This drives me crazy, and I don't want to make our O-B-D-Michael K-E-S-P-N.
I mean, think about it here.
If you're the Yes Network, or if you're SNY, Yes Network does all the Yankee games.
Think of more of the great games that you don't have a chance to do, because Major League
Baseball in there and in their ever-redding search to get the O-Modied Dollar, they move
the games around.
So, tonight, yes, it's done the Yankees for 25 years, they do basically every opening
day.
Where is the game tonight?
It's on Netflix, at 8 o'clock, the home opener, or the season opener, Yankee's Giants,
I mean, G-Wiz, it's fair enough, you've got to find Netflix, but if you're Yes that
does 162 games, Yankees and the Freaking Tampa Rays in August, and they carried the ball
game, this is the big game for them, and they can't do it, because Baseball realizes
that the marquee game takes it off, Yes is played, and gives it somewhere else.
That's not the right thing to do, and then tomorrow, the Mets against Scenes, who the
home world loved in the World Baseball class, the Paris Mets and City Field, the game
isn't on SNY, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
the game isn't freaking NBC, and peacock, what's, that's not fair, I don't agree with him
and know about the SNY thing, or the Yes thing, in other words, in the case of SNY, the
games on NBC, so it's on, it's on a bigger network, so what, you know what he's really
doing?
What?
Where's the game?
Of course.
Okay, so, I mean, you're right, and that part of it is, it's available to more people,
you can still watch, I came in New York, and the opening night game, you know, it's no
longer first pitch Sunday or whatever, Tuesday afternoon in Cincinnati, which used to be
the historical first pitch in any major league season.
It's like they do a night game the night before, and they put it on a national, so like,
without getting at all into the detail, I'm really saying mad dogs with me in tone.
Yeah, yeah, I understand that in spirit, in spirit, what he's saying is the games on Netflix,
what do you mean it's on Netflix?
Right.
You moved it on me.
What's on Netflix?
Now, I got a sign up for Netflix to watch an F and baseball game, and what's my log
in?
Because I know he does that too, probably.
Dave, definitely.
His kid has the account, I got an authenticated log in, and Emma, pick up your phone,
they sent you a password, Emma, pick up your phone.
They sent you an authentication thing I need it, call my daughter New Orleans at the bar.
I could you please just send me the bear, what's the verification code, Emma, I'm trying
to get on this thing.
Is this the game?
What's it on?
That's mad dogs point.
I gotta go where?
Now I gotta do what?
I'd look this up, wiki has a grid of where all MLB games are being played.
Oh, this thing was great.
There are packages they've sold, I don't even know existed.
There's a Sunday morning game.
Yeah, that's the big car game.
It was on, it had been on Roku.
There's something called a Sunday, second, 1130 games.
They call it a Sunday lead off game, okay, there's 18 Sunday lead off games.
So I've just looked just eyeball on the red side, they have a ton of 130 starts, so it's
not morning.
I think last year or the year before, were they playing games in the F and morning?
Yes, there were like 1130 games, yes, on Roku.
I thought it was on peacock at the time, but whatever, anyway, I thought it had been
on Roku, but now it's on peacock.
I don't see any 11AM starts for you other than, you know, the obvious to the marathon
game, but I don't, but you have a crap ton of 130 starts.
Weekend 130 starts.
So is that that for cocktail lead off, anyway.
The Sunday morning game is on NBC, NBC, SN, which again, I got, I thought they killed
that thing off years ago, we old 865, we're used to watch NHL games, that's back.
Yeah, because I guess I need to stuff these baseball games somewhere.
So the Sunday morning package belongs to NBC, NBC, SN, Telemundo, peacock.
There's a Sunday afternoon package that they've sold, which is on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN
deportes, and ESPN, DTC.
Now I figured out what DTC is, but anyone, quick guys, on ESPN DTC, it's a, it's a buzzword
by all you A whole kids that are now shoving this down, direct to consumer, direct to consumer.
ESPN DTC, that another horrible gouge of an app, sounds a little dirty, like DTF, there's
a Sunday night, the Sunday night game used to be ESPN is not, now it is NBC, NBC, SN,
Telemundo, and peacock.
