3:08talk about football, Jimmy, this started well, you can see that, which was a little bit annoying, but I felt a force even from the off-tidate, did they look like they looked at it and they looked like they wanted to play with the bread per person. My initial assessment from the game, he was the first five minutes, I thought we come out to block it quite quickly, press really well, really high intensity up the pitch, but I feel like after that, it died really quick, we had that chance in 20 seconds and then I feel like we fizzled out further the mains of the half, I thought it was a number of two, but by the way, the bar is a barriots and coca, I thought they ran the show on the first half an hour, I feel like every time we were pressing, we were pressing really high, really high intensity, but we went to the uni, we were going on one and two, so E's I was going and then every time E's I could go, the wingers went looking onto the full backs, or they went looking onto the six and then every time they turned, they'd have the whole picture of the pitch pretty much and it was evident with their goal as well, you know, you're in, all of a sudden it drops deep, which creates a bit of an overload in the middle for them and tens on the arctic and then the advantageous looks

4:10in between care has, and Van Dyke bit poor from care, he's not checked his blind side as he was, and then obviously he goes through and scores again, and I'm field, but yeah, I think first half and I would have thought they were the better side, they had all of the ball quite well, but I feel like once we got that goal, we put our arcing together a little bit and we took control of the game, thought second half we were the better side, obviously last five, Tim, in the minute you have your back against the wall, don't you win the attation of goal, but again, overall I'm really happy with the footballs. Yeah, then if you had the manager after the game, Leon and Lee talked about the fact that how I'd like to go set up, surprised them a little bit, he took responsibility for some of those gaps, which I'm quite into, for manager doing this, and it's always easy to do when you've won, isn't it? First half was my fault, hold your hands up, second half to disaw, so I think those gaps did close, second half you saw sort of lesser them, so whatever technical changes that they made work, but I enjoyed how they got themselves back into the game, regardless from the 1-0 from the 5 minutes, it felt to me that they just had, there was one

5:16two many athletic players just went down injured and they were like, oh, sod this, did they seem to get the backs up in the crowd with the same, and everyone, players and fans all decided that little pool in his score? Yeah, I think they did a great job, the guys had gone with the players of referee in that game, I think, it was pretty impressive, I think there was only one fellow on the bench who did Nassfeli Elacard, everyone else asked for one, and I thought that was a book of all of these days, but clearly not. Yeah, I liked that area, it all came out and said that afterwards, because it kind of what it looked like to me when I watched it, so like you said before about them being, you know, maybe not working as well, the upswitch game, we worked really well, it looked like a really well-oiled machine, so he's obviously looked at what they were doing and then put the side out for that, and watching them in the first half, it just wasn't quite working, which makes sense for him saying he kind of picked the team for a slightly different side of the day, we're playing, but like he said, smooth seas, don't make for skilled sailors, and you need adversity, you need to go one little down, and I think to build our belief as a fan base and as the team as well, we need to come back from some of them little, and we've done it a few times this year now, which is really

6:19interesting in the first two, we're good players, but and O'Neill said on a few shows, we would have lost them last year, we are building that belief and that momentum towards being almost, you know, the mentality, months as again, where it doesn't matter what happens, we can always tend some to namb, but yeah, I agree, it was a bit of a feat in the first half, because I think sometimes with Adleti, you give them that yard dog like, tickl-label, and you forget that they've got some fucking really good players in there, you know, and you mention Lentay Scoran, I think the only thing that we made a mistake of as Liverpool fans last night was not betting on it, he was going to score, because it's like when a lad goes back to his old club, do you always score goals, don't de-fupal as this way? When they picked him right back, I thought we were going to be all right, when he scored from back against us before, though, and he, so yeah, it's just one of them things, and we're playing sometimes, they just do what they do with the places they do, and yeah, on the caps of the first half, I think the frustrating thing for me was that the shape kind of looked okay, I've watched it back this morning to see if anyone was, you know, wildly out of

7:22position, but it wasn't like, for example, Newcastle where there was just sort of, you know, where is the midfield, a fall for the first goal in particular, when you watch it back, so Bosnian McAllister, pretty close to the player who's playing that ball, there's just not quite enough kind of, you know, effort or whatever it is, like desire, you know, to sort of get in there and make it difficult for the passie, you feel like, you know, you just want that, you know, Mascarana would have been jump, jumped, jumped on the ball, and so I felt like they were there, and I then for the one that actually foreshade to be more the goal was the long shot, and it's a brilliant save by Alison, but, you know, to give him that time, and then again, you watch it back, and so Bosnian is right on top of him, but sort of turns his back a little bit, so for both of them, those incidents in particular, the goal and the great save from Alison, I don't actually think it was a problem with shape or the problem with midfield as vacatant, he was there, it was just a little bit of,

