You're listening to Betting Weekly Live on the Bet Rivers Network. All right, here we go. Betting Weekly Live. Here with you on a Friday, heading into the weekend, our first NFL weekend of the 2026 season, my carver along with Doug Couserian. We've got NFL, we've got college football tonight, we've got a full slate of baseball tonight. We are super busy and no-dug. I won't bury the lead today because we hit the daily double last night. A Yankee daily double in plus 195. We're on two in a row, three out of four. We're getting into one of those zones that we sometimes get on, Doug, that kind of get that daily double number back to about even. So let's go, let's keep going after it. Yeah, who needs the NFL, right? We've focused on the Yankee game. We couldn't wait till 5.25, you know, Pacific. We needed to get going at four o'clock and we got there. Nice, Volpe, Grand Slam to give us a little breathing room, but it really was the game we discussed in Garcia.
I mean, you nailed it. Well done again with another Homer. Going for four homers in a row today. We've had the Homer each day this week. So that's also a good week. Daily doubles, home runs, doing very well. Here as we head into the first NFL weekend. And I could, I guess I'll wait till the NFL until we get there, but I'm not going to. Because it happened last night, I want to get it out of the way. I guess if the 49ers could say it after the game, we all can, Doug. I guess the Rams made the wrong decision with what they did. How they treated the Australia game. I knew we'd be results oriented, but you know, that's what happens when these things. And I just think the, I think the Niners wanted it more. I don't know if they were like fresh or whatever. I just think they wanted it more. And one team came in as sort of the Super Bowl favorite. And the other was hungrier. I really think it comes down to that. It is kind of, and you know what else? I just, I thought about watching that game last night. And I don't think it was talked about enough heading into this season.
Mike Evans is such a good player. Like he really is. Like I get, and I know like you think about all that's straight, thousand yard seasons in Tampa. And he wanted Super Bowl there with Brea. He is so good. Like he just plops right into that nine or off. And last night scores a touchdown. If he stays healthy, he's still. Even at his age, a great weapon to have in the NFL. He just is. Well, and Shanahan figured out how to keep the explosive plays without diminishing the blocking of one mile's Garrett. So I just think that's the creativity. And you know, go back to Evans. You're right. I mean, man's L won the Heisman. Someone was the toast of the town as a head coach. And neither of those guys have mounted the much after that. So maybe Evans deserves a lot more credit than we thought. It's a good point. 27 to seven. All the unders got there under for the game, under for both quarterbacks. It was an under night down under in Australia for us here. Like I said, good night on bedding weekly live. Let's go. We've got a lot to do for tonight and the weekend.
We did a lot of the college obviously yesterday with Jimmy Ott for Saturday's games. But we do have games tonight, five games in college football, the highlight being the border war. Missouri and Kansas getting together in Lawrence this year. Right now at Bet Rivers minus five for the Tigers. This is an 8 PM East kick on big Fox. 52 is the total, Doug. You know, I don't really know what to do. This line feels fishy. Missouri's done well. Drink with has been very good in these situations. Take care of taking care of business out of conference. Now this is a rivalry game, but you know, taking care of business. And then kind of lean to the J-Hawks. And there's been some steam in the market that sort of gives me reason for it. So that's where I stand on a few things. I lean Mizzou, but you know, no reason to play it.
I just think you know, rivalry game, all that. Yeah, you know, I can get behind that. I feel like it should be more. And I feel like I'm missing something. Like Missouri's better than Kansas. This is they are an SEC defense. Drink with his great in these spots. Kansas, I mean, their win total is what? 4 1,5 and a half this year, Doug. They're not supposed to be any good. Right. In the big 12 and I get its rivalry game and it's in their house, but Missouri's better. So I might fall into the trap a little bit here, Doug, but I think it's Missouri or nothing. Missouri minus five or nothing tonight. I don't really know where I am looking for us. And maybe we'll get some points. Maybe we'll get a little zany game, but you know, the kid looked good that they started. It was a mobile quarterback that Kansas started last week, but that was against L.I.U. They're playing an SEC defensive Missouri tonight. Let me see him go do that this evening. So it's Tigers for me going on that one. The other game of kind of significance this evening, Rutgers off the loss at home to UMass,
goes to Boston College tonight. BC, as we know, we have documented through the last few months leading up to the season was going to be one of the worst teams among the Power 4 conferences this year. But they are a three point, what's three and a half down to three, point favorite at home against Rutgers. Total is a 54. Obviously, always an emotional night when they do the Red Bandana game at Boston College. They're doing that this evening. Shionno obviously needs to get a win after what he's heard for the last week about his program. Interesting game between Rutgers and BC, Doug. You know, there's going to be a lot of emotion, but really it's just wild what happened to Rutgers last week, right? Favorite by nearly 30, loses outright by a 20-ish. And I think its Rutgers are past. It's hard because you don't want to overreact a one game, but you also have to stay fluid and adjust your money along the way. And that's where I'm so torn on this because I do think Rutgers is,
well, first of all, I think UMass is much better than people think. Are they like a good team? No, but they're not the doormat that maybe they have been in years past and the brand recognition would suggest. Boston College is that bad coming in. They couldn't figure it out. They don't have a quarter, but I think Rutgers shows up and you're getting three points. The markets moved from three and a half to three. Can't be a big play though. It cannot. So I would say Rutgers plus three is a regular play, so to speak. Yeah, that's, we kind of mentioned this yesterday. That's where I am, too. I think it's Rutgers. Thankfully, I mean, listen, thank you. I got three and a half this morning. It's gone down to three, so I'm happy. I got that little hook four later on. So, you know what? I think Rutgers wins the game out, right? I don't think the points are going to matter. I think the Rutgers are better. And I think they're going to win the game. So whether it's three, three and a half, really not that much of a difference on my end. There are three other games, Doug, but I mean, I don't know. They're all massive spreads with ACC teams.
