1:06Hummus here once know, is this a deep, deep, deep, defensive tackle group they've had in a long time? I mean, I don't know that there's, we'll see. I think I'm very, very high on John Walker had a really good game last week. Will Smith has been a really steady role player for a few years. You saw something out of Jason Moore last week that you hadn't seen. I think it's ball state and it's the second half, but. I feel like they have. Four that they feel very good about feels like Jason Moore's trending towards someone they feel good about. And then you've got like Demari Simian, who is someone you don't need right now. But it feels like he's someone that's sort of trending towards a freshman that can probably play. Five, 10 snaps for them later in the season. Yeah, I mean, yet for the Chilok, good about last season. I think clearly got for the Chilok, good about this year and Jason Moore. Is it's interesting that we did see him look a little solid, right? We've never seen that before.

2:07Wasn't getting blown off his spot. He actually made a play with, I mean, it was unblocked, but he made a play. And that was great to see, but Demari trending up. Should you need that? I think that definitely he's going to be ready middle of the season. He's already looking like he's ready, put on a ton of weight over the summer. One of, I would say like the guy that impressed me most over the summer, or the winter and summer workouts, the weight gain, the mass that he put on. He was the most impressive from before to after that I saw. So that's exciting right there because he's kind of the future of those three guys. With the manual rough and in Jameer Perez that feels like the playmaker of the three. And which side Jameer Perez makes in place early in camp, clapsing the line. But Simi has got to sit out and spring a little bit and then also in fall camp. And when Ryan Day mentioned to him as the sixth guy, that's also something. But also one defensive tackling. Guys have not mentioned is Carrie Wilder who is a defensive end plays on the inside and passing down. And I think that also factors into it in terms of that that bolsters the depth.

3:10Without you know spreading it to dead and. We'll see how much I think Jason world played this week because Jarco is caught or played last last year in Texas because it's similar heat as well. So it's like. We'll learn about the depth. But I think some of the guys that play this game on this day we play like say at USC or something like that or Oregon. Is the depth here is it's about being trusted, but also it's about the weather and just needing. A few snaps to get some guys out and get them you know some some dress or some water or whatever to cool them down. But they've got four or five guys and then you know, Carrie Wilder steals some snaps in there. But like last year they had four guys and. And they're accused there and the year before they had like four guys that they trusted and. And they're accused and came back down over two of them. So it's still a young guys. Two years ago when I was tired of telling Williams who had like all of the snaps in the post season. And I want to ask Jacque about Carrie Wilder.

4:12There's Carrie Wilder right there from last week. All right well, I'll grab. Oh, you were on Carrie Wilder. Like day one spring campus this spring practice this year. This has been a year and a half. Well, I know what I mean like the first time we saw him in person, you were just kind of like, all my chips right right in the middle of the table. What I mean, he's a five star. So this is not like you're you're calling your shot on some guy who is clear. He was a three star when he committed when I was falling in love with that. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This is you know a little like, you know, Jackson's been a jade, but when he was a commit and it was like, who wise or I'm heartless, taking a commit from this guy. But he was he ended up a five star. So this was not like you were the only person who saw some talent here. It's like you first practice. You were just kind of like, nope, chips in Tom. So much of this is mentality. I've talked to this kid for, you know, throughout the process, the recruiting process.

5:12He is an animal and all he cares about is being great at football. And when you combine that with the physical gifts that you can clearly see. When that first practice, we saw these guys going from drill to drill. Nobody was running, but him the way he was running when they were lining up in their stances. Nobody was as serious for every single thing. Looking back at the cups, looking, I mean, it was like this is this dude's on right now. Like this is happening this year. And this is no surprise whatsoever that he is looking at intense and game one of his career. I think this guy is, you know, I'm saying for a while, he's going to be the next great one. I'm going to have state defensive live and I cannot wait to see this. And he's going to explode. I mean, the dude is so strong. He's so fast. You know, physically when we look at him compared to a guy who is on grady, you know, just physically. Carries can walked in a more physically imposing specimen as far as the athletic gifts. Carries got him in every area. And I think Zion's a really good player, right?

6:13No knock on him whatsoever. But I think this dude just brings a different element to this book. I see defensive line. And the more that he plays. Well, let's look at it this way. If he makes a couple of big plays against Texas, it like gets on and pop in for this year, right? Well, you're if he makes a couple of big plays against Texas, this goes back to James Lauren, right? It's in 2006. James Lauren, right? Since 2006, Brent Mossburg is on the call. James Lauren, right? It's comes out that he was he had played like a little bit at the very end of the previous year. Bobby Carver, the broker's leg in the mission game. And so it's Lauren, right? It's comes out and doesn't do much for the plays in the Michigan game. And so everyone kind of knows this name. And the next year they're playing Texas. I think that was also week two down here. And that was number one versus number two. And he had a big game. And Brent Mossburg blew him up. And it was just like, and then he was in all America. And that was it. Like, that's it. Like it feels like if Corey Wilder and you look at the picture on the screen. This is a different one from last week. You know, that's that's basically the point of view of the quarterback.

