The Trumpet Daily Program begins right now. Today's world news, what it means, where it's taking us. I bring you to one and only possible lucky rapport appeal. This is a message of hope, tremendous hope. And he said to me, you must promise I'll get it. The Trumpet Daily Program begins right now. The Trumpet Daily Program begins right now. Those were the euphoric scenes in the skies over Saudi Arabia from just yesterday. People on a plane rejoicing that they were saved and that their plane didn't plummet out of the sky and hit the ground as the terrorist co-pilot.

Inside the cockpit tried to do. He stabbed the pilot. He tried to smash all the control, sending the plane into a nose dive. But just as he did that, a few heroes from the plane stormed the cockpit. It looks like the pilot that was stabbed had enough energy to open the door to allow them in. They incapacitated the terrorist and then they stabilized the plane and the plane landed a few hours later just thereafter in Saudi Arabia and ended up getting all the way back to Tel Aviv. But it could have been an absolute disaster just two days away in the Jewish Sacred Calendar from the anniversary of the October 7 massacre from 2023. We'll be talking about that on today's program as well as a few other things. Welcome to the show. I'm Brad Nucktagall. I'm filling in for Mr. Steven Flurry, your regular host. I'm here in the beautiful Queensland right on the border between New South Wales and Queensland here in Australia celebrating the feast of Tabernacles with Sukkot. With my family you can see the Pacific Ocean behind me. If you're lucky as we were this morning you'll see some humpback whales jump out just off shore and land back in the water.

I don't know if that's going to happen. There seems to be a few white caps back there right now. But just a beautiful scene here on the coast of Australia. Very different to what these people experienced for sure. So I'm going to talk about that at the start of today's program. I'm also at the end of the program going to play an interview. I got released yesterday to the public. It was done I think about a month ago with Dinesh Tassuzza on his podcast interviewing, Brad McDonald, from the Armstrong Institute of Biblical Archaeology. Here's a former contributor for the trumpet as well. So we'll get to that with the end of today's program. In the middle section we're going to do a bit of a study on when the feast of Tabernacles was very important historically and just take a quick look at how it is the very beginning often of restoration of a work of raising the ruins. So again, thanks very much for joining the show. So just going to go through a times of Israel piece detailing what happened. You've probably seen this stunning stunning him. I mean everyone's got a camera these days and so there's several different people filming what happened on board on the plane as it's happening.

These Israelis storming into the cockpit to stop the guy from just destroying the controls which the plane would have gone down if that was the case. And then you see images of people, vote videos of people on the descent, the plane dropped thousands of feet over the course of a minute, parrying images that you've probably seen. But I just want to go through a little bit about this because you can see from it it's just kind of amazing that nothing happened. I mean how often have we heard about hijackings of planes? I mean here was a pilot or the co-pilot that stabbed almost to death, would have if medical treatment wasn't given to him at the time by an Israeli that was on board. I mean if you're going to take down a plane and you better make sure the cockpit is locked because you know that there's going to be plenty of people on there that won't be scared to come and approach you and neutralize you if necessary. And then there's probably a doctor on board as well and who knows that probably could even be a pilot on board.

This is some of this from this article from the Times of Israel. Passengers saved from a co-pilot's apparent attempt to crash a fly-dew by flight landed safely in Israel on Wednesday with the heroes who thwarted him sharing the story of their efforts after arriving at Bangurian Airport. Footage taken by an Israeli on the fly-dew by rescue flight showed passengers cheering and singing as their plane touched down a Bangurian airport after their earlier flight from Dubai made an emergency emergency landing in Saudi Arabia due to an alleged attempt by the co-pilot to deliberately crash the plane. There are 166 Israelis on the board on board just I think seven or eight others. My family just flew from Israel to the United Arab Emirates a couple of weeks ago and actually a lot stopped flying to the UAE. I think in March because of safety protocols they didn't trust that it would work out that they could protect the Israelis on board.

They just canceled but there are plenty of aircraft that do fly between the UAE and Israel ever since the Abraham Accord started up they didn't do that before. But in this case if I just keep on reading the pilot was an Indian national his smith Machaqar something like that he was stabbed by his co-pilot who said to be an Omani national. The passengers said Machaqar was he stabbed in his neck and hands and badly wounded. He had 13 years of experience as a pilot including with four with fly-dew by. Amid the attack the plane initially plummeted some 17,000 feet in under two minutes. A group of Israelis managed to force their way into the cockpit, subdued the stabber and stabilized the plane witnesses said. Here is what Israeli Prime Minister Doron Speelman said about the attack. That we bring in Doron Speelman, international spokesman for the Office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he is live from the Prime Minister's office in Jerusalem.