Louisville Lane, a boatload against Villanova. Virginia Lane, a boatload against Norfolk State. NC State Lane, a boatload against Richmond. So that's the outlaw that you got on college football tonight. If you want to go after any of the big, you know, those ACC big spreads and any of those other games. Right. Not I won't be. Not really. I'm not running to the window for that. You know, again, like you got to pick your spots. We had a good time laughing about Miami yesterday. Man, that was one-sided to say the least. But you know, you can't force these games. Like, do I know much about Villanova football? No, I do not. So I'm not going to force anything there. There you go. College football for tonight, getting involved for us this evening. Missouri Kansas border war and Rutgers B.C. For us. And you can go back to yesterday's show, as always, on the Betting Weekly Studio channel. Go back. Jimmy Ott was with me in Doug for really the whole entire second half of the show yesterday. Go back and watch and get all of us. We talked about a bunch of the big games, including Texas
and Ohio State and the other college games. Me, Jimmy and Paul on Wednesday, Betting Weekly, if you see FB Live, you can go check that out. Get you going with all the college for the weekend. Also, when you subscribe to the Betting Weekly Studio channel, check out all of our other shows, including released earlier today, Betting Weekly, WTA. Nigel Ceeley and Tim Dennis preview the Women's US Open Final, of course, Sabah Lanka is going to be in that against Rybacchina Women's Final tomorrow at the US Open, Nigel and Tim have got you all set. When's the big men's American match? Is that tonight, Doug? We get Shelton and- I think so. I think so. I'm not tonight. I'm talking about my joints. Like, I don't know, I don't know, Dennis. You guys, we have experts. We have experts for that. I do believe I saw that, yes, that is going to be this evening over there in Flushing, big, all-American semi for us tonight. All right, it's time, Doug.
For the first time this year, NFL Sunday is back. Week number one. We got through these opening Wednesday and Thursday night games. But now we need to get to the Sunday slate. 13 games for us. Let's go through the ones, the big ones, any kind of props we like. Everything to get us ready to get rolling. All right, Foxhads and the 1 o'clock East Window on Sunday, the Bucks at the Bengals. We will start there. Of course, all the chatter with the Bengals this year, Doug, is, is their defense finally improved? They make the big trade for Dexter Lawrence. They gave up a billion points last year. They lost a lot of 45, 40 games. They're laying four at home against Tampa. And it's a big total, let's expect it. It's 50 and 1.5. I lean Bucks here. This Bengals offense aligned just gives me a lot of concern. Baker got the big deal already. So that's not looming. Bengals are really powerful. This game probably I have the least conviction of any game
this weekend. Look at the dogs covered in both games so far this week. Seattle had no business winning, and you get to push it three. But if you had three and a half and pick them leagues and things like that. And then obviously it was dog all the way yesterday. I think in the NFL, you really got to have strong conviction to lay the point. So it's take or pass for me. So I'll, I mean, you get four. Now, four is kind of a dead number, but not really. We have so many two-point conversions. So it really has to be a team down three late, and scores a touchdown goes up four. Otherwise, you're getting the two-pointing. So four and three and a half, not really a big one. It really only happens when a touchdown is the last score or something like that on there. The team that was trailing by three. I'll take the dog here. And remember, the Bengals have been horrific starting in this current coaches regime. Weeks one and two, they lose outright. Like, last year they beat the Browns, 17, 16, if I'm not mistaken.
So this is a team that really just is slow out of the gates. And that's going to happen. Some teams are so slow starters. Actually Houston, we're going to talk about a little bit, Strauts, 0 and 6, ATS in his first two games in his three-year career, right? So no, not running to the window to fire on this, this Bengals team. I know you don't like to go too much off a last year with week one, because these teams are different. It's kind of all that we have to go off of week one, the hardest week to bed of the entire season. I'm not buying the whole Bengal defensive reconstruction, Doug. I'm not. I don't believe it. I don't think Dexter Lawrence in the middle is enough to say that all of a sudden the Bengal defense is going to be stout and actually hold the opponent's to under 30. If anything, it's over 50 and a half for me. And I know in week one, that could be tough. We just watched two, I guess you could say, Doug, kind of, I'm not going to say boring, but sloppy, low offensive games the last couple nights in Seattle and Australia.
But you usually get a couple that could kick up in week one. And I got a feeling Baker and Burrow can kick this one up in week one. So I kind of leaned to the over. Now, under's ridiculous conversion over the years, under's have really been sort of the way of the, you know, really a strong like week one, just that control. Yeah. They are. But we do have a couple of 50s here this week. And I think maybe one or two who can get there. Sure. With how things can roll. Also, one o'clock east window. You were mentioning the Buffalo Bills will be in Houston against the Texans. This is now, how about this? Pretty much one for obviously weeks, one, one and a half. We've gotten a two here on Friday. Two point road favorite for Buffalo. 45 is the total. And I will tell you right out of the gate dug as the card carrying bill fan here on the program. They never win in Houston.
