Nationwide is so much more than a great insurance company. They're one of America's largest financial services companies, just like I'm so much more than quarterback Peyton Manning. I'm also Peyton Manning. Insurance and financial services together? It's a masterpiece. Peyton Manning does it again. For your insurance and financial needs, Nationwide is on your side. Nationwide Investment Services Corporation and Bafin Raq Kalamazoo Hyal. This is the DPA TRO and Rothenburg podcast. Let the wild rumpus begin. Catch us live weekday mornings from 6 to 10 a.m. on ESPN, New York. The MSG network and streaming live on YouTube. This is DPA TRO and Rothenburg. Herbert Balls. Herbert Balls. He says, today's the opening day of football. You guys need to touch on that. You can't. Tennis, segment opens. Rick Food. Weight loss. I'm a brand new listener at MSG. You've now lost your stardom. Come on, Rick.

Don't quit yet. I want to think they'll turn her fiat. Spards! That's it. Get it to the spards! That you get it back. He's back now. This is DPA TRO and Rothenburg. You are. What? Indity it. Maybe. On ESPN, New York. The MSG network. And streaming live on YouTube. All right. DNR with you ESPN, New York. What's the matter? I don't want to get too deep into tennis, but did you notice the wardrobe change that Alcharez made as the open went on? Now he's gone because she won't let us play. I noticed that his nipples were... Well, but that was the big conversation. Was that the nipples were always out. Right. Now he's... He was not understretched. I did notice that. Apparently, and it was driving the women crazy. Really? They loved it. Yeah. He took a shirt off. The cameras were all out. Sure. Yeah. I didn't see that either. Into a towel. Because we didn't... Right. Because it was on him. Three fucking middle of the night.

Right. You know what I feel? We're going to the jets in a second. I feel like you should be more excited today. Because of the football? Yes. Yeah. Now I'm excited. No, not. I don't feel like you're maxed out excited today. I'm still in football, right? I'm still not really used to the whole Wednesday thing. It's used to it or not. Yeah. Days of football day. It is a football day, but, you know, I'm with a lot of people. For football, I was waiting for that. I'm in the same boat with a lot of people were. Yes, I appreciate that it's a Super Bowl rematch, but I just... It's hard to get hyped up for page 2. I read it. I read it. I need a reason to be invested for the game. I can't just be excited because football... So, I got it in college. I got it in college football. I'm already in on night. It's two weeks in. It's for tonight. They kick off the game. You're not going to be like, football. There'll be a sense of relaxation as I settle it on the couch. Like, you know, we're here finally. I can take a breath. It's for all season. You're going to set your fantasy line up to do whatever you want. No, I meant that in a nice way. Like, it's just you.

Like, you know, you have no disruptions. You have nothing else to worry about. It's just you and football and like, whatever you want to do to maybe ease the tension before football. Speaking of his set of fantasy lineups, did you make that move that you were? Well, no, because I have two, because I have two things I want to do. And I want to make sure that we do the right thing. It's just like this. I'm going to talk about this. I like it. I just wanted to make sure you're out. I just wanted to make sure you comfortable with the player that we would drop. I don't have a big attachment. Okay. Well, why can't you say that? But like, if you told us we might drop, who I want you to talk about? Well, he picked up a backup quarterback. I don't honestly think we need a backup quarterback. Okay. And then we're back up quarterback. Kyle Murray. All right. We got Lamarza starter. I think there's a couple moves that we could make or a single move to solidify something that we need. I just don't want to make that move on my own. I think that's fair. But I don't think you guys need to dance around it. Like, no, it's our thing. Okay. Listen, don't be jealous. I have a co-manager. Are you guys doing the, um, the guillotine league through work? I got back in it. I'm out.

I didn't see you in the draft. You're taking on more. You know what the concern is? I can't. I can't. I mean, you know what I mean? League's not in. Stress is not good for his condition. Yeah. That's true. You know what the concern is? I'll hold my follow. That's the star. That's the star. I really have. So your butthole does not fall out. It's important to have your performance inside out. My inace is fine. You know what the concern is with the Easter? Oh my. It's almost, it's almost friends that you can say anus. You can. Yeah. Oh my. I didn't say you couldn't. And he's not like George the K home. All right. No, it's unnecessary. What you can say. It's almost like two friends that start dating. Because like, what if, what if the fantasy of relationships, or if they just don't see the roster the same way? It's a sympathetic point. So that's why we have to communicate. Rick has proven hours before a draft in the middle of the night. in the middle of the night, if you're the co-manager, you might just be out. And you find out. His partner is probably like, all right, I went on the draft, there's gonna be all of a sudden, he's like, wait, we're, I was open to the league. Stop. That was self-inflicted or not. You couldn't give him a heads up. Under current circumstances, sir, I don't think we can continue our relationship.

I'm not allowed to be in touch. You could have sent them a, through the website. I can't. Okay. So just said, listen, you and I, we're done. I'm moving on. I forget Raymond. Who I share the cloud with. All of a sudden, that gets, someone sees that and now I'm in trouble. So what, I mean, I don't need that. What if like next year, we're sitting here around this time and raise like, wow, I really loved having, I wonder if you want his own team? Or, or, or we didn't even think about that. What if Ray, like week 11, the fix kind of pulls you aside is like, yeah, Rick. Be like, great. Not great. I'll be, my turn to the Robert Salah. He's like, Dave, I gotta tell you, Rick, you don't, you don't want to be partners. You gotta get me out there. It's, it's not good. I'll be like, Al Pacino at the end of any given Sunday. And I've decided to take my talents to the expansion team. Yeah. Yeah. This has to work. I, I mean, it would be surprising we didn't have some semblance of success, right? They're terrible. I don't think we talked about the jets and giants. What, what would make for successful season for them? 899193776. What, what would you say? How many regular season games are there?

