Perfectly seasoned all the way through. Bursting with savory flavor. Juicy. Okay, I need to stop my mouth is watering. This isn't just any turkey. It's a taste that'll take you back. A taste born from a backyard tradition. I'm talking fold out chairs on the lawn. Just catching a whiff and popping their heads over the fence. Kids being told to stand back. That feeling of the first slice being carved. And now you don't need a backyard fryer. You can get that same golden juicy season of perfection taste at the deli with the Friars deep fried turkey breast. Discover the craftsmanship behind every bite at your local Bore's head deli. Bore's head. Committed to craft since 1905. You guys welcome to another pop culture kiki as always.

It's me Kelly Williams and Troy McGeedy. And I have nothing to say about oceans calling because it didn't happen. It was canceled due to the weather. I didn't even know we were getting like bad weather until Thursday when they canceled Friday. I was like, oh, okay. And unfortunately our hotel was not going to refund us. So we went down anyway hoping for Saturday or Sunday. Both were canceled Friday. So we ended up leaving on Saturday. But Friday was fun. We just walked around. We went to a place candy kitchen. It has all the candy you can imagine. So that was fun. Yeah, what a wash of a weekend. I told Kelly before we started recording that it's giving lovers and friends. And like it was crazy because so many people are already down there to go to the festival. And because our hotel wasn't refundable, Blair was like, they're going to cancel the whole weekend. I'm like, but they haven't. And what if we don't go down there and it happens? So we ended up going and I don't know. It's always fun to see like waves crashing into the ocean and shout out to coastal salt. The only restaurant we went to.

So if you're familiar with coastal salt or work there, you guys are great. And you great, give great food with big portions. So thank you. Well, at least it was a place that you can like still vacation. Like you see where in like some shitty town that you only went there for that. And like there's nothing to do. Yeah, definitely. Like we ended up taking some gummies on Friday and we went and got like mocktails and just kind of hung out. It was a bummer, but you know, I know safety's first that has to come first. Was you talking about the VMAs? I would love to talk about the VMAs. Okay. What do you think? You know what? I actually took this comment from Patreon because we did like a live chat over on Patreon. And Kelly O'Hallarine, O'Hallarine, she said, the lack of truly cultural, relevant performers on this list is infuriating. Adele, Olivia Dean, Slater, Pink Pantherist, Slash Zara, Olivia Rodrigo, hell, not my jam, and even LLingly too, should all be on that stage.

A true snapshot of the pop stars taking off in songs having been viral. And I completely agree with her. I don't think I could have said it better. Like, again, I don't love LLingly, but it's kind of crazy that she wasn't featured at all the other night. Yeah, I think that it's like, there's just like this weird feeling of the VMAs even existing because like TV doesn't exist. So then it's like, who are you to be awarding artists that you don't support and don't, like, you know what I mean? Like, you guys don't do anything for these people anymore. So like, what does your award even mean anymore? Like, yeah, I almost feel like I feel that way with every single award show now. It's like, what is really the point? It's just like the charade of it is kind of ridiculous at this point. The fact that MTV doesn't like show. Even when they were still like a functioning network, they weren't supporting artists for so long. So it's like, what do you, what input do you have on

Zara Larsen or whoever the fuck like you don't even, you don't even know, MTV doesn't even know this generation of pop stars. Completely agree. And also Snoop Dogg is a horrible host. Oh my God. I kept forgetting he was hosting until he would walk on stage again and mumble some bullshit. Like, when he closed the show and tried to get Taylor to stay on stage with him, and then she just walked away, I was like, get the cane and pull Snoop out by his neck and in the broadcast. Like, just burn it down. Yeah, it was overall lackluster, I guess. I will say, I love Bruno Mars and I like forget how much I enjoy watching him perform until they like bring him out on an award show. And I'm like, oh, I like that Bruno. Like he is always, you know, if he's on stage, it's going to be a good performance at least. Whether you like the song or not, like he's at least going to be fun. Yeah, I literally wrote in my notes. I understand why Bruno Mars is always guaranteed to perform at most things because he's consistent and appeals to most people.

Exactly. Exactly that. Yeah, and I also was just like, I was just thinking about how dystopian it is that MTV is not involved in like youth culture. I posted this on threads and of course a bunch of like fucking mouth-breathing idiots were like, but like MTV is not involved at all in youth culture or music or anything. And like if anything, the lack of like iconic people there, just it's like you guys are the reason that the music industry is weird right now, but you're celebrating it. It's really weird. Even Nirvana getting the Vanguard award, like I'm not saying Nirvana doesn't deserve this. I think Nirvana, I don't need to go into why Nirvana is important for music and pop culture. But like that even didn't make sense to me. It should have been 2024 like the 20 year anniversary of Kurtz death. It just felt like, oh, we need someone to fill this place.

How about Nirvana? And like let's celebrate when we used to do music programming. Like, okay, what the fuck? Like it's almost like a slap in the face of the people watching like, hey, remember us MTV? Yeah. Yeah, we do. So what's the point of this? Like it just is so, it was just very odd. Like when I posted that on threads of course, people on threads like are humorless and take everything extremely literal. Like you could say it's raining cats and dogs and maybe like it's just testically impossible. And I said this is the first time in history. I said this is the first time that a youth generation and a youth culture is not being injected with MTV. And people were like, the first time, this isn't the first time the VMAs hasn't been relevant. I'm like in general. No, you don't have to tell me about that. She says. And then I had people commenting like all these old white men commenting and being like, MTV hasn't been good since the mid 90s.

