Debbie Kelly led a fabulous life in San Antonio, TX - a successful career, a giddy group of tennis-playing girlfriends, and a new house. But after she fell for her contractor (who was shadily slow-rolling the construction in order to spend time with her RED FLAG!!!!), things went horrifically wrong. One dark night in their home led to a terrible mistake - or was it? Grab an ice-cold Dr. Pepper and run a comb through your hair, Fam, and follow along with the story with us.

Lars is now, I believe, lying to Andrew Akannings face. He's telling now a fourth and fifth story, and Andrew goes, right, isn't the truth the truth? And Lars goes, yeah, but if you think it's gonna be the same every single time, then like you have another thing coming. And I'm like, well, then it's not the truth that. I'm just like, Lars, I've done the best I can for your hair, pal. Like, you know what I mean? The truth is the same thing every single time. Yeah. Hi, Julie Muthiwali. Hello Patrick Hines. Girl, what are we talking about today? Hello, bonus episode, girlies. I know. This is bonus episode 14. This is a very famous daylight episode. It's season 25, episode 39. Those numbers always count. Uh-huh. It's called the silhouette. And of course, Andrea Canning is our host. A dark house. A husband with a gun. A wife. Dead on the floor. A woman with a gun. A woman with a gun. A woman with a gun. A woman with a gun. A woman with a gun. A woman with a gun. A woman with a gun. A woman with a gun. B更lore. Makes sure that she is still breathing. I don't think she is.
Damn it. There was no question who killed her. The mystery was why. And here's the door squeaking. And I hear the ground blank. And I hear the dark growling. How could you not tell that you were a food store? He just kept saying he was an accident and he said, he didn't do anything wrong. No, is it? Before we get too into this, I want, I'm gonna do the Scott Peterson thing He's probably guilty, but I've got some questions. I know. I know. I know, I know. Well, you know who doesn't? The ladies of the San Antonio Racka Club. Don't get me started. These women love tennis more than anything. They have fun these days. They have fun these days. They, they, when you meet somebody who loves the thing as much as they love tennis, I'm like, tell me, am I missing out on not being a tennis girl? All right. Well, they say you can tell a lot about a person the way they play tennis. I'm like, can you? Like, what can you tell? And they get, and then it gets real heavy and they're like, it really brings out like the best or worse in you. I'm like, Jesus, really? Whatever happened to some light recreation, just to like get the blood flowing. I will say that I used to play tennis with Steve a lot. And like, it starts fun, but then you really get into it.
And you know what? I was really good at the line game. Oh, I was going to say, when did the noises start? Oh, I try not to grunt, but when it gets hot, I was really good at being able to hit the ball in a way that it would look like it was going to go out, but then not. Oh, that's the line game. That word's like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's when like anytime anyone makes a sound. Yeah. You have to be like, oh, yeah, right? Not as good as golf. It's just ping pong. It's just life. It is ping pong. If I may. But I love that they say like, who had the best character at their club? The answer comes as fast as a Serena Williams. A.K.S. earning that paycheck. So of course they're talking about Debbie. Yeah, Debbie Kelly. She's a whole package of a person. She's awesome. She's fun. She's fair. She's a great leader. She's independent. She's driven. I thought it was really funny that the first descriptor they use was fair. They're talking about tennis. Like they're talking about when they're playing tennis. Like if we can't really tell if it's in a way, let's just do the point over. When I say work hard play hard. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. These ladies are laughing. They're tails off at cocktail hour. But they beat the shit out of one of them
on the tennis court before. And you know what? I feel like they're the ones who do that thing. We're like, we're going to agree that what happens on the court stays on the court. Because I could easily get mad. And then like that would carry over into cocktails. I'm not fucking talking to Debbie today. It's just like, yeah. Why is this too good? See? See? But we also learned about Debbie. She spent many, many hours traveling and many hours working overtime. But Debbie hadn't found as much success in her personal life. She got married in her 20s, but it didn't work out. Now in her 40s and dedicated to her career, there was little time to look for the right guy. She's like super dedicated to her career. And it's really hard to date. And so we learned from the tennis gals that like Debbie really didn't like talking about her personal life at all. And I'm like, what would that even be like, Debbie? Like all I want to talk about is my personal life. But for her at this moment, it's all work. Yeah. So I think she wanted to like, now that she has, she gets this new job. But she has more time. And she's like, oh, that personal life thing
that I've kind of been putting on the back burner. Yeah. I'm ready to focus on it. Ladies, we're going to tennis. We ought to talk. Yes. And we, one of them is like the matchmaker. One of the tennis ladies is the match. And like Debbie hated it. But I love the tennis ladies being like, if she's ready to date, they're the match.com and the tennis court. Remember in the craft where they, they wanted to talk and they're like, ladies, we have to call the corners. These ladies are like, ladies were playing tennis. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's where they work it out. That's where they were told. And they're little tennis skirts and their visors. Like, tennis is a whole vibe. It's a whole vibe. We're saying all of this with love, by the way. Totally. I don't think I would be invited. Because I'd ask a lot of questions. And I'd have to be taught how to play. It's funny because I can kind of see you in the outfit. Like I can see you with the visor. I love a tennis skirt. Yeah. Daisy has a bunch of little tennis skirts now with skirts that she loves to wear. It's like her favorite outfit. I only wear skirts with protection underneath. Yeah, Daisy, the same. And she loves it. It's her favorite. I don't really understand, ladies, clothing, if I'm being completely honest. Yeah. Gone are the days of me doing the skirt down,
walking up the subway stairs. Oh, oh, yeah. In high school. But, you know, everyone knows that. It's just another thing I have to worry about with my kid all the time. Now we wear the shorts underneath. And show many things are built in. Yep. I love it. Anyway, Debbie bought a new house. Yeah. In a gated community. Because the thing about Debbie was that she was like, look, I don't need a man to like have my dream home, right? She's also renovating it by herself. Yeah. She's like going to Home Depot, deciding on the materials, doing the measurements, figuring out the sprinkler system. I love this. I'm very jealous for people for whom that's fun. It's like gardening. Like people, I have a friend who loves gardening. And I, it is, it just looks like back. I need my business to be my business and my pleasure to be my pleasure. I can't do like the hobby that's like a job. I love my plants, but I don't have a garden. I just have plants. We have to get, we have to buy plants that are like, these are the category of plants that never die. Cause like we will not water them.