Do you guys need to be a playoff team? There's 13 regular season teams. Yeah. I think so. So, that's the, they have to be seven and six. So at a minimum, they have to get into the postseason. There's what 12 teams in the league, six make it. Yeah. So you have to be top half the league. You gotta give yourself a chance. I think it's doable. I think they get to seven wins and even if they miss out, that's a, that's a, that's a, so anything short of a postseason appearance is a fail. Yeah. I just think that, I mean, for us, the priority now is communication with a new partnership. I think we gotta communicate. We gotta be on the same page. I'm not just gonna go like, Willie Nilly make a move. Well, it's easy to communicate. You see him every day. I just text him. Yeah. Yeah. I can go sideways though. I disagree. I don't want to do this to us. I didn't do any. They wanted you in. I didn't do anything. And now the target break us apart. This is what peer pressure does. Yeah. That's what this league does. This is not a league for the, for the fainting part. You wanted a man he's in. And he drafted the team. Give it a hope we don't win. Try to play mine. Oh, we win. Oh, we win. Oh, we win. Oh, if we win. As I said, though, oh my god, I will. Look, he's in the cat bird seat. I'm gonna take a junk up.

He said he said he said it out beautifully. Because if it works, I'm a genius. I finally got ready. That's not why I was on the ice. If it doesn't work, Ray will go the way. I like that draft. If it doesn't work, no, who's the person that's for a minute, I actually like drafting. I did some mock drafts this year. I like a mocked right? Yeah. I did some practice draft. If it doesn't work, even if it's not raceful, it's a win for me too, though. Jefferson, Jefferson will be out there. I'll excited to be like Rick just asked me to be his partner. Yeah. And Ray's gonna pull them to the corner and be like, listen, you don't know what you get yourself into. That's a real mistake. I'm an excellent partner. Excellent. Okay. Well, say, he has a 25 years. 25 years not married. 20 years dating. He has a marriage, yeah. That's pretty good. Pretty good. That's pretty good. Pretty good. Well, I mean, what are the alternatives? You're gonna get five years. I don't have to be proud. I'm just saying I have to be pretty good at it. Not necessarily. 25 years. No. Why do you want me? You just have to be, don't want change. But she could want change.

Yeah. Yeah. What do you mean? I think you're probably a decent husband. Decent? I'm not going to be the nastiest thing you ever said to me. Oh, so decent husband. Stop it. I think you're a good husband. I mean, I think you're a good husband. No, now I'm a good husband. No, I think you're a good husband. You're a bad guy. How am I a bad guy? You're a bad guy. But you say, I'd say you're a good husband. I would probably be a great husband. You're a lot of people that are not happy. But you actually just a lot of relationships in the last 25 years. There's a lot of marriages in the last 25 years. Hmm. I mean, half the marriages don't work period. Okay. And then half they'll be higher than that. No, I don't think so. I'm supposed to divorce right now. It's got to be higher. I think it's like 50, 50. You're doing great. Keep it up. What I keep continued success to you and your family. Amazing. All right. So for you, Jets, successful season is fill in the blank. Cool. It's kind of a loaded question. No, no. If I'm being realistic, well, I got Sam from Garrel Wilson. But you know that's not. But you know that's not true. No, no, stop. But no, no, that's that's that's all right.

So here's Garrel Wilson. You want to answer the question fine. No, I'm not going to answer the question. You get what is it? You didn't read the rundown. Garret, you didn't read the rundown. No, what are the percent? What are the Jets? Six percent. The higher, six and a half percent. Stop it. I saw it. Six and a half. I saw it. It's a stop it. Stop it. What do you mean, stop it? RJ, did I not prove that I read the rundown by him, him throwing a question to me and me having the right number? You did and I'm impressed. It was right. It wasn't the right. RJ was right. But you're so dismissive of the rundown. But I glanced. It was it. I glanced. I glanced. It's like when I walk by from you, I'll take a glance. Okay. I glanced. I'll take that. I saw it was six, six and a half, whatever, to get into the postseason. Yeah, I don't think that's realistic. I mean, it's not. So to say it, yeah, we all say it. I mean, I would go into the season, look around the locker room and be like, oh, yeah, we could be a playoff team. And then the season starts and you're like, hmm, probably don't breasten me that one a little bit. Yeah. So Garret Wilson is not that a lot of winning here as a jet or any. Here's Garret Wilson, what a successful season looks like.

I play awesome. I know that about it. Play awesome. And we see the restart and see what happens. Nothing else. All right. So anything short, which is ridiculous, anything to say anything short, if you want to say, I think we have a real chance again. I think that's crazy. Fine. Anything short of a playoff, Bert, does a failure then? Come on. Yeah. I don't know if that's, if that's him being truthful. If that's just, hey, you know, that's, that's the expectation that we're putting on ourselves. And you're speaking to a fan base that hasn't been in the postseason for 15 straight seasons. Yeah, it's nice to hear is that the reality of where they're at, probably not, not probably. I mean, when you look at the division, if the jets are a playoff team, it would be a miracle for two reasons. I mean, a six and a half percent of a sudden, now you make the playoffs. Yeah, that's, I don't think this is a 10 win team. Right. I just don't believe and be, look at, look at the AFC. We went through it a couple weeks ago. How many bad, there's not even that many bad teams. There's like three teams that are not good. Miami, probably the Raiders, the Browns.

Everyone else is a pretty good football team. Competitive. Yeah, competitive. I think that's why we'd be good. I think that's why we'd want to so interesting. Outside of just like the, the New York part of it with Salah and Dable and then a bunch of the jets and giants that ended up in Tennessee is more like you feel like outside of Tennessee knowing or having a pretty like thinking that Cam Ward is their franchise quarterback moving forward, going into year two, you know, Geno Smith's not that for us, right? He's gonna be 36 years old. Like we're still trying to figure out who that is, but there's similar teams like talent. Like they, they're on similar footing. So against the team like that, we're going to go either way because I'm sure they're looking at you the same way you're looking at them. How do you, how do you match up? Because I would say for my, for me, the definition of a successful season is, you know, beating teams like Tennessee, winning the games that you're supposed to win and then a game or two. Yeah, and then being like competitive against the better teams. Right. And again, everyone says like, what is his successful see how many wins is a, I don't know.

