I mean, who's second team? Probably they, right? Well, what about the other LaFlure? I mean, look, it's a it's a hell of a contest.

14:43But I think I mean, I just a lot of gel. A lot of gel. 40 minutes of gel as opposed to 40 minutes of hell. You see the photo I just sent you like it's absurd that but you can speak to it. Look, I can't. I've never been in a in a football locker room. Whoa. Yeah, I don't know what you do when that guy. That's a high flu. That's a high flu. What do you do when that guy gets? Pretty flumed up talking to get a half. You know, I had a bit of a flume going in an East Lansing matter, but I don't think it was that flu. But that's pretty flu. Speaking of college football, the SEC filed a amendment to its federal lawsuit against LSU. I hate to see this mad. It's like general Beauregard and general Long Street attack at each other. I don't like it. Blade Kiffin and school officials on Tuesday and LSU are under attack from their own conference.

15:50The SEC seeks the authority to expel LSU from the league. The SEC is not expected to take such action. So a lot of Sabah Ratlin. But the following indicates the seriousness of the league and it's attempts to affirm the legal right to enforce its own rules and rattle its own Sabah. Sa. Sa. Sa. Sa. Sa. So much as I truly don't like that Lane Kiffin fella. Sa. Sa. Sa. He's jogging off the field and he says, yeah. Imagine if we had pro players out there. It's just like you complete A hole. Emma, what about tickets? I don't want to laugh at that. What about shooting a hole? What about shooting jumpers, shooting jumpers while your other teams are in the red zone. It's such a complete leader. No, it's a circus. It really is.

It's those two punk ass replay guys. Basic premise of replay, Joel back in 99. We said, look it. Don't overturn anything that people that are watching TV don't see. Don't use video that they can't see because conspiracy theories are going to be abound everywhere. And so the replay officials have been told, and I get it, this panic situation, you've never had it before. Take a deep breath. Look at both. If there is a discrepancy, go to the TV and use the television shot. So really, really when it's all said and done, that's what should have happened. And there shouldn't have been another player.

17:51And after all this fall out, the Mac has turned around and said, we were just kidding about being cool about this. We wanted back Western Michigan able to take the high road and we're the Mac and we want to back was not going to sit sit quietly without fine. Pereira was great. You know, who the other guy who's been on our show, Dean Blan Dina, has been a complete failure on this thing. Pereira just kind of laying it all out. A lot of people had fun with that. And Matt, the Lakers are going to build a statue of Phil Jackson. Yeah, very exciting. They have commissioned a statue of legendary head coach Phil Jackson. They'll be added to the group of statues out there at Staples Center. There are more people. There are more statues than most sparks games have attendance.

30:14A one 15 average six for 52. So when the and I don't know if this was like the commissioner Rob Manfred. If it was what he embodies the collective owners, not the Dodgers or the Mets or maybe it was the Dodgers and the Mets and they want to stop spending all this money or something. But they said they hoped the Dodgers landed Tarek's Google at the deadline because that would help push their baseball is broken and needs a salary cap narrative. Nobody's got a chance. They're always going to get what they want. I would imagine right now they must be freaking out because the Dodgers quite simply aren't the Dodgers without an effective Otani casting that air of inevitability of world series success across the diamond. That's not seemed too far fetched even with an alien Otani watching Will Smith hit that sack fly last night for an insurance run and then squat behind the dish to navigate a perfect night for Evan Phillips was certainly settling for all the nervousness that was

You know, he is the foundation much like Casey Blake was some 20 years. How are we going to call Casey? I thought they. It is exactly what we were talking about, right? Tonight, Derek Scubull tomorrow for your sweet night P Yoshi Yamamoto on the mound and then Blake Snell and then glass now for the first two games of the Miami series against a Marlins team that has now lost four of their last five and then they go up to Cincinnati where those same four pictures will throw again against the same Reds team. They beat six to three last night will face tonight tomorrow. For that, they'll finish out the season with six and nine against the Giants who are as bad if not worse than any other team. They will face this month and the fact that their average and six runs per game over the last four suggests that maybe the offense has woke up now, even if five of those total

He said he wanted to be with his guys that he wanted to make another start. But for whatever reason he couldn't and everyone had mentioned all this a guy that really wants to compete. But you know, he's got to look out for himself. He's on his last year of his deal. Big free age, that kind of thing. Looks like that's a non-conversation now because tonight he's pitching on four days

34:25rest. And as close as we are to the postseason, you would have to guess that he's pitching on four days rest because they want to see how it goes as we are close to the postseason. And if you're the game one starter in a divisional round, then you are pitching game five on four days rest. And Yoshi Yamamoto has yet to start a game on fewer than five days rest in his three seasons. Now, of course, he went back to back in game six and seven and helped the Dodgers win the World Series last year and he the World Series MVP. But it's a little bit different than starting a game on four days rest knowing that's going to be the schedule you're on and then preparing yourself accordingly with your bullpen day, with your long toss with all of that. He simply has not done that ever. And in the case of school bull, there is proof of concept. He pitched on four days rest in the 2024 playoffs last year machine, school bull machine.

35:26Four days rest between each start. First one, he threw a hundred and seven pitches, seven and two thirds, one run and a win over Cleveland to advance to the divisional round. Then seven innings, two earned runs and 97 pitches on four days rest against the Mariners. And again, four days later, six innings, 99 pitches, one earned run, showed last year he could do it. It's what Andrew Friedman was talking about when he joined us after the trade. The fact that he's doing it tonight in a regular season start with 18 games left. What does it mean? It means that he doesn't give a rip about free agency, I guess, and that he wants this World Series that he pitched his ass off last year, got no run support. The Tigers won one of his three starts on those four day rest runs two to one. They lost the other two, three to two and nine innings and three to two and 15 innings. And so unlike their previous two high profile big name headed for free agency starter trades,

36:30you Darvish, who was great until the World Series and Mac Scherzer who did it, I say, will never forgive who shut it down after the divisional series. He was affected the health of Walker Bueller who had to take his place against the Braves. Vassay had a lot of Greta Thunberg tore it. He was like he was absolute. He was just addicted to the world stage against Scherzer. Oh, continues today. It continues today. Uh, Google, it appears as different. And that's how you win back to back, saw young awards. And yeah, I get it. The Dodgers, we're sucking ass against playoff teams and these wins have come against crappy opponents, but that's what you said, Matt. That's what you said was going to happen. That's right. You get your offense rolling. You get your rotation ready and right. It is an emotional roller coaster, chock full of recency bias. No doubt losing two or three to the Cardinals now winning five in a row.

37:33I get it. But more than anything, there's a reason why they pay and continue to make trades for or at least made this trade for Terry school because more often than not, the rotation is what dictates success in the postseason, especially if you got a guy like school, that can not only go on four days, but can deliver like he did last year. All right. Here's the deal. All right. All right. Here we go. Here's the deal. This is why you're going to want to watch tonight. Here he goes. Four days rest. Coming off five and two thirds. And the most hits he's ever given up in a regular season start, 10 against the Cardinals. Let's see what it looks like because it certainly appears as though this is on audition to be the game one starter in the postseason. I know, Matt, that we're not going over there until tomorrow, but with the way you talk about it and the way you lay it out, and I kind of want to put on an oversized green t-shirt up in the van with my Marmaduke looking dog.

38:36Terry's Google Watch. Where will he go? All the big teams are calling Boston or New York or Milwaukee LA. Where will he end up going on Monday? Terry's Google Watch. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We should revisit the excitement we felt when he signed in a more innocent time before the angels sold before the lodge was shut down for a fumigation. September 8, 18, 97 would have been 129 today down there in Meridian, Mrs. Sip. Mrs. Sip. Mrs. Sip. That's where James Charles Rogers came into the world. We know him better as Jimmy Rogers. Wow. And like Kates, if you are a true fan of country music, Jimmy Rogers is essentially your country

46:54got. They call him the father of. Oh, yeah. Oh, there he is. There's Kate. Well, it's like he saw somebody's over here at the bar and door. As I dictated and how was your weekend, I am fascinated by the TV channel West. This is just all Western TV shows. Right. The four-in-one gun smoke. Maverick. Virginia City. Like all of them. Oh, yeah. All of them. Say all their names. Jimmy Rogers is your bag, man. He earned the moniker, the father of country music. He did not come from money. He lost his mother young and bounced around between relatives. Nobody seemed to want young Jimmy by his teenage years. He was work on the railroad. Every job. Water boy, break man, flag man. I think we know here on the Petros and Money Show what that railroad bike is like. Wow. There's no doubt about it, Matt. You know, I've been lived a hard, scrabble life on the railroad with my Chinese brethren. He was around hobos. He was around blues musicians, mountain folk.

