There's football games kicking off almost as we speak. We've got a football games tonight Colorado Georgia Tech. We got a Missouri is going to beat the shit out somebody ill and always going to be shit out somebody. So we got we got some football. I'm here. I'm in my studio. We're going an hour early and I say an hour early. We really got to figure out what we're going to do as far as I'm almost thinking maybe Wednesday night would be a better night going for Saturday,
Monday, Wednesday, but I'll have to figure that out. We'll figure that out. This is all a kind of a learning experience as we go forward. How to best pace this thing and how to best do this thing soon as Jersey. What the fuck? So sooner, Jersey. I don't know what to tell you. It's Marcus to pre Jersey. He was Mississippi before Oklahoma ruined him. Baltimore ruined him. So that you guys kind of suck. But that's what I'm wearing. That's what I'm wearing. So here we go. Liam Blutman. Hi. Brown Walker. Hello. So happy to talk to you today. So it's week one. We're going to get into our categories are our game to watch of the week, our player to watch of the week, our under the radar game, our upset alert, our closure eyes, Liam Blutman, special of the week and Liam Blutman will be unveiling his playoff tonight. And if we have time, I will be unveiling my playoff tonight. We also, me and Blutman will open our year long competition of lease wins wins. We're going to draft five teams. And at the end of the year, the guy with the lease wins wins.
And that's how we're doing it. We'll have, we'll have those two things. We'll have the categories. Right now I can tell you that Liam Blutman's YouTube channel, the sister channel to this one, the brother channel, how's it work? Sister channel, right? It's sister, say sister channel, he'll have an interview with Notre Dame superstar probably, maybe the best player in college football, Leonard Moore. And then he'll also have 10 policy, the North Dakota state head coach. So you've got those two interviews going live tonight, correct? Correct. Very excited. Leonard Moore one is a bit shorter, all second bit longer. I think both of them are very good. Leonard Moore, one of the great characters in the sport. This show right here will include our categories. We'll have our, our, our lease team, lease wins wins game. And I'll have two interviews myself at the end of the show at the very end. We'll have Virginia quarterback, Pope, Probula, who looked impressive the other day after transferring from Penn State and Missouri. We'll talk to him for about 10 minutes. And one that I really, really, really, really like.
And I don't know if our audience is clash or for audiences overlap, if they do it anyway, if the, you know, 65 to 70,000 people who'll be watching this on YouTube, if the, you know, 50 to 60,000 who listen to this exclusively on podcast, if you guys don't know who Brooks Austin is, he is the film guy. He has his own YouTube empire over there. In fact, I was jealous today. I think he just put out an interview with Shane Gillis who was on our list for my guy to go out and get Shane Gillis and didn't happen. So one nothing, one nothing Brooks. But anyway, we have about an hour of ball talk with Brooks Austin. He's a, he's a YouTube. He's a cultural personality who leans heavily, heavily, heavily on his ability to watch film break it down and translate it to information for the layperson, such as myself. He's a better ball watcher than I. I am just the number one cultural media personality in the world. That guy knows what he's doing. Are you a big Brooks Austin guy? Again, I wish I watched more Brooks Austin.
If I did, I would be so much smarter than the idiot I am. So he did just call you out like five times on the call you out. I mean, he shouted you out. He shouted you out on the end. So we'll have that. That's about 49 minutes of that. All right. Let's get right to game one, our week one week zero happened last week. One is kicking off really much as we speak. Somebody says, uh, E X J says for Brooks Austin. He's an SEC shill. You dumb whiny, crybaby bitches say that about every single person in media, every single person in cultural media. You're like, he's an SEC shill. Why the fucking, fucking sand out of your vagina and shut the fuck up. Well, he's an SEC shill or he just talks about football. Turns out if you talk calls football, you're probably going to be a big 10 shill or SEC shill because they're the best conferences in the country with most of the great teams. Towel works. Towel fucking works. Don't be a bitch on my channel. Be a bitch on somebody. Go to go to pay. Go wind a pay. Let, uh, let him, uh, go, go crown his shoulder. All right. So here we go.
We've got, uh, the week one categories, the game of the week, the game to watch this week. I think it's easy. I am anxious to see Bloodman. If you change it or if you have one that isn't actually, I know what yours probably is because your team is playing in it. But mine is easily Ole Miss Louisville. I know LSU is playing, uh, LSU is opening the Lane Kiffin era with Clemson. That's fine. I don't know if Clemson's going to do their part to make that a great game. I do think Louisville's going to have something special in store for Ole Miss. Ole Miss starting the peak, golden era on paper Ole Miss has maybe the best quarterback in the country. Maybe the best running back in the country. Uh, the defense looks pretty good. But what if Louisville were to shock them to open the season? But what if, and what if Ole Miss look great? There's a bunch here. These are the two best teams showing up and playing each other on Saturday. That is my number one game to watch this week. Bloodman Watchers. I mean, right now it's UMass Rutgers. I'm having a blast watching Lawner, Ginn, Raymond and Duff.
Brian Walker at the end. I've never said that. Okay, continue. Okay, dude, Raymond and Duff's going to be a first round pick maybe whatever. By the end of the season, I might get an award that is better and more credible than the Nobel Peace Prize. And that is being the least biased personality in college football. My game of the week is Ole Miss Louisville. Don't over think it. That is the best game this week. That is the game that we cannot wait to watch at 630 Central on Sunday night, which is unfortunately in a crime against humanity, not a standalone game. A heinous crime. That should be standalone. We'll still watch Notre Dame Wisconsin at Lamba. But won't be with sound on you. You gave it all the right reasons. Ole Miss Louisville's must see television by far the spectacle of the week. Yeah, it really is. Now, let's do another one. Let's say we're going to be quick tonight. We're not going to bog down on these categories. We're not going to bog down on anything. We're just going to go. We're going to go fast. We're going to get the Brooks Austin. We're going to get the Broper Villa. We're going to get to all the little things that we're doing. The player to watch this week to me, it's pretty easy.
Now, there's a lot. A lot of players out there, a lot of old faces and new places. A lot of guys you won't see bounce back. A lot of this, a lot of that. Of course, Chambus against Louisville and then you got Lincoln Keenholds making his season debut there for Louisville. But to me, the number one debut, the number one guy I want to see in his new place is Sam Levin at LSU. I think we'll know early. I think we'll know quick. If he comes out and struggles or doesn't get the Lane Kiffin offense or doesn't really gel with his receivers, they could look vulnerable very, very quickly. I think you're going to know about Lane Kiffin's imprint on this team. Are they distracted by what's going on in the courts? I don't know, but I do know Sam Levin is the one I most anxious to see of all the players in this country. Who is your player to watch this week in? Well, it's going to be Sam. Love it. I'm a smart guy. A new you would go with him. Did you know Brandon Jacobs former New York Giants running back his son is the starring left tackle at Clemson? He's a six foot seven three hundred forty five pound by Heemith.
He's getting so much NFL love after his freshman season. That that's going to be my player to watch in death Valley. That environment. Everyone focused on Kiffin. I'll see you. I want to see what he does. And then a Sammy O'Macico at UCLA linebacker. The under the radar game of the week, but when you will go first Liberty at James Madison, Liberty sneaky terrible last week last year. Jamie Chad will needs to figure it out yet to get them. A four and a John Henderson versus probably CJ Evans and a quarterback matchup fun early game. And mine was of course Liberty and Jamie. You I'm changing it on the fly right now. I'm changing on the fly. And right now I'm going to say. It's Colorado Georgia Tech under the radar. I know they're on a Thursday night. They're starting a little bit, but like this is a game we were kind of excited for last year. As Georgia Tech was on the come up. They were on the rise at Haynes King, but it's a very well coached team. And they're not getting talked about a lot this year. You've got Mendoza. You got you got some things going on in Colorado. I'm just morbidly curious about like everything we saw in the offseason about the,
you know, the strength and conditioning program where we see the pictures and then nobody's got any arms. Nobody's got any legs and it's, it's just not impressive. Is the Dion experiment or Dion tenure, not experiment. The Dion tenure. Is it in trouble? Will it last past this year? Will they surprise people? I'm really just kind of anxious to see what we see out Georgia Tech in Colorado. It's like I have questions about both teams and we'll see tonight. My upset alert. I got one just almost based solely on vibes. I think I'll be the only person in the world that will mention this game for this reason. Blum and what is your upset alert? Now, upset alert is not picking a team to beat another team. An upset alert is identifying a spot where rank team or a highly favorite team better be fucking careful because everything is there for an up set. What would you say is upset alert? I've said with you a few times this week, it's north, the Western hosting South Coast State, the best team in the FCS. I don't understand how north Western is a two touchdown favorite in this game.
Is eight in child's good, Brandon? I just a strap question for you. Is a child's good? I don't think so. So maybe, but maybe, yeah, but maybe there are two touchdown favorite chase Mason, the South, the South, the co the quarterback has NFL eyes on him entering his senior season. There's a cool little narrative here with Griffin, will the former Jackrabbit receiver, who's the best player in Northwestern. And then I like landing the Laneian Jack Smith young wideouts for South Coast State. My upset alert is just based solely on vibes and vibes alone. I can't tell you and I'm just going to say, I can't tell you a single player on one of these teams, not a single one of them. Not even I can't even hazard a guess as to what a player's name would be on this team. But wouldn't it be Vanderbilt like if Vanderbilt goes 10 and 2 last year and gets to the edge of the playoff conversation. And, currently, he's a very good coach.
