Welcome back to with the first pick where we're going team by team to build a perfect seven
round mock draft.
And today we're breaking down the Pittsburgh Steelers are biggest needs best fits and sleeper
picks that could make their draft.
I'm Ryan Wilson and that's two times Super Bowl champ with the Pittsburgh Steelers,
Brought McFadden.
Be back.
You ready to do this?
I'm always ready.
My guy is time to make the Pittsburgh Steelers better.
Let's rock and roll.
Let's rock and roll.
Before we get going here, let us know in the comments, Steelers fans, who you would love
to see fall to Pittsburgh.
Please.
Let us know.
Is it a quarterback?
Yeah.
Is it another position like offensive tackle?
We got the wide receiver position on lock.
I believe just a quick recap before we get going here, BMAC, they have 12 total picks,
which is crazy.
They signed Jamel Dean, cornerback, Rico Dada, running back at a depth in the second
day, which is why I'm brisker and Darnell Savage and of course they traded for Michael
Pittman Jr.
So fewer needs than they had at the beginning of free agency, but still a lot of needs
nonetheless.
Less excuse me.
Pick 21.
Here we go.
All right, BMAC.
You're the GM.
I'm the assistant GM.
And I'll be Andy Widow.
Jordan Tyson is the top player on the board as we sit here.
I got real injury concerns with him.
Kate, look, man, we did a two round mock draft the other day, me and Rand and our buddy,
Liji Dusable.
And I voted for Kate and proctor in the left tackle because of this.
Broder Jones had the spinal fusion surgery in December.
So Omar has said we don't know what his status is going to be in terms of August September
football.
And they also have needs that it left guard because I, as you say, a Miley left.
So I'll put that out there, but there are a lot of good names.
Denzel Boston, TJ Parker.
What are you thinking?
Wow.
Is Vega the guard from Penn State still available?
Man, you living in a dream world scroll up?
Where'd he go, producer striker?
He went there at the Jets took him at 16.
Jets ain't messing around.
I love him.
And I think for me at 21, Vega would be the only guard I would select for the Pittsburgh
Steelers.
And here, your concerns about Jordan Tyson, I hear your concerns, but I am putting faith
in our medical staff.
And under the assumption that he is going to be ready to go, that's what I'm doing.
That's what I'm doing because his tape is hot and also we have inside intel about Jordan
Tyson because two times Super Bowl winner Hines Ward has been coaching him the last few
years there out at Arizona State.
So the intel is there.
We know what type of football player he is.
Forget just why I received it, but overall football player.
And if he was healthy, many felt like he could be why receiver one, jumping carnail tape.
So getting him in the 20s, because Mika is gone, right?
Is Mika in lemon?
Where's Mika in lemon?
Producer striker.
Oh, yeah.
He just went the one pick before at pick 20.
So the Cowboys, man, they hit a home run, they got George pick and CD and Mika lemon.
So all right.
You got to make a pick.
You got Jordan Tyson.
It is.
Yes.
Man, we went from not having any wide receivers outside of decay to having three ballers.
Now we got to get a quarter back here.
All right.
We like I said, we got 12 picks.
So we got a lot of work to do here.
Next up on the clock at pick 53, which direction do you want to go?
Again, we can go in any number of directions.
Can't they Scott the safety?
They do have some depth there, but I still think they have, they have some needs at, at,
at strong safety.
Jalen Rams, he's going to play for me.
Wait a minute.
Can you take Scott is available?
He ran the 435, but he did not run the top 52 picks.
He is still available.
He is still available.
Who else?
What other notable names available?
Any, any, any inside linebackers is a CJ gone?
Let's see.
Let's see.
Let's see what the off ball guys are, producer striker, Jake Golday is there.
And I will tell you this, man, just as I had Trotter who was Jeremiah's son, that dude
can ball Kyle Lewis out of pit, maybe a little high for him, Anthony Hill Jr.
And Deontay Lawson.
I think this is around the range.
Probably the next 10 to 15 picks is where they come off.
If you want to target those positions, off ball is a pretty deep class safety.
Just deep class.
All right.
What guards are available?
He has to be guards now.
