Behold we could say good morning to you Mr. Carver, it's very nice and early over in New York, I've got you up nice and early, good morning to you. Have you tried off yet? That's the big key for you. I tried off at about, probably about two o'clock in the afternoon, maybe one o'clock in the afternoon yesterday. You know yourself when you're queuing in to get into the US Open on that boardwalk, there's a big sort of bottleneck when you get towards the end, which is normally absolutely fine but because it was absolutely raining so so heavily, everyone was just desperate to get into the covered sort of gazebo bit at the end but it took about 10 minutes to get there. So I got absolutely soaked trying to get in but yeah, the weather's been crazy because as I said on Instagram yesterday, once the rain had stopped, it was still so humid because the cloud cover and when the sun came out as well, it was like a little oven in there.
So yeah, the weather's been a little bit wild but I'm alright, I've dried off, I'm good. Yeah, I mean that's the key thing of the opening couple of days. Lots of rain delays yesterday, obviously, all the other play not completed. I've been in the day before as well on Monday, you know, we're heading into the Wednesday, the first round isn't complete and we've got some bad weather around up until the weekend haven't we? My forecast said it's okay, actually tomorrow. I haven't looked in the further out. I thought today's pretty bad, isn't it? Today's bad and tomorrow not so good. Today was supposed to just be cloudy but it changes so fast the weather forecast. You look at it on the out one minute, 10 minutes let you look at it again, it's something else. It's okay at the minute. I've been out there obviously already this morning. There is some rain in the forecast but it's not until, it's not until sort of seven o'clock and it's only a little bit so today should be okay just cloudy but tomorrow, tomorrow Thursday that looks okay, looks fine to me. Oh good, well that means you'll need, all you have to do is look at the window, I suppose I have to look at the weather forecast to see what it is, it was a bit of rain around showing on here but it looks like next week to the bright and up, quite a bit of a
cliff look at me, there'll be very sunny from the weekend. Bangkok, I think it's going to be quite hot. Bangkok, I think, for stateside view as well. Looks fine next week, it's just been this first week of course when I'm here but it's been a little bit rainy but I've never had rain before at the US open so I can't, I can't complain. Let's have a look at the outright market before we go into it. Obviously, while the time this drops the action should be starting so you've got plenty of, probably about an hour or so to look at the outright market if you want to have a bet on this. Carlos Alcras is the market leader plus one 15 last year about him in a second. The Alexander's very, so I had the huge scare overnight against Lorenzo Saniggo. He's still the second favorite three dollars Ben Shelton. He's been a big mover. Eight dollars slow start but look good after he lost that first. It's against Gretzball. Taylor Fritz didn't have much to do at all to come through. Very easy. I'll pick ten to one there. Rafael Waldo, yet to play his first round match 12 to one. Fidditch always had a semi-20, Medvedev 22, Jacob Mentig with 30, Cabodi, another one who survived a bit of a scare. 33 to one, Tommy Paul 33 to one, Nakashima and TFO. 35 to one.
I mean, let's start with Carlos Alcras. You've got to be impressed with him, haven't you? I mean, the market has impressed me. They've shortened him quite a lot. I was very impressed. I was also annoyed, obviously, because we had Roman Safil in various ways, which I still think was a fair bet given that Alcras unplayed since April. Yeah, you just wouldn't expect somebody to come back having not played a match for four or five months and then just rip through someone of Safil in quality and straight sets. You did have quite a substantial strapping on that wrist as did current in Mute yesterday. But I thought it'd be a little bit more reticent early on, maybe just scared of entering it again, but he was ripping it quite good. I mean, I couldn't be more impressed for a comeback from sort of four or five months off to play like that in your first match. It's not something that I expected. I don't think too many people expected it. The question for Carlos is how is the risk going to hold up? Okay, he's played one relatively short match.
