Get ready for your 2026 fantasy football draft with a deep dive into the wide receiver rankings. Chris Welsh is joined by Pat Fitzmaurice and Pat Daugherty from Rotoworld to break down the biggest values, potential busts, breakout candidates, and sleepers at WR.
Is Rashee Rice being drafted too aggressively with the Kansas City Chiefs potentially shifting toward a more run-heavy offense? Is Malik Nabers actually undervalued after his ADP fell amid injury concerns? And can Davante Adams continue producing as a fantasy WR2, or are age, touchdown regression, and changes to the Rams offense pointing toward a decline?
Welsh, Fitzy, and Pat work through the FantasyPros Expert Consensus Rankings and identify the wide receivers they believe fantasy managers should be moving up, and down, their 2026 draft boards!

This is an I Heart Podcast. Guaranteed Human Let's find your rich Edward Jones Remember SIPC
I'm not a joke for shows Not really sure how that happened But best for last is what I would say we've done here Thank you so much for the yeah but as I was like getting set and prepping I saw you live on and and it's great to have you And we're going to be talking about wide receiver ranks So we move from the RV so the same thing applies here for this episode Wide receiver questions in the chat We will save some time at the end so we can answer some of your wide receiver based questions Whatever those might look like We're going to take a look at the big board And we're going to be talking about wide receiver ranks We're going to take a look at the big board And Pat has picked out some specific names Unfortunately I can't say Pat here because we got too much We got too much Pat So we got Rodo Pat There's too many so I'm going to have to be a little bit more specific But Fitsy you're going to have to just take on Fitsy And then Patrick is going to take Pat or Patrick So I'll use both of those But Patrick you will be reacting to some of the ones that we picked here So let's look at the big board We are using ECR Fantasy Pros For consensus ranks for the top 12 wide receivers This is half PPR
You guys can go and check it out yourself And the big board looks as such Jamar Chase coming in at one Pukinakua at two Jackson Smith and Jigbert three Amon our St. Brown CD Lam that's your top five Justin Jefferson at six Drake London AJ Brown Niko Collins George Pickens, Chris Olave and Rishi Rice That is the top 12 So looking at the wide receiver ones Just like we did in the RV episode Fitsy Wide receiver Is too high Which wide receiver do you not like at cost right now Just like we did with RVs who you're going to single out First of all just want to say great to have my buddy Pat here with us Especially since you know Rotoworld's got him working 80 hour weeks this time of year He's got a house full of little kids who are probably breaking things as I speak right now So very nice of him to make time for us For me it's Rishi Rice And I keep thinking of that quote about how the definition of his insanity is Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results And I'm not talking about Rishi Rice Getting in the serious legal trouble by causing a multi car crash
And fleeing the scene then getting thrown in a jail for violating his probation By smoking pot right after having clean up surgery on his knee No, I'm actually talking about the chief's offense And the insanity of continuing with the same Offensive MO when your offense has been no better than average for the last three years Which by the way coincides with the arrival of Rishi Rice In Kansas City Yes, yeah, my homes averaged 8.1 yards per pass attempt his first five seasons And was just shy of averaging 4800 passing yards a year over that stretch Last three years, 7.0 yards per pass attempt And averaged about a thousand fewer passing yards per year First five seasons as a starter of the chief's rank first, second, third, fifth, and first in yards per play The last three years, 9.21st and 25th Not a favorable trend To the credit of chief's GM Brett Vitch The man who once by pass Jonathan Taylor to draft Clyde Edwards-Eller He recognized the need for some sort of offensive shake up and gave a lot of money to Kenneth Walker
