You got to do all these things by the time you get back to your home Friday.

4:07After adulting, you just need some time to regroup. The weekend starts Saturday. Okay. So a four day weekend would include us having Friday off, but for the most of us, we do not a lot of us. We have Monday off though, which is the Labor Day, the Labor Day holiday. So I don't know how you guys will be spending your holiday. Make sure you're letting me know the tagging me in all of the photos, whether it's the family, barbecue, the spades game, the album with your homegirls where your order appetizes like drug dealers or whatever the case may be. Let me know get in the streets, get in the tweets. And the reason why I say let me know is because I think that we should make a conscious effort to take breaks. Now you guys know along the journey, I am learning when breaks are okay and when they are not okay, I think they're always okay, but basically like when it's time to break and when it's time to not this weekend, I'm looking forward to I mean, I still be working. I still be around. Y'all know me. I'm not going to be the guy. I don't stop, but I am going to take a bit of a reprieve some.

5:07So I'll be doing a little staycation upstate New York for some time and then spending the rest of the weekend with the family. So I am excited. I'm looking forward to that. And I think anytime I do things like this, you guys can like hear the difference and see the difference in me. I know I can hear and see it in myself. I think Nini Leaks appeared in the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. This is 20 years of Real Housewives.

11:16The franchise, Real Housewives has been on television for 20 years. We talked about this in the previous episode of the latest with Lauren the Rosa that Nini Leaks was returning to Bravo via Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Now, this has been such a thing. The first several reasons, I mean, Nini Leaks, we know, is the mother of, of, of, of, of, of, of housewives. I was gonna say of, I was gonna say is the mother of Real Housewives of Atlanta, but it's not just that. Like when the franchise was very, very, very, very new and I don't remember it in, in its inception. I forget what year I started watching the housewives. I do know when I started watching, Portia was still with Cordell, so it was pretty early on that probably, that was, that was in the, some of the opening, you know, few seasons, but that already been seasons prior to that. But Nini, man, and her, her line, her one-liners, her come, come back, her life, you know,

12:21getting to watch her marriage with Greg, Guy Rested Soul, was so iconic for the franchise and what she did and how she literally carried the show on his back. And the reason why I think, you know, I know I, listen, I got very emotional watching the Nini leaks return to the real housewives and any capacity. And I know some of the other women from the other franchises on this ultimate girl's trip did as well too, is because when we think about reality television, no matter if you like it, if you love it, if you hate it, when we think about what reality TV has been able to do and become as a vehicle and business for women and, and how we watched it over the years, it's pretty amazing to think about. I mean, you think about Nini Lee, she'd think about Kim Kardashian, you'd think about Portia Williams, you'd think about so many different women who have, Lisa Vanderpump and everything that she's been able to do with like, you know, television and restaurants and the life that she built. Like, it's pretty amazing to see how, you know, what started out as just like an experiment

13:24to follow women in their integral stages of being housewives, like legit women in the house, some having to work, some having to stay home. What that has blossomed in to, to think to the likes of television and, you know, the, the growth of television now into streaming and the internet and these businesses that these women have been able to build in parallel with the fact that they appear on this platform with all of these viewers day by day. Now, before we get into Nini and, you know, the most recent episode of Real Housewives, Ultimate Girls Trip, I want to take a step back and talk a bit about, you know, for those of you guys who do not watch Real Housewives, what Real Housewives is and how it began. Now, Real Housewives across, right? So you have Real Housewives in Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Potomac. The Real Housewives show, originally began because there were all these women who were getting out in the workforce, you know, not just sitting up under the rich husband, really

14:26building a live and building a life and building a brand for themselves and producers got together and wanted to showcase this. I watched an interview that, you know, a ton of the OGs across the housewives franchise did including my girl Portia Williams. She heard it down for Atlanta and they talked about the beginning stages of it and how, in the beginning of the Real Housewives when they came to some of these women, literally you didn't even know that this was going to turn into Real Housewives. They were pitched to the show as like something named completely different. According to ustvdb.com, which is an online site that ranks TV ratings across different networks and shows and it breaks it down into like market and all these things, the Real Housewives get anywhere between 500 to 800,000 live cable viewers. I mean, we know cable looks different now. Like for instance, I watch it on YouTube TV. So it's not real cable per episode through multi-platform streaming numbers and what they continue to go on and say is because the streaming has become so big and diverse, like you

15:27can watch Real Housewives live on YouTube television but then you can also watch it through a partnership with that Bravo has with Amazon Prime. Like there's so many different ways to watch it. It now goes into the millions of live viewers per episode. So you think about that and you think about the exposure and how these women in the businesses that they've been able to build across the platform have elevated their lives. So when we talk about Neenie Leaks and we talk about Neenie Leaks coming onto Real Housewives in Atlanta back in 2008, her first appearance on Real Housewives of Atlanta was October 7, 2008. She was an original cast member for seasons 1 through 7 and then she returned in a reporting role in season 8, which is running like a front of the show and then she ended up coming back on as a full cast member a few seasons later. And then 2020 she departed the show. But when you think about this, right, in 2008 and think about how different things are now in 2006, even from Neenie departed the show in 2020, even from season 12 and 2020

