This is an I Heart Podcast. Guaranteed Human. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I choose option B. I'm Julie Pinero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility. Listen to Solita on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. I survived nine months in captivity and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart and these are the survivor files. Every week I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. Abducted, stalked, controlled and nearly silenced.

These are stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the survivor files with Elizabeth Smart on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. LA, big roster news after months and months of chatter. The decision is in. Is Aaron Donald A not returning to the LA R&B saying I can't play anymore. I'm cooked. B no comment on my future plans or C you can ram it all day and you can ram it all night. Survey says the answer C can ram it all day and you can ram it all night. So if you didn't see this Aaron Donald, Humman bars there and he's out of retirement two seasons away. And he has returned to the LA Rams for the 2026 regular season.

Our long national light mirror is now over. We football player signed a contract that used to play football. Okay, that's exciting. Let's I like the Rams. I hope Donald as well. I'm tired of the story though. Tired of the story. I am 35 year old defensive tackle. The good news is he's going to get out of poverty now because he no longer has to worry. That one year contract for $20 million with playoff based incentives that could push the deal up to $30 million. So it'll be okay. One year, $20 million contract to come back and play. And then up to $30 million. I've not seen the fine print on what those incentives are. Good luck. Now reports claimed that this went down to the wire. Did you see this bull crap? Yeah, the reports were like, oh my god. Donald left the Ram facility on Sunday without telling the organization.

He's the decision. Yeah, that was the reporting. There were doubts. Legitimate doubts about the comeback before he agreed to return less than two hours later. Maybe he had to go to Chipotle or something like that. Get lunch. He went out and had a nice lunch and then he came back. He said, I'm psych. I'm going to play. All right. So that is a good jumping off point. Let us discuss the question defensive tackle. Aaron Donald waiting until the 11th hour to return to the L.A.R. Rams. Was this legitimate? The way it's being portrayed. It wasn't legitimate. Soul searching by Aaron Donald or manufactured drama. So I've got iPad, 1000 island dressing and autopsy report. And I do not have a fork in my mouth but other people may. All right. So, A. All right. Listen, it's a flosser. That's all right. It's a floss. It looked like a fork. It was very odd to talk with a fork in your mouth.

In my peripheral vision, I looked across the glass and I saw it looked to be a nice fork. Just too little fork over here. Well, some people enjoy that. It's, you know, my knots. All right. So again, the question you get defensive tackle. Aaron Donald and he waited until the 11th hour returns to the L.A.R. Rams. Was this legitimate? Deep soul searching or just manufactured drama. So A. Spare me the Hamlet routine with Aaron Donald. I do not need the Hamlet routine with Aaron Donald. It's not that deep to play or not to play. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Please. All right. This was not soul searching. This was manufactured drama or Rama. It's humbuckery is what it is by the by the Rams. It's like, and you get a little side here. The key part of this, the reason Donald waited here. He did not want to do training camp. The man said, no, X-Nay on the camp A.

And that's why he skipped out on training camp. And we talked about this. I've been hearing this for a while that there were three options. Assign immediately and show up and go through all the practices. There was that option and then play in the regular season games. There was don't go to training camp and then sign. And then play in all the games. There was also an option of don't go to training camp. Don't sign right away and wait and see and make sure the Rams are as good as the hype. And then sign with them as a late season edition. You'll have to keep in shape and then come back and play at some point around week eight or nine of the regular season and that will be that. All right. So Donald spent the summer and even before that, before the summer, giving the Rams, if you read the reporting here, the it was the bachelor finale treatment from Aaron Donald here. And then he finally accepted the rose.

And I just I'm not surprised at all. I was getting messaged. You see, he saw, I know my God, my buddies were resting something. Well, A, I'm not that into it. The Rams don't necessarily need Donald. This is an add on item. The Rams are so good. Seattle's freaking out. They're signing guys that have all kinds of issues and are broken down up there in the Pacific Northwest or facing legal ramifications all because they're trying to catch the Rams. Because they know that was a fluke with the sea octet last year. And so the Rams are there was before they added Aaron Donald. So they don't need Aaron Donald per se. And Miles Garrett, when he showed up, and they traded a bunch of traffic and whatever to get it. So fine. You got Miles Garrett flashing all the jewelry. Don't say, I don't want to come back and play. I'm not going to come back and play. And then Garrett's out there flashing all the individual awards, no team awards because you play for the Browns. And Donald got seduced to come back into the nightclub for one more dance under the disco ball at the nightclub there.