What if he plays a couple of four set matches, maybe a five setter then? What's the risk going to do? Is the pain in a comeback? Nobody knows. So it's still a bit of a punt as far as Carlos is concerned, if you think in a bet. On the outrun market now, we've tied a fritz who I'm through, fairly come through also with Mousetti, who is still available at 50 to one after his winning against Alcras. If you're looking at the market now, after seeing majority of these players after Round 1, actually, who's impressed you the most? I'll put obviously a part of my accuracy if you're looking for someone else there. Yeah, I haven't got the odds on my screen here in a minute. I'm not sure whether I have them on the PDF. Shall it date to one, drive three, fritz, ten, a Felix 20 and Mervin of 22, Raphael, 12. We haven't seen him yet, but I mean, yeah, we've not seen Oda because obviously Cokin, Arches, Paul, and the rain as well. Alcras, as I've said, very impressed, but we'll see about the wrist. It's very, very, very tough, tough, scary last night against Sanago, but that might be
exactly what he needs. I think he said afterwards that that's probably what he needed because he's not been in the best of form, the best feelings on the court. Shelton, dad, a tough opener, started slowly, but did what he had to do. I think the conditions will actually suit Ben Shelton here. It looks kind of not slower, but it looks roughly the same as previous years, but it looked a bit bouncier to me. I think those sort of conditions will suit Ben Shelton, not super quick. It doesn't want it super quick. He likes to have time to unwind on his shots. The kick serve will be helped by these bouncier conditions. So I'm not surprised at Shelton to come in a little bit. The rest of them, we haven't seen too much of these guys. For me, I'm happy with my position still on Shelton and for it, I think they're both in a good spot there. Yes, so it looks a good start for the American players. Shelton and for it, I've been pressed sure and I've impressed me as well, and we are hoping for an American winner. We all are on this channel, looking for an American winner to win the US Open.
Let's move on to the matches. We have four second round matches to get through on this show. They are scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully the rain doesn't cause any problems, but the weather forecast is optimistic, so it should be okay. Let's start off with the man who had a very, very tough match yesterday. It's Flavio Caboli come from two sets behind to beat Comin' Sarner, three sets to two. He's up against a school gate, a Trishon school gate, the Aussie. He was a good in qualification. He's come through three qualification matches and then he beat Vacher already quite impressively in the first round as well. Flavio Caboli, I mean, he's got to the finals of the French Open, caught a final run at Wimbledon. His form coming in here was suspect, I suppose, yet a good run at Cincinnati, but he's played a lot of tennis. I mean, I've had his point yesterday on Benning Week Live. He's played in the best of three sets. He's played virtually every match has gone over for Caboli. And yesterday he's played another five set match at the end of the season. It got to be tired, isn't he? Yeah, as you know, the French Open, that was massive for him, reaching the finals there.
Yeah, not surprised that he was tested. Yes, the day I talked about it on the Instagram, if you follow the Instagram, I said, I suggested that Kamasana, who's a real, what I would call a slam bunny, I got a guy that just really peaks for the slams, doesn't do so well. The rest of the year a lot of the time, but always tends to peaking slams. And I suggested that he would probably cause Caboli some problems and he certainly did. I'll just very quickly just expand just for a few seconds on the conditions. First, as I said, it's always kind of a medium-paced court here, but it does look bouncy this year that all the courts obviously play differently. They get different amounts of sun and all the rest of it. But generally speaking across all the courts, I've seen it does look like slightly bounce your court and medium pace. I think the CPI was one point ahead of last year, but that's variable depending on sort of weather and whatever. So just quickly on that and just quickly on round two underdogs, 39% of the underdogs are running round two last year, which is a huge amount for a major.
But it does only average 26% long term. Very, very quickly on the weather, it's going to be about 28 degrees, but the humidity is still there, so it's going to make it feel around about 30. So still pretty tough conditions. This match here at School K versus Caboli, I think it's really interesting one here. This is more of a mental factors in a way. We just saw Caboli edge in pass one player that saves his best for majors, which is Commissarner. Now he's got another one seemingly in School K. I remember betting School K and tipping him on the show last year here against Senego. And he won that match. Now he's back in round two in New York after serving his way really past Bassevuretion. That win over Bassevuretion was actually his first main level win since that Senego victory a year ago. Not one on the main tour since then, incredibly. He struggled even at challenger level this year, lost seven of his last 10 matches in challenges, but he's come back here, qualified well as you said.