Like with the giants, if the giants win seven and they're right in there for all these games and they lose less. Like, okay, right? If the jets are competitive, like, yeah, but I think at a certain point, I mean, I actually said this to my team the other day. It's like the reality is, is that you are judged by wins and loss. Of course, but also like the jets last year were three when team that they were like, but they were awful. Like they were blown out of games. Right. The giants who won four games looked, I'm not celebrating the giant season and looked a lot better than the jets did. Like the giants were in these games. Yeah, you have real opportunity. Right. I mean, the game against Denver Eagles. Like, I mean, they were like you exactly what we're talking about though. Like, I mean, at the end of, at the end of the day, you know, you may get in situations like that where it's going back and forth and you give yourself a chance in the fourth quarter to win and then the reality sets in where, you know, pick a team if it's, if it's Buffalo, if it's New England, if it's the Chargers, it's like, they're just better. Right. They're quarterbacks better. Like they're just a better team. And there's really no shame in that. No, there is no shame in that just because they're in a different spot.

Like the expectations, the Patriots are just in the Super Bowl. The bills are expecting to get to a Super Bowl. The Chargers are expecting to get to Super Bowl. Not winning the division. You're not. There's no way you win it. And you're not going to have one of the best three records in the A and C. Then feel like it. That's the side of the division winner. So I don't know how you could say that's why week one is so important. Week one matters a lot. It does because you look at two, three and four and you say, I don't know how we're going to win any of those three games. At least that's what I think. Those are tough games. Well, you're not expected to win those games. Like it doesn't feel like even if you want to take the whole, you know, Josh Jacobs thing or Michael Parsons is not playing like your nonsense is big. I don't even think Jacob's is a huge. You're not at the level of a green Bay or Detroit or Chicago. No, like yet at some point, hopefully we get there. But I mean, it feels like you're at the same level as Tennessee. So then you're staring at, oh, and foreign the face. If you could, if you don't win week one, there's a real chance that happens. Unless you find a way to, you know, be green Bay at home or go into Detroit or go into Chicago. Good luck. Those are not easy games. No. I mean, and then the other thing too is like that. There's two big questions, right?

The one question I think we know the answer to is that Gino Smith is not our quarterback moving forward. Even if he's great, he's not your quarterback. Right. So do we get a chance to see Kate Clubnick? Did we find lightning in a bottle? I won't believe that until I see it because again, it's the jets. We tried with the second overall picked and work. We tried with the third overall picked and we get we keep trying. It hasn't worked yet. So all of a sudden now believe that, oh, hey, we did it. We finally did a okay club Nick. We did it. Like you can have to show me that first. So that question we won't really have an answer to. I think we have a pretty good idea. The coach one's the big one because that, I mean, this now he's calling the plays. It's his defense. He's running. Yeah. He picks it on the spot. Like, so how does the defense look? Because it was awful last year. Yeah, you didn't have one interception. Right. You've added a lot of fairly any turn on that defense too. You have that. You had some effect. Yeah. Mink if it's Patrick is a legitimate player. America Davis. You still have some questions. Of course, but David Billy is a rookie. Okay. Donald has not had a good off season. So it's like who's getting who's getting to the quarterback? You're going to have to figure it out. Right. I mean, listen with this guy superpowers. Who knows? He'll figure out ways to get to the quarterback.

I know we're talking about superpowers and I, you guys can grab me from wrong. I know they dealt with injuries in Detroit. I didn't watch Detroit's defense and feel like no one's calling this defense as superpowers. Never one time. And even at the end, you can say, well, they were so banged up. They got murdered, but they were so banged up. Yeah. Right. But they got, but I never watched Detroit's defense. No, watch Ben Johnson's offense. And was like, that guy's got superpowers. Yeah. And look what he did when it went to playoff game last year. So there's a lot, there's a lot to prove. I think, I mean, if, if you get through the season and I don't necessarily know if you have to put a win total on it, I'm sure that win total has to be somewhere around six or seven wins. Probably about it. I'd say that's the range is that you know, Aaron Glenn proves to you that, you know, first season was just a rough rookie season. A lot of things done wrong, figuring things out. And now he looks like he's going to be a good, good coach and good coach moving forward. And now you figure out who the starting quarterback is going to be in your role. All right. So here's the question for you. And you can take it however you want. What to you is a successful season for the jets.

I'm not surprising at all. You were a good athlete. As a kid, I was up until like 12 and everything went away. How come they make us wear helmets in the field? Don't worry about it. He's shocked that I was in all-star and I still have the plaque. The Ross and Little League. Of course you do. All-star. That's right. I'm proud. I'm proud of. Good second basement. Middle infield. Oh. I was skinny as a kid. Little skinny. I didn't make it. You a good athlete. I could move around. Two brothers that were so much older that just I'm six, a 17 and a half. Yeah. You almost can't help but be a pretty good athlete. You definitely have an advantage. And I remember thinking, these guys are unbelievable. They stunk. But nine and eleven years older. Right. But at that level, I mean, there's so much more advanced than you. It's going to naturally lift your level up. Right. Yeah. The younger brother definitely has a huge advantage. Right. Basketball, baseball, you name it great. They used to beat the crap on you. One of them beat the tar out of me. That was surprising. Terrible. You're an acquired taste. As a little boy though.

Maybe I'm so difficult because of that was. It could explain some stuff. I'm sure if we go dig deeper into a therapist. Yeah. Probably be an expensive, you think a handy fee. Yeah. I think it'd probably be like, hey, maybe we'll start once a week and the first, you know, first one happens. Well, I think you could use therapy too. Oh, absolutely. 100%. I think you would probably be like, I think the doctor would take a real interest. I think so. I'd really like to get to the bottom of what makes Dave Dave. Huh. Yeah. They probably need a pain you. Yeah. Can we keep going? Can we have the session be over the cake? Can I see you next Tuesday? Like, wait, what? I don't want to say anything. I'm worried you know I was like, oh, more. A Netflix doc. We should have a therapist come in and we tried that. We had the whole day with Sherry and people felt bad for Sherry by the time it was over. What do you mean? We had Sherry on. Yeah. As a segment. And then when we started going through, people were like, hmm, poor Sherry. Why poor Sherry? That's what they felt like. I'm a really good husband. Yeah, made her, you made her power sand the basement.

