Tina Smith

Tina Smith is an American politician serving as the senior United States Senator for Minnesota. She was elected in 2018 and is a member of the Democratic Party. Before her election, Smith served as the Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota from 2011 to 2019. She is the first woman to serve as Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota. Smith is also a former executive director of the Children's Defense Fund Minnesota. She has been a strong advocate for children's rights and education reform.
