Erik Gustafsson is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who plays as a defenseman for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on January 15, 1992, in Stockholm, Sweden. Gustafsson played college hockey for the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. He was drafted by the Red Wings in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Gustafsson has also played for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Chicago Blackhawks.