Doron very good to have you here sir. Thank you for joining me. I know this is a day that could have ended very differently. What is the latest that you can tell us after the Prime Minister's discussions with some of these people? He caught me smiling on this day because I just left the Prime Minister and he was saying about the gentleman you just mentioned he's a plumber and he went with his family on a trip to Dubai. This is a normal Israeli person, he's a plumber, he's a worker, he served in the Israeli Army. The plane was nose diving down and the Prime Minister asked him how did you manage to get into the cabin? As it was nose diving down it thousands of feet every few seconds it hit a bit of turbulence which leveled it. He managed to swivel his way into the room and as you mentioned he said I knew what to do this from watching TV. He pulled up the lever. We're talking probably a range of three seconds would be between my smiling at this story and us talking about the funeral arrangements that we've been made.

Over 170 people, no, he is such a hero and as is the copilot who we are obviously this is all still in our investigation but the early understanding is that the man who was stabbed himself managed to unhitch the cockpit door and also that he was yelling so he was trying to get word out over the PA system on the plane in order to alert people on the plane like this gentleman to kick into high gear, right? Well it's actually the captain was the one that saved the day was a copilot that stabbed him. The captain when the gentleman entered the room the captain was lying on the floor full of blood. He's fighting for his life right now full of blood and he had managed with his foot apparently to kick open that little switch to open the door when he walked in the room. First of all the he subdued the terrorist or the well we'll find out exactly what he is but he was trying to take all the controls of the plane and throw them into a jam so that the plane would crash.

So again it's it's a high probability that he was hijacking the plane that he was bringing the plane down and we have an investigation ongoing but what is not up for investigation is the bravery of the people on this plane. They are heroes in Israel once again we find Israelis like those hostage hostages that came home that were so great the average Israeli knows what a just a steer to stare fear on the eye and up link. So it could have been an absolute disaster there could have been sorrow in Israel once again because of this but this didn't happen. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who went to the big and gerryane airport to speak with the the Israelis when they landed there. And one of those people that that is really set storm the cockpit was you near Hanyun this is what he said when I went in I saw the terrorist on the controls between the two seats there were no pilots in the seats I grabbed a terrorist put him in a bond a hold sorry and first of all pulled him outside.

And then he's talking about how he grabbed then the the controls himself here is the account just a short clip of him talking to Prime Minister Netanyahu. So actually some of the subtitles from that clip were a little bit wrong what he was saying he wasn't a pilot this man actually watched a documentary series I think it's Canadian documentary television series called Mayday and so since he's watched that he basically understood that I need to pull back on the controls if it's going into a nose dive so that's what he did. Just this guy apparently it was a plumber according to Donald Trump he grabbed onto those pulled them back stabilize the plane and then the pilot who they who they had performed medical attention on stopped his neck from bleeding he was the one that was able to it seems he was the one able that was just able to to land the plane there's other reports there was another pilot on board that took it there's probably a lot to come out about this as time goes on but just in an absolutely harrowing.

And again it could have been totally different if not for the heroism of number of these Israelis but it just goes to show here we are again two days away from the anniversary of October 7 has the world changed has the world become a safer place for Jews obviously not anti-Semitism was increasing on October 8 October 7 happened and then October 8 everybody comes out and support of her mother. And there's meant to be security protocols there where in terms of safety protocols to ensure that there's no pilot flying planes bound for Israel that they don't have any type of peace treaty with them but that didn't happen this was a no money national apparently that was flying and I mean Israelis if you've ever boarded a plane bound for Israel normally this extra security protocols at the foreign airport often this Israeli security personnel that are interviewable.

So this doesn't happen but is anyone interviewing the pilots I mean it's hard to get around this the September 11 attackers they were trained pilots but they weren't in the cockpit they're the ones that progress to the cockpit but here you go right inside in control of over 170 Israelis this seems to be unvetted terrorist and so again what has happened over the past three years and it's deeply saddening to know that it's only gotten worse hatred for the Jewish state that the Jewish people has only continued and gotten worse over the past three years and we don't know all the ins and outs of what exactly happened on that plane but in this case I guess there's lots of accounts about the general idea of what happened but in this case the Israelis aren't mourning and they're celebrating it but what is there to stop this type of thing from happening in this world. As Israelis or the Jews around the world are they going to be able to protect themselves from what's going on if you look back in Israel's history God repeatedly told the nation of Israel that's a curse to trust yourself.

