Tate Brothers Denied Bail By Female Judge, Calling Them “Quintessential Flight Risks”
About this episode
Andrew and Tristan Tate will remain behind bars in a Florida prison while continuing to fight extradition to the UK where the self proclaimed misogynist brothers are facing nearly 60 charges of sex crimes. Romania just added additional charges agains the Tates late last week, including trafficking minors, sex with a minor, witness tampering and money laundering. Despite the growing number of charges, Tate’s attorney and the brothers themselves have been using social media to describe themselves as victims, claiming prosecutors don’t like their misogynistic message and fame.

Hey, the folks, it is Thursday, September 10th, and don't know much about the tape, brothers.
But flight risk reads. And with that, welcome to this episode of Ameon T.J. Roves. They are trying to get out of jail while they deal with an extradition fight. A judge seems to think letting them out, they might head directly to the airport. Yeah, on one of their multiple private jets, yachts, whatever. But these are brothers who have a lot of resources, and apparently a lot of passports and drivers licenses to boot. And yes, I love that the judge called them, quote, quintessential flight risks. Right, this is a... I mean, the judge wouldn't even let did it out. Exactly. This was actually a long time coming because a federal judge officially, yesterday, denied bail to Andrew and Tristan Tate, and said they must remain behind bars in that Miami prison while they continue to fight extradition to the United Kingdom,
where they are now facing nearly 60 charges of varying sex crimes. They don't ever want to go back to the UK. The stuff they are facing is some of the worst stuff of sexual assault, rape, drugging, videos, manipulation, sex trafficking, prostitution, child porn. It's unbelievable. Everything you could think of, that would be the most horrific crime imaginable. These two brothers are accused of... Help me with something here, babe. And I'm sorry, if I'm putting you on the spot. I'd have a struggle sometimes, distinguishing which one's Andrew and which one's Tristan. The older one is... Andrew. He's the one that wears the ball. Yes, he's the one who is the champion kickboxer. Now, Tristan also dabbled in kickboxing and fought, but he was not the star that Andrew was. Andrew was the guy who was on Big Brother in the UK. So, yes.
He kind of is more of the face of the two, but both of them. And Andrew has more charges against him than Tristan. Wait, tons, a couple thousand more, right? A lot more. Yes, but it's wrong of me to take some pleasure in the fact that the judge who ordered them to remain behind bars who denied their bail was a woman. It's just one of those little details, right? It made me smile. Her name is Judge Lauren Lewis. And yes, she said that the brothers failed to show they were not a flight risk or a danger to the community. And she came up with this ruling yesterday, as we mentioned, on Wednesday. But they had an eight-hour hearing last month and unprecedented hearing because they both spoke. These two men are not only denying all of the charges, but are very defiant about it. To the degree that it's actually a little shocking. Yes, they are being persecuted because of their fame and because of their political beliefs and because of their support for President Trump.
Yes, that is... Well, we've heard it all before. But here's one of my favorite parts because this reminded me of a trial we just watched. Dwayne Davis and his defense for the murder of Tupac Shakur. Remember what his defense was? It didn't work for me, though. Yeah, that he was just playing a role. And so, yes, part of the reason that prosecutors, not that they needed much, pleaded with the judge in this case to not let the tates go out on bond while they await extradition. Yeah, Andrew said online, he was bragging. He has seven passports and 15 drivers licenses. Well, this came up in the hearing and as attorney said, yeah, you know, those boys, they're just playing a role. They just say these things. They just be saying stuff to try and make themselves look cooler and batter to all their fans. I'm sorry, what? So, yes, when you say you have seven passports and 15 drivers licenses for the sole purpose of evading police and justice.
Oh, you're just bragging online. Just bragging. You're just playing a role for your people out there. That's all. None of this stuff was true. Yeah, it didn't work with Dwayne. Dwayne Davis's defense and it did not work with the Tate Brothers. The one with the list. Well, but get this. This was crazy to me. Prosecutors alleged that the Tate Brothers listened to it. Did you know this repeatedly sought the names of their accusers from prosecutors and they offered what they called a security fee. They literally offered prosecutors tens of thousands of pounds. If they would just give them the names of their accusers and there are seven accusers, I believe total, in the United Kingdom. And they promised that they would not publicly identify the accusers. Hmm, why would they want the names of their accusers? You just want to talk this out. Yeah. So the allegation obviously is that they are absolutely intent on interfering with witnesses. So why in God's name would you ever let them out? And just the brazenness of them offering money to prosecutors.
What are they in a, I know they're in the manosphere, but it sounds like they're in another stratosphere of reality. Those two places are the same. Yes, in fact, people have their opinions about what's masculinity and hypermasculine. But this goes to misogyny. This goes into a different level of not just look at what a man I am. Part of being a man is putting down women. Part of being a man is exerting your influence, your power over others. And so, hey, folks, believe that. That's fine. It does get into a dangerous realm here, Robes. And with them, some of the things they preach, it does feel like it's a completely different. It's not a reality. It's a different place, babe. They are dealing with some of the stuff they say. All this is happening. I got 60, we got 60 charges of sex trafficking and rape because they don't like our fame. It's actually, yes, you're right, that is another stratosphere of reality.