They have Diego, probably they get right up to the edge of the playoff and they miss it. And then you say, well, at least Vanderbilt's here now. Vanderbilt is here. Wouldn't it be like Vanderbilt to start the next season by like being in a, in a 1917 game with Austin P late in the fourth quarter? That just, it just, it's vibes only. Vibes only can't tell you. I got damn thing about Austin P. Don't even know, I don't know about Austin P. I don't know about Austin Poo, but I don't know about Austin anything. I don't know anything about Austin P. I'm just saying upset alert Vanderbilt. We're assuming you're going to be good, but I'm. That's, that's my upset alert. The Liam Blutman close your eyes and just get through it game of the week, which is the worst game of the entire week. Can I go first Liam? Please do. I was looking at big time spreads. And the thing that most of these big time spreads is they have a big time team attached to it.
They have a huge, you know, it's not surprising that say a, a Texas will be a 30 point favorite over Texas state is not surprising that Ohio State would be a huge favor. I did, it was not surprising that any of these big time teams are big favorites over the tomato can they're playing. What if I told you, what if I told you that the Louisiana Tech Bowl, which were 46 and a half point favorites this weekend? Who would you say they're playing? You're asking me who'd know. Yes. I'm actually, they play in Northwestern state perhaps. That's exactly who they're playing. They're playing the team that lost to Louisiana Christian last week. Louisiana Tech is coming into this season. I don't think anybody has these crazy wild high expectations of Louisiana Tech. They're 46 and a half point favorites because their opponent lost a fucking Louisiana Christian last week. Their opponent lost to a team whose coach was getting a cell phone calls on the sidelines from the pizza delivery guy. That is who Northwestern state lost to last week. And now they're 46 and a half point dogs to a lot tech.
Is there anybody outside of family and loved ones in Rustin Louisiana that want to watch this game? They want to watch anything involved with these two teams. I beg you. So now, Liam Blattman, what is your Liam Blattman more or close your eyes game of the week? What do you think it was? I knew who Louisiana Tech was playing off rip. Okay. Yeah, I guess maybe we need to make sure we have the different ones. That is the most do not ever put your eyes on this game of all the different that beat this for years. Yeah, that's a bad one. That's a bad one. Let me do an ad and then we'll we got Brooks Austin coming up. We got a Booper, Bula coming up. We got all that great stuff coming up. Why doesn't let's see. Why doesn't Mr. Mistake get sued for recruiting NFL players? Probably because they haven't, I guess. I don't know, I don't know the way you have. So rocket money.
Rocket money contracts subscriptions has the ability to cancel unwanted ones within the app with just a few tabs giving users an easy way to stop paying for things they don't use. There's automatic transaction categorization across accounts plus customizable categories and brand. I think you pulled up last episode's ads. Do you think I pulled up last episode's ad? I believe so. So you're saying I should have unfolded this one. This has BFW ads nine three. Yeah, that was your saying. Is that what you're saying to me? Believe so. Well, why didn't you give me the damn ads and put a paper clip on it and then put a note on there says Brandon Walker ads nine three. Why didn't you do that? Should have thought of that. You should have apologize. I'm sorry to you in the chat. That one's on me. It is because if you had put a paper clip, and a note on it said BFW ads nine three, I would have known these were the ads for nine three unbelievable.
Shame. Put me in the penalty box. Liam, are you ashamed of your brother? For those of us at some point, you just lose the capability of feeling shame. Yeah, you're really too. For the podcast listeners, that's exactly what happened. Lukey had given me a stack of papers with a note that said ads nine three. And I just looked right over him and picked up last shows at the weight is over. Football is here and so is draft Kings. Draft King Sports app is now live in all 50 states. All right, so Liam very quickly let's just let's just do this right now. Let's let's go through it. Five teams I'm going to pick you're going to pick before week one and at the end of the season. The team that has the least wins wins this competition. Would you like to go pick first or second and third? I'll take second and third.
All right, I will pick first and I will go new rule. Five teams. Three have to be power conference teams easy. I'm going to go with the UMass minute men as pick number one of teams that will win the least games of this year. Lookie put UMass on my side. That's pick one. Liam up and stay just at a 40 yard pass. That's great. That's great. Yeah, give me Kent State lowly Kent State and Southern Miss who lost everything in the divorce which are also. You took Kent State and Southern Miss give me give me. I'm going to do it. I said it earlier give me the Colorado Buffalo's and give me. Youngers to do. Now I will win tonight.
But I got give me Colorado and Rutgers to go along with my first pick of UMass. So I need one more power five team. You still need three power five team. Go. How sad is it how bad Rutgers is while having one of the best receivers and one of the best riding bags and football? It's almost the saddest. Nice. I'll take Stanford and Arkansas. Okay. I need one more power. this is to wrap it up for me. Give me Purdue. Hmm. And Purdue. Oh, you match touchdown. Give me, give me, give me Purdue. And you Elman row. Good picks. I'll close it with the. I love Kansas, which is really bad again. Just Kansas. Look, get rid of this guy spamming the chat. I want to read the chat and I want you guys to be part of this.
But I don't we're not spamming. We're not spamming. We're not doing this. We're not typing the same thing over and over and over again. It ruins everybody else's experience. I would like for you guys to be able to talk to me. I can talk to you. I would like for that to happen. But if you just show up and you your life is to spam the same thing over and over and over and over and over. Just get rid of them. I'm not doing that. You can go, go wherever you want to go. We're not doing that. So did we finish that draft? Yep, we did. I ended up with Rutgers, Colorado, UMass, U Elman row and Purdue and you ended up with who? I just realized that you took two teens that are one of them is guaranteed the wins. Yeah, I know, I know, I mean, it is where it is. Yeah, yeah, it is what Kent State Southern Miss, Arkansas, Stanford. Let me do a couple more ads and then we got a we got Brooks also. You got your playoff, right? Got my playoff. You do? I got my playoff too. If we have time, I'm going to do it.

Luki, can you pick a pick a chat or pick a, pick a question out of the chat and put it on the screen? Is that something you can possibly do? Yeah, I would need a second to pull it up. Okay. I'll just read it. How about this? Chat, I'm with you for the next five minutes. Let's give it a shot. You guys ask me in Blutman questions. We will go for you. We will answer the question. We'll see how well we do. Chat, you got five minutes. Blutman, you got your playoff ready? I got my playoff. Locked and loaded. Locked and loaded. Give me a playoff team. Number one. The Georgia Bulldogs. One seed. You know I got them when they're when they're all. Give me the 12 seed. North Dakota's stay. I've flipped from Memphis 10th. Yes. You early Saturday morning. Could LSU says Lena W 64 could LSU win by three touchdowns 100% yes they could. Ryan Garvey says first coach fired.
So let's let's explore that for a second. If my norville loses to SMU in embarrassing fashion, he's not the coach on Tuesday, right? So sad that they went into this season and that was always going to be a reality. It is, but I don't want to spoil a later segment. I think they beat SMU this week. Hmm. I think it's a dangerous spot for SMU. I didn't use them as upside alert because again, I'm going to use them for something else, but I think norville norville does even if they beat SMU, he can still be the first coach fired. He can still not make it out of course. Of course. I think I had him gang fired. All the way in November first after Clemson. Now I like this team to bounce back, but there's a world beamer doesn't get out of, there's a world beamer doesn't get out of October. So you know, or October, excuse me. Let's see, you know, Maryland, Laxley, I was that calm as sponsored by Bluetooth. Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Yeah. Let's see is dabbo on the hot seat this year. I truly believe dabbo lives his life above a hot seat.
I believe he lives alive. Especially now, I feel like people are coming around on dabbo is the anti everything wrong in college football, which I never thought I'd live to see. I really do think with with fans frustrations about this NFL thing, about the NIL thing, about the transfer role thing, like dabbo standing and kind of stout defiance. It doesn't do much for their win loss record and it does do much for short term Clemson, but he does kind of seem like a guy who's getting more favor publicly because of his stances on that stuff. Um, most underrated helmet in each conference. Wow. 1230. Most underrated helmet in each. I would say Auburn for the SEC. I think Auburn's a very strong helmet, but you wouldn't mention it with Florida or Texas or some of those. I think that one's a good one. I don't know how you how you quantify that because in the ACC, the best helmets are Florida state and Miami, but I think Louisville's got a strong helmet.
Uh, NC State's got a strong helmet thoughts. I'm thinking I tend to see maybe in the SEC. Yeah. Mississippi State using the interlock logos. A big deal. I like that. That's back. Jesus Christ. That's back. I'm just. Can Michigan State ever get back to being a winning program says Marcus Moss 8775? Yes. 100%. So, yes, Michigan can't, Michigan State can get back to being a winning program. All right. Um, let me, uh, be on use helmet underrated. There's a properly rated. I think it's properly rated. I don't think it's the sexiest thing. Now, they're overall as a uniform. They're, their uniform is probably underrated, but I don't think the helmet really does a whole lot for me. Uh, West Virginia has an underrated helmet. I don't mind. 100%. Somebody says Ole Miss powder blue doesn't get talked about enough. I think it gets over talked about. I think it's talked about way too much. There was a powder blueification in sports. Obviously, Ole Miss was ahead of that curve, but we've been powder blue to extreme levels
recently. New sponsor alert. We got a new sponsor alert. Can you sound the horn? Blum, it's sound the horn. Uh. What? That was a good or give me, give me a playoff team. And your playoff seed number 11. Oklahoma. Give me seed number two. Notre Dame. This episode is brought to you by IQ bar. Snack sponsor IQ bars are better for you. All right, so Blutman, your number one seed is Georgia, your number two seed is Notre Dame, your number three seed is who? Hyostate Buck eyes, your number four seed is who? Miami Hurricanes, your number five seed, please. Oregon, your number six seed, Texas Tech. Huh, so you've got Ohio State winning the, winning the Big Ten?
