For Hashtag Tag we shared the stuff that's a problem now, but was nothing 10 years ago! Emily, Shunda, Kave and more helped add to the list!
Hashtag tag time we are looking for
Hashtag

What is something that is a problem today
that wasn't a problem before?
It's kind of like radio Buzzfeed
is what I think of with Hashtag tag
because I found a list of some people
that just on the internet said like
watching a 10 second video
that somehow has three ads in Hashtag
You wanna like that?
I get so irritated, the biggest irritation to me
is whenever I go on YouTube to watch a commercial
like I'm looking for a specific commercial
or even a movie trailer.
And I got to watch commercials to watch the commercial.
Stakes.
You know what I have beef with?
What?
The fact that streaming services have the audacity
to release shows every single week
instead of all at once for me to binge.
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
Whenever Netflix first rolled out, it wasn't.
Exactly.
What else we got?
101, 995, 101 7.
We've talked about it before QR code menus
at restaurants.
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
Thanks a lot, COVID, appreciate it.
Oh my goodness, yeah, the constant QR codes,
the constant apps, the constant subscriptions.
601, 995, 101 7, Mary said everything being a subscription.
2014, me bought software once
and I owned it.
Now I'm renting my whole digital life.
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
Okay, on the text line saying those fake AI accounts
on social media weren't a thing until recently.
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
What else you got?
601, 995, 101 7.
It is our phone number.
Emily, dog rumour, Emily's back.
She's been gone for a while.
Glad to have you back.
She said it takes 90 bucks to fill up my new dog ruming van
that I got in December.
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
Sure wasn't like that.
But I have hope that it'll be okay again.
I think it's crossed.
That's kind of how the gas prices are.
They go up, they go down, hopefully they come back down.
So what do you wanna add for Hashtag tag to play?
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
What is something that's a problem now
that was not a problem 10 years ago
and shout out to our first time texture here?
They say having to pay for a movie on a streaming service,
I already pay for Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
I was getting made fun of the other day
from some of my friends because I was complaining.
I wanted to watch a movie
and I couldn't find it free anywhere.
And they were like, well, it's $2.99 to rent.
It's like, that's ridiculous.
But I've already paying so much in streaming service.
I know.
6-0-1, 995-101-7.
We got another first time texture.
Hey.
They say play dates.
We used to just knock on the door of our friends' houses.
Now you gotta call the mom and set up a date
and meet at the park or the person's house
and they're an introvert.
So they don't wanna be chatting up the moms too.

Shonda writes,
a parent support at school, there was way more.
I remember when I wanted to be on the PTO board
at RHS about five years ago and I couldn't.
Now we are begging people to get involved.
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
Rachel's is so good saying the fear of not knowing
whether your job will still be yours in a few years
because they are.
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
6-0-1-9-9-5-101-7.
Short form contents explosion in the last five to eight years
has created a vicious, unhealthy cycle of dopamine
that for those truly addicted is a hard to break out of.
People don't even know what they're swiping for
on IG, YouTube, Shorts, TikTok.
It's just the dopamine.
Hashtag.
You wanna like that?
That is bad.
Like all open up like Reels or whatever and just scroll
and scroll and scroll every video is better than last one.
Well, and you don't even realize how much it's affecting
like your brain for the rest of the day.
If that's the first thing you do in the morning
it's just scroll and scroll and you get all that dopamine.
And then your day your brain's gonna be off for the rest of the day
because you had all that dopamine
first thing in the morning.
So rather than scrolling through Reels or TikToks or whatever,
open up the Y-101 app.
You don't have to scroll, just start listening to our show
as soon as you open your eyes.
Way better for your brain.
Ah, absolutely.
If there's one thing that we're known for, Allison,
it is being good for people's brains.
Yes.