But in the real world, I do love that a woman exerted her power and said, y'all aren't getting out of prison at all. Now, there has been a lot of reaction on X because that's the only platform in which they weren't banned. But their attorney, and they, I mean, it's just, I always find it so jaw dropping that it's not just a denial of charges. But it's almost like, look at the injustice happening to us. It's like, take it to another extreme, but their attorney went on X and made this bold statement, detention first, evidence later, maybe. Andrew and Tristan Tate have been in federal detention since July 18th on a foreign accusation. The United Kingdom has not yet been required to support with a single piece of evidence. The United Kingdom's deadline is September 16th. Every burden in that courtroom falls on Andrew and Tristan. None of it falls on the government that Andrew and Tristan handed over to American citizens.
On American soil, order to prove a negative against a case that does not yet exist on paper. September 16th is coming. God bless. But they're really praying on this notion, and look, they are, as we pointed out, avid supporters of President Trump and certainly have aligned themselves with a lot of maga folks. And this whole idea that they're Americans, first of all, they're dual citizens, the United States and the United Kingdom. But to use this to kind of rally up patriotism surrounding these men, that they're being unjustly prosecuted by a foreign entity being held on American soil. And then, yeah, you've got this hashtag free, the Tate's movement. It's mind-boggling to me. It's a playbook that many are following. Now, we've seen this recently. I won't call her out, but the same type of situation where you turn yourself into the victim, to the martyr. Look at what they're doing to me because of what I believe.
No, it's because of the 15-year-old rape victim, right? A accuser, I should say. Yes, these folks are accused of raping teens. Yeah. So this is some really... 15-year-old awful stuff, brobes, that if people only see some of the flash and the cars and the social media presence, you might just be dismissive of these dudes, uber masculine stuff, and you dismiss, go do your thing. Brobes, this is not what we're talking about, folks. If you think men should be on top or number one and have control over women, you can think that kind of a thing that a woman should be subservient. This is not that debate. We are not arguing over their... Ideology. Oh, no. They are accused of heinous stuff over many, many, many years. Absolutely. And I find it so deeply disturbing and troubling that both of these brothers are allowed to have a presence on social media.
Yes, they've been banned on Instagram, they've been banned on Facebook, they've been banned on every other social media platform, but X. And I actually looked it up and I knew this, but you said it. But yes, obviously if you're incarcerated, you are not allowed to have access to social media. However, your lawyer, your loved ones, any advocacy group can absolutely maintain your online presence. And so, yes, Andrew Tate, via whatever his attorney, a friend, who knows, was able to actually tweet something out after this ruling. I find that just awful. Am I the only one who thinks that? I need to have a boy. I mean, these are innocent men based on our laws. They haven't been convicted of a damn thing. So we're supposed to always keep that in mind. Why shouldn't he? I mean, plenty of lawyers go out there on TV and defend their clients all the time, right? I guess that's true. So, of course, so Andrew Tate put this out within moments of the ruling that they were not going to be given bail.
I am being held inside this, it's SHU special housing unit because of my fame. I have mainstream media endlessly slandering me because of my message. I have politicians who use their time and parliament to beg for my extradition. I am innocent. Okay. He can believe that and defend that. I think that's fine. That's the beauty of the system, right? He has the right to do those things. The line there again, Rob, they're because of my what? Fame. And there was something about my idea. Because of my fame and slandering me because of my message. My message. Okay. That's just not it. No, it's just not it. That's fine. Does he really think he's a victim of some kind of persecution by the government? Yes. People don't like that. I'm a man. A man who exerts his right to be a man. Now Tristan, you want to hear what he had to say? I am not allowed fingernail clippers in here. So I am forced to bite my own nails off my hand and spit them into the toilet.
If iced detainees, illegals were housed as poorly as I am, a citizen. Democrats would be flooding the streets with torches in their hands. Do not worry about me though. God and the truth are on my side. I love you all. That was the... He... Somebody should check on him. He's not well. He's struggling. He's desperate to get something out to be... Rob, he... That sound like a really desperate man. Finger nails, spitting into thing and you want to come back to ice. It sounds... Nuts. Yes. I'm sorry, fellas. You got the right to defend yourselves. But when I... I just hate when people start turning... See what's happening to me? Democrats did it some kind of way. See what's happening to me? Illegal is already been treated like. We go to these... To the base, really, ropes. That's exactly what they're doing. To play to... And it has nothing. Dessviring people up and distracting people from what actually is going on. From what they're actually facing.
Yes. Yes, so when we come back, we're going to go over some of those charges just to give you the real reason why the Tate Brothers are behind bars right now. Hey everyone, it's the Jonas Brothers with the Hey Jonas Podcast. We've been catching up with some great friends Paul Rod, Michael Bubley, Seth Meyers, Nile Horan, Jake Shane... And making some new friends while getting into what's really like to have sisters. Like Alex Nassian Earl. She likes to control everyone and tell everyone to take care of her. Okay, well control is a harsh word. I would say that's a harsh word. I am more outspoken. Growing up a lot of the times because she was so quiet. I would speak for like the both of us. Now I'm working on like thinking a mom is really not a taking before I speak. And Joey King. You know if your like mom is yelling at your sibling and even if you're annoyed with your sibling, you just like won't let that slide. It's like you only can yell at your sibling. I'm like, you can't do that here. That is not what I want to talk about her like that. I just want to talk about her like that. Plus we've been taking your calls, listening to your voice mails and giving advice.
