I ended up in an anew one-neil, but it was a bit of a, you know, Napoli, I've had some good results in recent years, particularly at home. I mean, they've given Liverpool a couple of thrashings in the club era. They had Quartz Kelly playing for them then and I'll see him hand in guys like this. I must say I looked at the team last night. I know it was like there was this kind

13:27of an Indian Premier League vibe to their team. I thought it was like this. This doesn't look too good. But you know, Arsenal, you can only beat what's put in front of you and they smashed them. I mean, XG-wise, I think this was the most in the last five years that any way team has had in the in the Champions League. Obviously they missed most of these chances. But are you as kind of bullish about their general prospects this season as as most as I am, for example, as most people say. I mean, I they're really good. Like they're they're they're worryingly good. They they're still rock solid defensively. Like they can see it so few chances. I know this isn't like it's not a brilliant Napoli team. I don't think and they're managed by Musselin Al-Nuala, I agree, which comes with its own, you know, he's typically a very defensive coach. But still going away to Napoli and just not conceding anything in terms of chances pretty much is is not an easy thing to do under any circumstance, I would say. And it seems like we we're saying we've all noticed that they're more

14:27fun to watch. We've all noticed that they're sending people forward. So Lee says come in and made an impact already. Someone who wasn't very expensive for them. And we can all see these things. But they've done that without so far sacrificing any of that defensive solidity. They're conceding so few chances. And it's it's it's kind of worrying for everyone else. Like I know it's early in the season and getting to this level is one thing, maintaining it for 38 rounds. I guess is different. But it is worrying for everyone else is that they seem to have been able to keep that solidity that they have and added a little bit more going forward. And that is ominous for everyone who's trying to compete with them. Yeah. And you know, they they made Chelsea look, you know, far inferior, I guess, on the weekend. And I suppose if there is going to be any challenge to them, you know, in the at least on a domestic front, well, maybe in the European front as well. Liverpool are one of the clubs that could maybe do that. And this I've been quite dismissive of them.

15:29You know, throughout the summer and in the first couple of weeks in the season. But I don't if you caught any of their game against Alec, I like to see. To me that they were this is on the best performances they've given in a while. They were showing a couple of dimensions that I think have been missing for a while. One of them being the defensive solidity. It's slightly different from Liverpool because the style of play is so different, you know, you know, to to Arsenal's particularly with their Aula. It is quite adventurous, let's say. But the inclusion of Ronald Aurojo as opposed to a fallback like Frempa. I think it makes a big difference. You can you can sort of see when you when you when you include a player like that. So the difference this can make to have secured fields kind of helps to explain why Mickal Arteta and Pep Guardiola have in recent years had this punch on for why what about if I played this massive sender half as a fallback?

16:29I wouldn't be such a bad idea. Yeah. There's a thing to be said for having an actual defender at fallback. I think Frempa was an exciting player but he's not a fallback like he will he played when he was very good for levacus and he played as like a particularly attack minded wingback. I think I don't know what his future at Liverpool is. I think he's good enough to find a position there but I don't think it's that fallback in a sort of traditional back for. And that adds some solidity. I would just say what the caveat of that is I think the goal they conceded was a little like having conceded to very slightly ridiculous counter attacking goals on the opening day of the season. I think we are looking a little bit at Irola's insistess on keeping quite a high line and playing quite chaotic in direct football does that leave them vulnerable to the counter. I kind of think it does and the sort of simplicity with which at least go just went over the top of their defensive line and scored like it was kind of it's a little bit worrying you don't love to see that. But there were good signs apart from that in the game I thought and I think we're seeing already that Barca is adding something very useful here with his sort of very sort of direct running.

17:36He didn't score but that chance that Florian Vert set up for him is kind of exactly when they were linked with Liverpool like that was the chance my brain was like oh this is going to happen because because very very very I share your frustrations over his first season at Liverpool but I am a Florian Verts truth or I believe in him. So the year when you say truth or in the sense you think he's good rather than discussed. I think it's brilliant. I think I'm on this sort of when I hear English journalists dissim for not looking good enough I go into sort of Ferguson from Sebastian Veron more mentally. That's where my brain goes when I hear the good and great of Fleet Street dismiss Florian Verts but I could be wrong like it's possible that he will never adjust to the slightly more robust and rumbunxious physical style of the Premier League like this could happen but but he's clearly extremely technically gifted he has a lot of vision like there's a lot of good stuff there and I think you will unleash that more if he has more players who are making runs ahead of him again bring it back to the other go thing if you want to be that creator that job

18:40becomes a heck of a lot easier when people are actually making forward runs out of you and you see the sort of move that him and Barca la cooks up there I know Barca la misses the chance but that is that's a good blueprint for me I think that's that exact connection if you take and get that going is going to cause trouble for a lot of opponents and of course Alex Andre is actually showing signs of life as well there is like they've spent enough of a money on these three dudes like you want them to to be good but I think there is the the making some of a really scary front three there if they can like keep working on that connection yeah there was a move in there in the first half as well where in which Verutz the girl keeps say oh black safe they put in fact it would have been offside but it was a similar type of sweeping move which showed maybe the potential of this combination McAllister scored a good goal as well he had kind of made waves during the week oh it makes me very sad I saw I saw Gravenberg and saw this like get their new contracts but there was known for me this makes me very very sad but I can assure the fans I will give my all until my last

19:44day here at the club and the last day here at the club is scheduled to be well he's taking in he's taking down on the he's got two years well less than two years now remaining on his contract seems to me like these guys the repul love losing players on free transfers yeah I can kind of see both sides of this in the sense that McAllister turns 28 later this year so he's got yeah if you put him on like another four-year deal or something you have another guy who's probably going to age age out a little bit age out of his of the stage where he is useful for for Liverpool or is the player that they need him to be and he'll get to a point where you can sell him for for good fee there so they are conscious of not wanting the squad to grow all together and maybe holding off from giving him a contract reflects a certain anxiety about that and some of the transfer moves they made but still he's a Premier League winner with Liverpool he's entitled to to fight his corner in this as well and make the point that you know it's kind of normal to give them a new contract

21:50maybe we do have too many of these sort of technical guys and we actually need more athletes and again handing you a massive like four-year deal to a guy who's turning 28 and who isn't exactly what they think they need more of might be something they don't feel super comfortable doing I mean I'm I'm I'm pulling this completely out of thin air again but that there's a bit of logic to that I think yeah yeah fair enough but one thing just lastly on this that year I'll have been interested in in his first few weeks is a ruthlessness of which he treated Ryan Gravenberg after his terrible mistakes in the first match yes newcastle and I thought that was he but he he reappeared finally last night and and played a played about 25 minutes 25 knock right minutes in front of his new national team manager Chavie who which are how delighted he would have been actually with any of the Dutch who there's not game from one came on as well I'm not sure how interested Chavie will be in putting him straight into the team but what this shows is with Irole I mean Gravenberg