They are o and four in the Allen era straight up in an RG against the Texas. I like Houston and pick them leaks for sure. I like Houston first half as a wager. Stroud, I mentioned those numbers, but he was great in the first halfs, by the way, Josh Allen is the best second half quarter back against the spread the last two years, 29 and nine. So once the game opens up and we're talking the other stats to adjusted EPA per play, success rate, all these advanced metrics. It's really, it's really something worth mentioning because he kind of takes over, right? The guard rails are off and he's kind of improvising and stuff like that. So he's going to take some of the MVP and the special player. And the Houston defense will be fresher. They're not worn down, pass rushing all that. Now we have a new coach, right? And he used to, sorry, Buffalo. And I don't love Domingo Rines from a gain management standpoint,
but obviously leader of men defensively, I think that all kind of shines more in the first half. Yeah, look, they, for whatever reason, something always weird goes wrong for the bills in Houston. They've played some very strange games there in the Allen era. Last year, Alan was running for his life all day long. I think he got sacked eight times against the Texans last year in the game. And this is like the same offensive line for the bills. I really didn't want to change there. I'm a little skeptical about Brady. I got to see it kind of see it first before I start the buy-in of him being the head coach. But it is Josh Allen again, CJ Stroud. So get the end of the day. That's kind of, like you're looking at it. You try to look at it in that. Houston defense very good. I think it'll be another one of those nail-biting games that I'm not going to have a play on. And I'm just kind of going to be going with my heart open. And Josh could pull it out. At the end, you get the bills off to a decent start. Want to know here, because I would not like betting this game,
even if I wasn't a bills fan, to be honest. Yeah, yeah. I mean, look, the NFL, right? Expect the unexpected. But all signs do point to like kind of a Houston suffocating win. Yeah. And look, we're going to talk about it. Lots of home dogs this week. Some of them are going to bark. And the Texans are one of them getting to at home against Buffalo. 425 East Window NFC North Battle to kick things off as we will have the Packers and the Vikings getting together in Minnesota. Vikings minus 1 and 1 half, of course, with Kyler Murray at quarter back now. Total is 46. They seem like Division rivals, Doug, and they play. These are two others that play kind of wild and crazy games every single year. One of them usually is out of there, too. Right. Right. You know, this, this I don't really know what to make. Green Bay has sneaky one of the worst offence of lines in the game. But the play calling kind of mass it. And obviously no Jacobs for the Packers. The Vikings kind of need this game.
And so much has been made of what Kevin O'Connell did with Sam Donald. And now he gets Kyler Murray, who's a dual threat. I'm just not a big fan of Murray. I think he's super inaccurate. I think a lot of his stats are misleading. They were blown out. And that's where he kind of shines. Because he got, he can just tuck it in, run against prevent defenses. He doesn't need to read the defenses that much. He's not under center. He's going to shotgun. Things are simplified. I just, I think everyone's making this out to be too simple of a play. Well, look what O'Connell did with Donald. Well, Donald was a really good quarterback. All things considered coming out, right? Yes, he had a hitch in his throw. Yes, he had some turnovers at USC. But I mean, look, Kyler Murray was the number one pick. So it's not like he was a bad quarterback in college. But I just don't know if he's sort of matriculate down the field type of quarterback. Even if O'Connell can make the game easier, kind of like Canalis has done for Bryce Young, or some of these other young QBs that took some time to do that. I just, I can't get involved. I know a really sharp guy that's on the Vikings team total over.
But Minnesota's defense is very good. And I'm not a huge Jordan love guy. So I'm going to lean Minnesota here. But for some reason, I'm just not ready to pull the trigger here, even though a lot of signs would suggest I should. Now, the Packers are one of those teams. And me and you had this discussion a lot last year during these shows about Jordan love. And do we really like Jordan love? Do we not like him? Do we believe in him? Do we not believe in him? And I've sided with you for the most part about him. I haven't really fully gotten there. But the one thing that kind of always seems to come up with me with the Packers the last couple of years with him in La Flora is, I never want to back them, Doug, when they're favorites, when they're expected to win and things like that. But when they're in a spot like this, where they're like a short dog on the road, they sometimes, they show up, I feel like. And you know, this is kind of where you do want to back love in La Flora. And there is a lot of uncertainty. I'm not buying in fully on the Kyler Murray experience yet.
Now I do have a touchdown in this game. We're going to talk about it in a little bit. That kind of plays into it. But I think that the La Flora love combo that's been together for so long should be able to get themselves out of Minnesota with a win. So I lean to the Packers, Doug. Interesting. A little contrary in play to be honest, because it's a very trendy play on Minnesota. Yeah, I'm going on the Packers side. I'm not buying in with the Vikings until I see Kyler Murray really go out there and win some games. Sunday night, Cowboys and the Giants. We should just say this is the Sunday night opener every year, right? Doug, what's it been? I think it's a last game of a million times. Yeah, I feel like it's been this game. It's so often the Sunday night, whether it's Sunday night or Monday, it's always seem to be a prime time game to start the season with these two. The Cowboys come in, three point road favorites, Giants now with a new regime with Arba at the helm, Jackson Dart and the crew. Big total here with a 48 on Sunday night.
I did see the Cowboys had kind of a significant injury. Back up running back, Malik Davis ruled out. He got injured in practice today. So they're still going to have Javante Williams in there, obviously, but teams like to run a bunch of different backs. Cowboys minus three road favorites Sunday night, Doug. Yeah, I loved it at two and a half. I still like it at three. Deck Press got, by the way, just dominates this division. 37 and 10 straight up in the division. 32 and 15, ATS. I really like where this team has headed. I really like Shotin'imer. I know we've seen other coaches who are coaches. Suns, a son of a coach, get sort of the fast track. That's not been the case here. And I've been really impressed with just how this team had a game plan in a vision. And they're going to be a top five offense. I think the defense is going to be fine, especially against this Giants team, which is good, not amazing. I like Jackson Dart. I just don't think he's a fully realized