There's a Monday night baseball game, Dundero, you know, who has this one?
No, this you can find, apparently I tickled that Dundero's funny bone, that this was all
listed on.
No, wiki, you just keep going, mess MLB Network, FS1, ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN deportes, and ESPN,
your favorite.
ESPN is going to cover DTC, DTC, DTF, there should be DTP down to pork me.
There's a Tuesday night package, the same thing as DTF, really, just cleaner, you know
where you can find the Tuesday night games, TBS, still around, yes, of course, TBS, we're
about TNT.
Nope, just TBS, Wednesday night, there's a Wednesday night package, you can find those
games on either ESPN, FS1 or the MLB Network, there's a Thursday night package, you find
that one on ESPN or Fox and the MLB Network Friday night is still on Apple TV, is it Apple
TV or Apple TV Plus?
I believe it's Plus.
And how do I get that?
You just log on.
Oh, FU, how much is that going to cost me?
And Sarah, do you have the log in?
Huh?
No.
She doesn't have the log in.
I just ordered it again.
1299 a month ago.
She's ordered it.
Sure, she's ordered everything like three times because she, you're going to bundle
your service.
She can't be bothered to write down the password or remember the password.
So anytime she wants to watch some for Cock to Show, she opens up the app or the platform
on the TV.
She can't remember the password.
So I'll just get it again.
Buy it again.
So as we've been telling you, I've been getting peacocked.
I've been getting peacocked like in four different directions, never mind paramounted.
If you're up exactly right, and wait till you get who lubed.
There's a Saturday afternoon package, Fox, FS1, Fox Deportes, also, ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN
Deportes and ESPN, TTC or GTF.
There's a Saturday night package, which is Fox, Fox Deportes and Fox one.
What's Fox one?
I know, I know FS one.
Well, that's what I think it is, but maybe it isn't.
What's Fox one?
Sounds like a plane.
It sounds like porn is what it is.
Fox with two Xs Netflix Netflix now gets opening day.
The home run Derby Fox.
One additional quote, special event game.
Special event game.
Is that when they play in the cornfield and FNIOS?
Something like that.
Yeah, some stupid ass crap like that.
Feel the dreams game, yeah.
Special events.
Special event game.
We, as you know now, MLB TV is integrated into the ESPN app.
I made the mistake of trying to call the ESPN yesterday on this.
No, that I know.
Now all the games listed on ESPN have a little MLB TV logo in them.
I could go in.
I don't have the heart to get all wound up and tell you that phone call.
I just, I'll say again, I know they say these are recorded.
God help me if that recording ever gets out of what happened yesterday.
God help me.
I'm finished.
I'm finished.
I'm finished as a broadcast professional.
If that audio ever gets out, I'm done.
I asked Mike on the off air show once.
What's one thing he's a lead at that he's not proud of?
And he said that, dealing angrily with customer service.
What I told God, no, I'm about to push that.
I demanded where are you calling, where am I talking to you?
Because I want to talk to someone's state side.
Because nothing against people in these foreign countries, but there's a delay, the delay
is a kill.
The language.
It's just like, can I get someone, if you sometimes in a lot of these places, if you
request someone's state side, they will send you back state side.
So I tried to get, you know, where am I talking to you from?
Yeah.
Can I ask you a question?
What I told her to do is that?
Where are you?
If that audio gets out, I'm finished.
Where was she?
Done.
She wouldn't tell me.
I'm in state.
Oh, what state are you in?
I'm in state.
I don't divulge.
What state?
No, I'm in state.
What do you mean in state?
What state?
Hmm.
Yeah, I want to know where you are.
Remember, like, are you in Quincy?
Now and then there's audio recording.
What was it?
Was it Baldwin?
Alec Baldwin, calling his daughter a pig or something.
Yeah.
Remember that one?
Yeah.
That's, that's mild compared to what I told this poor girl to do.
And it wasn't about her.
It's just, this is what you're going to have me do, ESPN to try and figure this out.
