Available on Plus and Pro Plants. It's the tailgate. I'm Chris Welsh. We've got Scott Bogman and Pat Bits Morris with us. Right here in the tailgate as we are going to be breaking down preseason action week two, which that means we are inching also closer to the start of the NFL season.

Just how everybody wanted it. Wednesday night football and Thursday night football and the weekend. You have an entire week of football that just interjects in the middle. But this this moment of week two closing is where we get that much closer fit see to the NFL season. I actually am not against just being done in week two. Just have two weeks of the preseason. Let's just start with the season. Kind of hard for me to focus on the week three action. But how we feeling? We're just so so dang close to the season. I feel like you're getting gritty Welsh. We just whittled it down from four weeks. So now we don't have that awful week four where no one played. And it was just third and fourth stringers. But you know what? I hear you though. I hear you. We're getting close to it. And this weekend we're going to get meaningful college football. So once it's always tough to watch preseason games once there's actual meaningful football being played somewhere. Speaking of betting pros college football channel.

You guys can find where Bogman and Seth Wilcocker breaking it all down. Make sure you go check it out real quick. Fitsy week two week three. What do you think is going to tell us more important story lines about the upcoming NFL season? As in this episode, we're going to be talking about latest news. What we learned from week two and a stock watch on the players moving up. But which week do you think is going to hold a higher importance for season reactions? Maybe week three. It does seem like no one really does week three used to be the dress rehearsal week in the preseason. And now it's like different teams play at different ways between the three weeks. Like when they play their starters and when they just kind of mail it in. So like you can never tell and different teams seem to be handling it different ways. Whereas there was more of a fixed pattern before when we had the four week preseason. Like nothing in week one, nothing in week four and two and three seem to be the interesting weeks. Now it's harder to tell. So week two a little bit casual. Maybe like how Bogman looks right now with the open shirt.

And week three is like if he put one button in and he buttoned it up. And like like how I'm at like a little bit more. More more. More more. More. I was a professional, but you know a little bit more week three. I'm a little bit of week three. You're a little bit of week two bugs. Don't want to say professional, but that's why I said professional. Is that right? I mean, I'm going to keep calling you on this nonsense until you knock it off. I would never say that. I would never say that. You just said it. Yeah, yeah. No, no, you but you did just say it. Yeah, the I think fits is right. I think different teams do it different ways. I do think that most teams still view week three is somewhat of a dress rehearsal. Not like, you know, three quarters like it used to be. But I think you might get a half of some starters, but other teams will completely ignore this. And this will be like the last week of the preseason. So I think we just really week two. We didn't see a lot that changed my opinion on things. Right? Like I think so week two is kind of the dead zone. I think week three will we will see more actionable.

Items happen during the preseason than we had in week two. I will say like in this little homerice, but like seeing things carry over makes me feel really happy. Actually, the stock watch guy I'm going to talk about today, I think is a carry over. And what I mean is like having multiple weeks of the same type of like uptick. But the guy the example I was going to use is like Dejon Stribling. Stribling now two straight weeks. It was week one to week two. You're like, oh, every single time he's out there, it's dominant amounts of targets. They they went out want to get him off the field. So like seeing carry over. So I know people might be like, well, preseason breakdowns and why are we to it's just like, well, let's look for those trends. And let's see one is cool, but two is the trend is the start of the trend. And that was something I took away from like week one to two was extribling was able to continue it. And we will talk maybe about some more players that qualify for that. But let's jump into some of the latest news right here on the tailgate. And one of the biggest ones we'd actually been speculating this for weeks was K-Shom booty going to get traded.

I had been throwing out New Orleans a whole lot because they had lost your entice and you know Louisiana connections and stuff like that. That had kind of been dismissed. And I think even Erickson had talked about the Patriots kind of dismissed that. But was booty going to get traded? He had requested it. We just didn't know. Well, guess what? It happened. And the Texans pulled the trigger after losing Jayden Higgins. They end up getting him for Jalen Reed and a pick. K-Shom booty goes to the Houston Texans where however it's going to end up, you know, whether he's going to be a true number two. It's just going to be part of that big rotation. This is not a bad destination. But what the role is ultimately going to look like if he is the true number two. Maybe he's a question, but Fitsy, what did you think about this trade and the overall impact of what the trade looked like? Did the Patriots get enough? And do you think booties are really good fit in Houston? Yeah, hopefully. I mean, I think he's going to be sort of the clear out guy and creating space underneath and maybe pulling safety's further away from the box and the line of scrimmage and like just giving that running game more space, giving Nico Collins more space to operate underneath.

