Okay ladies we've got some headlines. Let's start with the secret live of Mormon wives, season five trailer, dives into Taylor Frankie Paul scandal and reveals at release date. Guys did you see Taylor Frankie Paul? She commented on my latest post. No, ma'am. I'm a man, report the tea and she said my ultimate girl crush. What? And I saw her ultimate girl crush. I was like, oh, I said, jinks. Oh, yes. I jinks it back with a winky face. I know. So now what? We're just going from here. I don't even know. Now what? No, I love her. Well, she loves you. But I was like, ultimate girl crush. That's like such a compliment. It was actually. Have you ever gotten that from anyone? No. It's really fun. I never have. I know. I was just like, I know people are going to be like, they're going to say their things or whatever.
No, we never. But like, it was a nice compliment. Yes, it is. I love that. Things girl. But no, we've shared DMs. And what I love about her is that she is so authentically herself and she has walked through so many things and she just continues to just keep walking through it. And I think that's why she's my ultimate girl crush because she's never. She's not by any means perfect nor is anybody. She's done some things that have not been great. She's been hurt. She's like, there's so many things. And that she still is like walking through wanting to like be the better version of herself and heal and grow. And like, that to me is so attractive. Yeah. Where is she now? Like, what's going on? Where's her life? I've, you know, I don't, I can't more than wife too much. But I am excited about this new season. I know. So tell me. Okay. So season five picks up in the aftermath of Taylor Frankie Paul's explosive year, including the domestic violence investigation, which ultimately led to ABC pulling the bachelor at.
The scandals, the major storyline with the Taylor with the trailer teasing the fallout with mom talk questions about what really happened between Taylor and Dakota. The cast confronting the fact that there's still a lot of the public with public. There's still a lot of things that the public don't know. So obviously there are very complicated relationship. Season five will be much shorter than previous seasons consisting of just five episodes in premier September 10th on Hulu. So are you guys going to watch the new season? You know, I never finished the last season. I'm either. But I want to see this play out, I think. So I think that I will go back and finish before this comes on and watch five. Because I do, I do, I am invested in her story. And I would like to see how this plays out on the show. Yeah. I'm not probably going to watch there. Yeah. And it's not going to be all kind of felt the. Not not not and not even hateful, just I.
I have just had to be so protective of everything in my brain recently. Yeah. It's just like I don't need to add in the added noise or like whatever that does to my nervous system which may be ridiculous, but I think my empathy leads or something and I get really like. I want the cliff notes. I'll give you the cliff notes. Yeah, I think I think I got last year as I was like, oh, it's just everything's so heavy. I'm not going to watch. Yeah, yeah. But I want to watch it this year just to. We'll just because I mean, I'm Taylor. You have to watch Taylor come on the show. Come on, girl. Why isn't she on the couch right now? I know. Let's talk about all the things because gosh, have we gone through similar things at times. And I am a little invested in them now that we've interviewed some of them and like you get to know them, you know, a little differently and ask different questions and without editing. I know. So I care that they're all well, but I'm probably not going to. Well, everyone be on it. Do we know that? Like as everyone returning. I don't know. I don't know. And it is out, right? Apparently she's on the five.
Yeah, I don't know if she's on her outfit. I think she quit again. I don't know. I'm not really sure. Yeah, I'm not. But I mean, she's blown up. So I don't know, but I don't know if she's on it. Yeah, I have no clue. Did you all see, is it real that Connor is going to be on? I think he's going to be on dancing in the stars. She leads us to dancing with the stars Val. Addresses fans. High expectations for former pro dancer Jenna Dewan. So Jenna Dewan joins season 35 of the Dancing with Stars. Partner with Val. I'm actually like, I'm truly excited for Julius Stiles. You guys like my millennial heart. Oh, yeah, yeah. And she doesn't do that move from save the last day. Like she has to, right? Like there's no, of course. You know what the move I'm talking about, right? Of course she will. Yeah. I mean, I haven't watched Dancing with the stars in years. I mean, I've caught like little snippets. Like sometimes I love watching like the favorite weeks or, you know, or the most memorable week. But I truly haven't sat down and watched week one on.
