The fan you're listening to ESPN radio from the Santa Quinn Ford Studio of 103.9 and 983 ESPN. The fan. They weren't supposed to be here. Held is the underdogs of sports radio in the state of Utah. Nothing is secret when these two get together from college to the pros. Bryce Larson and Jordan BN Newtchie cover it all. Buy it from the Broadway media building in downtown Salt Lake City. You're on the crazy train with Bryce at BN Newtchie in the morning on 103.9 and 983. The fan. Part of Utah's ESPN radio network. Away we go. It's a football Friday of Bryce at BN Newtchie on 103.9 and 983 ESPN. The fan. A lot of football to talk about. Right here on the program. Big time, big 12 games throughout the weekend.
An opportunity not only for BYU to get ahead in the big 12 race. Get past one of the better teams in the big 12 conference. But also an opportunity for the rest of the big 12 with big time matchups. A lot of SEC big 12 matchups this weekend. How will the big 12 fare right here in Salt Lake City with Utah in Arkansas? Kansas and Missouri later on tonight. That's gotten a little bit more chippy. I don't know if you saw the video Kansas dropped. We'll talk about that coming up in just a little bit. Arizona heading to excuse me Arizona State heading to Texas A&M. As well this weekend. So a ton in terms of the opportunity that the big 12 has against the SEC this weekend. The National Football League is back underway. We'll get into that coming up here in just a couple of minutes. Along with the top storylines and your top headlines in the NFL Blitz at about 7.45. Our friend Jake Deetz stops by at 8.20 this morning to talk a little movie talk for the weekend.
And then Ron the three men weaver joins us in studio about 9 o'clock this morning to talk about BYU and Arizona. The biggest of the big 12 as well that is our lineup for this morning. Let's jump into our top headline which happens to come out of the NFL. It's time for the first pitch on Bryce and BYU new chief. Just a bit outside today's biggest story hitting lead off on Utah's ESPN radio network. Low and far as what the base is loaded on 12 straight pitches. You're killing me small. It is time for the first pitch that's right here on Bryce and BYU new chief. Your top headline hitting lead off this morning. It's always brought to you by your company here. Jordan B new chief your company here as I was sitting there last night. Debating whether or not I should sign up for Netflix of all things.
Your company here came in and sat down next to me. They consulted me on the decision. They said listen you could get the $9 a month one you're going to get ads. But you can still watch all of the live events. You don't have to spend $23 a month on Netflix these days. Just go with the ads version of Netflix which by the way if there's ads I probably shouldn't be paying for it in the first place. Just heads up. But you know $9 a month to watch that beat down last night. I don't know if it was worth it. How many other sporting events are going to be on Netflix throughout the rest of this year. Like Christmas day. Four more NFL games I believe. I'd have paid $35 to watch that beat down last night. Yeah you would have. You enjoyed every single minute of that one. I prefer a better game where Matthew Stafford could have actually thrown the football. Left and right Matthew Stafford was air malignant. He had puking a koo down the sideline and eat through it 15 yards past him.
I've never seen anything like it. I was wondering what could have possibly thrown Matthew Stafford off his game last night. That's what I asked your company here. Sure. And they said well we strongly advise against traveling within 24 hours of your biggest event that week. They said that it takes some time to get acclimated and different things like that. So we would advise and what we do with our business partners. We send them a week in advance so that that big meeting that big convention that they're ready to go for. Well they've got some time to acclimate to be able to see Australia to be able to see different things. That's what your company here told me that professionals their experts. So if you want your company to be the sponsor of this specific segment here. You can hit up our friend Chad Saunders Chad dot Saunders at B way media dot com. How about that inside Jordan? That is good insight. So you're saying the red eye that the Rams took in arriving 15 minutes before kickoff. Maybe not the greatest plan.
I think part of that when yeah part of it went into that. I'm not 100% sure as to why Matthew Stafford looked so off last night. But give the 49ers their dues because Rahim Morris although be it he's not a phenomenal head coach. We saw that. We saw that a lot. I mean, hell he didn't even hire a quarterback coach for for Michael Pennick's junior like Michael Pennick's junior was using his high school football coach. The defensive guy. So I mean he's not the greatest head coach. But give him credit or credits do that man is very much a defensive guy and you saw that on display last night. It's impressive. I mean the Rams. I don't know if the travel had anything to do with it because the Niners mostly. From the second quarter on just out played them and you're right like I don't think it's a. A physical. Hey, I'm I'm I'm sluggish thing that Stafford's thrown an interception. The Niners just yeah they played well they looked really good the Rams did not look great.
