Ladies and gentlemen, it's that time to ask the question, what do you want to talk about? Well, I know what I want to talk about. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the brace for impact podcast, a part of rustle attic radio. I'm your host, the paladin of positivity, the impact player of rustle attic radio, Nate the great. And it's going to be a great review talking about destination X 2011. But I do not come alone. No, no, no, my friends, because I had with me a very beastly man of a guest, juicy, sensual and absolutely knows how to take a good apron bump, if you will. This is big man on campus. This is Kyle from the apron bump podcast. Kyle, how's it going, man? Oh, better now that I'm here. Oh, juiced up, I guess, as you put it, you know, fun fact. I did train and wrestling for a little bit, but I never took a bump on the apron. So actually, I'm bad.

I'm pretty bad at taking apron bumps, ironically enough, but I digress. The only apron bump I took with my wrestling was just over the top deal and I landed on my butt on the apron. So that's the closest thing I've got to an apron. Right. I did trip getting onto the apron. Like from the floor, I thought I can do the old Shelton Benjamin bit where you just jump up and then it was like a little taller than I thought. So I kind of like tripped up a little house kind of a bump on the apron, but that's about it. And a funny story, I actually had the opposite effect because I tried doing like the Bobby Lashley when he used to just like leap up onto the apron. Yeah, yeah. But it was with one of the smaller rings where it was like maybe not even five inches off the ground. And I didn't get enough heights and I kind of scraped the bottom of my leg and even my friends were just like, dude, did you just fuck up the lashley thing? I'm like, I did. Well, you look so much like him. I'm surprised that you didn't just nail it. When he had the idea of fat lashley where he was going to be a big fat boy and then just

to say, do you know what? I'm going to slim down in like a few months and it'll be fine. I'm like, okay, that's what the craziest stories I've heard from lashley. But one of those stories I'm like, I wish we would have seen it actually. I don't think I've ever heard of that. He was going to get fat. I think the idea was that he was going to basically get fat and he would even have like a bit of a fat suit kind of going on. And then he would kind of do like this deal where he'd be in this like slump of depressive kind of deal. But then after a while, he would start getting his like wind back and he would start losing the weight. He would start looking better. And that's when he would become like, I guess the boss lashley something like that. I may be misconstruing the story, but that is essentially what it was. A lot of commitment. I mean, what's his face from always sunny did that. So if you could do it, why not Bob lash? Charlie day. I think not not Charlie day. It was the other guy. Uh, what's this? Not Danny DeVito, not the girl, but the other one. Oh, um, oh gosh. I, I, I, I think I'm very cash.

Well, sunny watchers. I'll give you another names, but it's fair. But we are here to talk about destination X twenty eleven ladies and jam before we get into that, uh, maybe I talk a little bit about current modern AT&A stuff, uh, but also we're going to start on a bit of a somber now because this was the crazy part. We actually got done recording, uh, the episode for the apron bump podcast. And it wasn't until a little bit after that I heard the news that former arrest learned Neville aka packed passed away. And this was one of those things that first I looked at, I'm like, no, this is, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, this, this is fake. This is fake. And sure enough, I look at all the graphics. I look at a W released it. Everybody else is releasing about it. I'm like, oh my gosh. This is real. And that just blew my mind. The guy was 40 years old. And honestly, he probably had at least five more years to just deliver the amazing talent that he did.

And it is really sad to peer this. There has not been really any details that have been released about it, but you just hear much like with Andy Williams butcher, um, how much support that he got from people and all the nice stories they had for him. Same thing with with pack. He was one of those guys that still has some of the best record of like matches to watch. Honestly, folks, if you go back to the back into the old days of golden, golden, black and gold, era at NXT, Neville is like the highlight of that. One of the best televised championship matches between him and Rollins, that near, that near finish, just every single time you watch it, I'm like, Oh, chef's kiss. Just probably my second favorite kick out of all time. Number one, still being a Sean and taker at 25. I think the first tombstone, but then he moved on from that to go to AW. And I was lucky enough to be there at all out when he faced Kenny Omega, which I argue is

one of his best matches in that company. I know people are going to say, you know, him and Orange Cassidy, um, him and, uh, Andrade had some really good matches as well. You know, this list of people and he's worked with. And it's just one of those things where I think it's best said that this is a guy who proved that he can do stuff that no human should be able to do. And he made it look awesome every single time. But I've gone a bit of a, a tiny with that. But Kyle, do you have any good memories? And what are your thoughts with this, um, with this, with this passing attack? Yeah. I mean, Deco, your sentiment, I mean, we're still like, I don't know, roughly 24 hours after the news came out. And yeah, I was, I was sitting right here, you know, doing some stuff on my computer and I saw it on my phone and I ripped my headphones off. I was like, what the hell? This isn't. And it was like a two hour doom scroll of just like looking at, you know, people's reactions. It was like a crazy. I mean, obviously very unexpected dude, super healthy. He's only 40 years old.