I've been a loyal MLB TV subscriber, so I watched the Brewer games, you know, like I
out of market.
And it was enough for me to figure out how to do it on that platform.
Now you're switching to ESPN and how do I pay for it?
Am I being charged?
What am I being charged?
What am I getting?
Am I sure?
I don't want the whole F and slate.
I just need Brewer games.
Can I just talk to someone for a minute on this?
Someone here without a 10 second delay who I can communicate with for just a minute to
tell me, how do I get the game?
And what are you charging me?
A holes.
But I can't, you can't.
All games from the, so what do you want to watch the wild card games?
Where are the wild card games this year?
FS1.
NBC, NBC, SN, the mysterious and ever elusive NBC SN.
This is back.
And of course, peacock.
Ah, all MLB games played on Sunday, July 5th will air on NBC or peacock.
Apparently just on the 5th, not the 4th, the 5th.
Interesting.
It's a Sunday.
Obviously the day after the, okay, there will be a yearly prime time Labor Day and opening
day game on NBC and peacock.
This one confused me.
Both ESPN unlimited and peacock will each have a daily quote, game of the day that is
blacked out in home markets.
Every day they're just going to pick one.
And now the $240 I'm spending on that wretched joke of a nesanap is useless.
Is now no good.
They're going to do that every day all year.
That confused me.
There will be a Sunday afternoon whip around show on peacock following MLB Sunday leadoff.
Lord knows.
Yeah, whip around.
You should whip it out.
They've, they've just been dying to get costus that fossil back on the air to pontificate
about the beauty of the game of baseball whip it out is on the fox network, both costus
and NBC have been yearning to throw that guy back on the air.
So he can just prattle on about the beauty of the game of baseball and playing catch with
your father in the backyard.
Just dying to do it.
And now we get it.
Now we have it back.
Jimmy, that's for me.
I still web segment whip it out.
Beginning in 2027, Mazz, that would be fun.
Beginning in 2027, the most important game of the final day of the regular season will
be on NBC or the peacock.
Beginning in 2027, a yearly special event game will also be on NBC and the peacock.
What happened to the thing that was on Netflix?
I thought they got a special event game.
Well, that's a different special event.
You can find two cornfields now.
Yeah, this one's going to be like a festival.
So they can relive that incredibly overrated, trite piece of trash movie field of dreams.
I kind of like the horrible, I mean, horrible special event games, horrible, absolute joke
of a movie.
It's a mind.
If you went back and tried to watch it today, Mazz, you'd laugh at it.
It's so laughable.
It's a mockery of itself.
Oh, what else?
Oh, again, did I tell you how much the Nusson 360 app cost me?
Yeah, 240, 240 bucks a year.
240 beans.
That's a bargain, actually, because for an eight seed and a wildcard team that they don't
even staff pre and post game shows when they're not covering it.
They're so cheap.
They can't pay.
Karen is 16 bucks an hour to front a game that they don't have.
And the wildcard hockey team.
That's going to be one and done again if they make it 200 right 240 beans a year for that.
If you go monthly, it's 360.
I do go monthly.
So it is 360, isn't it?
29, 99 a month.
It's 30 bucks a month.
I do go monthly because I keep, I game, I'm going to cancel you A-holes any day and I
keep forgetting.
So that's what it is.
If you pay for the A-hole.
I pay 360.
That's why it's 360.
You're getting 360.
Oh, that's right.
That's why they call it 360.
Because we get, we, you think it's because we have full comprehensive coverage.
No, no, no, no.
We're laughing at you at how badly we're boning you.
So we're going to make the cost part of the title and you don't even know it.
You're laughing at you, Felger.
That never occurred to me.
It never occurred to me either.
Yep.
They never occurred to me either.
Wait till they're really spinning around and it becomes 720.
Since they hit you for double, this might be bigger than the strikeout issue.
Where's the game?
It's up there.
How do I get it?
What's that costing me?
Is that app on my TV?
I have to download that onto my TV.
I don't want to watch it on my phone.
I mean, I do, but I don't.
I don't want to.
