09/11/26 – HIGHLIGHTS of Brown Bag Mornings: 🎤 CARÍN LEÓN’S VEGAS NO-SHOW & 🎰 THE $45K GAMBLING NIGHTMARE
About this episode
The squad is diving into the "pendejo" chants in Vegas after Carín León left fans stranded with $30 Micheladas following back-to-back plane failures. We’re also reliving the trauma of National Picture Day after our childhood photos triggered fans to label Greg as the kid who definitely "ate glue" and "bit people". The Homie Helpline reaches a new level of intensity as a listener confesses to hiding a $45,000 debt from his family while paying a bookie out of his 401k. Things get even messier when comedian Jerry Garcia calls in to explain the "friendly neighborhood bookie" lifestyle and how he used to recruit players in his 20s. We also hear from Emmy, whose mother gambled away six months of rent and a $65,000 work settlement on mobile casino apps.

Man, I had to learn this the hard way. I used to treat my hair and beard like they were the same. Whatever soap was in the shower got used on everything. Convenient, right? Call this corrido sheet because we are talking about a major Mexican artist by the name of Karin León if you've heard this at a backyard before. Before. Shout out to this guy, but not because he got fans so upset he canceled his show last minutes before he was about to perform at the sphere in Las Vegas. Fans got the word that Carine Leon canceled his show. Listen to them react. I'm going to go to the concert hall. Here's the show. Oh. Oh. Oh. No, I'm going to go to the concert hall. It's just canceled his show, but it's no no no.
Yeah, they're. Damn. Damn. Damn. Hey, people were back because they had just bought $30 mutual. Yeah. And then they're walking back. They need to throw it. Do I can imagine parking, babysitter, calling off a work the next day. Or priority turning in. Yeah, already turned up. Like a quick party. Yeah. Yeah. You know, when they're wrapping around the casino or whoever is just waiting. They should have just let the music run and let everybody party inside at that point. At least their records. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, let the DJ play. Yeah. Play the graphics. Somebody get married right now. We're having a lot more than we thought about it right now. Who picked up there like a look alike? For real, Vagas. Where are you? Where are you? Where are you? He needed you. I have a cousin that looks even more like him and lives in Vegas. Like from that far away, dude, I would have been like that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. We want to show him. He looks like him. As you would be, being in Vegas and then whoever pops up. That little belly, but he goes. I was going to get him to. I was going to get him to.
I was. There was two different planes that had issues from his way to coming to Las Vegas. Okay, the first one was flying him from Edmo, CO2, Vegas around noon and it had a problem with its breaking system. So they arranged another aircraft. The second plane also developed a mechanical issue before takeoff. The pilots and airport authorities did not authorize the aircraft to fly. So ultimately, Gatine had to cancel the flight. Yeah. He's going to make it at all. Okay. Then he should have said something before. And everybody trying to make it do two planes. Yeah. It seems like he was trying to make it. Try not to tell everybody because then they're going to turn back or not by tickets. I would say that too. If you do two planes, two aerostar bands got messed up. Do you get to take, now you can't take commercial flight? And we'll see you in Mexico. Oh, damn. Yes. If a plane has an issue because then you got to pass through customs. And he's probably taking private jets. If you're Mexican region like I swear I'm not going to perform certain songs.
You got to do that stuff. Possibly. You got to deal with customs. It's a real thing. I'm not going to. It is. Yeah, he has like a couple of shows I believe he did not cancel the entire Vegas run. Yeah. So this morning, the sphere dates for tonight. Okay. Tomorrow and Sunday, they are still scheduled. That was just hung over then. He needs to make up the show. Oh, he will. Obviously he probably won't make up the show. But did you get better? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I just like this video that I'm showing you, clip up when on and on. Like everybody is just mean. They did a bunch of putting chance. Oh. Ding. That's what they're saying. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. You know how much we love. Oh, yeah. The proof is there. The proof is him. Oh, man. It's Tommy. Let me. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, right. It's Friday. I'm calling out. I'm calling out all the people on Instagram. All right. Okay. Talking down all my name when I'm down bad and I'm sick and I'm dying.
