My husband planned a lunch the day before our baby's birth and didn't invite me. Well, that's just rude. I 31 female M9 months pregnant with our first child and I'm booked in for a cesarean tomorrow at 7.30 AM. Wow, that sounds anxiety inducing.

Of all the times to book a C-section. My husband 38 male is on his second day at parental leave and he will be off work for a month. We had told family will be hanging out at home together all day to get the last few things organized for the hospital tomorrow. He was my understanding that we would be spending the day together essentially, pottering around the house and spending time together. You should be on his hands and knees. Yeah, you should be walking like he should be the carpet. You shouldn't even be walking. He should be carrying you everywhere. Truly, you think the day right before... You get cut open. The C. The big old C-section. You think he'd be anything. He'd be like, you know what? Anything. If I was about to be getting a C-section, my partner should be by me every single thing that I want. Getting that sushi boat ready. Massage, freaking bath. I don't know. Actually, I heard that you're not supposed. Maybe it's just hot to... I don't know.

I don't know. Whatever I can have, I'm getting snacks on deck. This morning his mom suggested she come over for coffee to see us before the baby arrives. He said again, we would just be home today so that would be fine and to come over whenever she liked. When I got to 11am, she had an arrived yet. He then said he was annoyed because he was going to be late for a pub lunch with his friend. And you say that friends me, right? Am I the friend? Did you give me lunch? That's so sweet. I was surprised to hear he had made lunch plans and said to him, you're going to lunch? What about me? He said he didn't think I'd want to come and it wasn't a big deal. Oh, you know what? Is it a big deal? Giving birth to the C-section to our child Tyler and Tamara. Tomorrow. I felt disappointed as he is a habit of not considering or inviting me when making plans during our time off together, which has mostly been our weekends up until now. By the way, this comes from Baby Bright 1992. And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the R-slush okay story time suburb it. I'm Sophia.

I'm Keon. And we're here. We're the only ones here to give you good advice, goofly. There's no one in that seat. I wonder why. I wonder why. I wonder, Gia, you know what? We're such good workers. Yeah. We're such hard workers. Wow. Slackers. Slackers. All of them. But anyway, we're here to give good advice, goofly. And if you have any advice, put in the comments. We have to say shout out to everyone else, Riley Savannah, Arthur, You're till five, five, five, 30 or something. Something. Oh, man, they really, they powered through. They truly did. But Opie says his mom came for her visit, which was enjoyable and uneventful. His lunch was brought up by him and his mom agreed with me that it was a bit strange. He had organized to do something without me today. Yeah. Today of all days. Yeah. Sounds reasonable. He said again, he didn't think it would matter. And it's his last day before becoming a father as well. Oh.

So, okay, so mom, mom doesn't get to do anything before her last day? Uh, mom with big belly, baby, uh, having a cesarean tomorrow. Nothing for her. Nothing. After she left, he asked if I wanted to come for lunch. Oh, oh, thank you. Oh, now I get to come. Thank you. But by this point, I decided I didn't want to because I felt like a third wheel and unwanted. So I said no. I was setting up the baby monitor when he came in to tell me, I should cut him some slack because he's going to be looking after me and the baby for the next month. Hey, speaking of getting cut, uh, you want to really bring that up? I'll cut something. Which is an exaggeration, but fine. So he should be able to go out for an hour if he wants. It's like not even that though. It's just the fact that he didn't even tell you. He didn't even say, hey, do you want me to bring anything back? Do you want to come with me? Nothing. What are you craving, you know? He also wanted me to tell him he wasn't going to have to hear about this again. Meaning I understood it was fine

and wouldn't bring it up again. Why is he gaslighting you? I don't like this guy. This caused an argument as, I wouldn't say wouldn't get mentioned again. And I ended up telling him that I felt disappointed when he made plans without me and I felt unimportant. He got angry, I cried. He left for lunch and I don't know whether I'm in the wrong or not. It's not really about him going out with his friend. Usually at 100% wouldn't matter at all. But as it's our last day together before our baby arrives, I would just like to have been factored into the decision-making and not be told as an aside, after plans are already made. Am I the A.O. And we do have an update. I imagine everyone in the comments is saying, this guy stinks. This guy stinks. This guy stinks. Truly. And yes, I'm working on everyone getting back on the chat. Give me a sec. Yeah. Um. He lost him. Yeah, I think this is a tough time to realize your husband's kind of stinky. But what do you think, Keon? This is the day before the big day.

Yeah. I don't know. I don't think he has any right. Even if it was just like, hey, I'm going out for an hour, as long as you just told me. Yeah. Like, tell me in advance. Say, hey, I just need an hour to myself. And then I'll be back and helping you prep and we'll make sure that we're all good to go. Why can't we do that? Truly. Update. I was not expecting the volume of response to this. I'm oscillating between packing hospital clothes and reading comments. But we'll quickly say thank you to everyone who had thoughtful responses. We are both feeling a lot with everything going on tomorrow and emotions and tensions were definitely running high. He wasn't his best self in the moment and I've definitely had my moments of being hormonal and erupting recently. So while I agree I'm not the a-hole in this instance, I'll accept there has been some increased sensitivity and insecurity on my part that added weight to the situation. Husband apologized not long after I posted for turning home and is currently hanging some shelves in the nursery.

Sorry to those who suggested we end it. That would have been a little bit- That's way too much. That would have been like your about to have a baby. And sorry to the one person who suggested he was out with a side chick. It's a little bit too much guys. That's a little bit too much. We could be mad at him for going to the pub with his friend but let's not make up other things. But there is a second update. We arrived home from the hospital last night with our beautiful healthy baby girl. Congrats. Yay! My husband was absolutely incredible throughout the delivery and our time in the maternity ward. He has handled every nappy change, every burping session, helped me with feeding and pumping, kept track of our feeding schedule, made sure I've been as comfortable as possible at all times, and has not stopped faunting over a little girl from the second they put her in his arms in the operating theater. He left the hospital for a total of one hour in the five days to go and pick some things up for me and he didn't want to leave my side. My husband can be very un-empathetic at times.

He can struggle to see things from other perspectives, particularly when he's under pressure or stressed. This is not news to me. I have known this about him from the beginning. He has many, many other great qualities which outweigh this flaw. Plus a bunch of others, no one's perfect. But when you're arguing with your partner and an emotional state, it's very easy not to think about the things you love about them and hone in on whatever's upsetting you in the moment. I struggle to regulate my emotions and periods of stress and become insecure when I feel my needs are not being met. I am aware of this and have a great network of support to manage it, but it can be difficult to recognize in the moment. Yay, I just hope continuing now. I mean, yeah, divorce or it's bleeding up and ending things. That's too over the edge. Yeah. I mean, he came in clutch during the time. He was really needed. But I just hope he doesn't do this in the future. Or that you can just kind of learn how to communicate

needs better. Truly, I'd just be like, both of you. Yeah, exactly. I mean, that's part of the relationship. It's part of adulthood and having a family and everything. I think you guys are going to be fine, but I would just talk it out and be okay. Just talk to me. Just chat. Just give me a little chat. But there's a little bit left to the story, so let's finish her off. None of these things make my husband a mistreater. They make him a scared first-time dad who doesn't fully understand the emotional gravity of having a baby interacting with a pregnant woman who has been a mum already for the last nine months. However, I can see why people think this based on what I've written. Pregnant woman comes to read it to ask about mean husband who doesn't care about her, was always going to elicit the mistreater response. In reality, things are more nuanced than one person's side in the middle of an argument. Anyway, for anyone following along at home, our daughter is snapped both of us out of our panic, and we're back to being a team. Very much besotted with each other and our little girl.