I mean you've got to think twice before you take down a plane of Israelis or try to I've injured myself pretty fiercely living in Israel and blood damaging my leg and blood pouring out. And then within 30 seconds I've got three Israelis around me know exactly what to do put it in a bind and elevate me and such so everyone's a trained medic it seems once I was sitting at a restaurant with my wife in Israel and there was an accident with a scooter and a car right in front of the restaurant my waiter or darts off excuse me he goes and attends to the victim of the car 10 minutes five minutes later when the ambulance was on the plane. And then it's later when the actual security or the ambulance shows up he comes back and says where were we and takes our takes our order. I mean there's a really special mindset among the Jewish people that is showing initiative in the face of danger that courage it's actually prophesied in the Bible the Jewish state the nation of Judah that descends from the patriarch Judah is actually going to be a courageous individual.

The Bible says in Genesis 49 that if you're going to rouse up this lion if he's sleeping don't wake him up because if you wake him up he's going to come after you. And so there is a natural born or perhaps it's just a national trait that was born into them into the nation of Judah and the individuals Jewish individuals to protect to show initiative to run to the danger instead of running away from it however how much can you really protect yourself. I mean we're coming into a time where there's going to be no human protection no human protection is going to be enough and that's the plan from God God wants everyone to recognize that he is their only rock of safety and going back to October 7th when I was there with my family in Jerusalem and he just saw on social media and other things you're just watching these terrorists go from kibbutz, Mosav these little communities on the boat. These little communities on the border of Gaza one of the other hour after hour and there's like who's there to protect them.

I mean what type of safety do you have in something like that obviously human beings think that their protection is going to be enough but when that happened it was just it was one of those moments where it's like what happened if I was on the Gaza border at that day. I mean there's no human protection that was going to be enough for that you can kind of deter enemies in this world you can try and make it so that if they attempt something like that that you're going to make it even worse for them or even worse for their family perhaps that will work and they're just all losing scenarios that's not a winning formula the Bible says that God is only our only rock of protection one of the greatest Jews if you like David is writing these stories. Writing these Psalms over and over again about how he was going to wait on God to protect him how he's going to wait on God alone you alone are my protector you are alone on my rock and my fortress anytime we seek or we have a solution that relies on men for our protection it's a losing formula it's going to catch up with us and we know that even going forward.

There are preppers everywhere around the world thinking that they're going to find some little hole in the wall some place in the middle of a forest perhaps the middle of the United States or New Zealand or somewhere else where they're going to be protected yet the purpose what we know is coming by events directly proceeding or pictured by the Feast of Trumpets before the Feast of Tabernacles is we know that God is actually bringing the destruction upon the people. We know that God is on mankind to get them to turn to him to recognize that they were designed to have a relationship with him they were designed to go to him for help for all of their help he is given human beings the abilities of course to help others and to preserve and protect life and make sure that they're safe and doing our part in that sense. However, whenever we rely on God for something that he has promised to do for us so whenever we line ourself for something that promised God has promised to do for us and that's a that's looking to yourself and it's the hardest lesson really one of them for a human being to learn and so obviously from this terrorist attack we see just the rampant Jew hatred that still exists and though this was a victory you could say for the Israelis.

And perhaps you know I didn't want this to happen what is going to happen around the corner obviously Jew hatred is only getting worse I want to take you back now to a time in biblical history that's from the period of Jeremiah Jeremiah the prophet really critical history because a lot of the prophecies in the Bible for the nation of Judah and the nations of Israel. Profitically speaking meaning the United States and Britain and British Commonwealth this nation of Australia a lot of the prophecies of what was going to happen what is going to happen is recorded in the book of Jeremiah and yet Jeremiah often painted as a prophet of doom was anything but he was actually giving a similar message or we'll go through some of what he's saying in his book and his whole points of his book is to get the nation to repent meaning turn from sin.

Turn from wickedness embrace God's protection look to God cease from man cease from putting your trust in man cease from putting a trust in yourself and look to God who we are designed to have a relationship with and if that doesn't happen well then the nation was going to go into captivity the nation was going to go into for going to fall however as he says in chapter 32 there is hope God is going to bring them out of that and provide finally for them in the world. So I think we're going to give them a new heart and give them the opportunity to live by his laws and protection let's go to Jeremiah chapter 32 going to go over there this is a really critical chapter because it takes place right as Jeremiah is caught up in prison put in prison by the ancient Judeans put in prison by the ash high echelon upper echelon of society princes Kings

and the king of Jerusalem and Jeremiah the prophet was shot up in the court of the prison which was in the king of Jude's house. So he's there in prison this is during the siege of Jerusalem. There's no there's no way out Jeremiah has been prophesying that the nation is going to go into captivity he's already prophesied in chapter 25 and chapter 29 that there's going to be a return of the Jewish people eventually. After 70 years however in while in prison God tells him to purchase a piece of land that's owned by his uncle and he's I mean if the nation is going to go into captivity wise he purchasing the piece of land this is obviously purchased as a message of hope that even though the nation is going into captivity if they are there and they repent in Babylon and then in Persia and they turn back to God the God is going to go into captivity.