And I like, I'm really invested in a lot of these dancers or a lot of these stars coming on. I know. I just saw it yesterday. I actually paid attention, which I, you know, because my husband's on a constant campaign, by the way. To be honest. Every single time, you know, they'd love us on Dancing with the Stars. I'm sure they would. So I saw, and I'm forgetting his name, the sweet security guard from Jimmy Fallon. Oh, right. Yes. Like I want, I love him. And I want him on there. Like I, that was kind of exciting to me. Jenna's going to rock it. Oh, Galermo. Galermo. Oh, yeah. Dancing with, yeah, dancing with them. Oh. With a G R G. I know I'm hard, I like, Laramau. Yeah, that was my terrible American accent with it. But she's, he's dancing with Whitney Carson, who's pregnant, which I also love. Oh, yeah. That's really sweet. Logistically, they might get a little tricky. The big belly right around headlight. I mean, I don't think she's there.
Yeah. But yeah, but I just think it's going to be a really good season. And I feel like the shows got like this resurgence. And yeah, it does seem a little bit more. I don't know why it feels a little like a revival of sorts for it. Yeah. Season 35. That's a long, that is so long. Yeah, Julia Stiles, we get, I didn't see the full last. I just saw a post for Connor. I was like, oh my gosh. That's yeah, but Connor is Connor is doing the show as well. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and health captive for nine months. I survived. And I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart. And these are the survivor files. I just remember this low taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything. Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable.
I knew if he woke up without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. They're stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the survivor files with Elizabeth Smart on the I Heart Radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. That call was really pivotal for me. Hey, it's Emily Tish Sussman. And this season on She Pivots, the podcast where women share bold career moves and personal turning points that changed everything. I sit down with culture shifting women who share their pivots like Para Olympian Alley Truett. I was like, I'm on out from a shark attack. There's no way in 11 months I'm making the very long text. Advocate Elizabeth Smart. I still feel that drive that I can still make a difference. So I'm going to keep going. Celebrity chef Carla Hall was that scary to walk away
from such a stable career after just two years. No, I was more afraid of being unhappy than I was broke and in a dead and job that I didn't enjoy. And feminist legend, Gloria Steinem. All of us were trying to express women's real lives. We need a meeting place of our own. And if I can contribute to that, I'd like to maintain that and leave this house for that purpose. Listen to She Pivots on the I Heart Radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Dear Hunnies, this is goodbye. In February of 2024, celebrated illustrator and children's book author, Patre Mathers and her husband Michael, nailed letters to dozens of friends and family members to let them know that they had died by suicide. By the time you get the shalliter of both Petra and I will be dead. Next stop, Wonderland. Patre and Michael were by all accounts healthy, happy, and in love. Why did they do it? And what did it do to the people they left behind? I would have given a million reasons
to not leave this world had I known. I keep coming back to a truly hope that Patre was a thousand percent on board with the plan. Do you think of him as having killed her? Yes, I do. I hold Michael responsible for my mother's death. I'm Leon Nevock. And I'm Alice Gregory. Together, we set out to interview everyone who got one of Patre and Michael's letters. As one married couple, trying to understand another. Listen to death of an artist on the iHeart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On big lives, we take a single cultural icon. People like Jane Fonda, George Michael, Richard Pryor. And we pull apart the story behind the image. And we do this by digging through the BBC's Fast Archive. We're talking iconic moments in broadcast history. I'm not just a boxer. I'm educating. I can talk all week on millions of subs. And forgotten interviews that change how we see these giants of our culture.
Well, if changing the system from the ground up is revolutionary, then I'm revolutionary. We're here for the messy, the brilliant, the human version of our heroes. And when I go on stage, I like to dress as slutty as possible, because it makes me dance better for some reason. I'm Emmanuel Jochi. I'm Kai Wright. And this is Big Lives. Listen to Big Lives on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get podcasts. Hi, I'm Michael and Pary Oli. I want to tell you about my new podcast, Underground Zero. I'm on the plane, honey. Something's wrong. It's about what happened in the aftermath of the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. We're looking at the opportunity of a lifetime for us and the other families. While the world was mourning, five powerful New York families saw an opportunity. The debris supposed to go to the city on Salvador and some of it will. They would go on to make millions of dollars. What's in the tunnels? Go on bars, silver ingots. It could be worth half a billion.
