This is DPA-Trow-N Rothenburg. Loans the last time I went to the best life, the game over for laundry. This would be a big, big, big statement if they would somehow get this game. It would be a great win if you're the Jensen. I think all of us are not expecting a little of some of the stuff in the title that we have.

They definitely upgraded the talent. I think they're complete for our team. I don't see any wearing weaknesses. I think you're not going out there trying to win every game you're playing and you're going to be able to play with them. This is DPA-Trow-N Rothenburg on ESPN, New York. The MSG network and streaming live on YouTube. All right, DNR with the UESPN, New York MSG TV. Dan, is it fair to say Dan in for Rick today? Rick is, I think, his youth sports traveling somewhere with the... I think it's hot, but I'm not 100% sure. Today is flying by, isn't it? I can't believe it's last hour, ready? That means we've done three hours. We've got one more to play with and a play we will. You're going to be heavily involved in our football picks this week, because we go up against the afternoon show. Last week, Dan, we went three and a half. That's what you strive for. You strive for perfection. That's what we strive for. A lot of discussion with the Jets and rightfully so, and they came off a really good week one. It's so fragile though.

Not that you see the Jets losing by double digits, but could you not see if the Jets were to lose by double digits? All of a sudden, everyone will jump off the Manwagon. It was Tennessee. They stink. Kimwards. Lausy. You played a real team and you got beaten at home. So, I think how it looks really does matter for the Jets this week. I think so to a certain degree. You just don't want to sloppy performance. The weather's going to be sloppy out there. It's going to be nasty. You don't want to be turning the football over left and right. And look, admittedly, even though they looked good last week, there's still a lot of things that, by their own admission, they would tell you they need to clean up. They had eight penalties. They were just two for 12 on third down. The end of the first half was absolutely that too. So, there's a lot more things with the operation, which could be tidier. That being said, you're going up against a lot better football team than a Tennessee Titans. A lot better coach football team than Tennessee. That's for sure. Right. There's things that you did last week that if you do this week, might come back to bite you and you really, you can't afford that to happen. So, but I think we know the recipe for the Jets.

You have weapons. Your tight end is going to, I think he's going to be good. I like them at the draft. I like him a lot. He's athletic and that's kind of the difference maker in some of these tight ends. You know Garrett Wilson is a stud and you know that Breast Hall. And I like Brandon Allen to be. You know Breast Hall is a stud. So, you go to battle with a big time receiver, a big time running back and a tremendous potential for the tight end with an offensive line. It's very good. This Jets team offensively, Dan, they should be pretty good. Absolutely. And that really, to me, isn't all that surprising. What I think is a pleasant surprise is how they were able to tighten things up defensively. You know, because that game was a lot more lopsided than the 10 points, the Tennessee scored or whatever it was. That defense really played well last week. And I don't think that they got enough credit in the offseason from people about, especially in that front seven, how they're going to be able to get after people this year. You saw it on Sunday. I mean, they had cam ward running for his life all day. Green Bay's banged up a little bit on that offensive line. But the tricky part about this is even if they were to get out to, let's say, even a double

digit lead, I would be concerned because Jordan love is good enough with this passing attack to bring you back from behind. Yes. Yes. I mean, here's the thing. I think it's they're dangerous offensively because he's he's really good. And they do have weapons on the flip side. If they're trying to protect the lead, like if the packers are up 21, 17, five minutes to go, can they close it out by running the football? And I'm not sure the answer to that is yes, because their running game is not good. No, it's it's just not good. So can they come back and overtake you? Maybe, depending on the weather, right? But can they close you out by just like the giants did running the football? I'm not sure the green Bay can do that. And look from the jet offensive perspective, right? Like they're going to have a little bit of a different look with this packer team because Tennessee, and we saw the solid defense for a lot of years. They play a four three. They don't blitz a ton. They believe in that defense of just getting home with your

four guys up front. Now you're going up against the green Bay defense to place a 34. And it's going to be a different look up front. They're going to be coming at you from different directions. You were able to block it last week. Are you going to be a successful again this week? You know, it's all part of that chess match back and forth between the two coordinators. Like we talked about it. You know, Geno's had a lot of success in his career against Jonathan Ganon defenses. You hope for another one this Sunday. What does give me a little bit of pause is Rich is really dialed in. And he's really smart. And he's really good at kind of seeing the direction the jets are heading in and what to kind of expect. And last week is like, I think they will they will win this game against Tennessee. And it was right. And he doesn't sound like he feels overly confident. The jets are going to get the win this weekend's green Bay. I think it's more out of respect for the Packers. Like we talked about right because this is a team that's that's earned that right. And that desperate and they're desperate. I mean, I mean, I'm not certainly privy to, you know, beaver dam or or green Bay radio specifically. But when I look at the Packers, they fell