I mean it says it's Pukin, Akua not running a route to the getting deeper to the end zone on a third and goal. And then getting stuffed on a quarterbacks and he come fourth and goal. Yeah. I was surprised I did not think I thought the Niners could win the game. I didn't think they would though. And I did not expect them to dominate the game like that. One of the funniest tweets that I saw last night had to do with Kyle Shanahan. And specifically talking about how Kyle Shanahan hasn't had certain elite wide receivers. Like a man named Mike Evans. And I kind of laughed at that because people have very short memories with Mr. Kyle Shanahan. Talking about if he had the roster that Sean McVeigh has year in and year out the 49ers would be just the most elite team in the world. Okay, that's fine. But the but to say that he never he's never had a wide receiver like Mike Evans is pretty crazy because Julio Jones was definitely on that Super Bowl roster.
When Kyle Shanahan went to the Super Bowl with the Atlanta Falcons. Yeah, as an offensive coordinator. Yeah. Yeah. But to say he's never had a wide receiver like Mike Evans. My friends. He's had a wide receiver better than Mike Evans. Yeah, never is a head coach. Not even. I don't even have not even close. The Niners haven't had anything like Mike Evans in a long, long time. That that catch in the end zone where he was able to just out physical that DB. That was impressive. It was impressive how Brock Purti was able to spread out all of the different catches. Yeah, I mean, the targets that he threw to so many different guys, especially on the first drive. I thought I was just going to say it was amazing on the first drive. He's hitting Debo. He hits Evans. He hits Kittle. He, you know, I mean, like everybody was touching the ball. It was. So are the Niners better than we thought they were or I mean, what's what do you take away from this? I think we always knew the 49ers were good.
The 49ers just were without Fred Warner, without Debo without like you go down the list. How they didn't even have Brock Purti last year. Like that you go down the list and they were so beat up that it was impressive. They won as many games as they did last year. The 49ers have always been great and they're going to be great this season. Like they are a legitimate Super Bowl contender in my opinion. Anybody can win the Super Bowl in the top third of the NFL? The 49ers are in the top third of the NFL. Well, it's interesting because I didn't really think they're a Super Bowl contender this year until I saw that last night. And I don't know if they still are because the defensive line is beat up. But what's surprising is after Wednesday and Thursday watching the best division in football, the Seahawks, the Rams and the Niners. The Niners have been the best team. If I looked by far the best, that surprises me. I did not have that one. It's going to be a tough season. Don't get me wrong. They got to stay away from that power substation.
My man probably already tore his Achilles across the middle. Which is unfortunate. Not even near the power substate. What does happen? Well, hey, he was practicing near it all off season. So he was working there. And I also heard that once they arrived to Australia, apparently their hotel was right next to a power substation. They just can't escape it. They wanted to make him feel at home. That's right. You can't escape it if you are the San Francisco 49ers. So if you could stay healthy, I'm telling you what, this 49ers team, they're always great. They're great in the trenches. They very well could win a lot of football games, find their way into the playoffs. And then once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen from there. It's amazing how Shanahan owns McVeigh in the regular season. Now McVeigh has the one win that really matters in the NFC championship game. But the Niners play, I don't understand. Like the Niners play so well against the Rams. I mean, it is remarkable how... The Niners are the bane of the Rams existence.
Because the Rams beat everybody else. And the Niners just play so well against them. I think it's because they can control the line of scrimmage against them. For whatever reason, the Niners defensive and offensive fronts give the Rams so many problems. You know what was startling, if you're a Rams fan, was coming out a half time. Niners get the ball. You feel like, okay, we'll get back into this game before LA. And the Niners, you mentioned the line of scrimmage dominate on that drive. Just gashing the Rams. Yeah. Six yards, seven yards, five yards on the ground. It was... that was unbelievable. That being said, Bryce, the Rams are the greatest team of all time. And I think they're still able to go undefeated. Greatest team ever. We've never seen a super team like this, Bryce. Hey, Aaron Donald wasn't out there. I got... Maybe after that performance, Aaron Donald will never be out there with the Rams. Well, okay, I got another... I got another bone to pick with the Rams.
Miles Garrett after the game, talking about how he's not healthy. Brother, unless before the game, that's all you were talking about. Hey, I'm not healthy. You've got your ass kicked. This is bringing in... this is what happens when you're with the Browns for 10 years. Shut up. Yeah, this is what happens when you're with the Browns for forever. And you can or a farm against AFC North Offensive Lines for six times a year. For the last 20 years. He's a great player, but don't... after you lose a game, don't tell us you're not... You're not healthy. We get it. You know, you have the knee thing. We know you're not healthy. But that's... I just... that always... that bothers me. After you lose, that's when you're... well, I wasn't healthy. This surprises you from the guy that almost pounded in Mason Rudolph's head with his own helmet. I thought he had grown from that experience.