I want to watch it on TV.
Do I have that?
How do I get it?
How much is it going to cost me?
And now when I'm watching it, as we all know, like a night, like tonight, Bruin's big game,
Celtics, big game, two great games right there.
Yes, absolutely.
Bruin Celtics.
Baseball season opener.
Yankee's giants, cool game.
I can't toggle between that.
I got it into the platform.
Like these streaming servers have been entering me for now five years running.
I've got it in.
So I can't bounce between the channels.
I got to figure out how to f you.
I'm not watching the baseball.
When I log in to Netflix, how much is that again?
And Emma, you have to text me back the authentication.
They're authenticating me here.
They won't let me log in as you, which sent me the effing thing.
Oh, they're doing more than authenticating you.
So the whole thing, this is an issue in sports.
And I think in football, obviously, we're willing to go through the hoops because there's
like 12 different things you have to either subscribe to pay for or have.
And pretty much we all do it because it's football.
Baseball, as much as I think it's come back and it's a good product right now, it's really
easy to say, wait, I have to do what?
Download.
And then how much is that?
F you want me to watch something else.
And that's what they got to figure that out.
Definitely.
And again, it's not going to be, as you said, for a few years, all those TB deals are coming
up at the end of 2028.
So they're not going to have this thing centralized for three more years.
OK, I'm done for the time being.
We'll get to your phone calls right after this.

My name's Mackenzie, and I started to go fund me for the adoptive mother of a nonverbal,
autistic child.
The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able to find adequate care for this
autistic child.
So she really needed some help with living expenses, paying some back bills.
So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them during this crisis.
And we raised about $10,000 within just a couple of months.
I think that the surprising thing was by telling a clear story and just like really being
very clear about what we needed, we had some really generous donations from people
who were really moved by the situation that this family was struggling with.
GoFundMe is the world's number one fundraising platform, trusted by over 200 million people.

The pitch clock, what data points do you guys have to support either the success of the
pitch clock or things that need to get better about the pitch clock?
Well, I think the two most important points are since we implemented the pitch clock.
Our attendance has increased four years in a row and we hadn't had it, increases
like that in a while.
Secondly, everything we do, we pull our fans to find out how they react.
The pulling on the pitch clock is almost uniformly positive.
Fans really like the pitch clock.
They like the fact that the game is about half an hour faster than it used to be.
The pace of the game is better.
We see the clock is an unilideic success.
Bloody been hanging patiently, Dan and Rockland, go ahead.
You guys are overthinking it.
If Felger and Maz heard Felger and Maz suggesting these permutations to fix the ball and play,
you would have Murray making production right now.
It's simple as this.
You need to push the fences back.
The outfielders are too fast, their arms are too good, there's no more to hit the ball
anymore.
It might seem simple.
You had stats on the doubles and triples.
I do not agree that the outfielders are faster.
Okay, but we underrate how exciting it is to see that ball rolling away from them in
the outfield.
It seems simple.
We talked about doubles and triples, but yeah, that's amazing.
I think you're, thank you for hanging, Dan.
This is going to sound insulting.
I don't mean to insult you.
Your idea is preposterous, too much money it would cost to go into these stadiums and
remove 10 rows of stands in every ballpark and move, they're not going to do that.
These cheap ass MLB owners are not going to do that and they like home runs anyway.
How about just moving the outfielders in and put a line back?
I mean, that's what they should do again.
They're going to have to litigate it out because the teams will keep doing it.
The other thing is, did he say balls in play issue at the beginning?
Yeah.
Okay, what is the outfield fence have to do with that?
That's contact.
Like, you know, that's doubles and triples what he's talking about.
So and the other thing is, you know, the opposite just happened in Kansas City, they brought
the fences in.
Okay.
So they're doing the opposite.
They did it at Camping Yards and then they moved them back again, didn't they?
They moved them back and then moved them in.
That's what they did.
So like, but Kansas City's always been a place that you don't play.
Yeah, cavernous.
Right.
Plays really big.
Well, dribbles ballpark.
Yeah.
They brought the fences in.