Yes. Your number seven seed Indiana. I don't, I haven't heard one that I'm like, oh, wow, what a surprise yet. I don't know. That's comes. Yeah. Number eight seed LSU. Nine Washington. That's quite a surprise. And the number 10 Kansas State and the three surprises will be Washington, K state, North Dakota state. I, I almost think a G five representative just feels like a surprise no matter who you mentioned, like you say Memphis or it just feels. Yeah. So you almost get a free one with your G five representative, although you are picking a team that is just now starting at this level. So that would be quite the accomplishment for those guys. Why Kansas State? Why Kansas State? I really think again, it happens with any big 12 team. The schedule is super gettable. I know that there's some injuries on the offense line by really playing a lot. Trust and faith into calling client to extract all the talent possible out of every
Johnson and see this team has a real bounce back candidate this year. Get the ball rolling early and never look back. Still like the defense. I don't see why they can't win 10, 10 games. Have a close loss in the conference championship and make the playoff on the back end. I just think a lot of the SEC is going to be each other up like Texas, Texas A&M, Ole Miss. I don't see any of them getting it. Yeah. No, I think it's a very, very, very crowded field. Somebody said, somebody in the chat said, why is everybody believe in LSU when his lane Kiffin not fucked it up last year? Last year when the team he put together was in the final four. It's pretty, pretty easy. Brandon, what do you think about when Tennessee goes 75 is hypothyred? Sean McDonald, 4140. And I believe if I'm not mistaken, is he traveling for the boys? He's hanging out in here asking Tennessee leading Tennessee questions because he's now about a slaubering Homer. I got fun.
He's asking, or saying Brandon needs to talk about the chance of hypothyred being fired. So I'm going to say that's him. So here's the thing. We work at a company with media professionals. And I often make fun of some cost wall fans that just cannot separate their fandom from their emotions, from their intelligence. They're all one and the same. Your intelligence should be above your emotions, which should be above your fandom. But we have an Alabama fan who works on our TikTok who only who lives drinks, eats, breeds, Auburn and Tennessee failing. It's not even about Alabama succeeding. He only wants Tennessee to fail. Constable ball is truly where you're where your passions outweigh your intelligence. And travel you for the boys is a great example of that. Tate is a great example of that. Trying to think of somebody else. Those two for sure, Gino might be an example of that. But not on their level, not on their level.
Gino seems like he's a level head of guys. So your playoff Gino says he's watched Lord Drew Mess the maker tape. Then some of the coaches on Oklahoma state, the soft seas. You you. All right. So your playoff, you just gave me the 12 teams. Did you go all the way with it? Or did you just give me the 12 teams? I didn't go all the way with the ice. I have Georgia wing and national championship. I'm not even sure against who yet. I I tweeted that I forget. All right. Here's my play. Well, all right. Yeah, look. Okay. All right. So we actually don't have time to release my playoff today. We will release my playoff on Monday show being told that on Labor Day, we'll release my playoff. Don't have time. I don't think this has anything to do with the me getting three playoff teams out of 12 last year. But I don't I unfortunately do not have my college football playoff predictions right now handy. I apologize to the good people of Shaboygan. I apologize to the staff writers of Roseanne.
And I apologize to you, the viewer. I'm just sorry. I don't have it. All right. So we will be back here Saturday nights. We will be doing our K out weekly chaos show at the end of the night, probably 10 o'clock. Usually when the big time primetime ABC ESPN game goes off, we will go live. I think we'll be live probably for a couple of hours doing all this stuff. So that's Saturday night will be our big show of the week. Follow by our Monday show and our Thursday show. Maybe we'll go Wednesday. I don't know. I'm still I'm still playing with the format still playing with it. I would like to announce this based on podcast listens and YouTube views right now over last year when it was still in this year. Roughness shout out to all my friends that did that with me. I was with Casey Smith seven years, but Brandon Walker football show up 80% year over year as far as every metric as far as YouTube views and podcasts listens. The numbers are very good. We're averaging a belief 70,000 people every single time we put out a YouTube video. That's fantastic. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you. But now the season starts. So I want to get bigger. I want to get better. I want to do all these things. All the interviews. If you ever see an interview you want me to do please text me or not text me tweet me. Do all do all that. Let me know. I want it to be a show that I listen to you guys. That's why I do the chat. The chat has a lot of people that just want to be assholes, but it has 80% of people who just want to talk ball and just come up and and do that stuff. So that's why I like to read the chat. I like to read the chat every time we're doing streams because I just like to interact. I think it's the best way to do this job. And if you're willing to interact with me and not be a fucking dick bag, it can be fun. So here we go. Every Saturday night we're going to be live. And but right now we have anything to say before we bring in this interview. I don't got anything to say except Brooks Austin won the best in the base. He really is. If you've never seen Brooks Austin, he is a ball-nower to the extreme. He's fantastic. Check him out. He's not me. I'm always going to be the number one cost wall media personality in the world.
Despite people having more views and more successful and more money. I'm still number one. Anyway, I got Brooks Austin coming on the show after that I got Bo Purbula. I got him from Virginia. So I got an interview with that. But I'm going to go right now to my interview with the film guy Brooks Austin. All right, film time, film guy time. Let me tell you something. I don't respect a lot of people in this business because most of them suck. They really, really do. There's a lot of people in cost football media that you can tell. Don't even really want to be here. They're just kind of here. And that's been a plague and cost ball for a long time. And but I do think there's just new generation. Pat certainly is somebody that loves it. I love it. You know, and this guy, I respect this guy as a ball-nower. This is a ball-nower supreme that I bring on right here. In fact, he's got it right there on his damn screen. Says ball-nower. It's Brooks Austin, the film guy. Got the film guy network going on over there every night from eight to 10. Just always out there always doing some intriguing stuff. And now he's on the show to talk a little ball with a sweatsup Brooks.
You're right, man. I do feel very blessed and lucky to do this. Hell, like most people that are in media, they used to do something else outside of this and dreamed to have a microphone. Dude, I worked in construction the first five years I got out of college football. And I was like, no, I'm not doing this the rest of my life. And then maintained working in construction for the first three years of doing this little media journey because I was making pennies and dimes. So yeah, I love my job. And I know you do too. You're so passionate about what you do. And how could you not be if you're not? Go find something else to do. Go pack boxes, man. Like this is this is a dream for sure. Yeah, go play Andrew Murrow's brother. So it's Brooks Austin. He's the film guy now. You know, we were texting last night and we were going to set up and we're in a very exciting point of the year because Saturday opens the entire floodgates and Saturday might not look that great on paper as far as matchups, but it's still a full day of college football. So we're going to be excited. You said I can talk about how drunk I am on Camario Taylor hype.
Now I'm a Mississippi state fan. So I'm not going to subject people to that right now. But let's let's take that idea and expand it to the rest of the country. Who are some other players that you're just you're just drunk on? You're just like, I can't get enough of this player. I can't get enough of getting to watch this player this year. Who is a Camario Taylor like guy that you can't wait to see? Yeah. I mean, the world guy introduced the JKS out there at Cal last year. We're going to get to see them against UCLA Saturday night in the sick goes matchup. They're at 10 30 Eastern. That kid can flat out rip the football. It's more than like I've never seen lefties that don't have funky spin. You know, like everybody that's ever listened to a football coach says that lefty ball spins a little bit different and it does. It tilts on an opposite axle. The most right handed quarterbacks. But having seen him throw the ball in person somehow. It doesn't tilt funny. It has a natural true spin to it. And he makes NFL throws left and right. I mean, Brian Harcind got absolutely crapped on during his time at Auburn. I thought he did a relatively decent job last year as an offensive coordinator.
But I'm slap hammered on that one. Now what I had to go through like rehab processes with Lenora sellers. Sure. I'm not going to lie to you. Mike Shula did that to me. I'm off the wagon on sellers, by the way. I'm completely I'm completely I've I've picked the bottle back up. I'm so too. I'm like, David. Oh, yeah. Last year, last year, so many of us look foolish coming the year with our top 10 quarterback list. And then you know, Nuss Meyer doesn't do well and Clubman doesn't do well. And Aller doesn't do well and Lagway doesn't do well. And we all had him up there. But there's something about sellers man where I just look at him like he's too talented to be mediocre two years in a row. So I got the sellers bottle in my hand. I'm sitting on the front porch and watching traffic go by and I'm just like, let me drink this thing because I know it's going to taste good. I think it all it took for me was Kendall Briles. And look, I think what we should have realized last year is if you would have set me down and like, Hey, Brooks, are you sure about this? Like dude, the new office of coordinator hasn't called offensive place since 2016.