And I'm in my bed and I'm like, yeah, let's see. I'm done. Take me out right now. Uh huh. We were talking about our fans. Our fans. Oh, God. I'm not going to do it. Especially the IE ones. Oh. No. Perfect. Like I was saying, I was down bad sick. You know, I was in my death bed. I was just like, God, if you want to take me, you could take me right now. It's fine. You know, I'm just sick. We posted a little cute in a sick carousel. Yes, I was a national picture day. Picture day. A little picture day. And one of the pictures is posted of me as a kid. And everybody in the comments section just decided to roast me. Oh, yeah. And me only. No, they came in everybody. Yeah. But the stuff about you is hilarious because you're the last photo on her. Yes. So go look at it. Brown. My morning's one oh six on Instagram. It's all picture days that we had, right? Uh huh. Congee. Congee said, you guys go picture day. He just gave us one of him in the salad. Yeah. That's what I had. Yeah. My parents never bought it. But I can't get them a photo studio.
The sample one day. They picked the sample one. Yeah. We don't have to look like that. Yeah, I don't have a company name across there. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. The Gregs yours looked like you eat glue. I love people. That's literally one of the comments. Greg looks like he would bite people for fun. Yes. I see it. Still. Greg, you ain't glue as a kid. Didn't you? Still. Greg, you used to sniff markers. Still. And you were the cutest out of all of them. Greg, looks like he kept a musical cutest. Greg looks like he kept warms in his pot. Oh, they shut off your mind. Yeah. The people have spoken. Oh my god. Shut up. Oh, that was so funny. Big is the cutest one. I don't know. I mean, we're the cutest. What are best? Greg. What is what? What did it have to pencil? People took a white key. I know everybody was saying, who's that white key? Yeah. I was like, that key. That key looks like she wore a seas candy or something. I'm the lower one. What? What you like? You hit the like off. She was giving a wick sample. That's a turtle. She messed up.
Because my mom dressed up like that. And then all we wanted to do was play a handball. And let's see. Where's that cracker barrel? Hey, honey. What's your order? I was like eight. I was like eight. I'm truly cute too. I know someone called me Megamind. And you know, because there's so many good comments. Focus on the good. I can't understand the good. It's just the way that our hair was done back in the day. I'm begging my right there. It's the hair. Come back. Oh no. It too? People were saying that I chewed rocks. Oh, I'm not. You're bad. Somebody. Oh yeah, they were just counting my teeth. But it's okay. But it's okay because at least it didn't say we eat glue. We bite people. Oh, I heard it. My thing was they were so sure of it. Yeah. I don't even. It wasn't a question. No. They told you fact. Yeah. So how does glue taste? I've never tasted it before. Yeah, I've never tasted it before. I don't believe you. I've never tasted glue anywhere. That's weird because I used to lick bricks. What? Yeah. It's like I used to eat something all weird.
I used to lick bricks and eat sacks. I thought it was good. This is weird, huh? Yeah. But no, that's weird. That's weird. No, that's a weird thing. That's called iron deficiency. All right, check this out. Homey. Do you need a homey or need some help? I need your help. Do you need a line? I mean, online. We've got you four. The homey help line. Alyssa has a really, really big problem, right? Her husband is $30,000 in debt to a bookie. That's crazy. And he showed up to her work. Left a note and said, tell Xavier I need my money or I'll be back. All right, she freaked out. She made him promise to stop gambling. But football season just started. And she overheard him talking to his brother, supposedly, about over-unders and spreads. And he said he swears he's not betting. He was just helping his brother. He's just being a nice, well, good brother. He's helping his brother join him in a $30,000 debt. Yeah. Definitely. Yeah, exactly.