One guy I was like, well, post the mid 90s is MTV's A-Day. Yeah. And he's like, explain. I don't know what you're talking about. It was very like bean soup theory. And they're like, why don't listen to pop music? Then why the fuck are you talking to me? Right. God. Like I get on this mic every week and say how much I hate threads. So, we're in the company. So I'm actually sawing me on threads and they were like, I thought you hated here. I'm like, unfortunately, because in my job, I have to be on threads. I should say fortunately, I love my job. Well, I guess just to not be so negative, I did love Casey Musgraves. I thought she'd be reddable. Listen, I as a Madonna fan, as a person who understands that this woman has devoted her body to defying physics. Like the whole point of Madonna for a really long time was that it was like, wow, how does she do all that? Look at her muscles. Bubble blah. She doesn't have cartilage in her knees anymore.

I'm not expecting Madonna 70 to get up on stage and be doing the dips and the things and the yoga poses and the like, I just, I don't expect that from a Madonna performance. So people being like, she's 70. Yeah. It's like we're lucky that she's still making art. I thought it was really cool that she, that her and Charlie like recreated the bathroom scene from Danceteria and all the guests. I thought it was like visually really cool. And also people being like, I didn't even know Madonna had music out. That's the problem with. Yeah. That's the problem. It's because we're all in our own echo chambers. Yeah. Like, that's why MTV Not Existing is a problem. So your little award show is bullshit because like, it's, it like makes me mad. I feel like the VMAs have taken the spot of like the Teen Choice Awards where everyone who goes knows they're going to win and they're going to get their second

up on stage to smile and do all those things and listen, I am on board to bring back Teen Choice Awards because not everyone should be nominated for Oscars and all those things. Like give them a surfboard, keep it moving and then eventually they're going to appreciate their Oscar. But you know what? Give them a surfboard, keep it moving. Yeah. And it's also a fun way to celebrate like Teen TV and give teens their own moment to vote and all that. But yeah, the VMAs, it's just like, okay, Taylor Swift's going to go up. All right. Now Serena Carpenter is going to go up and it's just become so formulaic. We're in the past. There were big moments. Like, I know we don't love Jimmy Fallon, but I can still remember him doing the opening where he puts like a mole on his face and he's pretending to be Enrique Glacias and then he changes and it used to be a lot more fun and theatrical. I still remember I think raging against the machine like storming the stage when Limbisket won. It used to actually mean something to win a VMA and now it doesn't. Watching the VMAs live back in the day was like, it was like, like electrifying.

Like it was literally, you were like kind of on edge the entire night because anything could happen. The spontaneity of it all was just like almost like unbearable, but in a good way because it felt like, oh my god, like this is truly live television and like truly anything can happen. And crazy shit did happen that like the next day, like if let's say the VMAs that aired whatever the other night was like 20 years ago, the next day we would be talking about it. Like everybody like I remember going to like to school like back to high school the next day after the VMAs would air and like seven in the morning the bus ride home the whole bus talking about the VMAs you get to school all the teachers are talking about the VMAs they're talking to the students about it. It's the only thing people are talking about they're arguing about it. They're like fan-girling like it was like needle drop moment like and now it's just

it's just a shell of its former self it's sad more so. Well I think celebrity in general is now just so dulled down it's not what it used to be because with the VMAs like the audience moments used to be such moments. Yeah. And they don't even barely show the audience at this point like you have no idea what's going on and where the fuck was Olivia Rodrigo. I mean I think it's like you said people just go because they're already told that they're going to get you know. Actually speaking of what do you think about the rumor that Taylor like forced them to give her an award? It wouldn't shock me just because I know she has new songs out and we'll talk about that in a different segment. Sure. But I think she's trying to become a director and she's going to make a movie at some point and I think this is to like legitimize her as a director. Oh I'm glad that's exactly how I feel. Yeah. I think she's trying to position herself in film and the Tom Crew stuff to me now kind of makes more sense like the like her directing the video. I'm like okay.

She's gonna just do movie things I think. It is interesting how she replaced Blake lively with Dakota Johnson. Yeah. I do have a few more VMA things. For the George Michael tribute it should have just been Adam Lambert. Adam Lambert should have done the entire tribute. I do want to say Ray has an incredible voice. I do not think George Michael was like I feel like an American idol judge right now. I do not think George Michael was the perfect fit for her voice. But I just think Adam Lambert should have done the whole thing. I think that I need like we need to come to some sort of conclusion about somber. Like what the fuck was somber doing up there singing that song and George Michael's jacket? Why? Why? I was like you know it's bad when Limp Biscuit had a better cover of Faith than somber. Just completely soulless. No emotion. Like the definition of karaoke. I'm sorry. I don't

care how low your little leather pants get or how big your 60s fur coat gets. I don't look at somber and think that he's some like 60s sexy Mick Jagger. It is so. It's like you know when you look at a person and you're like God they are styled to hell. Like they just stood there and waited for the person to be done and then walked out. Like he is just so he's like a mannequin to me. I agree. I agree who he's the best way to put it in like Teddy swims I get he can sing but he just out there screaming. He's just screaming. I don't it's enough. Like just let Adam sing the fucking song. Give Adam Lambert the trip. You why are we teasing and then Adam has to let the other people take their turns screaming. I was just like this is why are we doing this? Why is this happening? Let's make this very fucking clear. Adam Lambert is on the Mount Rushmore of American Idol contestants.