Yay! I'm off to give her a cuddle and some breakfast. Ha-za! Great news. I love how that turned out. Very positive. I'm sorry. I don't think you can see her, but she's just like under. Oh, you can see her a little bit. Her little nose. Her little nose. Do you want to get her a carrot? Yeah, she's like, what are you doing? What are you doing? I hope you guys think we should like see her face. Yeah, that's really cute. And that's the end of this story. We're gonna go onto the next one. My stepdaughter ignored me for years until she thought I'd fund her school. Okay, but I'll be nice now. I am 48 years old. My husband has a daughter from his first marriage. She is 22. She never wanted to have a relationship with me, and I have always been careful with her. I never tried to be her mother. I stated my lane and kept things respectful. Our relationship was always distant, but fine. Coming to the point, she wants to go to grad school. My husband saved a specific amount for this purpose. It was meant for a local university. She suddenly changed her mind.

She applied to an expensive school, which my husband claims that he doesn't know. And she got in. Oh, dang. Congrats, I guess. The tuition there is double what my husband saved. Oh, dang. He told her clearly that it is out of our budget. Or especially his budget. She did not seem to care too much about it, and she just expected the money to appear. She said, I get that, but like, I got it. Money, please. She probably didn't say please. No, she said okay. This stressed my husband a lot, so my husband had been discussing the tuition gap. I have some personal inheritance money that I keep separate. I have saved this to buy a house together. My husband had asked me if I could cover the difference for his daughter. I told him, no. I did not feel it. It was my responsibility as we had agreed to keep this part separate. I could see how he was stressed out about it. So I agreed to just think about it. I believe he talked to his sister at one point and told her about our conversation. By the way, this comes from user Royal Add 4392.

And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the R-slash okay story time subreddit. I'm Keon. I'm Sophia. And it's just us two. And we're just goofy. Just like that. We don't know everything. We only know what we do. So let's know what you do in the comments down below. As OP says, two days later, sister-in-law told the daughter that I was paying for the school. Ooh. Oh, that's that's so funny, because that's not true. Who said you could do that? They're like, what if we just, what if we just manifest it? Hmm. The daughter called me out of nowhere. She was suddenly very warm and thanked me over the phone. I was completely confused. I told her straight out that there was a misunderstanding. I told her I am not paying for it. The call then went cold immediately. The conversation felt it was, it went from zero to 100 real quick. She said she always knew I did not care about her future. She said I was hoarding money just to be cruel. She went on a rant and mentioned how I am controlling her with the money. You can't. What?

How are you control? You're controlling me with your money. That's like a buy enough to a random person was like, give me your money. They were like, no. And I was like, you're controlling me with your money. How can you be controlling someone? Girl, it's not your money. It's not your money. And it was never your money. A few choice words were said. And I called her entitled. Yes. Title card. In titled card. I feel completely blindsided. She only showed me warmth when she thought she was going to be getting my money. She has ignored me for years before this. Now, my husband is acting quiet. He says he understands my choice, but his silence feels heavy. I can tell he expects me to just cave and pay it just to keep the peace. My sister-in-law made a mess and now I look like the villain. I do have the funds, but the entitlement makes me sick. I... Yeah, I don't blame you. Don't give it or... You're only nice to me because you want my money. Yeah. And the father is just full on spoiling his daughter. Like the fact that he said, this is how much money I have to give you.

So you can go to this school and then she completely ignored that. And it's like, well, I want to go to this school. Let me go. I think, depending on how much, maybe a little bit just, you know, but you don't have to. It's your money. You do whatever you want with it. Um, I don't know. I'm just going to reply back to her. Mmm, no. It's called student loans. Exactly. It's called like pay your own way. You're 22. Oh, that doesn't sound good. You don't want to do that? Actually, we have things she's older than that. She's 20. You know she's 22. Oh, she's 22. Yeah, I don't know about you, but she's 22. Um, yeah, I don't know. She just sounds like a little spoiled brat or just a brat, not spoiled. Yeah. Well, she wants to be spoiled. I feel like her dad does spoil her in saying, like, oh, well, I don't have the money for this, but we'll just could Joel someone else than to doing it. Yeah. I refused to back down during the argument and told her she needs to grow up. What should I do? Or is there a middle ground in this? And there's an update. Now, you don't have anything like your husband can't get mad.

That money was for you. Yeah. And you also, I mean, according to you, specifically said we're going to keep this part separate. Yeah. Yeah. Don't be coming into my savings or to my money that I held for a house for your daughter who kind of pulled the rug under you about going to college. Yeah. Or where she wanted to go to university. Or her grad school or something. Wherever. Yeah. I mean, congrats to her. Great. This was not part of the plan. Mm-hmm. Maybe you should have told us in advance. We have an update. So, my gut told me to stand firm, but seeing my husband stressed made me feel bad. His daughter is a good student, not a good daughter to you. And having the means to help made me second guess everything. I posted since she was supposed to visit in person after the phone call, and I needed help handling the meeting. The response was overwhelming. It stressed me out more when strangers questioned my marriage and claimed my husband was using me. I logged out in a panic. I got to thank Reddit for letting me read comments anonymously, anonymously, haha.

My husband noticed how I was looking at my phone continuously. So, I just handed him my phone. He took a long time to read through it all. I watched his face change. He looked up at me, and he apologized sincerely. I know many people in the comments were judging him harshly, but they do not know the ins and outs of our daily life. My husband has been mostly a supportive and loving partner to me. He was wrong for dragging me into this mess and expecting me to pay. But human beings are complicated. That's true. Very true. Life is rarely black and white. We almost always operate in the gray areas. Is this Dakota? He loves saying that. None of us are perfect, but we try our best to make our relationships perfect, which is why I was looking for a middle ground. We had a long talk. No other daughter and his family has gone to grad school. And the ex-wife can't afford it. He wanted more for her. But she applied abroad without asking. He felt trapped between his promise and his budget, which is why he mentioned that he leaned on me.

We discussed my inheritance as well. Our current apartment isn't his name, but I paid for the renovations. We agreed our next house will be in my name, and he will pay for renovations. I even made him agree to help build the garden and I always wanted. So before she arrived, I called my sister-in-law. My husband had only told her he asked me for help. She claimed that when the daughter granted, she just mentioned that she was talking to me. She got defensive when I said it was not her place to share our private business. She swore she never said I agreed to pay. Side tangent, she loves drama, so I'm not sure. But I dropped it for now. When the daughter arrived, she acted completely normal. My husband stopped her immediately. He made it clear his savings were all that she was getting. He suggested that she take loans against family insurance policies in her name, or even work to cover cost. Oh wow, that sounds logical. Yeah. Right? Ava, you smell like dog. You can't see her. You can't see her? She is staring at me.

She's entraping me right now. She's just a little puppy. Drew, you're so cute. I'm sorry, I cannot play with you. Back to the story. She looked at him like he had three heads at the thought of working. She's got to have to be an adult. She's got to learn how to do adult. Yeah, I'm glad you're finally setting down or at least your husband is finally like setting down the law because she needed to learn it eventually. And I think it's also good lesson for your husband because it's Daddy's princess. And he went like, and he was probably just like in a panic. And I think he finally comes at the conclusion, especially after reading everything. That he's like, oh, you know what? I'm back to reality. I don't. I, you get what you get. I had this. You didn't tell me what you were doing. Sorry. It's not his fault. It's not his fault. Other than the daughters, I think he's very proud that his daughter got into a very good university or, but it's too, it's expensive. So sucks to suck, unfortunately. But we got a little bit left. Let's go ahead and finish this story. Opie says, then she lost control.

