1:01We have no idea if this is a good red zone team. Wouldn't that be a little jet sweep action with him throwing the ball to say, Ben, a Christian or somebody breaking into the end zone? Is that an easy touchdown? Is that a two point conversion play? Yeah, that's a good two point convert. Call it the triple overtime. The 40 special for the 40 acres? The fact that this is not only the third game, the third year in a row when Ohio State's playing Texas, which is bizarre to think of how it's played outside of Michigan.

2:05Maybe that's it. Texas, but no, no, but in terms of like the last three years, I don't know that. Well, yeah, but I'm just about the last three years 24 2526. I guess they played Oregon twice two years ago and then they're going to play again this year. So Michigan and Oregon, they will have played three years in a row. Maybe Indiana, they played Indiana twice, right? Or once last year, once the year before and they play him this year. So, but outside of like a couple big 10 teams Texas is Texas is basically a big 10 team for Ohio State's purposes. The fact that they could beat them three in a row. That would be. That would be really psychically damaging, I think, to the Texas Longorns, where this is a year where they've put a lot of resources into this team. And it feels like this is a hump that they have to get over. It's also coincided with, you know, the resurrection of the program when, you know, the first couple of matchups were when they were on top of the world. And now they're back on top couple of semifinals.

3:08And for Ohio State to be able to beat them this year with their best squad they've put together with all the, I mean, the way of the world feels like it's on Sarcasing. He looks gone. He's lost weight. He's not a chubby guy, but he looks even skinnier. It feels like some serious pressure on them. And if I'm a Texas fan coming away losing this one again at home at night with everything that they gave him, which was everything that he asked for in recruiting in the portal. I mean, everything that he asked for loaded. They're the ones this year, you know, we talk about the games. The game last year, the advantages of Ohio State had with the super elite talent and not having seen Matt Patricia, the home field advantage. Texas has all of those this year. There's really no excuse for them not to pull out a win in this game. And it would be very devastating to that program, I think, and it really could spiral because they got one heck of a schedule. Look, last year with our Valarice, like you knew a little bit about it, but everybody knew about him after that game.

4:09And the draft people loved him and Archmaning got to know him very, very well. Right in my outsize that opportunity to do that. The college football people know him, but like the regular people watching are going to be like, who the heck is this guy? Possibly, especially him and Colin Simmons being together, maybe working off of each other could be. Could be the difference, I think, in this game, even though I've. We will we've made our picks. Yeah. We'll get to those later. I think it's interesting though, it feels like you've had linebackers become stars in this game. I mean, it was that was kind of one of the AJ Hawk games in 2005. It was James Laurenidas in 2006. It was our Val Reese last year. So, you know, does this become is it, is it reying Biles or is this the Christian Allegro game or is this the T.J. Alfred game or the Peyton Pierce game, whatever. Andrew Sweatner right here from 2008 is horrific. I'm talking about regular season. So, just focus on a regular season.

5:10That's the fun thing about this one. It's this early in the season. There's the opportunity for somebody to be that guy that just blows up and everybody knows and I'm wondering. You guys to tell your thoughts in the comments like, who do you think that could be or who do you think it will be? I'm guessing it's a very confident, Ohio State fan base right now in the chat. So, who do you think is going to be like out of the blue a little bit and become a guy because like what a shock if it's T.J. Alfred with a shock you if it's rally penny John like we saw T.J. Alfred was the defense player of the game last week. I think it'd be good for a high state of its pace. Yes, just to get that thing going. And I've seen some Texas fans in the chat as well. Who do we not know about who are we not talking about who are we going to who are we not talking like now that we're going to be talking about on our post game show Saturday night one way or another. Because I you know, I feel like we've. We've watched we watched the first game. We have a decent sense for who the you know key key players to know are. But sometimes there's you know, hey, Jacobi Jackson we were we weren't talking about Jacobi action much before the ball state game and then boom Jacobi Jackson puts together really nice day for Ohio State.