27-7, the final score, if you turned it off at any point in the evening last night. Which, think about the Netflix broadcast itself? Honestly, I thought they... I thought it was good. I didn't notice a ton of... yeah. Did it bother you that Mr. Eagle kept saying Melbourne? No, because that's how they pronounce it in Australia. We'll be back here in Melbourne. No, that didn't bother me. Usually, Netflix with baseball, they drove me nuts this year. I did not like the baseball presentation. How about the lady before kickoff, where she was giving us the leaf? I liked that. You know what's hilarious? You bring that up. I was like, this is interesting. This may be the most interesting part of the entire pregame. I thought that was... but I'm watching that. Oh, it was strange. I was like, what's going on? What is this? It was a land acknowledged. Yeah, I think so. All right. Okay. Well, the land acknowledgments here... I've been places where they do land acknowledgments here. And you're just like, it's patronizing.
You're like, you're like, you're like, you know what? Because you know what? How it comes off? And I'm talking about in the US. How it comes off is white people going, hey, we just want to acknowledge that we murdered all your answers. And that this is your land. Yeah. We're not going to give it back. But we want to acknowledge that we did do that. Sure. And now it's ours. And now this lady on Netflix is trying to give me a branch. And that was wrong of us to do that. We want to make that clear. We're not really going to make it right. But it was wrong. It was wrong. So that's... I've always kind of rolled my eyes a little bit when people do that. Down there, I tell you what, man, you put an accent there. And you're just like, man, I like this. This is history. This is dignified. The only thing that's different. Yeah, it probably pretty much because... This lady just explained it to me what the hell this branch is that she's holding on. Well, because if you know Australian history, the atrocities they committed against the indigenous people... I mean, they got dropped off on boats.
And they were all prisoners to begin with. Were they not... most of them, yeah. Yeah, it was a prison colony for England, Australia. And then they would just indiscriminately murder... So, yeah, you get a bunch of criminals together on an island. Those unfortunate people that were there first, man, that's... Yeah. That's not great. It's an unfortunate situation. Yeah, I'll be honest with you. That was the most interesting part of the pregame. I mean, yeah, there wasn't a ton going on in the pregame otherwise. 100,000 people. That was incredible. Over 100,000 people in a cricket ground. How about that? That was... And you know what's amazing was... You forget how big a cricket ground is. Because the stands were so far away from the actual field. Yeah. Well, and, you know, in cricket, I don't know how much cricket you've been able to watch. But when I was in South Africa, I got to watch a little bit of cricket at times. And they used that entire field, right? Because it's essentially a big bowl that they play cricket in. You can hit the...
You can hit the cricket ball anywhere on the field. Everywhere is in place. So that's why it's so far away. But I bet some of those seats were just brutal. If you sat in the wrong portion to try and get a good angle on what you're going to see there. And plus the cameras at times it felt like the cameras were a little bit far away on the broadcast as well. Yeah. Because they are. I mean, yeah, that's true. I thought for the NFL, I don't like playing in other countries. It's just, especially Australia, it's too far away. It doesn't really make sense to me. That being said, for the NFL, I think it was a smashing success. Yeah. Just reading about this and how the fans were engaged and business-wise, you watch that. You realize why they do it. You're like, okay, I understand. I don't like it. But I... Yeah. Yeah. You get it. It's not great for us here in the United States because essentially our product is going to move overseas. And again, it's not good for the players, the travel. It doesn't make sense on any level except business-wise.
It looked like a huge success for the NFL. And according to Roger Cadill, it's only a matter of time before there's an international football team in the national football team. Which is absurd. Come on. And he's not talking about Canada. Come on. I'll tell you what. If there's one city in the rest of the world that's going to host the first Super Bowl, which city is it going to be? Which international city? Yeah. It's a good question. I probably... It's got to be London. London, yeah. Where else are you going to... Where else are you going to go? I don't know. Was that a... That was a 10-30 AM local kickoff in Australia? Yeah. Yeah. Imagine a Super Bowl. What time you'd have to kick that off to get the timing right? Over in London. That's the thing is you couldn't... Yeah. You'd have to kick it off at 8.30 in the morning. Because they kicked those things off at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, our time. Yeah. It was... I'd like to go to Australia. Yeah. It was fascinating to see in there like, oh yeah, it's springtime down here.