We have someone like Chase Passantis here, Emmanuel Pregnon, striker.
So Keelon Rutledge is here.
So man, they had to run on guards already.
Oh, wow.
So Keelon Rutledge is a good player, but I would hope to get him with our next pick at
70.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's too high.
I got to go key on Tay Scott.
The nickel cornerback is very, very impactful defensively.
He's the best blitz and nickel corner in the available.
We talked about safety cornerback range.
We're drafted him to have him play that inside spot for us at the nickel dime situation
for us.
So I'm taking Keelon today.
Now my guy trained Stukes was still there at Arizona, but it's going to be interesting.
He has an injury history as well.
I know some teams not concerned, but think that he probably is going to go off in the
45 to 60 range.
But Keelon Tay Scott, man, we know how fast he is until your point.
He comes off the edge and he can he'll hit you like he he's run support.
He can sack the quarterback.
All right.
We're back at, we're in round three here.
This is a pick 76, I believe is that where we are?
Yes.
Okay.
So, uh, did I do a sudden the edge rusher out of a Penn State, Ramelel height is a juiced
up edge rusher.
He's much in the same, uh, vein as Nick Herbig be Mac in terms of him being undersized,
but hair on fire type guy.
Now, let's look at the guards real quick, you're looking at the linebackers because I see
one of our guys there.
So Connor lose a center.
Sam Hex is going to play at center probably.
So we're getting Billy Schroff some, some folks like a lot better than me out of Notre
Dame.
I wouldn't want to take him here.
I would take Jeremiah right the guard at Auburn, but the other thing is if you look at
linebacker real quick, producer striker, there is, um, Ethan Hill Jr.
And Deante Lawson, those, this feels like the range.
Wait a minute.
Ethan Hill from Texas is still available.
He's staring us in the face.
Let's go.
Anthony Hill.
Let's go in.
Patrick Queen has one year left on his deal.
Anthony Hill, very, very athletic off ball linebacker.
I love his athleticism.
Like I said, Patrick Queen has one year left on this current contract.
Uh, and I love Anthony's physical mindset as well.
So let's go.
Anthony Hill, Texas.
And the reality is that Peyton Wilson, he didn't play a lot last year just because he struggles
against the run.
High and athlete.
Yes.
Yes.
He was like a, a, a nickel linebacker.
He came in and passed an opportunity because they had issues with him.
I guess holding up against first down running opportunities for my offenses.
So it's a great, great point by you, Ryan, because yeah, Peyton was a, uh, uh, situational
linebacker.
Right.
All right.
Let me ask you this before we get too far down this road.
We got to make some assumptions.
Is Aaron Rodgers coming back and if he isn't, are we just rolling Will Howard?
Because otherwise we can look at some quarterbacks.
So Aaron Rodgers, this is me being GM.
Yep.
If I'm attacking this draft already with a certain mindset, I clearly feel like it
no.
Aaron Rodgers is coming back.
Okay.
Okay.
So we're not going to have to take a quarterback throughout the 12 picks we have because
we do need depth.
But I'm making this attacking this draft under the assumption Aaron Rodgers is coming
back.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
So let's see here.
So here's the thing.
They're going to have to re up our graduate quarter of junior pretty soon.
I don't think they've done that yet.
They do have to melt Dean.
But they have a Sunday Samuel, who has done another one year deal.
I still think we could get some, some corners.
If that's something you want to do.
And I mentioned that because, uh, Dale and average there and man, I don't know if you've
seen Devon more to Florida, big, long, physical, outside corner.
Uh, and we just haven't, he hasn't gotten a lot of buzz for some reason, but I have a question
for you.
Yeah.
Is Dunker still available from Iowa, the guard?
Let's see.
We've got a guy.
Jenny's Dunker there.
Is Jenny's Dunker?
That's a striker.
You should look like in high school.
You had that hair.
Please let him.
He's gone.
So let's look at the guards overall striker.
And you know what?
Throwing the guards and the tackles.
Yeah.
And what we're gonna do is, again, we don't know broad, broadrick Jones' situation.
So let's see here.
Man.