So God is going to bring them back that God is going to allow them to return to the land of Judah. We'll just read through this and then we're going to go through to another an instance of them actually getting to return and this is all really important because this is God's message it says an azekiel that God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked but the wicked turned from their way he does has no pleasure pleasure in the suffering of mankind except that it might bring them back to him. So we know that this is not God's world God is only selecting a very few right now to to be come out of this world to be separate from this world to be different from this world in whom he gives his spirit to so I can grow in character learn how to live by God's way of peace or eventually very shortly these people are able to teach the world teach the world a totally different way. God's plan and God's purpose and even many of God's people in this and the errors that were living through of the church they fall into the category that they currently have turned away from God and God still wants them to repent and change and turn from their ways and come back to him God never holds a grudge against people that are repenting David was the chief sinner and many in many ways and yet when he turned to turn to God when he repented when he was confronted by his state of mind.

He says he said I'm the man I'm the one that's done all this and God forgave him and his repentance was so heartfelt sincere personal and he didn't do those sins again like God said I'm going to I'm going to make you a king overall Israel look at Jeremiah chapter 30 talks about David being resurrected this is Old Testament David being resurrected to be sit on the throne of his own throne God's throne again he's going to sit there and so even God's ego. God's own people at this time who are currently in rebellion against him there is opportunity and hope for them that's what God wants see here in this chapter he lats his scribe was called Baruch at the time Baruch is the one that's writing out the sale purchase and notice what it says here verse nine and I bought the field of Hannah Mill my uncle son so his cousin that was in anothaugh

where he was from and weighed him the money and see 17 shekels of silver so what's going on here Jeremiah was confused by this the nation's going to captive and here you have me purchasing land what am I purchasing land for and I subscribe the evidence this is verse 10 and sealed it and took witnesses and weighed him the money and the balances so I took the evidence of the purchase both that which was sealed according to the law and the custom and one which was open and I gave the evidence of the purchase on to Baruch the son of the rye the son of Messiah and the site of Hannah Mill my uncle son in the presence of the witnesses that subscribe to the book of the purchase before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison so this is like an official contract that's taking place in front of witnesses you have one scroll that's left open one scroll that's close you have Jeremiah's own seal that would be put onto it his bula or hit the clay part would be his bula seal impressions very similar to seal impressions that we find in Jerusalem and he's purchasing some land here even though he's in prison even though he's prophesied that the whole nation is going to go into captivity he's purchasing land

and I charge Baruch before them saying thus says the Lord of hosts the God of Israel take these evidences this evidence of the purchase both which is sealed and the evidence which is open and put them in an earthen vessel that they may continue many days for thus says the eternal of hosts the God of Israel houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land so this was a message of hope and and he's declaring this hope by purchasing a piece of land in Judea as a symbol as a sign that the nation is going to have the opportunity to come back of course this is both physical and spiritual it has hoped for us today it also had hoped for the Jewish people back then Jeremiah had already written to those that had gone into captivity about 12 years before this that they were going to it was good for them that they were out of Jerusalem because the besiege of Jerusalem and the tribulation that they would experience inside the besiege of Jerusalem

where I got so bad read the book of lamentation you can see how bad it got where human beings when they're not able to escape it they were in it there was no human escaping what was happening in Jerusalem but those that had left early that God took them out of it he wrote to them and said you will be able to return after 70 years and they would return and Jeremiah is offering a lot of hope through this purchase I did want to mention this book we received this here at the Feast of Tabernacles it's called the Father's Love it's written by Mr Gerald Flurry and it's really exciting if you go through this to read the post script this is at the end of all the chapters it's obviously a very loving message if you go through this it says the Father's Love an urgent message for his sons both faithful and prodigal it's God's God reaching out to those people that are in the name of God and it's not to those people that he has begotten as children listening to him right now it goes through a bunch of ways that you can return to God and then right at the end he has this post script it's entitled a title deed for God's kingdom and it's all about what happened here in Jeremiah chapter 32 about the purchasing of land at Anathof even in the midst of great sucks