And so if you look at it being completely transparent, this is the greatest defense ever assembled based on record of individual accomplishments. Now does that mean if you look at the iPad, no, I'm serious. Oh, you just being a homer, Mallor. You're being a homer. No, I'm not. No, I'm not. Look at the resume. Look at that bull card. You people love your little accomplishments. Look at all the accolades. Defense of player there here, they're in everywhere. Revamped secondary. The Rams went out and bought the Chief Secondary that won all those super balls. They got those guys. Now they've added Miles Garrett and Aaron Donald. That's unbelievably craziness. Greatest defense ever assembled. Wonderful. Frame that, put that up. Now of course, the problem is always eventually you actually have to play football, which is always just a buzzkill. You actually have to play the freaking games. And Donald is 35. Last I checked, he has not been cryogenically frozen the last two years.

He's not hanging out with Ted Williams brain somewhere in Arizona. Okay, that's not happening. So the Rams are betting on muscle memory here. They're betting on muscle memory over father time. That on a one-on-one tackle, a dual muscle memory will take down father time. And so we'll see if this works. But if Donald comes back here and is merely mortal, like a think of him like a Clark Kent. All right, we're in a suit and the glasses and all that stuff. Okay, fine. But if he's not, that's not good. It's passable. They're betting on Superman up up out of way is what they're betting on. The height machine, if this is Clark Kent and not Superman goes right in the ditch, right in the ditch is where it goes there. So if someone else, and this is, I love the fact there's no margin for error. If someone else hoist the Lombardi trophy at Sofie Stadium in February of 2027,

Valentine's Day, I believe, is the date of the Super Bowl, then the Hollywood production is a EF epic fail is what it becomes for the Rams. So hey, I'm all for it. You should, every team should be like that. We're all in. The Rams are all in. They've got the fossil of Matthew Stafford. They squeezed out an MVP last year. At this point, Pukin Kukua hasn't been suspended for going around like a vampire and biting women. So he's still able to play. So you got that. All right, meanwhile, speaking of Seattle, let's now head to the Pacific Northwest where several of you reached out to me. For some reason, the 12s love the show. You think they wouldn't like the show, but they love it. So I got some emails after the Seattle Seahawks had added defensive back Trevian Diggs. Remember, they signed him Trevian Diggs. They signed him former cowboy defensive back and they signed him not that long ago, like within the last couple of weeks. And I was skeptical. Of course, I'm always skeptical. It's kind of my default position on this.

And so well, the news came out with roster cut downs around the league on Sunday. One of the surprise moves, the Seattle Seahawks have said, bye, bye. They have temporarily fired defensive back Trevian Diggs. So I guess all those emails I can, can I write back to you and do? Na na na na na na. Yes. Now supposedly this is where it gets even better. So supposedly it's not a permanent goodbye. Oh, no, not a permanent goodbye. The GM John Schneider, John Schneider. I came out and said the Seahawks intend to bring Stefan Diggs brother, Trevian Diggs back to the practice squad and the Pacific Northwest. And he waxed a little quacious John Schneider about the players and the coaching staff. They just love Diggs. Love it. They dig him. And you just need more time to acclimate himself, acclimate himself to the Seahawks uniform.

So as a vested veteran, not from what I read, these things are never wrong. So Diggs does not have to clear away. He was free to sign with any team's 53 man roster or practice squad before returning to Seattle. So he can go somewhere else and that's it. Pretty sure that there's not a big market for this guy. I'm just saying. All right. So the question. Seattle says that hey, they love Trevian Diggs big fans. Of course, they also let go of Trevian Diggs. And so that's the deal. So Seattle says they love Trevian Diggs, but that doesn't an NFL team show love. This is going to shock you by actually giving the player a roster spot that they love. I know. Oh, you're such a boomer, Mallor. I know. I know. I'm from the old country. Yes. Sounds like some of the conversations I've had with program directors.