7:13And I look at that picture. I look at the look at his face. And that's that's the moment where I'm in the quarterback's head. And I'm going, I'm ready to go pro and something other than sports. Like, thank you. Like, but if he has a big game here, let me talk about this with a lot of guys, Devon Sanchez. Oh, you know, have a big game here. And you're two thirds the way to being in all American because the whole nation's watching this game. As Brent Mossburger named Matt Wall, the Kaiser, big cat, little animal. Like, was that was that was that was. Other people had already all the best. So you brought that on. But I hear it in Brent's voice. But I hear a lot of friends. That's basically my inner monologue is Brent Mossburger. If it's not Keith Jackson talking in my head. Oh, Dr. need to move along. Um, Carri Wilder. The first thing that I remember is. When during recruiting and after he signed it's like, well, is he going to be a defensive tackle? Is he going to be a defensive one? Is he going to grow into defensive tackle? Because he's already like listed it like 270 pounds under recruiting stats, right? Like 265 or whatever. You see him at the first time in spring.

8:14It's like that is 100% of defense event because he was slimmer than I expected. He know. Yeah. And it's like, there's no way this guy is a defensive tackle. This guy is a monster. And then we see what he does in this game playing defensive tackle. But you know, as the freshman Larry Johnson loves having those big defensive ends playing the only interior like that in past our situations. But if we start seeing him more outside as well, that tells you another thing. Like, yes, he is the guy in this freshman package, a speed package that they call it. But if he's also now like, how you know, let's just get him some snaps outside as well. Larry Johnson always talks about with the freshman. I want to put them in position to succeed. Being a past Russian defensive tackle against the guard is position 268. Now if he's gone beyond that is like, all right, let's because he played some obviously played some defensive and against Texas state as well. But if he does, if he's brought you from the outside of this game, some wouldn't shock me, but it also tells you more than.

9:15He's more than just this package guy. He's an option that they can use that they believe in. And I asked, I can get a Jackson about it about. Carri Wally, like, when did you know that he was going to be able to have an impact? He said from day one. His energy from day one and camp. It was just like, it was just like, oof. It's like, that's a good explanation. Yeah, you're right. It's complimentary. It was just like, oof, you're going to be a really good player for sure. And he showed it on Saturday's first game of the shoe. I called to speedbag. It's and he did what he did. So he's got a build on it. And then I said, does he remind you of anybody you've played with here? Said, no, I think he's in his own category. He's going to be a real good player here for sure. And it's always interesting when you see a player like search for a cop. And they're like, you know, 404 error. There is no cop. He's his own guy. And yeah, the future obviously very, very bright. And I think when it's all said done, this freshman class is going to be up there with a 2021 class with the legacy that they left the 2017 class.

10:18Also very, very good. But these guys may be doing it as true freshman, rather than you know building upon it. I think whether it's probably wild or especially. It's not going to shock any of us. If he's getting after archbishop and bringing it home. Well, and what's interesting is you have. This kind of an impact from a true freshman class. This isn't the defensive end class that we're looking at. Oh, these folks look at the defensive. That's next year. That's the 2027 class. That's, I mean, let's start turn to our recruiting insider, Jack Milletti from Bucket Insiders.com. Jack, tell people it's coming in 2027. Well, you've got two bonafide five stars. One of them, the number one player in the country. And then in addition to that with Wyatt Smith out of St Thomas Aquian is currently a top 50 player in the country. All he needs to get to is number 32. And you've been saying you've been projecting him as a five star for a long time. Yes, I do believe he will get that he's gone up from 150. And in his game last Saturday, guys, he had 12 tackles for loss and four sex against a top 10 team in the country.

11:23I don't know a lot about football. It sounds like a lot, but I'm familiar unfamiliar with your American. So, yeah, DJ, was he causing you to spend two lightsmith is an unbelievable package. If you can get that to the finish line. And now you added into Carri Wilder and we've not even gotten to see much of Dre Quinn, who's also looking like a guy that if he was not grouped with all these other guys, we'd be saying, hey, look at this guy. So, it's just a total change of the look of that position and investment into that position where it's like, all right, we want to we want to build this championship defensive line. We want to build this from here. And I think it's a great allocation of the funds. It's where I think all championship teams have a dominant defensive line and it's just got to happen. So, unbelievable. And Larry has been telling them all he's around for five more years. And I'm sure everyone rolls their eyes like, oh, come on, he can't. People were asking these same questions when Joey Bosa was on camera.

12:24Oh, come on. Larry's not going to be there for the end of your career. Nick Bosa heard the same things. Zach Harris and heard the same thing. And he's moving better. Look at better. Yeah.
