If we want to have more games we probably need a shorter game and most, whether it's most football people would say and players certainly in the PA and others would say we're probably just about maxed out on the number of minutes. It is likely we'll see and we aren't talking to the club see some meaningful change in our scheduling in 2028. That was Craig Drummond, chairman of the AFL. He was speaking about shorter games, shorter quarters this week at the sport next conference. Drummond are we definitely heading there? I know we work in talk back radio. I don't think we've had anyone ring up. Get you know what would be great for the game? Is the game being shorter? Yeah, I mean it's like telling a movie fan that you know, us Martin Scorsese to make his movie shorter. It's like well what I want less of a good thing. It's the same with footies. You know, footies fans want as much footies they can get. Having said that, you know, the game needs to have a really good look at the next broadcast deal. What it's going to look like. Number of teams in the competition. We still think we'll be at 19 teams by 2028.

We think in the decade from there will probably be at 20 teams. The AFL players association continues to carry significant weight on things like this. Days of breaks. He's here. He's here. Yeah, fix it. Don't shorten the cord. It's been get rid of the junk that has crept into our game. Don't stop the game for someone who's got an ingrown toenail or suffering cramp. If they have to stop the game that play needs to go off the ground. We can't have this stop the game. You don't have to look around and have nominated. But it's pretty simple. One in the Melbourne jumper. One in a Richmond jumper. If there's an extra one, it's a free kick against. Get sharper on your score reviews. Get sharper on your boundary throwings. Just get the ball and toss it back in. There's so many easy wins. Then let's discuss whether you want to do shorter quarters. Good point. I'll be interested to see if there is a call out there who says I want the game shorter. I think it's about managing your list better as well. I think Jolong V3, I'm not a free man. I've not rested players at all. That's Jolong, the Kings of resting players.

I think that's where you can manage your list better than having to shorten a game football.