his potential, obviously, he's a young QB. And I think Harboss fine. And he is the adult in the room, but man, I think they're getting too, a little too much headed. I made this line four. So, like I said, I loved it at two and a half, and I still play at three. I think the Giants can win this game, Doug, but I don't have enough confidence in him to go out and bet them. I don't. I think that the Cowboys are the safer side here, especially with how Dack, like you said, he's so good against these other teams in the NFCEs. Usually the Cow, they coming out first game, a lot of problems. He still really don't know what the Giants, do we know yet? Jackson Dart, Doug, I mean, we saw some stuff from him last year, but do we really know yet? I mean, going back to the Kevin O'Connell thing, I think people just get a little too simplified with like, oh, I mean, they blew six games, they blew the lead bunch. Well, that's not gonna happen with our balls. So that means they're gonna win all those games. It just doesn't work like that all the time, right? These are one-score games. Maybe they'll be down two scores this year,
and then, you know, right. Right, but little Sunday night game for us here to start things off at MetLife in the Metallands. All right, let's do a few others for this Sunday. We'll go to the other team from New Jersey, the Jets. They will be in Nashville against the Titans. A game where both fan bases are looking at this game as we need this game to start our year off on the right foot. Over underbetters of both of these teams are looking at this game as we need to start off on the right foot. Titans minus one and a half as they start the Bobby Salah era, 38 and a half is the total. Yeah, I like the Chets here. Maybe I need to, you know, go to the emergency room and see what the hell's going on on me. But look, I think this game seriously favors the Jets and the trenches, both O-line and D-line. And I think that's where the game's gonna be won. I don't mind Salah. I don't think it's a bad coach, regardless of what happened with the Jets before. I think you have to take everything with the grain of salt
with the Jets or the Browns, a player, a coach's history, right? Bell Check's terrible with Cleveland, look what happened. So I'm not saying that with Salah. I just think the Jets are that much better in the trenches. And I think they're gonna win this game. Now, I'm not a Geno, a Geno Smith fan. I'm a Raiders fan and when they got, when they announced that they were getting him, I was miserable. But with that being said, nobody could have played well. Mahalms would have been terrible with that Raiders offense, Align. It was a sap, sorry, excuse for a franchise, all that. So I just really think that he's gonna be good in the situation with a good offense, Align, good weapons, Titans have some weapons too, Cam Wardle, I think the Jets eat this one out though. I know that I've kind of been on an entire off season of talking about how the Jets are gonna go under five and a half and they're gonna lose. They should lose every game and they should do all that. I actually think they're gonna win on Sunday. I think that they're actually,
I think that this is a great match up right. I think they're better than the Titans. And maybe I've been hearing so much locally here where I am dug about how explosive this Jets offense can be with everybody healthy and Geno actually having an offensive line and Garrett Wilson and Omar Cooper and Bree Saw and on and on and on. So maybe I'm buying in a little bit that at least for week one with everyone healthy that they might be able to score some points. So that's kind of where my lean is. Not the biggest, I don't think we've seen enough yet from Cam Ward yet to be able to go in on him. Here is the enters year two who knows he's with Brian Dable this year. Maybe that'll get him cooking. But any, you got to have a prop for this. There's a prop for this game that I think is great. Yeah, I mean, the big narrative last year, right? The Jets didn't have any interceptions. It's just fascinating. And they only got like fumble recoveries at the end of the season. So it was really like here's a Aaron Glen, a defensive minded coach, all that, just hilarious. Now for Cam Ward to throw a pick,
just one interception. I'm looking it up right now. Where are we here? Okay, it's minus 103. I think you have to bet it. I think you'd Martin Gale at the rest of the year. It was very fluky. It was very fluky. It was super fluky here. It really was. And I like this a lot. You go right in on them, getting it right out of the gate. Interception for Cam Ward, who quarterback prop for us. Washington visiting the Eagles. This is also a 425 East kick. Eagles are minus five and a half. The total is 44 and a half. I really feel dug that the Eagles have just been as under the radar as they have been in the Seriani era. I mean, there's always some kind of talk around Philadelphia. They've won a Super Bowl two years ago. There I feel like they are getting zero juice or zero discussion around them heading into this year.
And that might be a bad thing for a team like Washington. I think the Eagles come out strong. I do too. I think everything's under the radar. And we're starting to see this line trickle up, I think. It's because of the offensive line injuries for Washington. Laramie Tundsell, the left tackle, not going like this could be dire situation for Washington. And I like Jaden Daniels, but everyone's forgetting. He was shined in that first season with Cliff Kingsbury as the OC. That wasn't the case last year. Daniels got hurt. I think this team's kind of a mess. And the Eagles are going to want this game. I think Devonte Smith props our bangers as well. He thrived without AJ Brown last year. And I think with the weather cooperating, I think they're going to sling it out to him. And Washington's a nice team, but I think over four quarters, I think the Eagles pound them. I agree. I think this is a big start. People are going to start talking about the Eagles again on Monday. Yeah, after they win this game over Washington. Oh, remember them. Yeah, they're still a good team. And as much as everyone wants to fire Zirionny every year, I think the Eagles are one of
the two or three best teams in the NFC this year. So their defense is still really good. Yeah, a lot of player playmakers on defense for us. This game, of course, the line has gotten a little out of hand today, obviously, with the news of the quarterback situation. So the Falcons will be in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. Now this was for the last couple of weeks around three and a half, three, three and a half. Four went to a God hurt the other day. And then when the official word came today, Doug, that it will be Cooper Rush starting for the Falcons. We are now at Steelers minus six Sunday at one East 41 total. Yeah, I mean, we've been talking about it all week, frankly, all off season. How bad Atlanta is. And this number is now getting up to a tough number. It's six. That's a lot for a low total. Now the Falcons are going to be a heavy dose of B. John. And we'll see what Cooper Rush can do. Cooper's he's fine. Like he got a little too much praise the year that he filled in for DAC on that Sunday night against Minnesota.
I think it was in 2021. And really because that Cowboys team was really good. We forget that was like a 12 win Cowboys team. So he could get away with being a game manager. He's going to need to do a lot more here. It is helpful. He's getting a few days of practice, not just inserted mid game. I think six, I'd probably lay off, but this is my survivor pick for the most part. I think if you're in a pool, other than like your family, which, you know, let's say the pool is going to be won by like week five or so. If you need to go the full season, I think the Steelers are the player here. Teaser's money line Paralyze. I was. And also this Pittsburgh team is older. So you want to get them when they're fresh, right? I think Rogers will look crisp. Some of the defenders, you know, TJ Watts not hurt yet. So that's good. So I think the Steelers are a bullet you want to use. Yeah, you don't have to use everyone. You know, there's 30. There's eight. There's. Sorry. There's 18 teams, right? 18 weeks. So you just need 18 teams. So they don't have to be used.
