Former NHL goalie
Rick Dipietro is a former American professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 2000 to 2010. He was drafted first overall by the New York Islanders in 2000 and played for several teams, including the Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, and New York Rangers. Dipietro is best known for signing the longest contract in NHL history at the time, which was a 15-year, $67 million deal. He also represented Team USA in the 2006 Olympics and was a member of the NHL All-Star team in 2007. Dipietro is currently retired from professional hockey and has been involved in various business ventures since his playing career ended.