I didn't make her do anything. Oh, yeah. I didn't make no. No, we mean no. I did not make her do anything. Well, you didn't help. Well, I wasn't going to help because it's, a, it's not my wheelhouse and b, I didn't want to. You could have made a U-wheelhouse. But I, what are you doing down there? You was like a worker being on the line pulling spring bottles like grenades. I wasn't down there. See, that's the problem. Like he says, it's not my, a, it's not my wheelhouse. B, I didn't want to. Right. And then he wasn't even down there. I would have been fine. I would have been fine if the background stayed the same as it was. I didn't care. You know how many husbands wish they could use that excuse. He could have, right. He does nothing. A, it's not my wheelhouse. That's not. He watches shows too. He watches shows. He naps and will occasionally grocery shop. You talk about the divorce rate earlier. It was amazing. You know, they'll stand. What you find. He should hire the divorce rate would be if everybody aspired to be like Dave Rothenberg. If you find love, everyone had a share of it. There would be no divorce. There would be no divorces because we, we took, if mother Teresa in Gandhi had a baby,

it would be Sherry. She's great. She's unbelievable. She's great. So why would I not want to marry this one? Of course you would want to marry her. Why she want to marry you is the question. That's the question. I got a lot going on. A lot. A lot. Highly entertaining. Okay. Fun. You might have been fun. I don't know if I gave fun. I don't know right now like this version of Dave's screams fun. I'm fun. What do you do for fun? What do I do? What do you do as a couple? What do you do for fun? What do we do for fun? What's your work? What do you do stuff for you? You have Sherry. You missed a spot. It's an easy act for him. Get the sand around. You don't be fun, Sherry. If you completely reach it. She likes that stuff. I didn't say that at all. You got your tacking me. Sherry, I got some fun activities with the week ending. You're going to sand the basement. I'm going to go upstairs. She said like three weeks ago she goes, you know, I think about redoing your whole studio. I'll say give you one. I don't care. I'm going to take the sun as a project. I've had it. Sherry's in one today. Oh yeah. She's going to get some later. I'll tell you that. Whatever.

That's what she wanted to do. I think it's part. I think it was part. I think it's great husbandry by saying you. You, you, you, you, you was proper. You said the word by the way. It would be your husbandry. If you jumped in and made it a couple's activities. Yes. Why don't you check down periodically? You know what that looks great. Like a union. You're about to order husbandry by the way. Literally means occupation or art of farming. Including conservation of crops and the raising of livestock. Let me tell you what you don't do. Well, she's more, she's more doing that. That's the old version. She's no version is being involved. She's more of a husband. She's doing more of the husbandry than you. She's raising you like a, like a, like a wheel. You know what? I set the tone of we are, we do not demean women in my home. We propel is what we do. And if we uplift and if you want to take on labor. Women's empowerment. Yes. I like to do it. I'm like Davey Anthony. Okay. He's all about the women's.

If you love to do everything, be my guest. I'm like Dave night and gal. I'm like Dave Barton. Okay. I want everyone. If there's something they see they want to do, you should go do that thing. You said I would check in on her periodic. Yeah. Like, hey, you want some carrots? No, I'm going to have to go. How's it going? Good. Go ahead. The carrots are for Shripple. He's not off. Sorry. Bag of chips. I would do that. How are we looking here? Sure. Looks good. That wallpaper looks great. Sure. You want to make me a sandwich? I would help the ladder. Yeah. That's all you can do. You just got your bitchy fell your whole life with end. End. It'll be over. That's the only reason you were spotting her. How good you think you'd be with without Cass? You think you'd be funky? No, I wouldn't be funky. Okay. I admit that, but I will also help. So I admit it, too. Yeah. But I also help. So Cass said Rick, I'm taking on, I want to do this. I'm going to take care of this. You help me or not is irrelevant. You'd be like, oh, I'm helping. So why don't we do it together? No, but you remember, like even he talked about how he, like most of us is Lon. You remember how he's out there helping to do the stuff.

I don't think, I think where we can hung up is, I don't think the offers have even really made with these things. And then Sherry says, oh, you know what we should do and you're like, have at it. Sure. And then you're like, I'm gonna say to you know what we should do. She said, I'm thinking about redoing your studio. I was like, great, I'm gonna go. Is that's what you'd like to do? Go do it. I'm gonna go watch you guys. I'm terrible. That's what I do. I empower. No, timeout. Should I, I've gotten in the way and said, oh no, that's my studio. You keep your hands off my studio. But you're missing the whole, but you're missing the bigger, the bigger issue though is, is the only reason why she wanted to fix your studio is because your studio had become a problem and she knew you wouldn't do it. That's it. What's a problem for me? But it was a problem for everybody else, okay? I think that one was going to be a problem for you. Not for me. And you know what it meant, because guess where you were gonna be all the time. And you know John doesn't like it. Then by the way, it would have been a problem for you. No one would have. No one would have thought of me. Absolutely would not have been here. I believe at one point early in the process when we first got on YouTube before I missed you. And I mentioned to you,

hey, we have some ideas about what we could do to your studio. I believe this is like a year ago, what your quote to me was, all right, well, you combined doing it. Yeah. I didn't care. We're gonna need to get a new camera. Well, you get me one and then I'll have a new camera. Yeah. And who did that? Sherry. See, I have no doubt. Because everything's a power struggle. I don't want to give up the power. What's the power? It's made that clear. The power of nothing? No, the power being like, sure, you tell me I have to do this. Now let me run and do it. You want me to get a new iPad? You get me new iPad. Why should I have to go to new iPad? Because I didn't want an iPad. Because what I remember. Because yeah, you did. No, I didn't. The film, yeah, because your camera's stuck. That this becomes a you problem. I, I, how about this? You guys always say how I walk backwards into stuff and it just pans out. So I got a new router. Because you, yeah, yeah. It's slow, whatever. So I call, I'm like, I need a new router. Like, great, the router you have is very old. I'm like, well, what's my new build going to be? It's going to be $20 less a month. I was like, last a month. Unbelievable. This is some, yeah, it's unbelievable.