Like you mentioned, although he wrestled like he was 25. So I think you said five years. I think he could have wrestled for if he wanted to 10, 15 more years if he wanted to. Um, but yeah, obviously super heartbreaking. I mean, dude was so there's, there's nobody that wrestles like him or moves like him. He's capable of things that nobody has ever been or probably will ever be able to do. He was such a unique guy like his cat. Like you said, his catalog of matches, even before W. Because I think a lot of people were introduced to him through NXT in like 2013, 2014, whatever it was. And all the stuff he did in Dragon Gate and Ring of Honor, PWG, places like that, like in the mid 2000s, like this guy's been going at it for a long time. And it's just been such, such quality work throughout the entire, the cruiserweight stuff he did in WWE. He pretty much singlehandedly held that division up. I mean, I was a big 205, watch your back in that period. And there was, that was like a hidden gem of a show. And then obviously, AW, that Kenny Omega match, I would agree with you.

That's probably one of my favorite matches of his that Iron Man match with Kenny, the word Cassidy. I mean, you can go on and on the match with O'Cotta he had like a year ago. I forget what your pay-per-view it was, but it was relatively recent for the Continental Championship. Awesome. I mean, you could just, anytime he was in the ring, it was a great match. And he's going to be sorely missed. I mean, he was so influential. There was an interview with Will Osprey a while ago where he said he was a guy that really bridged people, like wrestling in Japan, like people coming from Europe to Japan. So his influence, like right there alone, but his style and this presence backstage, he's going to be sorely missed, super, super sad news. Absolutely. And we would like to, on behalf of Airbay, wrestling radio, offer our condolences to the family of Pac as they're going to this time. And he is definitely another guy that gravity will, that gravity forgot, but sure you're here. We here on Earth will never forget the man known as Pac Neville.

He'll always be a king to everybody in our hearts. Absolutely. Shadow Pac. Oh yeah. So going from that to talking about some modern day TNA, the big news that came out of TNA this week was we finally found out who has been doing all of these backstage attacks. Who's been attacking, you know, baby faces, heels, everybody like that. And honestly, it was one of those things where it's like this could be a predictable deal or this could be an unpredictable deal. Either way, I'm happy with who it is. And as soon as the hearty said, top of the hour, we're going to find out who is attacking us. I'm like, okay, this ought to be good. Okay. Hearties come out. And then the lights go out. And we get two people in like complete black balacal. They're just coming in attacking the hearties. And it's like, okay, are we going to get the reveal or is this going to be a thing? Is this going to be good? Is this going to be bad? They were revealed who they were. And it was Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer, formerly Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis in WWE.

They are six. And honestly, guys, I was very happy with that. And everybody else was just going crazy. Everybody was happy. Everybody was just going like, yes, we're getting this. It's like, you know what? We just got started with them as a team in WWE. Now we're going to get them in TNA and then it's going to be fun because they're going to be fighting the hearties. And I will say this. Yes, yes. I did hear the story about Sawyer having that injury scare. But as we heard from him himself, he said, you know, we had a bit of a scare. I couldn't really feel my leg. And then the next day he was saying, like, you know what? I'm starting to feel better. Everything is good. No need to worry. I'm like, okay, I do not want this to be. Literally one of those things where we get the coolest debut. And then injury, we lost it. It's all met Johnson turning on a turning heel and joining the nation all over again. You know, we turned and got injured right away. Do you think the injury in GCW with Joe Gacy? Do you think that was a work?

I'm going to go out and let me say no. I think that it was a legit deal where unfortunately Gacy did have some kind of knee problem. And he thought better than just go through with it and risk injury himself more. He decided, you know what? Let's just call it off right now. And obviously he said the following day, it's like, you know, when he's good, when he's good, it's like, okay, cool. You know what? As long as he's safe and healthy, that's fine. Unlike with God, I hate doing this because nowadays he's doing really well, Mr. Goh. When he was the original scene caro back in the WWE heyday, where he had that what he did, one flip to Alberto Doreo. And he literally was just like, hey, coming, I basically dislocated my finger. And they were just like, okay, matches off. And then the biggest dipshit wrestling to say, I'm going to take umbrage with this guy. I'm going to beat him up. It's like, dude, you work. There's a reason why you're blacklisted from most professional wrestling. They love him in Mexico, still, man. Alberto Pachero.

