Vladislav Krasnov

Vladislav Krasnov was a Russian dissident and historian who spent six decades studying and lecturing on Soviet history and literature. He graduated from Moscow State University in 1960 and worked with the Swedish Service at Radio Moscow before defecting to Sweden. He later moved to the United States, where he earned a master's degree in Slavic languages and a PhD in Russian Literature from the University of Washington. Krasnov was known for his expertise on Soviet history and literature and was a respected figure in academic circles. He passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on November 23, 2025.