And they would have made more if it hadn't been for one courageous cop. No, Dad, don't. You're going to need all of us. I'll call you when I can. Frank, be careful. Underground Zero, starring Steve Sharipa, Ray Abruzzo, and me, Michael and Pary Oli. Would you be willing to see your family go to pieces? Some ways it already has. Listen to Underground Zero on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. I want to know y'all saw it's Jenna because obviously she was in step up. And I was watching an interview with her in Val where she's like, but Ballroom is so different. And I like listen. How do I say this? I know. Well, I don't know because I'm not a dancer. But like obviously the styles are so different from like hip hop, right? So like there's hip hop and then there's like ballroom and all the things. And like your body has to be different. Having said that, you still have the like dancer.
Yes. Like the way that their bodies are able to move in a way of like how they flow. It's just like within them. And I think Coria, and maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I, because I'm not a dancer, I don't know. Having said that, like I figure skated. So I feel like was I good at dancing with the stars? No, did I do well enough? Yeah, I got to the semi-finals. But I think my dancing, my figure skating, like I knew how to do like long, like I couldn't figure out a point my toe to save my fucking life. But like I couldn't, you know, like with the like the elegance of like that, like I was able to like lock in there. I think that gave me a per, like small present advantage, like very small, but like to say like, oh, it's so different. I'm like, you're going to be fine. Yeah, I don't love it when there are, there have been other instances when people are on there that have like clear. Well, a clear answer. Like she had a background. I don't.
Caitlin Bristow. I just think that takes away again, I don't really watch the show, but it kind of takes away from the point of the show. Yeah, you want like the Bobby Bones is at the world. Yeah, you're like the whole point is like the celebrities that aren't dancers, you know, like in my mind. So, but again, I mean, they've had people before. So. Yeah. But I still love her and I'm going to watch it. Oh, yeah. It's not. I can't wait for her to like to see this, like when they do hip hop week, like, oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, she is going to slow it. So, and I think at the end of the day, I don't think it's the best answer. I mean, we saw that obviously with like Bobby's case and, you know, a couple of their people where, you know, I mean, look at Whitney. Whitney was the best answer. Yeah. It's really about how you connect with the audience too. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like that's where I think it. Yeah. So, I don't even think. True. You know, that she needs to, like, I think that'll be the, the piece because it's like I don't, it's not the best answer wins. It's who connects with America. Right. Well, and I think too when you're watching it,
at least for me when I have watched it, I prefer to see growth, not just a great dancer from the get go. Right. And I think that's what I think is, again, the point of the show. So I agree with that. So maybe it's not really, it's a little bit of a leg up. And I bet it feels a little unfair when you're in it, when you're competing in it. Sure. I mean, I remember being like with, we have the gym, you know, gym, the gym is, yeah. You know the gym is, yeah. I'm just like, yeah. Of course, like they're amazing, you know, but at the same time. And but she also, like, she was amazing and like, people loved her. Yes. And like, I loved her. Like, she was incredible. But again, I think there was probably a better dancer, but yet, people loved her, you know, and so she won and stuff. But I think that happens a lot. I think it's just like who connects to the people? Yeah. That's why I think the winner last year was the winner last year. Like I, I, I adored him. What a sweetheart. I am just absolutely not a dancer. Yeah. So anybody that has that history is just so fun for me to watch. I just admire dancers so much. I mean, I even see even watching love, do ballet.