Well, we really think you're good, Ben. Not good enough to put you on during the day or pay you real money, but we think you're thank you. Just give me the bird. Just give me the frickin bird already. All right. So to answer the question, again, Seattle waxing locations about Trevian Diggs and how great he is and all that stuff. And my point is they generally give you a roster spot. If they think that way and the answer to that is bingo bingo. Seattle thought Trevian Diggs was hamburger helper. They've oh, my god, diamond in the rough. Big name and put him out there just add some water and presto. You got instant NFL starting level defensive back in the rotation. The reality false advertising. All right. That's soft soap. It is soft soap there. You're not good enough. That John's died. What he's doing is saying he's pouring thousand island dressing on top of the story there. And needs time to acclimate, which is code for you're not good enough

right now. So let's put some dressing on top of this and soften the blow. Because if Seattle believe that Trevian Diggs could still play at high level, based on their suck bag secondary, that he would absolutely be on the 53 man roster right now, not handed a RSVP at the kitty table of the practice squad. Is it possible? This is one that Jerry Jones got right. Maybe Jerry Jones actually knew something when Dallas dumped the guy that had 11 interceptions and was all pro a couple years back. Think about that 11 intercept. You talk about the NFL how fast stardom evaporates in the NFL once injuries mess with the margin for error. So this guy was the toast to the NFL a couple years ago with the Cowboys. Now he's battling for scraps. It's wild. That is not trying to acclimate yourself to the roster. That's the NFL moving you straight from the showroom

over to the bargain bin is what that is. All right. Last word to more Cummings and goings in the NFL. We head now to Nashville Tennessee. The music city at some point we got to do a mile of meet and greet Nashville. We got to get to Nashville soon. We got to we got to make that happen. Yeah, absolutely. And we can all stay at Clay Travis's house. You know our old morning guy. I'm sure Clay will put us up. No problem unless unless he calls the cops. Anyway, the Titans, the Tennessee Titans waving will levis by by will levis has been let go over the weekend. One of many roster moves around the NFL ending his three year run. He was the 33rd overall picked the top pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft and X-Nay on the quarterback A he gone. Tennessee reportedly tried desperately to trade will levis. And nobody wanted. There was no market. That's depressing. And the levis became the starter.

And when Ryan Taylor is a rookie, you had Ryan Tannihill sucked at a time you cannot suck. And so there you go. I actually kept a job in 2024 will levis briefly. And some of the online chatter saying that will levis was set up to fail in Nashville. I love that. Just no accountability. It's just that's all blame somebody else. Blame somebody else. All right, so the question who deserves more of the blame? Well, play the blame game. I love the game. It's the blame game. All right, so who deserves more blame for the quarterback will levis failure? The bellywapper that he did with the Titans. Is it the Titans organization or is it will levis himself? All right, so my default position now very rarely do I go away from my default position on this. My default position on this is stop blaming the Tennessee Titans in this case. Will levis was given a great mitzvah, an opportunity to play as a rookie,

meaningful NFL snaps to show something. And did he show something? No, he just wasn't good enough. That's what he showed. He sucked at a time you cannot suck. That's it. The autopsy report on the quarterback experiment in Tennessee reads faulty wiring upstairs. Now he did get hurt in the middle of that, but my god. Will levis was your classic central casting quarterback, relatively big, strong arm, some said rocket. He has a rocket launcher. Okay, looked like a million bucks will levis on the catwalk. Walking off the bus, doing a pirouette there. And then they had to show up and the actual football stuff took place there. And the stat of stats, the mother of all stats with will levis in 2024. 16.3% of his plays in 2024 resulted in either a sack, a fumble or interception.