But, you know, you're not going to want to use them in division because the whole division's good except for the Browns, but even at home against Cleveland, you got to be careful. But they, they occasionally, I was pissed. Only in the past couple years, I know when Big Ben was there, they always roasted him. It didn't matter. But since Big Ben's been gone, you know, the Browns have been getting a game or two off the Steelers here. Yeah. So it would be tricky. I'm looking right now. There isn't a spot where I would comfortably want to use the Steelers and survivor the rest of the season. No, no, there isn't. Obviously, things change. Guys get hurt, stuff like that. But as of now, no. So this is the one I'm with you. I was going to get your take at the end, but you're to say it now. This is the, I think this is the survivor play this week is going to be. Yeah, I mean, everything's not going to be pleasant. Like I think the Jaguar is going to be who knows Cleveland's got some good weapons too, right? You don't know about Watson and Jaguars, still the Jaguars. Next I'll give you a game that was getting some sneaky survivor consideration maybe for a little while, but not anymore.
I don't think dolphins raiders. They want to really roll the dice with the Raiders in week one at home against Miami. Well, I don't like a side here, per se, Doug, but I think that this game has potential to have to be like the sneaky smash over of the week. I really do at 40 and a half. I think you get two bad teams at the beginning of the season. I knew coaches, wrong bouts. I knew everything. Hourses out. I know that. I think that they can score on the dolphins. I think maybe Malik Willis runs around all over the place and maybe puts some points up. I think both teams can get into 20s. I love over 40 and a half in dolphins raiders. I think it can get some points. It's a crazy game. All right. There's no way I would bet the over because I think the dolphins are going to try to run a lot with Malik Willis. No bowers changes everything. I'm on the dog. I think you have to. I don't know if the Raiders will tackle them when they're running all over the place.
So that's true. I mean, is the Raiders defense looked horrible in the pre-season for what that's worth? But yeah, yeah. I just, it's a sneaky. I think, man, I like the over a lot in dolphins raiders. I just think too bad teams we might get it to get going. I have seen a lot of strong takes one side or the other on this game. Ravens Colts. Colts getting three and a half at home. Forty-eight to total. I am starting to buy in, Doug, on, you know, I was kind of saying you're before with Houston. Some of these home dogs are going to show up this week and maybe even win. The Colts were very good before Daniel Jones got hurt last year. This is a different Raven regime now with mint or is the head coach. I think he'll be very good, but it is still their first game together. Jones back. Jonathan Taylor. I think the Colts are in this and I want that extra hair. I like the three and a half with the Colts on Sunday. I'm going to take it. Yeah. So the verdict's out on Baltimore, right?
New coaching staff, new head coach, new coordinators, and it's a young quarter. Thirty-year-old OC who's never called plays before. Now, we all saw the video of them in the restaurant. It sounds like they liked Mint Er and all that. You can make a case, I think, for both sides. When that is the case, give me the home dog, especially the extra hook. I will say historically, three and a half point favorites do cover much more than three point favorites. So it's a strong three is basically what a three and a half is. Right. Right. For us there. And other than that, you know, home dog again, Panthers plus three against the Bears. The Lions are laying seven at home to the Saints. You have got the Jaguar's minus eight and a half against the Browns. And the Chargers are now nine, Doug, against the Cardinals. Yeah, there's been some steam here on the Cardinals. And I think it kind of makes sense. I mean, these are big numbers in the NFL, right? We have backdoor covers, everything. And Arizona's floor is higher with percent versus some other quarterback.
So it didn't surprise me. I mean, not only doesn't have a home field advantage, you know, it's just... I'm not betting it, but I understand the move. Touchdown time, Doug. For week one. Oh boy. Now, I'm going to wait a week to dive into like the other props. I want to see some things first before I start doing yardage and doing some other stuff. But I can't ever pass up touchdowns. I got three for you. Going Bucky Irving plus one 25 for the bucks. Like I said to you before, I think that buck bangle game could get some points. And I'm getting the guy who touches the rock the most on the bucks at a pretty good number for what could be a high scoring game. I'm going to go plus one 25 with Bucky. Touchdown number one. Touchdown number two. Even though I think the Packers might go into Minnesota and win, I think the Kevin O'Connell has made it his point for the last six weeks that he is going to have Kyler Murray throwing to Justin Jefferson. Early, often, and all day long. And I think that JJ, who had obviously you could tell he was super frustrated last year
with the quarterback situation. I think he's going to be looking for him in the end zone all day. Justin Jefferson plus one 48 to score touchdown for the Vikings. And I'll give you a deep shot. I've been pumping this guy up all camp. Odell Beckham Jr. plus 700. Wow. 750 at Bet Rivers to score Sunday night. Now look, I'm not in the Giants offensive play calling room, Doug. But if I was and Malik neighbors is officially questionable. And I think a lot of me wanting to play this, Doug, is I need neighbors out there because I want the attention on neighbors. I think if I'm the Giants and Beckham has been open in these preseason games, that place will explode if Beckham scores a touchdown on Sunday night, be in back in big blue. I'm almost looking for him and running place for him in the red zone to try to get him in the end zone. And at that price, Doug, and he's going to have a lot of snaps. I'm in. Let's go. OBJ a big price. I can't fault you.
You know, I don't know much about Dart, right? Well, they're figuring it out. Who knows? Gotta have some funsies in week one. I think that's a nice payout. That is a nice payout. He's going to be on the field and he's been getting open. So and even more so, like, what's that number going to be if neighbors doesn't play? It's 750 right now. I mean, that could go to three or four if neighbors is out. So I think it's good if you want to play the grab it today, just in case neighbors for whatever reason isn't in the game. I mean, I'd like to think he's going to play. He said it's up to him today when he talked to the media. And then he was officially listed as questionable. But I'm going to take a shot with a low BJ on Sunday. There it is, Doug. Week one. We're ready, baby. Let's get it on Sunday here on vetting weekly live. Of course, Monday we will have Broncos chiefs, right? Doug, Monday night football for us on Monday show. Right. We will have some props out for that on Monday.
