Dr. Jud Brewer

Dr. Jud Brewer is an addiction psychiatrist and neuroscientist who has written extensively on the intersection of addiction and mental health. He is the director of research at the Center for Brain Health at UMass Chan Medical School and has published numerous papers on the neural mechanisms of addiction and the treatment of addiction with mindfulness-based interventions. Dr. Brewer is also a contributing writer at The New York Times and has written several books on addiction and mental health, including "The Cracked Pot: Why Breakthroughs Come from the Places We Least Expect" and "I Can Drown: A Descent into Depression and Back Again".