This guy. It really is. It's unbelievable. Just always works out for day. It works out. Why would it not? Everything come to a good clean life. Things to not live to good clean life. I mean, maybe recently. If you live a good honest, maybe do like, yeah, you know, once I built my own bond. We'll see naked ladies. That guy. I once played Blackjack for 36 straight hours. We're going to underground casino parlors. Real clean. None of these are bad things. No, no. I keep them boom down. Real clean. I mean, recently sure, but he give everyone hope that they someday will find this year. Yeah. You do give hope at the same time. It's false hope. Yeah. Because there's no one, because if you become a person that's looking for what you have, you never find it. If they, if people, if most people tried to do what you did in a relationship, they'd be single instantly. Instantly. So when your wife says I got to go to urgent care. Yeah, where you leave the house with two days, which Colin brought up.

Somebody says she offered you dinner. Somebody said Dave married Rosie the river. What's amazing is most of these arguments though, if you really think about it, like where he leaves the house or like the vinegar or like it's like that was on like that's me. On a computer. Part of the clean life. It's her offering to do things to make him feel like, okay, yeah, I know it's been a tough day. Would you like some dinner? Ha, dinner! You are on vacation. Oh, no. No, we, we replayed it. We found it. We found the act, we replayed like five minutes of it. Did you ever hear that segment? Yeah. Amin Don. We can't do it now. No, it's troubling. We've played, we've replayed that. We're new. But it's fairness to me. No. Yeah, you want to see the matter? That leads to divorce 99.9. Arjay, he left his wife for two days. And it's not like he left his wife home. He helped him. Yeah, but it wasn't like he left his home. It was like out on the street because he was so depressed. He checked himself into a nice hill. It was just like living the life of a single person. It's become clear. Like eating wings and hanging out. That there's nothing in the mental reset.

There's a long time. There's a long time. There's a very tough time. What are you in town for? I live across town. I didn't fly in. Giants had a big loss and I just spiked my white foot on the hill. I like touching dude. No line he can't cross at this point because they've all been crawled. Exactly right. But when you find your soul mate and you find true love. If she did whatever, I would never leave. That's what you do for the person that you're supposed to be with. Yeah, a lot of people don't subscribe to that philosophy. Most those suggestions. How did it go? It's not in anything goes mindset with most people. If she was with another guy, I wouldn't welcome it. That's what I want. But I mean people have to make mistakes. You put your words behind your action because when you guys were dating and you said, she goes, well fine, I'm going to go on a date with a doctor and you said, I met him. She was part 10. I met this guy because he was there. I was there. Whatever is it nice enough guy. And then the Giants lost that game to the Niners 39 38.

It's like, come over. I'll give you a massage. I'll make you dinner and we'll have sexy time. I was like, are you out of your mind? How do you? How could you possibly think? I would even want to do anything like that. We just had the most catastrophic loss imaginable. And she's like, the way you're acting, I should go out with the doctor tonight. I go, go out with the doctor. She went out with the doctor. She played her hand early on. She lost. What happened to the doctor? Exactly right. I get the call. There's nothing I do. And she goes, I went out with him. I'm going to go smash. I'm going to go smash the doctor. And he's like, I don't care. I didn't. I didn't. I don't care. I don't care. But then she comes in and she says, yeah. Yeah. She knows his name. I showed McSteeney. McSteeney, which one was it? McSteeney? McSteeney. McSteeney was, I think Patrick, whatever's name is. Yeah. Patrick Densy.

Yeah. I'm going to go smash McSteeney. Yeah. I'm going to go smash McSteeney. And you're like, okay. Yeah. I didn't care. No worries. I didn't care. So you want to get home. I mean, that you called me and I was like, so I had to go. It's like terrible. I was like, why? All I could think about was you. I was like, darn right. I wanted to do the dishes and he wouldn't let me. Oh, but you know what? You like little things like this last night. Last night. What did you do? I said, we got Greek food. You rub your feet. No, we got Greek food. I ordered. Did she feed it to you? No, I ordered. Who picked it up? She did. What's the point about this? She was out. But she went to see if he has to get something. She said, I'll get the Greek food. Where's your going to see if he has some for you? No, for Alex. Okay. So I'm going to CVS. Yeah. It's great. And then she said, can you order? I don't like to order. I said, please let me order. I placed the order. So you like you put it in the texture. I said, 20 minutes. It'll be right. It's. It's unbelievable. You know what? You're way to jump start the situation.

You're sparking up. You did it. You did it. It's amazing. Really? I got it all. It really is. You do. You do. You guys can give me a hard time while you want. It's not hard. It's not hard time at all. It's amazing. I don't know why. It's amazing. You look at my marriage and you have a problem with it. No problem. No problem. We're just amazing. We can't understand. We are just in awe. But if it's some point. It's an enigma. But if it's some point, like Sam Darnal going into this year. We're still kind of like, all right, well, you won the Super Bowl. I mean, how many more times does it have to win the Super Bowl? You're marriage. How many times does it have to go through what we've perceived to be these rough waters and you come out stronger than everyone? We don't even have rough waters. That's what I mean. Yeah. It's just a dynasty. We're like the rich, partly young, the gold from a rubit of St. John. We're rolling through life right now. Like, like, years ago, you were like the same Darro going through like the rough past. Oh, yeah. And then you just, you win, you win, you win again. It's like if Sam Darro won the next nine Super Bowls. That's where you're at. So, don't look into the six small stuff.

