#13 - Single Parenting, Speech Delays, and Borderline Personality Disorder (Anonymom series)

This episode features Amy, a single parent of two boys.  She goes in depth about her experience having to be on bedrest while pregnant, then working 4 jobs, turning to alcohol to cope, and her struggles with medical issues like hyperemesis and having a hysterectomy.  She also goes into difficulties associated with her diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, how dialectical behavioral therapy strategies helped her become a happier and healthier mom, and how she helps her own child cope with his depression and anxiety symptoms.  Her advice will remind you of the importance of doing hard and difficult things so you can build resilience and realize how strong you truly are.