Those are coming in.
Larry have come in.
Larry in the car.
Go ahead, Larry.
Yeah.
Sorry.
I'm glad we're past that part.
We're talking about peacocks, people's packages and peak piece and we, we, and everything
else, but I got something I got a bone to pick with you, Felger.
You know, when you say that hockey is a niche sport, it is, I just got to hit you with
some numbers.
This past year, 71 million people attended baseball games, 23 million attended NHL games,
22 million attended and V.A. games and, of course, because of less games is 10 million.
And how many and how many attended monster trucks, about a hundred and forty five million.
Actually, my point or monster trucks of mainstream deal or is it a niche thing?
Niche.
How many wrestling fans did they generate?
You know, like, oh, God.
So I just cause the NHL does well to gate.
They do decent ticket sales.
It just doesn't have broads of just, oh, it's, it's okay hockey fans.
We don't need it to be any more than it is.
We get to watch it, enjoy it, talk about it.
It's big enough to support a show like this and talk about it on this show that's all
I care about.
Can I watch hockey and talk about it professionally and have an audience doing it and have make
a living doing it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was, I didn't know that when we started this show, 17 years ago.
But now I do.
So I don't care.
I don't know.
It doesn't have to be big.
It just has to be big enough.
And it is.
Larry and Andover.
Go ahead, Larry.
Yeah.
Hey, I think Mantis done great.
I think we put Larry to sleep, apparently, just a guess, quick, Larry goes, we also woke
him up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was sleeping.
Yeah.
I know.
I could have sleep with you guys.
Hey, I think the manford has done a great job with baseball.
But there's two, there's two things that bother me and it bothers you guys too.
It's analytics and the streaming services and, hey, Mike, this one thing you didn't cover
is that try cancelling these services.
Oh, one time the kids will, you know, that's when they send you to the Philippines.
Oh my gosh.
Seriously.
Yeah.
That is brutal.
Brutal.
And not just streaming service.
They all do it now, but keep going.
And there ought to be a law and they tried.
They tried the, they being Congress.
Can't remember who authored it might have been even marquee, but if not someone authored
a bill, click to cancel something like this where it would be mandated on these sites
that it is just as easy to hit cancel as it is to hit subscribe.
The subscribe buttons massive and big and easy to navigate and right there.
Try finding the cancel option on these places.
It is don't get me started on this.
Don't get me started on that one.
That duplicitous finger banging that these multi-billion dollar corporations do, taking
your $3.99 at a time.
And that's how they're getting rich because they purposely make it so I can't figure out
how to cancel.
And so they just filter my $3.99 a month.
That is so gross.
I can't even tell you nothing gets my blood boiling more than that.
No, it's a total weasel move.
Speaking of which Dakota and Brain True had Dakota before I get to that great take by
Don DeRot Mike, Mike, if you can't find a way to cancel those, just go on your credit
card and you can actually cancel it to your credit card and just tell them to remove
the tokens and there will be a lot easier than doing the deal with them.
Okay.
I'll have them remove the tokens.
No.
The token is the author.
I don't know.
I don't want to know what the tokens are.
I don't, please.
All right.
Anyways, just to take a point off of what Don DeRot said about the growth of MLB over NBA,
50% of all sports betting right now is in-game betting.
And MLB has been growing 50% year over year for the last two years as it relates to in-game
betting.
There's more opportunity.
It's slower paced when you're betting in-game on NBA because of the delays on TV.
A lot of times when you try to go to bed, those lines are already gone because of the delay
and everything.
Okay.
Baseball, baseball gives you a better opportunity for in-game.
Yeah.
Dakota, I want to see if those baseball numbers still increase now that the Cleveland Indians
bullpen is a deal.
I would like to see how that whether that really continues.
I mean, could it be that they're, you know, it was going up a little bit because those
guys were betting on themselves.
I'm half choking, obviously.
Baseball, if it's creeping back above basketball, it's because it's a better sport.
It's a better sport.
Baseball is a better sport than basketball.
It just is, it, it had ruined, baseball had been ruined for a time.