offering in Jerusalem because as a sign of what was going to happen and what would happen even in these times this is Jeremiah chapter 32 and I'll read it from here it says well just read this is page 166 it says Jerusalem and Anathof would be destroyed and the Jews killed or carried into slavery what difference would owning land and preserving an inheritance mean at such a time and Jeremiah even prayed this he said in verse 24 to 25 this is the new living translation you can grab your Bible and read along even if you have a different translation it's going to be very similar to this Jeremiah pray see how the sea draps happen built against the city walls he could see it he was he was very up close to him through war famine disease the city is going to be handed over to the Babylonians who will conquer it everything has happened just as you said God had used him for the decades previous the three decades previous almost four to warn them about what was happening could see it happening and yet Osavro and Lord you have told me to buy the field paying good money for it before these witnesses

even though the city will soon be handed over to the Babylonians why did God tell Jeremiah to buy that field the purchase signaled that his work would continue and that's what you have you can read verse 37 verse 44 and that's what you see the the works going to continue the tribulation anciently very hard and we know from the prophet Daniel that what's ahead is going to be the hardest time man has ever seen we also know that those people that won't be gotten by God before that time happens if they hear the message of God even within the tribulation they turn to him they would be physically protected from that from the rest of it they would make it out and so God is always wanting repentance and turning to him that's why he even allows suffering in some instances mr. Flory then writes with the world falling apart around Jeremiah God had him take practical steps to build the new nation of Israel that was to come

and so you need to read that this it's only I would suggest you read it if you're watching this during the feast of tapenacles this would be a great three or four chapters to read because what is the feast of tabernacles all about the feast of tabernacles pictures the millennium their pictures the ushering end of God's world directly after the tribulation Satan is going to be bound put away so we can't deceive the nations anymore and then right after that a new world begins a new world where mankind will have the chance to finally live by God's laws with Satan removed have their understanding opened up to God's word and that's what's um this chapter 32 of Jeremiah is all about but there's also another parallel situation that took place anciently regarding these 70 years now I want to go through a little bit of that

right now because we know that this played out anciently that there was the word Jews that came back to anathoth uh 70 years or even a bit under the time period after Jeremiah uh gave this prophecy or received this prophecy of God you can see all this over in the book of Ezra so we'll turn over there the book of Ezra Ezra was described he was a scribe that lived in Babylon he understood very well was taught the Hebrew Bible the texts he knew them so well that he was the one that God used to canonize the Old Testament to declare which books were deemed part of the official canon and which books weren't equally important and though he's writing this in Ezra chapter 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 he's not actually on the scene yet he's he's a young person he's over in Babylon and he's the first seven chapters of his book detail events before he arrived in

Jerusalem to do his work and this refers to the time periods referring to in these first four chapters the time period of Zerubbebel so Zerubbebel is the great builder he's referred to in the book of Zachariah or in Haggai these are the temple prophets two of the three temple prophets and Zerubbebel was charged by God and he was given command of the Jewish returnees after the 70 years that Jeremiah prophesied to go back at the call of Cyrus the great to go back and to rebuild Jerusalem you can see a little bit about this and the reason we're going through this is because it has everything to do with the feast of tabernacles there's everything to do with what we're celebrating today the feast of tabernacles has been a time of rebirth anciently and it is going to be a time of rebirth here in the very very near future it says here in or we can just read 2 Chronicles 36 unless you have the Hebrew canon and you

have a Bible that's got the same order as the Latin Volgate like King James in front of me then you've got 2 Chronicles that goes all the way to Ezra it's a different order obviously in the in the other canon but notice verse 21 it says well we'll read verse 15 onwards it says and the Lord the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers rising up for times and sending because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place so this is talking about the time period of Jeremiah it's summarizing why they went into captivity why Jeremiah had prophesied that they were going to be taken away and God had sent them prophets God had sent the ancient nation of Judah prophets and we tend to think of the ancient nation of Judah different from the nations today not really and not not that different if you look into it just how many people are actually obeying God's laws probably not that many why is Jeremiah having to prophesy about all these things about idolatry about them giving their their children over to

different gods burning them about them eating unclean meats another just another point of breaking God's law about their rank idolatry why is he doing that because that's what they were doing just like today like he looked behind me it's absolutely beautiful here in tweed heads in Australia and you're up high you can look look over the ocean peaceful beautiful you go down to the bottom though and not saying it's a ugly place but it doesn't take long before you realize you're still in this world there's still sin everywhere I was just walking back from the from the auditorium yesterday and the Sora guy drugged out on the ground somebody was trying to help him is probably 65 tried to help him back up couldn't get back up he let him fell he fell down and the guys are like well now what do I do now nobody's happy there the man trying to help the guy on the ground that's drugged out of his mind he's not happy he's got no peace

