Writing Songs At 11 NBC's The Voice By 23 Singer Songwriter Syd Millevoi

About this episode

Raised in a lively Italian household with her mom, uncle, grandparents and brothers, Syd Millevoi never had a quiet moment. Her mother, a former opera singer, became her first vocal coach, helping Syd channel that chaos into art. By 11, she was writing songs, and by her teens was performing anywhere that had a mic. After studying music business and releasing her debut EP, "Everything I Couldn't Say," Syd found her voice as both a singer and songwriter. When she's not teaching or working toward her master's degree in vocal performance, she's fronting a wedding band that performs across the East Coast and New York. Inspired by her mother's legacy and her own determination, she hopes "The Voice" will be the stage that turns years of hard work into a Jbreakthrough moment.Blind Audition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYZacq-3E58 Battle Performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTGdWGykJ
