An Illinois Mother “Invested In Lindsay Clancy” Strangles Her Child, Blames Psychosis

A horrific story out of an affluent Chicago suburb has the country stunned by the similarities between Lindsay Clancy and 38-year-old mother of four, Corie Walshe. Walshe’s older two kids made the unimaginable discovery of their 2-year-old baby brother, Barrett, hanging from the basement rafters after they came home from school. Their mom was in the bathtub, reportedly trying to kill herself.  Hours earlier she had been in a group chat with friends talking about the Lindsay Clancy trial, and police say Walshe told them she killed her toddler because he was the “anti-Christ.” Thankfully an infant was found unharmed in the home, but now Walshe is charged with first degree murder, leaving family, friends and the entire community in shock.