I think they needed this because Tang Dell and Jalen Noel do their best work as slot guys that really left Xavier Hutchinson as the only other viable outside receiver. And you know Hutchinson's just OK at best. So plus Tang Dell coming off a major injury. Jalen Noel has had a problem staying healthy. They just needed another body at wide receiver and booties like he made big plays for the Patriots. Like he's quietly become a pretty good player. Bugs, what do you think? Where's the fit for bootie and what do you think about this trade, especially, you know, someone in those streets, no, not even everything? I think the role is exactly what fits. He said is, you know, he's going to be the go long guy to clear out that space in the middle for those slot dudes, right? And I think it's just great insurance. You lose Jalen Higgins for the year. Tang Dell is coming off a major injury. Noel can't stay on the field right now. That's been weird. We know Nico Collins has an injury history.

And he's a favorite Hutchinson has a mediocre history. So I just think it was, I think it was the right move. Was it an overpay? Yeah, probably. I think Jalen reads going to be really good. I think it was a great acquisition by the Patriots. You know, obviously younger and on a longer contract as well and a more affordable contract, which is really nice. But I think that this is what you needed on the offensive side just to give themselves a little protection because they didn't have it last year. And you know, we saw the offense just work way better once they went to Pittsburgh with Christian Kirk healthy, right? Like once everybody was healthy and in there, they looked way way better. So I just think this is insurance for all the injuries that they've been going through and they've had in the past. So I think it was a smart move on both sides. Can I also throw out this actually might like player we're not talking about in this. Is this a big boost to what we should be looking at for tomorrow Douglas like tomorrow Douglas is kind of cleared out like he, I mean, he was like a primary one of the highest primary slot running out of the slot guys last season in the NFL.

And now not necessarily booze and take that away. But like that's just a little bit more of a clear out. So now three wide receivers sets like pop looks like he can maybe thrive a little bit more and how people were maybe think. I mean, because Romeo dobs is kind of a beast. IJ Brown is obviously the beast. But like pop goes in from almost maybe being irrelevant to now looking like he's got a really like hardcore stationary role. So I think that's really interesting that the Patriots were willing to do that. And I think tomorrow is set up to be like in a really good space with the Patriots. I don't have his metrics sitting in front of me, but I do remember seeing pop Douglas come up all the time on like those positive metrics. And I was doing my research in the Aussies and going, man, I wish he just had a little more playing time. You know, or somebody to clear out underneath like AJ Brown, like Romeo dobs. So I think that's a great point and good name to watch pop Douglas watch that pop there. Next up on the news to Sean Watson, who has done himself no favors in previous off seasons has done himself no favors as a recent.

And he finishes off after the game with a really, really bad press conference a press conference that he would probably love to take back where you know he's like sitting there fixing his earring, you know, talking about how like it's so disrespected. They're disrespectful how is getting food and it's like. Yeah, about the tell me to Sean Watson makes bad decisions are yeah, let's not talk about disrespect in this case, but he goes on and on about him being booed blah blah blah. And this was on the heels of the Cleveland Browns saying they're going to announce a court there starting quarterback. And they did and it's just Sean Watson and that has created an echo chamber of tone deaf would be the word I think that a lot of people have said that the browns are on box and he takes on just Sean Watson as a starting. Can this last for the season, I think is my big question or is he going to get booed out of town? I thought he was going to get cut after the after the comments, honestly, and I know his cap hits like 128 million or something absurd, but I just think that that is the price you pay when you make a stupid move to go get the Sean Watson like this.

Like I just I feel like you can put up with a lot but disrespecting the fans directly. I thought was just a bridge too far. I thought there was a chance that he was going to get cut and not only did he not get cut they announced a mass of starter, but I think you do this if you're Todd Monkin. I apparently I'm assuming ownership said look, we're not cutting him. It doesn't matter what he said we're spending too much money on him. We're not cutting him. So I think this is a alright we're going to give him the first four weeks when we're one in three or four whatever we are after that I can go to shore for the rest of the season. We tried we tried to Sean Watson. They got their preview. It didn't work and that's that. So I mean that's how I that's what I think is being done with the Sean Watson here, but I cannot believe that he is not only starting to get cut. He is not only starting, but also wasn't cut. I know it's a ridiculous move, but I think everyone in the world understands it at this one thing. I think that needed to be happened and this is why he's so tone deaf is people just want like transparency and honesty and like he needed to be out there and just be like listen, I get it.

Like I got to work this season. I hope I'm the number one quarterback because I got to work this season to gain back everybody's trust and I got a lot of work to do with that. That's what you needed to say not start throwing blame and talk how disrespectful it is to give a boot. So my question to you, Fizzi is who is more tone deaf to Sean Watson or the Cleveland Browns for making this move because on top of all those things happening with Sean Watson. You've got everybody that would have supported this team in cutting him doesn't seem like anybody wanted him regardless of the play they wanted to do our Sanders. So who is more tone deaf boy that's a crowded metal stand for that one. Well, I'm going to say to Sean Watson and you know what you said at the top of this of like wishing he could have a mulligan on that press conference. Would he like I mean he's been he's been sort of in denial about everything the whole time and he's never to blame for anything. So I think getting everything he's he's showing a pattern of he's a apologetic once he does something wrong and he's not he doesn't have the foresight to see ahead to not do the thing that was wrong.