apart at the end of last year. They fell apart in week one. They need to win this game. They need to win this game. And then you're thinking, okay, it's like they're not going to lose seven in a row. Are they like, I mean, the they're bound to win one of these. I mean, the last three, like we said, they've blown double digit leads, which means they've been ahead. They've been in control these games. It's not like they're getting blown out per se. There's talent on this team. This this offense when they're clay. There are top 10 offense in the NFL, in my opinion, a top 10 off Packers. Yes. Even without Josh Jacobs. Absolutely. They can't have banged up offensive lines. I'm saying they can be like they can't be sure. So you know, I'm saying, the Jordan love. I think it's better than people give him credit for. I think it's really good quarterback. I still think it's a top 10 passing attack. I would agree with that. You know, I'm saying so they and for a jet secondary, which had concerns coming into the season, which I think they still do, you know, they weren't overly tested by cam warden company last week. Now you don't have to make if it's Patrick, that's going to be something that I'm keeping a close eye on for this game coming up. I would agree with you. I this is there's a lot to be found out

from this game with the jets because like you said, again, you don't ever want to punt on a game. Johnson want to punt on the Rams game. Jets don't want to punt on, you know, in Chicago or in Detroit. But if you somehow can win this game, you all of a sudden set yourself up in a really different narrative because now you're two and oh, right? And you look at what you have after the next two, then it becomes a very like decent schedule. There's no reason you're not alive when you get to Thanksgiving, which when you've been so bad for so long is a real hurdle to clear if you're the jets and winning a home game that people, some people don't think you're going to win or should win establishing that culture like, okay, we want this place to be difficult to play. Like, you know, we want to create a home field environment. There were a few players this week who spoke about, you know, the Green Bay Packers, like you go to Green Bay, like you know, the type of environment you're getting. And the jet fans traveled really well with Tennessee. And that did not go unnoticed. And so they're thinking as well if they showed up in Tennessee,

show up at our place on Sunday and make it difficult for opposing teams that come in. They I have no no lack of confidence in the jets fan. The jet of everything associated with the jets, the fan base is the least concerned. I mean, can they get angry? Can they turn on you if things go bad? Sure, like any fan base can, but are they supportive? I mean, the jets fan now becomes what the next fan was. It's been forever since they've won a championship. They're desperate for a title and we are going to be, you know, fanatical in our fandom moving forward. Well, you know how it is. You got to give them, you got to give them an excuse to show up, right? You got to give them an excuse to want to support you. And unfortunately, the last few years, they haven't certainly not last year with the way they played. You know, I mean, it was, it was tough sledding and somehow some way. You know, I mean, you almost forget about it. They actually won two games at home last year. No better way to get the vibes off to a good start by winning that home opener, right? Against the good team. And guess what? There's going to be packer fans there. Packers travel as well as any team in the national football league. There's packer fans everywhere. So there's going to be packer fans. You want to shut them up. You know, go out there

and create that environment that this place is going to be tough to play. And you tell me, if the jets somehow won this game as good as the Titans win was and it was a good win, you wouldn't start to be like, oh my god. Like, and again, I'm not saying playoffs. I'm not even going that far, but you wouldn't look at this and see yourself. This is different if they could win this game at home against Green Bay. Absolutely. I mean, even though the performance on Sunday was impressive, people are still going to give you the yeah, but but it's 10 to see. Despite the fact they did what, what competent teams are supposed to do to bad awful teams like they kicked the crap out of them, right? That's what you should supposed to do to bad teams. This is a different level. This is the Green Bay Packers, right? Jordan Love is, is he still the highest paid quarterback in the NFL? He was for five minutes. I don't know if he still is. I don't keep track of those things, but this is a guy who's done some stuff. This is a coach who's won a lot of games. Had this team in the championship game and the playoffs, it seems like every year, right? Like this is a quality and I don't want to say desperate in week two, but a wounded opponent, if you will, coming into your building. This is a

step up in class. Big big time. I mean, Tennessee is the drags of the NFL. I'm sorry. And Green Bay is not. And I mean, they should have won that game in Minnesota, who's a pretty decent football team. Wars case, you would agree. This is a middle of the road team, right? Think like a top 15 team in the NFL. Absolutely. Think about, and again, maybe we're getting a little delusional here, and it's only two weeks. But let me, can I set the scenario possibly for the Jeffery? I love scenario. Love the scenario. Jetfan hits their head on the pillow on Sunday night. You could be looking at possibly jets 2 and 0 Packers 0 and 2 Colts 0 and 2 after a visit to Arrowhead on Sunday night. Could you ask for anything more to start your season? You could ask for Cowboys to be 0 and 2, I guess. Well, the the Packers or the Cowboys, whichever one is worse, right? No, could you know, well, okay, if the jets go to 2 and 0, that locks in Green Bay goes to 0 and 2, right? So you got that. I expect the chiefs to beat the Colts, push them to 0 and 2. And I think the Cowboys are probably win, but yeah, you're rude for Washington. But that how delicious would