So I just I think it's reasonable to believe that the chiefs are going to run the ball at a higher rate this year They were the sixth pass heaviest team in the league Last year I also think it's reasonable to believe Kenneth Walker is going to play a role in the chief's screen game We've already gotten reports indicating as much And if Walker and the chiefs are running back star more involved in the screen game Probably means fewer screens to rice And we know that Andy Reed has dialed up a ton of screens to Rishi Rice So maybe if Walker runs the ball effectively the chief's opponents Are going to force to come out of those two high safety looks they've been using against the chiefs so much Maybe that means more deep shots to Xavier Worthy, Cyrus Allen, Ty Quam Thornton I just think there's a good chance rice is used a little less this season in which case It might be hard for him to pay off on his current cost Pat, you seem to you were kind of shaking your head looks like there's an agreement here So I mean this might be easy but is Rishi Rice ranked too high in expert consensus ranks
It's first time a big podcast nodder I like to really nod and agree We were bobble heading in the show We're listening to JJ and we're just like yep That's very understandable And first up not to derail us, I've somehow been in Pat's van twice But I've never been on his podcast this was so long overdue And that you made it out congratulations I did, thank you so much for having me But I was nodding a lot because you really were just preaching to the choir pat Where Rishi Rice too, even if you ignored all the negatives So many of the positives with Rishi Rice have happened in such small sample sizes And he's a small sample size superstar Where I feel like going on what age 26 I believe We still just don't even entirely know what kind of player he is Then yet almost comical red flags Like typically I would prefer for my wider see for one Do not have spent part of the offseason rehabbing and literal jail Like it's just not something that I would typically invest in I think the most important thing you said though
Was about the investment in Kenneth Walker The investment in the running game where the chiefs knew something had to give on offense They had to invest in something It's unfortunately as they've learned the hard way over and over again It's really difficult to augment your receiver core When you have all these like really highly paid linchpin players Like the chiefs have especially obviously including Pat from a homes And they knew they had to shake up something I think they decided it was too difficult to overhaul the receiver core yet again They get in relative terms compared to wider receiver A bargain with Kenneth Walker III I think they further signal their intentions when they go back and reunite with Eric the enemy As a respected offensive mind was really respected the run game mind I just feel like there's a lot of smoke there As Pat from a homes comes back from the torn ACL That's just going to be a more run heavy system than we're used to seeing This is an inexcusably bad chiefs running game really over the past two or three years I just think all of it's kind of conspiring to put a pretty hard lid on Rishi Rice I don't think Rishi Rice would be like a ruinous pick as your wider receiver 12 or 13
Because the floor is probably still a thousand yards It's probably still at least 80 receptions I don't think he's going to kill your team I just don't really think the upside is there with Rishi Rice And I think a lot of people kind of tantalize themselves to the question Like if we ever get 17 games out of Rishi Rice Look out I just think it's going to leave people wanting when that actually finally does happen He's very polarizing if you go and look at our real time ADP Again, we've talked a lot about that but probably one of the more valuable just like get it to know Tools that's happening as of recent the recency tool He is wider see for 16 so he's going off as a 16th wide receiver and half PPR According to real time ADP But you go to projections He's wide receiver number eight in fantasy pros Projections where he is projected 97.9 receptions almost 1100 yards and just under 10 touchdowns So the polarizing spot of this is you've got ECR You've got ADP you've got projections what side do you sit on?