So I agree with you. I don't think like he would take the press conference back. He's just like, oh man, people didn't like that. Sorry about that. And it's like, well, you could have done the right thing before but doing the right thing before seems to be part of the issue. Right. But I understand why they're not cutting him. I guess it's an $86 million cap head. I want to say for this year, but this is six million. He said that actually the not that was like I think I think it's more than that. I'll double check. I got I got over the cap. I'm looking right now, but it's a lot either. Yeah. So he's the walking definition of sunk cost at this point. So I feel like you just kind of look sorry. You're not going to play. But we're going to have 127 127 goodness gracious. That's more than the next year and that's on the void part of I would point out that is more than probably half of it entire MLB team salaries more than half of the teams in MLB are not even spinning. That's going to be the cap. It's going to be close to the brewer's number. Yeah, that's that's that is okay. Then the last thing on this,

50, do you think that Dishonel Watson is the best quarterback in the Browns quarterback room? No, if you know if I'm a stakeholder in fantasy and Casey Concepcion Denzel Boston Harold Fanon. I want you to her Sanders is the quarterback not not Dishon Watson. And you know what? They open with two road games and then they come home for a week three game against the panthers and I think they get the Steelers in week four. I would not be shocked if it were Shadoor Sanders starting in time for that Steelers game. Like we know in the home game maybe in that first home game. Yeah, because like we know what the fan reception is going to be with Dishon Watson in week three, especially if he stinks it up in the first two weeks, which based on what we've seen in the precincts in is is probably going to happen. Like the Houston Texans version of Dishon Watson, that that's gone. There's no coming back. No, there's just this. And then the final piece. There's been a lot around a brief haul, but Aaron Glenn said that briefs hall is on track to play week one against the Titans. I guess that's good news. Not any big necessarily big breakdown.

Did you do you think we are going to see that three RB implementation if briefs hall is available? Do you think they're going to lean on that? Do you think if briefs hall's active, it's going to be heavy him? Like how do you think this is going to shake out if briefs is active for week one? I know Isaiah Davis has been banged up to. I'm not sure what his current status is, but I would expect that we're probably going to get a pretty healthy dose of Braille and Allen in week one on top of briefs hall. Like hopefully he starts gets most of the work, but I think you know, and we've heard Aaron Glenn talk about it being a three headed backfield anyway. So I do think we'll see quite a bit of Braille and Allen in the mix and maybe them not stressing briefs hall who's got a new deal and is playing in what's going to be a loss season for the jets with three about fix. They're not incentivized to go out and try to win eight games. Box, you think we might see a lot of screaming about briefs hall, especially from fantasy owners after week one that like let's say he's active, but then he gets like, you know, up here like third or 40% of the touches and it's heavy Braille and do you think a lot of people are going to be crying about the usage and stuff.

I mean, I think after week one probably, but I've held firm to the fact that this will not be a three headed monster this year because it won't it can't be. Aaron Glenn is trying to keep his job briefs hall is best running back by a lot. That's why they extended him. So once briefs hall is 100% it's going to be mainly briefs hall. I think 75% to him 25% split between Braille and Allen and Isaiah Davis and won't work that way the first couple weeks because he is coming off an injury, but Seth and I talked to Deepak, Shona yesterday going over a lot of injuries and briefs hall was kind of not even really on de pox rate are he said, yeah, they said two to three weeks. That's the time frame. It is, you know, because he gets hurt in the preseason. There's like a 5% chance, typically that they re-injure these things, any player who's hurting the preseason, the basic if you if you recover in time and have enough time to recover, it's every week you miss in the preseason is like 5% more. So maybe he's 5% 10% chance to get hurt again, but you know, the first couple weeks maybe, but after that, it has to be briefs hall because he's the best weapon on offense.

It's going to be fun. Going to be a fun front ride. I mean, you got to love it coming off a preseason two when our three biggest headlines are two of our three are talking about the browns and the jets. You know, it is we are ready for some football season. I know you guys are ready for some giveaways and we've been talking about this all month. We've got a couple that these guys have put together and let's start with number one. Fitsy, I know you won't put this together. This is a macro level of looking at things around football and then we'll be focusing on some some stock watch on some players. But number one, what have we learned, Fitsy? I learned that Dante Myers of the Cincinnati Bengals is an underdog worth rooting for. And I was watching Bears Bengals last weekend and Dante Myers was everywhere for the Bengals. He was catching passes. He was returning kicks. It's returning ponds. Dante Myers had five catches for 41 yards. He had a run that picked up nine yards. He had a couple of nice punt returns two for 30 four yards. Also to kickoff returns for 54 yards. I had to find out what this guy was all about. And the Bengals beat writer for the athletic Paul Dana did a terrific story on Myers that I read while I was watching that game.