8:23come on, just get yourself in the way. Yeah, to be honest, I agree with their AOLIS comments, and I thought a bit more that I could see that Atleti had a plan to stop us, rather than it being that they were cutting through us time and time again, the word, there was couple of occasions, and the goal is a goal I've seen as concede quite a few times over the last few seasons, but I didn't think it was coming, I thought we were on top, and even when they scored my feeling, even then when we kind of go back to what AOLIS says of them kind of surprising us, I still thought I think we'll win. Yeah, I thought we were playing well enough, and it was more a case of trying to figure out what it was they were doing to stop us playing, so I thought they were quite good at blocking vs. to EZAC, there was a few times where even when they dropped really deep, when vs. Andy EZAC had dropped really deep, they were blocking, as soon as the balls dinked into vs., because he does it so quick, doesn't he vs plays things before, before it's even

9:26at him sometimes, but Adleti were there ready to block that obvious shot, that obvious sorry pass to EZAC, so it was that I thought we worked out well, manager and team with a little bit of half time sort of tweaking, and I think you sort of see it where vs in particular I think really grows into the game, he's a funny one to watch sometimes because he is sort of so light, and as I say, he's sometimes on the balls such a small amount of time, but he's so impactful and influential at times that when it's not working it sort of looks like what does he do kind of thing, but he and Engemauer I thought have a word with themselves as much as anything and like fight their way into it, and just make sure that they're not going to be pushed off it, and that they are going to be kind of like Terry or like and really tenacious where it's needed, because that is the challenge,

10:29as you say, they've got some really good players, they always remind me a little bit of play and I've snore play in Adleti, in that same way that you kind of forget that they're not just a pain in the other side, and not just villains, they are villains, and like that was the thing that I remember, as soon as the game started, I hate these guys. I don't have your sound in me. Yeah, I prefer Raelle, I'd like to say that to everyone watching him Madrid, I find Adleti much more annoying than Raelle, but they are really technically good, they've got a combination of everything, they've got some fantastic plays that made some really good signers, and they've got, when players like Alvarez, people that you just know have got extreme qualities are Black as well, I think Andy. Some of the saves are unbelievable. Yeah, I completely was still there. I was like, this new fella is just going to play for us, that's a good for him. I think to be honest, they're probably saying the same thing, because we thought, I guess the football world might have thought that we were facing Alisson out, and then he's just back,

11:31I think Oblach's done the same thing, they bought a new fella in, Oblach's still like, I'll play Adrean it as well, and then the manager looked at him and thinks, he's really a massive, yeah. Yeah, so they've still got all of those things, they've got all of those qualities, and I thought it was going to take some real battling qualities and some real football quality for Liverpool to turn it round, but I did think they were going to, and I thought it was a really positive thing, I love this sort of stage in a new manager's career with us, because you do get to see the things that are still being worked on, and you're sort of starting to see things, sort of putting into flour kind of things, so I think it's exactly, in the same way that all of our games so far are the kind of tests that you sort of want. I've quite enjoyed the way the fixtures have fell, because they are, in a sense, practice in a way, they're not pre-season, and it's the early season against teams that you feel

12:33like you should beat, and obviously I include Newcastle and Forrest in them, we should be winning them games, but you can see where we're going, and that we do win one against another team that we should be winning. And then I think the first game of the Champions League, especially in the new system, has got that kind of feel as well, and I'm not going to say it felt flat. I was remembering the laver coos in game where the Lonzo comes back, and I was at that one, and I remember thinking I don't understand why this kind of doesn't feel as big as it may be sure, and I do think it's something to do with the system, and maybe something to do with the way the two teams went at it last night, and then with it being early, you kind of think it was weirdly seemed like it was going to finish two-one from quite far out, you know what I mean. So there was something about that which I enjoyed in terms of it being something which we're all enjoying us building towards. Yeah, I was good at putting out the agenda, actually I did really feel in the ground that there was a distinct lack of panic when we went on. You could pay that to Forrest,