It definitely was not a straw bet. So yeah, so now she's like, how am I supposed to believe him after everything that happened? And if you ever been with the gambler, how did you know when enough was enough? Oh, okay. We put the call out there. And we have Justina and Orange. Justina. Hello. Hello. What up, Justina? Oh, Justina. Hey, Comte. Comte. You're dope as hell. You make me laugh on my worst day. So I appreciate it. Oh, thank you. I love you. Thank you so much. I'm scared. Hello. Okay. You go. Okay. We messed up the fire. Yeah. Yeah. Let me tell you something. I want to say something. I'm going to say something. I'm going to say something. I'm going to say something. I'm going to say something. I'm going to say something. I'm going to say something. I want to fight you. Yeah. We have to shut the up. Okay. We love you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Justina. Now, Justina, talk to us. Justina, tell us about your message. Okay. Okay. My man. Okay. So I love you. You're right. Um, you're right. Justina.
I love you. You're right. Um, you're right. Justina. I love you. Oh, just. Thank you. Oh, baby girl. Are we on speaker on Bluetooth? Because you're like cutting. Where you're driving to. Like a robot. Uh, can you put us to your ear? Put us to your ear hole. Hey, yeah. Justina, I love you. I'm just glad that. Hold on one second. Let's get her right. Let's get her right. Yeah. Give us a ton of gear. She was very full of compliments. And I like that. I'm words of affirmation. I'm a words of affirmation type of girl. You did it second chance. Adrian. Adrian in San Fernando. Adrienne. Try it on me. Hey, guys. Good morning. And this is actually a pleasure to actually talk to you guys. I'm actually nervous. I don't know why, but good morning, guys. When will the. Awesome. How to tell us. Yeah. This is a great day. Oh, no, you. No, you guys make us laugh every single day. So thank you so much for that. We love making people laugh. Yes. Yes. But I'm the gambler. Oh. It's okay, buddy. Let's talk. It's over two weeks over. So I'm trying to. What happened to you?
What happened to you? It's a good. Yeah. I'm trying to. I'm trying to. It's over. What happened to you? I'm just starting. What happened to you? Things to go. Oh, so I've been doing this for about two years and my family doesn't really know how bad it is. And hopefully they're not listening. But it starts off with like 10 dollars, maybe $15, $20. And after two years, it kind of gets to like, OK, $500, $400, maybe $350, $250. You kind of kind of figure out what your sweet spot. Obviously, there's never a sweet spot. You kind of keep chasing the hit. You hit big you feel good about yourself. It's that's open means that addiction is bad I can't stop because I got something Right once in my life. I can keep this going. You're almost there scary. Yeah, so for home boy Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, hold on. I have a question. How deep in the hole are you? 45 45 what 45 or thousand pesos?
Okay, 45,000 you're in debt 45,000 dollars, bro. You got a student loan debt right now You have a car payment right there. You just said oh it starts with five dollars and just like your ass. Oh The the value changes your mindset because what ten dollars is to somebody could be like, yo That's a lot of money for a coffee, bro. I'm like, nah man a hundred bucks. That's a straight bet for me, dude Oh, that's how you quantify it like someone can look at like a hundred dollars Oh, I could go shopping. You're like no, I could bet on the pistons Flip that that's kind of yeah, the way that you're sounding and the way that you said your family doesn't know I'm wondering are you married? No, no, no, I just What is it? What is it? Your mom first time I've actually said anything to anybody about it so
It feels good, but at the same time it's embarrassing. It's like why can't I stop? Yeah, oh Adrian, what is it that you bet on? Everything It started it started with stalker and then it went to football and then it went to golfing and then went to boxing and Like you can literally bet on anything and people don't don't know you can literally bet on anything that you want Yeah, it's gonna be what color the cool it is for when they When they win the game The towel is gonna be the glove right there Do you bet with a bookie like do you bet with a person or is it an app or is it a website? I've never had to deal with a bookie In general except maybe this past six months And honestly like every bookie is different right now. I'm on a payment plan So they're actually working out with me, but this is a weekly thing and yeah, I don't think people have like