Like I just, I don't know. And the days he actually really loves plants. Not like for any reason. You're not like trying to kill the plants. We buy plants just to watch it. You're like, I'm not like watering it. I'm like, that's the thing about plants. It was a day, it was like for that we were told the way to feed her. I was like, what now? Well, we have to do what now. I don't know that. Girl, rocket money is back. You know, fam, that we love this. And you know why? We send you stuff in the mail.
So anyway, be sure to come slash your crime obsessed. You can go to the link in the show notes. But anyway, she, she hires a contractor to like build a patio or whatever. It's 2012. The guy's name is Lars Itso. But once work got underway, Lars seemed in no rush to finish the job. She was getting very frustrated. And she says like, I wish this person would finish. But Lars' siblings, Ken and Christie. So he wasn't dragging things out for the money. He had no tearier motive. It turns out Lars is like, Teehee, I've been lying to you and wasting your time. My money and patience. Because I think you're pretty. And I'm like, what's next? You're going to push her on the playground? I know. I hate no. And sister Christie's like totally do it. Totally lie to her and use your weaponizing competence to try to get a date from this smart, beautiful woman. It did really feel like, wait a second. Like he's, he's according to the sister, Lars is sticking around the house, like not completing the job because he wants to like flirt with Debbie. Now, if I learned, if I've learned anything from the money pit, which is a great money
thing, great many things, is that even though they say two weeks, it's never two weeks. Of course, right? Of course. But that's not even what we're talking about. That's not what we're talking about here. But I get it two weeks is never two weeks. No, but it's like, isn't it by the hour job? Like, is that what this is? I don't know what it is. It's got to be some code of ethics with like the contractors. I'm sure there is, but he's a stupid idiot man. I know. Now, to quote Paul Avery, this can no longer be ignored. There's a hairdo here. There's a hairdo. So Lars' brother Ken. Ken has an enviable amount of hair. He, like, I don't know how old he is, but he's got so much hair. Let me paint a picture. Yeah. Johnny Bravo cosplay. Yes. Putting Paulie D to shape. Yes. Straight up. Imagine you just like take spaghetti and just stick it straight up on your head. Straight. And it's so thick. I, and it looks. And Johnny Bravo. It looks him, like, like it's done on purpose. Like, it looks like he wants it to look that way. For sure is done on purpose. Like he's using hair, like you could do anything with hair. When you have hair like that, the world is your oyster.
Now, here's the thing. At first, I thought this was Lars. Oh, yeah. You know, his brother Ken. So because we keep seeing these old photos and I'm like, this dude looks exactly like Mitch Hedberg. Like, yeah, yeah. If this guy Lars decided that this was the best look for Dateline and Andrea Canning and the idiot sisters like, oh my god, you look amazing. Yeah. It's not Lars. It's his brother Ken. Yeah. And then, like, if he's Lars, we'll get back to that in a minute. Oh, okay. Like, no matter how you slice it, it's an insane hairdo. It's the kind of thing too that, like, it feels like it would, like, requires an intervention. Like, somebody's got to say to him, like, you gotta stop doing that with your hair. Someone should have not let him go on camera like that. Yes. Because also, when you do these documentaries, we've done a handful. Like, you get hair and makeup. Somebody in the makeup trailer was like, oh, you want to keep it like that. Especially when you do your own glam, which I do much to my detriment, I think. No. Most of the time. But I, you've seen me say, like, I'm not precious about it, like, to all, like, the grips and the crew.
I'd be like, if I got anything going on that's out of place, can you let me know? Do you know? Because I don't, if there's not someone on set for that, I'll be like, guys, don't get weird. What's on the teeth? Yeah. The hair, whatever, like, please tell me. Somebody, Dateline, let him down. Yeah. I'm gonna just say, Dateline, somebody at Dateline should have said that. Because you know what happened? He goes, I'm doing this. Yeah. Do you guys have a hairdryer? So here's the thing, Lars and Debbie start dating, like, it worked. And at two, Andrea? I know. Because Andrea goes, she's the petite powerhouse, meaning Debbie. He's the 62 Nordic He-Man at two, Andrea. The thing is, too, we got it. We're kicking it old school here because we learned that this guy who's just a guy into board games and restoring muscle cars. I'm saying far away. So far, we've met two guys who are into muscle cars. I know. I don't like either of them. I know. So sorry, another strike for the muscle car community. Well, listen, while we're there, because I'm about to get in trouble, this guy loves drinking Dr. Pepper. About a case a day. I mean, he's had a lot of Dr. Pepper.
I'm at least a 12-pack, I know. I've never heard of someone drinking that much Dr. Pepper. I thought I would kill him. It doesn't drink a lot of alcohol at all. Just Dr. Pepper. He drinks a case of Dr. Pepper a day. As Christy tells us with a giggle. Oh my god. Oh my god. Steve, my husband loves Dr. Pepper. He loves Dr. Pepper. I hate it too. I hate it. I hate it. But the thing is, the people who love Dr. Pepper love it. They grew up on this stuff. And your cannings on our side. Because she was too stunned to speak. Oh yeah. And she's not charmed by it. She's annoyed by it. She's like, wow, I've literally never heard of someone drinking that much Dr. Pepper. Listen, do you live your life? Nobody should be drinking a case of any kind of soda a day. That is insane behavior. A case is crazy. A case is 24 cans? Or is it 12? She said 12. It's like 12 packs. Okay. That's still a lot. 12 cans of soda. If you're doing that, you gotta be brushing your teeth three times a day. I am. Or else they're just gonna fall out of your mouth. That is absolutely crazy. But in that moment, at that point, you could tell Andrew's like, oh, it's gonna be a long
day with these people. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now, I should tell you that at this point, I still thought that this was Lars. Oh. And then I'm like, is this bitch speaking in the third person? Because Andrea goes, I've never heard of someone drinking that much, Dr. Pepper. I'm thinking Lars is saying I thought it would kill him. He doesn't drink a lot of alcohol at all. And I'm sitting there and you know, like in the movies where someone's like walking and it's quiet and then you're a click, like Jurassic Park. Oh, yeah. And then the person does the like slow turn in a horrible thing or like jaws like the the dolly zoom and jaws. Totally. It's like, it's coming in. Yeah. I paused. I went back. I had the captions. And then I realized, date line, you bastards, you know, this is why we need the lower thirds. Have you ever been boozelled by a person in a date line episode tweet us at day line? Because we because us, day line didn't have the lower thirds that just makes sense. Have we here at day line ever banned booze will you into not knowing exactly who was speaking
or when? Yes, you have date. We're living it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know why because they're so good. They're so professional, but it was a harrowing through like few minutes for me, especially that moment of like thinking that we have to deal with a guy who's like speaks in third person. That would be that would be one of those calls where I'm like, she'd be, I don't think I can do that. Hair number one. Yeah. Then this bitch, the third, yeah, he, he, I'm like, he's not a third person guy. I get it. Yeah. I had a moment. I really was the like, you hear the Velociraptor and Jurassic Park. You see, and I was like looking over my shoulder like a heart like I'm in widow's bay. Uh-huh. Like what? But thank God now we're all on the same page. I just wanted to be honest. No. No. I think if we're walking us through that, the tennis friends meet Lars. Sure. They noticed Lars was a different sort of match for their friend. He's a very quiet client. I felt like she was really in love with them. I can understand her thinking, you know, maybe it's time to try something just different.
