0:00Hello and welcome to the Daily Office podcast, the NoFus No Frills podcast for morning and evening prayer, according to the ACNA's 2019 Book of Common Prayer, presented by Trinity Anglican Seminary. I'm your host, Andrew Russell, and welcome to Morning Prayer. Before we begin our time together, let's spend a few moments in silence. The Lord is in His holy temple, let all the earth keep silence before Him. Let us humbly confess our sins to Almighty God. Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done. And apart from your grace, there is no health in us.

1:02O Lord, have mercy upon us, spare all those who confess their faults, restore all those who are penitent, according to your promises declared to all people in Christ Jesus our Lord, and grant almost merciful Father for His sake that we may now live a godly, righteous, and sober life to the glory of your holy name. Amen. Grant to your faithful people merciful Lord, pardon and peace that we may be cleansed from all our sins and serve you with a quiet mind through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. O Lord, open our lips and our mouth shall proclaim your praise. O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen. Praise the Lord, the Lord's name be praised.

2:02The mercy of the Lord is everlasting. O come, let us adore Him. O come, let us sing unto the Lord, let us heartily rejoice in the strength of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving and show ourselves glad in Him with Psalms. For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods. In His hand are all the depths of the earth, and the heights of the hills are His also. The sea is His for He made it, and His hands prepared the dry land. O come, let us worship and fall down, and kneel before the Lord our Maker, for He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. The mercy of the Lord is everlasting. O come, let us adore Him.

3:02The psalm appointed for this morning is Psalm 25. Unto you, O Lord, will I lift up my soul, my God, I have put my trust in you. O let me not be ashamed, neither let my enemies triumph over me. For all those who hope in you shall not be ashamed, but those who deal untruly shall be put to confusion. Show me your ways, O Lord, and teach me your paths. Lead me forth in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation, and you has been my hope all the day long. Call to remembrance, O Lord, your tender mercies, and your loving kindnesses which have been from of old. O remember not the sins and offenses of my youth, but according to your mercy, think on me, O Lord, in your goodness. Gracious and righteous is the Lord, therefore will he teach sinners in the way, those who are meek shall he guide in judgment, and those who are gentle shall he teach his way.

4:15All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth to those who keep his covenant and his testimonies. For your names, say, O Lord, forgive my sin, for it is great. Who is the one who fears the Lord? He shall teach him in the way that he shall choose. He shall dwell at ease, and his seed shall inherit the land. The Lord reveals his secret counsel to those who fear him, and he will show them his covenant. My eyes are ever looking to the Lord, for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and in misery. The sorrows of my heart are enlarged, O bring me out of my troubles. Look upon my adversity and misery, and forgive me all my sin. Consider my enemies how many they are, and how they bear a tyrannous hate against me.

5:18O keep my soul and deliver me, let me not be ashamed, for I have put my trust in you. Let integrity and righteous dealing preserve me, for my hope has been in you. Deliver Israel, O God, out of all his troubles. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. A reading from the first book of Chronicles, beginning with the 28th chapter, the first verse. David assembled at Jerusalem all the officials of Israel, the officials of the tribes, the officers of the divisions that serve the king, the commanders of thousands, the commanders of hundreds, the stewards of all the property and livestock of the king and his sons, together with the palace officials, the mighty men, and all the seasoned warriors,

6:19then King David rose to his feet and said, hear me, my brothers and my people, I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and I made preparations for building. But God said to me, you may not build a house for my name, for you are a man of war, and have shed blood. Yet the Lord God of Israel chose me from all my Father's house to be King over Israel forever, for he chose Judah as a leader, and in the house of Judah my Father's house, and among my Father's sons, he took pleasure in me to make me King over all Israel, and of all my sons, for the Lord has given me many sons, he has chosen Solomon, my Son, to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel. He said to me, it is Solomon your Son, who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my Son, and I will be his Father.

7:23I will establish his kingdom forever if he continues strong in keeping my commandments and my rules as he is today. Now therefore in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever, and you, Solomon, my Son, know the God of your Father, and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever. Be careful now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it. Then David gave Solomon his Son the plan of the vestibule of the temple, and of its houses, its treasuries, its upper rooms, and its inner chambers, and of the room for the mercy seat, and the plan of all that he had in mind for the courts of the house of the Lord, all the surrounding chambers, the treasuries of the house of God, and the treasuries for dedicated gifts,

8:43for the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, and all the work of the service in the house of the Lord, for all the vessels for the service in the house of the Lord, the weight of gold for all golden vessels for each service, the weight of silver vessels for each service, ак the weight of the golden lampstands and their lamps. The weight of gold for each lampstand and its lamps. The weight of silver for a lampstand and its lamps according to the use of each lampstand in the service. The weight of gold for each table for the show visitor. The silver for the silver tables, and pure gold for the forks, the basins, and the cups for the golden bulls and the weight of each. For the silver bulls and the weight of each. for the altar of incense made of refined gold and its weight. Also, his plan for the golden chariot of the cherubim that spread their wings and covered the ark of the covenant of the Lord. All this he made clear to me in writing from the hand of the Lord,