And like when she learns these routines at cheer and I'm just like, oh, what a talent. I just don't have that. Like the figure skating, the, no, I just, it's not anything in me. It's so fun to watch. So I'm, I actually, I'm excited and I'm excited for Jenna, because I think she's pretty hot and awesome. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's going to be awesome. Awesome. And her body and those outfits, like she showed me everything. I love it. I know, but I was watching the Good Morning America segment with, I just loved Julia Stiles, but Carrie Washington came on and like, I like for God, she was in, save the last dance. Oh, I forgot that. Like they were both like both characters. I'm like, we need to like, can we have a girl's weekend? We just like watch that again. I forgot that. For me too. Like I forgot she was like the, the friend. When did that movie come out? Oh God. Not a clue. Anna. Anna friend. 19, well, it's 25 years or I think it was 20. Is it, is it, is it, is it, is it 20 or 25 years? Has to be in 20, 2001, 2001.
So yeah, 25, 25. Wow. 25 years old that movie. Oh, we were in high school. I was junior in high school. Yeah, junior in high school. I was a freshman in college. I'm still processing the information given to us, 2002. And that wow. Wow. Wow. And that is why. And watch it. Is anyone else watching or is it just going to be me? I'll probably watch, yeah. Oh good. Yeah, I'll watch a little. Oh good. Oh good. I don't usually do. I don't usually either. Yeah, we can, we can chat about it. Yeah. There's some people that didn't come back though. I always get Sal and Sasha as an ask to be a pro. I think he's great. Gleb did not ask to get be a pro this year. Who else is not coming back? So they ask them or pros asked to be back. Well, I mean, I think pros wanted to be back. I don't know, but like there are, I don't know. I think they have to ask them. Charna is back, which is awesome. I love Charna. Oh, that would be great. She's back, which I was like, remember we just interviewed her? Yeah. And I'm like, if they asked you.
Yeah. I can't remember her reaction. She knew. Yeah. She knew. She gets off of us and puts on her eye heart, dancing with the stars T-shirt, and Charna. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and health captive for nine months. I survived. And I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. Scott Wolfe's ex, Kelly Apologized for Nightmare and Mid-Drug Induce Mania with Psychosis Diagnosis. Kelly Wolfe is opening up about the mental health crisis that made headlines last year revealing that she was diagnosed with what she describes as a breakthrough-induced mania with psychosis. She says the episode was triggered by combination of stress. Past trauma, hormonal changes, hallucinogens, and prescribed medications. She is taking responsibility for behavior during the crisis, acknowledging that she was delusional and that the accusation posts and things she said about Scott or not based in reality. Kelly issued a deeply emotional apology to Scott and her three children saying she profoundly regrets the pain. She caused them, and crediting them with helping her to get to a safe place. Scott responded publicly with five heart emojis suggesting the former couple who are still navigating their divorce are in a much more peaceful place
as they focus on healing and their children. That's a pretty brave thing to do. I'm proud of her for acknowledging. And I mean, guys, there's just so much of everyone's story. We don't get to know. And married into that industry is so much more difficult than we... Listen, we know a little bit, even based off of our little orbits, right? Like the pressure and all the things. And I don't know. I just... For someone to... I think the apology is really... Precious, I'm just more like... I'm more overjoyed that she has some healing and that her kids and her and Anne Scott can have that piece together, you know? So I don't remember. Did she post stuff? I believe from my recollection and Hannah Crackchvey from Wrong, because I don't want to say it's wrong, but she had posted things about him being like abusive, I believe, or something like that. She hadn't gone to social media.