And by the way, he's never called them in college. I would have probably been like, all right, maybe I do need to put down the sauce a little bit, but no, that all it took for me was Kendall Briles. And I'm like, all right, I'm back off the wagon. Let's go. I'm here for the one North train because he's just so Uber talented, man. He's all like, he's a lot of the same reasons I love Camario. Not as a pure and beautiful of a passer and throw over the footballers as Camario, but because it is kind of, it is from the ear, man. He looks like a catcher back there, but he's built like a damn catcher too. He's six three to 46 and built like a brick shit house. So I'm back on the one North train and my loved ones are concerned. Don't get me wrong. They're like, Hey, we kind of liked you when you were sober, but yeah, I'm back on the one North train. There's other guys that are coming into power for football like by one brown at Auburn. I go back and forth on him. I go back and forth on him because I'm just not sure. I the main thing I think about with him is did they bring in enough big time
power for offensive talent to help him and to make this offense has been such a mess. I lost Cam Coleman. I know the defense is bringing back a pretty good chunk there at Auburn, but I don't know if I can get all the way where a lot of other people are like, Byron Brown is going to tear it up at Auburn. The SEC 16 teams this year. How many teams think they have a really good quarterback? 14 of them. Like, like, there's, there's, there's going to be some disappointed fan bases as far as quarterbacks go in this league. And I don't know. What do you think about Auburn? And what do you think about Byron Brown transitioning to this level? Yes. So I think the physicals will translate, right? Like they're going to translate when he inevitably becomes a tight end or gets asked to be a tight end in Sunday football, right? Six foot four and a half, 235 pounds. And it's, it's one thing to be like, Hey, he's a four, four runner in shorts and a t shirt. Nowadays, like we have GPS metrics. We know exactly how fast you are in pads on a Saturday. And that kid, I think pop 23 miles an hour on the catapult last year in pads. Like some, some of somebody that's that big, that fast, that athletic, you, that's going to be a, a Neso B to tackle no matter what.
So from a running game standpoint, he'll be fine. That will translate. But yeah, I mean, everybody knows everybody can see it. It doesn't take some ball nowhere to look at video that got throwing the football and go, oh, yeah, that looks like it. That looks like it hurts, man. But I will say this going back and watching their USF stuff, particularly against SEC opponents, you know, they are a wide choice system. But I think they use the screen game way better than all these other guys. They, they, they have traditional half-back screens. They have tunnel screens, bubble screens. And that's like really hard to do when we're lined up outside the numbers. But I think that's goalish. It's kind of trick. And maybe he's figured that out because of, you know, the limitations that Byron has as a thrower, but they will be able to run the football as all these wide choice systems do. Tennessee's been top three in the SEC since. Hyples been there. Your folks down there, Mississippi State run the football despite the fact that they're down in a lot of football games over the last couple of years. They can still run the down ball. And Auburn will be able to run the football this year. It's just about like, hey, are we going to be too limited of a thrower to be
able to score enough points in this conference when they got into those SEC, you know, battles last year at USF in the last several years. They really shrink the game, which is like opposite of what these normal wide choice systems do. They're trying to take 80 snaps of football game. I think they took 65 offensive snaps against Florida last year. I don't know if you're going to be able to do that weekend and week out, even with DJ Dirk and as a defensive coordinator, I think you're going to go into some games where it's like, all right, boys, like we got a score 35 points today and we can't do it. Milk and the clock and slow and things down. We got to play a little bit more pace, which ultimately might lead to a little bit more mistakes. But no, physically he'll be fine. I don't know what we're going to see from a throwing stamp. Well, you're right about this, the, the skill position players. I think they brought over four of their top five receivers from USF. And it's like, I know the quarterbacks big and fast, but our USF wide receiver is going to be able to get separation in this conference. That that'll be a major question. Can Bryce Underwood, let me ask you a different way.
Can, uh, winning Hammond staff reclaim Bryce Underwood and putting back on the path to unlocking that five star potential that made him this huge gigantic recruit? Um, and can they undo a year of basically some of the worst coaching you'll ever see for a freshman quarterback have? Can Bryce Underwood be restored and, and be put back on a path to where he was, where he should be going? You know, I released a film study on him and, and basically titled it like they got to start from ground zero. Yeah, that's what I started all the way over. And I immediately started getting, you know, text message and phone calls from people at the Michigan era or Michigan realm. And they're like, Hey, that's kind of exactly what they're going to do. They're going to, you know, build them from the blocks up. And I'm like, that's, that's great to hear. Um, he was coached horribly last year, but was he coached at all? You know what I mean? Like some of those bad, he wasn't right? That that obviously lead the witness there. When coached at all, he had no quarterbacks coach, according to winning Hamm and just developed bad habits that I think he entered college with.
A lot of these five star quarterbacks. It's why I'm so high on Keyland because he's the antithesis of this. A lot of these five star quarterbacks on high school are just getting by off traits. They're just out there running around doing whatever the hell they want because their arm can fix it. And it's like, Hey, I'm, I'm going to have my feet parallel to the line of scrimmage and watch me rip this dart. And it's like, that's cool. That's awesome. You're not going to be able to do that on a consistent level in college. And it sucked for him last year because he was still doing a lot of these bad things and getting away with a lot of it. There's a play that there's a play in the cheese bowl, Brandon, where his, his hips are completely pointed to the sideline. And he throws a damn 45 yard laser beam to the back pile on. And he, you know, he does one of those types of celebrations after the play. It's like, cool. I'm glad you got away with that one. But every fifth ball might be an interception and three of the five might just go, God knows where. It's awesome. We did it once. Can you continue to repeat it? Those are things I would imagine back in this offensive system are probably
going to be grinding hard on. I'm just bouncing all over the country. Just kind of following you because you mentioned Keelan Russell. There's a thought process that, Oh, now Kaelin to Boer's got his guy. Watch this five star. You know, Russell is just going to go right in there. Now he's got his guy. My issue with that and, and I'm sure you got the film. I'm sure you love the guy quarterback one, the issue. Quarterback wasn't the issue at Alabama. Toughness was the issue. The lack of, of, of classic Alabama football when they laid down against Florida state and they laid down in the playoff game against Indiana. So convince me that the, that this quarterback can overcome that or, or, or maybe I'm, am I making too much of the toughness issue and I should shut the fuck up. You don't have to cuss like me, but that's fine. No, I mean, I was wondering. Honestly, I didn't watch it, but I'm sure Pete made you like not swear. I was, I was impressed. You went an hour there, apparently without dropping a fuck. Did you do that? Were you able to, I did. I, and I, and I hated it the whole time. I hated myself. The chair have a shock feature on you.
Like how did that work? Was that, you're just disciplined? No, no, I actually had a butt plug in the whole time. And I was, it was shocked me if I said, no, I, I, I just, you know, what? I'm trying to do a face turn as well. I'm trying to do this thing where I don't cuss as much. That do have some dads being like, I'd like to listen to you in my car. So my kid can listen. No, they're probably lying and don't even have a car and don't even have a kid. But whatever, trying to do a face turn, trying to be a little bit better. But sometimes, you know, especially on these Saturday night shows, I'm going to be doing the recaps. I'm going to let it fly and I got to be a, but you got to do you. Killing Russell, but ball about. Yeah, back, back to that Alabama thing. That does toughness just look like for you. Like when I think of like, oh, tough bully football, like, are they going to be a inside zone, run at your face football team? I don't think that's what they ever want to be. I don't think that's what K one to bore is. I don't think that's what Ryan Grub was if you are is. If you watch them at Washington, there are a wide zone counter base football team. Like they're trying to stretch the ball and then get north and south. And I think that's why it took so long for them to be able to run the football.
And there's still questions about it, right? Like we go into 2026 with tremendous amounts of questions about the offensive line. But they did throw new bodies at that brand and like they had a player person, Elpool that did not match what they were trying to do schematically or what they want to be schematically. I can tell you this right now, I don't think Ryan Grub and K one to bore ever ran duo, which is a downhill run scheme during their times at Washington. They get to Alabama and their left tackles 395 pounds when he gets to camp. And then it's like, hey, we got to start losing some weight here. And the only guy they brought over with them from an offensive line standpoint that match what they want to do is Parker Brails for the center, tremendous athlete. You look at that roster, this offseason, they churned it over not just from a player person else standpoint, but they changed the coach to brought in seven new offensive linemen that are all athletic based, you know, attrition or acquisitions. They're all guys that are really good athletes. Their profile said that they can move. We'll see if that ultimately works out.
But I think it took a couple of years to kind of turn that roster over and get players that they actually want to have run their types of schemes. So I'm a little bit more bullish that they're going to be able to run the football slightly better. And based off the fact that it simply cannot be much worse. When I turn them on on Sunday night slash year, half the time I would just throw my notebook down and go, what the f**k are we doing? How do we not, how do we not put hats on hats? Right? I don't have to be super football guru guy to explain this to the audience. The five offensive linemen should block five people at least at least they should get five hats on five hats, especially in past protection. And they couldn't do that. They couldn't do the basic minimums last year. And I at least appreciate about Kaylon, something he did something that Steve Sarkeja did not do. He fired off its line coach. He watched that crap for 14 games and was like, you're out of here, bud. I'm bringing in a new guy and brought in Andrew Klim, the NFL offensive line coach and
at least changed that up. Texas did not. Texas is rolling with Kyle Flood for $1.8 million for the third straight year. So or however many years he's been there. So let's see. Kyle Flood to the coaches that don't make as much money as me. So this is where I'm at on Alabama. I'm just going to make a statement on Alabama that I move on. It's when you're in your 30 years coach in the first two, you already lost the toughness on the offensive and defensive lines. Those that really bothers me as a trend. I don't need you to talk about more Alabama. That's kind of me and my thing. I got to get through with them because you know, the skill talents there and there's stuff there to like, but I just, I don't like him at all. Now two quarter, two quarterbacks Julian saying Dante Moore to me, they both had the same problem. And it's the problem. Most quarterbacks going to have because of the very nature of what I'm about to say. Dante Moore was at his worst against the elite defenses when he, when they played Indiana both times, he wasn't all that good when they played, when they played Iowa last year on the road and when played Penn State on the road, he just wasn't that good.