9:43all the work to be done according to the plan. Then David said to Solomon, his son, be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. For the Lord God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished. And behold the divisions of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God. And with you and all the work will be every willing man who has skill for any kind of service. Also, the officers and all the people will be holy at your command. The word of the Lord, thanks be to God. We praise you, O God. We acclaim you as Lord. All creation worships you, the Father ever lasting. To you all angels, all the powers of heaven, the chariobim and seraphim, sing in endless praise.

10:46Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of power and might. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. The glorious company of apostles praise you. The noble fellowship of prophets praise you. The white-robed army of martyrs praise you. Throughout the world, the Holy Church acclaims you. Father of majesty unbounded, your true and only son, worthy of all praise and the Holy Spirit, advocate and guide. You, Christ, are the King of glory, the eternal Son of the Father. When you took our flesh to set us free, you humbly chose the Virgin's womb. You overcame the sting of death and opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers. You are seated at God's right hand in glory. We believe that you will come to be our judge. Come then, Lord, and help your people,

11:48bought with the price of your own blood, and bring us with your saints to glory ever lasting. Save your people, Lord, and bless your inheritance. Governe and uphold them now and always. Day by day, we bless you. We praise your name forever. Keep us today, Lord, from all sin. Have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy. Lord, show us your love and mercy, for we have put our trust in you. In you, Lord, is our hope. Let us never be put to shame. A reading from the epistle of St. Paul to the Ephesians, beginning with the sixth chapter, the first verse. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your Father and Mother. This is the first commandment with a promise, that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land.

12:49Fathers do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Bondi servants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ. Not by the way of I service as people pleasers, but as bond servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man. Knowing that whatever good anyone does, this He will receive back from the Lord, whether He is a bond servant or as free. Masters, do the same to them, and stop your threatening, knowing that He who is both their master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with Him. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil,

13:51for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace, in all circumstances, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one, and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

14:51To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me, and opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly as I ought to speak. So that you also may know how I am, and what I am doing, Ticacus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will tell you everything. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage your hearts. Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ, with love incorruptible. The Word of the Lord, thanks be to God. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel. He has come to His people, and set them free.

15:53He has raised up for us a mighty Savior, born of the house of His servant David. Through His holy prophets, He promised of old, that He would save us from our enemies, from the hands of all who hate us. He promised to show mercy to our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant. This was the oath He swore to our Father Abraham, to set us free from the hands of our enemies, free to worship Him without fear, holy and righteous in His sight, all the days of our life. You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the most high, for you will go before the Lord to prepare His way, to give His people knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins. In the tender compassion of our God, the dawn from on high shall break upon us,

16:53to shine on those who dwell in darkness, and in the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, Amen. Now let us confess our faith in the words of the Apostles Creed. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day, He rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church,

17:54the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting, Amen. The Lord be with you, and with your Spirit, let us pray. Lord have mercy upon us, Christ have mercy upon us, Lord have mercy upon us. Our Father, who art in heaven, howl would be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever, Amen. O Lord, show your mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation,

18:54O Lord, guide those who govern us, and lead us in the way of justice and truth. Clothe your ministers with righteousness, and let your people sing with joy. O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance. Give peace in our time, O Lord, and defend us by your mighty power. Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor be taken away. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and take not your Holy Spirit from us. O Lord, grant your people grace to withstand the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil, and with pure hearts and minds to follow you, the only God, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever, Amen. O mighty God, you gave your servants' constants and her companions,

19:54boldness to confess the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, before the rulers of this world, and courage to die for this faith. Grant that we may always be ready, to give a reason for the hope that is in us, and to suffer gladly for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen. O Lord, our Heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, you have brought us safely to the beginning of this day. Defend us by your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor run into any danger, and that guided by your Spirit, we may do what is righteous in your sight, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. O mighty and everlasting God, who alone works great marvels, sinned down upon our clergy, and the congregations committed to their charge, the life-giving Spirit of your grace,

20:55shower them with a continual dew of your blessing, and ignite in them a zealous love of your gospel, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And we pray, give us such an awareness of your mercies that with truly thankful hearts, we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to your service and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with you and the Holy Spirit be honor and glory throughout all ages. Amen. O mighty God, you have given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplications to you, and you have promised through your well-beloved son that when two or three are gathered together in his name, you will grant their requests. fulfill now, O Lord, our desires and petitions, as may be best for us, granting us in this world knowledge of your truth