I know, maybe it's time to find something different. Maybe it's time to try something different. I'm like, oh, they hated him. They hated him. But the other thing, from Debbie's perspective, I can sort of see that being appealing. Like, I don't know. She's around the corporate types all day long. She's around like the guys who like know the Salon fork from the fucking soup spoon or whatever. Fine, but he lied. Yeah. He's deceiving her and costing her money. Yeah. And the job could have been great. And he's not only bad at the job, but he's lying to her. We're going to see the, he's bad. This is not the last time he's bad at a job. No. He's a contractor at all. It should be truly. He's just drinking Dr. Peperal day long. So after dating for a year, Lars and Debbie get married, and the first things are good. They're spending weekends with their family. They always start great. Of course. They're camping, whatever that is. They're enjoying the dog Cody. Do you want to take a minute? Cody's here. Yeah. I'm going to talk about Cody a lot. I know him in sufferable. That's totally fine. Well, Cody plays a role in my hat. Cody's a very big part of this. I'm happy that Cody's in good hands now. But anyway, Cody's great. Yeah. But they get married in this little chapel in Arkansas. Her parents are loving everything. But after two years, things started to change.
Well, because Debbie gets a big promotion. So it's like she's prone to device president of the company. She's traveling a ton. She's putting in more hours at the office. Yes, Debbie. And you would think husband Lars would be thrilled for her success. No, no, no. Because she's married to an asshole, he makes it all he hears is less time for me. And I got to say too, people don't change. If you married him because he's the kind of guy that's different from the people that you know, and he's the kind of guy that wants the wife. He's always going to be that way. And who is a liar? He's deceptive. Yeah. And not a good contractor. And insecure and an asshole. Yeah. And drinks a lot of doctor. Too much. That's as much more you smell it in the air. It's not to permeate your home. And doctor pepper does have that smell. Like doctor pepper has like a very, you know, listen, I am a mountain dew person all day every day. I know people feel the same way about mountain dew that they feel about doctor pepper. You either love it or you hate it. So different and flavors. So it's the same. It's a similar emotion. I grew up with with mountain dew. I'm a rider die for it to the day. I got to also say mountain dew. The diet mountain dew is the only diet soda I've ever tasted that actually tastes a lot like really like like mountain dew.
If you're telling me to pick one, it's mountain dew all day. For over doctor pepper. Yes. And while we're at it, get that black licorice away from me. Oh my god. To me, that's the same family of flavors. We are a house divided. Steve is a doctor pepper. I'm a mountain dew. So it makes for conflict. It makes for conflict. And you've been in therapy for the whole relationship for that. It was like 19 years old. Yeah. What are we getting there? Sure, sure, sure. Thoughts and prayers. Thank you, Noah. Girl, what not is a new sponsor, which I'm obsessed with because I love a deal. And I'm kind of obsessed with what they are. Tell us everything. So it's a live stream shopping platform and community marketplace. So if you're on there, you can buy and sell items through real time video auctions. Yeah. So if I'm here, here's how the app works, right? On what not, you're connecting with sellers and other shoppers. And it's like you're hanging out with a group that gets you. It's a fun way to shop. Yeah. And it's like everything is real time. Real people, real conversations, real deals. Yeah. So it went that you almost never pay full price. So you're shopping name brands across makeup, perfume, clothes, handbags, jewelry, and
more, all without retail sticker shop. And like you get to be with people who like to do that too while you're doing it. And you could also ask questions about the items. So you can comment in real time and the seller can be like, oh, here's a close up of this. Oh, here's what the bag looks like instead of just going on photos. I can ask them questions about the items in real time. I think it's brilliant. So fam, download what not today and get 20 bucks off your first purchase. Terms apply fam, get in there, find your community. This sounds incredible. Yeah, don't be scared of the terms terms always apply. So October 5th, 2015, Debbie got home from a work trip. She crashed early. Sweet little Cody did too because he missed her and he loves her. Yeah. So Lars, this is all from Lars, right? He goes to bed at around midnight, four hours later by 413 AM. Lars is calling 911. Yeah. And like we hear the 911 call like Debbie has been shot and is gravely wounded.
Yeah. 911 is saying I let you to lock over to her and make sure that she is still breathing. I don't think she is. Damn it. Oh. Oh. I don't think she is damn it. Oh. He literally does the hug. And we're going to do that thing that we don't like to do where we like throughout this. We're going to get a lot of like, how's he acting? Is he reacting the way people would? I have to say that for a man who just shot his wife, he is acting, he's acting and like, like I know that we don't know how we do. Oh, I think I'm doing it. Yeah. It's okay. Because he like, he really sounds annoyed. He's doing, he's whaling to the best of his ability. Filling it miserably. Ah. Yeah. I was like, oh, baby, right in the plug and chest. Oh my God. Can I tell you something? Now that we're like opening up and this is a safe space, someone I knew had a cousin and their license plate just said friggin. friggin. friggin. F-R-I-DoubleG-I-N friggin. Is that good? It feels like it's going to be the gun of muscle car. It's going to be the gun of muscle car. Stop.
Okay. I'm like, we don't like this. But there have to be like, right in the friggin' chest and I'm like, I should probably tell everyone what I know about a certain license plate. I'm really glad to hear that. Can you imagine if you shot Mike in the chest in the middle of the night, like you would be hysterical? It would be a major turning point in my life. For the worst. Yes, exactly. For the worst. It would be bad. I never know either. Fam, have you ever struggled with, is it the worst worst at date line? Worst or worse, whatever. It's bad, okay? So the cops get there and we see the body cam footage and like Lars is standing over Debbie. He's saying to the cops, I thought it was a burglar. See, here's the other thing where it's like, you're explaining that nobody cares what you thought right now. The entire focus should be just on like getting her the help that she fucking needs. And on the audio, poor little Cody, the dog is beside his little self. And as Cody is barking, thank you, close captioned date line, Lars yelling indistinctly. So, here's what Lars tells police his first version. I heard voice and I was in bed.