Or at least trying to. So if you've got catching up to do now is the perfect time. Listen to Hey Jonas on the iHeartReadyWap Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcast. Every week I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up without a doubt he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. They're stories about what it takes to make it out alive.

So it's literally physiological and neurological and psychological chaos happening all this end up. We got into group chats and gaming, friendship and bullying, and how to tell the difference between healthy monitoring and the kind of surveillance that a road's trust.

We are talking about the Tate Brothers a female judge just denied them bail while they await extra
tradition to the UK and look the UK has until September 16th to provide all of the evidence they claim to have and that should be wildly interesting because I would imagine they have a lot of it because these two brothers between the two of them are facing 59 charges in the United Kingdom alone. And rotate is facing 42 charges. Tristan Tate is facing 17 charges. All of these crimes were supposedly took place between 2010 and 2017 and by the way they didn't stop in 2017. They just moved to Romania and last week Romania just added more charges to what they're investigating. So when we say 60 charges that's just in the UK. Romania has dozens of charges against the brothers as well. So look they just to give you an idea. The Tates were previously charged with 21 counts of rape assault and sex trafficking as well as controlling prostitution but they got additional charges he'd done them last month.
So there's seven more counts of rape 15 counts of making distributing in decent images of children 4 counts of possession of extreme pornography. I didn't even know that was a charge not just pornography extreme pornography and then Tristan was charged with another six counts of rape sexual assault and sexual exploitation. So those numbers combined yes 59 counts seven victims and we the details I don't even want to get into but they are horrific and we are talking about young women and their playbook was yes love bomb these women make them feel special make them fall in love with you then convince them to do things that they didn't want to do extreme pornography in front of a webcam profit off of them and never give them a dime. Isn't that the word how they supposedly built their wealth they argue as they had online like these webcam porn that kind of stuff which obviously rose in many places is legal and as a whole industry out there not when you're underage that was the thing rose they traffic these women they trapped these women they raped these women they drug these women it was more they weren't just running a legit business they were running a business off the backs of women they were exploiting are all of these charges.
And Romanian prosecutors by the way I mentioned they added additional charges it was just last Friday September 4th but they moved to Romania because they thought the rules relax are there specifically to build this online porn business but look there the charges they're facing in Romania charges of forming an organized criminal group human trafficking trafficking of miners money laundering sex with the minor witness tampering and the way they describe this in Romania as they say the dates seduced their victims falsely claiming they wanted a relationship or marriage they they wild them with their yachts and their money and their fast cars and these women would fall in love with them and and fall under the trance of what they promised them and then force them into a life of porn and again these women many of them I say women they were young girls the younger the better and that was the problem but you know these two brothers
still have an unbelievable online following more than 10 million followers most of them boys and young men impressionable young men there are folks in the UK who claim that they can actually look at an uptick in violence against women in all sorts of areas schools etc directly linked to those young men's belief system in the tape brothers there look they have an online academy they had to change it from hustlers university to the real world but if you click on it these online universities still exist and it's all about promoting misogynistic and hyper masculine views and it's disturbing because it's not just what they have done to women it's the influence they are still exacting on millions of young men I think they specifically said the UK and Australia they have that's where a predominant amount of their followers live and that is so deeply concerning that these young men are literally being indoctrinated with this viewpoint and this idea that women are property women are forms of entertainment amusement but certainly under the control solely of the man
and it's just deeply disturbing they're behind bars and to think they're the way they think is having an impact on some girl or some woman's life somewhere because some dude in her life is under the influence of these guys and that's what's so concerning the fact that they're still able to through whatever means get on X and be able to speak and share and talk about what they think and what they feel and make themselves martyrs and I do believe if you're if you are a follower of them and they and you believe what they're telling you why wouldn't you believe that they're also being persecuted unfairly September 16 September 16 the only good news is so far the White House has said it will not intervene in the extradition case because the brothers were certainly hopeful they were absolutely hopeful but they still have the opportunity they say the Secretary of State that would be Marco Rubio he could stop the extradition if he so chooses and look we'll have to wait and see
defend that one let me hear that one to are they really going to say these are American citizens and despite whatever data that we will not stand by that one but September 16 September 16 so and I don't know when the judge when a decision is going to be made about their extradition but is that decision going to be made before the midterms seriously are you going to go out there and defend I know they got these 59 counts of sexual assault and trafficking and rape but we need to give them a fair shot like okay they have that rose that's can't wait Marco we'll see what comes next but for now the Tate Brothers are staying behind bars in that Miami jail and with that everyone we always appreciate you listening to us I'm Amy Robo alongside TJ Holmes we'll talk soon Hi this is Kylie breakman Angela Jaretana Jeremy Colhane Paschic McDonald and we're the hosts of the artists on artists on artists on artists on artists podcast