47:54Stoken up every kind of music you can imagine. When I hit the railroad museum in Sacramento with my son's fifth grade class, Matt. And I saw the dolls of little Chinese people working the railroads. I was so filled with emotion. Oh, it's relatable for you. Yodeling. I started yodeling. Crying. Oh, carrying on. Blue yodel. All about it. He had the nickname before he became the father of country music to sing and break. Yodel, whoo. 1924, he catches a liner. Oh, yeah. Diagnosed with tuberculosis. Couldn't keep up with the railroad work anymore. So it was just out of necessity. The only way he could make money was music full time. And there was that special moment. August 4th, 1927, Bristol, Tennessee shows up for an audition. A talent scout by the name of Ralph Peer is recording local musicians for the Victor label. And what do you know that same week in that exact same session. Another act walks in as well.

48:54The Carter family. Could make a compelling case. That day in Bristol was the single most important week in the history of country music. His early records didn't do a lot, but the one we just heard. And I think we got a whole catalog here at Jimmy. He cuts blue yodel. Known better as T for Texas. And it was in immediate hit. One year. This was 1927. Oh, Matt. One more year. And you got the copyright. Here is what made him special. It was just. I mean two months. Two months, man. Blues. Yodeline mountain music. Through it in a blender. And it was something no one had ever heard before. The blue yodel was his signature. Yodel. Between 27 and 33. This dude is a machine cut and hit after hit. Waiting for a train in the jailhouse now. 13 different blue yodel records. But Peer the Lunger never left.

49:5533 is recording his final session in the big town. And he's so sick. He's got a light out between takes just in order to keep going. And that would be a few days later. May 26, 1933. He succumbed past at just 35 years old. Six years. That is all Jimmy Rogers had as a recording artist. Six years. So of course, even though he was dead for about 30 years in 1961, he became the first inductee into the country music hall of fame. Right alongside Hank Williams and Fred Rose. You named the legend if they got them some acoustic guitar, Bob Dylan, Hank, chances are it was Jimmy Rogers that influenced them somewhere along the way. Let's hear a little more yodeline, please. Yodel. Yodel. Yodel. If you want to wait in one more month, we wouldn't have had to sell our soul to the Rogers

Well, this will be a little bit of a diversion beating out one of my favorite obscure dance hall artists. Professor Nuts, who we celebrated last year. Oh, Nuts. 24 years old today, much like my play by play partner. Carlo Jimenez. Oh, he's Guy Tano, Matarazzo. From New London, Connecticut, but raised in New Jersey. Theater kid. A real theater kid. Who became a singer. He went to Pinelands High School, go Wildcats. First credit on Broadway. Percilla, clean the desert. Favorite of Matt Smith. Van. The VHS. Matt, he went on tour for years.

51:56With Lemez. As Galvroche. Favorite. Mine's Percilla. Well, it's just Lemez. Lemez should be everybody's family. But you know, you get your weirdos that like Percilla and Matt also likes the rollerblading one. Oh, startlikes press. Startlikes press. Don't get me started on pivot. This guy has become a real TV star. Due to his role as Dustin Henderson on the show Stranger Things. A show that I don't watch. But my kids do. And I know the big 10 used the Stranger Things font to tell us about their secret ref clock. Give their statement on Saturday night. Oh, turn it up. The Henderson character in Stranger Things. Apparently he's also nicknamed the Bard or Tuteless. And he has a central character. I guess he's the valedictorian of the school. His girlfriend is Elizabeth Yu from the last airbender. He still works theater.

He went and saw Bill Handel's favorite, Swinny Todd in 2022. He became, actually he was in Swinny Todd. Oh, come on. You and Bill will have that connection. We'll have forever. He did Gutenberg the musical. Oh. And Gutenberg can you please say something? Matt's number one favorite. He just did on the West End. Showing that just because he made a bunch of money on Stranger Things. It has not stopped him. He's been doing theater and loving theater. Guy Tono-Montorazzo.