that be? Because the thing now, Dan is wins aren't even just wins. Winds are now like, okay, I'm a jets fan and also on top of that, I root against the Nainapolis, I root against Green Bay, I root against the Cowboys. So you have all these things baked into what this this off season is going to bring for the Jeffers. 100%. It couldn't you could not have scripted a better start. Having a three-way hate watch guy has got to be like an ideal situation for me. I would just for what you've gotten through forget about like you winning games, which is itself, as they said, it's a nice little bonus. But if you have a three-way hate watch on top of that, like somebody had before the season launched, like the jets are in two divisions this year. They have C.E.s like usual and then the division with Green Bay Dallas and in Indy. And you're just trying to be on top of that division. And that's one of the reasons why I said all some are long like Indianapolis is not a well-run football team. They're not. Okay, they gave up two first round picks for a corner who's now part of a defense that gave up 40 points on opening day. They gave Michael Clemens. Remember,

Michael Clemens with the jets who was nothing but, you know, unless he got a late hit or a personal foul penalty, really was gone on notice for four years, they gave Michael and by Chipotle for. Correct. Michael Clemens, they gave him, I think, like 12 million bucks guaranteed or something, he might have played 10 or 11 snaps in week one. Like these are the type of decisions that the organization makes. Why would you have confidence? They'd be any good. I said earlier this week and I stand by it. That trade for sauce gardener is going to go down to one of the worst trades we've ever seen. You traded two ones for him. Yep. Two one. Yeah. Now, notwithstanding the Jamal Adams trade and nothing will equal that. That was just for a safety to trade two. And then sauce aged a year. Oh, for night. Whoops. Yep. Terrible. Yep. Absolutely. But now you know, when you got to cash in those chips like that, you know, they took those Jamal Adams picks and drafted quality players, but unfortunately, they didn't win with them. You know what I mean? Like now you got to cash it in meaning start winning games on Sunday. Do I know what you mean? You mean like trading to get the bears for a strand picks, betting the entire season watching them suck and getting the seventh

overall pick and turning it into Evan Neil. Do I know what you mean? Yeah. Yeah. I know what you mean. Let's go to every day Edgar in Bloomingdale. Edgar, good morning. What's up, boys? Bro, are you ready for that white out? Hey, that is that you made that? Are they giving that out game day in my garage? I took out the the wood shop and I made myself. I don't mean I don't mean I don't mean you made it, but you know, you took it to us. They didn't have it. I got right out there. This is you have it. You can go online and buy this right now. Jet shop fanatics. You could buy it right now. It'll be at the stadium on Sunday. They got that's easier to say. It says white out. I can't see that. White out. This is that first white off game. This is that first white off game. Ever they've never done this right? They've done the block with the black helmet. They've never had the white helmet. No. Yeah. The one win has got the jet stand based crazy. I got a UPS for a guy and I went there in the summer and he had a

jet hat on and I was like, what do you think of the upcoming season? He's like, Joe name has got to die. He was cursed and I'm like, okay, all right. This is a simple football question. I walked in there two days ago. He's got the GMO Smith jersey. He pulled it out of the closet. We're winning this week. I think they are, man. The fan base is very confident. Why not? Ugly weather, run the ball with breeze control the game. Let's get this win, man. New York is just a better place than the big minute. Why not? Well, I mean, if the guy from the UPS store says it's in the bag, then I mean, we got no reason to worry, right? Thanks for the call. I don't like the guy from the UPS store wishing death upon Joe nameless. Yeah. Why is it have to be so sinister? That's, I guess he's saying that it's like a nameless curse and they can't win until he's passed Joe was a, Joe was a legend. Joe's an icon. Hopefully gets up to a game this year. We didn't seem last year. Got a really nice email from Rob Gianoni. I think I might be a tell this.

Oh, we're listening. We're listening. Yeah. He says, Ray Santiago has come so far. He chimes in perfectly. Please give him the love he deserves. Who doesn't though? Wow. Who doesn't? I just want that to bring that to everyone's attention. Like, that's cool. Thank you. A little chime in's are being really highly noticed by the masses. I'll take it. Thank you. You know how you make all those interesting comments during the show. You know, I make all those interesting comments when I watch the games. Kind of thing usually goes to former athletes or people in broadcasting. Right. Ray, you make great comments. You make great, you make amazing comments. Yeah. I know that we're in the last hour of the football Friday show. That's how are we in the last hour? By the way, how are we in the last hour? The show has moved quickly. Yeah, the show is as some people might say zoomed by. It felt like it was five minutes ago. I was stepping over homeless people walking into work today. That's nice. That was a nice text from you this morning. I'm like, who's texting this early? Oh, it's.