And now he's in round two, classic profile of someone that maybe lacks motivation in challenges, but is really up in in slams. That's kind of what I'm looking for as a primarily a value better in these sort of tournaments. You know, he's got nothing to lose. Unlike Caboli who very often struggles with the pressure of being expected to win. And maybe that was the reason again that he started poorly against Commissar and the good thing about Caboli is he's quite honest. And he gets some good quotes from him and he said afterwards debuting on a court like this is a lot of pressure. I think he was on Armstrong, but it also means I've already achieved a lot. I was probably a little nervous at the start of the match a bit tense. I just couldn't find the energy the match required in the end. When I had nothing left to lose, I went to the bathroom and told myself I could still turn the match around. And that's what happened. Then he talked about his team's reaction. He said, they'll call me an idiot. That's always how we start. I think in the end they're proud of me. I've never won before when Niltu down in sets, but I won. That means I didn't give up. They're a little annoyed about, excuse me, how I started the match,
but it's more about external factors than the tennis. Now the external factor for me is self-inflicted pressure. You know, he's bringing his all on himself. And that presents opportunities for betters. School K has got the sort of attacking game that can make Caboli uncomfortable. And if he does serve like he did against Bassa for ready, then I would expect this to be at least reasonably competitive, certainly at the start. He had 25 ACs, 185 percent of first serve points, one school K against Bassa for ready, who's a very good returner. A repeat of that sort of level. That gives him a chance. And I think the bet has got to be for him to start strongly again with Caboli possibly nervous again. He tends to stress when he's in a position against players. He thinks he should be or he thinks he ought to be or people thinking he ought to be. That's the position that Caboli struggles in. And interestingly, if you look at the stats, Caboli has actually lost set one 25 times out of his 50 matches this year.
So he's 50 50 in any match, whether he wins the opening set. And yet he's minus 305 to win the opening set here. So it's a little bit of a punt because we know school K is somewhat of not known, but you know, the form isn't great, but I feel like he's a player that will come out. Nothing to lose. Start strongly. Caboli a little bit nervous plus 225. He's going to take off a point, but it's a school K to win the opening set plus 225. A bet rivers. Yeah, school Kate to win the opening set is our first official play for round two at the US Open for every. Oh, Caboli has got to run out of legs at some stage. I mean, it's been incredible run of overs for him. If you want to play the over 35 and a half, the minus 370 for us 375 school, get in the money line. Five and a half is your spread. And if you want to look at Sean's pick there, there'll be about 60 odd matches on this. So he missed 60 markets on this match, which can get on the bet rivers. That ain't no better to live stream the match as well. Let's move on to our second match. French is going to surrender. Up against Jan Lenders, struff, a surrender, minus 210.
Struff is plus 165 spread. A three and a half and a total here of 38 and a half. These two players have met once before last year in Munich. And struff got an I like to six, love six to in round one there. Both of them have a bit of a tough time on a hard court. Surrender those are at a real bad run since getting to winning the Queen's Club championship. It's barely one of match since he did win the first match here against Miss Lich. And struff come through Hugo Carrebelli. So they both expected to win their first round matches. Now they've got a tough ask against each other. Um, market move early is for surrender, but minus 210. I don't know if we can trust him with that kind of price. Definitely not. This this price has gone out on struff and why I saw earlier and I'll take it. I mean, minus 210 to surrender. I mean, struff's got a very good chance here on his best form. We didn't learn, excuse me, we didn't learn a lot about surrender. So in his first round, very easy win over Miss Lich, you hadn't played at all since February. I mean, clearly he was another one that was just there for the round one money.
If they're going to pay these guys like best part, $200,000, but for turning up to play, then they're going to turn up to play. Even if they're not played for six, seven months or whatever, um, which was the case with Miss Lich. If we rewind a week or two, so Runderlow was talking about just stopping playing. It was a video that was widely shared on social media. It was so widely shared that even I saw it. Um, and he was talking about basically stopping and going back to Buenos Aires, setting that enough. Um, and that's after an awful run of form since, as you said, since winning Queen's Club, we look at his numbers since winning Queen's Club and before the Miss Lich match. Yes, the day out, which is a, basically a virtual walk over. Um, 20% win rate and a service points, one in return points, one total of 89.5, which is wofl. Winning only 30.8% of return points. I mean, it wasn't fabulous against Miss Lich, either. That was on a court that I could see from where I was. I was sat on court seven, um, watching Mute against a Sweden.