2500 a week to pay so it's kind of stuff like that where you have to think about like that your payment plan 25 100 a week Agent agent just out of curiosity brother. What do you what do you do for living? Uh-huh I don't want to go with too much into details But information technology Okay, I see I see I see I knew people once I did I knew it so he has just And everything it was it was supposed to be a full-proof plan. It was supposed to be a secondary source of income But do you see that's why Oh boy, it's You keep missing you keep missing and it's good. I got the lock. It's gonna happen. Yeah It's gonna save your life And even not for like to get you out of that day like you want to get out of that the only thing you can do to win The way that I got the way that I got on this was a credit line So if I was using my own cash, I would not be in this hole So for other people out there We don't know if they're on a credit line or if this is out of their own income or how are they pulling the strings because they want their money back
And they're gonna get their money back. Yeah Okay, and I see a bunch of different feelings you're having I see that you feel relieved that you set it out loud finally Kind of like once you know once you recognize it you can start shipping away at it But also it must be very embarrassing It must be very human like dang like I got this far in in the hole and it's only and it's me to blame Yeah, yeah, you can't you can't you can't put one you said you're two weeks sober of gambling two weeks ago you stopped or Yeah, yeah, so I completely got off the book Um the hard part is I can't even watch sports without really like enjoying it like I It's really different So you have sex on ecstasy you can't it's weird after that man Oh my bad Um, hey, Drew one quick question. What's like the oddest thing that you've like bet on The horse racing. I don't even freaking know anything about horse
Hey, my dad my dad wins all the time My dad's really good at horse racing. Shoot me as info By the way, let these dad is also on the horn No, he's just I'm kidding. I'm kidding Yes, yeah Damn Okay, bro, I mean um, I don't know I think it's a sign because I honestly didn't think you guys were gonna answer so It feels good that I was able to open up an express this but damn Hold on the line. Let's see if we can find some resources and one thing that I do know Is that in like 20 minutes we're giving away a thousand bucks with brown bags Brown And that you said your payment plan is $2,500 a week a week or a every two weeks or I bet that'll help Every week How are you making that that payment? That's crazy. I'm basically pulling out from my four-oh-one-k Oh my god And I bet you you're young you don't sound old at all. Yeah, you you
I don't want to say my aid you don't have to Off the air, but yeah, I could just tell you're you're young. Yeah, you're You're gonna go. Thank you. He's laughing at the pain. Hold on hold on one So the way let's see you guys he ha ha all the next So this is real life. Yeah, it's emotions. It is chasing that but it's like it feeling depressed the rest of the time You know Shara so I put it to the man eyes All right, we're just talking to a gambler. Mm-hmm. Let's talk to a bookie Okay on the line we have El Bookie himself We have the homie Jerry Jerry Jerry Yeah, so I was up the bookie mayor right here at those orders. How do we? Jerry Jerry Garcett comedian Jerry Garcett your friend Concrete yes, what's up everybody? I do your friendly neighborhood bookie here
First of all we don't like this bad stigma is not bookie. It's forced consultant or A cousin he's not kidding guys. What's going on? I'm kind of wait. He's a bookie. Well, you know Jerry any gig Garcia is he has a side gig Jerry any side gig Garcia Jerry and his side gig Garcia so he's an ankle on the side Hey, your guys his tour stops is really where he has to go seek clients that haven't paid up I always make sure not to book shows in cities where there's a casino Wow, yeah, he doesn't come to my Vegas shows, but it that way Okay, how did you find yourself as a bookie? Oh, well, yes, the long story as a matter of fact I actually started as a gambler myself Um, also to say I'm not an actual bookie, but I do uh, like I'm like what they call an agent So I think I meant they were out here like recruiting players to send over to bookies You just hear
Yeah, how the fresh to use how debris is you do that to people No, because what happens is that I was a gambler myself, so I was in a debt too when I was a youngster But I was in my 20s. I got into major debt too, man And it got to a point where I was in a payment plant like the homie Adrian Uh, but I wasn't working for technology that you guys I was doing the little part-time job Don't cut don't cut. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. I forgot where I was at and anyways The point is uh, this is bookie uh, you know, we did a payment plan and he's like, man I had to learn this the hard way I used to treat my hair and beard like they were the same whatever soap was in the shower got used on everything convenient right? No, I followed advice that worked for other people Then I wondered why my curly beard still felt dry rough and hard to manage I finally realized my beard needed a routine built for it that led me to bask in lather Their beard growth magic is a natural growth oil that helps nourish follicles Softened beard hair and reduced dandruff and their men's healthy hair and beard starter kit include shampoo
