Welcome back to with the first pick.
We're going team by team to do the perfect mock draft and today, Jacksonville Jaguars.
You do, you do, you do well or no?
Doo-wo.
Liam Cohen.
Clip that and learn it.
I'm just kidding.
All right.
I'm Ryan Wilson.
That's former Titans GM.
Rand Carton.
The Jaguars, if some call it, have 11 picks in the 2026 draft and they have not been
busy at all in free agency, Rand, at least in the eyes of some fans.
They read up Monteric Brown, which makes sense and they sign Chris Rodriguez as a backup
running back in that RB room.
But a lot of directions we can go here, they don't pick until 56 as part of the Travis
Hunter trade.
So if you want to consider Travis Hunter, your first round pick, that's probably not a bad
place to start.
But at pick 56, what are we doing?
They have needs.
I'll just tell you real quick.
At the end of next season, they're going to have four wide receivers, four tight ends,
and four cornerbacks whose contracts are up on the current roster.
So what's the direction?
Would you like to go here with pick 56?
What's their backfield situation?
Michelle Tudon, who they drafted last year, my god, Laquan Allen, crib, Syracuse,
seventh round pick, who's a fantastic blocker, saw a lot of time last year, and that role
that I mentioned they signed, Chris Rodriguez, DJ Dallas is also on the team, special teams,
and particularly for him, I would imagine.
Do you?
Oh, I see.
I see what's going on back there.
Where are you going to put Gideri in private?
And that's the Chris Brasel, who obviously I love, but I just, with their receiver depth
right now, it's just no real spot form.
How do you feel about, I mean, obviously we have tight end down as a need.
I think linebackers a need.
I just don't think there's a linebacker at 56.
It is a real need.
They let Utah walk, I can't think of his name, who's the Utah?
Devon Lloyd.
Devon Lloyd sign elsewhere.
They have a wrench from Miller, who's from Florida.
And then after that, they're potentially some, some, some, I think, and I think Ventrell
is more first and second down.
So we'll see where we are with the, with the next pick, I'm at 81.
What do you think about Eli, the Vanderbilt title in here?
Insanely athletic.
Brent Strange continues to develop, but I think you can have more than, than one running
back in the room, especially how, you know, multiple tight ends such a use these days,
Quentin Morris is behind him, and then Hunter Long, and then Patrick Herbert, brother
of Justin Herbert is also on the roster right now.
Yeah, let's go Eli.
Let's go Eli Stowers.
Jump 45.
This is vertical.
Brandon the four fives.
He's more of an F than a Y.
He's not, you don't bring him into block people, but yeah, I think you know that before
you get going there.
So we solve the tight end need is there.
So there's some offensive lineman available.
We've talked about Conor Luz, Sam Hex, a good player.
Jaylen Farmers there, Jake Slotter, you're a guy, but they have Robert Hainesy at center,
Patrick McCarrie, and Ezra Cleveland are the guards, and they don't have needs at tackle
right now.
Well, Colvin Landon's there.
I don't know what the long term plans are for him.
He's ahead of Walker a little.
He's here in the course of Anton Harris in the former first shot.
Yeah, we got three third round picks here.
So let's look at, let's look at defensive tackle.
So they have a need there.
Yep, Eric Armstead excuse me, and Devon Hamilton, the former Ohio State player.
So of course, McClellan, we talked about you like Tim Keenan, this feels rich for me,
but you can.
Yeah, no, it does feel rich.
Let's go back to best available, because again, I still have linebacker down as a need.
I got edge as a need.
I wish I'm bending.
I have a midday, too, great on as the defensive line, and just something to keep in mind as
we go through these third round picks, because he could be there at 88, maybe even 100.
So linebacker, Anthony Hill, Genre's there.
Scroll down a little bit, Striker, or just check the linebackers.
I'm curious.
Oh, key on Crawford's explosive player, Ezra Shredov.
Yeah, and I was thinking about maybe targeting him at 88 or 100.
So, Anthony Hill, Genre is, or Deontay Lawson, is the two best linebackers for me right now.
Caleb Alarm's or a TCU, is an insanely athletic, he's a bigger linebacker, Bruce Batcher,
is the former baseball player.
He'll be available a little bit later, I believe.
So, I don't know what you're, what you're vibing to right now.
What say you?