So Dante Myers was a zero star high school recruit from Atlanta. He wound up at Presbyterian College in South Carolina. It's an FCS school played there on an academic scholarship, not a football scholarship. Then he transfers to Delta State in Mississippi. Had a couple of pretty good seasons. Nothing that would really put him on an NFL draft radar. Then Myers had a rookie camp try out with the hometown Falcons after college didn't make the cut. This was 2023. But he just refused to give up football. He kept training supported himself by driving for door dash. Said he'd sometimes make deliveries till two or three in the morning that he wake up to train at 8 a.m. So Myers then goes to a try out for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders of the CFL and had to pay $100 for the privilege of trying out. Saskatchewan gave him a futures contract for not a lot of money. That was 2024 in his first preseason game. He kind of touched on past broke his wrist and played through it, finished the game, ended up on the practice squad for Saskatchewan.

Stay there until late in the season. Got a promotion of the roster didn't do much right away. But then in 2025, Dante Myers kind of pops gets a bigger role has a thousand yard season as a receiver. A guy in the Bengals scouting department who monitors the CFL tells the rest of the scouting department about Myers and the team signs him. And Myers has reportedly been tearing it up and training camp making plays every day. Now I don't know if Dante Myers is going to make the final roster for the Bengals. They've already got a pretty good return man in Charlie Jones. It was like fourth in the league and kickoff return yardage last year. But you never know. Like maybe Myers could make the final 53. It would be great to see him at least make the practice squad so he can keep chasing the dream. I just I love these underdog stories. Hard knocks, the HBO series there with the Seahawks this summer and they've been tracking this wide receiver a second year UDFA nine in Montori, foster junior. He's having a really good camp. My wife watches hard knocks with me. She doesn't love the sport of football itself, but she loves the human element, the personalities, the team component.

Most of all, she loves the hard knocks underdog stories. The guys fighting for a roster spot and the drama of whether they're going to make it or not. So now she is emotionally invested in the future of Montori, foster junior. I'm emotionally invested in the future of Dante Myers. These are great August stories and Myers just stood out as an amazing story. What do you think the best jobs are? Like I was thinking about this as you said that because there's one side of me that's thinking like man, door to ash and uber and all those like they've actually killed the old Kurt Warner is a grocery bagger and then you know he's bagging groceries and then he goes and he gets a job like in a good way, all those guys now have that. But like are we going to see the death of the amazing stories of some guy that's like, well, I was laying brick, you know, at 5 a.m. and then you know, at 10 a.m. I was catching balls and stuff like that. Like I don't know if we're going to have any other great like work stories of guys doing goofy stuff. So I'm not like some serve an ice cream or doing soft serve and then I went out like I think door to ash just kind of killed that for a lot of guys.

Yeah, Montori foster on the the sea hawks. He got his real estate license. So he's like studying to and he's it's funny because they're following him on the show and he's finding out that he has to like pay these all these fees to keep the license or whatever. He's like, man, I got to start making money to cover some of these fees pretty soon. I got to sell something. That is cool. I don't know. I love that. Bugs. Any do you have a player that had a great job? I mean, Kurt Warner's the only one that comes the mind of of those type of things. I'm trying to think if there's any other great ones. Yeah. I mean, I'm not off the top of my head. But the gig economy, man, you could just sign up and go work for Uber or, you know, postmates or any of those whatever places. So the next one, it's all going to be it's going to be two things. It's going to be that or it's going to be like that Indy Navarotti who it's going to be actress. But it'll be like some guy is going to be trying to make a team and he's going to be a streamer and he's going to have like 700 subs or whatever. And it's like in between games, he'll be streaming like that is the new gig economy for the NFL. So that's a really cool story. I think a lot of people are with you, Fitsy on whenever we can find those great stores.

Hardin ox is done a really good job of presenting some of those. You don't most love for the NFL to do maybe a little bit more on those as well. You just presented a really good one and Dante Meyer. So that's a good thing that you're watching bugs. Second up here. Number two. What did we learn this week? We learned that Jack Strand is competing for the starting job in Atlanta, right? Like Tua has been horrific. Michael Pentax Jr. is not completely recovered from his ACL entry, although he's getting closer. But Jack Strand has looked great in camp. He's big, you know, six foot five 240 pound rookie from more head state. The stats last year at the FCS level were really good 42 passing touchdowns. He did have 14 picks, but also through for 3500 yards ran for five touchdowns as well. Big strapping dude like, you know, the the epitome of the body that you want for a quarterback for sure. And this reminds me a lot of the Russell Wilson situation, right? Like Russell Wilson came in.