13:33which was not like that at all, so you can put it down there, it's in the new manager, but I think it's maybe a little bit of, you know, we don't quite know how many wins, still you need sort of in this tournament, maybe it's a different cloud to the Premier League cloud, I don't know, but I agree with Adam, Jimmy, I felt like we went one little down, and listen, no one's delighted to concede, but it wasn't like head loss all over the place, like the husband, you know, for certainly games for me, so I think when you look at the new castle and the Forrest game, though, we've proved that we can go down a goal and then still court-claw it back, I know. You think it builds a bit of trust? Yes, I think we've built a little bit of trust in that, like I knew we were going to go one little down, actually I could just tell I knew we were going to go one little down, like the minute they scored, that's what I didn't panic, because I was like I knew it was going to happen, and I had to go in the game. Yeah, and I was like I had to feel we were going to go in the game as well, I said we were going to beat them three, three, four, one, I knew we were going one little down, and I know we'll get a couple goals, but that's just the way that let's go play as well, like they're going to come at you quite aggressive at the start, like you

14:35say, well that's him, you only start a football, but they can play football as well, like you know, there was a bit in the first half where they had the ball there right, sense of that, and they just played, it played, that was then I just went to the other side of the left, and I was like well, you can actually play football these as well, but I think that's what you were saying before, Leon is that we can now face adversity, and we can now deal with it, and the fact that we've done it against Alex, we've got to do it, and we've actually won that, probably the biggest sat, we've faced so far this season, is a massive, massive positive going into the next couple games, and I've only got three games left until the international break, but the three games have got, they're all two fixtures, spares and the cup's going to be as, the following's going to be up, because they're needing the win, people are on the moment, following because they're under a new manager, and more than likely we'll get the three points, but it's going to be a total disaster and people expected to be, and then both of ways always the other one, it's a watch 12 hour round, it's a 10, 12 hour round step, they're a good side as well, so again, Eddie Olleren, Keir has gone back to their old place, it's gone up, it's gone up here, it's got to have touched these last couple games, so the fact that we can get over this course of half a lump for me is a massive positive,

15:36so if we do go down in the next couple games, I've got the faith in the latter that they can decambring up back, because the four got the quality there, you see in the minute, the minute the goal went down, the goal went in, sorry, another it went down, and the minute's up, it's like, got his goal, put the ball up, say back to the halfway line, we're getting another one before half, obviously we didn't big up, we just have to, the halfway point, but it shows that they want to work, we took another one with his last season, we can see it, we're all, we're, Osas fans, we're all for fuck's sake, we're all mowing, we're all grown, and they're all walking back to the halfway line with the Redstone, Van Dyke as well, whereas the minute we can see it, Van Dyke's like, come on, let's go boys, let's go under all the road, they're all getting back into position, back into shape, already, so they got it again, and I think it could be done to the manager though, because they've decided to go off faith in this manager now, whereas last year, the start of the board, they were playing it was quite born, it was quite slow, it was slow pace, and they look at it back on, we're not going to find a way back into this game because they're going to, they're going to shoot up shot now, whereas the minute they got their goal, the regrouped, and we went and got to the two and got to the win, which is massive because it's our artist, on paper, it's our artist game, in the Champions League so far.

16:38Yeah, that's all fair, let's talk about some specific positions on the pitch and we'll start with the midfield, we've touched on it, or ideally on the other, the spaces, the baby wasn't in the first hour, we're not necessarily the spaces, but the desire to close down, but it's funny isn't it, because if they were sat in, they'd be like, well we won the fucking game, what are you on about? Do you know what I mean? Like, one of them scored the equaliser, the other one scored the winner, and I thought individually, especially on the ball, both of them played really well, so it's that funny, so the midfield paradox, and it's a reminder though that although we can discuss blends and although we can discuss styles and what might be missing, individually, don't know if that plays at all. Understand the irony of a fellow in the suit discussion in the game last night, when I say, I think sometimes we overanalyze a game football, but here we are the next day, overanalyzing the game football, but I think we become a possessive cany play with him and is it the right fit and stuff like that, and we've had all of our store fabled history of good stuff is when some fellow was playing right back on

17:42he didn't play there, when the injured keeper got injured and it was a subkeeper, when was all the kids who winning the stuff, and that works all the time, the important thing always is with the footballers, the result at the end of it, you know, Camercalistin and Suboslai play well together, well the fucking did all right last night, will there be space sometimes in a game football for someone else to run into? Well yeah, because it's quite a big pitch and there's only 22 fellows on it, so you know these kind of things do always happen and you know with keg as a keg as seems to have got a lot of grief from last night about it was his fault for that goal, maybe he was a bit of a position and challenged for them definitely last night and he could have done a bit better, but there was 11 other fellows who were trying to kick the football in the back of the other net, who were also in some way responsible happen and so in terms of the midfield stuff, it was interesting last night, Gravenbeerch came on and looked like he weren't sure about play and talking anymore. He looked like he'd been told he wasn't coming on or that the pite's are after. Yeah, that's what he looked like. So don't, don't, don't need these strategies like all great, that goes to a lounge. Yeah, see what someone who's up to, uh, have a bit, yeah, then so

