The first thing I want to talk about and go ahead and three questions and we will get to them. This is all about you guys tonight. And we will talk through some things, we'll answer your questions, we'll do that. The first thing I want to talk about is the offensive line for Ohio State because I tweeted out a question, say, hey, what's your major concern for the game? And most of the answers were about the offensive line at B. Cocker M210, blocking college Simmons if they move around the defense or if they don't. Yeah, that's also a concern. He's a concern in one place or in many places or in some combination of one and many places. Yeah, adjacent small 36 the offensive wide and the running game. And then sports Z1 offensive line as always. And yes, as always. And so that's kind of where I want to start because time we went into

6:23this whole off season talking about how good Ohio State's offensive line is going to be or that it was going to be very good, good enough. And then they go and give up two sacks to ball state. So if they give up two sacks to ball state, it doesn't equate to four or five against Texas, especially now the good news is those are both blitzes or bad news is that was your both blitzes. However, you want to look at it. It's not necessarily all the offensive lines. Jacob Jackson gave up one of those. So you're going to see the new offensive line with their struggles, all the middle struggles, they got better for it. They can know what to look for now, whatever all that against Texas. They really don't know what to expect. They're going back and looking at Georgia film from like 2022 and well, my stamp was there, you know, all throughout looking a little bit at the Texas state stuff. Nothing that's going to tell you too much. But I've said it. You probably said it. If Ohio State, my belief is Ohio State protects Julian saying they win. So how do you agree? It all comes down to the Ohio State offensive line for me. Yeah. If you're looking at questions,

7:27concerns, I think there's plenty of areas where you can have concerns. But if you're asking me, what is one thing that's going to decide this game? How often does Texas get to Julian saying, how much time does Julian say and have? Because if you know, if there's no past Russian, Texas has to count four Mississippi's before they rush. Oh, Ohio State scored 40 points. If he's running for his life, all game, they might not score 20 points. So then the question is kind of like, okay, where in the middle does this fall that it's, you know, we're in the middle on that spectrum does this fall in this game? 8:30of the run game were pretty easily fixed. We'll see, you know, this is such a step up in competition. I think it's an open question. Yeah. In Texas state, today's salad job against Texas in the run game. So there's some, you know, reason to be optimistic there. Now, how much was Texas doing to stop it, you know, in terms of what they'll be doing this week. This is, you know, that's, we'll find that out. I don't think it's going to be an easy thing to run the ball. It hasn't been the last two times. Now this time, they'll have Bo Jackson, but in 2024, they had Will Howard, Quintia, Judd, Kins and Trabia Henderson. And they still were held under 100 yards, just like they were last year. But I mean, I was going to say, they don't need to rush for 100 yards to win this week. They didn't need it the last two years. So that's why I am just so high on Julian San right now that I feel like as long as he gets time, he's going to do, he's going to do enough for, do more than enough. But will he have time? Ian Moore and Philip Daniels, I think they

9:35had rougher games and run blocking, the past blocking last week. Although Philip Daniels did have a web on the past block that led to the blitz coming home, if I recall, getting home. Collins Simmons, they're going to know where he is. And I'm wondering if it's those late blitzes that end up making the most noise because Collins Simmons is pretty quiet against Ohio State last year. He was. And one of the two sacks that Ball State got last week was on Tony, it was a green dog. Now this is the kind of thing that I've been saying this for years. This is not just, you know, I mentioned it to Ross Folton was like, Hey, hey, Rob, did you see that green dog? Did you see the green dog? He says, is that what that was called? That was how that conversation went. And then I let him say it on the show. So that is not how it went. That is not all how that conversation went. But a green dog is basically like the middle linebacker sitting there and he doesn't have anything to do. So he's like, well, might as well go blitz now. And then look, my Delmarie was kind of tied up with someone else and didn't get over in time. And that was one of the

10:40sacks. So I am expecting Raheem Biles to be very active in terms of the past rush. I'm expecting Collins Simmons to get moved around a lot. Like they they moved him a little bit last week. I think you're going to see those guys come from all sorts of different places, all sorts of different angles. That once again, like this, I cannot get past this. Every time I, you know, we wrote our predictions for the site and our staff picks those will go up on Friday. But I keep just going around in circles because it's like, I see lots of reasons that Ohio's two should win. But these are all the things that I was saying before the cotton bowl last year against Miami, the Miami cotton bowl, not the Texas cotton bowl. And it was like, well, as long as they can protect Julian Sain, I think they win this game by two scores. And then what happened? And then what happened? Yeah, they did not protect him. I think this is a more equipped Julian Sain to handle some of that pressure. They've learned some things and he's obviously spent the offseason on dealing with that sort of pressure and either getting out of dodge or