Oh, no. Screaming and calling his names. Wow, that's gonna get you money. Yeah. She said she was disappointed in him and claimed, I corrupted him. It got toxic. So I asked you to leave. My husband was too stunned to speak. He's still visibly shaken this morning. I will be spending time with family. Thank you. Thank you to everyone who commented and defended me. I never expected this attention. It made me emotional. And I do not have a large family. So your kindness means everything. Heart. Dang. Tough. I think he's finally seeing the dark side of his daughter. Yeah. You know, seeing the truth. And maybe like the consequences, we don't know how much is him and how much he says X. But it's definitely a little bit of the consequences of his own actions and not, you know, holding his daughter accountable for things. She's 22. Don't worry. Reality is going to get her, get to her real quick. Especially if this is how she's acting towards her parents. True. She still can't be very happy. But with what he had saved for her, that's crazy.

You're not entitled to this money. It's not your money. Go make your own. Sorry. Um, that's the end of that story. We have another one coming right up. I evicted a server for my wedding for wearing too much makeup. Your server was serving. Haha. I had 25 female and my husband 30 male. That married last Friday. We planned our dream wedding down to our dream catering company. The wedding was beautiful. After the pictures we headed to our cocktail hour. And that's when I saw her. Oh. My guests were all told to wear dark colors. So my husband and I stood out. I also asked my guest to wear minimal makeup. I'd assumed that applied to staff too. The server 19-ish female had on clearly too much eyeliner. Oh, Lord, you're the a-hole. Immediately you're the a-hole. She also had diamond studs in her ears. A flashy ring. And one of those ugly nose studs. You're an a-hole. You're an a-hole. You're an a-hole. Yikes. You stop. She had a- Wait, okay.

Should a diamond ring. Was it her engagement ring? Interesting. Is she supposed like, because a diamond ring to me, I mean, it might not be, but if it- Either way, she shouldn't have to take it off. What is she's got like a nose ring studs, which are like the smallest. Opie's giving me bridesilver right now. Oh, yeah. Just time. I'm supposed- I'll continue, but it's giving. I am the center of attention. It is my day. Everyone has to look ugly and drab, just because it's my day. Yeah. I'm the only one who can wear makeup on my day. Crazy. Continue the story. The staff's uniform was a black long sleeve shirt, but on her, it was too low cut and her pants were far too tight. Oh, okay. So now we're shaming her body? It was super distracting. To who? You? She was walking around serving drinks and talking to my guests. I asked another member of the staff to speak to their boss. When their boss came out, I pointed at the server and then I asked that she be dealt with because she was super distracting.

By the way, this comes from user present at 3934. And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the R slash, okay, story time subreddit. I'm Keon. I'm Sophia. And it's just us. Just us two. Look at that other chair. Empty. Just like our thoughts. We don't know everything. We only know what we do. So let's know what you do down the comments below. As Opie says, their boss apologized and called the server back into the kitchen. Not even an hour later, the server was back and she was serving food for dinner. Oh no, she's doing her job. Get her. Get her. I called the boss over again and asked if the server could work in the back or just go home. Her boss said they were short staff tonight. So she would see what could be done. After a couple of hours of not seeing her, I saw the server again behind the bar. Oh my gosh. She's in your head. She's in your head. She's she's rooting the wedding. There's the person doing their job and doing their job.

She probably look better than you. 100%. I called the boss out one last time. Imagine really quick. Yeah. You're supposedly enjoying the happiest day of your life or one of the happiest days of your life and the whole time. Your folks don't the server wearing a nose piercing. And too much eyeliner. This 19 year old girl who's just doing her job and just, you know, being a 19 year old girl, bothering you is hilarious to me. Let's get our priority straight. Maybe take a look in the mirror and see how crazy you're acting. Yeah. I called the boss out one last time, third time's the charm, right? And told her if the server didn't leave, I would be calling the cops. What? What? You suck. The boss finally relented and told the girl to go home. Oh, I feel bad for her. I bet Opie's gonna be like, and then the rest of the night, no one was getting served their food. My husband and mother-in-law said I was acting crazy

and that I probably got a poor college kid fired over nothing. My mother and made of honor, said it's my wedding, so I can do as I please. Hi, Cree. You say, okay, off with her head. Off with her head. Off with her head. Off with his head. Yeah. And they go, it's her wedding. She can do whatever the freak she wants. Yep, I see where you get it from. Your mother and made of honor also sound like they suck. Opie, continue saying, it's my wedding. And I don't want someone overshining me. If it's that easy for someone to... Call out shine you. You must be called... I called it. Ugly on the inside and outside. I truly called it. He called it. I did. Look at that man. He called it. I called it. I called it. Ring ring. It was me. Who's that? I called it. And the server should know she's at work and not dress up so much. I do feel kind of bad because she was pretty young. No, you don't. Am I the A-hole? And verdict. Yeah. You are. Yeah. I don't need to answer that. Everyone knows you're the A-hole.

Pretty, pretty cut and dry there. You're so insecure. A 19 year old girl with a stud and some eyeliner caused you to ruin your day. Yeah. Did you even have fun at your wedding? I'm pretty sure your husband is going, I don't know about this. This is day one. There's some top comments here. But anything else you want to add before we get into the comments. Just that I would be rethinking this marriage. Top comments. Yappled Apple. Love that name. You're the A-hole. You are so insecure that you asked your guest to dress down for the wedding and you harassed a server until she was fired. I don't know how you look on the outside but on the inside you are ugly. Y'all. We breed. Get her. Epo Styler. Yeah. It wouldn't take much to outshine Opie on her best day. Jeepers. Creepers. 74 says you're the A-hole. But don't worry. I'm sure the catering team will get it right at your next wedding. Oh.

Oh. Big old burn. Big old burn. Apply ice to that one. Pixie P-48 says Opie honestly sounds unhinged. She threatened to call the police because one of the servers was wearing jewelry in a low-cut top. I'm sick of people using the old. It's my day line to justify treating people like crap at their wedding. Dragon girl. Don't forget the eyeliner. The audacity. I hope you says. And this is Opie responding. The problem is she didn't remove her jewelry or makeup and she didn't change shirts. She did nothing to fix the problem and walked around my wedding anyway. I would have cared if she had toned it down after the first time I asked. An anonymous AF guy says did he ask her to tone it down and take off the jewelry? Or did he simply ask to get her removed because her presence was in an abomination to you? I hope he says. Yes. I asked her boss to tell her to tone it down. And she didn't. We have an update. You suck. I don't care what you say. You suck. I don't care that's crazy.

It's absolutely crazy. We have an update. Uh. Oh. Oh. I'm going to read this title of the update. Oh, baby. This is some juicy stuff. This is an update. A redder who works for the catering company replied. Here we go. We're getting someone else's perspective and I guarantee you it's way worse than it was. Yeah. Not going to lie. This sounds like a story my coworker told me after sending the post to my work group chat. I confirmed this is in fact the same wedding. Stop. Stop. Stop. So good. And I have screenshots of the text I got sent during the wedding. Just as clarify some things I saw in the comments though. Are uniforms changed depending on the weather? This was a daytime wedding in 90 degree heat. So lightweight long sleep tops. The wedding was a three and a half hour drive for most of us. So our usual team of 15 people was cut to nine. I wasn't there because the drive was too long. I'm not comfortable driving that far late at night. The girl, the 19 female, was in fire.