Now he had moments in both of those games where he led drives that were very important. Julian saying the same way. He has worse games against Indiana as worse games against the best defenses. So my criticism, both those guys as they try to lead their team show national title is they really weren't good against elite competition. Do you think that's a fair criticism Dante Moore and of Julian saying or is that just, is that just duh? Everybody's worse against elite competition. A little bit of duh, but I'll start with Julian saying like when I watch the Indiana Big Ten Championship game and then watch the Miami game, I'm like, well, we talk a lot about scar tissue at the quarterback position on our channel, Brandon to like issues that get created over the year and then we watch the final game and it's like, why are you bailing out of clean pockets? And they're like, well, coach, I haven't had a clean pocket all year, right? Like I got a huge scar in my playing style that has been created because we have issues. Well with him, what would Julian saying in Ohio State, those were fresh wounds, those weren't scar tissue things. They had the same amount of combined sacks in that Miami and Indiana game, 10 that they
had all year entering those two football games. Yeah. They allowed 10 sacks. So it was like brand new to him being on his back, having to create with his legs, having to make NFL past resters miss and then get flat, chemise downfield and continue to hunt the defense. Like that was brand new to that football player in his first year as a starting quarterback. So I look at that and I, yes, I want more. And I think Ryan Dave and talked about that this off season. It's like, hey, what do you want to see from your quarterback? Well, I want to see us be able to play outside of structure a little bit more. I want to see him make us right when everyone's wrong type stuff, right? Like, I own 100% agree with coach and the film said that, but when you look at those games, you're like, this is brand new to this kid. He's been sitting pretty in pockets all year and now it's like everything's blown up, everything's chaos. They also sustained, I believe Ohio State fans will definitely correct us. I believe they sustained an injury at right guard during the Michigan game and then had to had a brand new starter in the big 10 championship game and a brand new starter right there against Miami.
So I would agree there. It definitely has to get better. I do like that Julian's gotten bigger. He at least control what he can control from a horsepower standpoint. Well, that kid's never going to be six four. He's never going to be 230 pounds. He's never going to run a four or five, but at least he did put on 10 to 15 pounds. A lot of these college kids nowadays that make all this money branded. They don't get any better. Yeah. They know they physically they do not get better. All the improvements come from playing time. I need you to handle some of this stuff in the weight room. So I always appreciate that. The only thing I will say about Dante is like you mentioned the big time throws. He has more NFL throws on tape than anybody else. Like tight window anticipatory throws against zone structures. Like that dude has big time throws, but the things that concern me about him is locked onto pre snap reads way too much in a world of college football where we change a lot of the looks pre snap and post snap on defense. So like prime example that that first interception against Indiana. I mean, from the moment he takes the ball, Daniel Apons knows he's throwing that speed
out. He's staring at right down and we end up picking that football off. He had a very similar interception against J.M. You'd nobody remembers it because they were beating the hell up out of them. But we're staring down a square in on our on our short side to our left side. And we completely missed the fact that a linebacker drops into the hook curl zone there. We hit him right in the face from J.M. You and they end up taking it back and I think inside the red zone. So those things and we can get really, really lacks the days of goal with our mechanics up there at Oregon with Dante where we've been God's gift to throwing the football for a long time. But even that like we can not very similar to the Bryce under with things, but he's so gifted that he knows he can get away with things and five to six times a game. He doesn't and the ball just doesn't zip out of his hands like it does every other rep for this kid. So those would be moments of growth and areas of growth I would expect from Dante. Feel like there's a universally accepted tier of seven elite teams this year.
You can have some varying mileage on teams after that, like A&M, Oklahoma and stuff like that. Those seven teams, I believe are Georgia and Texas out of the SEC, Indiana, Ohio State Oregon out of the big 10 Notre Dame in Miami. I feel like that is a universally accepted elite tier of seven teams. I'll get to some more later, but using those seven as the elite tier right now, if I told you I'm guaranteeing you one of these teams falls short of expectations and does not make the playoff. Who do you think I would be talking about? Who do you think that'll be the team we talked about in January is the team that did not live up to expectations and did not make the playoff? Man, I've been hard on Sark all off season, but it has to be them right. I think it like it has to be like there's not, but at this point, Brandon and I'm okay with being hated. Maybe not as much as you, but at this point, Texas fans are ready to punch me in the mouth when they see me. But yeah, I also don't like all the lip service from him this off season. Like the guy, like prime example, two days ago, he was like crossing his arms, talking about
how immoral this NFL stuff is and it's like, buddy, you got Cole Hudson on your roster. Yeah. You at you at and I know Cole Hudson, Texas fans. I know he did not sign an NFL contract. I'm well aware he did not answer his name and then it fell draft, but he still had an NFL jersey on him. He still went to multiple OTAs. He still tried to be an NFL football player and just wasn't good enough to be one. And I also know he maintained his students ship status and was still in class. But I mean, news slash all these guys stay as students, even when they go to the league, when they leave early, it's why we got these guys coming back two years into their NFL career, walking across the stage, getting their diploma. That is not the line of demarcation. A lot of demarcation for me is you tried the thing with the NFL. That should be done. That's at least my opinion on this whole nonsense. But no, the Steve Sarkiesian lip service this off season has confused me quite a bit. He's constantly sticking his foot in his mouth.
And we haven't gotten over that hump enough to be out here while in at the mindset of microphone in my opinion. So there's also the reality of Ohio State and Texas, like one of them teams is going to lose that game. That means in week two, you're going to be one in one. And both of those teams are looking uphill at a schedule that is nasty as L.O. I don't state still has to go to Indiana after that. They still have to go to USC after that. They still got Oregon coming in. And Texas still has a mile of highway in front of them. So what a week. I don't know that we talk about it enough. Like one of those teams is really going to be behind the eight ball. We saw Texas last year. They lost it. Now they won his good last year. Is there going to be this year and that's fair. And they also lost the Florida. I don't think they have a roster that would lose to a Florida this year. But like the cheese can slide off the cracker pretty easily for one of those teams. Now I'm just going all around the country right now. I watched Kurtzignetti in Indiana. There's certainly one of the seven national title contenders that I mentioned. But they're adding Josh Hoover and Josh Hoover is a turnover prone quarterback who at
least in his career so far has has been responsible for a lot of turnover. Signetty seems like coach. It don't play that shit. I think you're going to make a lot of mistakes. You're not going to fucking play for me. And that's what he seems like. Is this marriage? Does it have a chance to be volatile? Or do you think signetty fixes this problem? And it doesn't become an issue. I think the offensive scheme fixes the problem. Look, Kendall's great when he had Kendall brows. That is great when he has a quarterback that can actually run the football. Right. You go back to those KJ Jefferson years at Arkansas. All the way back 10, 12, 15 years ago to the RG three days at Baylor. Like when they have an athlete back there that can run around a little bit. Their offense is far more explosive and far more turnover prone. When they have almost like a statue-esque non-athletic pocket passer. That system turns into air raid. And air raid can go real, real south from a turnover standpoint really quickly. Ball, ball, ball, ball, ball. Yeah, especially if we feel like we might have to score 40 today to go win a football game and we're going to be driving the football down the field.
Then we're going to have to take risk with the ball in order to win. Whereas you look at the NDN offense and there's no secrets about it. Dan Orlowski was the national voice to kind of pull the mask off that offense during the NFL draft talking about Ty Simpson over Fernando. And his whole reasoning behind that was Fernando doesn't plan an NFL system. Fernando's out here at Indiana doing an RPOs of his 30 dropbacks of game. And the rest of its mesh or stick and it's like very basic progression reads where the NFL is far from that. The NFL is like we're going to be progressive passer on almost every dropback we have apart from screenwork at the line of scrimmage. So I think the offensive system alone probably alleviates a lot of this. Also, you're big on the Indiana train I've heard lately. Indiana is not one of these offense that offenses or you know, football teams that tries to stretch the math. They're actually trying to shrink it. They play. That ideal football game is 60 offensive snaps. They don't want to take 75 80 snaps of football games.