Yeah. Like what? What the hell's going on? Yeah. 55 degrees in springtime. It would throw me off inside Africa because in June, July, August, it's the winter. It's cold to sell. That's... Yeah. And then you like go into the schools and in school they're teaching that, you know, you see the kids. You know, you see the calendar up there and it's like the sun is next to March, April, May, or I guess January, February, March, whatever it would be, December, January, February. Those are the hottest times of the year. Yeah. In the Southern hemisphere. So they're spending Christmas December, the 25th of December on the beach. Yeah, that's pretty good. The hottest day of the year. And on the 4th of July, Bryce, it's the middle of winter. It is cold. Yeah. It is cold. But, you know, 4th of July. This is the Bryson Bienucci segment.
The Southern hemisphere blows Bryson Bienucci's mind. Try Guy Fox Day. What is Guy Fox Day? That's when they blow up all of their... It's literally an excuse just to shoot off fireworks. That's the only thing it is. Okay. So it's like pioneer days, essentially here. I guess so. But that is their excuse, at least in South Africa, to shoot off fireworks and burn tires, actually. That's the real one. They close off the roads because they're burning tires in the middle of the road. All right. That's... Yeah, we can do better than that. Well, maybe... I'll tell you what, brother. Tire... Tire burning. There's a lot going on. I think tire burning might be the least of their worries right now. So, I mean, would you play... If you're the NFL or... I don't know, not the NFL, but you... Did it change your mind about international games at all? Not really. I still don't love them. It's fine to put them at good times for us to watch them here, but...
I don't know. I don't know that it's really a necessary thing to do. It's money grabs. And the fans here don't like it. I'm sure Rams fans are mad this morning. They should even go to Australia and play that game in the first place. And I'm sure there's 49er fans that think the same thing. They're like, yeah, we just got out of there with the win, which is fine. Now it's behind us. Oh, yeah. But in the future, I can tell you in the future, the teams that are told you get you to go to Australia, they're going to be so mad. So angry, especially you should not be playing division games across the other side of the world. Yeah, it makes a huge division games. Like that makes no sense. And by the way, the Rams chose to do that. I don't think the NFL made them do it because... I don't know. I don't think they did it. It's like, hey, wink, wink, you don't have to do this. Or else you're going to meet Big Mike out in the back alleyway, you know what I'm saying? I don't know, because they made it sound like... Because when Shanahan talked about it, he made it sound like the Rams wanted to do it.
Or at least the NFL asked and they didn't put up any kind of fight. I bet going forward, they will. Yeah. I mean, it's... I don't know. I mean, I'm not that worried about the Rams, but if you look at their schedule going forward, it doesn't get any easier. No doubt about it. We'll continue to talk a little bit more about the NFL. As we get into the NFL, let's coming up at 7.45, you'll hear from Christian McCaffrey among others. A little bit more on Pukinakua and his current situation and status. One text message coming in on the conversation at 8.773530700 on the Sigfried and Jensen Textin line right here on Bryson B. Anucci. It's from Austin. He says, Miles Garrett and Aaron Donald had the same stat line, Jordan B. Anucci. Yes, they did. They... One never left the country. Yeah. They affected the game pretty much in the same way. Did that surprise you?
That surprised me. It surprised me a little bit, but I don't know how active Miles Garrett was throughout training camp, because a lot of times they give these veterans the excuse of, hey, you don't have to show up until either the last week or the last couple days of training camp, and they're never ready to go by week one, which is ridiculous. Well, and he had the knee. I mean, I think that was a huge part of it. It's just the knee was bothering him. And I mentioned he said after the game, he's like, I was thinking about my knee more than what I had to do on defense. Brother, that's why are you out there? That's a problem. Right. Are you at that point, or are you beneficial to the football team? That's the thing. Does that help the football team more than it hurts the football team? That's... With him, you have to give so much attention to him. I assume they're like, no, just having him out there is huge. I thought the Niners did a great job. They got rid of the ball within two, three seconds. The Rams had very little pressure on Purdy, just because they had quick breaking routes, and Purdy was very good at getting rid of the ball very, very quickly.