I thought my wife was in bed with me. Okay. Okay, my shotgun. He shot Debbie with a goddamn shotgun. A shotgun. Because he thought she was an intruder that was part of a team in intruders, a team of intruders and he heard multiple voices when he was in bed. Yeah. And so, I think that's a Debbie who didn't wake up and Cody the dog who's not barking at anything. Yeah. And by the time we drag Lars down to the station, he is wrapped in Cody's dog blanket draped in it. Yeah, and so like, I just say, please, this is me. I know I'm like, everyone's so sick and tired of this and I understand. But like, Cody's also traumatized. No, I think that's a perfectly fine thing to point out. And I thought I think it would be nice if Cody had something familiar that smells like his home and his mom, he really loves. Yeah. Instead of like, it just tells you a lot about this asshole that he's like taking Cody's comfort thing and comfort smells for his own drama. I guarantee you, this man knows nothing about that dog.
He knows nothing about that dog's needs or wants or you know what I mean? Like, it didn't even occur to him. He just grabbed it and like wrapped it around himself and got in the car. And then we'll eventually like, desecrate it. We'll get to that later. Yes. So, we're in the interview with Lars. Lars wants to get, we are going to hear this story at Nazia. This is like a 42 minute episode here. This story once. Yeah. It changes the story. But this version we only hear once. So he says it's 4 AM. He was awakened by strange noises in the house. He hears the front door squeaking. And I hear the ground bling. And I hear the dark growling. He said he'd never heard Cody growl before. So he was instantly on alert. Cody has never once made a sound. So the fact that he growled, that's what made Lars. Well, see, I don't believe it. I don't believe that the dog was growling. Obviously, the person that Lars thought was the intruder is his wife Debbie. I have a dog. You have a dog. We all get up to pee in the middle of the night. The dog does not growl at you. So I don't believe that the dog growl. And for him to be like, Cody's never made a sound. Yes, he has. Yeah.
Whether it's a buff, whether it's a playground, whatever. But Lars is now crumpled over the table with a soda can next to him, which I can only assume is a doctor. How about it? He asked for a doctor pepper. Is it doctor pepper? His head is in his arms. He's like this draped in Cody's blanket. And dramatically mumbling his answers to the police without looking up. Yeah. This is so performative. And they're like, so do you think there were like male voices or female voices or what? And he's like, I thought they were male. Like, he's the fucking Christ. Here's the thing. Can I just say something here? Because like, and I was thinking about this, maybe it's because of what I do for a living. Sure. But like home invasions are on my mind all the time. I know. Last night, like Steve's out of town, Daisy and I were like going to bed. And I had gotten into my bed before she got into hers. And I was like, girl, I knew that I had locked the front door. But I'm like, go check the front door and like make sure that it's locked. And she didn't want to. I can understand a world in which like you're whatever, you're asleep, you wake up, you hear
something crazy, you jump up. I had this thought earlier. I was like, there's got to be some statistic about like people who own a gun are ex times more likely to use them. You know what I mean? Because I've thought all the time about how glad I am that I don't and would never have a gun because God forbid, I've thought about this actual scenario. Like Steve, you know, woke up in the middle of the night and was like, oh, we don't have coffee for the morning. Let me go out to the deli, which is open 24 hours. Yeah. He comes home. I hear the door open. I in my brain, I'm like, it's happening. And I jump up with a gun and a half asleep before I can think about anything else. I shoot him. Like I can see a post. I can understand that. You know, I just want to say that that I believe it. And we're going to learn more stuff later about how like there's not really a motive here. So like I'm not saying I think that he didn't kill her on purpose, but I do understand why there's gray area and like some reasonable doubt. Like I think it is reasonable for you to wake up in the middle of the night. Here sounds sort of jump out of bed. You own a gun. So you are primed to like defend.
I'm not justifying it or saying that that's good or is the way that it should be. And I'm not saying that I think that this wasn't intentional. I'm just saying that I live in a world where I think about home invasions in the middle of the night all the time. Shup 100%. I also just think it's more likely that you would not maybe perhaps just my opinion jump to, oh my god, let me get my shotgun. Yeah. Not even look next to you and see if your wife is in bed with you or your person is in bed with you. Because we also say no one ever thought the worst was going to happen. I'm like, I'm sorry. Before we get gun into your house, the likelihood that you're going to kill somebody in your house by accident goes up exponentially. I have to think the numbers kind of change. Yeah. So here's what Lars says to the cops. He hears the sounds. He grabs his shotgun. He goes into the hallway. He sees what he describes as a silhouette standing in front of him three feet away. At the same time, he also says it's pitch black and he can't see anything. So already we're like, can you see the silhouette or can you not? Now, Andrew Canning shows us the exact hallway standing in the hallway, turning off the lights
and I'm like, nice move, Andrew. By the way, at four in the morning. So now we're back to the cop video and the cops are like, remember the same pose. Head on the table draped in the blanket, not even looking at the cops. The cops are like, how far away were you from them? We knew you. Okay. And how far away are the intruders? Like, they don't really have time for that. And Lars is like, for me to do everything happens so fast. And the cops like, okay, sweetheart, we know. But let me ask you this. Once again, I'm just playing devil's advocate here. If he's being performative here, like he's so sad that this all happened, you would think when he shot his wife and he's calling 911, he knows he's got to fake the like, oh my god, I can't believe it just happened. That he'd be at like 900. But he has the same information now than he did when he called 911. I'm just talking about his affect. I'm just saying that like, if now he's like, weepy and like, remorseful and whatever, you would think that if he knew he had to fake this the whole time that he would have been calling 911 screaming his head off, oh my god, I shot my wife by accident, oh my god,
oh my god, you know, as opposed to the, I don't know, I'm just like, it's why cases like this make it to date line. Because like, you can twist it around in certain ways where it's like, well, we're giving him a shift from being performative here, but he wasn't being performative before. I'm not saying he's good at this. Yeah. But you would think like, the number one place you got to be performative is on the 911 call as far as I'm concerned, you know. Yeah. But I don't know. I don't, to me, that's not, that's not like a smoking gun or. No, that's the other thing. I don't think anything is a smoking. Yeah. It's just all of these pieces that are like, well, that we're giving him a shift from being performative here, but he wasn't performative there. You know, and also like, I, I, I, I, I, I, he lives in my head that like, I could, I would never own a gun so this could never be me. Right. But like, I, I have woken up in the middle of the night and thought there was a man in my room before it. I had a gun at my nightstand. What would I do? You know what I mean? I feel like this is just so familiar though. How many times do we hear, oh my God, that 911 call, he sounded like he didn't give a shit. Yeah. And then they're throwing themselves on the floor in the police interrogation room. We've seen this pattern before. It's just why I hate that we spend 20 minutes in this episode talking about his, his behavior.