and so while this world might look okay from a fire you get down into it and it obviously needs a lot of train a lot of changing it obviously needs the start of the feast of tabernacles so ancient juda would would have been very similar to this they just found two years ago a bunch of crushed vessels from the time of Jeremiah that would that were crushed in the Babylonian destruction layer in Jerusalem right by the palace of King David right by the Ophel the royal center of the kings of juda right by Jeremiah within 200 meters of where Jeremiah was in prison probably a hundred meters they found these vessels that were full up laden with wine spiced with vanilla crushed there and I forget I don't have this in my notes but I think it's Jeremiah maybe chapter eight I'll just have a turn there just in case it is Jeremiah chapter eight where Jeremiah is actually condemning them for for what's saying stop your sinning going after all the wine I don't think it is here unfortunately kind of kicking myself I didn't have that but you've got this passage

in Jeremiah where he's talking about these people living the high life and yet he says you're going to be crushed just like those vessels are just those like those vessels containing the spiced vanilla laced red wine that's was ancient Jerusalem that's tweed heads today that's everywhere else in the nations of Israel today the nation of the United States the nation of great Britain it's all over this world you don't have to look too hard and it's a captivity it's a captivity to sins a captivity to lust and it's going to end really soon but don't get the sense that when you read the book of Jeremiah chronicles that there was some ultra righteous civilization back then they did have the Lord of God is accessible to them if they wanted to read it just like you might have a Bible we all have Bibles if we want to read it it's there we can take warning from it of course God still

needs to perform his miracles in our life for us to even understand it at this time but soon the knowledge of God is going to cover the world like the waters cover the sea that's what it says in the book of Fabakkuk, Fabakkuk chapter 2 but notice this but they mock the messengers of God they despised his words they misused his prophets until the wrath of Lord arose against his people till there was no remedy there was nothing that was going to save them about captivity and it was a wake-up and then they would have the opportunity to repent therefore he brought upon them the king of the Caldeans Nebuchadnezzar who slew the young men with a sword in the house of their sanctuary he had no compassion upon young man maiden old man him that stoop for age late I mean October 7th this is just a warning sign there's no compassion upon by these people these these savages and if you look through the timeline of the of the tribulation you've got this repeated scene of little babies

getting there they're being killed by the hands of terrorists by the hands of people that violently go after them whether it's and we saw that in October 7th and this is what's happening I mean you're going to see the king of the south the Iranians radical Islam do that and then you see the king of the north which is German-led Europe rising today they're going to come and do that on the nations of Israel and then you can see you can see that red recorded in Psalm 137 verse 5 and so and to the rest of the end of that chapter sorry and then you've got the the Asian hordes the kings of the east that are going to come along do the same thing to the king of the north just barbarism and God says you know that's the only to shake mankind to recognize what looking to themselves does helping them to see they do not know the way of peace preparing their hearts to be ready to just say hang on we don't know what we're doing teach me God what should I do

show me there was no remedy as it says here and there was no mercy here mostly only comes with repentance verse 18 says in the all the vessels of the house of God the great and small and treasures of the house of the Lord treasures of the king and all his princes and all them he brought to Babylon they burnt the temple as it says there verse 20 and they carried him away and they that had escaped from the sword carried here way to Babylon where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia to fulfill the word of the eternal by the mouth of Jeremiah unto the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths for as long as Shilah desolate she kept Sabbath to fulfill 70 years three score and 10 and then when the first year of Cyrus comes along they get to return in some ways they weren't fulfilling the ultimate type of Jeremiah 32 with the purchase of the landed antithos but in a type they were able to come back and try again and try

again see if you can do it and what did they do when they return what did they do when they got you back to Jerusalem and they saw the whole place destroyed left just as it was left when they 70 years prior still in rubble destruction everywhere or a reminder what happens when they when we turn away from God what did they have to do first let's go have a look in Ezra chapter 3 now so you can just see in chapter 2 just the contact chapter 2 and verse 1 it says that they came up out of the land out of Babylon land of Babylon and they're going to go to the land of Judah and came onto Jerusalem and Judah everyone to his own city and so chapter 2 just goes through all the people that came back it's about 50,000 total something like that each going to their own city and after they check on their own lands then they come back to Jerusalem to start what well they're coming to Jerusalem why because they're coming up for the feast of tabernacles it's the seventh month