The longest he held the ball all game, Bryce, was when they were backed up on their one yard line, and he was in his own end zone, and he threw from his own end zone. Yeah. It was impressive all around from the 49ers, as they get the 27-7 win over the LA Rams in Melbourne. It's 59 degrees, by the way. I kick off. That's what this says right here. Yeah. It was a little chilly. It was crisp. Yeah, a little chilly. All right. We will take a break right here. We'll come back on the other side. The Bryce is right. Our picks and predictions for the upcoming weekend slated games, not only around the Big 12, but around the Indian... It is, Bryce! Here's your host, Bryce Larson. It is time for the Bryce! Right here on 1039-983 ESPN, the fan I am, Bryce Larson. That is Jordan B. Anucci. And we are live in our downtown Salt Lake City Santa Quinn Ford Studios for a Friday. September 11th edition of the Bryce! Jordan B. Anucci may we never forget. Yeah, this is a weird time to bring it up, man. What this music going on, I don't know what to tell you. I can give you my memories of that day, maybe in another segment, while this is not playing. With that being said, let's make our picks and predictions. As you said, though, we will never forget. We'll make our picks and predictions for the upcoming slate of College Football as we go around our country. Our beautiful, beautiful country, Jordan B. Anucci. From sea to shining. That's right, let's gamble on some football.
Here we go. The most American thing that we possibly could do. Do you want to remind you this is for entertainment purposes only? So enjoy. Well, we tell you what not to do. This weekend, Missouri, a five and a half point favorite on the road at Kansas. And Jordan B. Anucci is the Kansas social media team reminded us. This is much more than just football. Kansas football put out a whole video talking about how this rivalry goes all the way back to the Civil War. How their differences between the state of Kansas and Missouri still to this day run very deep. And that is part of the reason why this is such a big border war rivalry. Yeah, Missouri, you chose the Confederacy and slavery in Kansas and John Brown said not so fast, my friend. And that is exactly what they put out in a video yesterday on their social media. If you missed it, you could go watch the video. That's incredible. People think we're joking. No, that's they really did put that out. They did put that out.
No joke. They put that out. It's amazing. For football game. Missouri, five and a half point favorite at Kansas later on tonight. This is a Friday night game. Go ahead, Jordan. Oh, man. I want to take... Who did Missouri play in week? I think we'd one game. I believe so. They are one and no. Who'd they beat? Arkansas, Pine and Bluff. 54 to 40. Oh, for crying out loud. I don't know what to do with this game. I'm rooting for Kansas hard here because, as you know, I'm a yanky. I'm a union guy. I'm going to go... Why not? I'll go Kansas at home. They win a tight one. 24-21. 24-21 for the Kansas J-Hawks. Okay, the win and the cover. Let's go. I am also rooting for the big 12. Big 12 needs to win as many SEC matchups as possible. I think KU is looking pretty good. So I'm going to roll with Kansas. I think it'll be a close one too because that's what you get with these.
Although I will say they'll cook a game-winning fill goal 17-16 at the buzzer to get the win there in Lawrence, Kansas. Let's jump over to Arizona State as they take on Texas A&M in college station this upcoming weekend. Jordan Beynuch, this is a 15-and-a-half point line of favor of the Aggies who are ranked 10th in the land at Kyle Field for Kenny Billingham Squad going on the road at 10 A&M kickoff on ABC. I'm going to go... Man, I hope we're in Arizona State and do something, but I'm going to take... I don't know what to do with this game. That's what the line is... what again? 15-and-a-half. Such a big line. I would... Oh man. I'm going to go... Texas Tech wins it, but I think Arizona State covers it. Texas A&M, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Texas A&M wins it. I'm going to go 35-24.
Yeah, Arizona State covers. I'm very similar. I think Texas A&M is going to win it. I think Arizona State will keep it respectable though. They come up just a little bit short. I'll go 28-21. Final score in favor of Texas A&M with an ASU cover as well. Of all the games this weekend between the big 12 and other teams, I think that's the one I want the big 12 to win the most. That'd be cool. That'd be a huge upset especially in front of that crowd, but that's a tough place. It is. From college station to beautiful Corvallis Oregon. You ever had a Corvallis? I never happened to Corvallis. Oh, it's nice. The trees smell so fresh when you go outside. It's not a... Is there for a basketball game? It's not a dump like Eugene? No. I'm much more on the side of the beavers than the ducks. I want to make it clear for all our Oregon. I'm joking. Eugene is not a dump, but we like to. That's why I brought it up. That's why I brought it up. I agree with you.
Eugene is a dump. They're unprofessional. They didn't treat us nicely. You know, you wrong us one time. We don't like 9-11. We never forget. We whooped there and got disrespected in the same weekend. It's been a... Hey, they got double dipped and their asses were out of that regional. Sorry, Oregon. See ya. Alright, back to the task and end here. Texas Tech has 26 and a half point favorite at Oregon State. Research stadium. It's brand new. Jordan Beenuch. They just did some renovations. It looks nice out there. What are your thoughts? They... They... I didn't know they just did renovations. Um... I don't... This is another huge line. I think Texas Tech though. Y'all... Are they gonna cover this? Oregon State didn't look bad against Houston, right? Yeah. Um... I still... 26 and a half? Or to... Yeah, 26 and a half? Sheesh.