Jaylin farmer, Marquell Bells, tackle.
Billy Shroff.
Brian Parker's a little under size.
He's got to get stronger.
I tell you a name that I like, and I actually like this young man better than Jenny's,
Dunker, B. Mac, both Stevens and Iowa.
His teammate.
What do you got to say?
mentioned Travis Burke from Memphis, the six nine tackle. Now, what was the key?
You just mentioned from Iowa again.
Bo Stevens plays guard and he's, he's a good player. I think he's better than
Jenny Stunker. Jenny's play tackle at Iowa, but he's going to move inside.
And if you're looking for a tackle, the name right below that Jude
Bowery at a BC, he's an under the radar guy who has a chance to be a day to
pick. But right now, he had in the third round, what pick is this?
We're on pick 85. Yeah, 85.
Is that an ideal spot for, for, for a boat, the other Iowa guard, you think?
For I would take Bo Stevens in this range, he might be available.
He might be available at the top with, you know, the next few picks.
We pick 99 and 121. So who else is your eyeball in here?
We can go to other positions as well. Do best available striker.
Let's see what else we got.
Yeah, it's just available for a striker because cornerbacks, I think cornerback
is a need. We got our wide receiver. We got our slot.
We could get another interior guy as well. Camp another interior
defensive lineman.
So let me ask you as someone who's watching a lot of Daryl Jackson,
Gina, I'm higher on him than ran is a little upright at times.
Another name, by the way, before I forget Keyron Crawford, the other edge at
Auburn, if you want to talk about some young, a young man with a lot of juice,
he's 64250. He has not played a lot of football.
Ration Bitties, another defensive lineman I also like.
So there's options here. Let's let's focus on defensive liner edge, the max
who we can do. Let's do that. Let's do that.
So where are you on Daryl Jackson, Gina?
I'm, you know, that's a full estate guy. I think I think he's going to be a better
pro then college player. So let's go Darrell. Let's go Darrell.
All right, Darrell Jackson, Gina.
And that clock you here, that ticking clock is striker reminded us.
We got 10 seconds to make picks. We're not here all day.
All right. Next up, pick 99, Nuss Buses there, Drew Aller is there.
We're not taking Drew Aller this high. I don't care. What is Carson Beck still available?
He's gone. I bet Carson Beck is long gone. Let's see.
In terms of while striker checks on that.
Oh, Carson Beck is there. We're going to do Carson Beck, ain't we?
Yeah, let's do Carson Beck here. Yeah, Carson Beck. That's a quick one.
I think he goes in the second round, given what he's played and y'all can be
down on Carson all you want. He is, let me ask you this.
He's a better player coming into the program than Will Howard was,
based on what he did at Ohio State. Would you agree with that?
I'll say Carson's overall body of work is probably better.
Yeah, but Will's last year was better than Carson's.
Oh, thanks a lot. Oh, interesting. Yeah.
Okay. Hey, let me throw you because you look at, they lost to Louisville
because of Carson just going to the Roman.
I can't get through it.
Then he threw his teammates under the bus. Let's not talk about that.
But we see enough to draft him right here.
Yeah. Oh, Messi came back strong. He won that game for him.
So let me throw this name out at you, BMAC.
They only have two tight ends on the roster.
Justin Joe Lee at NC State. Oh, I know who you throwing out because I haven't,
I have a tight end. I love his will. Okay.
I'm throwing out Justin Joe Lee. He was a younger John New Smith.
Who you throwing out?
Is Delp available from Georgia?
Oh, Oscar's a good player. I bet I'll take him here.
Even though he might be listed way down the list.
Does someone already take him striker?
He's stolen. He might be down because he didn't play.
They didn't target him a lot at someone took your guy already.
Oh, there he is. Yeah, he's way down the list and the PFF rankings.
But I'm with you. I find taking him here.
We're in the fourth round.
Yep. We are this pick 121. We're in the fourth round.
I have no concerns taking him here.
And he ran what? What did he run for for something?
Yeah, I think he ran sub four five.
And it's just a situation where he was not targeted a lot.
Gunner Stockton, you know, he ain't.
Hey, Darnell Washington wasn't targeted a lot either.