Yeah. I would have been crazy if she was. Like she didn't do anything wrong. I'm going to boot your nose. She wasn't fired but she did have to leave early. But that's not a bad thing because that means she didn't have to clean up after the wedding and she still got paid. Nice. Here's a keynote. Jewelry is allowed at our job. It just has to be simple, which is what she had on. Simple jewelry and her engagement ring which so fear called ring ring ring. She called it ring ring pick up me. It's me. I called that. So via you call it. Absolutely crazy to tell someone to take off their engagement ring. And there's a little key factor about engagement rings. They're usually on the ring finger. I guarantee you. If you said nobody else can wear a ring that day. It's only me. Yeah. It's me. I'm the only one. This cometer says she was actually 18 and in high school. Wow. You let a high school girl get to you. She can bartend supervised since she is 18. Makeup is allowed. It just can't be crazy makeup. So eyeliner, specifically winged eyeliner, which is what she had on. Is in fact allowed.

We buy our own uniforms and are reimbursed for the cost. She accidentally shrunk her pants and hadn't gone the chance to get new ones. OP. No matter what you're you're never going to get me on your side. You suck. No. Now if this girl was jumping on tables, you know, tarps off going. Woo. Then yeah, that's bad. If she came in with like a full face of like golf makeup, sure. I'll give you that. She came in with winged eyeliner, a nose piercing and her engagement ring. If this girl was a part of ICP, we'd love it. You know what ICP is? Instant phone policy. Yeah. Yeah. If she looked like that, I'd be like sick. We read a story about that actually. Yeah, there are those people. They know how to have fun. I like sick. Cool. You taste the music. Interesting. But cool. Yeah, having everyone else dressed down for your day is insane. You sound very insecure and self centered. So good luck with that.

This is how OP was seeing. Truly. It's like this. Truly. It's this. We have a little bit left. Let's go ahead and finish up the story. This is still the same commenter that worked on the catering team saying, my coworkers and I are still laughing at this. OP seemingly left out the fact that one of the fathers kept flirting with the staff. Some of the guests got crap faced and tried to steal from the bar. OP's wedding planner walked into the kitchen at one point and almost broke down crying. And the groom and the groomsman got way to up in the air and left half smoked, half smoked things all over the place. Comments. Crystal Queen 3000 says, Is your coworker the server? A guest? That would be piping hot tea. The catering OP says, yep, my coworker is the server. I just wasn't managing that event. If I was, I would have raised heck. And that's the end of that story. Dang, man. I love getting both sides. So we got one side of it. Yeah, original OP is a bridezilla and crazy.

And the wedding was a wedding. Wow. Yeah, OP is insufferable. So the king says true. That's the end of that story and we have another one coming right up. Hey, it's Angie. I've got huge news. The new Burger King chicken nuggets just dropped and they are the crispiest, the juiciest and the tastiest chicken nuggets ever at Burger King. Burger King heard that a lot of you didn't like the old chicken nuggets, so they got to work and reinvented them. To go along with the new chicken nuggets, a lot of the sauces were reinvented too because better chicken nuggets deserve better sauces. We're talking new buffalo sauce, honey mustard, sweet and sour, and even a whole new option too, the new special savory sauce, which is only available for a limited time at participating US restaurants. I mean, you need to go taste it all for yourself. This new chicken nugget reinvented based on real feedback is made with 100% white meat chicken

and is now better than ever. You've got to try the new Burger King chicken nuggets and sauces today. My wife, Betney, I couldn't pass her test, so I proved her wrong. Did you have to study for it? Okay, so some context, as I know it, might come across strange initially. I love my male 24 wife, female 22, and I think very highly of her, as I'm sure this goes without saying, and respect her immensely, including, of course, the fact that she's studying medicine and becoming a doctor. I also firmly believe that I personally cannot even come close to doing what she does. I, for better or worse, put her on a pedestal, but I do believe her relationship is healthy regardless. There have been many times when she's expressed her own doubts and insecurities regardless of her degree, and whether she would even pass and I without fail, would insist that she will always pass with flying colors. Is that faith misplaced? In my honest opinion, absolutely not. More often not, she proves me right. She's great at what she does,

even if she doesn't always think so. With that being said, here's what happened last night. Oh, he's like, I love her. She's so good. I may have said something stupid. Whoopsie, Daisy. The lead-up. Many of her tests throughout her degree are multiple choice, and I have occasionally joked that theoretically someone could pass one by simply guessing. I'm well aware of the hard work and effort put into becoming a doctor, and I know the degrees and solely comprised of multiple choice. The joke has always been about that one aspect of testing methodology, not crapping on her area of study. And otherwise, I always sing our praises. By the way, this comes from flippie dino, and if you want to spend your own stories, go to the Ursula Showcase Storytime subreddit. I'm Sophia. I'm Keon. And we're here to give good advice, goofly, but we don't have all the answers. We only know what we'd do. So let us know what you would do in the comments. And OP says, then last night while the mood was still laced with levity, she joked that I should actually try and take one of the tests. We were both laughing throughout, joking about the absurd possibility

that I might pass, though she insisted with absolute certainty that I would get none right. Mm. If you guessed, there's no way that you would get none right. I mean, it's a chance. There's a chance, but her like, it's almost impossible. No, it is, it's like the chance of getting none right on a multiple choice test, depending on how many questions are, are so close to zero. It's not, yeah, it's again, even if it's just stinky. That's what I said. See, I told you, I'm not crazy. Down. Down. Yeah, you have a one in 25 chance of getting, as long as it's just four questions, you have a one in 25 chance of getting it right. Oh, it's four questions. I don't know, but usually that's like the simplest thing. I mean, like four, four multiple choice answers. Yeah, like one in four, yeah, you have a one in four getting it correct. Yeah, yeah. She decided to bet that I wouldn't even get six out of 10 on a mock test just to prove how absurd this all was. Okay. So we have 10 questions.

It is possible, I guess, that you could get none right on a 10 question test, but it's also possible that you could get at least half rank. What did you guys bet? What am I going to bet? Yeah, what did they bet? I want to know what they, it was just like, oh, you don't know it. Oh, well, but you know, if I lost, she'd make me shave off my hair. I've had long hair for 11 years. What kind of bet is this? Hold on. What kind of bet is this? Wait, you have to get six out of 10. I don't want to test that you can't, on a mock test that you can't study for because you don't know in her degree. Wait, that's so crazy. That's insane. I thought it was just going to be like, if you could, if you got none right, but like six out of 10? To shave my head, if I especially if I have long hair. But even going for 11 years. Okay. If I won, we go go carting the next day. What? That's not even apples to oranges. Wait, why is she like, she really doesn't like your hair. Or she just want to prove, she wants to prove it. That's, that's so like yours is fun for both of you.

And hers is just like punishment, punishment of something that you love. OP continues. I got seven out of 10. Go cart. I won the bet. To be clear, the bet from IPOB was equivalent to whether I'd roll a dice and get a six multiple times in a row. It had nothing to do with skill or knowledge. Throughout the test, we were both mocking me for clearly not even being able to pronounce what I was reading. It was pure luck. And because of how certain she'd been that I wouldn't get a single one right, after I passed, I gloated a lot in a very joky manner that she was aware of. And by no means implying, I actually know everything. Then everything changed. She told me, which she acknowledged, she should have done earlier, that she hadn't communicated her feelings until it reached a breaking point. And now she was immensely upset ending with her in tears. She was very much taken aback. And while I did try to apologize, I was struggling to understand why she got upset so quickly. She insisted that what I did invalidates her entire degree.