Let's go Anthony Hill, Genre.
Okay.
I think he fits what they do there, and would be a nice replacement for Utah, for some reason.
Devin Loake, Genre.
I can't remember his name.
All right.
And who are you mentioning here as possibly 88?
I say the 88 or 100 key on Crawford, but then a Romello height is there.
Romello height was just feels more like a true DPR for them in their situation, because you can also kick.
Walker, Travon Walker, inside, and rest some, so they do need depth behind Heinz Allen and Walker.
So, Romello weighed 239 in the convoy.
He played at 228 less, less, less spring.
That's what he weighed, ran a 464.
Man, he plays angry, explosive.
And what did Kiran measure in it?
So, Kiran weighed more than I thought he was going to.
Kiran, 64253, 32-inch arms.
And he's just started playing football, by the way.
He has not been playing ball very long.
Transfer from Arkansas State is good.
They're both incredibly explosive.
I think Kiran gives you more and runs the port and obviously weighs 15 pounds more.
Do you think Kiran would be there at 100?
It's going to be close.
That's right around the range, so I haven't going off.
So, who else you thinking about?
We can go in the other direction.
No, I'm just looking around.
I'm just really looking around the board.
You got Logan Jones sitting there.
Your man crushed Ted Hurst is there.
Yeah, I think Ted Hurst will be there.
More likely than Kiran.
They also have, I saw Genesis Smith.
So, Genesis Smith is interesting to me.
They have Antonio Johnson and Eric Murray.
Caleb Rance, I'll come back from the injury.
And Ryan Lane, out of maybe.
I vote for my guy, Kiran Crawford, Ed's Russia.
Let's do it.
All right, let's see what happens at 100 striker.
So, let's pick 88, then pick 100.
Nice bus through Aller.
Stryker must have made up these odds here.
Ted Hurst is there.
Jason Baram is a duel.
He can play off ball and they had him do an edge at Michigan.
He's a lot of fun to watch.
I've got the tight end already.
So, Michael Trigg is off the board.
David DeBline, Dante Corleone.
It's a little high for him for me.
Who are the other defensive lineman?
Stryker.
What happened to Johnson, Chris McCollum?
Talked about Tim Keenan still too rich.
Yeah.
All right.
Zane Durant, too rich for him.
Yeah.
And one of my notes is I feel like they need an interior disruptor.
So, Zane Durant would be...
He would be a decent pick for them somewhere in that five to six range.
Okay.
All right.
So, do your best available striker.
Let's see what we're going to do.
So, they don't have a ton of knees.
They don't have a ton of picks.
So, what are we doing?
I mean, because this is more about them building up depth.
Because a lot of these things that I...
My notes here are depth.
Depth.
Yeah.
Depth.
So, I...
I would go either...
Yeah.
It might be a little richer Ted Hirst.
I would think about Ted Hirst, but I would think about Genesis Smith, too.
In the secondary.
There you go.
He's...
Played next to Trayton Stoops and they were getting after it.
Let's say Genesis meant to save the outta Arizona striker.
Then it picked 124.
I mean, Bud Clarkster in space.
Tyrick Sap.
We talked about him as a tweener.
Brian Parker played tackle at Duke.
He's going to play guard or center.
So, that gives you two position flexibility on game days.
I don't know how you feel about that.
Yeah, because you really like Brian Parker.
I like him.
I have him...
I have him rated as a center.
Okay.
That's where he worked out of this triangle.
But, like you said, he gives you depth at the old line.
So, we can go...
All right.
Let's go, Brian Parker, here.
Next up, pick 164.
Let's look at deep into the line and see if some of Rand's guys are there.
So, there's Zane to Rand.
164.
Does that feel about right?
Yeah, give or take.
Oh, we have 166 as well, the striker notes.
If you're looking for some juice, Scallagirl Howard has got juice.
Yeah.
I know that's your guy.
That's what Scallagirl Howard impressed with.
That's what juice looks like.
I think that's expired juice.
Yeah.
That milk's been on the counter for a minute.
All right.
Go back to best available.
Let's see, because we got two picks back to back.
So, K-Tron Allen's there.
There's not...
The running back isn't a huge need.
I'm trying...
I'm looking at...
So, did we get...
We got a safety.
We didn't get a defensive tackle.
No.