6:18We got a super check from Mike for you know how's it going. I feel weirdly confident in this game. I'm normally worried about these matchup games. But I just feel really really confident and it's not like I don't see a path to Texas winning. Just don't think it will happen. What do you guys think that confidence is it for me the reason I think Ohio State has a really good chance of Julian saying. How much of it is also Sark having trouble in these games kind of like dabbo or whatever where it's just like until they do it. I'm just going to assume that it's not going to happen. There's a bit of that for me with Sark for sure and it's something that I felt for a while. He's made some I don't know the red zone stuff that he's done in this game. It's just not. I feel like he's choked up. Of course he's not great there anyway statistically. But I'm kind of with you Tony with Julian saying. I think that we are potentially about to see a game that kind of starts a front runner Heisman campaign here. The way he looked the other day the way we've seen him throughout the off season. It just feels different than last year which was so elite and Ryan Day talking about his release getting quicker and even more accurate.

7:27I thought that's how ridiculous and it really did look like that. Minus I was saying to myself the first possession and then realize later on watching the video that that was actually Jeremiah broke off the route the one that he got bailed out there. So it was almost a flawless game. A perfect 158.3 pass or rating. I mean I don't care if you're playing against it. It's ridiculous. Yeah he was Julian saying was 21 of 25 week wanting a spall state had two incomplete passes on the first drive. So he's 21 for 23 the rest of the game. One of the passes hit Bo Jackson in the hands on the goal line and just he and catch it. And the other one hit Chris Henry in the hands on the goal line and the defender kind of got his arm on Chris Henry's arm and kind of knocked it away. But it was 21 completed passes and two balls to hit receivers directly. And you had to miscommunication with Jeremiah and then also the Devon and the Q and thing was just that was you throw it up for him. And it was maybe a yard over it over his head. It's like yeah that's that's pretty accurate day.

8:31I think time you're going to have to dig out your photo of of Julian from spring of 25 when the light is shining down. And then what do you want to do in the what do you wear it's like some show between that and it was just like that's the guy I like I think you made me to pick that one back guy. And this is an opportunity for him to just shape the next part of his story because it did not end well last year for him. And Ohio State for some Ohio State fans are like you know it's a time for table you know you need time to move on because you know you're limited. But I think and tell him wrong about this and I may be here in two days talking about it, but I think he is the difference in this game and his accuracy at his comfort level. His understanding of the offense, the weaponization of the cadence and the timing and the tempo and all of that thing, all of those things. I think make him a better guy better quarterback better equips into attack any kind of defense, but also it's going to be fascinating to see him try to handle this true or false.

9:34The winning quarterback has a 95% chance of being in New York for the highest in ceremony the winning quarterback of this game true. Yeah true. Yeah. Because I and I think because you know we're talking about this as this can be Julian saying making a statement and showing people that the last season was not you know the end of last season wasn't hit. You know you could say many of the same words about archmaning and you could say many of the same words about the Texas receiver core this year because last year Ohio State had a decided advantage in the receiving core. And it wasn't like Ohio State had a great receiving core beyond the top two last year, but the top two was so good. This year I think Ohio State's receiving course very good with the top two, but also pretty good, pretty deep and get the better receiving core for Ohio State this year, but holy smokes you take Ryan Wingo and then you add Cam Coleman to him and mostly is I mean mostly is no no slouch. They have a really really good top three wide receivers. This is the best wide receiver core Ohio State has faced since.

10:40Better than Miami last year, I would say probably better than Indiana last year. Probably. It's really good. It's really good. I'm going back to like 2024 Oregon when it was like Evan Stewart like you don't face that many like really really insanely talented wide receiver cores in the big 10 like there's you're getting a lot of Purdue and the monitors at times in the big 10 and a lot of Wisconsin and you know even some of the good teams don't have elite wide receiver play. That that to me is between archmaning and the wide receivers this I think, Chuck is going to be a substantial challenge for that secondary no doubt no doubt. You know, Jermaine looking really good in week one, Devon Sanchez with the challenge that he sat there and remember over the over the free season in his interview session named off all the guys he's going against by name.