Like that, that's in part 15% of the time it was a sack of fumble or interception. He was a gridiron. Pinyata is what he is. And Tennessee couldn't trade him. Thing about it, they couldn't even get a bag of gumballs, not even the good kind of gumballs. They couldn't even get crappy gumballs for will levis. And he gets tossed straight into the recycling bin. And now is he going to find a job somewhere in a practice squad? Yeah, problem. He'll find he'll find work somewhere, but barring a Hollywood plot twist. Will levis goes from a guy that at one point was being tagged as a top 10 pick in the NFL draft to currently unemployed in his chosen line of work at age 27. And the wiki pd. A page you look at will levis now he's giving us good talk radio. Will levis has given us good talk radio. We will forever be grateful for will levis coffee mayo guy. Remember will levis coffee mayo guy like to put the mayo in the coffee,

which I think was a joke. And then it became a thing and he got a he became like a brand ambassador for mayonnaise. And then he was also the victim of a Eastern European hacking group that put a sex tape of will levis all over the internet. So he's more known for those things than he is playing quarterback and just flying. Like he thought he was Superman that there were a couple times carrying the ball with the Titans. Well, he got hit and did the old helicopter got hit in the air. All right. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and health captive for nine months. I survived and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart and these are the survivor files. You just remember this low taunting voice next to my ear saying, shut up, don't say anything. Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. Their story is about what it takes to make it out alive.

Listen to the survivor files with Elizabeth Smart on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I choose option B. I'm Julie Beniero and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people and they were like, you smiled at us, not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the iHeartRadio app,

Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. You know the feeling. You make a pick in your fantasy draft in the entire room groans because they wanted that player. Or you grab a small school rookie off waivers and you start him right before he goes off in prime time. There's no better feeling than crushing your fantasy football league. I'm JJ Zacharyson, host of the Late Round Fantasy Football Podcast. Before your draft, our players to target and players to avoid episodes tell you exactly who to circle and who to cross off. We've got data-driven analysis, historical trends, and the strategies that separate winners from the rest. And your dominance doesn't stop with the draft. College football will hijack your weekend, ruin your sleep and break your heart. And that's why we make the Sullivan-verbal College football show. I'm Ty Hildenbrand. He's Dan Rubenstein. How's it gone? Every week we preview the games that matter, sort through the biggest storylines, and tell you what to watch before kickoff. There's a lot to keep track of. Who's for real? Which upset is hiding in plain sight? And which storyline is about to take over your group chat? And when the games are over, join us in the aftermath, too. We're going to react to what happened, talk about the biggest results. Of course, we'll cover the playoff picture, and all the little details you might have missed while flipping between like 12 games at once. Whether you know every coach and coordinator or just want to understand why everybody is yelling, we're here to help make sense of the madness. Listen to the Solid Verbal College football show on the iHeart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The US Open is back. That's right. Two weeks of incredible,

exciting tennis. Some outrageous overreactions from players and some hot takes from people who have, let's face it. No idea what they're talking about, but it's okay because I'm here for them and you. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'll be breaking down everything that happens after Big Matches, who's playing the best tennis, who looks like they could possibly win this tournament. The surprise runs, the heartbreaking exits, and all the drama that only the US Open can deliver. Coco, looking real good. Her serve looks so much smoother than it has in the past. I was really happy to see Eager back to what she looked like a couple of years ago when she was winning dominantly. Listen, I'm going to let Venus decide when she wants to retire. I'm going to let the tournaments decide when they don't want to give her a walk out because she still puts bombs in seats. She still sells and people love to see her play. You always say on this show that this is the best predictor of who will do well at the US Open. If this is a preview, then we are in for a treat. Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the iHot Radio app, Apple podcasts,

or wherever you get your podcasts. A story that has been years and years in the making. I have had many, many people reach out to me over the years trying to do some kind of voodoo bugleau to get rid of the owner in anaheim and it's not that the witch is dead, the witch is dead, the witch is dead. However, a changing of the halo at the big A, already marino, already marino, exiting kind of what? Well, the news came out. If you didn't see it, perhaps not already marino, long time terrible owner of the anaheim baseball team is selling the angels to the guy that owns the ramps, Stan Cronkey and the angels, the most valuable team ever sold in baseball, which proves winning doesn't matter. The halos will be sold for four billion