at the month of Tisserie and they want to obey God's law now they recognize so many of the so many of the the prophecies in Jeremiah he's talking about them going to captivity because they forgot God's status now they're coming back after 70 years and you bet you they remember that they should be keeping these days and so they come to Jerusalem and they do this and when the seventh month was come and the children of Israel and their cities the people gather themselves together as one man to Jerusalem and stood up Joshua the son of Joseph and his brethren is the priests so rubble the son of shield till in his brethren he was of the line of Judah who's actually from the royal kingly line but he wasn't king thrown it already moved gone elsewhere no other kings in Judah from this point forward he was going to be answering to the Persian Empire and his brethren and they build it the altar of God to offer burn offerings there on as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God and they set the altar upon its base so this is the first thing they're doing

in Jerusalem right let's make sure we're obedient to God instead of doing our own thing and so they get to Jerusalem and they build the altar the altar is out the front of the temple structure before they even build the temple they're going to build the altar why because they need to start offering to God they need to start sacrificing to God they need to make sure that they're fearing God most of all they knew that only God was their protection only with God would they be protected and they set the altar upon his bases for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries and they burnt offerings there on unto the Lord even burn offerings morning and evening they kept also the feast of tabernacles and so on so they come back they're going to raise the ruins of Jerusalem they build the altar they start sacrificing they keep the feast of tabernacles I would say the feast of tabernacles is very important I'd say the feast of tabernacles is a great period

of renewal this is a great period for joy of course but it's for studying God's law learning to fear God and then going on from that in units of life and something in a different way following after God reading the MI chapter 8 same thing celebrating the feast of tabernacles reading the book of the law at that time all of them are upset because they weren't keeping it and they say well just wait don't be so upset we need to be peace we need to we need to rejoice we're commanded to rejoice at the feast that's what it says okay a couple days after you read the next chapter they go home they fast they rededicate themselves to God feast of tabernacles inspired this great renewal in them and for a lot of us celebrating the feast that's what it does you you're boyed by the feast and it's and if anyone has experienced the feast previously they would know this it's a joyous time it's a celebration and you want to take that home with us we want to start new life if you like after that point and and do things differently you see that in the MI chapter 8 and you also see

that in Zachariah chapter 14 we're going to go over there we'll read through part of this chapter as well so Zachariah chapter 14 that's about the time ahead that's about the ultimate fulfillment of what Jeremiah 32 is referring to of the purchase of the land so you had a prior fulfillment the Jews coming back after 70 years they celebrate the feast of tabernacles in the book of Zachariah Zachariah is taking place this this book is is actually being written during that raising first raising of the ruins work there over in the book of Ezra as Zachariah as I said he's a contemporary officer rubberbell he was there Zach Zachariah actually participated on the in the construction of the second temple himself you can see that in Zachariah and Ezra chapter 5 both him and Haggai helped with that and now Zachariah is writing about inside that time period he's writing about what's going to be happening right before right in our time and right before the coming of Messiah finally

Zachariah chapter 14 you can see in verse 4 it says in his feet she'll stand in that day upon the mount of Olives this is just after the battle in Jerusalem where the nations are gathered together to try and fight it try and fight against the Messiah his feet are going to stand in the mount of Olives which is before Jerusalem on the east mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof towards the east towards the west there shall be a very great valley and half of that mount and shall remove towards north and half of it to the south it's going to be a lowering of the mount of Olives there's going to be a pathway for the the streams of living water that flow out of out of the out of the out of the temple from underneath the altar that altar that will that well eventually Ezekiel's temple is going to be built in that that location and there will be living waters that flow out at that point soon after this you can see that in verse 8 it says that in that day living waters are going to

flow out from Jerusalem half into what the former see half towards the Dead Sea right through the where the mount of Olives was before these waters are going to flow down through there to the Dead Sea healing that but notice what happens so that's pictured by the Feast of Trumpets where right now on to my math right it's a tenth we're at the sixth the sixteenth day of Tisserie I really know no not twenty first day of Tisserie the the Feast of Trumpets is on the first day of Tisserie which pictures the coming of the Messiah the return of Jesus Christ and how we are celebrating that just celebrating a couple of three weeks after that and what do we have here we have the Feast of Tabernacles so will these things these things I mean it looks like they're going to happen on the very days that are pictured here we have the Feast of Trumpets Jesus Christ returning Feast Feast standing upon the mount of Olives and then fifteen days later the Feast of Tabernacles is

going to begin very soon thereafter and it says and it comes to pass this is verse 16 that every one that is left of all the nations which came up against Jerusalem it's just so interesting a run that's left of the nations that came up against Jerusalem to fight she'll even go up from year to year to worship the King and the Lord of hosts and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles to keep the Feast of Tabernacles should we be keeping the Feast of Tabernacles says here after Jesus Christ returns everyone's going to be coming to keep the Feast of Tabernacles and celebrating the raising of the ruins work at that point it's not going to be as it was during the rubber bells time but it will be the raising of the ruins of the whole world you can look over in the book of Acts it talks about that. He was nine verse eleven and twelve talks about raising up the ruins of the Tabernacle of David that has a spiritual type it also has a physical type as mentioned in