All right. We have some baseball tonight as well. In fact, we have the businessman special at Riggly and oh, man. Cubs opened it up here, huh? Oh, yeah. Kevin to two. I haven't even gotten that many Homer notifications. Just Breggman, that was the only Homer I got. Not a good day. The Pirates defense has been atrocious. Like, I really like second baseman and short sucks going back and like the outfutors coming in and like they don't guy fell down. That a lot of guy to tag. They dropped it. It's just been pathetic. And early on it was a lot of seeing ice singles hit and run. You know, the grounder would have been a double play instead. It's a first and third things like that. But Imanaga settled down after giving up a run on the top of the first. Yeah. And Imanaga was one of the guys. I put a tweet out this morning, the three guys who have allowed the most homers in baseball this year all starting today. Imanaga, Jeffrey Springs and Aaron Nola, the top three home run providers,
the hitters all starting on the same day. Imanaga did give up one, I think. Well, at least the Pirates hit a home. Brian Reynolds hit a home run. I'm not sure if Imanaga was in or not when he did. But 12 to 2 now, Cubs leave the Pirates in the bottom of the seventh. Let's go to the rest of the slate. The Reds are in Milwaukee. This is Apple TV. Reds in Milwaukee against the Brewers and when they played last week in Cincinnati. Tonight you are going to get Andrew Abbott against Dustin May. Brewers are minus 182 and this is a flat eight. Well, the Brewers have been a bet on team. And that's all you can ask for. They've been really, really good in that regard. So I lean to the over though. This is not like, you know, I need probably your input from the weather center. Although, you know, Milwaukee stadium is very different. But I think the small ball works. They can break. I don't trust May. I think the Brewers can get to Abbott though. The Brewers have hammered Abbott. They hammered him last week. They hammer him in general.
Churrio hammers him. I mean, Churrio is two over one and a half total basis minus one oh six tonight. I know it's not the juicy prices we're used to dug. We like usually little plus money on the over one and a half total basis. But Churrio, Homerdoff, last week he's got a couple of homers off him in his career. It's, you know, it's Brewers or, or no, I know it's one eight. But it's Brewers or nothing. Whatever. Right. Maybe first five because I have it stinks. He just does. Abbott's not good. It's really the only thing. May is such a crap shoot. So I can't lay like half a run first five or anything like that. Right. That's the tough part is having May in there too on the other end. Apple TV also has a 1015 East the Padres and the Giants and Oracle. Robby Ray returns the face his old team. Molina goes for the Giants. Padres are minus one forty three. This is also an eight late night. I lean over here too. I mean, Robby Ray has been effective at times, but Molina is not amazing. I think the bad I think the Giants bats have been okay.
It all depends on how you feel about Molina. I think the Giants can get to him. Sorry. Yeah. And, you know, I think he's okay. I just I pot the says again. This has a gut. What was a gut play? I got play of the game getting away from them. I could see that tonight. Absolutely. Molina stinks. You know, he's not any good. You can see this one going up up up in a way. The Phillies and the Braves get together again. So they played a four game or last week in Philadelphia. No one draws any blood. They split the four games. Few days later, we're in the same place. In fact, a week ago, the Phillies were four games back. They're four games back heading into this series tonight. It will be Chris sale. For the Braves, it will be Aaron Nola, who has been. Very good. His last few starts going for the Phillies tonight. Braves are minus one eighty six. This total is a flat seven seven and a half now. I like the under here. I mean, Nola's been fantastic. I would bet Nola if I had to pick a side.
That's a big price for a guy who's really been has vented itself. I mean, we've been talking about maybe should be Braves team total unders. I like the top of this Phillies lineup. It's sales been great. I just like the under here. I think we're gonna have a low scoring game, but I don't like the bullpen for Phillies. So this would be have to be a first five. Well, I don't mind any of that, but I am gonna try to ask for one run in this game, Doug. And I asked for one run, scored by the Braves, and that by the long ball. All right, because there was just a lot of numbers today that just pointed to my guy, Ronald Acunia Jr. to go yard against the Phillies tonight. So first of all, he's obviously seen Nola a ton. 32 for 62, 333, four homers and seven doubles, off of Aaron Nola in his career. So he's beating up Nola pretty good. He hit two homers against the Phillies last weekend in the four game series in Philadelphia. Remember him taking the curtain call, Doug,
on the steps, sure I answered that, Homer. So he's got a little flair here with the Phillies. He's been hitting the ball hard. I know Nola's been good, but he still has given up 32 homers this year. I'm going to Acunia tonight to try to sweep the week here and go four for four plus four 30. Ronald Acunia Jr. my long golf for Friday night. Don't blame you. That's a big number for such a big bat. He's there's a lot to like there. I can certainly see it for sure. Too much past his. I mean, just all the numbers just, there's too much of it for me there. I had to play it. I had a couple of other options, but that is the one that I ultimately went and landed on. The Dodgers head east and no O'Tani now, Doug. As O'Tani goes on the I L, you know, look, and I know you're trying to do the math. Oh, he should be back before the end of the regular season, but I don't think he's been that great the last few weeks. Like I don't know if 10 days is going to be enough for him
to maybe quote unquote be himself by playoff time, but they're in Miami without him. They've called this kid up to make his major league debut. Also, it's Snell and Gusto tonight. Dodgers are minus 225 and a seven and a half. Yeah, I mean, Snell's been fantastic. He really has been, he's everything you could have wanted out of him, you know, after the injury. He's really just been so dominant and really bothered the heck out of opposing batter. I mean, he's really just, dummy. Look, it starts six shutout innings. One earned, zero, one, one. I mean, it's insane. He's as automatic as they come. So five, I would say first five minus a half, it's a little juicy, but how do you not play it, right? Like it's so, I mean, right, but again, the lineup's not great. Gusto's okay. The Marlins are a weird team. Like the bunch of guys you don't, I don't know, just tough to, I don't know. It's like they all can hit sort of the unexpected shot.
