All right, top five questions I have for the afternoon show as someone who works a lot with the morning show. Number five. And like I said, I've been getting a lot more shifts with you recently. So last week, when I worked with you, you guys were on remote, so that changes things. Instead of putting something on the call screener, it was a reminder for a read. I got in your ear. Why am I not allowed to get in your ear? Do that a lot with the morning show. Why can't I get in your ear? Well, okay, so here's a big difference for us in the morning show. They have 17 people talking. So most of the time, when you get one of their ears, there's a good chance they're not talking or somebody else could do it. You talked in my ear while I was talking.

2:00And ever since, I mean, the very first show I ever did, do you remember Rahim who produced here? Of course I do. Rahim Vernon, my guy. So the first show I ever did. Radio Rahim. Radio Rahim. So I were talking in my ear while I was talking and I just stopped talking. And I went into the producer studio. I was like, why did you do that? And I said, could you just write it up on the screen and said, talking? He was like, nah, this is the way I do it. Okay, well. Now, I am not the same position now. Right, you're not the same spike. Yes, that's the end. Yes, so that was my first producer. Yeah, yeah, well, I was a nut. Yes, I was a nut. Now, sometimes Rahim wouldn't be there for like a half hour, just be Mike Angelina, who was an intern at the time. But yeah, Rahim was there. So I do not work well. Now, if you get in my ear while somebody else is talking, it's fine, get my ear in a commercial break, it's fine. While I'm talking, I'm confused by that. So I can't do it. So that's why I wanted up on the screen.

3:02Is that the story? Because I knew you said you had a story about somebody getting your ear. Is that the story? That's the one. And that is the last person I got in my ear. Before I did it, I guess last week. Yes. Yeah, okay, good to know. Great to know. Number four, I know it's a bit that Fritz has on the show when someone calls up and says, I creases my favorite player ever, blah, blah, blah. And then he goes, well, watch your favorite. Most favorite, I creased play. Does anyone ever ask you what your favorite play is of your career? Yeah. Because that's my number four question. I would imagine I have been asked that at some point. Yeah, what is not a frequent question of what's my favorite play? Yeah. Wow. We know. Good question. I don't know, really? Yeah, I, and it's not like I have so many to choose from, but what's my favorite play? You know what, you know what I would have to go with? I would have to go with the interception

4:03and the division around versus the Vikings. Cold pepper. Yeah, I guess not. I'd say cold pepper. Yeah. Cold pepper. And the reason why it was my, it's one of my favorite plays. I don't know if I have one that's my, but it's reason why it's one of my favorite plays is because I had that Friday, I was a call in guest who Anthony's midday show during that time back in 04. OK. Call in that Friday. Anthony wasn't feeling well. Anthony Gorgano wasn't feeling well. And I told him I said, well, you know what? Like, like, I think it was a big room for Lou Gehr. I don't know, I forget which one promised a kid in the hospital. Oh, I'm right. He had a home run for him. Yeah. I told him I'd get an interception for him. And you did it. And I did it that set. Wow. That's so that was pretty cool. And I think Dante Cold Pepper at the time was awesome. Oh, yeah. He didn't have a really long run. Yeah. He doesn't get brought up anymore, but you weren't intercepting some bomb. No, and we were, we as a matter of fact, to the point you just made that year.

5:05That was my probo year. The year I made the probo that year. And all of our quarterbacks were African American. Cold Pepper, Vic, and the Nav. Oh, those were our three NFC quarterbacks. In the probo. Oh, wow. I think it was the first time. OK. That didn't happen. Yeah, I mean, that was when that started. Like, it was your era of football when there were more black quarterbacks. You started to see it. OK, that's a good answer. That's pretty cool. Yeah. All right, there we go. How about that, Coco? There you go, Coco. Coco, beware. Have you found out who that is yet? Yes. OK. OK. I knew the name. You should come in here with a power on your show. Yeah. I don't know how that goes. Yeah. Number three, it's a fan favorite segment on the show, 530 Creed. Where did that originate from? Oh, spike in there. So that one. Yes. So it was August of, I believe, the first summer I was here. I was going to see Creed in North Jersey

6:08after the show with my sister-in-law page. We were going up there. And Jack used that song as a return that day. And I think I sung it. And then he might have done it again the next day and done it. And then he did it a couple of days, and then he didn't do it. And I said, where's Creed? And he played it again. And then I think when it really caught on, is when we noticed, Ike warming up to it. Ike said it took me a little while. Yeah, I got there. And then after a year or so, we were going to move to a different song. But like, there are so many people that say, we love 530 Creed. My kid likes it. We couldn't think of another song that was good enough. So here we are a couple of years later still singing Creed. Yeah, there may be people out there who wish we would move on from Creed in 530 and sing something else. The problem they have is we hear from enough people that they love the song. Yes.