18:45the leaves on the pitch, that's how it feels. I guess the old dude coming in out of form and that's why it's Andy when you've got people who can come in and out and stuff like that, you know, I remember the start of last year when we signed the other lands and everyone was saying, you know, last start of last season's a Bosley won't get a game this year and he played in every position. But I got keeper and was pretty much the player of the year. You know, they are all really good at stuff. Are the ideal to play there every week? Absolutely not, but they're good enough to be able to sit in and do jobs. Um, midfield backs, how many times you wear Gerard and fucking lamppard come play together? Baby, fucking good, if you give them a go, because they're both really good to football and they can kick the ball in the back of the net. So I think we sometimes become obsessed and especially in this six desire in Liverpool fans, I want to get one of these fabled sixes in the game. I've got a pro mascarano for it. You have mentioned them, the mascarano alarm went off when I went out, but I brought it up. So I'm part of the problem of the solution. Um, I feel on that individually to play well. Yeah, it's weird one. And just to sort of carry on what Leon was saying really, I sort of think that we might made myself included in danger of

19:48a bit of confirmation power, should be somebody like Subos like, as you say, it was the same start of last season. We were kind of expecting him to be the one who was who was phased out and it was anything but and again, we're seeing that, um, you know, out of out of McAllister, Gravenburg and Subos like, it's Gravenburg the one that looks a little bit, a little bit full on and lost. And that would, he would have been the third most likely, probably if I was, if you'd asked me at the start of the season, um, who, who I thought after McAllister's obviously ball last season. And Subos like, is a really interesting case isn't he? Because we are, there's very mixed opinions about him in lots of different ways among among the fan base. And yet, yet managers to keep picking him, you know, he's one of the first names on the team. She for various managers isn't he? So, um, and listen, I think he's in the things that he does. I think, I think you see, last night, such a great example of his game. I think that there are times

20:49where you sort of, you're kind of, you've seen other midfielders play in there being able to pass it a bit better. And I feel, you know, even last night I've found that a little bit frustrating. But it's not just, it's not just mindless running that he does. You know, there's a lot, there's a lot else there that he's bringing. And in terms of his attacking talent, that is the sort of thing, the sort of goal that he scores last night, which never mind being able to do it. A lot of armyed fielders that I can think of throughout my lifetime of watching Liverpool, wouldn't have even attempted it. You know, they wouldn't, they wouldn't have been kind of making that run and being, you know, making sure that they were on the end of the one two and things like that. So, there's, there's so much that he can bring to a sort of work in process progress type side. And yeah, Graven Birch was, I was, I was going to mention that to be honest, because he did look drunk. I wasn't going to say drunk. Maybe full too much, too much toast, I was thinking. Yeah. But yeah, you came on at the same time as, as Frimpong and Frimpong is one that I've been

21:53feeling a bit sorry for, but also sort of not looking forward to him appearing so in a sense, I was thinking, oh, what's going to happen here? And it was Graven Birch. There was, there was the one that was really, really poor and didn't seem to be, you know, one of those performances where it's like you, you were doing an experiment to do everything wrong. It was him that was doing that, Frimpong did that, did all right, basically. I think they might have got each other's boots on that what it was. Might have been. Well, I mean, it was going to be, we wanted to be last questions, but badly, who was the best sub? Who's the best sub of the night? Kuh Mas, Kuh Mas. Kuh Mas, yeah, did a big, big free bit. It's for Kossa Shemikas, where he came on, just loads of sensible stuff. Just popping it off, being an apple, yeah, give it here. It was unbelievable. What was that? No, no, honestly, it just like loads of sense. It's a bit embarrassing as well. When he came on against Forest, I was in a bad mood at the time, but I was a bit like, I can't believe this is happening. Yeah, Kuh Mas. He's been limited for years and now he's back being limited, but no, he was good. I thought it was great. When he come on last night, it really kind of

22:54understated, right? Just looked like a national team captain coming onto the pitch to source a few things out and just be really sensible. Just a little bit more on the midfield too, Jimmy, to give you a chance to talk about them individually. It's two really nice goals. It has to be said, as well. Macalus is a real blam, and I think Subosly takes it really well in that. He just kind of like strokes it in and he's known for his power. Subosly, but I think it's a smart finish. I think you just realised, no, actually, you just need to pass this into the corner. I think the two of them complement him really well because they're all the are both really well-rounded and on Macalusly, it's like a little bit, whereas Subosly has got the likes to source it to cover his ass. For me, going forward though, I'd like to see Gravmitra coming for Vettra a little bit because I don't feel like Vettra, he's struggling a little bit. He looks like a kid in the park. He's struggling a little bit on the ball. I feel like he does a lot of things, and you know, wow, what a footballer he is, but then he does a few things like he's a Sunday league footballer, and he's so like one end of the scale and then the other end of the scale, in some things,