He had a nice winner there, but I could, I could see from where I was that the, um, the Runderlow match as well. He had 10 double faults and 42, 1, 4 stairs in three sets. So Runderlow. So I, I very much doubt the confidence will have returned after that performance against what was clearly an opponent that wasn't, wasn't fit or certainly wasn't match fit. Um, and we got Schruff on the other side of the net, who's, who's super motivated. Got round four points to defend from last year. Possibly as last US open, we don't know. He's 36, it'll be 37, obviously by the time this, this rolls around next year. He's had a lot of injuries. This could well be his last US open, maybe. Um, and he faced a bit of a gimme in, in, in round one as well with Hugo Carabelli, another one who wasn't fit and, and again, with all due respect, he was probably just here for the substantial round one check. Um, and Schruff's coming off a Wimbledon court final, of course, at his age, the age that he's at now, he probably saves his best for majors. That would be a fair assumption.
And, and Sorunder Lo has yet to play his best tennis at the US open, struggled here, is yet to win back to back matches at this tournament in his career. Sorunder Lo. Um, and if we look at the US open records, Schruff's been a bit in and out as well here in his career, but he's got a slight advantage on the, on the stats. Um, 50% win rate here, service points won and return points won, total of 101.2. Sorunder Lo, the same win rate and a total of 100.4. So slight advantage to struff there. A lot of this is about how Sorunder Lo is feeling as any Sorunder Lo match is, you know, he's a complicate, he's guys, he's either, he's feeling it or he's not feeling it. I personally would doubt that his confidence has come back after that, sort of scraped past misadids, um, yesterday. So that's why I'm a little surprised that the money line's gone out, but I'm going to take the plus 165 that it is now. Three quarters of a point on Struff's money line. Yeah, he's drifting. Might even get a bigger price by the time they came to the court, tomorrow, hopefully. So our second official play is John Lennon Struff at the event,
and at plus 165 does look a big price for Sorunder Lo. Not in the greatest of form. It doesn't have a good record as Sean has just said there here at the US Open. I remember you can follow Sean at New York at the US Open. He's at the tennis today again on our socials app because we win. I'll, on Instagram, make sure you give us a subscribe on there, follow us, all the action there as well. All the handicappers give their picks as well. I've hit a same game party on the betrivers app. So I'm sure on betrivers banter, I'm sure a lot of people want to see what my same game party is for Ipswich against Liverpool on Friday. You're probably done with it. I know you do, Sean. You all under the betrivers app while you're over there. Okay, let's move on to our next match.
And it is a match between our tip to the tournament. Taylor Fritz, the American leading their hopes and also I've been sure on to win a major for the, means major for the first time to 2003. He's ever against Matea Blucci. And Fritz is a very heavy favorite here with betrivers minus 1,115. Plus 650 for the Luke, 6 and average, just red. 33 and a half is your total. I call it like the over there. The reason I like the over is because I look at the match they've played previously, which was in a quick call at Stuttgart. It was a fast call when the fastest surfaces of the year. It was this year. And Fritz came through it, but it was 5,7,7,5,7,5. So there's 36 games in a best of three sets. And now you're being asked to pay over 33 and a half in a best of five. Yeah, immediately I agree. It immediately does suggest over games. That's for sure. I do feel like this would be a test for our Mantela Fritz after what was a very easy win in round 1 over what was a pretty awful dial in Blanche.
I was there for a couple of sets of that match on Ash. Yesterday, Blanche is a lefty, of course. And that will help Fritz prepare for this challenge against the left hander in Baluchin. A guy, as you said, that troubled him a lot in Stuttgart on the grass this summer. It is the quickest conditions of the year there, generally. You do have to bear in mind that that Stuttgart match was only Fritz's fourth match back in almost three months after he basically skipped the entire Clay Swing. He turned up to play it at the French Open, but he skipped the whole Clay Swing really to protect his knee. So he was a little bit rusty when that Stuttgart match was played. For the record, it was a 108-92 win for Fritz in terms of service points one and return points one tells of that match. It was tight, but Fritz certainly deserved it. Blanche only won 26% of return points, but as we've said, it is extremely fast there. Early season grass in Stuttgart, the bit of altitude. This is very different here at the US Open on a sort of at best medium-paced hard court.