I think he's still going at it somewhere. Yeah. Well, as long as he's off my TV, then I'm happy. I still have to deal with the fact that he's going to get an impact wrestling. And he's going to be the world champion. I, that may be a dark day for me. That might be that might be the day where people see me on social media and be like, are you okay? It's like, no, I'm going to be depressed for about a couple of weeks. Why? Because I have to deal with Alberto Del Patron, a K, a brutal dumb dipshit. And he's like, okay, explain this a bit more. It's like, I don't want to. I don't want to. If you know, you know, it's 2026. Why are you dealing with that? No, we don't ask any questions. It's like, it's a salt to the wound thing. It's, it's, it's no other. But yeah, no, I, I'm very excited for six. And honestly, everybody kind of says that, you know, there's probably going to be more people coming in. Honestly, I hope so. I really do hope so. I hope that this is basically the debut of, you know, they can't call it the white six. But the fact that they literally call them self six as an S,

Y, X tells me that it can't just be the two of them that it just can't. I'm just going to bring in Sean Waltman. Oh, you and Fred's both have made that comment. I mean, it's okay. It's right there. Like they can't do that and not bring in six. What, what do you want us to bring in Kevin Nash too? So he can. Sure. Why not? Six pack, the combination of six and wolf pack. I, I'm not going to say no. I mean, you got to have six people, right? Nah, that is true. So you have. Okay, so let's, let's say in this fantasy world of six, Pock, we have Joseph, Joseph Sawyer, Samuel Schraw, six, Pock, Kevin Nash, who would fill the other two spots? The Alpha male, Moti Brown, number five. Um, but number six, number six, uh, blue pants. Maybe I think I'm going to have to tag her.

I'm going to have to tag leave in this because I actually am going to see her this weekend at, uh, true North wrestling's crossroads, too. So shout out to them over there. So you guys, you recovered by getting and cussed by awesome Kong them. That's good to hear. That's that little call back to the two, to an episode that's probably out at the point. Oh, man. Honestly, guys, when you, when you listen to the apron bump podcast, you are probably going to be thinking, what are you guys talking about? Or what are you on? And honestly, we were on a whole barrel of fun. That's what we were on for that whole deal. Oh, man, lots of barrels. We had references to awesome Kong be amazing. We had some, I love this impersonations. And then we also talked about how amazing AJ Styles and Kurt Angler, because yeah, man, when I listen, I, I never remember anything from my podcast. So when I listen back, it's like listening for the first time. So I'll be looking forward to it as well. All right. So let's get into talking about destination X 2011 in the impact zone in Orlando, Florida.

And we kicked it off with a height package for the monster abyss and Brian Kendrick, a bis, talking all of his really ways of, gosh, I'm trying to remember what this thing shames suit, I think, was the song. Fuck, I had to do. Sun, sung su. Sun su. I have it somewhere. The art of war. Yeah. He's, he's, he's referencing all these deal. Brian Kendrick talking about being the last line of defense for the Activision, because how they're stipulating this is that if Brian Kendrick loses tonight, then the Activision championship will be redoubted the extreme championship, basically killing the exhibition entirely. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is 90s pro wrestling at his finest because remember who's in charge. That being easy, Eric Bischoff and well, I don't think that works for me brother. Yes, Hulkey Hogan, who does not make a cameo in this deal, which surprises me, but you know something.

I think that was for the best. Brother is all exhibition. Well, these vanilla bids, it's all their brother. I'm not coming to early. No brother for that brother. You bring him back to six. I just six. I had ring brother. No way brother. I've heard that that thing hurts hurts like hell brother. I'm going to be. Help me up brother. I'm no more for me. I've already had 10 back surgeries brother. I don't need a more brother. Has he had his last match yet? Or is that still to come? That is still still to come. So, okay. And I will, I will say this that I have my good friend from young lines perspective, Zach, who will be on that show. At a parent that he's going to start off with a rant. So, I was so that is definitely an episode that you people do not want to miss. But we have the return of the six side ring, which honestly, that was something I was like, okay, cool. I love this. I love this classic TNA, classic activation stuff. And we have on commentary, Mike TNA and Jeremy Borash, J.B. No Taz, Taz is on assignment. And all I thought to myself was, you know what? I'm going to accept this because honestly,

I'm kind of getting sick and tired of Taz on commentary. It's kind of annoying. He's basically going WWE and the worst possible way. He is, the last thing I need to hear is another reference of, let the pigeons lose. I'm like, dude, just, just stop, just stop. I mean, there was no pigeons on this show, but yeah, he would have slid it in some way. In a weird way, I kind of like the pairing of TNA and Borash here, because they felt very like almost robotic in some ways, like very just mechanical, just calling the action, and that's pretty much it. And that kind of fit the show where it's just like, it's just wrestling. It's just the pure wrestling. So I just get the technical guys in there and just discuss the wrestling. And no food, food, no bells, and what's a little just get in there and grapples. I think it worked. Yeah, honestly, it kind of reminds me of Mike TNA's days. I want to say it was triple eight, because it reminded me of the match with Art Bar and Eddie Guerrero versus... So I'm saying, El Ijo del Santo,