Arjay sent a first text, didn't he? It's Arjay. I'm your answer. No, I tell you. You were out. Yeah, I sent him. I don't want. Arjay was talking about the new sport that's taking craze over over the city. Well, I don't know if you're awake so I left you off of it because it was like, you can always text me because I don't have my my ringer on it. It was like, four, I don't know. You can text me. 12 reports, 424 or 24 because I was I was getting ready to walk in the door and some guy came sprinting past me, but he was out out for a jog. I'm missing. Maybe as a busy day. Maybe he likes four 24 jogs. Maybe he likes a temperature at that time. I don't know, but I texted these guys. I'm just like, what are we trying to prove here? And he's got the full runners out fed. He's got like the batter, the whole cause or whatever runner branch. That guy that guy is definitely a person who jogs in shorts in the snow. Definitely. I think you're right. But he wears mittens. Why why are you guys disparaging a man that's jogging? Go back to sleep. He didn't want to sleep. Maybe it's not. I mean, he probably looks at you the same way. Look at that guy. Going to work walking in the streets of New York City with a backpack and a color

shirt on. I think that the riff raft though, he run into you. No, all right. So who are you? It's disparaging. I think it's I think it's odd. Do you think it's safe? I think it's safe. I think it's weird. I think it's safer than when there's daylight. Well, it's running. Maybe there's a lot more people. So it takes a lot more time to run. Would you think about that? Like if you're being like a spire, a deranged serial killer. Like, what if they also have some speed and then they hunt you down? Why not? I never have I thought about that. How about how about five 55? Why why and he looks like he'd been running for a while. So I start your run at four. They're actually they're actually worth homicidal maniacs who are on the track team. Maybe he's got to be at work at six. He went for this run. He goes on me showers. He cleans up and he goes to work. I don't understand why you're like judging him and I commend this man for doing early morning running. I thought it was interesting. It does seem like a flex though. Doesn't it, RJ? No. Who's he trying to impress? The night creatures. He thinks to himself, boy, if I run past the right person, it'll get discussed on the radio. Creatures of the night.

The way we're so every week. Someone that bullies me every week. What? Gary Myers. He bullies you? He bullies me. He doesn't strike me as a bully. Well, he's a bully. He's a bully. He's a common daredee's radio studios last week. Well, I mean, that's your own problem. Yeah, for for an you know, in eternal conversation with Jerry Jones. Um, well, you could have said no. He goes, this is what I have coming up this week. Promote it. Oh, wow. So he's got he's not asking. He's telling you that's on you. That's on you. How's that? You know the old expression give people an inch. They take a yard. That's exactly what this is. So I'm giving too much of my self. Absolutely. I mean, he opened up your home for crying out loud. I'm too nice. You are too nice. There's too many people that are too nice. You could be nice. There's a difference between nice and rational. So I'm rational with the cousin. What's that? Should I not tell you what's coming up on his show tomorrow? Is it worthwhile? I think so. Okay. I mean, he's got 1240 gym porters. He's a who's the important president CEO of the pro football Hall of Fame on the changes that they made.

Hmm. Right. It goes from 50 to 25. One o'clock. He's got the man. I'm gonna give you a hint. This man never urinates. Oh, we know. Yeah. Friend of us. I'm trying to get a pinch bar for a bladder. Can you show me? Not a martial. Not a vassal. Another man that is able to hold the bladder well. Oh, not during a draft perhaps. No, not during a draft during like a, um, like a Joe Fortenbach. No, a red zone kind of a situation. Oh, really. He also never, never urinates. That's right. Got some bearing. He's there all the time. Correct. Not a urinator. Yes. He's going to go from game to game during the interview. Br- I don't know. Brian Costello on the Jets will go in his well 140. And then he's another hint. Who's got a better than us? Jack Harbour. Let's go say it's either gym or jack barball. That's where it started. Patriarch. The father of the whole Harbour. The man who came up with the plan. That's where who's got a better than us began. Two o'clock. And then James and Hensley, um, on life after Harbour and Baltimore is going to join the show. Oh, Jack Harbour.

Jack Harbour, who the first time I was introduced to him on our television screen is like, that's Old Man gym Harbour. Like that's that's what gym Harbour will look like as an Old Man. Is Gary going to be on the show tomorrow or no? Yes. Gary likes, guess. How will Gary will be on the show? Because Jim is what a John is what 65? Yeah, he was definitely his 80s. 87 years of age. John is like 60, right? I mean, John, no John is older than 60. I think John is, John might be 65. No, 63. 63. I'll tell you, he pulls off 63 actually. 64 in a few days. Yeah. See, I'm always with the near. Jim is 62. So Jim's the younger one. Yeah, you didn't know that. No, I always thought that Jim was the older. John's he looks older. They both neither of them look like John's with a bug guy prescription. But John's demeanor, maybe I guess, but like he always appeared to be like more youthful than his

brother to me anyway. Isn't, you know what? I got another nice email. Frank D'arico, little comments from Ray are absolutely elite, but have you received any compliments from RJ on the rundown? Boy, have you guys been great this week? I like this. Oh, nice. This is nice. There's another Christopher Cruz. When does the weapon race Santiago get his own show? It's time. He's amazing. But this has been a nice segment. Yeah. Yeah, I forget. I forget why they came up with that, but someone started calling me that the rock. The missile, the weapon. I believe it was Rick that calls him the weapon. I believe I forgot why. Yeah, I'm like, I get too deep into the weapon. RJ. Hi. So the weapon that Rick drew on a piece of paper and he left him. I look at a left and alone. You can't let me all the time, Dan. He's like, you weren't paying attention to me. You're doing something else. I turned him. He's drawing cartoon characters of genitalia. That's one way to put it. Cartoon characters of genitalia. Yes. You could have just