That's right. He's not, um,
Carson Beck in terms of ability to throw the ball.
They use them differently. Gunner Stockton.
So I got to know Oscar here.
Yeah, no, he's a he's going to be much better pro than he was.
A college player just because of usage.
All right, let's check out the, yeah,
let's take out the interior offensive lineman and the
tackles one more time.
Striker because we don't want to get you more from that.
Even what Litch gone from Georgia Tech.
I bet he's young, long gone.
I would take here who, who, here's who I would target here.
I'm a huge Jaden Roberts fan out of Alabama.
But if you're, if that's too rich for you,
yeah, he's gone. Striker.
Okay. If he's too, if that's too rich for you,
what do I love in Jones? I will.
Let me, um, throw a wrench in the, in the plants here.
We're in the Johnson still there that running back out in Nebraska.
Now they drafted Caleb Johnson last year.
Different scheme.
You and I talked about that before the podcast.
Do you want to roll the dice on image Johnson?
Who's running back to for a lot of people that we work with?
He's still available.
He's staring us right in the face.
So do we want to wait on offensive line and go?
So we got a next year or we got Jalen Warren.
Rico down in Caleb.
And bringing in in as a fourth rounder.
Is that, is that just wasting the pic Nicholas Singles there too?
Yeah. I think we need to get it into interior.
Yeah. Okay. Let's go ahead.
I just had to, I had to put it out there.
All right. So let's see if Logan Jones is there.
Striker for BMAC.
How you like Logan Jones? How do you feel about Logan Jones?
I like him. He's gone.
He only has 30 inch arms.
He's probably got to play center.
Um, but he's a good player.
Don't, don't get that, that twisted there.
We need to start.
Yeah. Let's go to, uh, so Jaden Roberts.
I like at Alabama.
He's a big earth mover.
And then let's go, um,
Jeremiah Wright's still there to Auburn.
He's a really good player on the interior.
Arm, Armage Reed Adams out of Texas A&M.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of those guys.
And that's Cooper out of the you.
We saw him work out the other day.
Uh, it's also guard.
So there's, there's plenty to choose from a guy.
So you can come in and probably be contributors early on.
Let's go, Adam. Let's go, Roberts.
Yeah. Yeah. No, I'm a big Jaden Roberts guy.
We'll see if I'm right or wrong about that.
Jaden Roberts, it is.
Come on down.
I, I don't know why we have not talked more about him during the pre drive process.
All right.
Next up, pick 135.
I think I'm going to trade some of these picks.
So I say a world, let me throw this out at you, Max.
So as they were all transferred from Nevada to Oregon,
he had a lot of first round buzz as a left tackle at Oregon.
Did not play up to that potential.
Uh, then towards ACL, I believe in their final game.
So he would have to be a red shirt developmental guy.
And he has gone from obviously top 32 to
he's still sitting here at the middle of the fourth round.
Isaiah. Isaiah, we're all right.
He's like six eight.
All right.
Yeah. And he is enormous.
Now he's got some stuff he needs to clean up.
Hey, um, let's see the other tackles too here.
Sorry, get you moving all the buttons.
Strike it. Let's see the other tackles here too.
Just, uh, it's, uh, Travis Burke available.
You know, Travis Burke.
I love Travis Brook.
I think there he is.
Did, did, did Pete turn you on the Travis?
Cause he won't quit talking about Travis either.
No, man, uh, another guy turned me on the truck.
Oh, he did?
Yeah.
All right, let's take him.
This, this, I think he's a day three guy.
And I think he's six nine.
He's six nine, three, fifteen.
Until your point,
regardless what happens with, uh,
Brydrick, yeah, Dylan Cook played really, really well.
That's a good point.
Dylan Cook played really, really well.
And played against some high level competition
and critical moments, you know, trying to get and solidify that top seed in the AFC.
So I think we're okay, but in terms of Travis,
you don't necessarily need to throw him to action right now.
Right.
And I think the potential was there.
I'd be back off to pick two, sixteen,
competitive story, pick in round six.
Uh, uh, strike here.
Let's see what we got to the edge rest position.