Negates all the effort she put in and above all is inherently crappy thing to do. She bet you. Yeah, she bet you. She put your hair on the line. I don't know. This is stepping for something else. Well, I think this is stemming from when you know when you took a test and call, like you took a test or a high school or something and you studied so hard for this test. And then you're, you know, you take the test and you're like, oh my goodness, that was so hard. I feel like I failed. And then you go talk to the person next to you in that class. And they're like, I didn't study at all. And that was easy. That was me. Yeah. I was that guy. I didn't. I was like, I already know it. I don't need to study. And people would be like, how do you do that? I'm like, I don't know. But I wouldn't. That was annoying. But I was never like, oh, I did better than you. Just like, sorry, that's just. Sorry, I'm just better than you in every way. Sorry. She on's just better than you. Yeah, I'm Filipino. She emphasized that I know absolutely nothing about what I was answering and that I know

far less about the human body than I probably should. Evidently, she was very hurt. Her thought I seemingly made a mockery of her entire degree and livelihood. You didn't though. You literally just said like, ha, I guess. And you proved your point. You get to go go karting. Fun. What confuses me though is that she was very much laughing alongside me and got up herself to grab her computer and hand me the tests in the first place in her own words to prove me wrong because it was very silly to her as well. She never expressed how much it bothered her during the test. If she always felt that way, why go along with the joke because she wanted to prove that she was right. She was so sure that she was right and then when she was wrong, it upended her entire personality or like life. So the lawyer princess says it really funny. Lawyer Princess says again, just proof opi listens when she talks. She probably talks about it all the time. And do you just like, yeah? True. Well, it seems like he literally just guessed, but maybe. Why be the one to set it up?

I assumed and I'm sure this was wrong of me that she was upset I'd passed unexpectedly. It was coming across as a sore loser. She ended up going to the bedroom and tears and although I tried to comfort her at first, she told me she needed 10 minutes to herself and felt very betrayed. I was very worried and gave her those 10 minutes. When I returned, we discussed it and she said something that maybe changed my perspective. She said she was also upset because she would have gotten a lower mark than me. That was when I began to believe what had started as a joke about probability had suddenly become about her insecurities regarding her degree. Because if someone that knows zero can get a higher mark than her, what does that say about her? I quickly reminded her that she's the smartest person I've ever met and I mean that. And that it means nothing that I passed. It doesn't say anything about her or her degree. Medicine isn't easy. Yeah. And as she pointed out, after all these years, it's deeply tied to her identity and sacrifice. And now it seemed as if what she's dedicated her life to has been reduced to random chance.

She both reminded each other that multiple choice questions aren't what medicine is all about. But she said that wasn't even the crux of why she was upset. She's upset because the entire concept of taking the test and joking about passing by pure luck is crappy. And that's why she feels betrayed. The average person would agree with her. And she's glad none of her friends saw it because they would hate me for even bringing it up. And I'm confused because it was her idea. Thank you. Yeah. She brought her a computer. I thought it was all jokes. I think the reason she reacted so strongly isn't because what I did was inherently crappy. But because when it was too late, it triggered an insecurity. I probably should have been more mindful of. But I don't know if that automatically makes me an a-hole. It doesn't. It doesn't at all. She's making you a villain because she put you to the test and you passed. And you passed the test. Intent matters and context matters too. She participated. She joked along. And she insisted I'd fail completely. I think she just wanted to see you fail.

She did. She did. She thought he would. She wanted him to. Which is not okay. Yeah. She wanted you to shave your head. I just think- You see those videos where the couples grab something of the other partners value. And it's like men always grab the makeup kits and girls grab game console, phone, whatever. It just like baffles me. What are we doing? What do you mean? It's like, you don't need a hammer. And like who's going to stop? Like who's going to stop? Don't stop! Stop! Oh, terrible. It's like a new thing, and it pisses me off. Oh, why are you doing this? Why do you have to test your relationship on that? I just think the outcome hit harder than either of us expected. When I said that, maybe it would have been better if I'd lost. She said she wishes I had. See. I think I do too. That she needs to work on that. That's not... Ooh. That's not on you. Sims, again, she's probably like, if you lose, you shaved your head and you're like, if I win, we go goat-carding. Yeah, it's just weird.

I really don't like this. It, yeah. I think you both need to sit down and genuinely talk about this. Because this is unhealthy. Because if this is, if this is how she, this is her personality, this is her character trait, she's gonna take this for the rest of her life, not even her degree, but like her not succeeding over you. Yeah. Well, anything, it could be cooking, it could be whatever if she is not superior to you. She's a sore loser. Yeah, she's a sore loser. She's not superior to you. And I guarantee you, if you lost, she'd be in your face about it all the rest of your life. Well, she'd make you shave your head. She'd make you shave your head. She'd, what's up, Baldi? She'd be like, oh, sore loser, like you're a loser. Ha ha. She'd, she sounds like the type of person like that. I really don't like it. She worked through this. She should start working on it. Get Iowa talk. I wouldn't, don't let this just slide under the rug. Truly, truly. Some more context as we've discussed over the years. She's incredibly hard on herself

and does have a bit of a superiority complex. Oh, really? Yeah, I did see that. I did see that. Yup. Though I'm not saying my ego is far off and someone commented that maybe that's also why she brought up the test in the first place. So am I the A-O? Is she overreacting? She isn't sure either if it's just her insecurities or her bruised ego. Probably both. Probably both. Or maybe it was just a crappy thing for me to joke about in the first place. No. No, you were talking about probability. Yes, you were joking about it. You're like, yeah, it could be like, there is a chance. Yeah, which is true. But that's the end of that story, folks. I agreed to store one bed for a friend and came home to a horror show. Ooh, are there clowns and spiders? I get on all right with my brother and his friend hadn't shown any hint of being an idiot over the last 15 years. So I went along with this.

I'll call my brother's friend Doug. My brother phoned me a while back and asked if I could do a favorite for Doug and he put Doug on and Doug told me, he's got a move back in with his parents because he lacks work, like all of us. And needs a place to store a couple of war droves full of clothes and a bed for about six months until things open up again. Ah, this is during the vid. My brother told Doug I had a spare room with not much in it, which is true. And I was happy to help. So I said, sure, bring it over. The spare room is more than big enough for a couple of war droves and a bed. Through miscommunications and a shift change at work, I couldn't be there when Doug moved out of his old place and put his stuff in the spare room. So I dropped my spare key to my brother and he supervised Doug. On Friday afternoon, I came back to a house packed full of what looks like every possession Doug has ever owned, packed into every room of my house and almost all of it is urine stained

and covered in mouth droppings. What? Ah. Ah. That's gross. By the way, this comes from stinky furniture. And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the R-Slay Show Case Story time subreddit. I'm Dakota. Ah, I'm Savannah. And we are here to give all good advice, gooflayin, but we don't know all the answers to everything. So there's some holes, but you can fill those holes up. A couple of war droves full of clothes and a bed is turned into two war droves full of mouth droppings, clothes and boxes, a dozen garbage bags of more clothes, six chairs and a kitchen table, a bedside table, a dozen boxes of books, two bookcases, boxes of kitchen implements, half a dozen wall hangings and paintings, a house door covered in stickers, a credenza, a single bed and a double bed, both of them, reek of urine and bloke, four small chests of drawers, three kitchen cupboards, a pair of card tables and two refrigerators with food in the freezer and plugged into my power

and more bags of bed clothes, electronics, just about everything to fill a regular small house. What do we bid folks? It's the price is right. That was Bob Barker talking. We're Drew Carey. That is crazy. I'm genuinely immediately calling Doug, and then I'm saying Doug, you have until five hours from now to get all of this stuff out of my house or I'm calling the police and having it removed. That's like get a storage unit. I don't understand. I know he doesn't have money. He's like down on his like whatever, but asking if he could just store a bed and a wardrobe and then bringing your entire, like a door with just, not straight up, call three kitchen cupboards, a fridge. All of his youngster possessions. I'm calling Doug and I'm, you know what, am I even calling the police?