Conditioner balm oil and a stimulator formula Now I know that one size fits all isn't always the answer So find out what works for your hair explore viral best sellers and products of healthier hair of all types from baskin lather Go to baskin lather co.com and use code brown bag mornings for 20% off that's 20% off at baskin lather co.com code brown bag mornings man, and you know to get you off the payment my payment plaster Send those players and we'll give you off a little commission off of that and that'll come off your books So for a long time, you know, all jokes aside, it got pretty serious in my early 20s I was gambling a lot on the lake of winning championships So how much We're talking about the early 2000s and the soot tempos I was betting anywhere from like 5 to 10,000 a month 5000 a month yeah, wow What money Jerry And I had a part-time job I had a I had a six-hour job man, so and you were in a comedian you weren't you weren't doing I was not a comedian
I was in the infoney at the time though, so it was It was a it was a it was a difficult time man, but you learned from it so in order so in order to get out of your day You got other people in debt I mean that's like a pyramid scheme like yeah, yeah That's that's all this beautiful country was based on You got from someone like how much has someone called you to go for me yeah Uh anywhere I mean anywhere about You know what when I said friendly members of bookie we really do keep it pretty friendly Uh, we cut people off often and early, so what happens that we do give a line of credit And what was and they they said they said that credit line So hey, what do you want 500 a thousand two hundred three hundred and we and we stick to that credit line Do once you hit that limit you cannot you cannot wager anymore the only way you can wager keep wagering is by paying off
Your credit line so whatever you bet you like it's that but the average is five hundred dollars And then you once you hit those five hundred you can hit those five hundred dollars That's a week for one week worth a wagering If you hit that early in the week like I'm like I you lose it on Monday night football You pay off your five hundred bucks on Tuesday and you're back in the game So that's how we keep people from getting themselves in two people of a whole Yeah, we don't want people We don't want people to get in the hole too much because then we lose that player And we eventually we got to do you know bad things or Jerry how many needs bro It's been I've been doing it 20 years man. Sorry. Yeah, it's been a couple of years And you look so sweet and you're little Because it's not me. I'm not the collector. I'm not the collector There's a message to your people. He's a messenger. I got a guy. Yeah, he's got a good cop
I'm the good guy. I'm like I come to pass a But I don't know send prover lemma's funny. Yeah, I'm not Okay, I said do give yeah, I know everybody says oh, you know, you tried to set yourself a limit The release comes down to that you know anybody It's for fun. Do it for entertainment purposes only and if you set yourself to anywhere from 100 balls to 20 But a week It's you beg just beg $10 per les you know just bet only on Sundays just play only on during full positive It gets crazy when everybody starts betting on Korean pickleball, you know that's I've heard that trouble Taiwanese baseball Don't find something Yeah, no final sport man. There's all day long you can find a sport to bet on and that's where it gets scary man And that's where it's all being fun Uh the only Asian you picked the worst time the worst time to stop gambling because week one NFL He just starts this week baby and I got some pictures you guys want them
Hey, Jay Hi, hi, right now we're having a special I do like his advice instead of going cold turkey because that might just get you to relapse and you might get more depressed all over again See what you can be like out on the front Sundays or just Like that kind of a grace it seems like it might be helpful little by little smaller best It's not just guys better gamblers because I feel like what man problem can't get you know no let's talk to noemi in el monte noemi noemi Noemi Good morning No talk to us who in your life is the gambler Uh, well in my life it's my mom What does she gamble? Oh And so with that it's actually been a couple years that she had that problem, but My mom has a hat that have gambling the rant oh not the rant