Well, the path's kind of agree that this is a little bit of a concern here So maybe you guys should as well Let's go to wide receiver 2s We're going to go with this next group here We're going to look at 13 through 24 The list of the players is going to be a little bit more The list Malik neighbors comes in at 13 Devonta Smith at 14 Z-Flowers Teteroro Mcmillan T Higgins Ladmackonky a mecha book at 19 Jalen Waddle at 20 Garrett Wilson Terry McClure and Devonta Adams and Luther Burton This is going to be a positive and a negative so Mr. Pat Fitzmorris your positive in that you think this guy should be ranked higher And your negative that this guy is ranked too high at the wide receiver spot in this tier are hoot I sort of fill a buster on Rishi Rice so I'll keep these short So Malik neighbors positively like it's easy to understand why neighbors is listed as a tier 2 guy We have to bake in the injury risk but a healthy Malik neighbors is probably right up there with Jackson Smith and Jigba I'm an arosat brown Justin Jefferson CD Lamb and I think he'd be ahead of Drake London and AJ Brown
So if neighbors is healthy and the reports have been pretty positive lately Maybe he's underpriced and then negative Devonta Adams who look I'm a I'm a packer fan Devonta Adams is awesome. It wouldn't be shocking if he were awesome again this season He's 33 though turns 34b and before the end of this season and a big percentage of his 2025 production came on touchdowns Like I realized that Adams is one of the best red zone receivers of this era Like I used to joke that the Packers go line back with Devonta Adams But last year's touchdown rate was crazy even by his standards Led the league with 14 TD catches scored a touchdown on 23.3% of his catches and 12.3% of his targets 4.3 catches and 56.4 receiving yards of game though his lowest totals in those two categories Since his second year in the league Matthew Stafford average 35 passes a game last season
Probably isn't going to need to throw as much this year now that the Rams have miles Garrett and all this additional defensive talents I just see more upside More downside than upside for Devonta. So it's here. So Pat do you think that Devonta Adams is too high in Malik neighbors is too low And then you're welcome if there is another player that you think maybe qualifies And one of those that you really feel strong about please do but Adams too high neighbors to know too low by or sell Not to come on and just be a parent but just agreeing with everything Pat says and Malik neighbors the injury The way his injury news was sequenced I think really affected the ADP The news of the second surgery got reported kind of late and you never want to hear a guy undergoing a second operation After a torn ACL but it's also not that uncommon Like it's just a cleanup procedure after a major procedure It's not like it's standard but it's also not abnormal. This isn't as big of a red flags I think people thought it was and if they've been reported earlier in the offseason or occurred earlier in the offseason
I don't know if it would have created this kind of panic that we had in June and July with Malik neighbors is ADP Because the reality is he went down last week four Even by like 10 or 15 years ago NFL standards going down a week four Being back the following week one would not be unusual. It's really not unusual in 2026 Everything just kind of suggests they're trying to dot their eyes and cross their teeth with this rehab And ever since this cleanup procedure things have been proceeding on schedule And he's just everything you could look for in a wider receiver fantasy profile where he's the target dominator He's a compiler but he also has the big play potential He's very little target competition which is sometimes a negative when the defense can focus all their attention on you But I think he's good enough he will rise above that. I love the Malik neighbors ADP I was taking him even when it was still unclear which was very risky I will admit I think neighbors is too low and Devon to Adams just it's the wrong position to be touchdown reliant at
You don't want to be touchdown reliant at wider receiver It's of course great if you're a receiver and you score a million touchdowns But you got to do more and to Pat's point you know under 60 yards per game last year he's 33 years old The hamstrings aren't getting any younger the Rams defense is going to be so much better Blake Korum's another ear matured into the system I think staffers attempts are going to come way down. I definitely think the staffer's passing touchdowns are going to come way down And that this wider receiver two is probably just a little too rich for Devon to add and even if it's a low end wider receiver two Real-time ADP neighbors is and this is again, we're talking ECR how the experts have them ranked by people at ADP real-time ADP has neighbors at 11 so that's moved up And to add them to 25 so the ADP and especially in the real side is kind of speaking to a lot of this We're going to be doing wide receiver threes and a deeper play here in a minute but Fantasy Fest 2026 is sponsored by League Base League Base is a private clubhouse for your fantasy league as we talked about before you can connect your sleeper Yahu ESPN League and everything that makes your league yours the trades records rivalries running jokes league history