said drawings of genitalia. Yeah, you got eliminated. The cartoon characters part. I don't know. I want it to really impact it as best I could. I don't think they had speaking parts character risks. Are they like human eyes? Are they giving like eyes and mouths? Are they waving? That everything. It was unbelievable. What are you doing? RJ? Yeah. How are you doing there? Good. That's great. You're ready. Hi. How are you doing, buddy? Misty. You ready? Ready, ready. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, great job. You missed. Alright, he's scary moment at the city field. Serial stuff here. Aranola, give a three ounce of resembles, fill his beat domestic. Nothing to tell the cops for the top and a wild card spot. But this was the story here. A game interrupted by a very scary collision that led to first basement for the met's Jared Young being

caught off the field. Not unconscious when Nolan McLean and he collided both converging on Justin Crawford, so grounder in the sixth and a need to head situation and young was motionless on the field after the collision taken to the hospital. Andy Greens had the CT scan was negative. Young has concussion like symptoms. He is working through here was his update after the game really scary. He's since got into the hospital. He's had a CT scan, results have come back negative. So in that sense that's very positive. Still like experiencing real concussion symptoms right now but has full use of his extremities and feels at this point in time like we've avoided the scariest outcomes. It was a terrifying moment on a baseball field. Took him a wild to come to really scary collision. It was terrifying it really was because he was out and they had to slowly turn him over and the report came out after the game like he has full feeling in all his extremities like I was especially for baseball. We don't really see that kind of stuff that was really

really concerned. It's the weirdest thing because like you if I would have told you first basement plane head injury you would have thought what happened like you took a line drive to off the scholar something like that. It was basically like a T-Ball ground ball to first base and unfortunately it produced two guys colliding with one another and one guy unfortunately taking the worst of it with a knee to the head. Yeah it really was a scary situation and thankfully it looks like he's gonna be okay. Yes absolutely. Dodgers clinched their fifth straight and now West title they popped the champagne they had the toast when they clinched the left birth they popped the champagne when they win the division. It is number 13 and 14 years when they win over the reds. Talked about this earlier Buffalo Beals. Celebrate the new high marks stadium in style. Big win over the Lions 10 point victory. Josh Allen combined for five touchdowns. Turns out he's very good football as we all know. And also under the weather right? Yeah apparently that was his flu game right. So Beals are 2 and O Lions are 1 and 1. Shamaq Vays has arams are very hopeful that they're in Donnellable play against

Giants. I might have football with what we've been here from Adam Schefter. Sounds like that is in fact going to happen. Indra reporter on the rest of league. Nico Collins to the Texans has that hamstring. He is very much uncertain for week two that took him against the Bengals. Patriot running back. Trogon Henderson says he is ready to go for week two. Patriot's trying to bounce back. LSU. So yesterday Sam left a pops up on the what were we doing? Sam left a pops up on the injury for he's the quarterback for LSU just transferred in. And he's suddenly doubtful. Catches everyone by surprise and now today he's questionable. He is upgraded. I had imagined he's going to play. You wait your on whether he's going to play or not. I don't know if you can but I imagine he has a guy. I'm sure you can on one of these. The general sites. I imagine he will be playing with you on anything against Ole Miss. NBA Pelicans and to Dek Bay the forward. I grew in a three year fifty five million dollar contract extension. Winnipeg Jets, not the New York Jets, believed that the doors open for a kind of Hello, Buck to stay with their team.

Kevin Sullivan who 16 years old has been named the US men's national team squad. Christian policy left off. I damn sure you follow this. Well for for for friendly. This is not like the next. It's just like yeah September October friendly. See like the future of US soccer. I don't know about that remains to be seen. But it feels like the policy thing is getting worse. They don't they don't he and Mauricio don't see either. No, they it's because he opted out of that gold cup thing. They never recovered. Nope. They never. I mean what what I actually had to look with with what Pachetino said. Like was the last week. Yeah, I actually thought yesterday. He talked yesterday yesterday again. I actually thought some of that was fake. No, it was real. Yeah. They do not care for each other. Argentina. They don't have an editing valve. That's that's that's part of their DNA. They say it like they mean it. Well, you mentioned Argentina. So the namesake of their team going to wrap it off after one more friendly. But that same person for Portugal. That would be Christian Ronaldo who's 41 years old named to the nation's league squad. So he carries on. What are we doing?