dollars. Yikes. Now, Stan Cronkey, the largest independent landowner in the United States, part of his operation, his empire of sports and entertainment, they will acquire. We are told they controlling stake with a deal expected to close sometime in early 2027. Of course, keep in mind, there's a work stoppage in baseball that will not impede the agreement to sell the angels. It is pending major league baseball approval. If you've seen some of the people baseball's approved as owners, it doesn't seem like the bar is that high to clear. So Stan should be all right, Stan the man already owns as mentioned the Rams, the Denver nuggets and the the avalanche, the rapids, some premier league team and the whole thing. He's got a little bit of this, a little bit of that and a lot of money. Now, Cronkey issued a prepared statement and in that prepared statement, he claimed that the angels are quote a storied franchise anchored in a great

market and promises a quote exciting future, a lot of empty platitudes in that particular statement from Arty Merino, but that is a good jumping off point. Let us discuss the question, how much better off are the angels today? Simply because Stan Cronkey is going to replace Arty Merino. We'll keep it simple. So I've got Greyhound bus, Buzz Lightyear and Good Year Blimp. And we will combine all of these things together and we're going to have some fun, fatty cake because the feedback I've gotten already from you who reach out to me and harass me via the email. You've already let me know that this is one of the great days in your life as a sports which is very odd that just a rich guy buying the team from another rich guy qualifies as a great day, a wonderful mids for, but here we are. That's how bad the angels have been. So my first thought on this,

I do agree. I get to this no real hyperbole. This is a, it feels like a liberation day in Anaheim for a sad, sack, pathetic franchise. And that's what the angels have been for years and years and years and years and years and the angel fans a hearty bunch. Do I see a parade? So I was going to local radio. I'd set up some kind of parade and we'd have a parade down Main Street, USA there. What fun would that be? Right? You can declare yourself born again, born again, fan of the angels. There you go. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And symbolically, you know, you have to symbolically, you have to attack the already marino statue. Is there an already marino statue? It seems like there should be the way already ran the angels there. Take your sledgehammers, get a bulldozer from a construction site and knock yourself out there. The greatest day for the halos since the O2 world series against the Higante's back, back many years ago. That's an entire generation thing about a generation has passed and the angels have been futile on the field, the wild,

wild, generation of kids have been born, grown up, made it through college and these angels have sucked their whole lives. So I am Benny Brightside. I am Benny Brightside here. I genuinely am happy for my friends that like the angels, the long suffering fans of the halo there. I'm happy for you. You've endured this horrific blight of bad baseball and you've been fed a constant diet of fertilizer, hoagies. I know whoops excited. He's he dusted off all his angel gear. He's so excited there. You can you can wear it again. He there's no longer shame. There's no longer shame in that. And to go from already marino to Stan Kronke, it's kind of like going from a 1970s grayhound bus to a golf stream. Yet it's just a big time upgrade there, big time upgrade and Kronke who I've known about Stan Kronke for a long time. He's been around much and older than I am by a lot. I remember I was talking about a buddy of mine about this. Years ago when the Rams were in St. Louis, the late

great Joe McDonnell legend and LA radio legend Joe McDonnell, he was he knew Stan Kronke pretty well. Stan was not really involved in sports too much back in those days and he's like, well, Stan, you got to move the Rams back to LA Stan. He actually did. Now I've Joe died before that happened, but Stan actually bought the Rams and moved him back to LA and the whole thing. But anyway, listen, here's the deal. The guy's an introvert fellow. I'm an introvert. He's an introvert. So that's a good thing. And he lets his money do the talking and it's worked out pretty well. And that money's got a big booming voice. It does a very shrewd businessman. Of course, you can be a shrewd businessman. When you have unbelievably huge amounts of money, he's worth around $24 billion. Give or take depending on stock market. And he tapped into that sweet nectar of Walmart money early on through marriage. And you would seem to think that Stan Kronke sees the angels as they are. Well,

they're undervalued. It's a big market, Southern California. And there's real estate involved in that. And whether you keep the angels in Anaheim or you move them somewhere else, you love buying land. And land becomes even more valuable when you put a baseball stadium in it and put apartments around it and things like that develop a shopping center and hotels and all that stuff. And so it's kind of like what he's done with the Rams at Sofie Stadium in that whole area in LA, which is a whole to do with all kinds of things going on there. You'd imagine he'd do the same thing. And he's so rich Stan Kronke that when this guy takes a bowel movement, it's $4,500 for one bowel movement. Yeah, it goes to take a whiz. It's like $1,000. It's pretty crazy. They're hallelujah. All right, keeping the theme of the hour going here on the Ben Mallor Show. So another angle to this what does the future hold for the angels understand Kronke? So looking into my crystal ball