11:41or getting rid of the ball. Adam Baker, 1390 asks, starting offensive line on Saturday. I think they're going to stick with Filipinos. I think so. Austin, Sierra Vell, the right guard, look at my gallery left guard, in more left tackle Carson Hismann at center. Brian Dason, they were going to evaluate it. I think they were, I think once Filipinos came back and had the one bad moment, Patrick came back in. But after that seemed like they were satisfied. So I would expect that to continue. I don't. Would you, would you rotate and you know, bring in game band sickle and move Austin, Sierra Vell out to tackle and let Filipinos watch the ride. It was asked if that was planned. I think Austin, Sierra Vell was asked if that was planned. And everybody's like, well, yeah, you always got to be ready. You know, it's like, yeah, sure. We've got depth. We could play any depth we want. That was not planned. No, no, that was not planned. And this week, I certainly don't think that's something that they're going to, you know,

12:41you know, you're taking pictures with their kids and it's like, and now let's do a silly one. Like, oh, now we're going to do, now we're going to change it up. We're going to mix it up just for fun. I don't think they're doing that. I think that's a break glass encase of emergency kind of thing. Absolutely could see it happening. But I don't, I don't think they're looking at this and saying, all right, you know, like when Ohio State was down here in 2006, with Jim Pressel, there was a drive in the second quarter, where it was just like, and now the twos are in the offensive line. I'm not expecting that on Saturday night here. And I don't think it's even necessarily going to be, all right, gave Ben sickle's going to go in at right guard and Austin, Sierra Vell's going to go in at right tackle for the third drive. We're just going to try something and get just, just, you know, we don't want things to get stale. We're going to keep, we're going to keep things fresh. We're going to just mix it, mix it and someone else. It'll be fine. We'll try something new. I don't think that's, I think it's going to be, you go with the line you're going with. And then if it doesn't work, all right, you try something else. From Dr. O'Reilly Dragon, who is the backup for Phillips? I prefer Phil Daniels. I'm guessing you're saying that that's Austin, Sierra Vell's.

13:44Yes. Yeah. Yeah. And gave Ben sickle. So I'll last one. Yeah. You saw how that goes. So that's the answer to that one. How do you think the running game is going to go for Ohio State? Because I, if they're rest for 120 yards, that's kind of where I'm at right now, like 110 to 120 yards. If they do more than that, fantastic for them. But I think there's going to be maybe like a 40 yarder in there or something to boost those numbers. Do you think they get over 100 yards finally? I think there's a pretty good chance they do just because Texas's defense gave up some big hitters to Texas state. Now they were, again, they were not doing anything crazy. Will Mustjamp kept it relatively plain last week. And Ohio State's obviously going to have a lot of stuff thrown at them. But you assume they have had a pretty good game plan for Jeremiah Smith the last couple of years, which is you more or less allocate two people to him, which then potentially opened some other stuff up. So I would assume that you would probably, you know,

14:47I think they're going to be able to run the ball a little better now than they did last year. And you know, the Jeremiah Smith thing is only going to be, you know, as much or more than it was last year. So I am anticipating they're going to be able to run the ball. If they run the ball, 30 times or 120 yards, I think that's probably, you know, four yards of carry. They don't have people crazy. If they can just run the ball enough to keep Texas honest, that's probably going to be enough for them. But are we factoring sacks into those numbers? You know, if you, you know, if it's four yards of carry sack adjusted, where you're taking the sacks off that number, either you're running the ball much better than that and you're in good shape or you're not giving up many sacks and you're probably in good shape. Yeah, I'm just looking real quick to see how many sacks Texas had against Ohio State last year and that was zero and then 2024 too.

15:52So once they finally got a mobile quarterback last year, after getting rid of Will Howard, that statue, well, that was interesting. I don't, but that was also such a conservative game plan that there's no seven step drops or anything like that. This is last year's game and this year's game, I think, are going to have bear only a scant resent. I mean, it's the same helmets on the field, but it's, I think it's going to bear very little resemblance to last year. Because last year, it was what seven, nothing at half and 14, nothing with two minutes left in the game. I just, you're going to have more points this year. I think you're going to, I think both teams are going to score substantially more points this year. So anything else on the offensive line, we can move forward with the show.