Or ball, you know, right. Yeah, um, but it's still, it's still probably the Dodgers. Like you said, first five, probably the best way to go about things, especially with snow being out there tonight. Red Sox are home for the Royals this weekend. Sonny Greg and Seth Lugo tonight. Red Sox a big number, minus two bills and an eight and a half at Fenway. Yeah, I mean, it's a pitching mismatch on paper with Sonny Greg and Seth Lugo. Now Lugo's been okay and this Royals lineup can actually hit the top of it. And Sonny Greg, I mean, he's just not the big name guy, right? I mean, his stats suggest he is, but I just get a little worried that he's just not that amazing. So I don't know, man, like I just can't lay it, that kind of price and everything. But I do think the Red Sox get the win. First five, I think is a better way to play it. Red, yeah, Red Sox tonight at home against the Royals.
We'll stay in the AL East, Orioles and Blue Jays in Toronto. The Basset Hound and Max Scherzer. Jays minus 125, man, Doug, the first one of the first things that jumped out to me this morning. Seven and a half seems very light for Scherzer and Basset. Very light. Yeah, I mean, you could just go team total with Baltimore, right? Right. You could do that too, but I think the Blue Jays could score off a Basset too. I think that you could get one side or the other. I think you could get a, you know, maybe even a first five over, we had a first five over at with these two guys on the mound. I'm thinking even bigger here, what do we got? First five, total over five and a half plus 148. First five over, he's two. I don't think either's good. I think both, and I know that the Blue Jays offense can get a little sleepy at times, but I kind of like
the over tonight, Doug. Anything for you. Okay. I'm going to have to show that. I would say Orioles team, you know, team total, something like that. Okay. I mean, Scherzer has no business, right? He's got no business whatsoever. Vintage Nola back for good to Farzass in the chat, Doug. Vintage Nola back for good. I don't know back for good. Find out tonight. Don't you think Nola's going to be in Acunia for show-boding last series? No, Steve. He's going to take him yard. Hopefully first at bat. We've actually, that's another thing we've been like. Feels like all these ones we've hit this week, Doug. Well, belly wasn't. Garcia was first at bat last night. Caminaro was first at bat on Tuesday. He could get these things early. We haven't even had to sweat some of these homers this week. Hopefully the same thing that I, right out of the gate. Cunia, yard. The Rockies are in Detroit. Adams involved as... Yon, yon, Doug. I'm just going to yon pass the Rockies and the Tigers unless you got something.
I don't think you do for that one, but that's a... No. Tigers should never be that big of a favor. It's but the Rockies are struggling. They really are. By the way, in the ninth they had bases chucked nobody out in the guy and there were some meatballs. They could have hammered, but they... Yeah, yeah. The Rockies are all... What a year, Cade Cavalli's having for the Nationals, right? 12-5 with a 3-1 and he's minus 152 against Cucucci and the Angels that I... Well, Cucci pitched well in the last game, so that gives me a little pause. First time back. Yeah. Hmm. Not running to the window either. I'm not. Cavalli's... I can't bet either team. I think the price is right. I think I do. Yes, indeed. It's going to be a super emotional night in Yankee Stadium and the Bronx. 25th anniversary of 9-11, Metz and Yankees will play each other this evening. Lots of pre-game stuff involving that. It'll be Carlos Rodón against Nolan McLean when they get to the baseball. Rodón minus 136.
Metz plus a buck 18, the total's a flat eight. Metz has been scoring a lot of runs lately, Doug. I mean, they scored a billion runs in Miami against the Marlins sweeping them. They've won six out of seven. Yeah. I think if there was going to be a game this weekend between these two where you saw a lot of runs, I think it's tonight. I think the pitching match... I don't know how old it's, Thornton's going tomorrow, but... Schliplers going Sunday for the Yankees. Cole tomorrow. I think if the Metz are going to get the Yankees, it's Rodón tonight. They're going to get him. I... Maybe. Or is this too cheap for the Yankees at 136 with the... For them? I think Rodón's looked pretty good. I'll never get on board with Rodón. I know. I think that's... Whatever you're not a fan. I hope he keeps proving to be wrong, Doug. I'll be perfectly fine with that if he does, but I just could never get on board with this guy. Right. Whatever reason.
And McLean's good. He's had a good year. You were the best. It's at a very nice year. You're right. I think if they get him, it's tonight. This would be the night maybe I would jump on them. Raise at home against the Astros. Obviously the Astros. They've been winning ball games. They're first in the ALS now. Raise or minus 167 with Rasmussen tonight. This is a flat eight. It seems like the Razer again. I mean, they did lose yesterday, but they won two out of three. The Razer kind of gets back to being the Razer a little bit, Doug. Right. And do you want to talk about that? Guardian's... It's all tough this time of year. You don't know who's got one foot out the door or whatever. Right. I know we've talked about that with the Reds a lot lately. They seem like they've got both feet out the door whenever we talk about the Reds or what the few teams have. Right. The Guardians and the twins, Taj Bradley and Parker Messick. These are two guys who have been real good, Doug. Sneaky under tonight in Minnesota with the Guardians and the twins. Well, we know Messick's been fantastic. Yeah. Bradley's been pretty good too.
Maybe his last start he was, but before that he was rolling. Right. Fitching very well for Minnesota. Right. Anthony Kay in Libertor for the White Sox and the Cardinals in St. Louis tonight. White Sox as a dog. Oh, but your guy's going. Your guy's going right. All right. Anthony Kay. You're not very, not a fan. Late night, two late night, Rangers and Diamondbacks, Merrill Kelly and Mackenzie Gore. Oh, that's just a gas can game here with a nine. A nine. Gas can game with the Ranger offense though. It's scoring a little bit. Seagr has been hot. It's Merrill Kelly. Oh, he didn't pitch well last two times out. I think his last two starts. He's been okay, but I still wouldn't want to back him. And then we have Sacramento. It always goes back to San Francisco. It always ends there. The Mariners and the A's.