I don't want to misspeak that, because that's a pretty big thing that I just said if it's not true. But I'm pretty sure she went to social media and said, yes, she made that claim. But that he was abusive and whatever. Because I was like, why are we... That's a very... Like, if that's not true, that is a very not okay claim to say that is... Like, you can't say that, and then there not be facts or truth to it. Like that... Some of the characters... Is this someone's like saying like, you're abusive, God. Right, right. Did she say in this statement, did she come back and say the things that she said for not true? Yeah, that... Yeah, that was not... Where are we? Okay, so, and I was asking because I did not remember that... Or not based in reality. Okay, great. Because I was like, why do we need this explanation? You know, like, I think a lot of times it's just so much better off if this stuff is kept in private, you know, for these people. But then I'm like, oh, so much social media made some bad claims. So that explains it. And that needs to happen. That's not... It's not okay. You know, again, now we understand why or whatever, but to make claims, big claims, like you said,
about someone and to let that stay out there, unfortunately, sticks with people. And if you don't get some kind of closure on that, then that's just who that person is to everybody. And that's not a fair father. Yeah. You know, like, that's a... And their kids are older. Yeah. I love the repair in it. Yes, I do too. A beautiful thing. And I think that was probably really hard. Right? But also, 100%, you know, that was... Yeah, the repair is... That was needed if it wasn't true, right? Mm-hmm. It just makes me going back to like, it makes me sad. Because, you know, obviously my entire algorithm right now is either PMDD stuff, parimenta pause, and it's, you know, it's some is half of it's funny and half of it's like, I am struggling. Right. You know what I mean? Like, I am like... And I've just... And again, because it is my entire algorithm, it makes me like so sad, because I'm like, there's so many women struggling.
So that, like, it's just... And then, like, with this psychosis thing of this and stress and, you know, prescriptions and... I mean, there's just so much that I'm like... And then I go into... You all have been watching... Did you guys watch that three episode? The Pat... I'm on like episode two. Okay. So, pastor's wife... Yeah, pastor's wife, Alan, I just finished that too. But there is... You know, there's just... The whole thing just like makes me sad, right? And I just think there's just like a big mental health crisis. And I think... And I'm not just saying like, oh, it's just us. I know in men too, and there's certain ages that there's actually the suicide rate for men and the 35 to 50 or something, because they'd go to where... Like, that's actually extremely high right now. It's super high in our... In our county, yes. Because they didn't feel like they fulfilled or they've let their family down. And so the rate is... Yeah, and Amy was saying that the rate is just like...
Yeah, I remember talking to her about that. It's very high in there. Yeah. But... And so like not taking away from like what men go through, but... Also, we can't speak of what men go through. Right. So it's fair for us to have more compassion on the woman side. But just like... I just didn't... I didn't walk into 42 knowing like how I would... I didn't know that this was gonna like start being a thing of like all the... The paramanopossing. So it does feel like it's been like dumped. And I feel like that's added stress. So I just... I just have so much like heart for people that go through these things on a even bigger level because I just... It's mad. They're prescribing things over things instead of getting to... Yeah, the root of... The root of... Yeah. ...possible things, what you guys... I watched this... Love them or hate them. I don't care what you guys think of them. But there was an old interview that came up with Tom Cruise and Matt Lauer. How he was talking about postpartum depression and he's just like... Stop just masking it with a medication.
Like, and that's what Dr. Aiman's doing with me. He's like... I will prescribe you it. He's like, but we have to get to the root of where in your blood work or where in this or where in... And then we can talk about... Good. ...like giving you something if you want to like... Love love. I'm just talking to him and he's like, No, he's like, I'm not gonna do that. And it's like... It's basically what he was saying too. And Tom Cruise got annihilated for like... Yeah. His thoughts about that. He's like that. And it's like... He wasn't saying that like medicine wasn't good for me. Like obviously some people need medicine. And I might... Well, and Dr. Aiman says that. He's a satire. He prescribed medicine to people. You know, and my reaction is more like... Yeah. Yeah, like I'm like, that's his job. So I'm like, my God. But he's not prescribing me yet. Cause he's like, you got to get to the root of what it is to like figure it out. So it's like, I wonder what her journey is. And I just have so much heart. And because I'm seeing and feeling and like all of that, it's like, it's just a lot. And I think people just need to give grace all around.
I love how Scott. I mean, we've had him on the show and he was so loving and sweet about her. And like that shows like his heart, you know? It's like everyone's just like, fucking trying with so many different levels of all the things. All trying. Yeah. Well, and let me ask you a quick question. Not to... On that, does it... Do you feel like it helps or it hurts that your whole algorithm is now this and that you're watching it? For me, it helps just because I'm like, I don't feel alone in it. And there's been like so many things where like, I have like shared with Alan where it's like, hey, if your wife is like, it's like, it's not you. You know, because there's things where it's like, I can't... I can't describe it to him. Right. But like this might, message from this husband might help describe it to him. Yeah. You know what I mean? And so it's like, it does help. But no, it's not making me like, go into a darker place. Right. And I'm more of like, oh, I wonder what's helping for this person. Or like, oh, God, I don't feel alone in this. And like, that's where it's been. Oh, go. I just don't know how like, how do we feel at 50?