Because it's like, it doesn't really tell us anything. Well, it just on its face looks pathetic and performative. It looks pathetic. Because it's not helpful no matter what. Wrap them up. Get drinking a doctor pepper. Like, get a hold of yourself. Yeah. This is not helpful. Yeah. But then two hours into this scene. So after two hours of talking, they broke the news. I don't know how to tell you this, but your wife didn't make it. She is deceased. He finally asks if Debbie is okay. Yeah. And that is when they tell him that she died. So all I need is... Not to be an inseparable asshole, but he, to clarify, he's been asking the whole time and they won't tell him. Is that right? It says himself, nobody will tell me if my wife is okay. We hear that on the video. But I thought we were told that after two hours, he finally asks. I have after two hours, they tell him that day. Okay. So I mean, I do pay attention to like, we do hear him say, nobody will tell me if my wife is okay.
Fair enough. Still stands if I may. That he, all of these theatrics came before he knew she was dead. And I want to say again, for the millionth time, I'm not saying I think that, I'm not saying that I don't think he killed her on purpose. I'm just like, it is, it's an interesting exercise to like, to sort of look at all the pockets of what could have been. Right. Because what's clear is that Lars shot and killed Debbie. For sure. So now it's just about if you believe him about what happened. Exactly. And I want to point out, I don't believe the dog was barking because I, the dog would not have barked at Debbie. And he's using that as like, that's one of the reasons why he thought it was an intruder. So right there, that's a big strike against it for me. Do it. Do it. So, of course, everyone's devastated. It's the most surreal thing to hear. It's one of those things where every time you continue the sentence, it gets worse. Debbie was shot by her husband who thought she was a burglar. I mean, it gets more unbelievable, the more you say it. And Debbie's parents fly into mourn with lars. We see this a lot too.
I know this is kind of shocking if you've never seen this before. But initially, nobody wants to believe anything bad. What a horrible accident for all of us. Exactly. We were just dealing with this with the friends like these. Like the parents, you know, were like, they felt worse for the friends of Skylar, that's the episode that we did on the Patreon, then they did for them. They're like, they're her best friends and they're going through the same thing as us. Protecting them from being questioned. Exactly. Haven't they been through enough? Exactly. We have her friends alone. Yep. So, you know, he's doing all the right things. He's devastated by grief. He's very apologetic and they say he seemed very remorseful like doing all the right things. And then eight hours later, they bring him back down to the police. The police are not buying this for a fucking second. Right. They bring him back down. They give him a polygraph and he fails miserably. Yeah. His brother and sister said it was perfectly understandable. Well, he's nervous. He's in shock. You know, he couldn't even get his name right his birthday where he was born. He was a wreck and I don't know. We don't know. That he volunteered. He did volunteer, but at the same time, I don't think anybody is going to pass a polygraph test in that state.
Right. And once again, I'm not saying he's innocent at all, but I'm saying I'm not surprised he failed a polygraph. For Johnny Bravo and the enabling sister to be like, well, of course, he failed it. He was a nervous wreck. Bitch, this was his idea. Yeah. He volunteered. So you can't do, of course, he knew that going in. Yeah. So then why did he offer it? It's where it is crazy. It's only offered for leverage for the case. But he also said what they gave him. He also said no, he's going to fail it. Because if he's saying, it's that whole thing of like, either he's going to fail it, because he's a wreck or he's going to fail it, because he's fucking lying. This is what makes me crazy. Just say our idiot brother had a bad idea. Yeah. And it made it worse. Don't sit there and justify it when it was his idea. Lars is also an idiot. You know what I mean? Yeah, that's what I mean. He's also just not a smart person. No, he's a nightmare. This is where the cops now that he's failed a polygraph test. The cops are going all in on him. I'm just having trouble being like, I want Lars to tell me exactly. Yeah. With extreme detail how this happened. Debbie didn't say a word to you.
She's three feet away and you didn't recognize your wife. And then you assume the thing is, I think you don't shout for her to see if she's safe. It can be argued that his changing story is more proof that he's telling the truth. Why? Because they always say that anybody like we'd like the same with friends like these, they have the same story. They told it over and over again. It was exactly like a script and that it's more like the, the things that he adds or takes away are minor. Like, it's not like, I don't see gaping holes. He's not like, oh, what happened on Wednesday? Know what happened on Thursday. It's like, I think the fact that he says this to Andrew canning in the end, like I have, once again, I don't think he didn't do this on purpose. But I am saying that we've heard it said that people who tell the same story exactly how it happened like from the beginning and never changed. That's more evidence of guilt than people who have like minor deviences in the story. I don't know if I fully agree. I know that in our cases it's definitely suspicious. But I've definitely been one to say.
And I think you've said it two words. Like the truth is the truth. I can be opposed tomorrow about something. I don't need to prep because my story's never going to change. Yeah. Because the truth doesn't change. But that might not be the case if you accidentally shot Mike in the chest in the middle of the night. And you're trying to remember that story. I understand. And I know we can't say what I would have done. But my questions for Lars are you didn't say a word to this person. You didn't see if your wife was okay. You didn't check the bed. Your thing was to grab a shotgun and shoot the person. I'm just oh god. I go right to an evil intruder. I know. I know listeners hate me when I do this. I'm not taking his side. I'm just arguing like as like the defense attorney here. I think if you wake up. I love you in the role of defense attorney. It's weird. But it's like if you wake up and you are for whatever reason you've decided there's intruders in your house. Yeah. Like he's going to say in a minute that like he goes right into protection mode. Like to like the idea that like he knows. Well, he says that he does. I'm not saying that he does. I'm saying he says that he does. Wouldn't protection be like Debbie, my darling wife are you okay? Are you not dead? Not if the intruder is three feet from you and barreling into the room.