I'm calling Doug and I'm saying, you get over here and you take out all the stuff that you did not agree. You take out everything that I didn't agree to have here or I'm throwing it out onto the street. See, Facebook, marketplace, but we have enough frenzy over this stuff. Yeah. Ah yeah, yeah. Everything in the house stinks and I can't do this. I don't mean it just has a scent to it. It stinks badly. I can taste the stink in my mouth, even when I'm out of the house. Stinking my mouth with the heater on. Now it's winter, it's nauseating. I phone Doug and told him he has to come and get all this out and he can't. He's already 600 kilometers away on his parents' property and has no money left. I told him I'm going to dump the lot of it if he doesn't come and get it and he told me I'd made a binding verbal agreement with him and if I damaged anything of his, he'd come down on me like a ton of bricks with legal action, yet with what money?

Dufus. 10 minutes after getting off the phone with him his dad found and made more threats the same. I can't reach any of the shelving in my spare room. I can't use half my couch or my art desk. I can only just reach my own clothing in my bedroom drawers and I can only use one chair in my kitchen. I've contacted my brother in a stupid, shrugging noise and said he thought that's what I agreed on. What am I legally allowed to do with all this? I agreed to a couple of wardrobes in a bed. I did not agree to a house full of stuff. I want to at least get the worst of it out of the house immediately, but it's been raining and we have a week more rain forecast. I can't afford to put it in storage. I'm slowly draining my savings the last few months as work has been cut back due to the vid. I don't have a garage or a shed. I have no undercover place to put any of this. Best I could do was borrow a tarp and wrap up the worst wardrobes and cling wrap the beds. That's only a minor help as it all smells bad. I did a house plan drawing, sorry it's rubbish. On the left is my normal house, TV is the lounge,

S is spare bedroom, D is desk, room is B, okay, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. There are some comments. Yeah, first comment from B30K says, before you do anything, make sure to take pictures. Opie says doing it right now. Let's see Cupcake says not a lawyer, but I'd wager that anyone with as much disgusting crap probably doesn't have the money or funds to sue. I'd just dump it if I was you. Opie says, good point. I'm sitting here in this guy's filth in one of the few places I still can. And I'm tempted to do that right now. I have a couple of mates who already offered to help. Yeah, like honestly, I wouldn't even hesitate. I would take pictures and say, this is all trash that was left here by someone. Keep only the exact thing that you agreed to keep. And everything else gets thrown out. Let's see Cupcake says, I mean, does the guy seem like he's got the ability to back up his claims? Opie says the more I think about it, the more I'd say no, his parents do own a large property way north of here. They'd be the ones who could afford it. And there's an edit. Yeah, I think last ditch effort, you say,

you call those parents and be like, you guys either pay to have this stuff stored or I'm throwing it out because it's not mine. It's trash, it smells, it stinks. It's horrific. And you can't sue me for this because it was never agreed upon. Your son left his trash in my house. And I feel like, is it written in a text where he asked you for all of this stuff specifically? He only asked, he said, oh, war drove in a bed. Like that's what he said. And that's why you're like, okay, if any sane person would have said no to this if they knew that it was your entire living space in their living space when you're not even living there. Yeah, it's really sucks that you were just trying to do a solid in this guy's totally screwed, you are. Completely. There's an edit, okay, this has gone beyond legal advice and beyond a joke, I think. Well, it was never a joke. I just went around taking photos and Doug has a dried up used cat litter tray in the bottom of his wardrobe underneath clothing.

The bags of clothing have mouse nests in them and there are cockroaches. I have phone friends. We're dumping it on the front lawn tonight. It is 10.30 pm here. And I'm texting Doug's parents with the photos and if they want any of it, they'll come get it. I'll deal with the consequences of that later. My sanity and sanitation is worth more. And there is an update three days later. Let's get into it. It's all solved. On Monday morning, I sent photos of everything disgusting I could and of Doug's furniture on the lawn to Doug and his dad telling them it's beyond foul and I wouldn't be keeping any of it inside my house and I'll dump it this week if they don't come get it. 20 minutes later, I got a call from Doug's mother. She asked if it was so bad could I send her some evidence like photos? I told her I'd already sent them to her son and his dad. She yelled out in the background to one of them. She said she did send photos, then got off the phone. Half an hour later, she called me back and said they'd be down to pick up Doug's stuff and apologize. She asked if his books were okay.

Apart from the mouse, annoying and the droppings, yeah. I'm not a barbarian. They were outside but under the eaves. This morning they turned up from 600 kilometers away. Doug and his dad wanted to begin packing in their pantak but Doug's mom wasn't having any of that. They dumped 90% of it at the dump and came back and took just a few things home. Even the food and the freezers was off. His mom apologized and offered to make good with cash but she'd already solved enough and I declined. Oh, I would have taken that cash money so fast. No, I feel so bad taking money. I'd be like, no, it's fine. Just I don't want any, because I feel like that's just another connection. Maybe they could we page you. Yeah, you paid me because you left your mouse roach infested crap in my house. Give me $100. Give me $5 million. Yeah, call it even. And you lugged all that stuff out of your house? Pay me. Oh, I would have taken that money. She left it open and it didn't set if I needed anything fixed to call her. How much money do you think that was worth?

In all of his crappy stuff? No, Mike, how much should he deserve to be paid? Like OP? Yeah. I mean, he lived with it for like a couple days, right? It wasn't like. Yeah, it was bad. It was bad. I mean, yeah, I was disgusting. I would at least offer like $300. That's gonna be $500. He's $500, that's disgusting. I know I didn't follow legal advice, but this was the equivalent of someone asking you to hold on to a small keychain sized box for half a year, but instead they sneakily cover you in 50 kilograms of feces. You're not allowed to wash off until you get a lawyer and fill out all the right paperwork and wait a month. I just couldn't do it. I got lucky. I've had words with my brother and changed the locks on my place too. He'd opened up and let Doug and Doug's mates in then left the key behind with him. He doesn't know how bad it was either. My brother is an idiot and Doug is a 32 year old baby. And hopefully I'm a little wiser. And that is the end of that story.

My best friend demanded a princess treatment for her wedding and expected me to pay. I'm pretty sure that's how that works. So I may have just witnessed my best friend's first bride Zilla moment, but I don't know if maybe I'm the one in the wrong here. You tell me if this is as irrational of an expectation as I think it is or if I'm just an idiot. So my best friend is having a destination wedding in April at a very expensive hotel in South Beach, Florida. Very shiny, pricey wedding. I'm a bride's maid. She had originally told me that they were going to be taking a look at how the vid is closer to the wedding and would decide if they were going to cancel or reschedule then, which sounds fair. Everything has been pretty considerate up until today. The dresses and shoes were moderately priced. We could wear our own jewelry, et cetera. Then today, whoo, today. She today, she texted me asking if I had booked the hotel for the wedding yet. I responded no as I was waiting to hear

the final call on whether or not the wedding was happening. Secretly really hoping it wasn't happening as realistically, it probably won't be safe to have a 150 person wedding by then and I feel immensely pressured to go and not back out as she has been my best friends since I was like eight. Anyways, she said they were going forward with the wedding regardless of the vid. She told me that I need to book a room at their hotel under their name, block, because not enough people have been booked and sent me the link. By the way, this comes from accident number one. If you want to submit your own stories, go to the R-Slasch okay story time subreddit. I'm Savannah. I'm Dakota. And we're here to give some good advice. Maybe we'll make you laugh. Maybe not. I don't know. But we're going to tell you what we're going to do. And you should tell us what you're going to do down in the comments. And as Hopi says, now we had not discussed the hotel prior. I was prepared to pay for my own flight and hotel to go to the wedding until I saw the price. The cheapest room option is $649 per night. That's insane.

