Lauren French is a proud Karajarri woman who grew up on Larrakia lands in the Northern Territory, and is now living and working on Wurundjeri land in Melbourne. She is a sexologist, educator and social change maker who works in many different capacities. She is a lead educator with Body Safety Australia and a clinical Sexologist at the Australian Institute of Sexology and Sexual medicine. She has a Bachelors in psychology and a Masters in Sexology with a specialisation in Sexuality Education. As an Aboriginal woman, she feel privileged to be able to support communities and families like her own in areas that are so often under supported.
Body Safety Australia is a not-for-profit organisation providing collaborative community solutions to foster robust, respectful relationships with children and young people. Their evidence-based strategies and programs empower and educate children and young people, their families, and professionals in the home and school environments, offline and online. They have a strong commitment to provide all communities with body safety education that celebrates children of all socio-economic status, religions, abilities, sexuality and/or family structure.