Well, when the national team coaches now his coach in. Oh, and Saudi Arabia or whatever. What do you expect? Well, that's a good. Like another Ronaldo like a Brazilian Ronaldo too. So you know, we call that a good recommendation. That's a good recommendation. RJ told about who you know, buddy. Hey, I'm going to call your references. And that's it. That's not it though. Ronaldo Vega emails in. Add me to the list. Raymond is incredible. He's honest. He's fair. And he's a den of honesty purist. Wow. Wow. I got the den of honesty purist. Yeah, I'll take that. Yeah. I mean, people adore you. It's been a good day. Yeah. It's been a great day because I'm adding positivity out there to the ether. I like things my way. My coffee, my schedule and my treatment. So I talked to my doctor about self-injecting with the VivGuard Hydrilo pre-filled syringe, which contains F.Guard Tiga, my alpha and high LaRona days QVFC. So what's more American on a Friday in the 9 o'clock hour than football picks and football Fridays on ESPN. The York Brought to you by Draft Kings. Draft Kings, the crown is yours. So last week against D.H.R. Apparently I'm going to be on their show at 545 today to make these picks and present them to those guys. How do you feel about that by the way? What? How do you feel about that? Feel great. I'll go listen to this. I'm going to be a carlin' at 1230 and D.H.R. at 545. Got nothing else better to do today than just going all these shows. I have things better to do. They've asked and I try to be a good teammate and how is what I'd like to do. So that being said, are you ready to make our football picks? Absolutely. Raymond is there is a little open you could give me for 18.

I got to go with the chiefs and lay the nana. DNR. All right. So last week, like I said, we went three and they did well. They did two and one. Ray, I know you have a couple of games you wanted to throw out there. Why don't you throw them out there and let's see if we are in agreement that we like these games. So one that jumped out to me, I think I Houston home. Lane two and a half against the Bengals. I do like that one for them. Yep. I kind of like that too. And the only reason and this is not a good reason, Dan. The other reason I don't like that is I want to root for Cincinnati, but I agree. I like Houston at home as well. Yeah. That one jumped out at me. I don't know that you'll like this one. I just it's a big number, but it still kind of fits. Boy, Tennessee did not look against the jets last week. The Eagles minus seven on the road. I think the Eagles are looking to have a bit more dominance than they had against the commies. I do think that they that they do cover that. I think that's probably right. Like I actually can't like, I don't think the Eagles are great, but I think there's this is a League of matchups, Dan, right?

Yes. The Eek, the matchup between Tennessee and the Eagles does not feel like this is going to go very well for the Titans. And the matchup of Tennessee against anybody, maybe this side of Rutgers is not going to go good against. But there are certain teams like you could say, like, okay, they don't match up terribly. They do not match up well against the Eagles. That is a awful matchup on paper. Yeah, absolutely. And think about it. Tennessee is on the verge of not only starting all in two, but you're ready to get two home games out of the way and you lose both of those. Yeah, but they're going to be a bad team. All right. Let me ask you this right now is cam ward the Titans quarterback next year. I think he is, but it's almost by the fall. No, I don't think so because they're going to be is they're going to be picking very high in this draft and a quarterback rich draft. They're going to have to fish or cut bait. And I think that they might have to cut bait here. I tend to lean on Dan's answer there. And my second question, do you believe that they had coached right now as they had coached next year? I know how much he's getting paid. And that's why I think he is at least to start. So Ray, I like, I really like Houston. I like Philly as well to cover and I don't like Philly. And do you have a third at it?

If I had to pick a third, I'd probably take the Panthers, got taken the two and a half in Atlanta. That's all I think, even though. Yeah, I'm not crazy about it. That's the one I like least. Nothing about that game. Do I do I like? All right. So I like two or three. I think they're good, good solid selections. RJ, where do you go here? All right. Well, this would be the first time you accused us of sharing a brain if this were. I was making picks against each other because on my, on my nice paper here. Yeah. I have the Houston Texans as well. Mine's two and a half pains me to do so. But I do not like hearing that Joe Burrows back is bothering him. That is. We're bringing up surgery. I don't know what's going on there. So that that concerned me and just the natural bounce back. I mean, Houston's not that bad. Buffalo might just be that good. So here's what I say. Yep. Right here. I think I think we'd lock in the Houston minus two and a half. Right? Rick has it on his list. You like it. Raymond likes it. Okay. I also like it. There it is. Dan, you feel you feel Houston's. I'm a big Houston guy. Absolutely. Yeah. Now, here's my concern. Now, what do we do? Because right now it's two and a half. If it jumps to three by the time I joined D.H.R.

this afternoon. I think back up in for discussion. Yeah. Let's let's let's open the dialogue if that happens. Okay. All right. So I'm going to write down Houston minus two and a half lock it in. That's our first game. All right. What else do you have? Next while you accused Rick of being a big fan of the the very dirty. Cool. Cool. Yeah. Well, not a question this time. Ray likes the Eagles. I like the Eagles as well. I just do not really see a way that that the times you tighten to beat many teams. Let alone this team. Philip Philadelphia was did they let feel like they left a lot on the bone last week. And Tennessee's the perfect team to put it all together again. So I like to fill it off as well. Yeah. I tend to agree with this. I'm hoping we can find other games we like more. But how does feeling not win this game by 10 points? Like you can't see 27 13. Like that. That's what this feels like to me. See 27 play over the well and still should be able to win this game. Yeah. Tennessee is just not good. They really feel it. Elf he is a team that knows how to win. They're not going to let them off the hook.