He is one of the best to ever do it and him being like the last singer and just having a small moment made me so upset. That was a real disappointment. Like that was really like I just did not understand why they didn't just let him do it and he was the best part of it. Like when he started singing it was like okay. Yeah. Somebody that makes sense doing this. And young lean I've never seen him before. Never heard him before but great performance. Shout out to young lean. It was incredible. It was sick. It was like the best one of the night. I agree. I'm trying to have any other VMA thoughts. No I don't think I do. I think the only thing with the Dolly tribute I would have loved Miley to be up there. Yeah I saw a lot of people say that. Yeah maybe it was too hard for her and Casey did an incredible job but I don't know. I kind of wish Dolly got a little more of a tribute. I agree. Miley would have just maybe it's too emotional for her. I could see that. I could totally see that.

It just made me sad honestly. It made me really sad and just very like what a dystopian little weird time that we're living in and like for MTV to be contributing to it but then do an award show. It's like the nerve. I agree and there are moments where I'm like maybe I've just outgrown the VMAs. Maybe it's not for me but I can remember being young in my mom being around 3536 watching it with me and knowing who's on the screen. I don't not think it's an age thing. No it just it doesn't actually make sense for it to exist anymore and I feel like they just don't know what to do. Even the fact that it's like on CBS. I know. But it's MTV. What are we doing? What is going on? Truly. If we're doing this then let's bring back old weird. It's like let's have Noggin's programming come on some random network. You know what I mean? Go to Shopify.com slash blinds today to hear your first Well, since we're talking about MTV, there is a TRL reunion happening at some point this week. Troy and I haven't been invited. I have sent to my little essay talking about why TRL is so important to me. As a guy? Haven't heard back. No. What they're going to do is they're going to send it like Wednesday night and I'm not going to be able to get it to New York. We're doing it on purpose. But yeah, I guess it's going to be a reunion. I am hoping I'm going to guess Damian Faye. He's going to be a part of it could do. It's like the typical VJs that we know and love. But I'm wondering if like I don't think they could get Britney to go, but maybe four out of the five in sync members. Yeah. Maybe backstreet boys like they could get some real heavy hitters to pop up there.

I think that we would be surprised at the people that would agree to go. Like people like Mandy. Oh yeah. You know, maybe Christina would do it. Like, yeah, it is very, very sad that that's happening in Britney. Like can't be a part of it. I completely agree. So allegedly that's happening Thursday. The post has been taken down. So I don't know if maybe they're changing it or maybe they got enough entries or maybe Laguna Biotch and Trojene Spears were tagging many times in it. I love that we both were we wrote essays to them. Immediately. Yeah, I mean, too. Honestly, I had a moment where I was like, Trojene, I should just be fucking invited. I don't even want to write an essay. I know. Like who else is talking about this network this often? I know. Then I sat down and I typed it out. Yeah. That's hilarious. We probably were doing it at the same time. Definitely. Let's talk about Ms. Taylor Swift and I'm not doing my usual disclaimer. Okay. I am not because I am the way people are reacting to these songs as if they're

like the worst songs in the world. If these four songs were an encore of red, yes, you can be as mad as you want. If it's an encore in 1989, sure. But it's the life of the show girl and that album wasn't good to begin with. So these four songs are just kind of like, okay. Like her patient zero, I think it has like a catchy chorus. The bridge is shockingly bad because Taylor Swift is known for her bridges. But like, I don't know. I'm like, at this point, we all need to stop being surprised that we don't like Taylor Swift's music. I'm surprised that you and I feel similarly about this because I thought I didn't know how you would feel about it. But I think that the Taylor Swift hate is becoming so performative that now that thing is happening where I'm going. I'm going to the other side where I'm like, okay, you guys are doing a little too much. Like the songs are bad. Cleveland is insane. Cleveland is insane. Like it is arguably one of, if not the worst song of her

career. Like to me, I put that song in the same category as me. Yeah. Where it's like, this is absolutely unbelievable. I agree. What's the other one called? There's like Babylon, pink clouds or pink clouding. Patient zero. Patient zero, yeah. That one is like completely fine outside of the bridge. And I actually liked the video. I thought it was really cool. I thought it was shot really well. And people online are losing their minds being like, Joe was poisoning her drinks and I'm like, oh my god. I'm like, we need to leave Joe all went out of this at this point. Like, we know he didn't make her feel bejeweled. We know that he didn't want to be seen with her or whatever that was. Like, you gotta let Joe be free. Yeah. I feel like there's, you know, there's this huge conversation right now around like her writing has gotten bad. Like because of this relationship, she's not inspired and blah, blah, blah, blah. And I just think that Taylor has had to pivot her way of making music and stuff because this man is like, he's the first JZ to her

Beyonce. Like, he's woven into her shit in a way that like, you know, Jake Gyllenhaal just wasn't like this man is like a part of her brand. No, it's not just like one of the many men that she's dated that show like write some songs about they are a business like they're in LLC. Like Taylor and Travis. So I think that she has to like be more careful about how she makes music around him because it can affect her so much more than in the past when she wrote songs about men. I agree. And I have to push back because a lot that I see on embushing neck on like strangers on the internet and not you Troy. But I keep seeing people being like, well, if you don't like Cleveland, it's because you've never been in love the way that Taylor's been in a lot of time. I only have to say I am with someone. I am lucky enough to have a partner that if I'm nervous to podcast with someone, she sits in the room with me to calm me down. Like, I woke up this morning and she'd been awake since 3 a.m. her first thing was did you win fantasy last night?