as a distant relative of Nostradamus and close personal friend of Nostradinus. The term here, it's an old TV show Happy Days. Yes, Happy Days are here again. The angels actually could sniff a playoffs bot instead of sniffing the worst record in professional baseball, which is where they have been going neck and neck at this point in the season for the last couple of weeks here. That's a couple of months actually as the worst team is between them and the Rockies at the very bottom there. So we see in the crystal ball Stan Kronke going full toy story, like think Buzz Lightyear with the angels to infinity and beyond to infinity and beyond. Just like that. So first things first, of course, you need to do the right thing and that is in organizational exorcism and you have to fumigate the entire franchise anything associated with Arty Marino.

And this era of the angels must be fumigated. It has to happen there. And the argument has been the angels are one of those sleeping giants in terms of the amount of people that could go to those games, support the team and that they are in a place people want to play. Prime location in Orange County. Mike Trout loves it so much. He doesn't care. The angels have it one his whole career. He lives in Laguna Beach. He can go surfing and golfing and do whatever he wants and it doesn't matter. Nobody pressures him. There's no real accountability. It's been great. The surf and turf right there. Hallelujah. And it's a big Mario. So Stan Kronke, he did not all of a sudden become all a dark rich and make money on top of money by thinking small. So you figure he's going to think big there and there's no seven year rebuilding plan. All that bull crap. That's all the scam. The angels have been pulling that scam. We're building. No, you're not. You're not building anything.

You know, forget the ceremonial prospect canoodling. There's no canoodling needed here. Stan Kronke, I believe he's 79 and when you're 79, you're not thinking, hey, let's have a seven year rebuild. You're in bonus time and you might as well enjoy that and lock into bonus time. And so the, I think the angels are the American like West blows. So the angels, I give them three years. I think it should be next time they come back, they should be a contender. Make a couple of good moves and all of a sudden, if you actually are trying, you can make the plus. There's four slots you have. You have the division and three wild cards. The bar is to be 500 in the American league. You're a playoff team. You can't get to 500. Come on. It should be the playoffs. And the next time they play baseball, whenever that is 20, 28 or 20, 29 or 20, 30, they should have, they should have a chance to, to be a playoff team, at least be a playoff team. And then,

then, then, I got to think at some point here, they win another championship. And so Stan Kronke, he has been the owner of the Rams. They want to championship, the Nuggets championship, Avalanche and one, the Stanley Cup. And even the Premier League team has won as well. So he's got that going for him. So good for him. And he's not merely art. You look at Arty Maria, how bad he is. We'll get to that in a second. But Stan Kronke, not merely the angels, New owner. It's like an actual adult in the room, which they have not had. It would appear for some time here. And do not be surprised though. If the end game involves a major real estate deal with a spectacular stadium development state of the art with a giant big A like they used to have back in the 1970s in their stadium. And they could do that. And Stan Kronke can fund the whole thing. That's what he did. People don't understand. You can't get any built in California because of the people's republic and the woke politics in California. But Stan Kronke's got so much money.

He just built so far as stadium and with minimal contribution from anyone else, he just put his money together there. And because you look at underneath the baseball romance. Oh, it's baseball. Oh, my God. Still, this is the ultimate rich man's game. It's the ultimate rich man's game when it comes to real estate. And that's what this is about for Stan Kronke. Of course, it also means you're going to have some success on the field. The baseball team attached to the real estate. All right, last word. Let's now go to the better story, which is a losing locker room, the losing locker room. And so the question, how are we going to remember the already marino ownership of the angels? What stands out here? It's going to stand the test of time with already being. Now he's not fully leaving from we understand. You'll still be haunting the angels as a minority owner of the team. If he was an NBA person, they'd say he's a minority governor.