That is way too much money. Yeah. This is unholy. I had no idea the hotel would cost that much as we hadn't discussed accommodations before. So I texted her and profusely apologized, but I couldn't afford to stay at that hotel. I found a hotel literally one block away for $180 per night. So I asked if that was okay that I stay there. It was so close that I'd still be able to do everything with them and not miss anything. She was not having it. She told me absolutely not. I'm in the bridal party and had to stay at the hotel she picked. I asked if there was any bridesmaids that would be willing to group up and share a room. She said, no, everybody needs their own room. So they use all of the blocked rooms. Apparently nobody is booking there. Gee, I wonder why. I apologized again and said I just couldn't afford it, especially with the flights. She told me I was being a bad friend and that I should have never agreed to be a bridesmaid if I wasn't willing to sacrifice for her special day. Oh, I'm not gonna sacrifice my rent. Yeah. I'm not gonna sacrifice my financial security

just so that I can be in the same hotel floor as you. Yeah, and also like, is this, it's just for one night or like, would you get there the day before and then, you know, whatever. Like, I don't know how many nights you're gonna stay, but it's the fact that it's probably gonna cost, you know, I don't even know where they live. The flight might be like $500. And now also another 650 for your room. And then plus, you know, whatever you get for the wedding and, you know, transportation, food, whatever. Something goes wrong. You forget something. You have to go buy it. Like, there are so many, you know, this seems like it's gonna be way over like $1,000 spent for, you know, a special day. Like, oh yeah, as long as, you know, you have a great day. That's all that matters. Also, I can't afford to pay rent now. So extra crazy too that this was not discussed at all with the bridesmaids. Yeah. And none of them know what else. You have to discuss this stuff.

I had already sacrificed first my plan vacation in three years for this wedding, as I don't have a lot of discretionary money. I couldn't afford to do both. And also when I agreed, she didn't have a venue picked out. And once she picked it, I didn't know it was absolutely mandatory that I stay at that specific hotel or the wrath of God was going to come down on me. I honestly don't even know what to say to her at this point. Was I idiot for not backing out when I saw that their wedding was at an expensive hotel? Or is it crazy to expect everyone to stay at a hotel that costs $649 per night without checking with them first? And there isn't edit. I would say, you're not crazy. Like, she's asking a lot from you guys. And then also not being transparent about how much it's going to cost. That's not cool and that's not a friend. You're not a bad friend for not being able to spend like splurge on her wedding. Like, this is like backwards thinking. So yeah, no, oh, yeah, I don't think you're in your wrong.

I don't think you're in the wrong. I don't think you're crazy. I think the bride or your so-called friend is being very irrational and not accommodating for everyone. Like, you want people to come to your wedding. You have to be accommodating people. Sorry, it's not everyone. Drop everything you do for me. No, accommodate for people. That's what you do. If you want people to come, ask with days that are good for them. Give them prices, plan things. Don't just push it on someone else and then be like, what? Why didn't that work? I wonder why. Edit. Thanks everybody for the assurance that this is an insane demand. I thought I might have been in the wrong because I didn't back out when I found out about the venue. Yes, I knew the venue was expensive and they are paying a pretty penny for it. I just didn't think I had to stay there because I was never told I had to. Maybe my wedding ignorance made me a knucklehead, but nevertheless, I'm carefully crafting my response to her may update later. And there's an update.

Gonna get right into it. So here is the update to my previous post about my friend being upset that I couldn't stay in the extravagant hotel that she was holding her wedding mat. For those who did not see the first update before, text message argument ensued and I was removed from the bridal party. However, about three weeks later, my friend came to me with an apology and invited me back into the wedding and said I could share a room with one of the other bridesmaids, aka another bridesmaid who refused, who also refused to stay at the hotel and dropping two bridesmaids would make the numbers very uneven. I decided to brush off our previous conversation to wedding stress, as she has been a good friend for a long time. My friend, the bride, and her husband got married last Saturday in South Beach, Miami. The guest list was originally 150, but ended up only being about 25. Yeah, cause it's during the pandemic. Yeah, this is someone who just had every sign in the universe telling them, you should reschedule this. You should do this a different time and they said,

no, I will do it now, it's what I want now. Anyways, overall, the wedding was beautiful and very well put together, but there were definitely some eye roll moments and ridiculousness that went down afterwards. Turns out, I should have just bailed when I was given the out. Unlike before though, it wasn't just me taking the brunt of her. Here are the highlights. This isn't that egregious, but the number of events that happened over the course of five days was insane. This isn't a cultural thing, by the way. I arrived only in time for the rehearsal dinner on Friday, which apparently wasn't an issue, but the festivities actually started on Wednesday. There was a family and friends luncheon, aka everybody who showed up to the wedding followed by a welcome dinner on Wednesday, followed by the wedding party luncheon and welcome dinner on Thursday. And then a combined rehearsal luncheon on Friday followed by the actual rehearsal dinner on Friday night. I heard from other people in the bridal party

that these events were all over Miami proper and nobody had cars, so basically everybody was paying to Uber all over the place. Not to mention the couple was nearly one and a half hour late to every single event. Side note, apparently they had a toast and speech hour at one of them, but nobody but the mother of the bride gave a speech. Yikes. Bride wanted an impromptu bachelor at party the night before the wedding. She was unable to have one before because of the bid, but apparently she was expecting us bridesmaids to have one plan for her once we got to South Beach. Whoops, not mine readers. Wow, this person is a bridezilla. Yeah. It's like all of the miscommunication and like everything of just like the expectations but not actually voicing that or just being like, oh, you should've known. Excuse me. You guys were supposed to plan me a surprise bachelor at party.

Did no one tell you? Yeah, no one told us. Also, yeah, you guys have to stay at the same hotel, but I'm not going to tell you that it costs $650 in night until we're making the reservations. And then that's on you for being a bad friend. Yeah. Like what? This person, people, we read stories all the time. It's like people lose lifelong friendships over the way that they act during their wedding. Yeah. And it's crazy. A made of honor caught wind of this and tried to rally us to go down to Ocean Drive and Barhop. Nobody was down. Yes, we're all vaccinated, but none of us were willing to go down there with the spring break crowds. We agreed to hang out by the pool after the rehearsal dinner instead. Made of honor told her about the plan and she threw up fit. She wanted no part of our plan and ended up just going back to her penthouse and pouted more on this later. Ah, yes. Tell me someone has been spoiled their whole life without telling me.

The day of the wedding was great or so I thought it was. The day started very early around 7.30 AM for a 5 PM wedding, but whatever. We went all day and her suite getting ready, taking pictures, et cetera. There was definitely some restlessness in the room as it was a long day, but everyone was trying to put on a happy face to make up for the night before. Ceremony and reception went smoothly side note. There was no way that reception space could fit 150 people. It barely fit 25. But at brunch the next morning, I started hearing talk that my friend was not happy with us bridesmaids and she barely even looked at me when I said goodbye. Wednesday morning, I woke up to a novel she had written to all of the bridal party. Last time I tried to post screenshots as an update, it got declined, so I will just give you the gist of the email. She was apparently devastated that the most important ladies in her life didn't give a crap about her or her wedding. Maybe somebody should have had their wedding when there wasn't a virus taking over the entire world and making everything weird and difficult.