Not just the analysts, but the pace of play.
Now we've addressed the pace of play.
Now we got to handle the analysts.
So there's still a lot of work to do.
But baseball is a better sport.
It's a better game than these giant guys just reaching up with a ball in the basket and
then complaining about a foul over and over and over again up and down the floor.
It's just baseball is just a better game.
And when it's played right, it's maybe the best game there is.
And so I think what has happened the last couple of years is we've gotten the game back
to a degree and a portion of it, right?
It's, it's got to keep going.
Here's Mike in Connecticut.
Go Mike.
Hello.
Yes, Mike.
You're out.
Please go.
Yeah.
I think the one thing we can all agree on is that everybody hates the catchers trying
to steal strikes.
I mean, not one fan that I know would agree with that.
So that's, and to keep the game of a month, they put the automatic ball striking, then
you don't have a challenge.
The game will be quicker.
Yeah.
I don't know if it'd be quicker, Mike, but Manfred is part of that interview I listened
to on San Fran Radio was asked this and I didn't clip it, but he basically gave an answer
that said, well, in consultation with our players, we wanted to refer to our players
and respect the idea that if you go fully automated on the balls and strikes, you're kind
of taking a position off the field.
You're taking a skill set off the field.
And that was his answer and he didn't specify, but what he obviously means is the catchers
that frame pitches and you lose the art of framing the pitch, which one I thought about
for half a second, I said, good.
I hate framing pitches.
I would wish I would like to see that the quote unquote art of framing a pitch gone from
the game.
It's another distraction.
You're just trying to cheat.
It's, it's, it's flopping basically.
I mean, you know what I mean?
It's like cheating.
It's just trying to buy a call, which I hate in all forms.
Okay.
I just, I've never thought of it like that.
I never thought about starts framing pitches.
Well, what do you think they're doing?
He's taking a ball and making it a strike.
Can you just trying to make it look like a strike?
He's trying to buy a call.
It's the same thing if a guy's just trying to, you know, sell.
He made the catcher.
I don't like it.
Yeah.
I don't like it.
No, it's like flopping in the end of the game.
And he goes stumbling.
You know, you give a little guy shoving the ball back and he goes stumbling into the front
row.
Jalen Brown.
I don't think it's flopping.
Or you put your stick around a guy and all of a sudden he's going, you know, head over
teak head over the stick to draw a tripping.
Clopping soft.
Nobody's saying that the catchers are soft because they're trying to frame a pitch.
It's different, but it's buying a call.
I have no use for anyone trying to buy a call.
I'm not here to watch the breaths and watch someone trying to bake the refs up faking and
then jumping into the guy at the three point line.
I just have no need for that.
You're just trying to buy it.
You're not trying to make the shot.
You're trying to buy a call.
By the way, when Manfred says, you know, the players, he means the union.
Yeah, the union is what he means.
So listen, they have the ability to unilaterally do it, meaning go to full umpire, full automation.
I think they're just holding back because they don't, you know, they've, they've certainly
shoved enough down the player's throats that they're mindful of, well, there's also a
labor to go.
You know, this is not a hill.
We're going to die on.
We'll start with just the three challenges of game and go from there.
Maybe we'll go to it at some point.
We're not going to do the, we're not going to push that button yet, but they have it.
And I bet it'll have, and if it's to get rid of pitch framing, I'm all for it.
It's gotten ridiculous.
And again, the thing I mentioned before, Dunderro is because again, the analysts have taken
over.
We figured out that the closer to the plate, the catcher gets the more easy, easily, more
easily, he can frame the pitch or try and buy the call.
So now the catchers have crept up and the catcher interference calls have gone through
the roof because the batters are hitting the catchers glove because he's trying to buy
the Fing pitch.
Just throw the ball, catch the ball, call the ball or strike and play.
Just play.
Everybody just play.
It's also one of the few places you really have any human interaction with the umpires
anymore.
Like there's none of that.
I like the arguments and the only arguments you get now are on balls and strikes.
I like those arguments.
Anyway, we continue with more your thoughts coming up after Dunderro's update here.