So we're going to limit the amount of times that we actually put this kid in a position to put the ball at risk with that RPO offense limiting time or mastering time of possession, shrinking the game, all that good stuff. And just out executing your butt left and right. So I think it has far more to do with what we're going to ask the quarterback to do as opposed to oh, he had 52 total turnovers at during his time at T.C. or whatever the hell's stat is. So they don't ask these guys to do all that much other than be accurate with the football and put the shoulders put the ball in the back shoulder in an RPO format and news flash. He going to be able to do that. Well, also he can probably honestly struggle a little bit. The defense is going to be holding the other team to 11 12 points of game and like probably getting through some early struggles. But anyway, week one, let's do a little week one. Let's do a little week one activity. Let's take two random games, both ranked matchups or not fully ranked, but you got Clemson at LSU. You got Louisville Ole Miss on a neutral site. If I guarantee you right now, one of those, one of those highly ranked SEC teams is not surviving
this weekend. One of them is going down to their ACC opponent, which one would you say is more likely to do that? I mean, I know Jack Diddle about Lincoln conoles, but I probably take Louisville to be Ole Miss over Clemson over LSU and one's a neutral site game, one's in Death Valley, the true death Valley. So it's really not a fair comparison in my opinion, but I'm a Jeff Brown believer. I wouldn't say I'm like pounding the table for Jeff Brown. It's like a top five football coach in college football, but he does a whole lot more with a whole lot less as opposed to some of these football coaches. Some of these football coaches have $45 million rosters and turn out nine and three. This guy ain't going to do that. And I think it's going to be really hard to get him out of there if I know that this is all the motto. But that guy does a lot offensively that is very intriguing and they're consistently good. I was like double taking the television screen last year in the month of November when
I'm watching a Louisville game and they have a trivia question about what football coaches won the most games in the ACC over the last three years. Everybody's thinking dabbo, Swini or Mario, Christopher, the answer was Jeff Brown. So this guy wins football games. I would not be surprised if Louisville finds a way to win that one. My only thing about Louisville is like, can we figure out a way to get our best player, a true workload without him getting hurt? And that's the form of Isaac Brown. Last year, Isaac Brown did not have a single football game with more than 16 attempts. You ain't, I don't know if you're going to be old miss on Saturday with that. He might need to be able to get a full workload here. Almost that Jeremiah love treatment without the secondary great back in today or a jadeirin price like we need you to take 20 totes today, bud. If we're going to win. So I would take Louisville over Ole Miss before I took Clemson over LSU. Do you have any other week one game? You know, it's not a great week one. It's not a week one that's got a Texas Ohio stator that has anything, anything like that.
Like Oklahoma, Michigan, they're all in week two. Do you have any other game on week one that nobody's got circle that you're like, you know, we better get some eyeballs on this. Something might happen here. We already mentioned the UCLA Cal game. I think that one's going to be very intriguing, especially a game for the sickos that are up till two o'clock in the morning on the first weekend of college football watching that one. Georgia Tech, Colorado maybe. Like that one's tomorrow. That one's, I think during the, you released this on Thursday. That one's on Thursday night. But I expect, those are two really down bad rosters this year. I mean, I know Georgia Tech's been up and I know Brent Key is the guy and that's his school and he's a culture of toughness and all that good stuff. But go look at that roster and tell me if you know a name, Brandon. I do it better. Liam is the ultimate knower of ball players. Go ask Liam Blutman if he knows anybody on that Georgia Tech roster apart from Windows is little brother. And the answer will probably be, oh, I remember just the chains.
Yeah. And then that's about it. The only problem is Liam, just the majors in random guys that are from nowhere's real Virginia and he will be able to pot. He will know the backup left guard for Georgia Tech, but he'll only know it for the sake of knowing it. So, so you're fair enough on that. I guess I'm going to do it. I wasn't going to rip the bandaid off. Give me a little Camario Taylor, man. Give me a little. Come on. Preach to me. Sing to me. Let me, let me, but imagine I'm in a concert. The lights are off and you're about to play free bird and I just take my lighter out right now. Give me a little. Come on. Yeah, let's, let's cut a clip right quick. Let's or a farm for Brandon Walker. Um, Camario Taylor is the freakiest and tracious athlete to ever play quarterback in the wide choice offense. Yeah. My false. You look this, you, you go back into a, you go back to UCF when they got Dylan Gabriel back there. That dude's five foot 10. You can swing a little bit, but he ain't this. You're looking by himself. You looking by the brown.
You're like, man, that guy's a great athlete. Guess what? Camario is Annie can throw the football. Look at this. Um, six foot four, 235 pounds runs like a deer. Can stop on a dime. Can make every single throw in the world. And here's what I love most, Brandon Walker. Not just his loyalty, but that young man's work ethic. You watched him in high school football. He didn't throw a football like this. He did not look like this as a true thrower of the football. No, I mean, I'm not. When you're talking to your ex, it was, it was ugly, man. It didn't look pretty. Now it looks pretty. How do we get there through a copious amounts of work through copious amounts of work? This kid is where I break your heart. This kid will be absolutely legendary this year. And if he's not, it's because everybody else surrounded him was pissed poor and he'll be in the transfer portal making eight million dollars in January. Why? Why did you do that? I was just telling you to preach and I was, you know what you just did?
You know what you just did? You were preaching and I was in the choir and I was swaying and I was saying, yeah, I preach. And then at the end, you said, and it doesn't really matter because you're going to hell anyway. But why would you tell me that? Why would you tease me with heaven just to say my ass is going to hell. Hey, look, eight and four could be some holy water. And you'll take it, buddy. You'll take that. Angels are singing it eight and four, buddy. Angels are singing it. I do think this kid could be that good though. We'll find out week two of the gets Minnesota, but I do think this kid could be that good that he drags that Mississippi State roster to a seven or eight win season. I'm, I'm caching the over no matter what, but it does it happen. If it doesn't happen, my Amy's going to give that kid nine million dollars. Stop saying my name. Stop doing this. Okay. Does that mind nightmare? Yes. Fine. Stop saying it. Stop saying it. Also that roster's a little bit better. Kelly Jones is a first round pick. Isaac Smith is a is a is a all SEC type safety.
Fluff, Bob Well can run the football like there's more. There's more there than your acting like there's there. You heard of here first, folks. The die hard Mississippi State fan just gave me three players, two of which were defenders to talk about how much help Camaro Taylor has. You didn't even give me Anthony Evans. No, I was out. I was slow playing, but I was speaking to him. You made me a speech. You're out of me. What's you into saying, Anthony? Have a do you ever think about that? Well played. Okay. Fair enough. All right. I felt like I was talking to pay there a little bit. You wanted to get a gotcha. So bad that you forgot that you were making. Okay. Anyway, by the way, that ball, no assigned. Do you sell those or that just is that just made especially for you? Yeah. There's a lot of stuff around here that was made by listeners that gets sent in. So you have you you have coaches that send you helmets. I have listeners that send me love. That's what we got going on. This Buffalo is actually a live photograph shot in the wild by listener. He sent me that sucker. This is a 3D printed ball. No, or that was sent to me by listener. This is a graphic on a poster that was sent to me by listeners.
So yeah, we got old. The whole wall was done by a listener as well. So we got a lot of cool stuff. I get plenty of stuff sent by listeners. I had some listeners the other day sent me. I think it was written in blood. It was I guess before them University, it said F you. And I was like, dude, this is awesome. So I have a Fordham University in blood with my picture on it. So pretty good. Pretty damn good. Let me tell you something before I go any further. Liam Blutman is the ultimate ball watcher in America. I am the number one cultural media personality, but didn't use this motherfucker right here in those balls. Dude, this I could sit here and listen to you talk ball all fucking days. So shout out to you. Congratulations on all your success. I'm not done, but I was just I just want to make sure I said all that before I keep going. Couple more questions and then I'll let you get out of here. I know your time is half as valuable as mine. So who have we not talked about yet? Who have we not gotten to around this country that is going to be okay, I gave you the seven
teams. I gave you the Miami, the Notre Dame. I gave you Indiana, Oregon, Ohio State. I gave you Georgia, Texas as the seven teams. I think on the lead national title. Who is who did I not mention that should be on that list? Well, I don't think it's Texas tech. I don't think it's anybody out of the big 12 shot up to the Houston Cougars. Yeah, sneak sneaky like them, huh? Oh, dude, Willie Fritz, a damn ball coach, bro. I agree. Ball coach. And they got some they got some money somewhere. I they got Shadrary Hurst. That's the name you need to know. An absolute dog of an interior offensive lineman. You tell me about a clip farmer. That dude puts folks on their backs for four quarters. Go watch that Ole Miss football game and just look at number 52, the fire hydrant of a left guard. They're going to be good this year. They're going to be tough to be always really good defensively. I thought Austin Armstrong got a bad rap out there at Florida during his time as a DC. But no, I don't think it's going to be the fourth best team in the big 10.
I do think there is a gap right there. So I would look at a football team like Oklahoma, just because you mentioned Indiana last year, right? Indiana defensively was absolutely insane. They were a slabber knocker. They could have scored 26 points per game offensively last year and still went 16 and 0. I think Oklahoma is that defensively. The problem is last year they couldn't consistently score 26 offensive points per game. This year I do think there is going to be a little bit more of consistency on the offensive end. I don't think they're going to be so one dimensional and explosive dependent, which is what they turned into last year. They couldn't run the football. They couldn't protect their quarterback at a high enough rate. And John Matier was sitting back there going, all right, well, I got to be a superhero today. And that's probably the worst case scenario for him because it's ultimately going to lead to a lot of turnover, worthy play. So brought in two brand new tight ends that actually played tight in had three freshman play on the offensive line last year that are going to be NFL football players.