23:58and it probably blows my mind. I feel like the things that he's struggling with, that can't be to stay, can't be to eat, can't become an exceptional footballer for us. I feel like maybe playing Subosly a little bit further up in that tunnel might do it a little bit better because you've got to think that my field is a league, with a my field three. I think they might have missed Gravpow a bit, but then players you just mentioned. If you're potentially difference between the Ipswich one because I think Vett had all the attention of their defensive players because Gravpow was like the Joker in the pack against Ipswich, wasn't he? So I feel like that might have been a factor there. But I feel like Vett as well also compliments McCallister quite well because a short analogy I've got is when a team's got a good six, they've got a really good 10, so you look at the likes of Chelsea, they've got Kai Sey, they've got Paran, Enzo Fernandez, but you've got Col Paran, there's absolutely brilliant. Arsenal, Mano, England, Rice, City, they've now got Enzo and Roddry, and then they've got Cher, he've fallen, they've got all these talented players, whereas when we played at Newcastle for example, we didn't have any like six, so they say, whereas when McCallister come in on 70th, the Newcastle, he's not being taken

25:01off the squad since and he's looked like one of our better players as any since he's come on, whereas at Newcastle Vett didn't really look the part and then at Forest and Ipswich, he looked the e-look decent, but it's because he had two people behind him who were going to cover his tracks running when he went, so I also think but to talk about the service line, McCallister a bit more, I think McCallister has been absolutely exceptional to start the season, I think people, people is critical especially last season and I realised in the years of it is a brilliant football and he should be playing for Liverpool, he struggled last season and that could be down to the well-cooked, that could be down to, we were just shit and I know a lot of people got the blame last season, Gachpur and McCallister being two of them and the two of them have sort of like rejuvenised their season so far and I've been really happy with them, I've been with them, with the players because the above could play as the above quality footballers and we've seen that before in previous years, this season we won the league, they were two really important players, I said when we won the league, McCallister was our most important player and I always think when we play well, when McCallister plays well we play well, if you take him out, any other

26:02stinker we have a stinker, pretty much and it's because he does so much the people in the team are willing to do, if he plays alongside a Graven pitch or Swabberslide or whether it be Veits as well in that sort of mix, whatever part of the ship it is, he's got the ability to get the ball on the arthain and he sees the whole pitch in, and it's first touch he turns and he can see the pitch, he knows where the pitch is and his face is, his face pass is always a positive pass whereas the likes of Graven pitch for example, his face pass is him driving forward that's how he begins with the ball of the pitch whereas McCallister is quite comfortable getting the ball off either the centre backs or the full backs and turning on it and playing a pass and also being that sort of late running into the box that you see when it's goal last night, he wishes later on the box, strike with the end goal but he also offers that sort of offensive side as well where if they want it you're on the counter attack he's there and that's what I like about a row whole playing the right back as well as I feel like it offers that little bit more security with him, it's sorted the shape so much as I think, like McCallister isn't the most physical is he and he never will be.

27:05He's aggressive and that's what he needs. I think you can tell when the shape's good because he's able to be good against the ball, I think last season when he was sort of arriving too late for things it was always like chasing shadows because the shape was poor and especially like right back I think the big runners sorted so many things out, it basically mended everyone's, everyone's able to do what they need to do in that shape. Well, of course we've got gaps haven't needed. And again, like you said McCallister, he chased a lot of shadows last season, so good last season, quite a lot but when you're playing someone when you've got that sort of defensive support behind you, we're winning just look back he's like okay I've got somebody there just in case so I can't take that little risk and gamble going forward but then he's also got somebody alongside him in Subberslide who can cover and use that recovery pace so I feel like he's a like him playing alongside Subberslide because of his aggression and even the fact he gets on a card really, really, really, he does really well to knock it, but again and still gets stuck in and he does all the nitty-gritty stuff that a lot of people don't really do in this side and I feel like you need one of them and that especially in your field today and he in Subberslide compliments

28:06he should have really well because he does that with a Subberslide all coverage yards in case he's struggling and he gets back in and then that's where the shape gets all to set again. So to Dan see a question John, I'm made up to do them so far.