Like, because I was talking about it. So I am with someone who's been to nine beyond the blind shows to support me. Like, I am with someone who loves me loud and proud and I still don't like fucking Cleveland. Like, I don't know what to say. Like, that is one thing that really like, I guess maybe triggers me because I waited so long to find like a good person. But I hate that argument that people have online. And yeah, like even her lyric video showing Travis like driving, I'm like, oh, she's trying to recreate certain moments with Joe because in her documentary, she has a moment driving with Joe where she's like kissing his hand and she's driving or whatever. So yeah, that was kind of like me just being crazy at the moment. But yeah, people are just out of their minds about Taylor Swift. But I think she wants this because she wants to re-release reputation and capture that moment again. But like, when reputation came out, she was basically gone for over a year. We didn't see her. We didn't like hear from her at all. And I don't think there's anything wrong with any artist, whether it's Taylor Swift or Beyonce or Justin Timberlake or anyone taking a couple years off.

I think it's actually really helpful. Look at what it does for Adele. She doesn't release music for like five years. And then whenever she does, it's a massive thing. I wish more people did it because that's like back in the day what used to make an album so special. Like when Madonna took years and years and years between an album and then she would release like confessions, it was like, oh my fucking god. Like it was like all the more mind blowing that the album was good. I do think that there's something really fascinating though about the fact that she's so forever 21. She, her artistry has hit some sort of ceiling. And I do think that Taylor, and I'm not saying this in like a sexist way, but I think just the nature of the beast, like, she's like kind of aging out of being like the most talked about young girl with a guitar in the whole country. Like that is like no longer. Yeah. And I do think that it's really insane to see

a person who holds so much power, who has been so celebrated and awarded and has so much like control over the world to be in such a slump artistically. Yeah. It's really something else. I just feel like I've never seen anything like it. It's like watching an artist that we would consider the most successful, most famous artists of our time, kind of losing their thing. Yeah. It is really weird. And then there are people who are like, it's supposed to be bad. It's like that's the craziest. Yeah. And if she came out with Shake It Off right now, it wouldn't be a hit. It's like, because she's 36. Again, not too ages, but that was cute when she was 22, 23. Like that is fine. But your music has to kind of mature with your audience, but she still does pivot towards like the younger audience always. Yeah. I'm just shocked by the lack of like

inspiration that she has. And also, I do agree with the people that are like, you should have more to write about. Like, why are you still writing about haters? And I know I actually agree with your reputation thing. Like I think that that makes sense. But I'm just like, you're in love, right? You found the man of your dreams. And what you are mustering up is like, I got the ring. Na na na booboo. Y'all are mad. Bitches is mad. I'm in white. You mad. Stay man. I had the wet like bitch. Nobody wants that man. Are you kidding me? Are you insane? Like that's what you have to write about. The happiest allegedly the happiest year of your life is like, Na na na booboo. Like, I'm just shocked by that. The lack of inspiration. Like right about being happy. Right about like the things that this man actually does that makes you happy. Like it just feels like I do have to say I agree that it feels like there's a lack of, it's like the well is dry. And that's okay. It's okay to be in a

happy relationship. Like that is totally fine. But I feel like every song about Travis is just like, I like you because you like me and you like to fuck me and you have a big dick. And y'all are mad. Yeah. I guess the K-Linakool stuff really gets to her in a way that like she can't really talk about. Yeah. Yeah. I wish that she was more open and more susceptible to the criticism because I actually do think it would benefit her to actually take in some of what people say. Because especially at this point, it's not haters. It's her fans. Like if the Swift ologist is on the internet crashing out because he wants to like your music so bad but can't, that's a problem. You should listen. Which by the way, the Swiftologist's podcast, the episode that he released about these songs is so good. It is so so so you would really love it. Like such a level headed discussion about Taylor and like from some, it's like if Britney

was releasing music and I thought it was bad. I would expect that my it'd be a level headed like really, you know, decent conversation about it. That's hard to deal with his take was. Yeah. I'm honestly shocked that people are this upset about Patient Zero. Like outside of the bridge, it's fine. The music video, it's shot really well. Is it weird that Matthew Stafford is in it? The quarterback of the LA Rams, I was like, what the fuck is going on? Was this filmed at your wedding? Like what is going on? But Babylon was a fine song. But yeah, Cleveland, Cleveland's taken a beating. And that sucks. I'm like, what the fuck? I was so excited to hear like what she would sing about. I was like, what? Cleveland? It's like not that, not that being the worst one. I know. She was just saying about Paris and New York City, London. That was crazy. I was like, whoa, like I always thought me was like the worst Taylor Swift song. Like I always put that up there with like the lowest of her ability. And now I'm like, we have a

new contender. I know. It's my home state. I'd rather listen to stay, stay, stay. I think that felt good to release. Yeah, it does feel good. And I think like at the end of the day, like Taylor Swift has been a huge part of my life. I liked her from like 15 or 16 up until about 31 32. So there's no part of me that's like, you know, I'm like excited to hate honor. And I think people think that we're excited to hate honor. Yeah. Like no, I have her lyrics tattooed on my arm. Like her music has meant so much to me my entire life. I would love to be able to sink my teeth into another song. And I've had very erotic romances with her albums. Like I have had very intense entanglements with different songs and albums. Like there have been years where my Apple music at the end of the year is like, damn bitch, you really liked dress. Huh? Fucking psycho. Like I like her music. I've never been so moved by it that I'm like, wow, this woman is the next Michael Jackson.