That's my life. You don't sweat any stuff. No. That was my name at all. I worry about sports. Yeah. I think there's a better chance that Sherry shuts down like a son. Like, hey, listen, I can't have you watch football on Sundays. The more that he leaves, there's a post like he walks in and she's with another guy. Yes. Yeah. Well, what happened? I think there's a better chance. Like, I think the marriage gets rockier or like has like real issues. If she just told you like, you can't watch football on Sundays. Why would anyone do that as opposed to like, hey, by the way, I'm seeing, but it's been established. What kind of a hell she does that? Well, the guy has been seeing Billy the Amazon guy for the last couple of months. I would be happy about that. Yeah, but he would end the marriage. For all Sundays, he'll be like, that's gas. Why, you'd have to say, oh, why, why, why, why would you have enough? She had enough. What does that mean? It doesn't even make it enough. It doesn't make sense. You can only watch half Sundays. You can only watch the, you can only, you can only, you can only watch the one-of-clock game play. Why would you do? Why would you do that? She can do stuff. I'm gonna stop it if I'm doing stuff. Do whatever you want. If you pitch, take a track, please click. I don't care, but I'm not watching football.

You pitch Dave's life as a sitcom. You know, like, like, you know, king of queens, everybody loves Raven along the way. People tell you it's too outlandish. They don't even believe it. People would like, they tune out because this doesn't make any sense. So, I mean, you just got that reaction. Why would you do that? Why would you? When Rick farted on Billy the Amazon guy, I mean, I would, I wouldn't, I wouldn't, I wouldn't be happy that. Wouldn't be crazy. I'd be very upset. It's it right there. It's the dynamic. Who would do that? Who would say, Billy the Amazon? Billy the Amazon. Not happy. What are you gonna do? I'm gonna get down and try to watch the show. Billy, I don't love it. If you're gonna come over, I don't want to be here. Yeah, do it. Do it. At least you know I go early. Do it when I'm not home. Do it. Do it in the truck. Billy of John was the king. Billy used the keys. You know, I wouldn't be concerned about that because the Amazon guy's over a lot. But I figured that happens at my every place. Yeah. All the Amazon, they all dropped the package off inside. My guy came in the garage yesterday.

Of course he did. Yeah. Because it was a big, it was a key. You know what it was? He's got a big package. In a short, yeah. In order to catch for the studio. I was like, why don't I need a couch? You need a couch. That's where your water bottle's on. I was like, I need a couch. I was like, yes. So the couch. I was like, that looks heavy. What do you need a couch for? I don't know. We're not gonna see it. You want me to have a couch. Interesting. So I said, that looks heavy. Maybe you bring guests. Yeah, but then the video wouldn't. So I don't have to get another video. Maybe you have your own couch cast at your house. That's an idea. Post-a-mic. My set would look nice than what we have here. Yeah. Could you imagine that? We all show up and he got tasks for all of us. You're painting today. You know what I'm gonna do for Saturday? You're in charge of the appetizers. You move along. You know what's coming over Saturday? Who's coming over Saturday? Gary Myers. Oh. He has a one hour show. And he said, can I come to your house to do the show instead of coming into the city? Interesting. Oh, wow. That's a good one. That's very nice. Yeah. I open up my home. Have you finished his book? Huh? Have you finished Gary's book? The Giant's book, yeah.

Oh, really? Yeah. How about Coach K's book? How's that coming? That's like four years ago. We're getting there. We're getting there. By the end of Saturday, Gary's gonna be on the roof. I need to show single stuff. I know. I know. People to work. But if they choose to want to work, I don't stand in the way. Gary, seal the driveway. Yeah, right. We gotta break. All right. With Instacart Shopper Notes, you can be specific about what kind of steak you want, like asking your shopper to get you thick cuts of steak. Bright red, marbling you can see from across the room, a fat cap that knows exactly what it's doing.

While you're at it, ask for a cut that can single-handedly carry the cook out on its back. Something so tantalizing. Even the neighbor you got beef with asks, what's the secret? Uh, okay. So maybe you can't quite get that specific with shopper notes, but you get the idea. Want to get groceries just how you like? Looking for more access to the show. Why? Because you know why. Follow us at DR. On ESPN. Arja, I looked at the, uh, I glanced over at a screen. I don't, I don't think what I said was the call screen up. But I don't think this is bad at all. I was like, well, it's nice because lots of calls. He goes, yeah, it's for, uh, the stuff Rothenberg. He goes, he goes, he goes, he goes the phone bank. So it's all lit up.

I go, yeah, it's for stuff. Rather than people love this. People love it. I don't, I don't, this is what Sherry is. So it's not a line full of marriage counselors. That's what you're telling me. No, I was surprised. I think I, he don't, people love it. This is the thing that Sherry's addicted to. It is. That's what it is. It's got to be from it. It's like she feels like if she leaves him, which is probably what she should do. Like she'd be missing out on something. Ronnie, a combo, emails that he said, that Sherry segment was absolute gold. If Mr. Balls didn't love that, then we don't even want him listening to the show. Mr. Balls. What was his name? It was like Edmund Balls or something. Herbert, Herbert Balls. Yeah, Herbert Balls. Yeah. The concept of that. That confidence though. And you've had it since I've known you. What? Just you, you walk into a room and you're going to be honest. You're confident. Well, I can't help but be honest. He actually like in theory, like outside of like the, the necessary athleticism to be a professional athlete would have the absolute ideal mentality. Outside of the athleticism. Athleticism.

Yeah, great. Yeah. If he's eat all those things. Right. Yeah. Talent. But I just mindset. Right. So like have that level of confidence and have nothing else bother them. Like that matter. What anyone says outside of like giving away restaurants near your home address. Right. Oh, yeah. It'd be a wife to if the opposing fan section. Okay. You're welcome. He's got. We have a mouse in the palace situation. Father Berg, you suck. Bob. Bob. Yeah. Who maintain. That's right. I'm out of the corner. Kitchen. Kitchen camera. We know where you grow up. Yeah. I wouldn't like that. Oh, my goodness. I wouldn't like that. People don't believe me when I say that. Like people ask me questions about you all the time. Like I don't matter where I'm at. Is that the big thing? No, but I'm like, it could be, you know, Cooper's time. Wherever I'm at, like it's it. It always amazes me because you just lose track of like how many people actually listen to the show and like, oh, we love you. And they, but they always want to know about you. Like you do that crazy. And like you guys say some nasty things to each other. Like you like. Is that affect the friendship? I'm like, no, you don't understand.

