Jeremiah 29:4-7

4 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;

5 Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;

6 Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

My name's Mackenzie and I started to go fund me for the adoptive mother of a nonverbal autistic child. The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able to find adequate care for this autistic child. So she really needed some help with living expenses, paying some back bills. So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them during this crisis. And we raised about $10,000 within just a couple of months.

I think that the surprising thing was by telling a clear story and just like really being very clear about what we needed, we had some really generous donations from people who were really moved by the situation that this family was struggling with. GoFundMe is the world's number one fundraising platform, trusted by over two hundred million people. Start your GoFundMe today at GoFundMe.com, that's GoFundMe.com, GoFundMe.com. This podcast is supported by GoFundMe. Monday, March 16, 2026, wherever we are, by Robert E. Borgie, Oregon, USA. Reach Aramaya 29, 4 through 7. Before I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. I was writing my electric bicycle along a rural road and stopped on a bridge to admire

the scenic views. There was a small river below and mountains all around. In the middle of the stream was a large boulder. Its top just inches above the fast moving water. I was surprised to see a leafy sapling growing from the rock. It looked to be about three feet tall and in good health. From my vantage point above, I could detect no other growth on the rock. Whether the seed was blown there by the wind or dropped by a bird, the young tree had somehow found a foothold and was flourishing. I thought of today's reading in Jeremiah. It encourages us to embrace our current circumstances, to survive and even thrive, knowing that God has a plan for our lives, and for how we can be of service to others. Wherever we find ourselves in life, there are many ways we can bless others as we accept God's blessings for us.

We can reflect Christ and offer a Christian witness in our communities through acts of forgiveness, love. Gracious God, show us opportunities to bless others, wherever we are, amen.