Lawyer radio me hello your radio oh Oh, sorry, so yeah, she has a habit of gambling the rant it was actually A point where my mom had actually ordered a six months in red Which which cool to landlord because I would never yeah, like we should have been kicked out Yeah, like you get literally like it was like it should have been took like at least a month you know like even at that It would have taken a month two weeks is a girl you're out of here So we ended up I didn't find out until I want to say maybe the Third month of they had a being paid because the landlord ended up reaching out to me And he was like hey, he's like I just you know wanted to know like when you guys are gonna make the payment I'm like Brody what are you talking about like yeah, like what's going on? I was literally busing the concrete I was like but what's going on like what are you really talking about like you know we just need a rate And he said he was like no he's like your mom hasn't been paying the rent and so I you know my mom at that time She was wanting to send me to my brother that passed away. She had to come to cancer. I'm sorry I mean she's still here, you know we're looking at the bright side and she uh
Well the negative side she lost her dog that that kind of just sent her down So when she lost the dog it kind of uh She the dog died from cancer Oh, I thought she hold on your brother passed away your mom got cancer. Yeah, my then your mom's dog all cancer and passed away Yeah I'll talk about going through it. I'll get right to yeah So we kind of understood why she was doing it But at the end like it kind of ended up backing up on us because the the apartment that she was in was in my brother's name So he didn't end up getting he didn't end up getting the eviction my mom's ended up having to move it now So after that like it was still a problem But she ended up kind of like you could say like Loring down a little bit where it was like hey grow relaxed. So hit January of this year She got a big settlement from An accident that she had went through at a job. So she got a good 65k nice. Oh, okay And let me ask you this what was your mom betting on? Um, so she doesn't bet she gambles gambles. She knows
She does like yeah the online casinos and all that like for she I never thought it was real, but I yeah, so sometimes she would hit so she would hit us like oh I think I'm gonna see for me and we're like oh how much is this? Like oh, I will look yet. They should like but oh, yeah, we're like dog. You just lost that on $1,000, but all right all right Oh, okay, got it So she got a settlement from work. So she's up. Yeah, did she use that money? Yeah, exactly Oh, she blew the 65 She got me. Yeah But right now she's even at the point. I'll be very honest. You that I pay the rent last month Man, I wish my boy. I would call you have a great story Oh, man. Yeah, getting a big settlement and all down the drain and then all down the game Do you think she is something you guys could take away her phone or do an intervention on her? So that was actually One of the conversations I was brought up because at the time where we were on the same phone We're on the same phone line like on the same plan and it was more of getting to the point where it should be like
Oh, you can look up for that is the left for no middle part system is or always Superpowered must try to have a handle and it was just like well, I will look at my dad or is like a big guy are you working for free? Turning Yeah, because I was like what I'm not like I was like I'm confused like my dad's busing hours and overtime like yeah He would come out early sometimes, but I was just like what's going on? The same thing you know saying yeah, and so she actually came up and she told us like you know what she's like I've been gambling the money like there's there's I she's like I don't know what's going on So like it was to the point where it's like I like we some of us started like staying with her Where it's like moving in or moving out, you know Just make sure she was okay and like mentally like it's okay like you know don't go where your money girl Like let's go out and say let's go spend money to kids. Mm-hmm. Oh, okay. Yeah, and and mind you she has 11 grandkids But something hasn't happened because you paid her rent last month you said Yeah, exactly so now we're at that now she's at that point where she's like
But we told her we're like girl you gotta get a job. Yeah Yeah, I'm gonna put that in I hit her with the grotto tell you to bring into this That's good No, I mean I wish you guys the best and and I know that sucks because you you seem like you're doing a very great job at like Pink positive. I bet you're something to win someone is gonna win Don't bet me don't bet me stop it stop it. That's not it Hey Studios was nine plus ten Look at this studio What is picking back in offer? Well, let me just say I know it was an unfortunate event nine eleven