But I've liked her albums. So it's like, I'm really not like a hater. You know, I would rather like the music than not like it. I'd rather want to listen to it than not. One of my favorite artists of all time to relieve songs like, really songs like Cleveland. If Kelly Clarkson released a song like Cleveland, I'd say the exact same shit. I will say I have really enjoyed watching her fans be in psychosis trying to. It's like watching people try to eat cough syrup and say that they like it. And they're just like their faces all contorted and recoiling. But they're like, uh huh. Oh my God. It's like the scene in bridesmaids where she's sweating. I would love another almond. Like those Australian girls, those poor girls, they are getting. And I watched them kind of regularly. Because you know, I love a reaction video and seeing the whole world turn them into a meme. But it it's like, how can you not like them? But first of all, the girl with the dark hair,

you can literally watch in the video where she knows it's bad. Yeah. And she just has to keep. Because Taylor has acknowledged them. Like she's written them letters and said, like I like your your YouTube channel. So now they have to be careful. They can't like disappoint her. Another reason that I actually like the Swiftologist because she's acknowledged him too, but he still gives his honest opinion. But that moment where you could tell she knew the song was bad and just was trying to it's like, what are you doing? Like not. You actually like Cleveland is like sending you into this like, oh my God. Come on. I want to know that where are deep into this. I feel like I can finally have this conversation. I saw prime time. Okay. And I do not know how I feel about it. I left at the end of being like, damn, that was so good. What a good movie. The acting. But then I like sat with it for like a day. And I was like, why did they make like a hit piece about Chris Hansen?

And like, why did they try to make it feel like what he did was like bad that he was it's a really weird perspective for the movie. I was so conflicted about it that when I left the theater, I just started like putting the notes in the notes app because I was like overwhelmed. This is what I wrote. I don't even remember writing this. Okay. I said, I feel really conflicted about how this movie made me feel. On one hand, I walked away feeling like, cinematically, it was a masterpiece. It was shot beautifully. It was completely era accurate down to the most intricate details, which that was crazy. Like, it was so like, what is it? 2006, I should I want to say, it was insane. Everything from the Diet Coke cans to the internet to the clothes they were wearing, the commercials. There's a moment where he goes to subway and Jared is in the, like the, the signage. But it's not like aggressive. It's just like you're in the world, you know? That was incredible. I said,

Robert Pattinson's acting was amazing. Everybody's acting in the movie was out of this world. My confliction comes from the angle that this movie chose to take to villainize, to catch a predator, to make it seem like the show was nothing but evil. And to make Chris Henson seem like a narcissistic shallow, vapid, Troy McClure style television personality who didn't actually care about children, or doing any good for the community. They portrayed him as someone who only cared about objects and money and ratings as someone who was completely void of all humanity, a terrible husband, a horrible father, totally cold, no emotion. It was really odd. Like, they hated Chris Henson. It was really a very interesting perspective to take because, sure, you could say that Chris was like a fame hungry whatever. But to catch a predator, they were like trying to do good. Yeah, that's why I haven't seen it because I did see that they try and make you feel bad for the pedophiles. And that's a pill that's really tough for me to swallow. It was odd. And like,

I understand, you know, to catch a predator, it's like the most controversial thing about to catch a predator is that they didn't always follow protocol. So they would do things to make good TV, but then it would sometimes make the situation more dangerous because that person was unable to like walk the streets because they couldn't put him in jail because they didn't follow the proper protocols to put him away. So they would sometimes do more harm than good. But that wasn't what the movie was about. It was about how Chris is just like this fame hungry narcissistic psychopath who doesn't care about anything except for ratings and like looking good or whatever. It was weird. Like it was beautifully shot. It was so the way that it was just like shot so well. And like I said, it was so era accurate. It was like madmen down to like every little detail was perfectly like I was like, wow, I'm in high school. I'm in high school right now. Like this is

crazy. But yeah, I didn't really understand the angle they took. I mean, I thought Robert Pattinson was insane. And also Merritt Weaver who does not get enough credit. She was incredible in Nurse Jackie. She's so good in Severance. New girl. She was good. The walking dead. She's like a scene stealer. She eats up the scenes, but she never gets like the credit. I feel like she really deserves. She was spectacular in this movie. But yeah, I still even right now, I just like don't know how I felt about it, especially because I loved to catch a predator. Like I loved that show. So I was like, I'm the target audience to go see this movie. And I was like, why did they try to make it seem like Chris Hansen was the devil for doing this? Interesting. Yeah. Well over the weekend, I watched a Unibomber movie on Netflix. Welcome back, Jacob Tremblay. I've been waiting for your return. He is my Dakota fanning. The way you love Dakota fanning is how I feel about Jacob Tremblay.

I've only watched Room once. That's probably all I'll ever watch it. And he was so incredible in that movie. And watching him in this Unibomber bomber movie, I was like Timothy Shalame, take a seat. Jacob Tremblay is back. It was just so good. And your enemy Russell Crowe is in it. But he plays like an evil person. So just throwing that out there. But it goes between like the 1950s to the 1994 when they caught him. So it jumps from like, I don't know, time jumps back and forth. Shalame, Woodley, one day will win an Oscar. She is so good. And even though whenever we talk about her, we always praise her. I feel like she still doesn't get the credit she deserves as an actor. And in this movie, she's 10 out of 10. My only complaint is I actually wish this was a mini series. I wish there was more. Like when it ended, it did a great job. I think it's like an hour and 40 minutes. So it's not super long. But I just wish there was more. And it's about like his time in Harvard and how they were doing studies on his mind because they knew he was schizophrenic.