Fassusi, Eddie Peer, Louis, and I always forget the right guard's name. It's something crazy and funky. Despite the fact that my brain can remember Fassusi. But I guess it just sounds cool. My question is there would be like, are you explosive enough and good enough at the Y receiver position outside of Isaiah Satanga? But I would look at them because defensively and Brandon, I'm interested in your take on this. I do think we're in a defensive arrow football that nobody really talks about. I agree. You look at those 21 and 22 Georgia teams. They were defensive lead football teams. We know what Michigan was in 23 that 24 Ohio State defense was elite. And last year, you know, Indiana was a borderline historic, despite the fact that they finished second in Proco-Helibault in total defense behind that Ohio State team. But we're in a defensive arrow football. And I think Oklahoma is that on the defense side of football. You like in them to Indiana and that's a good comparison. I like in them to last year's Miami team. In the sense that this schedule for Oklahoma, I don't think it allows them to go 12 and
over 11 and one. But if they can get to that 10 and two level, the thing get to 10 and two. And get like the night through 12 seed. Remember last year when Miami went 10 and two, they snuck into the playoff. And then once they got to the playoff, they just started absolutely wrecking people at the line of scrimmage. Just rec Texas A&M, rect Ohio State, absolutely were destroying people. That I believe is the recipe for Oklahoma. Survive the regular season with 10 wins. Get to the playoff and just start throwing that defense around. Knock and dicks in the dirt and all of a sudden you're playing for a national championship. Who I compare them to because I think the path is very similar. I like that. They don't have, I don't think they have the elite edge rushers, but David, David Stone's going to wreck football games this year. No doubt for sure. Yeah, they're just going to, they're just going to, they're going to be like going up against a brick wall. They're not going to be like, they're not going to be a defensive that absolutely attacks you like with the missiles coming off the edge, but it's going to be, you're going to get tired of just banging up against that thing, banging up against that thing. All of a sudden, you're in the third quarter, you're down seven and you just have no hope.
And that's what I feel like Oklahoma feels like now that is contentional. Everything you said, they got to be the receivers have to come along because the schedule is brutal. And scheduling is the one, I know you break down everything in college football scheduling. I believe is the last ignored frontier where we just don't give it as much credit as we need to because since the 12 team playoff started six teams have gotten there based solely on their schedule. Like I think a and m last year was a schedule team. They played for they played the playoff because their schedule is easy. Indiana the first year played in the playoff because their schedule is easy. SMU that year Tennessee that year. So I look at that and I think we have a lot more schedule balance across this country. Can you look in the big 10 Oregon Indiana Ohio State, USA. There's just a magical mix of those teams playing this year. And I don't think we have, I don't know if we're going to have any schedule pretenders outside of a Penn State makes a run. Oh, there you go. Yeah. I think Penn State's definitely got the schedule. But I don't, I don't know if I can fully get there with them.
I maybe talk me into it because I know they only have three really tough looking games on their schedule. But like they're, their Iowa state was some Penn State mixed in. I don't see that. I don't see that as a recipe for, for just dominating the other nine teams on their schedule. Somebody can get them, right? For sure. I am a Rocco Beck believer. I think he's far, he's a far better thrower of the football that people realize, but he just, he turns it over too many times and big football game. So everybody just backs away on that immediately. But when I turned his tape on, I was like, whoa, that ball jumps much better, much better thrower of the football than people give him credit for. But I'm with you. It's hard for me to look at a team that if you look at their, their 2D, their, their, their starting lineup is filled. Their 22 starters is like 19 of them were on Iowa state last year. They were fine. They were seven and five fine in the big 12. That's like, yeah, come on. I'm with you in that, from that standpoint, it's like, I don't necessarily believe in
them, but they have an absolute crap show of a schedule. And that's what happens when we have three and a half, four and a half, depending on the year, good big 10 teams, a great big 10 teams. And a conference that has 18 teams and they randomized the schedule. Like you're, you're going to get the luck of the draw in these some of these times. And that's the situation that's where we're at. Well, you know, Texas, Texas got the 77th right schedule in the sport and roster disparity in that conference that is unmatched by anybody in football. I mean, they have so much more resources than everybody else in our conference. You know this, your listeners know this. I agreed. I got a couple of questions. Number one, did you wear that shirt to suck up to Blutman today? No, I wore it to suck up to Bob Chesney because good Lord, that man is handsome. Okay. Fair enough. Yeah, but shout out to Blutman. I figured I had a couple of options to rock today. I figured I have a rule. You send it.
I wear it except for your merch. I don't know if I'm rock and brand and walk or football show stuff. Well, it's because you haven't seen the shirt I'm working on, but I'll text it to you. You know what? Fuck you. No, I want you to see this. I haven't shown it to anybody else. I'm showing this to anybody else. It's going to take me just a second to pull it up here. Can't wait to leak it onto the time. No, don't leak it. Don't leak it because when you see this, I don't want to overreact. You're going to shit your pants on camera where the fuck is our group chat, Lukey? Is it a cartoon train? Why don't you just settle down for a second? Why don't you settle down and let me send you the damn thing. There's the BWC. I'm seeing it for you show. I figured I figured you copy everything that God does. He wants to copy his merch. When have I ever fucking copied Josh Payt? Now you tell me that. When have I copied Josh Payt? I had the brand and Walker calls for ball show when he was still doing his goddamn leak kick that nobody liked. And then he changed his to Josh Payt, show. When have I ever copied him? Look, tremendous amount of respect for you, but in your announcement that you are going
to do this, you basically said, I see Josh Payt's success and I want to copy him. That didn't say copy. I said, I wanted to basically, I'm paraphrasing you basically. You guys understand in the viewers viewpoint. It's kind of what we heard, but it's okay. I'm copying him too. I see what he wants and I want the mountain top. I'm just going to dock your fucking phone number. That's what I'm about to do. I'm going to dock your fucking phone number. All right. Here we go. You ready? I'm ready. Yeah. You tell me if I goddamn it. Old man. Old man is, old man in his phone. Where is our group? Shut up. Shut up. I'm not copying anybody. I'm not. Time out. The time. Give me 20 struggles with phone and shout out clouds. We're, we're, we're, we're keeping it. Give me, give me 20. You can't clip my show. Who told you you could hook up?
You could clip my shows. You're right. You're right. That's on me. I don't care if you could clip my show. I'm tired, boss. I'm tired, I'm tired, boss. That's why I feel like with this phone, I'm tired, boss. All right. Here we go. What's your name? Brooks Austin, more commonly known as the film guy. Probably you can subscribe on the film guy network at any moment. Yeah. You're welcome for that. A lot of fun day through Thursdays, 8 o'clock, 10 o'clock. I want you to look at this. I've got it. It's loaded. There. Now you tell me if I have just designed the best piece of merch in college football. It's not bad. You're goddamn right. It's not bad. It's not bad. We'll have to show that to the audience too. Some time here in the future. I'll send you one of those. How about that? You told me you started this whole digression by saying I would never wear your merch. Now I'm going to ask you, would you ever wear my merch? I mean, the front of it is a little milk toast, but that's okay.
Everyone shows up for the back, right? I'm a fan of this. I certainly do. I'll just do my show like this. I'm a 47 year old white guy from West Point, Mississippi. Milk toast is what I'm aiming for. All right. Let me ask you a quick question. You're the film guy. What's your process like? Let's get in your head. There will be 80, 75, Division I football games this Saturday. Yeah. You can't watch them all. You can't break them all down on film. So what's your process? Did you show up the Sunday after a day of football? How do you, how do you do it? How do you break it all down? Yeah. Obviously take the biggest games of the week. Things that I know people are going to watch. Things that I know people are interested in. And then I combine that with things that I'm interested in. But from an actual film process standpoint, I don't have PFF. I don't have the fancy cut ups. Like I have base old school stock all 22. I have, if they take 75 plays on offense and 67 plays on defense, I got played number one through 75. And I sit there with my little iPad and I go play by play and I chart and I take notes
and I grind that shit out. My app that I have for film branding and I'm not patting myself on the back, but I am. My app tracks as much, how much film I'm watching throughout the week. Last year during college football season, I was watching 36 hours of film from Sunday morning until Wednesday afternoon and then starting it all over again come the next week. So yeah, we grind a lot of tape or are we saying is shut up and grind the tape, but that's the way I do it. I don't know how to do it any other way. It's my little niche and it's what I feel like I do best personally from an education standpoint. So that's my process. What do people I know? What are people interested in? What am I interested in? Sit down, put it on the projector and go to work. That's the only way I know how to do it. And what I said was, I have been doing, I've been doing a podcast with multiple other people about cost of all for seven years with Casey Smith. God bless her. Great friend of mine. T-Bob was on it last year, blood man, big up. And what I said was, I see Josh paid out there with one camera, one mic and it's just
him talking about it and he gets to say whatever he wants. He doesn't have to hear anybody else talk. That's what I wanted and that's what I'm doing. So you know what the gravy train for you guys out there is our over because Brandon Walker is on the scene by himself. So, so fuck these holes around here. Okay. So that's what I got to say about that. Copy nobody. I'm Brandon, fucking Walker. Whew. That a boy. I'm so glad. I can also have a lot of football seasons back. I can also hear a lot of 90s wrestling in you too. You just, you just cut a little heel tape. That's nice. That's nice. My entire career is a little heel tape. All right. How do we want to wrap this up? So, so week one is here. I'll just let you take it anywhere. The 2000, so this is going to be as generic as it can be. So you, you got to do bring a little talent here to the, the four and show me what you got. The 2026 college football season will be known as the season of what? A nine and three team making it, from the SEC making it over a 10 and two Penn State. That is what we will be irate about in December.