I was just around 15 years old and I remember that day vividly like if it just happened yesterday I remember that waking me up and saying you're not going to school turn on the TV And what I remember seeing was exactly what everybody else saw that day was the planes hitting the buildings Apparently that's not what happened Apparently I never saw those planes and I don't know if this is the Mandela effect or what's going on But a new research surveyed five hundred and sixty nine college students from New York, Cali, and Hawaii And we're questioned about seven weeks after nine eleven, all right They were asked about the first plane hitting the World Trade Center a whopping 73% said that remember seeing the video of it on September 11th But there was a problem peritos the footage of the first plane wasn't broadcasted Until the next day So they couldn't have watched it in TV. I couldn't have watched on TV When the first attack happened They weren't actually lying that they said the brains have baked basically mistaken the footage
They saw later and mixed it into the memory of 911 here's the wildest part the people with the wrong memory were actually more confident about what they remember Than the people that got it right that's crazy because I remember seeing those planes me too that morning hit yeah that Like well, I think we saw the second plane. I remember that was that Yes, and but are the way our brains work and that's why it sucks like you can't really trust your memory on things Because even in the study said the people that were the most adamant like no, we saw the first plane like your trip in Yeah, it wasn't even available to the public to see the first plane It's your brain just kind of jumbles in everything and maybe it's in the way it processes I thought I'd be saying a bunch of replays and a bunch of replays That was the thing is that they would play it over and over like oh no hit and then it would just like Be like on a loop unless I'm missing the first time you saw the plane hit But it wasn't the first plane that hit yeah, cuz I I remember going into class and our teacher had the TV on and one tower was smoking Yes, the other tower got hit
So then I then of course that was the first plane that I didn't see because it yeah the tower smoking yep You feel me? Yeah, what is crazy? How just like our brain warps our brain works in mysterious ways Honestly, we stop and figured it out whether it be trauma whether it be major offense Yeah, or whether it be will your wife just said five minutes ago You're like what would you say It's your brain is trippy. Yeah, I literally remember like that day like if it was yesterday like I remember my dad Not even going to work. I was like What's going on? Oh no, he was like yeah, yeah, you're not going to school And then immediately like my dad was like well, they called and they're like hey schools canceled. Yeah School's completely canceled. I don't remember going to school like I remember I was 10 I believe and then I remember being home with my abuelita And we would just kept watching the news over and over and so I'm like Why are we watching the same movie like I really thought I was a movie because of my there's no way this is happening right now No, I I think I would have school either my parents were like heck no, yeah, I was cool. Yeah, I was you were I was think about like six or seven
But I remember going I remember going home Fight the feeling to save Like because we were all confused of what's going on? We're gonna kid and probably your school was shorter if you were six Seven because you're a younger Like the shorter You're going early and you got a one Everybody leaving like and then I lived around the block from my my school So they were like oh your parents still have to get you I remember going into the classes and they showed me and then I went to ceramics class and I made a Vase that's crazy. I just don't want to school. Yeah, no they call it like no schools castles schools And I would understand why they can or maybe I'm maybe my brain Can he? Yeah, maybe it was the next day school that I remember maybe um, but I forgot it. I haven't really like people like it was like enlist now into the military like there Well, yeah, I Because you didn't know what was gonna have yeah, I know where it was coming from what was happening and like the the audio
I played earlier of chronelisa rice and president George w bush They had to ground every playing yeah one by one like even that was something Everything shut down my mom actually worked at a trade center here in Santa Monica And she spoke and communicated with people from the world trade center every single day That's part of her job with like stocks and stuff like that And um, she had to turn around from work like she was on her way and they were like dude Don't know what to target at that and her whole building was evacuated as well Yeah, I thought it's in prayers about the people who lost family members or friends out there Hey stay studious and never forget but yeah, and let us know what you remember because apparently we're all wrong According to science Man, I had to learn this the hard way.