Oh, interesting. Yeah. So they wanted to see how they could break him. But in the end, like, he was kind of smarter than everyone else. And yeah, it's just it's really, really good. They did a great job with it. She will win an Oscar one day. She will. And she deserves to. I put that on my story and someone was like, what about secret lives of the American teenager? I'm like, how about you shut the fuck up? She did her best with what she had. So she just hate people sometimes. I want to talk about American horror story. Okay. So American horror story is back, obviously. And I think that everybody watching this is collectively. We're all just watching it for Jessica. Like we want to watch Jessica eat up these scenes, which she is like these like six minute monologues where she is just breath taking like she is just like on another level. She's one of the best actors to ever exist. She'll even take some of Ryan Murphy's like worst writing and make it so incredible. Like I feel

like when she's on screen, I just don't blink. And I'm just so happy to see her back on this fucking show. Like all her old characters, like just even seeing her interacting with Evan Peters. And and and and Billy like it's just like, it's a nostalgia bomb. But I'm here for it. I kind of feel like if everybody else is doing nostalgia shit and rebooting and whatever. Why not Ryan Murphy? Like this show has such a long list of incredible characters and actors. So it's like, I'm here for it. I've really enjoyed it. I know people are really conflicted about it. And a lot of people are saying that they're having a hard time following the story, which I get before watching the season. I saw there was like a list going around on. I want to say either Twitter or threads or maybe on Reddit. I don't know. There was a list going around on the internet of the episodes that you should rewatch to remind you of like these old characters from season one throughout. And I did

that. So I'm like not really having a hard time following it. And I just think it's like, I'm like loving it. Like I will say the only downside is that it's weird to see these American horror story characters from the show's like greatest era. Like when it was like the most beautiful cinematic, like just a masterpiece of like camera work and lighting. Like we were getting like like movie quality cinematography every single week on this show. Like just amazing, amazing, amazing shots. It's weird to watch those characters that you know from when the show was shot much better now in this like Netflixification of everything. It all looks really flat. And like under saturated. I have a really hard time sometimes even seeing what's going on in the scenes because like everything is just like a mush of black. You just can't see anything. Nothing is like lit anymore. Yeah. So that sucks. Like it's weird scene like Jessica Lang who like left the

show before it got like bad in this lighting. I'm like, um, not even Ryan Murphy can save the the lighting crisis happening in TV and film. But I'm just like having so much fun. Like I love American horror story. It's even seen like Emma Roberts. And you can tell some of these scenes where I and Murphy like made them to be memes. Like he made them so that gaze would repost them. And that we take the bait immediately. But it's so good. And I thought it like I like seeing Emma turn around and give her a stupid little quote. I was like, oh, we're back. So I'm having so much fun watching this show. If you have not like started it or maybe you're like you've gotten back on the American horror story train because I know a lot of us have just stopped watching it. It's worth it. It's worth it. It's about to get back into it. Well over the weekend, I listened to Tenashi's new album pop star. And I am not a super hyper pop girlie. That's not typically my favorite. This is so fun. It is such a fun album to like get your steps to because that's all I fucking do

now. It's like trying to get my steps. But she has this song. Nobody want to dance anymore that I'm obsessed with. I am so obsessed with it. And she's someone who like I think deserves a lot more credit than she's been given. And I hope that this album does really well because I know no broke boys. Like people love that song. But yeah, if you if you like her, this is a really fun like dance album. It was crazy. I was listening to it in my AirPods and it was the second song. And it felt like I was like inside a club speaker. I was like, well, like I felt old for the first for the first time in a while. I was like, oh my god. I feel like I'm inside a speaker. But it's really fun. It's a really fun album. She's so good. She is really good. She's so good. I love her song with Brittany, the remix to Sombra Party. Yeah. I know. And I feel like Brittany really liked with her. Did you see that the last of the pit children has gotten rid of their names? Zahara got rid of pit. It's official. They're all done. That's so wild. I know. Like it's so crazy that

that is a thing that's happening publicly. And Brad is still just like out here promoting movies and shit. And his children are one by one disowning him. I would love it if someone got brave on a red carpet and asked him about it. Yeah, I know. I would give anything for somebody to actually ask a, because like for you to have the nerve to still be out here like smizing and shit on red carpets while your children are publicly cutting you off is crazy. It's like take that beautiful facelift and get the fuck out of my face. Yeah. I know. Your shout out to Zahara, the last of the Elm Street children. Good for her. Yeah. Well, Paulie D got engaged over the weekend. Him and Nikki got engaged at Encore Beach Club in Vegas in front of a crowd. And my immediate thought was long time coming. You know, I've never stopped watching Jersey Shore still watched every season. But also like they want to get another show. They want to make sure that they're going to be on a show and him proposing so publicly after like the final season of Jersey Shore family vacation.

Nikki's like we haven't even talked about getting engaged, but I hope he proposes one day. Now all of a sudden he's proposing now that the show is over. Come on. He does like a helicopter proposal. Yeah. But shout out to them. And honestly him proposing on top of his DJ set just feels right. Do you think that he would get a show? Do you think that there's like enough people that would watch a show with him? I don't know. Just Paulie. But I'm shocked that like they haven't said family vacations moving over to Paramount to begin with. And obviously the show sucks. It does have very funny moments. But for the most part, it's like like I just like watching the people from Jersey Shore. I don't know what to tell you. Have any of the boys ever had a spin-off show? Paulie did. Oh right. Yeah. He was like Paulie's world. And did Vinnie? Vinnie and Paulie both had shot at love. But I don't think Vinnie had like a solo show. Actually, I guess he had a dating show when Paulie found Paulie found Nikki on shot of love. So I think that Vinnie had a solo dating show that Paulie hosted or something. I don't know. I didn't watch any of that. Didn't he have a show about his family?

