Peter Tschentscher

Peter Tschentscher is a German politician serving as the Mayor of Hamburg since 2015. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and has been the leader of the party in Hamburg since 2015. Tschentscher has been a member of the Hamburg City Council since 2004 and has held various positions within the party, including Secretary General and Chairman of the SPD Group in Hamburg. He has been a strong advocate for social justice and has worked to promote the interests of Hamburg's citizens. Tschentscher has also been a vocal critic of climate change and has implemented various initiatives to reduce Hamburg's carbon footprint. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