I can say it's why it works. I can say the, the nastiest things about him and anything. The only thing that's ever bothered him when I started to give him rest. I don't want people to chop up my home. Right. That was, I was once I got to walking distance. That's when I was, I was opposed to that. RJ, I've been very helpful you lately. Yeah. RJ's looking at something. I was looking at something. And I've given him a lot. I believe a lot of good suggestions and ideas. You, you, you, you, you take nothing to heart. Like that day, don't, I mean, come on. I've had two years not to, not too long from now when I just, I yelled at you on the air off the air. Try to fight him. And you gave it, you gave it a, no, I lose that fight. You gave, they've gave it like 90 seconds and then like in the, like in the speaker, just like, I, what do you want to do next year? Yeah, but that's a, that's a great honor. That's a great honor. It doesn't nothing bothers him. It feels right on. Which is what bothers you the most though. Yes. Yeah. See that, that's not good. The fact that nothing bothers me, but then other people get so bothered by things that I've done. That's not great. It's not even that. It's that there's nothing like it. The fact that it doesn't bother you frustrates the hell out of people because it should bother you. Right. But it doesn't. Well, I wasn't happy that he was so angry at me.

And then I said, listen, I'm sorry. I wasn't in the intent. I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I made you angry. Yeah, I'm sorry. I wasn't in the intent. And now we have to move on. Yeah. Like what are we going to do? We're going to fight about it. Like babies are we, we're going to move on. Like adults. Yeah. And that was the goal. And that's what we did. Gentlemen. And how good is our relationship? Oh, that's great. It's only because our J's now had to. Baby you. Do you feel like you're babying me right now? No. No. No, stop. I think you're jealous of my relationship with him. Yeah, listen. That's great. You got your fantasy team together. RJ was my guy. Until you had the two fights. RJ was my guy before he was in two fights. RJ. And then all of a sudden, who was guy who were you first? Well, I do. I've known you longer. Right. I mean, were you doing animal death drafts with this guy? At 11 o'clock with no breaks on a Thursday night? No. I am jealous of that. I love those drafts. All those were unbelievable. I mean, he did marry. So I mean, that's true. He's got that. Yeah. But now an animal death draft like 11 years ago, I keep in my heart. When this happens. How many years. How many years does a dog experience比較 in我的 heart? Yeah. life of course.

Mm hmm. Another year admission certificate, amount of it. Well, I need to agree to registered territorial rights in fact, I see cars like a truck that drips on the back of your seat. I think at least the darkness of sleeplessari park on the surface of a screaming station and epic big mirrors around behind bars, little overestimated production traffic. What happened? Yeah, that was like, Jacob, stop them. I don't know. They're not going to be as strong as a full size horse, but they're still going to be pretty strong. That was like a Wednesday during the end of the day. I think they can't climb one. You can kick it. That's when you had like 90 second breaks. Yeah, man. Yeah, and you did five hour shows at night. Five hour shows. We took calls on that about the ducks. That's good. That's good training. That's good. That's real good training. I did like a 20 minute segment. Like, he's like, don't get too comfortable. We're back in 45. What? What? It has some water. That's possible. All right, let's go to iron, statin island. Thank you, everybody. Hey, good morning, gentlemen, and good luck on the TV. And David, if I don't talk to you before I happy and help you, New Year.

Oh, thank you too, everybody else out there. So he talked about expectations, but Garrett Wilson's comments, listen, he said the right thing. And as a professional athlete, I hope he partly believes that because that's why you play the game. He wanted to be the best. But to me, for a successful season, we talked all summer. I know that's six to seven things is thrown out there. I don't get to get six out of here. They get seven. At the end of the year, I want to know, do I have a head coach? Prove me wrong that this guy is a real head coach. And as Gina Smith, it'll be the boot quarter back to whoever they draft next year. And I want to see improvement. I want to see a competitive football team. So six, seven, eight wins. It really don't matter to me. Give me everything else and I'm happy. You expect to see Aaron Glenn take that step in. Gina to be decent and to get seven, eight wins. Or do you think that's unlikely for this season? I don't think I mean me personally. I hope I'm wrong. I don't think when I'll have to take that step. But I do think Gina Smith will play very competitive football.

You're not going to be a top 15 quarterback. But like I said, I'm going to stick with it, man. 28 touchdowns, 15 fix, 38 hundred yards. Those days, numbers for the year. If he goes 28 touchdowns and 38 hundred yards, you're probably going to win some games. Yeah, you'll win some games, right? But you're still, I mean, you're still trying to figure out what the defense is going to be. I know they've added some, I mean, they've added some veteran leadership. And you have a very manageable schedule. Ah, you do. I don't know how manageable it is. I think you have some wonderful jets are towards having one of these here. You got some winnable games. I mean, it's what makes weak ones so important. And then you got the Cleveland's Miami. You got Arizona. But you look at the, I mean, you look after the buy. They got a late buy. They got week 13. You got Denver, Arizona's a winnable game. But it's an Arizona. Then you got New England Minnesota Buffalo. That's a tough stretch. We don't know if Buffalo is going to be in week 18 though, right? They could be not playing for anything like they were last year not playing for. Right. But I mean, I would think that maybe I'm in the less New England takes a step back that everybody thinks which, but you must have, and I don't have it in front of it.