In 2013, he had a hybrid talk in reality show centered around him interviewing celebrities at his home in Staten Island. At his house? Yeah. And his mom would like make them food or whatever. I'm like a true Vinnie hater. So never saw that one. I hate him. He is. He's such a fucking downer. I know. He's a loser. And now he's just like now people want to have sex with me again because I'm on TV again. And it's so we're ringing. I know. Remember when he did Chippendails? And then everybody was like, Oh, his penis is really small. That was like the big takeaway that his penis was extremely tiny. And he stopped doing it. Well, on a very sad note, we got to talk about the Jewish family. Oh yeah. So this video has gone viral, which like TMZ is just so I guess TMZ just knows that they're going to hell. So they're just like, let's just let it rip. Like let's just be as evil as we want. It's interesting how sometimes they'll be like really,

really good. Like the Wendy Williams thing. I think that they thought that was going to get them maybe not directly to hell. Like they'd be able to go up to heaven for a second then draw. Yeah. But yeah, I mean, they really are one of like the most reputable news sources in our country, though, which is so frustrating. Maybe right now isn't the right word. But you know what I mean? Trusted. Trusted. I don't know. I mean, if you see something on TMZ, people usually believe it. If somebody they're like the authority, like, yeah, they're the first alert you get. You're not getting like the Huffington Post alert. You're getting TMZ, you know? So they posted body cam footage of Melania and Teresa and Gia like at the airport while Melania is like clearly in like a manic episode. I don't know. I will say it was nice in the comments. Like pretty much everybody was like, this is a young girl that just lost her friend, her childhood friend, like watched her die. You know, she's already had so much trauma. She's been on television since before she can remember.

And I just think like, you know, the really sad thing like we obviously just talked about next gen because they just had the reunion. And what's so sad about these Bravo kids is that they don't know their life not on camera. And there are some that handle it really well like Gia who is like preentified and she's like going on 47 years old. But then there are ones like Melania where it's like it's not happening that way. And it's really sad because Melania is so clearly addicted to like the dopamine of the internet and people's opinions and being watched. It kind of reminds me of like child star trauma where it's like people wonder why they're you know like why would you be posting or why would you be putting yourself out there if the world is like being mean to you or if you're in a bad space. And it's like it's all they've ever known like Melania has never not had cameras in her house. And she has been scaring me on the internet for a while now like her TikToks are

very manic. And then in the the body came footage like she talks about you know drugs and and going being hospitalized and just like stuff that the public just like doesn't need to know about this is a article from people is this Teresa break silence on daughters significant psychological trauma during difficult past few months she says Teresa broke her silence on what she describes as her daughter Melania's significant psychological trauma a phrase not Teresa did not come up with but that's okay. But thought of Teresa saying that phrase actually is so funny. I know I know the woman who says ingredients is it says on Monday September 28th Teresa 54 a shared a statement on Instagram addressing her 20 year old daughter is well being and asking for privacy during a difficult time as a mother there's nothing more important to me than the health safety and well being of my children. The past few months have been incredibly difficult for our family

and I feel it's important to say something while also protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time Melania has experienced tremendous heartbreak and significant psychological trauma after losing two of her best friends grief affects everyone differently and watching a child try to process that kind of loss is something no parent can ever truly prepare for. Teresa went on to say that her focus is making sure Melania is surrounded by love family support and the care that she needs while she acknowledges that her family lives in the public eye Teresa said that her priority is to protect her she's a young woman going through an incredibly difficult and deeply personal time and she deserves the opportunity to heal without every moment of her pain being analyzed publicly. It's like well yeah you kind of can't ask for that after having every moment of her life including the birth of some of your children be on TV yeah that must be a really tough line to walk because like obviously Melania at that time couldn't say I want to be on TV right it wasn't her choice to be on TV but like you made sure she was in front of the camera her entire

life in like I don't know I get what she means and I think Bravo fans I've talked about this on the podcast like I think that a lot of times they're really nasty to people to a point where they're like I want to see blood you know because this person cheated on this person and it's awful but I do have to say a lot of the fans that I've seen commenting have been really nice and like really respectful about Melania yeah we don't really play when it comes to those kids to be honest really dull especially the ones that we watched grow up like yeah it's yeah and that family has been through so much and we've like watched you know we watched them have their parents go to jail we've seen their no and none no pass away on TV like they've gone through their dad is deported and can't come back like we have watched them go through so much so I do think that in general people are kind of protective of them yeah but it is a crazy thing to ask for people to give you privacy when like you had you know you're showing someone's birth yeah yeah and it's the family

business you know like yeah I even think it's interesting when Gia was like talking to her boyfriend on next Jan about cameras and he's like I don't always want to be on camera and she's like well that's a problem yeah it's it's sad and how old is she like 21 22 maybe she is 20 all I can say is I'm really glad that when I was 20 like we just had Facebook and not all these other types of social media because if some of my moments were captured on camera wouldn't be great yeah I know that's what sucks is like just it's gonna live on forever and you know and she's just posting and posting posting and posting and posting and it's crazy and the comments are disgusting oh well I haven't seen those comments let's take talk it's take talk I mean you know yeah I'll get in there and start fighting you guys know I go through these phases where I'm like okay I'm finally going to clean up my closet and then I end up finding pieces I completely forgot that I even owned

videos on tiktok two of julia being interviewed about it and also like the incarcerated women talking about why this is so important and how it helps them kind of forget about what they're dealing with in prison so if you want to look at uh julia fox book club on tiktok wow that's so cool listen we need somebody to do the book club now definitely so i don't know how this happens every time we release an episode but there was a florins pew and a livia moment and i was like what is going on like what is happening it's like the early days of beyond the blinds again that used to happen all the time when we first started this podcast yeah it was crazy it was always immediately after the episode came out but tmz posted florins pew is leaving those Olivia wild feud questions unanswered she tells vanity fair that she's she would rather focus on her life and career she hasn't seen Olivia's the invite but she says she's