I think it's amazing, apparently. Like, we're gonna go with that. That's what I'm gonna say. Well, I'm just saying, like, I'm really like 42, like, don't know. I'm not saying 50s are great. No, I've always heard that. So I just, like, I'm only a few years into this, like, whatever this is, and I'm already exhausted. So seven years are, you know, well, for me, it's gonna be five years from now. Am I even more exhausted? That's what I, I think that's the part that I like to feel defeated by because it's like, I feel very much like I'm trying to keep my car on the road right now. Like, I'm just trying to keep my, like, even today I could feel it. Like, I just don't want to say too much. I don't want to say too little. I don't want to get myself overly anxious. I don't like, I'm just trying to get myself to bedtime. Like, marking myself safe from myself, you know, like it's exhausting. And I'm a few years in on it and navigated, having a baby at 41. So assuming that the Pyramid of Pause and the Postpartum were happening at the same time,
it's a shicho. And I'm trying to, like, I even voiced my mood Nate on the way here. And I was just like, dude, like, I, what do I need to do to make it so that, like, a full week of my life, a month doesn't feel like, I can't, it's just, it's a really, I'm doing a couple of things one that I got from Amy that's been really helpful. Tell me. Tell me, Diane. Give me like another week doing it. Okay. And then I'll report back next week on our, on our wind down. But there's two things. And then there's another thing Nate actually gave me that is a, a nasal spray. Okay. So I need it. I'm gonna, I'll, I, let me be the, the guinea pig. The guinea pig. Have a recommendation on something too. Okay, great. Yeah, I just from the PMDD stuff on essential too. Yeah. And I know you're trying other things, but you know, what I, what I think is most frustrating is it's not consistent. So like, it can get pretty dark some months, like depression feeling. Yeah. Where I'm also like, who am I?
You know, like I, obviously have like previous, I have previous history with depression and anxiety. But then like, some months is just very anxious. And then some months, I'm just ravinesly eating and I can tell I'm agitated, but I'm like, oh, okay, probably period and I'm good. I just like, I feel like I'm having the hypervigently check on myself. And, and then I'm responsible for all these people, you know? The family and I don't know. I just, it's like such an alienating feeling to not be in your own body and know your own body. Like I'm such a, so much of my time trying to get to know myself and like love on myself and know what I need. And in these weeks or these couple of days, I'll like, I'll say to him, like, okay, what do I need? And I don't even know what I need. So I put on my shoes and I walk and I try to do the things that I know were just good for me during tons of water, eat lots of protein, you know? But, ugh, it's like a, I don't know. Just feels like I am like, how do women do this for 10 years?
Yeah. Well, we'll get to the bottom of it together. We'll give grace for people like, you know, Ellie Wolf and people, other people that, it's not, it's out of body, literally. Out of body. Yeah. There's a cried wolf outline missed in that, by the way. Where's that? There's a cried wolf headline missed in that somewhere that they should have used. The journalism never goes away. Never. I don't think there's any other headlines that I've seen about a blade. I've had a blade. Not a good one. Oh, you know, there was a good one. But gosh, can I remember it? Probably cannot, because this is in the 40s. Yeah, I know. Isn't that so funny? I, there was one that I was looking at the other day on Instagram and I'm like, maybe I saved it because I thought this could be a good way to end and of course my internet is not. Nothing's working lately, by the way.
Yeah, no, looks like I didn't save it. All of it's just paramedicol saved. Okay. Oh, I'll pay him in a minute. Well, guys, I'm done. Yeah. I'm done. We'll leave you with something to next week. I promise. I hope so. Okay. Bye. Bye. Bye. On August 4th, 1962, Marilyn Monroe died. Then the rumors started and she died again.