That's what I'm trying to get my guy Scallagirl Howard in the room.
But we're also looking at the other fellow.
Zane to Rand.
Yeah.
No, I know.
I'll distract you.
Let's look at Old Line again.
Because I know.
You laughing at...
You didn't take him back, who?
Yes.
Jaden Roberts.
I think he's an early day three guy worst case.
But we just took Brian Parker as a swing.
What about DJ Campbell?
We can do it.
I'm just...
Because he...
I know there was a lot of love for him.
What did you think on DJ Campbell?
Yeah.
I had an early day three grade on him.
He was 6, 3, 3, 13.
34 inch arms.
Just 22 years old.
Let's see here.
3, you're starting right guard.
He uses arm length and pulling fluidity to anchor power schemes.
Despite occasional balance issues on lateral runs.
His day three guy.
Him or...
Him or our majoried atoms.
They're both good players.
Let's take DJ Campbell.
We haven't spent a lot of time talking him up.
So let's give him a little love here.
Then a 166.
Let's see where Zane to Rand is.
Is he going?
Stryker.
Defensive lineman is still there out of Penn State.
Let's take him.
And more depth.
Now we're a pick 203.
We have four picks to go.
So let's...
I am thinking that maybe...
Do we want to throw a K-club nick some love?
I mean, they have Nick Mullins.
Who's been a career back up in the Carter Bradley after him.
Who's Gus Bradley's son.
Who's a fun player coming out.
But he was undrafted.
Yeah, let's go.
Let's go.
K-club nick here with a six-round pick.
Then we have three seventh rounders.
So they got...
They got my guy, the Quinn Allen last year in the seventh round.
I would roll the dice from Robert Henry Jr.
He's more of a bascheol student type.
But we're just looking for best available.
But I will defer to you.
No, go ahead.
Before you do that, strike your technique, Barrett,
the defensive line.
Let's get more defensive line to help.
Because he should go higher than this in my opinion.
And then if we want to go...
I mean, I take all my running backs,
I'm going to say something.
Yeah, the lower, man.
All right, that's on me.
Lesson learned.
Who are the other running backs, strike.
Good gosh.
We're still a phase on...
Jam Miller's there.
I don't know why Jam Miller's there.
Adam Randall, the former White receiver.
That's CJ Donaldson.
Dean Conner's actually good player at Houston.
Any of those guys...
You want to roll the dice on a 240?
This is our last pick?
We got one more after this.
Oh, we got one more after this.
On...
Cause Russell is...
Oh, he's there.
Yeah, he's 26, 27.
He's a good player, but he's...
Yeah, no, that's...
One contract guy.
I know you're very...
You're an Aegist.
Don't do that.
that. Let's go, Jam. Jam Miller, come on down and then finally, pick you 45, ran. Man,
what haven't we we got the deep. No, the wide receiver. Who the wide receiver? So I mean,
given how we. Yeah, you're picking. This is your, you always get the last thing to be
there. Let's go Jordan Hudson out of SMU. He's a solid player. Good route.
Runner. I like a more than most folks. He was at the senior bowl. And I think he would,
he would have a chance to make this roster. We'll see that 11 picks. Let's see my prediction
and they're going to give us C plus. This is the PFF mock draft. I think you'd like to give us a
grade and producer striker is tallying the results for this Jackson Jaguars mock draft. I'll love
him picks gotta be gotta be. I think they just give us a B. This is when the teacher is two weeks
from the end of school. Hey, we got a A plus K club Nick. We got an A Nick Barrett. We got
an A minus. There we go. So it's actually the brand gave us a C because they have him
199 on their big boarding. He went 66 or 33 picks. A Penn State bias. All right, Jaguars fans. Let
us know in the comments of these 11 picks. Do you like any of them? How do you with Eli Stowers
as your first pick at pick 56 there since Travis Hunters your first pick from a year ago? Let us
know. We're always interested to hear what you guys say. All right, that is it for this edition
of the perfect draft Jacksonville Jaguars edition. If you like what we do here, leave us a comment
and subscribe and check back off because we're going to all 32 teams. We'll see you guys in the next one.
You sound insane. Starring Vince Vaughn, James Marston, and Ace of Gonzalez. I thought you were
caught. Well, clones aren't real, don't you? And time machines are super grounded in reality.
