Neuroscientist and Professor
Dr. Christof Koch is a German-American neuroscientist and professor at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). He is known for his work on the neural code, the neural basis of consciousness, and the neural correlates of consciousness. Koch has received numerous awards for his research, including the National Medal of Science. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Koch has written several books on neuroscience and philosophy, including "The Quest for Consciousness". He is also a popular science writer and has written for publications such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Koch is currently a professor of neuroscience and physiology at Caltech, where he has been a faculty member since 1994.