I was initially drawn to Jacksonville getting to and a half, but that's just so fishy. By my line of thinking I would then have to take the Denver Broncos and I'm not doing that. Because I think something might actually be wrong there. So I'm going to stay away with Denver. I don't know. I'm not. Here's the thing though. They didn't tackle. Like typically they're they're they're deep run defenses really, really good. I I'm not one week off of a loss on Monday night in Kansas City. I'm not going to sit here until you the Denver is not. Yeah. I'm not selling all my stock because I told yesterday I think Kansas City's back. But I'm almost when I'm in the position to pick them. Let alone the cover points. So past on that and where I ended up was the Baltimore Ravens against the Northern Saints. I think that seven and a half is just begging you to take the Saints in for that reason. I take the Baltimore Ravens. Okay. All right. So you have the Ravens minus the seven and a half. I'm not opposed to that. But I don't love that game. Dan, what's your you take on Baltimore, New Orleans? It's tricky because I think New Orleans is going to be one of those like pesky teams this year and their offense is good. I like it.

I'm kind of sold on Shuck. You know, he's got the big arm and they've been night and day better since he took over as the quarterback. But what's the line on that one? I'm looking for the game here. Seven and a half. Ravens by seven. I hate the seven and a half though. You know what I mean? So if a six and a half, you'd love it. Seven and a half, you don't love it. Yes. Because again, New Orleans was dead. They were down 21 last week and then came back and almost won that game. Like I could see a backdoor cover scenario here potentially. And you want to get involved in that. All right. So RJ, we respect you, but we're going to squash that. We're not going to take that game. Um, couple of games that I liked and I want to throw out to you. No one else seems to like this one. I kind of like Minnesota plus the four and a half. Um, the Bears defense looked awful. I think Florida is so good. But I'm not 100% convinced in that game. But I tend to lean Minnesota plus the four and a half. The only thing that concerns me about Minnesota, how many different quarterbacks are they going to try it out there on Sunday? Like until I until I can actually see like a couple of games here where I know who the hell's playing the most important position. Like I can't believe in the one way or the other.

All right. Here's a game that I think we're going to take because Rick sent it to me. He likes it. I like it. Um, like I said earlier, I've said all week. I'm highly unimpressed with Aaron Rodgers. I think he looked really old. That's not a very good defense. They went up against in Atlanta and the Falcons defense. I mean, really held the seal is to 13, right? Absolutely. They scored 20. Um, but a touchdown was from a great interception by T.J. What? We're going to take the Patriots and lay the five and a half. So mark that one down as well. Patriots minus the five and a half. Rick also likes Seattle. I like that game as well. I do. I think that, you know, Seattle's just, they're a better, complete football team than Arizona. And Arizona looked great last week and drew lock without getting any reps looked certainly serviceable in the opening week. What do you think? A lot of it. Three and a half. I mean, don't you think like based upon like we went back two weeks, right before we played a game and obviously the Darnal injury is a big factor in this thing.

But if I were to told you week two at home, Arizona's only getting three and a half against Seattle, you would have been shocked. I hate that we're now the show that just picks favorites though. We got Houston minus two and a half, New England minus five and a half and then Seattle minus three and a half. But I guess we're looking for where it's right. I think that'll change as the season progresses. But that line, that line looks too good to be true though, right? Like, and I get drew lock is a big reason for that. But I mean, like think about three and a half. Yeah. All right. So it's locked in. There you have it. See, we throw it out there. We discuss it. And now we feel good about these. So let's confirm these once again. We're going to take Houston minus two and a half. New England minus five and a half and Seattle minus three and a half. Are you going to spend these two? So there's confirmation. Now, if the line changes, we could also make changes. But at the moment, those are the three games that we in fact will go with four of us. Three lost on survivor. One remains. RJ, if you could play the open for me or Raymond, the open for me. This is a ride. This is the DNR survivor pool. All right. This won't take very long. It's only Rick and Rick sends in the Tampa Bay box to win.

They play Cleveland. They should and he should move on. Curious to me, they doesn't take the Niners, but I guess he saves them off for later on in the season. So that's it. Only Rick remains and Rick will take Tampa. Now, I want to tell you something, Dan. This is important to me. If you're curious about where your path could lead, come explore New York Tech for yourself at the open house at New York Tech's Long Island campus on October 18th or at the New York City campus on October the 25th. I went to New York Tech. So it's very personal for me. I got a great education, met some great people, great professors, a lot of adjunct people that are actually in the business that now have kind of gone back and they teach to help the future of this country. And it's not one of these schools where you're paying like $60,000 a year, $70,000 a year. It's much more reasonable and manageable than that. It's great professors. It's a beautiful campus. I went to the OSbury campus. It's gorgeous and I highly recommend New York Tech. You can learn more and you can register at nyit.edu-openhouse.