16:32where Neenie departed the show. When she departed, it was like, you slowly watch charges like not want to be there. Like she was not showing up in a lot of the episodes. When she was in the episode, she was barely participating. It was so different than what we agreed to know Neenie to be and how we knew her to captivate on the show. I think her spirit was broken. She was going through things with the network. There were conversations at the time that Neenie was fighting for her own spin-off show and it was never given to her. She actually talked about this and talked about how she felt like all of the spin-off shows and different favorites and different things went to Candy Burrs, formerly of Escape Business Woman, but also a huge face and one of the OGs from Real Housewives of Atlanta. 21:42But like she was the new girl. Kim Zolziag, especially Neenie and Kim. Having all of these girls together in the back and forth, like that time was so golden. And I think as a lot of the original cast members fell off of the show and I fell off in life with just like we're no longer on the show. And things advanced. I think the conversation, it just never was in my opinion given in any way that it deserved to be. I think people say it because it is true. And I think we said in passing a lot. I mean, there was recently, you know, a lifetime achievement award that Bravo did during Bravo Con back in 2025 in Las Vegas. And Candy Burrs won the award and don't get me wrong. I loved Candy on housewives. Candy was one of the girls that you watch especially because in the business world she was eating it up. Like she can't even on them there half of Atlanta. Okay. I remember during that time, it was just people were really sad to see that Neenie was not

22:44honored then. So like on the platform, when Bravo, you know, could have made the choice to do certain things, it didn't happen. And I think that's why public conversation around Neenie, even though you know she was that girl, like if you ever really tuned into the housewives, you know, Neenie was the girl. I think publicly across certain platforms, she just doesn't get the justice that she deserves. And I think watching her on real housewives, ultimate girls trip, it was like finally, like finally, like Andy Cohen knows what's up. Like he knows, okay. He is a producer. You know, he is one of the faces of real housewives across the franchise because of, you know, just to say, hey, he brought the girls to the world. But I think when you have, it's like when you think about Kim Kardashian and Ryan secrets, right? Like when Ryan's secrets brought the Kardashians to E, not only did he run Guns, but he's done yell and scream about those girls. But he made the network theirs. Like if I'm being honest, like, E network was owned, not literally, but like the Kardashians

23:48took a lot of space on E network. I think we expected to see that from Neenie. It was very disheartening to hear, you know, all those years back that Neenie thought that, you know, she was being blocked from getting certain spin-off shows and different things. Because I think, you know, she deserved it number one. I also think that like the storylines were always there for her naturally, like whether it was about her and Greg in their marriage. And we had known to literally love and we had grown to love Greg and her marriage so much. Whether it was about, you know, different things that we were seeing in the news with her children, whether it was just about her and her business endeavors and the different things that she was attempting to do in Hollywood. I also feel like Hollywood never fully leaned into Neenie leaks the way that I thought that they would. You know, and I think at one point in time it was very divided. And I think Neenie coming up in reality TV again is a part of that. Being the reality TV star who accumulates wealth and success is, it's not as easy to do today because I feel like that reality TV show world is so oversaturated.

24:50But like if you think of it, Kim Kardashian and now what Portia Williams is doing, it was possible. But because Neenie came up in a time where, you know, reality TV was almost like, look down upon. And I was like, you are doing a little reality TV thing like, okay. Like when Kim Kardashian came into the fashion game when she was dating Kanye West all those years ago prior to all, you know, the kids, all the things, I remember, you know, being widely known and Kanye talking about the fact that he was uninvited from fashion shows because he wanted to bring Kim Kardashian. I think, you know, the sex tape definitely played a part. But also reality TV just, it was taboolyty. Like people didn't want to be with the reality TV stars. That changed a lot. So Neenie kind of like matured through and grew in fame and wealth and success through an era where people didn't want to give it to the girls on a reality TV show side. Portia brought Neenie and Neenie was helping her pack for the show. So we knew we were going to see Neenie. We just didn't know what was going to go down. So on the episode, they are our out at a drag show in Atlanta and Neenie surprises the girls. So because they're in Atlanta that Neenie may pop up but they don't know when and where. But she pops up on the stage at the drag show and literally like, I got Terry I because I felt like it was like she was finally getting her like, this is the house that Neenie leeks built. Let's take a listen to the other girls when they need popped up on the stage.

32:21Oh my god. Oh my god. I'm not gonna get my baby. I'm too much. You're so good. Who are you belong? Yes Neenie. Yes. Woo. Let me see. Let me see. Yes. Let me get up to your height. Alright. Okay. Y'all the same size. I am so emotional because it just feels like your long lost family and you're back together again. Like a really big reunion of sorts. I mean so what does that have to be here? It's so well deserved. And when Neenie tees the fact that her episode of Real Housewives Ultimate Girl's Ship was going to be coming up, she actually like recreated one of her iconic looks. She had like a, it's like a, there's like a black, it's like a body contrast in these like throwback, Louboutin heels from one of her iconic moments on the show. She redid that look and was like promoting a tequila. You know my girl get her coin promoting the tequila, not tequila collab promoting a drink cocktail collab that she has.