Like you think like you are saying you think they are. So she was running into the room? Well, I think if he's if she's at this. This is fun. This little mock trial we're doing. I'm just saying that like if you've made the decision that like you are now here and you've got to protect your family, it all happens in a instant. You grab the gun, you see the person at the door, you take the shot because the decision was made the second you jumped out of the bed. I don't think Mr. Pepper because he's not a doctor. Yeah. He's filled. He's the fill of his episode. I don't think Mr. Pepper is really a I got to protect my, I'm going to stand my ground kind of guy. I don't disagree with you, but I'm just saying that that's what he like I'm putting myself in the mindset of like if I've woken up and for whatever reason I've decided that there's an intruder in the house and now I've got the gun in the hand, there's no turning back at that point. And like the other thing is to say even if his story is true, which I'm not saying it is, even if his story is true, it should still come with fucking consequences. Right. Even if his story is true, he still made a fucking epic mistake. Yeah, right. So he's like blubbering and mumbling with his face covering. Can you give us a little more? It was dark.
A cop say to him, do you understand how lame that sounds? Yeah, literally lame. And he's like, it's a trood. And the cops are like, You're 36 inches from a human being and you can't tell it to your wife, I don't care if it's pitch dark. No room is completely dark. There's going to be a light from every room. It may not be much, but it's enough to tell a shape. Otherwise you wouldn't have fired. You obviously saw something because you fired the gun. So let's see this. There is no way it was 100% completely like blackout curtains. Yeah. In your house. But then it sucks for them because they say there's no witnesses. There's no evidence to gig negate what he says. They've got to let him go. And then but they say they're like, clearly you saw something. Yeah. And he's like, oh, wait, you know what? I actually saw two people and they're like, you saw what? Well, see, that's the whole thing. And then later it's going to be, I heard voices downstairs. People running down the hall. Yeah. Like, oh, you two people now. Okay. So and the cops are like, so we're supposed to believe that sweet little Cody, 15 out of 10 pup, has never made a sound in his entire life. And so that's why he was so like, he growled.
Like he is not a good dog owner. But the other thing about, I'm just going to say it again, like dogs don't growl at their owners. You know what I mean? Like if Debbie is like going to the, like, I don't believe this dog growls. I think he's lying about that. I think that Debbie was coming back from wherever she was coming back from at four o'clock in the morning. The dog did not growl. And he shot her like, this is a big point in like, he did it on purpose. We agree about that he's lying about growling. We're just thinking for different reasons. Oh, I think. Like I agree. Because I don't think for him to be like, Cody's never made a sound ever in his life. No, I'm with you. I'm agreeing with you. Like I think that's a lie. No, I totally agree with you. So if he did growl, like there are definitely times where if I'm in bed and the like Fiona will be like, who's that she'll give a little bit of a warning. She's a protector. She's a fear predator. He's saying that the dog was growling at Debbie and that's why he thought Debbie was an intruder. And I'm saying there's no way that dog would have growled at Debbie. No, no, there's no other dog to peppery idiot. Don't totally. So and again, like I just want to explain, like Cody is Debbie's dog. She loved him and he loved her a lot.
And Cody and I want to say to Lars, like, this doesn't concern you. Get away from Debbie and the dog. Yeah, get Cody's name out of your goddamn. Get Cody's name out of your mouth. So six days later, it's the funeral. And like Lars sits with the parents. The parents are there. Like at this point, they're still believing Lars's story. The friends are in rage. Yeah, the friends are just like seeing it for what it is. How on earth could you not know that that was your wife? How on earth she's, you know, she's this tall. She's blonde. She was wearing a white t-shirt. How could you possibly have not known that it was her and then the fucking flowers? Because their whole thing is like, even if it was a mistake, you shouldn't own better. Exactly. They don't care that it was a mistake or not, right? Yeah. So then you want to talk about the everything. So he orders a flower, Richard. We see a picture of it. There was a wreath up at the front. It was a huge flower heart. And in the middle of it, it was broken with these lines. So it was this broken heart. And it actually looked like a heartbeat. And it was in such poor taste. She was actually shot in the heart.
Well, it penetrated here. The lining of her heart, yes. Now on its face, it's ugly and tacky. It is ugly and tacky. You know, full stop. Yeah. But Debbie was shot in the heart. And they're saying it looks like a heart attack. It looks like the very poor taste. The thing about the funeral large you fucking Dr. Pepper drinking Neanderthal idiot, it's not about you. The funeral is about, it's not about your fucking broken heart. You stupid idiot. No. Go ahead. Bitch. Yes. I almost didn't say it. Got him. Yeah. Well, Lars has been making this all about himself a lot. Whether it's the contracting or like Debbie's parents said earlier, it was kind of like we were comforting him. When you should all be mourning together, it just everything always becomes about Lars. Yeah. And I mean, if his story was true and he accidentally shot his wife, you're a stupid fucking moron idiot, Dr. Pepper drinking bitch. Yeah, like you should get a hug. You know what I mean? Yeah. Well, she parted the thigh maybe to shoot in the heart.
I just, his story to me makes no say, you know, I'm an Occam's razor girl, right? Yeah. Yeah. It's not making sense to me. But I, okay, there's more evidence in a minute. Okay. So 11 days later, Lars is charged with manslaughter and arrested. Right. And so, you know, Debbie's parents continue to support him to a point because it starts to change when all of a sudden Debbie's dad is like, well, all of a sudden he's like not answering my questions. He's not being forced coming. Because manslaughter just as a reminder, it's still an accident. It's a recklessly causing some of that. So the parents are like, okay, like he's got it, like you were saying, be held accountable for taking our daughter's life. For sure. But it is manslaughter, which means it's not like criminally, criminal intent. Right. But now that the parents are starting to be like, I don't know about this guy. He won't, he's not talking to them. He won't answer their questions. This sister Christie is back to be like, he was really sad. Big haircut and enabling sister Christie. Because he starts like icing out Debbie's parents. What do we always say? Yeah. This is always a red flag when the people who should be on the same side are fractured. Yes. No, I agree. But the thing, so now the investigators start to look into the finances.
Yeah. Because you're thinking Debbie's red shoes making a ton of money, Lars isn't idiot. He has no money. This has to be about the money. But we learn. Debbie's assets totaled more than a million dollars when she died. Her dad was named the beneficiary on most of her investment accounts. So Lars, that seemed had little to gain by killing her. Lars wasn't getting any of the money. And once I heard that, I was like, wait a second. You know, like that's big. Like what does Lars get out of this? Never, never underestimate an insecure man. Totally heard. So I really think it's like, well, this is not what I signed up for. Yeah. Like I wanted you to be sort of like, don't all over me. And I think sometimes it's less about the money and more about the control. But the thing is though, it's not a one to one. Because not only does he lose his cash cow if she dies, he also has to deal with like getting out of killing. Well, he can grift another woman. But only if he can get out of like he has to have thought through.