I guess I'll take Texas Tech to cover 48 to 14. Alright, this is where we're gonna have our first disagreement. I didn't really see a lot from Texas Tech against an Abeling Christian team. So unless Oregon State's worse than Abeling Christian. I think Texas Tech struggles at times here. They'll still win. Don't get me wrong. It'll be a Texas Tech win. But I think Oregon State... They're gonna cover. Um... They'll keep it within at least two touchdowns. I'll go... I'll go... 32... 21... Final score. Texas Tech wins. And Oregon State gets the cover. How about Arizona at BYU? Now we're getting into it here, Jordan. Local teams... The rest of the way. Arizona at BYU. BYU is 7 and a half point favorite. 130 PM mountain time kickoff. At LaVelle Edward Stadium. For an 84 degree day.
Coming up tomorrow on Fox. 84? That's what AccuWeather says right here. That's beautiful. That's accurate on AccuWeather. I would hope so. If they call themselves AccuWeather, I would hope they're AccuWeather. Well, I would hope so too. But you never know. I'm gonna take BYU to cover here. I think they win by 10. I'm gonna go 34, 24 BYU wins it. I also agree. I think BYU is going to win and cover that point spread. I'll give them a two touchdown win here coming up. But you're right. I think they are gonna need more points than what they thought they would need. Now if the feed is good. They just got back to our leading rusher, I guess, because of a Pima County court down there. So we'll see how they deal with the rushing attack now from Arizona. We'll see what that looks like. I will go with BYU getting the win. And I think they put up some good points. I'll go... See if I can do math quickly here.
What, 3628? Is that a good score? Hello, Dan. How about that? Is that our consultant? That's our consultant. Let's hear that. For no big? Yeah, here are our consultant again. Hello, Dan. All right, there we go. Our no big consultant. She has something else she wants to get in here. Sput, sput, sput. She loves sports. And I love that about her. Okay. 36... Oh, that's only an eight point win. You're still in the back. We'll figure this out. Don't you worry. It's all going to be nice. I'm fine. I have our consultant here. Sput, sput, sput. Really wants to get in on the conversation I can tell. Oh, yeah. All right, 3617. Final score. Okay. I forgot about game where you're talking about it. It took me a minute, but I figured it out. Don't worry. All right, let's jump over to Utah and Arkansas, up on the hill, Reicycle Stadium. 815 PM. Start. On ESPN.
Utah's climbed up to a 12 and a half point. Favorite, they were... They opened up at like 8, 9, 9 and a half. Now it's gone all the way up to 12 and a half. On the line that we're currently checking out, 83 degrees at kickoff, according to AccuWeather. Your thoughts on Arkansas and number 20, Utah. I'm Arkansas fans are disrespecting the state of Utah and the big 12. And I don't care for it. They think that, oh yeah, it's not going to be a problem going into Salt Lake City and getting a win against a good team because we're used to playing, first of all, this is what bothers me, is there were fans online saying that Utah, the atmosphere in any SEC stadium is better, is head and shoulders above Utah. And no, it's not. The Vanderbilt, the atmosphere at Vanderbilt, is not head and shoulders above Utah. I'm taking the most.
I'll be closer than maybe we think, but I think they're going to cover. I'll take them by 13. Let's go 35 to, that's a weird score, but 35 to 22 Utah. Okay, I also am going to roll with the UTS as well. Utah, going to get the win, I think Arkansas keeps it within 10. So I don't know that Utah is going to cover necessarily. So I'm going to roll with Utah to win, Arkansas covers. Wow. And it'll be a 10 point victory for the UTS. How about this? How about this? Says are consulted. I will go 10 point victory. 24 14. How about that? Okay. 24 14 finals for the UTS. I'll be honest with you as much as I was really confident there. I'm concerned that this is a closer game than we think it's going to be.
I am leaning that way. I think it might be. There is a point where if you are Utah, you want to make a statement. Especially with an SEC team at home. If you could go up, if you could just take it to Arkansas, you absolutely want to do that. I'm a little bit worried that there might be some things that Utah needs to clean up before they leave that stadium. I agree. I am rooting hard. I really do hope Utah blows the wheels off Arkansas. You do not want this to be a semi-close game. Yeah. Yeah. Does not look great for the big 12. Need a big time win across the entire big 12 for all of these different teams. Especially Oklahoma State. If they could be Oregon, that would be hilarious. Not going to happen. But it would be hilarious. That would shock me more than maybe more than if Western Michigan had been able to pull it up.