You do, you must have six games. So you're like, yeah, they can win that game. Right. Tendencies that they can win that game. Cleveland's they can win that game. Both Miami games, both Miami games are they can win Vegas. They can win Arizona. That's six. Hey, they can win that game. I'll say they will win them all, but that's six right off the bat. They can win that game. Yeah. If you want to, I mean, if you want to prove to me that you should be the coach moving forward, yeah, I think those are games that you should win. I also want to see what it looks like at the end of has what it looks like the end of games. I use a lot. You know, all those different things because none of that went well. When just the media wasn't just the record, it was all of it. There's a lot to see from this team. A lot. I think that you have you have some talent on the offensive side of the ball, but I feel like we've had this same conversation about having talent on that side of the ball. And I know last year it was, you know, Justin Fields just wasn't a good quarterback, but we all didn't think Justin Fields was a good quarterback when they made the decision to go with Justin. No. So like you're not your questioning. Okay.

The decision making is certainly a better thrower than Justin. Right, but he's not coming off a great year. If you want to get in with all that blame, you want to put on what happened in Vegas, but Vegas didn't think Vegas was going to be as bad as Vegas was. No. And Seattle moved on from from because they didn't think he could get them there. And they were right. And they want a soup. So you had the one team he left want a soup bowl and the team he went to get the first overall pick. Yes. So both teams get what they want. And he's been hit a lot. Yes, a lot. He has now Jets offensive line should be good. It should be good. And he's got, I mean, listen, he's got some legitimate. No, he's got legitimate weapons. I mean, Bruce Halsey really good running back. You think Sadeek's going to play on Sunday? I don't know. Sounds like there's a chance he does. I hope you went through some practice yesterday. I hope so. I mean, he's one of the guys that you're excited about. Right. I actually drafted him in a fantasy league last night. If you I took a little, uh, because I punted on tight ends and then like late in the draft, I went to the deep and then because I always like to have two tight ends just in case I took Kate out and no nice. Yeah. So your father-in-law would be happy with that.

I would bigger got his extension. So Baker's happy. So then Lee, I got pretty much eliminated him coming to the Jets now. That sounds right. Yeah. So you're again, but it all like all these Jets conversations all come back to the same thing. It's either you're of the mindset that what happened last year was rookie growing pains for Aaron Glenn, not really having like a full understanding of what it means to be a head coach in this league and be the head coach of the Jets in this market. And mistakes were made. He's learned from those mistakes. And you feel like there's a real chance he can prove to you that he can be your head coach moving forward, which gives you, you know, gives you hope that, okay, we'll get the, you know, we'll start to win. And then with the three first round picks, we can figure out who the quarterback is and this thing will move, move forward accordingly. Or you're the mindset you just don't think Aaron Glenn is going to be good. I do. He is good. And now winning six or seven games does you know good because you still think he's not a great coach and it affects where you're going to draft your quarterback.

And it may mean that he's going to be back again. Oh, yeah, I would almost guarantee that six or seven. So I, so that's, that's end again, I'm not especially with the whole, especially with the whole cake club. Nick thing now. Okay, that's still he's the only quarterback. I know I'm fighting for my job. I don't feel comfortable with the situation. I don't have anybody could with a quarterback that's going to be 36 years old. That's been sacked over a hundred times in the last years. But they made a look. Like, why would you sign Demario Davis? He's 37 years old. You, you, you, you want him to try to help win games now, right? Make it Fitzpatrick. Right. These are, these are not young, young players. No. So if you're going out and signing guys with some age on them to try to win games now and then you're going with K club Nick as your backup quarterback, it kind of feels like it's counterintuitive, doesn't it? Yeah. It seems like it seems like he's probably not only the hot seat like we think he's in the hot seat. I know how could you not be on the hot seat? Because it's Woody's higher. Woody stands behind it. Here's Eric Lamble. How many coaches do you want to be paying?

He didn't want to pay. The guy's got so much money though, but he didn't want to pay. If you had that much money in your head coach, told you it's a fair point. We're talking about when you first had your meeting. I want full autonomy. I want to do my thing and he told you, listen, I still want to be the CEO. I won't wait to be my defensive coordinator. You go, I'm not right. That check. Yeah. That's fair. Here's Glenn. What would a successful season to you look like? Successful season. I'm absolutely winning. Winning. I mean, hands down effort, discipline. I don't know what that means. That's very broad. Yeah, it's very broad. But it's at least it's like. Something is opposed to, hey, what did you learn from last year? It's like, I don't want to be a butthole, but I'm going to keep that to my. Why? He's not good. He is. He is not. And then she knows the promise land. I guess like, come on guys. A big shit. They're in slow. He's a little bit better. That I understand. That's like a typical coach. Glitch. I know. But he's had my super power really. Go. Jesus. He doesn't do himself any favor. He hasn't. Well, we, I mean, we heard the story that when he came here, he attempted to not do any media. That's right. He was trying to. Yeah. I mean, which is unheard of, especially here, part of, but part of the job as a head coach

in this league is you have to deal with the media. You might hate it. You can be Bella chickie in where you just, you know, give these one word to whatever find, but you need to deal with the media. Cannot deal with the media. No, you can't. Then he learned that and then he also learned what happens when you don't deal with the media the right way. It's like the ask rich stuff. It was just it was all of it. It was a tough season. It was a tough season. Like a real tough season. Do you guys play the exact same time? Yeah. We're mid-term. You guys are really. I think, huh? You guys tell me if I'm wrong though. Week one. Like you're talking about a guy who had legitimate success as a player in the NFL. Yeah. He's a really good. So like I would imagine I don't know him, but just like watching him on the sideline in Detroit, seeing some behind the scenes footage of him, you know, addressing the players in Detroit. Like he's a fiery guide. He's not a big guy. So I mean, his, his level of compete has to be through the roof. Would you imagine like a, does that sound right? Like that he's probably like a super competitive guy. I would think. How do you go a whole season last year as the head coach of the New York Jets, watch your defense be as bad as your defenses and not help?

Even if it's not your defense. I have no idea. Oh, that was staked. That's because maybe because then you keep your hands clean. Defense stuck. I know what it's still with me though, but it's still a reflection on you. You still wear it. It makes no sense. You still wear that. It makes no sense. That goes on your right. It makes no sense.