I'll get out of this. I'll kill her. I'll find another woman eventually. But I also have to prove to them that I didn't get like, do you really think he would take that gamble? No, I don't think he's smart. And also who's to say he can't find a willing woman even though he's in prison. Because it's a sob story. I accidentally kill my wife. Then he's got to be in prison is what I'm saying. Again, I'm not saying I think he didn't do it on purpose. I think what you're saying could be right. Like maybe he didn't think through the prison aspect or the possibility of getting caught or he didn't care or it was just a spur of the moment thing where. But they were fighting about work. Yep. And he fucking killed her, which is what I think happened. Yeah. So all of that is possible. Yeah, he lost his mind and killed her. Yeah, I think that's definitely possible. But I do think it's interesting to know that it wasn't about the money. All right. Yeah, you know, whatever. Yeah. Debbie's besties don't believe in a word this guy says. No. And like they're very much the voice of reason. They're here to tell us that like Debbie was really unhappy. They love to point to the projects around the house that Lars was not getting done. Because he built himself as this,
what is what is uh, Andrew Cannon called him a Neanderthal. No, a Nordic. He man. He had a thought it was more like it. Yeah. He presented himself as like I can help around the cat. The house like he was his job as a contractor. We see this project. He was doing I watched it twice. I still don't know what we're looking at. It looks like he was rebuilding a window, but he built the he built like the window closing part too short. The shit he was doing to like stick around and see Debbie more continued even after that were married. So he's just bad at his job. And it wasn't even though that he was finished like he did it wrong. It was like he built a bathroom in the window, but then made it so it didn't close all the way. She goes. So we see she's like texting the besties and talking should about Lars. And she sends them this photo that I agree like makes no sense. And she says. How does a master like this is so I just love their friendship. Because she's being completely herself. So she sends in the picture and she was how does a bathroom remodel include a hole in the side of your house. I'm wondering the same thing dot dot dot dot. So like he's a terrible contractor or it's weaponized in competence.
I'm going to go with both. I mean it just makes no sense. And like here's what I don't like to. Debbie did that herself. That was her house that she bought with what she earned and she renovated it. And now he's fucking ruining it. And now he's bringing Cody the soul dog into it. And it's offensive quite frankly. Leave Cody's name out of your mouth and also respect what she built literally. Totally. No, I couldn't agree more. And he's sitting on the couch all day doing nish. Literally doing nothing but drinking Dr. Pepper. The friends are like she would come home from some of these trips and say, hey, let's go get a drink. Let's have some dinner. And your expectation would be I want to get home to my husband. She didn't seem to be in any particular hurry anymore. She would come home from like two weeks away on a business trip and would want to me just like right at the bar or right at the restaurant. Like she did not want to go home and be with her husband. Right, so she's pulling away and like spending less time with him and at home. And it just like pisses me off so much that he's really infected.
Like she built this life and she was so happy and it works so hard for us. The thing is I'm not blaming the victim at all. But the man you marry is the man that like they don't change especially at that age. Like they were in their late late 40s early 50s. Like I'm not blaming Debbie at all, but you married a dud. You know, and he was never going to undud the things about him being a dud that were charming like early on were never going to age well. But no one thinks the dud is going to kill you. They know it's a dud. No, of course I look I've met plenty of dots. Oh same. I've met people who thank God when you get the call. Yeah, it's over forever. You're like, oh my God. I know. Great. They've made it out with just, you know, emotional trauma. But everyone is like, oh, I know. Well, this is an extreme example. I will give you that. The cops are going to dig into Lars and his behavior because it's all very off. Yeah, we go back to the 911 call once again. If he is faking it, he's not faking it well. He's saying things like, oh man. Well, after shooting his wife, he's changing his story. I mean, we've been through this like, it's little things like he says.
At first he saw like a flash from his bed. But then he saw the flash after he got out of the bed. Yeah. So like the 911 call, the details on the 911 call are different than what he says to the responding officers at the house, which is also different from by the time he's at the police station. So these are three stories and not a lot of time. Yeah, none of them stood out to me as it's like significantly different. Like, I don't think there's a smoking gun there. Well, to me, like, it just felt a little bit like the, by the third, I think it's the third story, he wakes up to like more squeaking noises, which just feels a lot less scary and dramatic than the first two versions of it. Yeah, for sure. Which is like, oh, so now you're sort of digging yourself deeper. Yeah, because it wasn't as scary as it first sounded. Yeah. And like, you know, they tell us in this interview, as we see the interviews, he's crying, but there are no tears. When the detective looks at him and he doesn't see any tears, okay, that doesn't jive with everything else. These bits of emotion are only done in front of the detective. They're not done when he's alone. When the officers leave, he's not crying as much anymore. When he has an audience, he does it for the audience.
Lars gets out on bail. And according to his siblings, he's suffering greatly. So Johnny Bravo drags Andrea Canning to the house at four in the morning. I kept. When Andrea Canning was like, so she's like wiping, she's got like the Starbucks and like wiping this thing for us. She's million bucks. She's like, it's 4 a.m. bitch. You brought me here. I'm here. Let's turn the lights off and see what they saw. Because that was the time of the murder. Yeah, yeah. So like they wanted, Johnny Bravo was like, I'm sorry, what's his name? Ken. Who can? Yeah. Have her hair. Big haircut is like, I want to show you how dark and confusing the house is, because honestly, this could have happened to any of us. And Andrea Canning is like, all right, dazzle me. Like, what do you got? Well, they turn the lights off and she's like, okay, it's pretty dark in here. But then she says as soon as her eyes adjust, like she can see a silhouette. And this is the thing where I'm like, yeah, if I, it will never know Lars' state of mind, right? Because me, conscious right now, if we, if like you turn the lights off and you brought in three people,
I would be able to tell you which one was Steve. Thank you. But that's me being conscious, like Andrea Canning, you know, like, I'm awake, I've had my coffee, I've been doing, if, you know, again, I'm just playing Devils Advocate. Like, if it's the middle of the night, I'm walking from a dead sleep, I jump out of bed because I think there's somebody in my house and Steve were to walk in the room. That would probably scare the shit out of me. Can I add one more thing though? Yeah. Prosecutors believed it simply was not as dark that morning as Lars claimed. And said photos from inside the house proved it. Those are the big picture windows that are there in the living room. The drapes were never pulled back. They believed ambient light would have had to have seeped through these windows from neighborhood streets, from homes, even the night sky. That's when Andrea Canning's like, I don't know, man, with those open drapes. Yeah. It just doesn't feel like it's all blackout curtains and it's like sensory deprivation. And the other difference is that Steve is six two. So like, this one, Debbie was like five feet tall. And like, what in you? Why wouldn't you turn a light on? I know. I mean, although they do say to not turn a light off because you know the house better than you're intruder.