Notifications of people telling me Christian Watson was gonna be injured by week three And maybe that might happen but he's a credit to the hate Yeah Watson did come back from an ACL terror last year and managed to get in 10 regular season games without re-entry Actually did get banged up in the Broncos game in mid-December But like even went to the hospital because there was some shoulder thing that seemed like it was really serious Want to playing the next week but in his 10 regular season games last year Watson average 17 and a half yards A catch 11.1 yards per target 2.28 yards per route run produced at a thousand yard 10 touch down pace I think they're gonna be increased target opportunities now with Romeo dobs and done TV and Wixcon and just a tighter wide receiver rotation for the Packers Watson is 64 and as 436 speed and it shows up on the field like this guy can fly
Winds contested catches Packers have been run heavy the last two years they've been 31st and 22nd in pass rate over expected What if Green Bay has to throw more this season with no Mike Parsons for the first half of the year And what if the targets are more concentrated among fewer pass catchers So I just I think he has the potential to be special I think this cost even sort of bakes in the assumption that he's gonna miss a few games But with the season of good health I absolutely think he could be a wide receiver one So Pat do you agree that this in this tier 25 to 36 that Christian Watson is the guy that can make the biggest jump or do you have another player that you would also want to hit So you're welcome regardless to talk on Christian Watson but if you have someone that you like a lot more please feel free to hit on that player I do have another player unfortunately division rival for Pat but I agree with the Watson bullishness because the cases for the first half of the year And then the Watson bullishness because the case is pretty straightforward we've never seen him stay healthy At some point he's gonna appear in every game in NFL season and if he does that he's kind of like a souped up alieck pier so most
Or I can really see him at least crashing the top 24 maybe not the top 12 but the big play ability The condensed target tree like Pat said which was the total focus of the Packers off season was making their offense simpler Including just who's gonna get the ball talking about finishing better which I think is translated to not being so conservative Passing more just upping their pass attempts a little bit maybe more down the field stuff for a guy that Christian Watson So I definitely see the vision of the Christian Watson I would say from my choice I'm gonna go Jamison Williams Who I think a lot of times now in fantasy as a player is talked about more for the things he hasn't done than things he has done Like we haven't seen him take the final step and I suppose to be so explosive but he's just kind of been a thousand yard guy We haven't gotten like the true massive breakout that we think is possible but I think he doesn't get enough credit for his flories Officially a thousand yard guy he's done it back to back seasons he scores touchdowns at a fairly high rate
For being someone who's not like a massive target commander not a ppr style player Dan Campbell loves him it seemed like Dan Campbell took over play calling duties last year solely because he thought they weren't getting J-mo the ball enough Drew pet sings there now. I know he supposedly runs the offense to the extra see for position They're not gonna not run their offense through monro say brown but this to guy who's still young A guy who has made progress over here. I love the floor. I still believe in the ceiling potential for Jamison Williams And if he gets even just you know if he does everything he did last year and has just one or two more blow up games You've got a pretty solid wide receiver two then and I've loved getting him as my wide receiver three because I just really think he can finish this the top 24 guy at wide out All right, so the final in this group that we're gonna talk about is we're gonna look outside the top 36 Fitsy I want you to give me a wide receiver outside the top 36 that you think can not just beat their ECR I mean, I want to say destroy it, but I don't know what level you're at but someone that is going to beat their ECR outside the top 36
Who do you have for us? Yeah, just real quick. I want to say I agree with Pat on J-mo I've actually got J-mo ranked ahead of Christian Watson, but when he said division rival I thought he was coming off the top rope with your university in Missouri guy Pat I thought you were bringing a Luther burden. I thought it was going to the Bears too. That's what I thought I love to be three but I His his game lends itself to injury. I'm not saying he's injury prone. I'm saying the way he plays he takes a lot of hits. I hear you I hear you So yeah outside the top 36 Macai lemon and The the Eagles traded up to draft him in the first round the Eagles no longer of AJ Brown the Eagles no longer of Kevin Pettillo More importantly is their offensive coordinator I'm not sure why there is a more excitement about the potential upside for lemon when you know he was the best college receiver last year He won the bulletnikoff award average better than three yards per run against both man and zone Runs good routes as crazy good hands very dangerous after the catch I think this hamstring injury has been dealing with this created in a nice buying opportunity and he's good to go now