11:41Now it's time at home and really his first huge test in his home state and that storyline is going to be something to follow. If if he does real well, I mean it's just confidence meter off the charts moving forward because this won't be the only insane receiving room he sees that Oregon one is pretty lethal as well. He mentioned two guys more again. It's going through the names of players. But yeah, we think we know about the Ohio State corners, but we're really going to know and certainly going to know a lot more about Devon Sanchez who is the most confident player on the team because one he's he's a corner. So he has to be but you know, this is also a big game for Jermaine Matthews who gave up some catches last week has been kind of diminished in the eyes of a lot of people for some of the catches against it. Indiana and so this is an opportunity for him to shut people up and he had the interception against arch last year. He had a good game there, but also gave up the touchdown and I'm a heck of a reception and that was good converging and those guys.

12:47There's a lot of pressure on him because those are two NFL receivers are going to be going against the rain. We go as fast as that can can't call this. It's got to catch radius. You know, of a smaller Jeremiah Smith, if you will, but then also Jay Timins dealing with the legit slot receiver in this one is going to be a test. We're going to see the real room. We're going to see what Jay Timins is like right now in terms of. I mean, he makes a lot of plays in practice. Now you're going to see it one way or the other and is this game too big for him. Nothing suggests and I see you smile. I like not it suggests that anything is too big for him, which is crazy for a freshman, but I don't think he's a normal freshman. I agree not a normal freshman. This moment is huge personality wise if there's anybody who's going to be unfazed by the moment. It's this dude and he's just different and if he come out of here relatively unscathed when we talk about giving up making stupid plays giving up a couple of big chunk yarders plays off of some errors.

13:49I think that it's just going to be a really solid to good day. And if he makes a bad play and probably make a great one to make up for it. I feel good about that one. It's germane is the situation that kind of gives me a little bit of pause. That's only because we've seen him, you know, give us some plays where you're like, but he could potentially kind of resurrect his reputation with a lot of people are down on him with a really solid one here because they've all got incredible matchups. Incredible matchups, difficult matchups each one of them. Do you think because it's some time now we're talking about do you think there is a third corner involved because I think in J Tim is might be the third corner. That's your never mind. Yeah, like instead of camp cold or camp, you're going to see J James plays some outside, which he did last week. So I think they'll rotate that way in order to keep guys as fresh as they can, but also like J Tim is working outside against these two guys is a huge task as well because the outside guys are better than the inside. And I don't know like he's played. He has played a college game now. He has college game under his belt. I don't know that he has any experience against any kind of a guy. I mean, like it was just kind of like yes, you were there.

15:02They were really not ever tested downfield. There were a couple shots downfield one on like a double refer to leaf flicker where there was a guy open, but it was like Matthews, I think was the guy who was closest, but it was just kind of someone who got lost in coverage and then they overshot him. There's one deep shot to Kim Calhoun. That was kind of it all week last week. They just didn't want to throw the ball. So I feel like this, the whole of high state secondary, I am exactly where I was before the season. I feel like there's a lot of reasons being courage and there's a lot of reasons to think this is going to be a good secondary. I don't know that I learned anything one way or the other last week. Totally with you on that. My notes from the secondary after the game were empty. Yeah, just like, yeah, I don't know. And before we get to the superchallic, we'll see the real Earl Little this week as well. We have no idea what that looks like in terms of as he just going to be a strong safety and help out. Is he going to attack?

16:04I guess he was on the ladder scrimmage, maybe once in the Texas State game, but where is he going to be? He has to be a guy that artsmaning is asking the same question. Where is he? What's he there for? What's he doing? And why is he looking at me like that? We had so much so many expectations for him before before spring and after the spring. He's going to be this weaponized nickel and then you get to fall camp and it's like, oh, he's just a strong safety. But it's like, is he just like is that diminishing him to say he's just this because we don't know. We know he was the Florida state defense player of the year. Think of that once you will, but he was second team all the ACC think of that once you will.