33:22And following the episode because there was such an outpouring of love. Like I mean, it trends every week when it was coming on, but it was trending that week, that day that Sunday when it came on. And I mind you guys again, we're headed into another episode and Neenie is going to be on the second episode. So that's not like this is well overdue. My girl, Ben Desert, her flowers that we here giving them to her now. It was trending because we all felt like the cast did like, yes. Finally. And I also think, you know, in hindsight, it's also just good to see Portia Williams and Neenie leaks back together again. We know that was having some issues. Okay. Portia Williams was not too fond of the fact that Neenie leaks hung out with her ex, double dated with her ex during all of their like, you know, ups and downs. And Neenie leaks had alleged that Portia Williams tried to stop her bag, but they had gotten, you know, way far since then. So it was good to see that especially knowing that at one point when, you know, Portia, you know, as Portia was navigating things, Neenie and her were actually like, they were good at one point, really, really good at one point.

34:25And I think what they got to share in the moment, which I thought was another amazing piece of production from the producers, the parallel Portia Williams is the face of Real Housewives of Atlanta currently. And she was on a damn good job of it. Neenie leaks was the face for so long. And we talk a lot when it comes to reality starts about the fact that we are always in our business and always in our life. And the piece of mine that does not get to come with that sometimes, Portia Williams had a spin off. It was a show about her family when she was married to Dennis McKinley, who does the hot dog shops and it's on other investments. I know he's working on rolling out the magazine, the legendary black magazine now. But she did a family show, did not go well. It was a mess, Charles. It was, it was entertaining to watch. But it just, it was no way that her spirit sat well after that, watching her family and just all of the antics and the back and forth and all the drama. And then Neenie leaks as we know, since really 2020 has been taking a break from Housewives.

35:28They got to talk about the piece of mine you gather in that time and the feeling of the piece of mine in normal to protect, let's take a listen. How much you guys? How many minutes do you have? How many minutes do you have? How many minutes do you have? How many minutes do you have? How many minutes do you have? How many minutes do you have? How many minutes do you have? I don't know what was it hard? At the beginning I was happy to be gone, honestly. Yeah. Because it was just a happy time. At first you feel a little bit like, I mean, they're shooting without me, like how they always that goes. Right, how they work. You start feeling, yes. You feel really weird. In the weird way we're like all sisters, right? I'm still very connected to these girls. Yeah. But at first it does take some time to say that you were fine leaving, weren't you? When I left, I thought I was going to be completely done with Housewives. I just wanted to see what life was outside of the camera. Yeah. And in those three years I got peace. Peace. Right? But let me say with that peace that you found, you're very protective of it. Yeah. Meaning like when I got back on the camera, if we're going to be talking about something and we're dealing with it, it's got to be some real s**t.

36:28That's why I was telling House like it's going to be difficult at first. Yeah. Because look how she looked now. She clearly had peace. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Don't worry, we're going to take it away from you. But it's always on time, okay? When something is for you, my pastor says when something is for you, it can pass you by. And I think, you know, the saying when something is for you, it is for you. You couple those together and I think what that means is preparation is the best, you know, think before success period, right? Like you got to prepare, you got to know what you're doing. And then the success will come, that accomplishment will come, that next open door will come. But at the same time, I think. A person's presence being felt doesn't happen with everybody. Neenie leaks, I don't handle it with grace, but she handled it through the death of her husband. She has handled it through medical things within her family, you know, with her sons, one of her sons. We've seen stories about him being arrested for different things. She's handled it through upsets with the different girls on the show.

41:38She's handled it through not feeling appreciated, not getting business opportunities. She believes she should have gotten, getting those opportunities as well. So being on these highs and these lows, but one thing she has done, she has handled it. And I think when you think about what's yours, it's never going to pass you by. I think that saying range true in the whole it can pass you by doesn't because some things are just in you then, I don't know you. It just is and watching Neenie back in this space, you can tell she's a little timid and warming up to the girls, but watching her back in this space, baby, the star is here, period. And I also want to commend Portia Williams for making sure that room was made for Neenie because I think, you know, and I don't know this to be facts. I would love to have either one of the women on the show. Maybe we could do that to talk about how it came about, how the idea of bringing Neenie back onto ultimate girls trip, you know, how they all came about. But like, you know, what I do know is that when Portia Williams was here on the breakfast

42:38club, she talked about being back on housewives now as a face. She talked about, you know, being in a different space where, you know, she does have a bit more control over how her story is told and what is happening with her because of, you know, her leverage with the network. So you have to, you know, and knowing that you have to think about the fact that this was something that like Portia would have ushered in. Like, yes, let's make sure we have Neenie. We're going to do 20 years of housewives. We got to give it to her. We got to give her the space, the platform, the stage and the flowers. I love that. Love to see it because that world can get caddy. Don't get me wrong. But look, the girls get through it. They get through a grace and at the end of the day, it really is like watching a sorority.