the book of Acts and so it's going to start with the Feast of Tabernacles and we'll need it we'll need seven days where God commands us and commands the world that are left there to rejoice that we have new government now man does not have to rely on man for its protection you don't have to hope that you're in a plane full of Israelis and that the the captain is able to open the door at the last minute so that they can save you from a terrorist that's not going to happen anymore we'll need the Feast of Tabernacles to be educated to learn how to fear God as it says the purpose of the Feast of Tabernacles and from then we'll actually be living the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles which pitches the one thousand year millennial reign of Jesus Christ and his government that's going to be restored so the Feast of Tabernacles is such an important time period that offers hope of what comes after darkness but that hope always comes with repentance

as well if you haven't got this book it's available now the Father's love order it if you have it with you you want to download it read this last post script about the purchasing of the land of anaphyr if it'll give you hope particularly at this time and it'll inspire you to act which is one of the great purposes for the Feast of Tabernacles right now I just want to play your couple of clips we're really excited that Denesh DeSousa who's visited Armstrong Auditorium visited the campus Nebendoklahoma a number of times that is it's been noisy back there that he's written this book about biblical archaeology and that is taken and read through a lot of our magazines about archaeology to help inspire him to write this book and that he had the managing editor of Laptastone's Speak Mr. Brad McDonald on his show to discuss biblical archaeology with him so we'll cut away to that thanks very much for being with me today if you want to send some feedback go ahead and

write your emails to TD at the trumpet.com slash denesh a few years ago I was invited to give a talk at the Armstrong Institute of Biblical archaeology based in Edmund, Oklahoma little was I to realize at the time that this is one of the leading operations of biblical archaeology in the United States and not only that but they have archaeological digs in Israel they also have exhibits in Oklahoma where priceless artifacts the deal with the big issues of the Bible King David King Solomon the prophet Isaiah and the prophet Jeremiah these artifacts come to Oklahoma and people come from far and wide to see them because you can't otherwise see them in the United States so I've been back to Edmund Oklahoma now several times

I've gotten to know the gang at the Armstrong Institute and today I have on Brad McDonald who's the managing editor of the Armstrong Institute of Biblical archaeology and we're going to talk about what biblical archaeology is some of the work of the Armstrong Institute and some of the very spectacular findings of biblical archaeology that authenticate the historicity of the Bible. Brad thanks for joining me appreciate you coming on you and I met I believe for the first time when the Armstrong Institute had the Tel Dan Stele exhibit in Edmund Oklahoma so let me begin by having you say what the Tel Dan Stele is and why it is significant. Sure well thanks for having me Denesh it's it's a pleasure to be here the Tel Dan Stele it's the greatest archaeological find or let's say the greatest biblical archaeological find in human history it's an inscription stone

found in Tel Dan in northern Israel about 200 miles north of Jerusalem and it was discovered in 1993 and it's an inscription written by a Syrian king it's a victory inscription he's bragging about his defeat of kings of Judah so he's inscribing you know this is like a Syrian king saying king so and so was here so he's making this inscription bragging about his defeat of these Judean kings he's writing this in the mid to late ninth century in the inscription he writes how he defeated a king from the house of David and the inscription is clearly written bet David meaning house of David so on the Tel Dan Stele we have an inscription stone with a with a message inscribed

in the mid to late ninth century a testing to the presence of the royal dynasty of King David and this is the first inscription we have testifying to the presence of King David so Brad let's let's put this in context right king David reigns around a thousand bc so about three thousand years ago and what you're saying is for three thousand years if somebody were to ask you to prove the existence of King David not using the Bible or to prove the dynasty of David the so-called house of David mentioned many times in the Bible you'd have a hard time doing it but now with the Tel Dan inscription you have and by the way not just coming from a Jewish source but coming from a source hostile to Judah a an enemy king basically going you know hooray I have just won a big win against the house of David and so the house of David now would it be right to say

is archaeologically or historically authenticated absolutely and and that's widely recognized and that's recognized even by biblical minimalists this is a school of of archaeology or a school of thought in archaeology that that minimizes King David King Solomon the monumental Israelite kingdom described in the Bible prior to 1993 the biblical minimalists were winning the argument they could easily say we have no irrefutable evidence of King David the Tel Dan Steely is discovered in 1993 and they can no longer say Bible King David didn't exist