And, um, we got a gardener tackle offensively.
So be Mac, I think we need to add.
You know, Patrick Payton from his time of Florida state.
He transferred to LSU.
I don't think he got a lot better.
I don't even know if I would take him here.
I tell you, he sticks out to me as a hair on fire,
situational past rusher with some room for growth.
That's Logan Fauna, who is Spencer's brother.
Yeah.
Uh, he was the senior bowl and he's got a little juice.
Scroll down just a hair strikeer.
Let's see if there's anyone there that I miss and that's staring us in the face.
Yeah, I think that's, that's where we are.
If we want to go edge here and he feels like, uh,
he feels like six round value to me, but I'll let you, you're the GM.
I'm okay with that.
Uh, to your point, he really, in my opinion,
and you agree as well, he excelled during senior bowl week.
And, um, he also had pretty good tape as well throughout his collision career.
But it's senior bowl week.
I think he really opened a lot of eyes.
And potentially, you know, when we're drafting guys in this area of the draft,
it's not what, it's not about what you can do defensively.
It's about what you can do potentially as a team's guy.
You know, do you have the effort to be able to be able to excel in that area
until you find a way to submit yourself in the defensive area for our team?
So I think he's a guy we can utilize on every aspect in terms of the special teams,
uh, uh, formation for us.
And, and I think he would definitely open, welcome that with open arms.
So I'm okay with final.
All right, let's do it.
I'm looking at my notes here.
Plays the low pads, good leverage,
hair on fire, player, nonstop motor, as you mentioned.
And the interesting thing is he six, five, five, five, seven,
but like his brother, B-Mac, he's got short arms.
He's got 31 inch arms.
His brothers arms are a little longer.
But the point is that, um, that's part of the reason that he,
he's probably slipped a little bit here.
All right, we're in the seventh round.
And I'm going to tell you who stare me in the face.
I want to hear, excuse me, hear what you think about this.
Two things.
Kobe Young, who you spoke with at the combine is here.
He is a freakish athlete with some off-field stuff.
And Demani Jackson, the long physical corner from Alabama,
who transferred from Washington, is there.
Now, Demani got bench-last season.
But when he got back on the field, he played a lot better.
And he feels like a joy-pointer junior body type,
but obviously going on day three.
So those are two guys that I got my eyes on.
One of the name I'll mention.
Who is?
Kobe Young is still available.
I think that's mostly off-field related.
He had, he had some issues, but again,
physically sweet mercy.
He's not going to be a, he'll be more of a possession
receiver, high-point possession receiver.
The other name I'll mention here is Andre Fuller,
the cornerback from Toledo, who's a really good player.
And Mayo, Miguel Ward, he got most of the pub,
but Fuller stuck out as well.
So we can go DBE here, wide receiver,
or if you want to go somewhere else, we can go somewhere else.
Man, to your point, I spoke with Kobe.
And when I spoke with him, anything that was off the field
related, I didn't get that from him.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
He's a soft-spoken guy.
He's from up north.
You know, he dealt with a lot of injuries.
And I think that played a major part in the slippage.
Oh, salsa, you know, that's right.
He's just being injured.
But he, physically, he looks the part.
And he actually had a pretty good combine, right, Ryan?
So I'm okay in adding a guy with that size.
You know, almost not necessarily saying
a developmental-like piece,
but we're not really forced to see him right now.
Just allow him to understand what it means
to be a pro-order off the football field
and continue to develop.
So Kobe Young, for me, I would love that piece.
And we got another one coming right up
so we can circle back if we need to.
So six, almost six, five, two, 18,
ran a four, four, nine.
And he's got high-point catchability all day long.
Yes, he does.
All right, so down the home stretch here.
How did they take the money, Young?
Can you believe they did that, Shrekker?
All right.
So Young's gone, Andre Fuller's there.
I like him as a cornerback.
Best player available.
Scroll down a little bit, Shrekker.
Brotherly Noah Kowski's interesting,
but they moved on from Connor Hayward.
So I don't know what role
if any of fullback's going to play.
Yeah.
And Riley sort of.
Any more office alignment.