heard great things about the film in its cast Olivia has already denied the rumor don't worry darlings screaming match telling the cut in july that it never happened like how random i'm sorry no shade to misflow no shade to misflow but why is she doing this right now because she's done a couple things to like hinted the don't worry darling drama i'm like i don't even know if she has a movie coming out does she just want her name in the press not that i'm mad about mess i beg for celebrity mess all the time i'm just curious why now it is interesting yeah and then she did like a recreation of the apparel sprits thing and like you know i don't know i don't know i don't know what is going on like does she just listen to the episode and she's she's on one like yeah um this is let's see this is from aol aol.org which actually it's from okay magazine somebody uh commented on what our i just have to

to where she is today that there were other topics pew said the interview had already covered things that were important to her and on track with her current life the actress did however have something positive to say about wilds professional life pew revealed that she hadn't watched the movie blah blah blah blah blah it was fantastic it's like are you moved on for a minute because again you just did that like the barbells but there's for apparel spritzes so for i don't know it is messy i can't i like love it it's giving like it's very old school it's fun what do you think of machine gun kelly and decoded johnson allegedly dating Troy he must just be really good in bed he has to be also though he's not ugly especially with his hair transplants i do not think he's ugly it's just decoder loves a musician she does and this will be interesting to see play out i hope it's a fling i hope this is just a fling

yeah i hope so too he like for some reason gives i like to go down on a woman for like to the point of it's been 12 hours and i haven't come up for air he just gives that to me and i hope that that's what she's experiencing yeah people think they met at tailor and travis is wedding and they've been hooking up ever since so i'm gonna be watching this couple very closely i might not talk about it every week but just know i'm watching it i will say it was making me laugh that people were like because you know people say she can act or whatever on us i know and they're like even in tailor's music video she's like kind of struggling to emote and then that did make me laugh it is funny also what i meant to i forgot to add this to the tailor so with music video obviously this song is going to be in decoder johnson's new movie right obviously yeah totally yeah i just wanted to make that clear i forgot to mention it before yeah if this was 10 years ago decoder would have been a superhero in the bad blood music video oh yeah she would for sure 1000 percent she'd be next to

lina with a machine gun or whatever lina's spoken that giant cigar at the beginning yeah maclamore is starting his own music festival i saw that honestly go for him yeah it's called maclamore and friends free palestine tour so it's um Dublin, Paris and London and it's happening in October which is crazy that they were able to do that so fast and good for him like that's a sick and can we just say the craziest part of all this is ed sheeran's jolette stadium concert got canceled anyway because of the weather i know that is that must be i can't even imagine i i i would probably never be able to live with that like that would actually eat away at me for like the rest of my life i know i'd be like i have enough money i'm just gonna say i'm retiring yeah yeah like i'm just gonna shelly devolve out of the limelight and just become reclusive who else is a part of the festival have they announced the other artists is it all the

openers for ed sheeran i don't let me see if there's an update because the flyer doesn't have it wow his song is like charting again too wow also everyone i meant to say stream thrift shop not stream pawn shop my bad oh my god i forgot about it i can't believe i didn't catch that until somebody commented it and i was like what i know i know i don't think they've announced who also be there yet but ed sheeran is like continuously losing like so many followers online it's crazy well the last thing i have is john mayor is going to be headlining the sphere in the spring of 2027 he's already done the sphere with deading company and i always forget that john mayor has like a true cult following like david math used band following when it comes to john mayor and i think john mayor is going to do a great job with the sphere i think that he'll have a great set list that'll probably change every night because i know someone who toured with him and said that every

night john mayor would just say this is the set list figure it out uh so yeah i'm not going to say shout out to john mayor but that is what is taking over this fear next year i wonder what it'll look like like when i think of artists doing this fear like when i think of like no doubt i picture like california and oranges and checker print and gwinds nails and you know and then when i think of like every pretty much every band i can like picture what like backshade boys like i immediately see like surfboard the those space surfboards and all the shit what does it what is john mayor's visual representation like what it will be on the screen i think it's going to be a lot of backroads i think it's going to be a lot of like you're driving in a car type of such a way okay pick up truck shit yeah like just a lot of a lot of earth behind you okay i'm telling you i guess the theme is earth the theme is driving as are many of his songs yeah um my last thing was just that johnathan

Taylor Thomas got arrested for kicking a police officer and i'm obsessed it says johnathan Taylor Thomas detained after alleged deputy kick it says that he was detained after allegedly kicking a sheriff during a dui investigation and west lake village in california the 45-year-old actor was a passenger when deputies encountered the vehicle early on early monday september 21st authorities say that he repeatedly interrupted their investigation before the alleged kick according to the los angeles county sheriff's department the deputies found the car stopped at a green light and approaching an approach to check the driver who appeared intoxicated as they conducted field sobriety tests Thomas allegedly kept getting out of the passenger seat and approaching them the department said that he appeared intoxicated and distracted deputies from doing their work when they attempted to detain him on suspicion of obstruction and public intoxication authorities alleged that he kicked a deputy in his stomach it says Thomas was booked at in malibu

as a writing this no criminal charges have been filed the sheriff's department said that it planned to submit a case to the ventura county district attorney's office it's crazy that he is able to maintain such privacy you know and then he'd like ran it against crazy when celebrities that like are very private do a random thing like this yeah and it's like like what the fuck like what and we haven't heard about him in probably like 15 years now all of a sudden he was on instagram a few months ago being posted in a picture now he's fighting cops are we getting a jt t renaissance i hope so like died because he also just looks incredible like that's what it looks like to leave hollywood at your height and just age like a normal person he looks insane do you think he like has to work at all or does he just live off like lying king money i would imagine he just lives off of what he earned yeah you know i was thinking too good for him