Oh. But I'm not going to assign that to Lars because I don't think you can. The only way Lars is telling the truth here is if like, you know, he jumped out of bed, legitimately thought somebody was in the house, grabbed a gun, made the decision the second he grabbed the gun. If you grabbed the gun, you're shooting somebody. Really you think? I think, I think, and like, to hear the story as Lars tells it, terrified woke up, heard noises, thought through it. Like, and legitimately, my wife, I thought she was asleep beside me. Why wouldn't she be? She always has been. You know how you can figure that out? Just turn your head. Yeah. But I guess I've just run these scenarios in my head so many times that like, see when I have a big bed, like I wouldn't necessarily, like I'm not defending him and I'm not saying I think you didn't do it. I'm just playing out all the possibilities here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But what where it was really going is that like, she's so much smaller than him that like if you can see any part of her outline, you would have known it was her. There's no getting out of that, Lars. I just feel like you could call her name. You would, I think, I just feel like you would if anyone would want to check on their person first. Yeah, I agree.
I agree. In some way, screaming her name or saying a word. She's also just so little, you know what I mean? And also she didn't say, hey honey, it's me. Yeah. Really? Because that's not in his story. She didn't say a word. She's just like lurking silently. Yeah, it's interesting. Like we didn't get into it when you said it the first time because and they don't get into it here. But what you're saying is that all of this is made up that they had a, you think that they were having a fight about the marriage and he just killed her. Yes. I wish that Dateline had explored that possibility because that makes more sense than anything. Because it would make sense to how many times do we see this is pure speculation. Okay, I'm not saying. I do think he made the whole thing up and he was an insecure, out of the wheelchair. But like how many times have we also heard sleep deprivation is a huge thing that manipulators and narcissists do for in the morning. Maybe he kept her up being like, well, if you're going to spend all the time at work, I'm going to keep you up now and force you to have the fight since you're too busy with your girlfriends and your work and you're just pulling away from me. Like that is the scenario that makes the most sense to me. Oh, all of it. Like that absolutely makes sense to me. So now five months after Debbie's death,
he's upcharged. Now it's murder. He's arrested for murder, not manslaughter. So we get to December 2016 and the trial starts. Now if he's convicted on murder 99 years in prison. And if he's convicted on manslaughter as few as two. Wonderful. There should be some, we should bridge that guy a little. Got to meet the middle. Yes, somehow. What depends on the murder? I guess that's true. Anyway, so the prosecutors are like, shit, how do we prove this was intentional? What are we going to do here? I don't think you can. You know what I mean? Like I'm not saying it wasn't. I just don't think it's provable. So the prosecutors are like, we're just going to make him show his true self on the stand. And they know it. Because he's like crying and shaking and holding his breath. And the prosecutor says, and I quote, I have a toddler. All right. I've seen that face before and it usually happens right before a dirty diaper. If you catch my drift and I'm like, oh, I get it. He's full of shit. Yeah. He got that. Yeah. I don't know. I think that they do though. There's another witness on the stand. And they pull out a tape measure to show how close three feet is. When you think about three feet, it feels like such a, but it's not. It's so fucking close.
It's so fucking close. And there's another woman who stays with them, who testifies. And she's like, I say it that house overnight all the time. And you can see in that house. Not black outcars. Yeah. And a cop testifies he testified that Lars didn't look like a man who'd been doing CPR on his mortally wounded wife. He was clean. And what are you, my friend? He didn't have any blood on his body. Once they saw him doing some CPR, then he had blood on his hands. The 911 dispatcher was talking him through doing CPR and he said he was doing it. He wasn't doing it. He only did it when the cops were there in front of him for the audience and for the attention. So then they try to use his doctor pepper against them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because they're like, he just kept asking for doctor pepper. And then he goes, well, I don't want to hold a can of doctor pepper when my wife's blood is all over my hands. So we see Lars at the police station, callously wiping his blood, his wife's blood, all his hands on Cody's dog blanket. They didn't even, he didn't even notice the blood was on his hands. We see the moment that we that he catches himself with his wife's blood and just wipes
it off like it's nothing. And his wife that just suffered an awful tragic accident that he caused. Yeah. Even if you 100% believe this is the worst thing that ever happened. Oh my God, what a tragic accident. He's still not acting accordingly. Yeah. So the case goes to the jury. Again, it's either murder, manslaughter or not guilty. After more than six hours of verdict on count one, the murder charge. We've heard the jury kind of defend it, Lars. They're, it's so not guilty. But before anyone in the courtroom had time to react, another verdict. Guilty of manslaughter is charged. They find him not guilty of murder. They find him guilty of manslaughter. He gets sentenced to 15 years, which is just a few years shy of the maximum. So they really wanted to get him on something. Well, no one's happy though. Right. Team Debbie wants him guilty of murder. Team Lars wants him fully acquitted. Yeah. And he gets, you know, like Andrew Canning, those sits down with him in prison. Which is like, I love that she goes, but she gets nothing out of him. Let me ask you, is he growing his hair out to look like his brother?
You know what? That's a great question. He really is growing the hair out. When you were gifted by the gods with hair like that at that age, that's what you're going to do with it. I saw that hairdo and I realized, oh, this is the brother and the enabling sister. I can't trust their judgment at all. No, they should have stopped someone should have stopped that hairdo. 100. They sat there thinking it looks great. I'm throwing out everything they say. You know what? I know Jerry would convex. But like Lars is now, I believe, lying to Andrew Canning's face, he's telling now a fourth and fifth story and Andrew goes, right, isn't the truth the truth? And Lars goes, yeah, but if you think it's going to be the same every single time, then like you have another thing coming. And I'm like, well, then it's not the truth. I'm just like, Lars, I've done the best I can for your hair, pal. You know what I mean? The truth is the same thing every single time. Yeah. Yes. No, I think you nailed it. I think the absolute truth is that they were having a fight about the marriage. Yeah, insecure match. And he killed her because she's thriving. I wish anybody had investigated that angle because I think that's what happened here. Yeah, is deadline like not allowed to say that? I know they can't speculate and they're like news journalists.
Yeah. I'm just an idiot. No. But you saw that I can say more things. You saw it, it is. Also, he was released in 2025. Do we know, do we have any information? No, but I would not be surprised if he's married already. Oh, totally. That would be my guess. Oh my God, girl, we did day line at season 25 episode 39. This isn't, this is crazy. The silhouette.