New coach Pete Carroll looked at Matt Flynn. They signed into that big deal after he had one good game for the backers, where he threw five touchdowns or whatever. And then just could not be Russell Wilson and camp. I don't think anyone's beat Jack Strand and camp right now. It doesn't mean he's going to be announced as a starter, but it's to Fanski today or yesterday. I believe said that he is in the mix to win the starting job. So I think Jack Strand has a chance. And even if he doesn't win the job out of camp, I think he starts at least a game for the Falcons this year. I think this is going to be a bad year for the Falcons offense. The defense is really tough losing Jalen Walker for the year with the ACL tear and then James Pierce, you know, being suspended eight games. That was the draft class from last year. They did it because they needed edge rusher. So bad, right? So I think it's going to be a long year for Atlanta. And I think we see Jack Strand out there for at least one start. And FITZY, you're going to present a special teams to us. So from a macro team level number three, what we learned is what? Yeah, that the green Bay Packers special teams might not be a disaster for a change. And the Packers special teams have cost them so many games during the MATLA floor era. Over a little floors seven seasons in green Bay, the Packers have never ranked better than 15th in special teams DVOA and they've had years where they've ranked 31st and 32nd. Now, their special teams coach in recent years was rich, Bessacea. Green Bay special teams, gaps had become so numerous and so costly that Packers fans. They've been calling for Bessace's head for a long time. And I know this is a Packers fan and I was calling for his head to. FITZY, the highest paid special teams coordinator at one point to he may have been.

Because he was like the Raiders interim coach for a while. And my buddy used to be K told me this many, many times last year. Yeah, he had a good reputation. And he got to green Bay and just the special teams were terrible. And the problem was that MATLA floor was reportedly close with Bessacea. They were friends. So this past offseason Bessacea left on his own or so is reported that he himself made the decision to leave no word on whether like he was under duress asked to leave. But the Packers new special teams. Coordinator Cam A. Cord. He got a start in the NFL under Bill Bellichick in New England. And A. Cord is just by all accounts this ball of energy in trading camp really well prepared. It sounds like the players love him. The Packers new kicker trace smack. Sixth round draft pick. I believe Canon for a leg. And I guess he got off to kind of a shaky start training camp. But he has been money in the preseason. It's kicked a couple of 58 yarders. The return game looks pretty good with Skymore and PR stront junior kick coverage has looked a lot better like special teams have been a problem for green Bay for so long. They lost a game to the Bears late last season because they couldn't feel an

onside kick. They memorably lost. This was pre Bessacea, but they lost an NFC championship game in Seattle because they couldn't cover an onside kick. Green Bay Packers long special teams. Nightmare. I don't want to jinx it, but it might finally be over. So is the macro point here because only FITZY could make special teams sound this interesting and make it a what we learn. But for you is that the special teams adjustment maybe a game changer on who the Packers are this year because obviously they made big defensive plays. You know, they've got a strong offense. Is this like the missing link the last infinity stone for the gauntlet to be unleashed for the Packers this season is maybe crazy as it sounds. It's a big part of the game and it's a big edge like when we when I do the betting betting pro shows who Matt Peralt every week like I'm looking at special teams DVOA and like who's got the you know who are the sneaky good special teams and who's bad. And sometimes it's not who you'd expect I think the Jets last year maybe it was two years ago with Chris Banjo a former green Bay Packer special teams player.

Like he had turned into a really good special teams coach and even though the Jets stunk everywhere else their special teams were terrific so it can give you a little bit of an edge it didn't give the Jets an edge but like that's that's the hidden the hidden edge in betting sometimes and just overall winning games. I think it's like a quarter of games finish within three points so having a better kicker one that can make their field goals specifically late in the season we'll see about that and has the name for the black by the way great name yeah better than you I feel like there was a kicker a couple years ago name blu it there's a closer for short name blu it a relief pitcher in yeah MLB name blu it so that's like just have your name change to save it right like well in baseball but this is like make it yeah picker name smack like what could you just have like Richard Bigfoot like that would be the only other like big great name it's an all time name it's an incredible one.

This final piece would be a lot of that would be I didn't think of the Richard just clicked with me that's the name Robert Robert maybe Jonathan Bigfoot whatever either one of those would work maybe not what I said the final one is one for both of you guys Fitsie put this on here and I think it's a really really great one and it number four is Tyrone Tracy and the note here is Tyrone Tracy has no future for the giants it is been a bad run after bad run whether it's past blocking issues obviously Najee Harris has put kind of a hyper focus on this but um 50 put the sun here I want to start with you bogs and we'll go to Fitsie do you buy that Tyrone Tracy has no future with this team after the signing and how the preseason is gone because I think this is a very valid take away from the second preseason week. Yeah I mean look D. Bro was harping on it last week right on this show on tailgate about how Tyrone Tracy with that block that's why they went out and got Najee you know and traded for lay lay both them with with on that block that got Jackson dark killed so I do think you know when you have scataboo you have Devon single Terry and it seemed like you know you have one of the better running back rooms in the league and then you go out and get Najee well tell me one of two things it tells me someone's getting cut and it's either single Terry or Tracy and I you know scataboo is not absolutely 100% now neither is Najee he's coming up.