Maybe you could have put that off a little bit. Maybe you could have, I don't know, helped your friends plan your own wedding, which is what you should be doing. Or at least communicating what you want. Like just being like, hey, I know it's kind of your job to plan the bachelor ad and all this stuff. I just want you to say I wanted this themed. I would like it here. And as long as these three items are there, we can go wherever you want. Or at least just something. At least the understanding that we're having one instead of just being like, they need to surprise me. Yeah, I hope that they know that there's a surprise, they're supposed to be planning for me. Surprise, we didn't freaking know, huh? We didn't plan anything special for her. She was all alone on the eve of her wedding. We weren't attentive enough to her while getting ready. The example she used was that there was one time. She said she was hungry and nobody ran to grab her food. Hmm. We ordered room service for everyone instead.

We didn't attend all of the pre-wedding events and my family definitely directed at me. We didn't guard her from onlookers on the beach when we were doing first looks and taking the wedding party photos. We didn't offer to host an after party after the reception for her is that even a thing. And after party after the reception. That's the reception is the after party. I mean, you can like keep it going if you want but usually those things go for like tilt on. Bro, your friend sucks. Yeah. Your friend sucks. And some other dumb things. The entire email wreaked of entitlement and self-centeredness with some petty complaints mixed in. She has never been like this pre-wedding so I don't know where this attitude is coming from. I didn't respond and don't plan on it. Just going to fade into the distance of this friendship unless she wants to make a sequel and write an apology novel. Thanking her friends for taking multiple days off work bending to her every whim and spending thousands of jolars just to be there for her. Hell no, no, you send that back.

You send what you just wrote back to the group text. You say this is unbelievable. Your behavior and entitlement is disgusting. I don't even feel like I know who you are. So if this is who you are, I don't want anything to do with you. That's what you say back. I mean, yeah, you could. Or I mean, I would take your Rado P of just fading into the background. I'd be like, you know that I can't possibly waste another ounce of energy on you. I have to just completely remove myself because nothing that I do is going to please you. So I'm just going to remove myself. Therefore, you're happy. I'm happy. Let's move on. That's crazy. Yeah, you say stuff like that to me. I dropped thousands of dollars to be in your wedding. You are not getting me. I will not go quietly into that good night. I will let you know, yeah, this is over unless you wake up from whatever nightmare you're currently embodying and go back to normal.

Yeah, yeah, I was, I was, I was mixing yikes and yowza. I saw yikes. Yikes. Yikes. Yikes. Yikes. But that's the end of that story. And we got another one coming right up. The new Burger King chicken nuggets just dropped and they are the crispiest, the juiciest, and the tastiest chicken nuggets ever at Burger King. Burger King heard that a lot of you didn't like the old chicken nuggets. So they got to work and reinvented them.

This new chicken nugget reinvented based on real feedback is made with 100% white meat chicken and is now better than ever. You gotta try the new Burger King chicken nuggets and sauces today. I let my friend crash after his breakup and he threw a wild party behind my back. Hey, where's my invite? My male 28 friend, male 27. Recently broke up with his partner, female 27. Let's call him Tim, made up name. Since he didn't wanna stay in their shared apartment after the breakup, he asked me if he could stay at my place for a while until they settled their affairs.

I agreed and he's been using my guest room for three weeks now. We decided that he doesn't have to pay me rent but he'll take over the grocery shopping. I cook every evening for both of us but he takes on the grocery shopping and the costs. All of that was fine with me until this weekend. Another friend of mine invited me to his birthday. He lived six hours away so I told Tim I'll be gone from Friday to Sunday because I'll be sleeping over at my other friend's place. No issue. I came back home yesterday, Sunday evening to a place full of trash. Tim had a party. And by the way, this comes from user J's dream. If you wanna submit your own stories, go to the R-slash okay story time subreddit. I'm Dakota. And I'm Savannah. And we're here to give good of ass goofilyam but we don't have all the answers. We only know what we know. So help us. Tell us what you would do in the comments. I didn't mind, per se, but my entire apartment was full of empty bottles, empty food packages and general trash. He didn't bother to clean up

and didn't ask me if it was okay to have a party. I can also tell someone slept in my bed or at least late in it since I tend to keep it made and clean but when I came home the sheets, covers and blankets were in disarray. I'm thinking of getting him out of the house for that breach of trust. I work night shifts and he works during the day so I haven't had time to confront him yet but I feel uncomfortable about the whole Lordeal. Yet I feel like sending him back to his ex is a weener move as well. There is an update. So my friend came home from work and I sat him down to talk. I'm not a confrontational person so it was difficult to find the right words but I think I managed it somehow. I told him I was disappointed with how he acted while I was away and that coming back to my place full of trash and my bedroom in disarray. And my bedroom in disarray was an absolute no-go for me. He apologized and told me he overestimated his limits on how much boozy he could handle so he didn't manage to get up on time to clean before I came home. He also explained that nobody actually slept

in my bed overnight but that he used it to lie down for a minute when he got migraines that evening before. In the end I said that while I understand where he's coming from, that behavior isn't something I tolerated before and I won't start now. We agreed he can stay until the end of the week so he has time to look for other accommodations. For anyone wondering, yes, he's already looking for a new place to live and I've helped him look for apartments in the last weeks but our city is a nightmare when it comes to trying to rent a place without going bankrupt. He also doesn't own a car so public transport has to be available which makes it even more annoying. I'm sure many of you can relate. Since he apologized and I've known him for so long I decided not to make it a bigger deal than it needs to be. He's in a difficult situation and dropping a long term friend over one mistake is not my style. No, I think this you put the situation exactly where it needs to be. I think you've perfectly reacted. You've got until the end of the week to find another spot, bro. You can't stay here after you did that. Yeah, he broke a trust. Now you can't trust him.

Now it's like, dude, what? Yeah, so it's like, yeah, we can still be friends but you can't stay here. We're both adults and I trust him to learn from this experience. Thanks to everyone for commenting and giving me the courage to actually speak up. I know I tend to avoid difficult conversations so the comments on my original post really helped. Update number two, what could there possibly be? Maybe he doesn't leave. Ooh, I think friend doesn't want to go. Then he's like, I still haven't found anything. What do I do? And it's like, I don't know, but not my problem. He's gonna go, oh wait, you were serious? Oh no, update two. It's a short one, but my previous update post is almost two weeks old. Contrary to some comments, beliefs, my friend did move out. He gave me back my spare key and went to crash in another friend's place for a few days. We've all helped him look for a new apartment and a found one he intends to take. He's signing the lease on Tuesday. Since his stuff is all over the place,

we're all helping him move. His ex is at least polite enough to let some of us into the apartment to get the rest of his things. He took his name off the lease on Friday and while his ex was whining the entire time, she accepted it well enough. Knowing her financial situation, she's probably looking for new apartments as well since their old one is too expensive for one person to pay. Okay, good, this is good friend. Good friend, bad friend, but bad friend, good friend. And sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles. And all of that evens out and it just turns into friend. My friend and I are getting along well, just like before this mess. He's been making an effort lately and actually paid me for the time I took him in. I didn't ask for money, but he came to me and gave me 300 bucks for rent and utilities. Also, for the few who asked, no, I didn't change my locks or get new keys. He gave me back my spare key and it's been fine. I'm confident that I know him enough to know he wouldn't have given the key to anyone else or made replicas.

I appreciate the worry, but for now it's not something I even consider as a possibility. I'm not sure if this is enough to be called an update, but I thought some folks might still appreciate it nonetheless. And to clarify, his girlfriend, she done him twice. Oh, now I feel bad. Now I feel bad for saying your girlfriend left because she threw house parties in your friends' house without asking, now I feel bad. At least that's what she admitted to. So the blame for this whole chaos isn't even solely on him. And that is the end of that story. Okay, picture this. This before kickoff, you're relaxed. You got food, you're talking to your friends.