7:08So we're never moving on from it. Yeah. By we hear from enough people that they love the song. They love it. And when it's, you know, when it's a pact, when we're at McGurks, if we were at McGurks today, you would see everybody singing. Because people whipping out the following. Yes. It chickies, you know, after big wins, everybody sings it. So now it's not like we wrote the song. I don't want to take credit for that. But it's one of those things. Radio has those things where if something works, everybody sort of likes it to be at the same place at the same time. Yeah. That's what I was just saying. That's why I guess you had specific return songs at certain times. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Great answer. I was interested. And when am I supposed to jump in and sing? Because you yelled at me last week for that. You were quick on a trigger last week, bro. You dropped the name. Oh, no, no. If there's three of us there, you don't sing. Okay. And there you go. Here's the other thing. You can't sing here if we're at chickies because we're hearing it at different times. Right. If you're playing the music here, then we're hearing a different time there.

8:09If we're playing the music there, then you're hearing a different time here. There you go. Yeah. That's what I wanted out. There you go. Number two. Like, at the beginning of every show, you tell Jack to holla at your boy. You said it to me today and I did not know what to say. What am I supposed to say if you ever asked me again to holla at your boy? That's a good question. Yeah. I don't know. I don't tell Fritz what to say. He just has a response. Yes. I walked into it. I opened the show the wrong way the first time. Yeah. I used to like you say and you asked me how I am and I asked how Jack is and I go, got it. It just is what it is. It is what it is. Yeah. And we started it years ago. Yeah. Yeah. He just said, I'll just expect him to say something after I say holla at your boy. What I would do if I were you just know what you're going to say. Yeah. Just have something right. Yeah. Yeah. It was a privilege to get to holla at your boy. I wasn't sure if I was going to get it. Yeah.

9:10I messed up with DVL last week too. Yes. But I didn't give him the holla at your boy. It was like twice. I know. I know. Yeah. Well, because I was, I guess there's not going to be an asshole. So I'll just start talking and then you realize. Yeah. Yeah. And number one, why is Jack Fritz's name on the show? You got it. Oh, my God. Goodness gracious. Coco with the, with the haymaker at the end. Wow. Well, because Jack is an important part of the show. And yes. And it was that Coco like there's no reason to be on the show. Yeah. It's famous. Yeah. Everybody loves him. Well, not like they used to. Now some people hate Jack too, which is kind of nice that he's not Mr. everybody loves him. Of course, when I came back, it was very important because obviously Jack was hosting the show for a while. I don't know that he was Jack loves me. I don't know that he was thrilled that I was coming back, but I think it was very important

10:14to Ike and I that Jack knows that he is as important as we are. Because in all honesty, when I was, when I was thinking about this, going through this transition, it's really the appreciation that we have for Fritz. And what he's meant to the show. And the show wouldn't be where it's at without his contributions, which are very major. People may not know that. Yeah. I'm going to have you, but that started back with me in marks and everything. So yeah, he's been a big part of the success of this show since he's joined the show. He has one thing that, you know, Ike has mentioned it before, but, you know, I think about what the show could be in the morning, but it really isn't until I talked to him at 11 every morning where he will be able to hone in what I'm thinking or say that won't work or that will. So his a built now, I taught him all that, but his that is not just on the air.

11:16And the other thing last thing and then maybe he should come back to work before we say anything nice about it is when any one of the three of us isn't here, the show is fine, but you can tell when the three of us are here, it's different. Yeah, you could feel it when he showed up at 530 yesterday. It's like, oh, it feels like the show again. Yeah, we got our brother back. Yes. 12:17All right. Spike and Shawn out to Jack who was for the new baby in the family. And I agree with you. He needs to bring his ass back to work. Yeah, that's enough already. Yeah, we get it. You're helping out at home. We get it. We also get it. We hear your little Philly spot guess you're doing the night after a came. Shawn, I don't see you, buddy. I see you. Oh, man. Hey, look. Look, look, and another, you brought us up earlier because I commented on on on X about this height thing. I don't know if you saw my comment. I said, man, turn that nine into a six. And then you get the measurement right on L.A. show. Oh, yeah. He's five six. Yeah, five nine. What are we talking about here? Now I'll take his five nine and a half because in that picture, that means I can just walk around saying I'm six one, which will make I six five. I think we'll take the increase. Yeah.

13:18Yeah. Oh, man, but anyway, but look, but look spike, spikey, spikey, baby. Yeah, come on, man. You put this dog on stuff. I hear an e-throw about, you know, I mean, do we want to, should we prefer that DC when that does not, not a no, but a hell no. I can't accept that under any circumstances. Absolutely not. But I do agree with you on the whole thing about the need of seeing. I think it's going to, it's going to leave a lot of pressure for all of us that want to see Jaylen do better because I was one of the big complainers about his play last year. I mean, with his stats, I mean, but I think that we all know the issues with that. But there are things that he could have done better, but he was dealt with the hand that he was dealt with a bad OC.