I'm not going to be looking off a tourney kill these as well. But I I think I agree with this I think Tyrone Tracy is probably gone I'll definitely latch on with another team before the season starts but yeah I think he's probably his days are numbered for the science. What was what was the moment that you realized Tyrone Tracy was not long for the giant city where was at the signing of Najee Harris was at him getting blown up like when did when did this realization hit in week two. In the game against the Dolphin Saturday when Devon single Terry was running back for all eight snaps that James Winston played he was the starting quarterback for the giants and so like eight games for the eight snaps for the starters and then single Terry leaves and Tyrone Tracy enters the game later so Tracy clearly behind Najee Harris and Devon single Terry and I don't think the giants keep three running backs barring some sort of injury. What's weird is that well she I mean Tyrone Tracy has had more than a thousand yards from scrimmage each of his first two NFL seasons 38 catches as a rookie 36 catches last year.

He came into the league as an older prospect so he's going to be 27 in November I guess like he's probably at the ceiling but man I mean the this new regime John Harbodge is they are not going to let a mistake like nearly getting Jackson dark killed. Clearly holding it against Tyrone Tracy and I would imagine like he would not be in the open market for very long there teams that would need of services maybe someone like the Raiders who all the sudden were just for a few anxious moments looking at having rookie Mike Washington be their lead running back. I think it seemed like the 49ers could as well they've been just like yes all throughout the precinct they've been looking at different running backs and trying them out and I know they just made a move off of I think it was white but you know they might bring in someone like that like with the with a camp black and him kind of competing with Jordan James of the for I don't know if they would go that way but to your point major point there's a multitude of teams that would look at him but.

It doesn't look like Tyrone Tracy is going to pay a predominant role with the giants this year whether he's moved on in the preseason or it happens earlier on Washington throw a wrench into that whole situation I mean the worst case scenario would be like yeah like a dicey running back group or something like that I mean if you're trying to project and you're trying to like look at it for fantasy we're going to talking about players here that's a little stock down for a player we're going to talk about some stock ups but before we do is mention not only for your opportunity to win the ladenian Talents and make sure you subscribe down the YouTube leave comments hit the like button subscribe to all the great things but if you're listening on a podcast make sure you follow leave us a comment give us rating and reviews on a lot of podcasts but you can do it it really helps for more NFL fans to find this show so the tailgate can grow bigger and stronger with all the great crew that we've got going on thank you guys for hanging out with us and whether it's YouTuber podcasts is easy ways for you guys to help stock up these are individual players through the preseason because you got to be careful about who you're really good at.

I'm going to buy into on some of these performances but let's do a little stock look here and pat you pick the guy that I had last week but as I said earlier in the show how many players have we seen carry over a week in a week out so your stock up is to John Stribling so he is back into this talk to us about what this second week did for you to continue this rise where we just in episode by the way I'm fantasy pros where we look in real time ADP he is moved in as a top 100 player. I'm going to eat off the boards I know really NFL fans you probably dabble I would imagine the majority of the people here across over to the fantasy side but to understand the rise the Dejon Stribling is have that he is now 98th overall the 40th wide receiver going off in the fantasy streets is a crazy crazy big jump and the last two weeks of help so Fizzy we just talked about this with Stribling so break down the stock up in your eyes of Dejon Stribling. Yeah four catches for 46 yards on five targets in preseason week two I know believe he's got something like 10 catches in approximately 20 minutes of preseason game action.

He's big he's fast he is hard to tackle and he his hands like suction cups like the ball just sticks it looks like spider man snaring these passes in the preseason I mean he just he looks like he belongs. It was funny that there was all the hall of blue about where he was drafted at the first the top of round two first pick of day two of the NFL draft on everyone thought the 49ers reached and like he now looks like he was under drafted as the first pick of day two like he has just been that good now we've talked about it on the other show well she like is there going to be room for straddling the contribute with Mike Evans D. Bossamiel George kill Christian McCaffrey. Maybe not but boy I mean like all those guys are 30 year older like this could be the dose of dynamism that the the 49ers were maybe hoping they were going to get from Ricky pier saw before he came up lamb so.