The other factor about the Overs is Fritz's record recently against left-handers. It's not that great. Fritz actually lost nine of his last 15 main level matches against left-handers and eight of his last 12 matches against top 100 ranked lefties. And he's also only won one of his last 13 matches against top 100 left-handers in straight sets. So again, we're looking towards the Overs here. If we look at Fritz's data in his last 10 matches against left-handers, he's only broken, serve 11% at the time. We're in just 33% of return points, so he struggled on return against lefties. Some of that you could perhaps argue was to do with the sort of knee-tender night, is that he's had and he's not been able to play it on occasions the way that he normally would be able to play that's certainly true. But top 100 lefties have certainly given him a problem lately, that's a fact. And Balucci will feel like he wasn't far away against Fritz in Germany.
The stats suggest that he was a little bit far away, but he'll feel like he wasn't, because I think 7-5 in the third wasn't. It was pretty close. And Balucci has the sort of game that when he's on it, it does. It is effective against top players. He's beaten Medvedev since he passed. Which for Keiner, Bublik, very, very close against Men's Sik in Cincinnati, a couple of weeks ago as well, so a couple of points away there. And he's beaten some big servers as well. Bublik, Hallease, Herkash, Diallo, three times, and Petri Perricard is beaten all those guys. I think the schedule in on this one will be important, because Fritz has stated many times that he does love playing on Armstrong. That's his favourite court. I don't think he's quite so wild about Ash. If it is Armstrong, that would be a boost for Fritz backers. I've had a look at... Well, I don't know if you've got the latest, obviously, but when I looked at this earlier, because I moved the toggle around on the Bet River's website, it was 35 and a half total games, was even money.
I just moved that toggle up a little bit. If that's the case, maybe that's a little bit bigger now, or whatever I don't know, but half a point is the stake on this one. It's over 35 and a half games. I think it's going to be even money plus 100. I'm going to look for you now. Talk amongst yourselves while I look for these. Taylor Fritz Balucci, we are the total games over 35 and a half. Plus 118. Yeah, there he goes. It's gone up. Yeah, I'm better. I like it. Plus 118. Yep. So, good. 35 and a half games plus 118. You can take the over 33 and a half, which is plus 119. You can go 34 and a half, which is even money. The 35 and a half. So, you can take 34 and a half then? Even money. Yeah, going to go over 34 and a half. That's what I was thinking. We like the price, let it lower number. That's fine. 34 and a half is good number. Okay. We'll just take the game down a bit then. So, over 34 and a half at evens. Okay. That is our third official play. Three matches, three bets. Now, we make it a sweep of bets on our matches we're proving today.
And the final match, I think probably the most interesting match actually. It's a big match up. Two players that have been around the long. We've got some head-toed data. Nothing much between the two of them in the past. And it's the match between Felix Orge earlier, Cym and Karin Kachanov. Two players, four times they've met. Two wins a piece. Kachanov actually won. Their last match in Hanna on the grass. Six, three, six, six, six, three. He's had some very, very close meetings between them. Lots of tie-rates when these two are played. But the odds here are very, very different because obviously, Felix Orgella Cym is on the highs at the career high of his rankings at the moment. Karin Kachanov has fallen off a little bit, but he's got the potential. And he's also got brilliant records at majors in the particular US Open. Minus 278 for Orgella Cym. Plus two 15 Kachanov spreader for an half year. And total 39 and a half set, Benning, Toulsets, to Winnerset, SetHandyCab. They're all on the bet rivers up. Check it out. Something about Felix here. If you're going to lose a game, I think this is a kind of match you could lose. You're going to come down to just two or three big points here,
rather than... I can see hardly any breaks. Lots of games, tie breaks. I'm easy at the minus 278. I would say very uneasy. Minus 278. It's only minus 278 if you go on recent form, which obviously a lot of people do. I tend not to. I tend to look a little bit further back than that. Form can change at any moment. Just feel like the odds are just too short on Felix here. And it's all about the struggles that Kachanov has had. He has struggled this season, but he usually plays his best tennis at majors. Pretty much not every time, obviously, but pretty much most of the time you'll find Kachanov's best tennis comes at majors. This should be a real test for Felix. Kachanov was a priced up, believe it or not, minus 122 favourite when they last met, which is in that grass match. Last summer, minus 122 favourite, and he won it, of course. Now he's plus 210 at a tournament where he was a semi-finalist a few years ago.