14:18They didn't, they didn't, they didn't take care of him. So my expectations, I think, along with many out here is that we should see a better performance in his passing, in his passing rating and his stats. And I think I'm pretty optimistic because here's the reason why they're going to, we're going to see plays that they have not shown to any of us. I think there's going to be more passing offense to the running backs. They're going to surely use tank bicks, be more because you know, I was, I was, I was raising hell about why they weren't using tank bicks, be like this year. So I think we're going to see some, some good things on that side. So it's just, it's just a wait and see, but I will take the, you know, the, the small victory. I mean, look at this defensive game, whatever. We just got to get these guys on the offense time to grow. Yeah, I look, we've talked about this so much. I am so glad. You know, Bruce, people think I just want to come in and yell about that.

15:20I just, I just want them to play football on Sunday. I mean, if there is, I just want the game, I want to watch the frigging game at this point. I want to see him play. It's enough. We've talked about him enough. Yeah, it's time to open up the present. None of us have any idea how it's going to be. We, we think we might know or whatever, but the truth is is that there, there have been so many practices that nobody has been able to see. And none of it really, I mean, it matters. But once they line up and play football, we'll be able to see him doing it. And that's, that's the beauty of this sport. That's the beauty of us being so engulfed with Eagles. Everything. Like we just, we, it's what we consume ourselves with all year long for this time of the year. And the great thing about the NFL to set up and I know it's not perfect, but the storylines are different every year. And we're going to have this 2026 season will be a different storyline for the Philadelphia

16:22Eagles. It's not going to play out the way it played out last year, right? Just think about the last four or five years we've had around here. Who's Super Bowl appearances? You got a meltdown in there in 2023, right? Who would have thought after 22 that AJ would be demanding a trade from this team? And now he's not here. Like the, this team and will always give us something different every year. And this is, this is no different from that. This is a new storyline this year. And we all may think we know how it's going to unfold on one to unfold, but the beauty of this watching it unfold and talking about it each week. For sure. And we were talking last week when we were, you were saying you didn't think the offseason felt that long I did. But, but I think one of the reasons it feels so long is because of the curiosity that I certainly have. And I think we all have about what it is going to be. Go into the patient. Yeah.

17:23We can't know what it is. Well, we've been talking about since they, it's really just since they hired many. Yeah. And they fired Patulot and they went through the offensive. And it's right. AJ was huge. And it's right. It was huge. Because now you don't know how people, people don't know what to fill about the offense. Yes. All of it. Yeah. They're so, it's so compelling. And I think one of the, the other crazy thing about it is we'll get to see them play Sunday. It still won't really give us answers because we won't have answers for weeks of watching them play. We will know how we feel on Sunday, but it won't, you know, I take you back to the Brazil game. We didn't know anything after that. After this game, it was a weird game. It wasn't working in office. Look good, but we turned the ball over. Defens gave up big plays. But yeah, it was. It's made big plays. I would have never guessed that team was going to win the Super Bowl. You know, well, we did no say qual was going to be good. We did. Yeah. That was a moment. So I think even AJ had a big play in the game, right? Then you have like a long touchdown.

18:25I don't remember all I remember is coming here. Jair Alexander were sad. Yeah, it was. Yeah, we came in on Saturday. We did come in on Saturday. Yeah. That because that was when I was living in North Jersey. You know, it was a nice night watching that game because as right because you're with the hotel, right? As the hotel in the building. Yeah, I remember that ordered my favorite Chinese food. Eat it like a little piggy while it's watching the game. Nothing better that's sitting alone. I don't believe me Chinese food. Yeah. Okay. Well, yeah, the Chinese Chinese and Thai food. There's a lot of vegetarian options. Okay. You know that vegetarian options. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Okay. I don't keep kosher. There's a lot of kosher options Chinese food. Yeah. The Chinese food people love the Jewish people. They love the Jewish people. Yeah. Well, yeah, because on the, as the joke goes on Christmas, not joke, but the on Christmas, the only restaurants open where the Chinese food restaurants and the Jewish people need it somewhere to go get dinner. So they went to the Chinese food restaurant.

19:25Oh, that's not a time to get it. Yes. Okay. The Chinese food restaurant is a friend of the Jewish people. Yes. So yeah, the Chinese food in a hotel watching the football game. Oh, I don't miss that commute, but I do miss the little Chinese food hotel nights. Wow. I was getting crazy. Wow. Two of five, five, nine, two, ninety, four, ninety, four. What are you coming up next? Oh, we got to get our picks in for. Oh, tonight, tonight, we should a game is tonight, baby. Well, we should do tonight and tomorrow because, okay. The only reason is what if the Phillies game goes 14 innings and we never, I would hate the, we never get on the air tomorrow. I think we should pick. Now, these won't count as official picks, right? Because Jack's not going to pick, but we will give our picks. Two, one, five, five, nine, two, ninety, four, ninety, four.