Man I mean this guy is so intriguing he blocks I can might be he might be their new brand in I. U.K. Can I ask you was was it the move from week one into week two that that really did change your mind because obviously this has been buzzing there so much buzz about it but like was it seeing it happen again what because it was a much like much bigger in our face off of week one but then week two happened again it was like here we go right off the top up up up up up so was it seeing it over multiple weeks or was there something more in week two that major jump more than week one. Just that it seems like their whole mo because he's he's the only guy playing we're not seeing any of these other starters play and it seems like the focal point of those drives is like hey let's get this kid the ball and see what he can do let's get him targets and see what he can do first week like oh you did pretty well second week works again I mean it's just like working splendidly making this guy the focal point of their passing game granted for really small doses of these two games but.

Man he's passed every test so far did he's our what's that game on prices right the yodel the yodel are they just need to continue going up like every episode he just he continue he's our yodel for the only one with that reference fits I said this on the dynasty pot of the worms and worm was like you know you said this three times I didn't realize I said it this many times but I didn't know idea what you're talking about when you're talking about what's the yodel man man man man he had the internet when he stayed home from school he didn't have to watch the prices right I was about to say like your life in calling out sick or something like that or being out you know school sick was you just sit on the couch and you watch prices right and you pick your favorite games and you always always great that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that I thought struggling like you know I I agree with you guys like the stock has to be raised I'm still somewhat skeptical skeptical on his performance early in the season I think

kiddles going to be back Mike Evans is going to be back CMC is your number one seed in terms of touches so I do question his you know fantasy value I thought he's brought in more for special teams into block and learn so I think what we're seeing is surprising in that there's a lot of guys that pop in camp and then don't do anything in the games and he's done both so it's really really a good off season here preseason for struggling interesting one for you for your spotlight on the stock watch here you've got a running back who had some heavy usage but there's been a lot of questions about who the number two for this team is going to be so stock watch is who Jayden blue hook him by the way I think you guys took the two most pertinent names on this we already talked about Jack strand a little bit earlier so I really you know it was hard for me to find another guy here but they did let Jayden blue run right and I think this was kind of a test if should anything happened to Javonte Williams is Jayden blue a guy that can handle the ball more than 10 times a game so they gave him 15 carries he had 75

yards a lot of praise he pt upon him from Brian shot and he's well he said there's night and day improvement in his approach and his growth from last year he said there was a turning point at some point in the offseason where Jayden blue has looked like a completely better player his football intelligence has been described as off the charts so it's just all this praise on Jayden blue and he still might not be the number two it might still be a Malik Davis there but that's where I was going to go is that's kind of the narrative right now is that like no one like they didn't want to hand him that job and Malik's you know ability for pass blocking like could keep him away for it so I get a game basis it will be Malik Davis as the two but I think if anything happens to Javonte I think that is when Jayden blue would step up that's interesting because I kind of you and I had like a pick on fight about the K Tron Allen where like you saw K Tron Allen get all the carries and I talked about it was one of the most inefficient like technical like preseason outings of how inefficient he was with those they're all on the preseason injuries right yeah to me it's like what what is the battle between the volume you see from

guys that are in the vicinity of a battle versus like what the production actually means like you know because sometimes volume in preseason it actually not good yeah I understand that but I think that those two guys in particular like blues not getting cut so you give him a bunch of touches to test him I think it's the same thing with K Tron Allen I don't think K Tron Allen's getting cut I would say it's more likely that K Tron gets cut and Jayden blue gets cut Jayden blues already made it a year right so and he was bad last year so to make it this year when he didn't have a good season as a rookie I think means a little bit more than it does Kate for K Tron Allen but I do think that I just I think the opportunity is obviously better in Washington because they don't have a really good back I don't think Chiquitriske Meritz very good I don't think Rashad White is a guy that you want being a three down back I think he's a role player so the ultimate answer for Washington might be a running back next season in the draft or or a free agent or something but I think that Jayden blue might be the handcuff for Chimante should something go down but like you said on a game to game basis I think Davis is the number

two for to what do you think about Jayden blue here and also curious that you take on like when you do see the volume of guys like Allen and blue like that doesn't necessarily mean it's a great thing but blue was efficient you have any thoughts on this one yeah I agree with that volume can be kind of a negative thing it's it's interesting I feel like they're sort of they want to see both of these guys I feel like they viewed as an open competition because didn't blue play ahead of Malik Davis in preseason week one but in week two I think it was Davis in before blue was it not that's right yeah yeah so which I don't necessarily see as any sort of shift in the packing order I just think that these guys are my maybe sort of like two and two B so the final one here this is my guy and as you mentioned if you were looking at a couple players one of the players you're probably going to think of is Mike Washington and I actually would take out I thought this was the pertinent guy before the weird injury thing that happened so obviously we didn't even mention this at the top this is actually kind of my