He's back at practice. He's ready for week one. So it's going to be a slow roll up You don't need to start Macai lemon the first couple of weeks of the season because he is being drafted outside the top 36 of the position Pat are you a Macai lemon guide you agree that this is someone that's going to break their ECR I love Macai lemon as a prospect. He's probably my favorite receiver prospect. I really like Tim and Casey conception I think the reason for the skepticism is just is this Eagles offense just kind of at an end is the Jalen Hertz era kind of petering out It's quite possible that it's not and everyone's going to be a bargain in this offense especially with the new OC on his pat points out I just think people are waiting to buy back in on the Eagles because they're wondering if this thing's thus further to fall This guy where I think the Eagles skepticism comes from but I love Macai lemon would not be surprised at all if he finishes in the top 30 maybe even the top 24 My guy outside the top 36 I must say and I do not take any pleasure in it really because I don't know how good of a player
He really is I just know that in fantasy his game tends to translate to spam PPR points one Dale Robinson who why does he for 13 by total PPR points last year? I know total is kind of misleading we do per game but he was 16 or 17 by per game just stunning staggering stuff Making way more money than I feel like people are giving him credit for it was realized With how broken that Titans offense was and they're trying to build it back up he has his old offensive coordinators old play collar Brian Dable now in Tennessee And I just would not be surprised to see one Dale just get absolutely spammed with targets finishing the top 30 again And everyone's coming up yeah probably in that comment that was pretty obvious in hindsight And that's just what he does we don't know how valuable it really is in real life But we know it's valuable in fantasy and I have a dangerous amount of one day or other which isn't great Typically you want to be really invested in the player because you think they're awesome
I don't necessarily think one day was awesome but I think what he does for fantasy is awesome It does feel dirty but those seven for 53 weeks add on They do they really really really they do warm my heart They I'm a big one guy 100 percent we're gonna answer some of your guys questions But let's talk about some giveaways we're giving away a free one year fantasy pros premium subscription to one lucky viewer During today's stream you can get a full year of our premium fantasy tools to help you draft manage your team and dominate your league to enter subscribe to the fantasy pros YouTube channel So if you're watching you haven't done it click subscribe and then just drop a comment that's all you have to do and you're you're entered in we're gonna be announcing a winner Little bit towards the end of the fantasy fest so make sure you stick around and keep those comments coming because we want to give you some cool stuff Let's talk to some of the cool people here and let's talk about some wide receiver questions Where does Teteroma Mcmillan finish this year Pat? Myself well Ted Teterowa love him as a player a guy after that rookie season would normally be steamed so high
I just wouldn't be surprised with the state of the overall state of the Panthers offense Bryce Young I know he's made incremental improvement the past two years It kind of feel like he's maxed out and we're just gonna get a Disappointing repeat of Teteroma Millens rookie season which was of course anything but disappointing I just think the leap for Teterowa is probably gonna come next year maybe the after maybe it's not like a Drake London path a little bit We're we know he's great. We know he's potentially special but that is offensive circumstances This kind of conspire against him for the first few years of his career and I'd say the 16 to 18 range feels right for Teteroma Maybe a spot or two lower probably not a spot or two higher I think solid wide receiver two I think in a more perfect world it would be higher than that a better quarterback situation I think kind of smack dab in the middle of the wide receiver two ranks Fitsy any quick Teteroma that's where I have him wide receiver 17 But like I wouldn't be totally shocked if he gave us a wide receiver one season because he came out as an early declare prospect
Has a thousand yard season with a quarterback who averaged 6.4 yards per attempt Like if there's any like even incremental improvement by Bryce Young We probably hit the end of the road as far as that goes Yeah, like I wouldn't shock me if he had been 1300 yards Let's go to Shane here Godwin or digs which one do you like and which one is worth reaching in the seventh I gave us some parameters two flex two wide receiver this is full PPR Fitsy I got to go digs I just you know two seasons ago we saw Chris Godwin's foot turn Backwards basically I just I don't know if he's ever going to be the same guy was pre-endurer Mayfield did say he's the best Godwin he's seen as a recent but you know a lot of lip service out there But JJ obviously talked about digs being a top 24 guy early in the show So Pat what do you think Godwin or digs? I'm not really drafting either digs was so efficient last year but I think was doing parks they rationed the snaps The bucks to seem to love Godwin so much I think he's gonna be out there probably every play