But the baseball people haven't gone full woke yet, like the NBA. So they still call there people that own the team owners. So a minority owner. So here's how I'm going to remember already marino as the majority owner of the angels already was running his own i hop. And he loves serving hotcakes, mistake hotcakes stack them high to the sky mistake after mistake after mistake. Now you've heard of the might as touch. I assume you've heard of the might as touch at some point here. Marino already marino had the satum touch. And it's really fascinating to see how this all played out over the years with the angels. Everything baseball related that this guy touched turned upside down inside out and completely backwards. It's fascinating. They signed Josh Hamilton, which would not have been a problem if he hadn't had a coke problem and not Coca-Cola. Okay, so that's one thing. Albert Poohoes arrived with much fanfare in Anaheim, which would have

been a great move. The gold standard with the St. Louis Cardinals Prince Albert. And unfortunately, they didn't check to find print his warranty had expired by the time he touched down at the big A, which seemed to be a bit of a problem. Then you have the cremde la crem, the Mona Lisa, Anthony Rendon, who had the double whammy. Not only did he seem to hate baseball, he seemed to hate fun. And he signed them because he played well for a month for the nationals and they won the world series. So they gave him this ridiculous contract to a guy who didn't like baseball, didn't want to play on the West Coast. All the boxes you don't want checked, he checked. And so it's almost impossible to think about that three in a row free agent signing. And then also the fact the angels had two of this generation's greatest players, Mike Trout and Shohei Otani together for years and couldn't win anything. They didn't even get Bupkis, the angels with those two guys on the team.

And already also had the gift for Gab. I'm going to remember this one of my favorite quotes since I've been doing talk radio from an owner was already marino just this year. And it was just great. Remember already talked about the fans in Anaheim and he said the angel fans don't care about winning. It's rather odd that an owner would say the fan base doesn't care about winning. But he said the real housewives of Orange County, the moms of Orange County, they just want cheap tickets. They want affordable snacks at the ballpark and they want a safe place for their kids to watch baseball. They don't care about winning. Seems like an odd position to take, but already said it. We're glad he did. It gave a great quote. However, my favorite arti marino story, my favorite story about arti marino was how thin skinned he was. Now the angels haven't gotten much media coverage. They always complained about that even when I was around there a lot back in the day. We're not getting the proper amount of attention and the bitch and moan and all that stuff. So far. Well, there was a guy named TJ

Simer's the late great TJ Simer's booza buddy of mine and TJ was a rabble rouser columnist like a real column. There's a lot of soft columnist now that don't really hold anyone accountable and they go, he wasn't like that. He was an A hole and he leaned into his inner A hole and he would say things that were accurate, but generally in polite society, you don't say these things and he'd rip the angels all the time. And he took some shots at arti marino TJ Simer's in the newspaper. I guess one too many times. I say that because arti decided to punish TJ and not just TJ Simer's the entire media contingent by moving the main press box where the baseball media sit from the standard position behind home plate to above the right field foul pole. You're literally closer to the pearly gates than you are home plate. You can't even see home plate without needing some kind of neck massage to turn your neck. And boy, let me tell you something boy did that work out wonderfully

for the angels who went from partially invisible to fully invisible for the LA media who did not make the trip down there because you were better off. If you're going to cover the angels, you're better off just watching from the good year blimp and looking down you had a better view from the good year blimp unobstructed. And of course the ultimate punchline is arti wins. Arti wins owning a major sports franchise is an idiot proof piggy bank on steroids. It just is. And this is more evidence. Arti marino turned a purchase of the team. He bought the team. I see he was terrible alone about the team for 184 million dollars in 2003. He is now selling the team for a four billion valuation that is nearly 22 times the purchase price. What other investment can you have that goes up 22 times in that amount of time, 22 times in 20 24 years or 23 years. So every wrong decision,

the thing you were supposed to do, you're supposed to ziggy's act and you get a four billion dollar pot of gold and you don't even sell the whole team. You're still going to be around there. And you're going to be hanging out. And so it turns out the satum touch, the satum touch finally at the very end became the mightest touch on the way kind of out of town, but he's still going to have a corner office somewhere and it'll still be hiding in the shadows and go boo. He's like the polter guy. She's still going to be hanging out, but Stan Kroki is now the going to be the owner of the angels.