mistake here one of the biggest stories out there but it's we all breathe the sigh of relief is Ash and Gentie Ash and Gentie got rolled up earlier in the week and he had to be I think it wasn't carted out but I think he couldn't put pressure on it there was like a six hour period where dynasty owners were just like they thought they were wall street like they're trying to make stock deals like Ash and Gentie deals yeah I'm doing the flex draft right and it's a slow draft on MFL and I had Mike Washington on my board and then Woody marks below him and all of that for my like auto pick like I queued it and you know I took Mike Washington I think this happened like an hour after the Gentie injury and the guy picking behind me had Gentie and Jake text me he's like was that really your pick we really going to take Mike Washington because the guy behind you took Gentie and I thought it was going to be fair and I was like I mean that was my guy you know so just very very strange there that it all happened and I got that text well there's a

period of time where it was like you saw in some drafts Gentie was falling to the sixth round Mike Washington was going as high as the third round people are worried we might have lost a Gentie for the season then we get a little bit of a sigh of relief where it's an ankle sprain it's not a tornado CL it's none of that stuff there were you know just absolute garbage bait accounts that are just like my sources tell me and it's like yeah your sources you mean the clicks that you're trying to get to get paid on social media got it there's no reality to any of that ankle sprain now ankle sprains we have not heard the severity because a high ankle sprain could have him maybe miss a month of the season low ankle sprains he could be available for week one where we're sitting at his recording this episode and that's why I forgot to put it at the very top is that there is a hope that he's in a play for week one but this all comes back to Mike Washington because obviously Mike Washington he raised in just everybody's perception but it is now two straight weeks where he has looked phenomenal and he looks explosive he was averaging over six yards per carry in this game on this weekend nine for 56 so you saw him get a little bit of volume in there

he continues to show really really incredible breakaway speed now I don't think nor do is it really look like a guy that you're going to give like a predominant amount of carry so like even in a scenario where guy like ashen genty is gone if that were to happen I'm not even sure they would feel comfortable or wanting Mike Washington to get the brunt of all of it but he looks like a guy if you give him 15 touches he you are guaranteed a big explosive break way he just looks great in the open field so regardless of genty or not my question to God a lot of people's attention the previous week and he's doing it again and he just keeps making those big plays so I think our perception of him and what he can be continues to move up they'd see I ask you do you think there's a scenario where genty already got kind of banged up he gets back how good Mike Washington is a could Mike Washington be forcing a hand that they want to get him more involved I don't know what that ends up looking like maybe it's nothing more than a key Mitchell in previous years like the Ravens or something like that or could it be something where they're like we got to get this guy 10 touches per game in some way because his stock is moving up and I think

that's at least got to be in the conversation I think they have to like what they see and feel justified that they spent what forth round draft capital on him but there is a reason that a guy with the size speed profile of Mike Washington fell into day three of the draft like he didn't really pop until he was a fifth year senior at Arkansas um after being at some lesser schools doesn't have really good advance metrics in college like his his mistakles forest rate was pretty terrible it's fumble rate was kind of concerningly high um just like doesn't always take on contact the way you'd like to see a bigger back to he has looked undeniably good early in the preseason I'll be going against you know some backup defenders and vanilla defenses so but again like you can only pass the tests that are given to you and he has done that so far so maybe he is forcing that I just I think now maybe they just view him like yeah he's clearly our number two he's

earned that whether they feel the need to get him 10 touches a game I don't know if it's to that point yet yeah arbitrary number of something out there but bugs what do you think about uh wash and you can speak on the potential touches per game they do want to get him usage or they just feel comfortable they got a guy no matter how you chalk it up you stock is up but it's like what level is probably um you know that's the optional one the clear handcuff to Ashen Gentile right like and Dylan lobby is look good too like now that you have a coach that actually knows how to use a guy I like Dylan lobby I feel like he looks great in the preseason as well so I do think if if genty was out uh longer than we expected at this point because you know and I hate the vagueness of this but they said yeah the ankle spraying is more low than high like whatever that means so uh thanks for the clarity there clears mud so uh just kind of dumb but I think the reason we're disappointed that Mike Washington landed in Vegas is because uh Ashen Gentile was top 10 in touches is a rookie last

year behind a line that was bad like you don't want to keep giving genty touches but they had to because the quarterback situation was so bad so I still think it's you know genty by a mile over anybody else on this team but I do think that Mike Washington has proven himself and he has given us the absolute handcuff for genty here I think maybe it was a little bit of a question before that and probably going to be more 50 50 but I think should genty be out of the picture on a week-to-week basis I think it'd be 75 25 Washington and lobby so I think that Washington has made himself a nice handcuff here well make sure uh you guys drop below in the comments what players are in your stock up what did you learn this week we'd love to hear from you and when you do so in your subscribe you're putting yourself in a good position to win that ladenian tolerance in Jersey couple things going down college football is right around the corner and you can catch Bogman and Seth Wilkock over on the betting pros college football channel that's what you can search on YouTube make sure to follow them what do you guys got going on you guys are going to have you gonna have