I don't know the same for digs he should be I just don't know that for sure if they might try to copy the way the paths deployed him I think I'll lean ever so slightly to Godwin This is from Gil, let's say earliest round you would take Alec Pierce Pat Wow By the way I wish I never clarified the Pat Fitsy thing so I could have just hit Pat And you guys could have just like battled for it I'm glad because I wanted to hear Dordy answer this one before I would Yeah Dordy's got it Well it says 80p 8 or 9th round Yeah I'm not I think I'm waiting for a huge discount on Alec Pierce so I guess when if he gets the double digits I mean I get hung up on dumb things sometimes Four years in the NFL and he's still never caught 50 passes I just don't know of his games ever gonna really change And this kind of volatile game that he has it's super valuable in real life I wish there were more true field stretchers in the NFL like we saw when Pat and I were growing up But I just kind of feel like he's due to run cold and missing training camp he's behind you know
Dando Jones is supposedly healthy and fine I would wait for a discount on Alec Pierce so I guess I'm waiting to the double digits rounds Fitsy same thing like as he taught me wider saber I'm with Pat I want double digit rounds But like I thought the same thing when they gave him the bag I figured he'd run a more complete row tree But then you realize like what he does is actually really valuable as far as just like Taking the top off the defense and that's kind of what they paid him to do So I think it's just gonna be more of the same with maybe less efficiency All right, let's do two more quick ones Pat how far up the rankings are you moving K-Shine booty? Not particularly or you pat me yeah no no No no you guys did it I didn't even try to do it you did the thing Oh yeah Fitsy you go you go it's finally a problem I was gonna give the same answers Pat like I thought it was kind of just a net neutral Probably bigger role for a team that's gonna throw less and has a worse quarterback What I'll say on booty is I think when he was on New England He was probably gonna go on drafted in most 12 team leagues maybe 16 round leagues
Now where he's the clear number two a team at a really acute need for him I think he's at least in the mix for a late round flyer like before you get into the kicker defense territory 13th 14th round or whatever I think you can justify taking a flyer on K-Shine booty Okay, final one here. Are we getting nervous about a mecca at this point for the start of the season a lot of that Dirty we were not in the relationship together So why don't I end it since we spent a good 30 minutes together Dirty you get to pick are you nervous about a mecca? I think the bokeh thing was poor sequencing of kind of a thinly veiled coach smoke screen Where he basically said I'm good to go week one and then Todd bowls was like we don't know if he's I feel like a mecca Boca kind of let the cat out of the bag And then Todd bowls maybe kind of wished he didn't let the cat out of the bag and wanted to like restore this air of mystery to it Famous last words injury optimism can be a very dangerous thing Scott Pianaski talks about that all the time I think a bokeh will be out there for week one though Fitsy I lean that way too
I have like dropped in a couple of spots just there are a lot of receivers. I like in that range to Vante Smith Jalen Waddle I think I've dropped him below a couple of guys in that range, but I think I'll play too Why receiver ranks in the books Paddy thank you so much for joining us 50 it's been great guys that is it for me But here's a couple things I don't want you to go anywhere because Absolute banger is about to come up no name issues here all different names and they're all amazing But I do have to publicly say I'm not going to be available here and I feel bad earlier in the show not only did I kick off Seth Wolcock I also called him Timo J.J. Zachary just a recent I feel bad about all that he is a switch switch army knife So if anything happens in the show we officially can now break in case of emergency It is not Timo J.J. J. Zachary said it is Seth Wolcock breaking case of emergency Anything happens later in the show Seth is going to be here for you And he will be around for the after party so make sure you do it
But I am out of here you know Seth has got your back and trust me the next couple you're going to absolutely love So do not go anywhere because fantasy fest rolls on it's warm it's Erickson and an absolute awesome guest I wish I was here for it, but I got to go thank you guys so much Let's do some more fantasy fest after this Thanks for listening to the fantasy pros fantasy football podcast If you love the show the best free way to support us is by leaving a positive review on Apple podcasts at fantasyproze.com slash review or on Spotify Follow us on x, instagram and tiktok at fantasy pros and subscribe to our youtube channel at youtube.com slash fantasy pros To honor our country on its 250th birthday