I'm talking to my new Duke Cannon Puck of soap. It's triple milled to last longer and retain its shape down to the last nub. In fantasy football terms, you could say this long lasting soap takes no buy weeks or that it's bench proof or even that it's a surefire league championship winner. Duke Cannon Pucks of soap, triple milled to last longer. I was content to just sit here and be quiet and not say anything. You brought me into this. Boy, that sounds a lot worse. I got to tell you also. Yeah, that doesn't hurt nearly as much this ride.

I'm glad for you. I'm glad for you. It was a football Monday, first football Monday of the season. And welcome back to one of our favorite guests, gentlemen by the name of Rex Ryan who couldn't wait to take shots at the Tennessee Titans for some reason. That whole team stinks and never hides how he feels and I love him for it. You know, I know we had that horse snap that time. Oh, dear. Yeah, you know, I'm sorry, the whore poop. Yeah, never change, Rex. Never change. Listen, Dave, it was a great Monday for you for obvious reasons. I've been to Helen back. I mean, they both have been to Helen. I'm still kind of in there. He's still kind of hanging out. Rick is actually one who's been to Helen. Well, you've been, you've been deeper into Helen. But you're, you're out of hell to begin with. Jackson Dart, will he know the new offense quickly enough? Yes. Will they be able to run the football behind the stuff in the line? Yes. What the Cowboys defense is going to be so much better? They've added all these players. It is hilarious to listen back to.

We kicked their asses what we did. B T A. Why? Why did you make it? BTA. I love this. There's a new sheriff in town, baby. And his name is John Harboh, 63. Or sooner. OK, I think that's enough of that. I missed the next couple of days. So I know Jolio filled in admirably for us. And got a text message from a buddy. Jolio's eyes on TV. He looks like Adam Gays. That's me. OK, this is the way it goes. And I'm going to hit the football fan. I hate you. I mean, this is a real. So I wonder why they brought HR to the meeting yesterday. Yeah, apparently Jolio's family is in a same boat as a lot of people's families who sit in my chair. Just like me. She's not fond of you. Power rankings. My mom is definitely number one on doesn't like you the most. You did eventually try to push for the olive branch here.

What would I need to do to win her over? Does she like magic? No. Magic is a nice thing to dangle there. Tell me about your family. It doesn't like me. Sing, sing. I'm sorry that I missed this. One person who's enjoyed on this show is RJ. Everybody loves RJ. Tim Haselback included. Other guys, I don't have the same relationship rapport I'm going to do with RJ. You really don't. Speaking of rapport and pushing, let's flesh it back to this classic. Push. I need more. Push. Shut your mouth and push. Yeah, the RJ delivers a baby with Dave. And we revisited that because if the doctor or the OBGYN, whichever would like to say, is giving that sort of attitude into the delivery room, it could get ugly. If I was RJ's lover and responsible for that baby, I would have fought you right in the delivery room. All right. Well, who is going to deliver the baby then? You would be there to deliver the baby, Dave. Nice discussion about peanut butter and chocolate,

which is a great combination. And the reason we got there, Dan, is looking at me funny. The reason we got there is because Dave was talking about things that mixed well together, like soccer and gaming. Soccer and gaming collide. It's like when the chocolate winds up with the peanut butter. Oh, yes. Soccer and gaming collide Saturday, September 26. Why are you laughing? It's a nice comparison. Thank you. What that allowed us to do is to break down one of the great philosophies about a holiday, which is RJ, the way he attacks Halloween. And I appreciate it. It's solely about the candy. Except about the kids and happy, whatever. It's about the candy. And I'm going to eat that candy. And the number one candy, like for RJ, and for many others, is recent, of course. Like if you're given the opportunity, you're just, I mean, you've seen me at the garden. No question. And those things are readily available. They're just as a jar. I'm just going to grab a handful. And then your mouth gets bored and you just want to eat something. You know, it is what it is. RJ did eventually irritate the guys yesterday because of commentary about the Metz fieldings. So what I'm going to do is just go back and see. You're a bad guy.

I am going to the store today. And I am buying hundreds of thousands of Reese's peanut buttercubs. I agree. Just leaving the office every single day. Yes. Eventually, this sort of escalated to a place that made me very uncomfortable. You never been stabbed, have you? That's a threat. 20 seconds, right? 20.10. I don't know. So I'm a dangly angry. You're going to keep it in this pretty small. No way. We're good. I also, by the way, for the record, have never been stabbed. I think I know too much now. Yeah. None of us have ever been stabbed. I'd like to keep that way. HR, if you're listening, please let us come back next week. Safe. That's it. That's beautiful. Rule 76. No excuses, put like a champ, grass, or rather, the bird, and enjoy all your football all weekend long. ESP and New York and MSG. Thanks for listening to the DPA hero and Rothen Bird podcast. I'm just trying to have the best possible show. That's what I'm trying to do. What does that start?