Would it be shocking? I think it wouldn't be shocking, but it would be stunning. Would it be stunning? There we go. Yes, it would be stunning. Utah State taking on the Washington Husky Jordan V. Nucci. Speaking of a stunner. Yeah. The 30 p.m. kickoff on the big 10 network. They said we can't put this on linear television. This has to be on the big 10 network. Wait, isn't the big 10 network on linear television? Sure. We can't put this on national television. Yeah, they should have just put it on the Mountain West network. I know that they have no affiliation with deck offerings, but that's how bad this game is going to be. Yeah, they should have put it behind the paywall. Because nobody should be subjected to what's about to happen to the Utah State Aggies. What's up, coming week? And when you say paywall, they should be paying anyone who wants to watch this money. Exactly. You should be paid to enter. Absolutely. Utah State takes on Washington. You want to take a stab at what the line might be for this game?
Washington wasn't super impressive against Wazoo, but obviously USU would have disaster that was last week. I think Washington, what do you think? True, 29? That's really good. By the way, you can grab a ticket for this one as low as 12 bucks. They're going hot. You better pick them up. 27 and a half the line. Man, I'm getting them. I'm 27 and a half. Hat myself on the back. I'm good at guessing a lot. So Jordan, be new to Utah State at Washington. 27 and a half point line. What's your goal? I think Wazoo is not super happy with how they played against Wazoo. I think Utah State, they're ticked off, but they don't have the athletes. I'm disgusted with Utah State's effort left. I'm big in Washington to cover. I'm going to go 52 to 17. Wait, does that... No, I got to do the math. 52 to 20 would be... Yeah, 52 to 17. Watching that Idaho offense roll on the Aggies was not a great harbinger.
Not great at all. 27 and a half point line. I also am going to go with Washington to win and cover. 55 to 10 similar to what we saw from LSU in Clemson is what it will look like out there. Then Bronco Ben and Hall will be so mad that he will literally make those Utah State Aggies. Take the Oregon Trail all the way back to the state of Utah over the Sierra Nevada's and we won't see him for another month, the Utah State football team. Pack up the wagons because you're all walking home after that one. They're going to come home and we're going to be like, hey, where's a... Where's that quarter back? Where's Hills tab? That who their quarterback was that they pulled? Yeah, and then I go, it got really bad in those Sierra's. And we were hungry. We were so hungry. So we're going to need another court. That kid that didn't earn his number, which is unlike what? What? He earned his number. Up over the top of the Sierra Nevada's, he earned his number.
We don't have to talk about what happened up there. That is the prices right on a Friday edition. A reminder, entertainment purposes only. Jordan Beanucci, we'll see. We're hoving around 500 right now. I think I went just over 500 last week, you went under and then the week before you went over 500 and I went under. So we were right there at the right at 500. The early weeks of college football are really difficult to pick. Because I've no idea what I'm getting with all of these teams. Yeah. Do you have an upset pick of the weekend, by the way? You're going to throw it out there? Not at any stick out to you? Not off the top of my head. I got to pull up the slate here. Get this. Ruckers is only a three point dog to Boston College. How bad is that? Ruckers lost a UMass. That's brutal. Boston College also, oh and one, but they at least they lost to another power 14, 34 to 15 in Cincinnati. That's true. Well, my upset, by the way, we didn't pick the biggest game of the week.
Texas Ohio State. I'm boycotting. You know, you brought boycotting that matchup? Yeah, I'm boycotting the big 10. Okay. Unless Utah State's point. The upset pick of the week, I took Kansas. That's my upset pick. Also, we didn't pick Oklahoma, Michigan. No, we didn't know. And by the way, what the hell's going on here? You got a big 12 scores. Yeah, we did. I don't know. So many big 12 games to pick. What do you want? What do you want to do? I asked you for submissions. You didn't submit anything. I forgot. I don't even remember you asking that. Okay. Also, I don't see a spread for Oakland. I was, well, that's why I was, yeah, I was just going to say that. Where's the start? It even. I'm checking action network here because on the spin, you're right. There's no spread. Where? So draft Kings not throwing a line out there or is there some, did they halt betting? Because there's some interesting bets being put into that game. That's an interesting idea. If you wanted to know, Texas is a one and a half point favorite over Ohio State at DKR. And I really want to pick that game. That's a coin flip.