Nine and three Texas, nine and three Texas will get into the college football playoff over a 10 and two Penn State and people's heads will explode and they will blame ESPN all about archmaning. And this is only because of the manning family. That's right there. I'm telling you all this guy's a fucking dude. That's such a pointed and perfect prediction because that 10 and two Penn State team will be so fraudulent and that nine and three teams going to have been through so many wars. But I'll say this before I go the SEC doesn't have enough oxygen in the room to support all these teams that think they're going 93 or better. Georgia thinks they're going to the playoff. Texas thinks they're going to playoff and them thinks they're going to playoff. Well, Miss thinks they're going to play off Alabama thinks they're going to play off Oklahoma thinks they're going to play off and I'm missing a very obvious one. There's at least seven that LSU, the LSU tires. Thank you LSU. All seven of those teams believe right now there's nothing standing between them in the playoff. Guess what? There's seven of them teams and then there's another five or six that have the capability of beaten any of those seven.
So somebody's getting fired that we don't know somebody. The bottoms fall out for somebody, Brooks. This is about to be a crazy three months. Most likely. Yep. No doubt. We're in an era of SEC football where everybody can pay and it's all about crowdsourcing passing the hat, getting our roster up to a talent level and a spending level that we believe is competitive, which creates a lot of false hope because we spend a lot of money, which means we got a good football team and we demand that we make a playoff and not everybody can go. Only about four of you can. Right. There's about seven of them that think this is our year. So you've already, you made the mistake of telling me your set is crowdsourced. I will be sending you a nude picture of myself. Maybe just topless, but that if that is not on your set in the next three months, we have an official issue. I mean, I'm ready to have an issue if you won't one. Okay. I didn't exactly scare him. Listen, this guy knows what the fuck he's doing.
This guy is awesome. The film guy is Brooks Austin. You guys, if you watch my show, I'm sure you know who he is, but I want to give him even more of an endorsement than that. This guy is the fucking truth. So thank you for doing it. Hopefully a couple more times during the season. We'll do it again. No doubt. Bewalk. Shout out to Blumman. We'll see you. All right. Thanks. All right. So we interview the most important people in college football because I am the number one media personality in college football and I was as impressed as anybody with Virginia the other day, but transfer a quarterback from Missouri and Penn State. He's with us now. It's Bob Rabula. Guy was everywhere Saturday only through it 11 times because he told me before I'm only going to throw it 11 times. So do just just just watch this. Anyway, but what's up, man? How was Saturday? What's up? Thanks for having me. It was great. The atmosphere in Charlottesville was awesome. Team came to play and just, you know, happy that we're one and off the week one. I think this is a perpetually underrated team. I think they were underrated last year. They won 11 games. Then they add you. You know, what's going on in Charlottesville right now?
Why is everything so hot over there? You know, I think I think it all starts with Coach E in his culture and kind of what he's built here in his vision for UVA kind of when he took over a couple years ago, it definitely wasn't what it is right now. And it's just kind of been on an upper trajectory, you know, since he's gotten here and that all starts with kind of what he believes in in his core values. And that's it's building champion men, you know, you want to win football games, but it's not doing it the right way and building, you know, a program from the ground up. You know, you've done the transfer thing a couple of times now when you, when you were going out there looking at your options and knowing that you had one more year to do this thing, what were you considering and why was it Coach Elliott that there was the one that sold you on his vision? I think what I just told you is far as his culture and what he does, but also sitting down, you know, with the offensive coordinator, Coach Kitsch here and my quarterback coach coach Lam, and kind of, you know, watching film and seeing what what their offense is like and how that, you know, how we would fit into each other's schemes and kind of, you know,
what I do best and what fits me. And I think one of the best things about working with Coach Kitsch is that he kind of, you know, builds off of what I've ran in the past and things have been comfortable with and what kind of fits my skill set. And I think that that's been huge so far. I know you, you can run the football and you, the other day it was incredible. You're just running all over NC State, but the idiots online and, and we'll say, oh, yeah, he can run it but he can't throw it. And to that, I say, yeah, he can definitely throw it. What do you say to those idiots? Yeah, I mean, nothing externally really kind of affects me at all. I don't, I don't read any of that stuff. I don't, you know, I don't look into any of that stuff. So it doesn't really kind of impact, impact me internally. I read everything externally. If somebody says something about me online, I see it in seconds. You're, you're, you're, you're, you're a better man than I am. That's your job though. That's your job to read that stuff. Yeah. You probably knew you were a better man before you even came here. Have you considered, I'm sure you have, but let me ask you this.
You started your career, Penn State, coached by James Franklin. Now you're a Virginia. He's a Virginia tech. You guys are going to end the season as arch rivals looking across the field from each other. If you consider what that's going to feel like. I mean, that's definitely, you know, one of the games on our schedule last game of the year. It's a big one for us, but for right now, I mean, it's on to on a week two for us. You know, it's, I know that last year of Virginia 1-11 games play for a conference championships, but it still feels like outside of the building, there's not a whole lot of belief in Virginia. And I don't know why that is. Do you guys talk about that inside the building and about building? Do you talk about the fact that nobody believes in you or you just totally 100% internally focused? No, no, that's not something we talk about. You know, it's completely internally focused. What about, so I know you, you know, you were at Missouri last year. I thought, you know, I know you had a little bit of injury problem there in the middle of the season. What led, when you decided to leave Missouri and you decided to go on, do you, do you look back at your time at Missouri as a, as a mistake or a building block?
How do you look back at it? Definitely a building block. You know, I'm definitely grateful for my time there. I had a lot of fond memories there, you know, as my first years at starting quarterback, you know, I got the opportunity to be, you know, a starting quarterback there for the first time in the SEC. And it was a great experience. So I'm glad that, you know, I was able to go there and that's, you know, helped shape me into the person I am today. Now let's talk about the way you lied to me, Bob, because you told me, you told me when we sat down, you said, oh, I'm sorry, I got to go to class. You're a senior. You don't, you don't go to class. It's online class. Yeah. Okay. You said, I got to go and there's just no way you got to go. You definitely have lunch or a nap you got to get to. It's definitely lunch for sure. Okay. Yeah. There we go. Let's just all tell the truth. What do you think of Charlottesville so far? You've had a couple stops. It's a pretty cool college town, huh? It is. Yeah, I do like Charlottesville. There's a lot going on outside the university here, just within the town itself.
So I've enjoyed being here back on these coasts, kind of more what I'm familiar with and I've enjoyed it. So going forward, you say you're giving me the right answers. Week two is all we're focused on, week three and then week four you'll go on. But what is the success the rest of the season look like to Boba Buella? I think for me and for our team, just being the best that we can be and that's just working every day to be the best we can be because if we put lofty goals up in the air, we lose focus. So just trying to remain focused on what's the most important thing and that's practice tomorrow or by week. When you go into a game, like if I told you going into the NC State game, all right, you're going to run this many times and you're going to you're only going to throw it 11 times. Do you like that? Would you like to throw it more or is it just whatever? Whatever it takes to win a football game, you know, and that's that's kind of the mindset I had going into this game. And that's really the mindset I have going in every game, you know, if I have to run the ball 100 times, if I have to throw the ball 100 times, whatever works, you know,
I just want to put points on the board. I just listen, you can, you can talk to me. It's it's brand new. Okay. You don't want to run the ball 100 times 100 times. Just create. I mean, we don't run 100 plays in a game. So I mean, it was a bit exaggerated, but but I'm seriously like a five to five to put my head down and run the ball. Yeah, whatever it takes to the ladies that are watching. What does Bobo Velo like to do off the field? Big golfer. Loved to golf. Get on the links. You're thinking beat me. What do you shoot? I'm between 85 and 90 pretty much right now. Okay. That's kind of the range I sit in. I think I could beat you. Yeah. I figured you did. I figured you did. And I know that you can beat me. So I don't even know why I brought it up because I also lied. I don't know why I said 85. I haven't seen 85 all summer. I thought I would, but my driver's just, it's just, it's just not turning over the way it should. The late in the summer, it's just it continues to slice. And I can't put. Anyway, I did want to talk to you about these things today about me putting and everything
like that. So going forward for Virginia, for everything, I know that NFL futures or whatever, do you focus on developing things they might like to see or do you focus on only doing things Virginia needs? For me right now, it's only doing things Virginia needs. And that's doing anything I can to win. Do you, do you make anything of a, because I know you're never going to face the situation probably, but like the guys who have gone to NFL camps and are now coming back and there's this big fight in college football about eligibility, what do you make of all that controversy? And is that something that crosses your desk? I have no idea. I mean, I guess it kind of crosses my desk, but is it affects me in some way, maybe? Yeah. I honestly don't really know what's going on with all that stuff. And I'm not sure if anybody else does either. So, but right now I just kind of go with the flow. I got to be honest, though, that's the correct answer. I am paid to do this, not as handsomely as you are, but I am paid to do this and I have
no idea what's going on with that crap. It's just absolutely, absolutely crazy. And I don't even try to paint it anyway, but I know you got to get to class or lunch or whatever you got to do. I know you got to get a quick nap before practice because you don't want to talk to me. But I appreciate you talking to me and I thank you for your time. I appreciate you. Thanks for having me. All right. So, current Heisman leading quarterback, but that's because nobody else has played. So, let's see if he holds on to that lead. Thanks, Bob. Thank you.