Mariners minus 165 with George Kirby tonight. And our old friend Jeffrey Springs, who has allowed 32 homers this season. 33 actually 33 homers for Springs. And this total is a 10. Springs is two and nine with a 7.1 ERA at home this year. He has given up 21 of his 33 homers at home in Sacramento. Wow. Wow. That's tough. That's tough. A little little bonus homer tonight. Holyo Rodriguez plus 320. I think I think Jay Rodger was yard. You had a monster hit home or yesterday. Yeah, I think I'm going to go that that's old. I've had a good week dug with the homers. So I've built enough this week that I could go an extra homer today. Well, you're already guess plus three. In that one. This weekend. Is there anything that we should keep an eye on? Couple things caught my eye.
Boyd's pitching for cubbies. He's looked good. I think he's going for the pirates. I think schemes has been so shaky. This cub this Pittsburgh team. This defense was so but they're just pathetic and inept. I would think there's value on boy. Value on boy. And the brewers tomorrow. I mean, this team is dead set on making their run, you know. They have the huge pitching edge. And. I'd lay the one and have it's hair sitting in singer. I mean, there's only a couple bats in that red line up that concern me. Harrison's been fantastic. So yeah. Okay. So some things to watch for this weekend. In major league baseball for us. Of course, when you go on your bet rivers app. This weekend to check all of it out. Dugs on there every day. I'm on there every day. You get a small pole stolen Jimmy out on there. Given out some college plays for this weekend tennis crew with the US open. AM side the soccer. They have been on fire as well. They had great week with the champions league. You've got other things rolling this weekend for them. Make sure you go on and check out the bet rivers banter. For all of it. We've been so busy the last few days. I haven't really gotten asked you what's going on with this women's world cup. Is there anything of. Well, they had one nail bite against Italy there. One by two or three. But then they rolled their next game. So they're in the semi's. They're favored by twenty two and a half over Spain. I had to take a side. I take the dog. But France is looming in the championship game. France is a double digit favorite in the semi's. So France and US are each in the semi's big favorites. And I'm depending on what the spread is. I'm leaning France if they, you know, both advance. So when would the championship game be though? No idea. Okay.
Sunday maybe who knows? Okay. I would think. No, tomorrow is. Tomorrow is when they play. So maybe Monday or Tuesday. Okay. So we might be able to get that circle back to that as they said. Yeah. After the weekend. And I know we kind of skipped it yesterday and you didn't have anything anyway. Do you have anything on the U.S. Not a joke. The chocolate. Yeah. Listen to our final podcast, you know. Yes. Always for those guys. All right. It is time then for the best bets and the daily double. We are going for three in a row. Four out of five. As we have been getting into one of those groups here. I am going to go to what I, I told you when we were doing the baseball games. It's an over that. Number that just really didn't make a lot of sense to me with who was starting. Max Scherzer and the Basset Hound, Chris Basset in Toronto tonight, Orioles of the Blue Jays. I don't understand, seven and a half. I think that maybe both teams, I think one of these teams could explode on that one of those pictures.
I think both teams could explode. I'm going over seven and a half Orioles Blue Jays. I think we get a lot of runs up in Toronto tonight. All right. Go. Yeah. Who might get getting the way of a seven and a half with the Scherzer pitch? That's too enticing. I'm going to go parlay because otherwise the juice would be too high. So I like the Dodgers first five money line. I'm not laying a half because even laying a half would be too much for us. You're going to be like 145 or so. So I'm going to go an alt under in that sale Nola game. Nine and a half are favorite slider. You move that those together minus one 14. Now obviously there's a chance the Dodgers push and then the alt becomes a very, but it won't be a loss if we get that. So I think nine and a half some magic number because five four is still a winner. I think really sale just pitched face Philly. Now if one guy gets rocked and doesn't have it today, so be it. But I think it's better than doing like minus one and a half for the Dodgers in the first five.
I don't want to lay you need the Nolai to in the first five. I don't want to rely on their bullpen for the game. So I'd rather do this alt under because I feel confident in Nola and sale. One nothing braves within a Kuhn-ya Homer. There it is. I just gave you the gave everybody. Hey, that's called everybody wins, Doug. One nothing with the Kuhn-ya Homer. Everybody's happy and we will all go to the window. All right, so for tonight, Doug just had it together for you Dodgers first five money line with the alt under nine and a half in the Philly's and the braves. We're going to put that with mine, which is the Orioles and the Blue Jays over seven and a half tonight in Toronto. The best bets, the Daily Double Ed Bet Rivers for tonight, plus two fifty one. Stay in hot looking for three in a row and four out of five with the Daily Double. Let's go, Doug. We got inspired by the AM crew, be it not. There you go. I've hit my best bet every day this week. Let's finish the week strong. Now there's there was Labor Day. We have no show. So it's not a full five that I'm going for.
But I'm going for a four pack. Yes, that is and hey, I'm going for it. But I hit last Friday with Miami against Stanford. Right. Right. You did. Man, Miami last night. I know there was 70 plus points by the hurricane last night. That was unbelievable. And yes, the tennis is tonight Saturday, Sunday, Fiba, USA, who, 2 p.m. both days, Saturday, US Open Women's Final, 4 p.m. P.d. given us the schedule of all the sports. That's true. Doug, any thoughts on the Garcia Ben Carver is not interested in Garcia Ben in Vegas on Saturday night? I've seen Garcia won't shut up about it. That's for sure. Zero thoughts and zero interest. Sunday is the finals of Fiba Brad says Brad has been on top of this. He says the finals are Sunday in that. So there you go for everybody. Makes sense. Makes sense. Doug, I got to get through today first. And that's this daily double at plus 251 and the Acunia Homer and Rutgers going up to Boston
College. And the Eagles tonight. That's kind of I thought about Rutgers is the best bet. And notice I didn't do Missouri Moneyline as my second leg of the parlay. There's been some steam on that on the dog. Doug, enjoy our first NFL Sunday of 2020. Let's go have fun. I'm ready to go.