Any more inside backers.
We don't need any more white receivers.
Uh, you know what?
We could, we could, what safes are available.
So, right, we don't have a true safety.
We just got a slot, a slack guy.
Yeah.
So, uh, Jalen Husky's a good player.
Lewis Moore's a good player.
Jacobi Thomas, quote, unquote,
the other safety at the U is also really good.
Scroll down a little bit, Shrekker.
Let's see what else we got on our list here.
Yeah, and that's the Dalton Johnson and DQ Smith.
But those guys are further down from me
than, than some of the names of the top.
Thomas is still, Thomas is still there.
Yeah, Thomas is a good player, man.
And so it's one or two.
Yeah.
Let's go Thomas.
Let's go Thomas.
All right, we're keeping with you.
Keeping that band together.
There he is.
Let's see, I had a fifth round grade in Jacobi Thomas.
61211.
What did he run?
I don't know.
I haven't seen, I don't know if I have the time for him
from the pro day off the double checks.
I'll have to circle back on that.
But he played third of the time in the box
and half the time in as a free safety.
So he's got that versatility as well.
All right, so this is the last,
is this the last pick Shrekker?
We got a couple more.
I'm in more behalf here.
No, this is the last one.
Last one, pick number 12.
Dealer's choice.
B-Mac, whatever player you like the most,
whatever position we can focus on.
The best player,
we already got Carson back.
I'm going to introduce you to how Sealer's fans do about that.
The best player is probably Parker Brailsford,
the center, but he is 289 to 90.
Here's who I'm going to vote for, and you're the GM.
So you can say, I'm going to go with Robert Henry Jr.,
who is a playmaking home run,
hitting, running back out of UTSA.
And we didn't draft the running back yet, correct?
No.
Yeah, so he would be my best player available,
just in terms of juice,
but if someone else catches your eye,
I don't know if I would answer.
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what,
what else?
Because we got a interior guy.
We got a tackle.
We didn't take a running back,
even when a running back room is pretty.
Yes, pretty thick.
Got a couple wide receivers.
What office alignment are there?
Yeah, let's see what office alignment are there.
Because Michael O'Neill and Ethan O'Neill,
you know what, Ethan O'Neill,
I talked to him at the combine.
Super smart guy, he transferred into Ohio State as a tackle
to kick them inside the guard,
had a good senior bowl,
had a really good pro day when I saw him
at the Ohio State pro day in terms of movement skills.
He adds more depth in the interior
with tackle flexibility.
That would be my vote if you want to look for alignment.
Yeah, what did he weigh in at the pro day yesterday, right?
Let me see what he weighed in at,
because he's a big young man.
I see what we got here as striker
gets the 6633, almost 35 inch arms.
You tell me.
Yeah, let's go.
I love the versatility.
He can be an outsider inside guy.
Yeah, he transferred from right, so he's a smart guy.
Hey, if you're listening or watching,
give me a B-Mac grade for those 12 picks.
I think we did pretty good,
but the ultimate deciders will be these fans,
the Maxila fans.
Always, always.
We'll see what they wanted.
No Thai Simpson, so did you guys,
is that an option to 21 for you?
Jordan Tyson,
medicals came back clean to Omar McFadden,
so we went with Jordan Tyson.
What did they give us on the PFF grade machine?
They gave us a CV back, you believe that?
They gave us a CV with the Jordan Tyson grade.
All the overall draft grade, according to PFF,
because we used our mock draft machine.
They gave us three African row.
Oscar delped it in like Jaden Roberts or Travis Burke.
That's okay.
We'll sort of go back in three years and see he was right.
We'll sort of go back in two years.
But yeah, all right, let us know what you guys think,
because this is always a lot of home,
like I B-Mac, especially doing Steelers.
That is it for this edition of the Perfect Fix.
Remember, we're hitting all 32 teams.

Time to party.
That's a great attitude.
It's a time-travel egg,
ass kick egg, movie of that.
You sound insane.
Starring Vince Vaughn, James Marston, and Ace of Gonzalez.
I thought you were a quality.
Well, clones aren't real, dummy.
And time machines are super grounded in reality.