And sort of slick grass. I wouldn't class that as Kachanov's best surface. I would say hard course, probably his favourite surface. Certainly not sort of quick low bouncing grass. He's got that extreme grip on the forehand Kachanov. I wouldn't fancy him in sort of low bouncing conditions, but he was a favourite there and he won it. Now he's at a tournament where he was a semi-finalist a couple of years ago. And he's a 210 underdog. These two have always had tough battles. It's just recent form that favors Felix. Kachanov's actually only made, this is what this price is about. He's only made two core finals this season. Kachanov, no further, no semi-finals, just two quarterfinals. And he's dropped to number 50 in the rankings. But he's only 30 years of age and this could just be a dip. I think it's too early just to say I was done. It's slightly too early to write him off. He's only 30 years of age. They're head to head, as you said, they've played four times. The second serve points one is more or less identical. Tiny advantage to Felix.
But it's the first serve of Felix. Done the job for him. He's 180% of those points. But it's not that quick here. This could well be a night match as well. We don't know yet. If it was a night match, I'd probably like it a bit more. Most of those four meetings were in pretty quick conditions. You would expect Kachanov to put up a massive fight here. His stats are still decent. We look at 2026 at a main level on outdoor hard. There's only two points in it. Service points one and return points one. Tels Felix 104. Kachanov 102. So not much in it on the pure data. But if you look at the results, Felix would in 63% of his matches. Kachanov only winning 44% of his matches despite having a total of 102. Which suggests he should be winning more matches. He's obviously lost some that he should have won. And the other thing that stands out in those stats is that Kachanov is holding 78% of the time.
Which is actually more than Felix is at 86%. So his numbers are still good. It just hasn't been winning. He's just lost matches that he should have won. You also never really know with Felix. He's twice a semi-finalist here, but also lost in round one four times. And that's Felix in a nutshell. When it's all clicking and he's in the groove, it's great. But when he's not, it's a real struggle for him. And Kachanov also has better stats here at the US Open than Felix does. If you look at the US Open records, Felix, service points one and return points one total here, 102.2. But he's got a 65% win rate. Kachanov's total is 104.5. But he's only 155% of those matches. Those win rates should be the way around based on those statistics. So it's been a case of Kachanov probably just not getting over the line in a lot of these matches. I'd be surprised if this was a quick match. The Overs is an obvious one there, I think. But I'm going to take the plus money on Kachanov
with a 1.5 set start on the handicap. That kind of fits with him playing well, but maybe not just not quite getting over the line. I think that's decent value. Plus 1.5 sets of Kachanov plus 106. The better rivers that's three quarters of a point. So there is our fourth official play. Four matches, four official plays. There are a whole host of other second round matches available. On the app, that is on us very, against Quentin Hadley, which is an interesting one. Gail Monfice, who's 40-year-age. He's birthday yesterday. I pick into learner TN. You have a Mercedes-R pick against Swini. We also have Popper Interminor Mensik, who has run off blocks and Dardarian actions. Well, on all those available, on the bet rivers app, with a whole host of different markets available. Probably 60 plus markets on all those matches. Ashong before I let you go and head to the tennis. What is your best bets for tomorrow? Your four official plays. Okay, so half a point on Tristan's school Kate to win the opening set against Cabalit plus 225.
Three quarters of a point on Yann Lennon's strough on the money line to beat surround the low plus 165. Half a point on over 34 and a half games in fritz against Baluchi and three quarters of a point on Kachanov. Plus 1.5 sets to beat Felix at plus 106. So there are four official plays.