It could go either way. It is. I would probably take Texas. Michigan opened as a, what the hell? Michigan opened as a two and a half point favorite. And then it's completely swung, right? It is now Oklahoma minus five and half. Yeah. Yeah, I'd go with Oklahoma now. Oklahoma now and minus 15. Wow. I'd take the, the better odds. I'd swing that thing all the way to 14 and a half and say Michigan's going to win by three scores or more. You heard it here. That's, that's a, that's a lock is what we call, call that. I think Oklahoma's going to roll them. I'd be shocked if Michigan can stay in that football game. Would you really? There's my pick. Okay. There's my pick. I would also go with Ohio State on the road over Texas if you want to know who I'm picking there. Wow. Okay. I'm going to go with my upset pick of the week who really going out on a limb here Jordan Ohio State. Give me Ohio State. I'll take Cal on the road at Syracuse. All right. There you go. There's your picks and predictions for the weekend. It's part of the Bryce is right on a Friday. We'll look back at him on Monday.

All right, speaking of that 49ers wide receiver injury earlier on in the program, DeZon Stribling had an injured ankle per head coach Kyle Shanahan who added the rookies Achilles was still intact. That's good news for the 49ers going forward. Yeah, no kidding. Did they mention a timeline here? No timeline. No timeline. That's not great. But that's an update from the head coach of the 49ers Kyle Shanahan. Another update from Australia, Christian McCaffrey. This is what he had to say about going out and getting a haircut in Australia. He was at the podium speaking to the media just the other day. I was getting a haircut. I was getting a haircut today a few days ago. And one of the barbers looks at me and goes looks cracker. I was like, sorry, what did you say? I don't know what I don't know what it meant.
I guess that means it looks good. But that was funny. He said it again. I hear that every Sunday. That's awesome. There you go. That's Christian McCaffrey talking about going out and getting a haircut. Jordan, it looks cracker. It looks cracker. My sister has a, she's a third grade teacher. And she has a kid in her class. His dad is Australia. And the dad will email my sister about the son, you know, and use terms about the son. And she's like, I don't know what that means. I got to Google that. And she Googles that she's like, oh, that is a really good word for what he was describing. That's funny. That's good stuff from Christian McCaffrey and all of Australia. All right, now let's hear from the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams. Sean McBae, who says he doesn't really know. Or he's not really sure if the travel played a lot into their play last night. The aftermath of it still make you made the right decision coming here. You know, I don't believe that that's why we didn't play well enough.
I really don't. And I can, listen, I'm more than comfortable with that. That's something that I'll always make decisions that I think are best for the football team. It's easy and hindsight to be able to say it was, it was a miss. But those are responsibilities that, you know, I'll take and then you try to be able to look at it. I'll always look at myself inside out and figure out where I can improve Gary. Today was really just not good enough in terms of feeling the flow of the game, being able to give ourselves an opportunity to snatch some momentum when there was opportunities. Then think we communicated very well on both sides of the football. We obviously weren't very efficient in the kicking game either. And so they all played us in every phase. They deserve the win. I think that's really what it boils down to. And sometimes sports can have days like that. That is Sean McVeigh that coach of the Los Angeles Rams. Well, maybe one thing that went into it was the distractions off the field. One of those distractions happened to be Pukinakua in the off season. Pukinakua did an interview with Netflix's L Duncan that aired ahead of last night's game.
And he told Netflix and L Duncan that alcohol was definitely a thing for him. As he dealt with the off the field stresses that included a rapid rise to NFL Stardom and the birth of his son said that it was one of the darkest moments of his life. Jordan B. Nucci this last off season. Yeah, but jeez, you hope he's doing well. He was quiet last night. Did not was not really a factor, which was shocking. He said I have I was never one to share my fears in my worries. I was always finding different ways to escape from that tension and stress. I think one alcohol was definitely a thing for me. Just kind of drowning myself of the issues and the stress I was feeling. Never had the opportunity to be a dress. That's from Pukinakua. Hopefully he's getting the help that he needs. And he's working towards a little bit better situation for him moving forward. All right, we'll see what the NFL decides to do. I guess they're still investigating and there's still a chance that suspension could come down to Pukinakua at any point this season.
Yeah, that's kind of hangs over your head through the Rams. They're so good that maybe they can handle it, but that's amazing how... This is like an overreaction, but how our attitude towards the Rams have shifted in the last 12 hours. No doubt. We went from people saying, oh, they could go undefeated this year too. The Rams are in trouble. The Rams are in trouble. Pukinakua, who knows how long he's going to get suspended? Miles Garrett isn't healthy and where was Donald? Didn't even make the trip. That's the overreaction after last night. An overreaction Monday on a Friday. That's right. Right here on Bryson B. Anucci. That is your top headlines around the National Football League. I was brought to you by the advocates. We will take a break. Hour number two. The 8 o'clock hour comes your way.