and I think it was Octagon in that two out three falls matchup, which honestly, guys, I enjoy that match. It's a really good match. It's classic match. It feels really good. It's masked versus hair. If you haven't got a chance, go check it out. Anyway, off of the nostalgia horse, let's get into it. Well, now we have an nostalgic match going on here, because we're kicking things off with Kaz versus Samoa Joe. Oh, thank you, Lord. Anytime you see these two on, you know you're getting something good. It's proud. It's hot for this one, baby. This is classic TNA exhibition to add. It's finest. And honestly, the backstory behind this is literally Samoa Joe is pissed off. He doesn't have a match on the card. And we'll talk a little bit about why when we get to the main event. And Kaz is just in Samoa Joe's way. So literally, it's just Kaz wants to fight Samoa Joe and Samoa Joe's like, yeah, I'm going to basically punk you out, boy. So that's literally all we got. So nice quick and back and forth from these two guys until Cinmojo knocks down Kaz and then just close lines him on the outside,

that close line on the outside. I literally was just like that. Mmm. Love it. It's good. We could be classic nope spot from Samoa Joe on the outside. You can't have a Samoa Joe match up without that. Get a quarter inch of gory. Kaz counters. Oh, he counters Kaz as a springboard into an inverted atomic drop. Big boot, sent on combo because Samoa Joe is fucking amazing. That's why. And of course, we get his classic chop to the back. Tick to the face. Knee drop. We're getting classic Samoa Joe. That gets me every time man. The combos from Joe here, they're just so, I mean, the crowd into it too. It's just really good stuff. Oh, it gets better, my friend, because we do have another classic deal. Kaz, he fights out of the muscle buster and gets a springboard drop kick. Does a Andre the giant style slam to Samoa Joe. He does his springboard leg drop, springboard DDT. A slingshot DDT, which every time I see them, I'm just like, oh, yes, thank you.

Joe with his elbow suecida, I believe is what Mike to name, may call it. I love it, honestly. Joe, he counters the fade to black, that reverse tombstone that Kaz does into his power bomb combo. And then he goes into his STF and his cross face. Oh, please, yes. Zach Saber Jr. getting to TNA right now. We need you and Samoa Joe a one-on-one. He does his nice little corner urinalgie, Kokina clutch locked in. We're thinking up, Samoa Joe's done. Nope, Kaz gets to the ropes. Joe's pissed off. He's mad. We see Kaz then doing a shock victory role onto Samoa Joseph to get the win. So a shock win at the early part of this matchup between Kaz and Samoa Joe. Kaz gets the victory to kick off TNA destination X. I give this one a beat. I feel like the match was good. And it was just starting to get into that next gear. And then that shock finished kind of tucking away from me. It was just like, yeah, I know Joe's going through a slump,

but still we could have still gotten like an attempt at a musclebuster. Maybe he kicks out the fade to black, if we would have gotten a little more there, I feel like we would have gotten that into the A quality deal. But still a really good matchup to kick off the show. Yeah, I'd throw B plus at it. I think it was a perfect opening match. You know, they didn't get too crazy with what they were doing, but what they did was was great. I mean, all of the Joe classics, all of the Kaz classics. I would agree kind of a wonky finish, just a weird little roll-up. It kind of fell out of nowhere, but I guess that was the story they were trying to tell. Joe getting fed up and frustrated. And now that was the his pitfall and what led to his downfall. So so stuff here, no complaints. I thought it was a really really fun way to start the show. Absolutely. And I know that like I said, some of Joe's kind of going through a slump here. He's not doing well in the they're doing the Bountreville glory series during this time. Now we're getting into look more of that. But we go next to a highlight package for styles and Daniels, because they are the main event.

And the first thing that show is the unbreakable match from 2005. The first time that Dave Meltzer decided, hey, I'm going to give TNA a five-star matchup. And honestly, it's well worth it. I've gone a record to say that this is one of those matches that is golden-goated for a reason. It is damn good. Holds up well. It still holds up well to this day. It is so damn good. We get a backstage deal where Daniels arrives. And then we quickly cut to one of my favorite segments for the entire night. And why is that? Because we have a autograph signing here between suicide, curry man, and segmental. These three guys are literally just signing autographs on the outside. We couldn't get them booked on the show. I'm disappointed in that. But it does go into the next deal. In which Eric Young, he's arriving. He's just literally looking for a tag team partner. The key said he had a tag team partner, but unfortunately he got injured. So he's asking suicide.

Curryman, Sangriento. Could one of you guys be my partner? And who's the one that tells the explanation for this? Why Curryman, of course. So I'm going to dust off the Curryman a little bit here. To which he says, a suicide, he injured. Sangriento has a no-walk visa. And Curryman has a fight tomorrow in Japan in a fire championship match. Like it's Korydina. And as soon as I heard Korydina, I'm like, wait, what? What year is it? Like this is 2011. What Korydina hasn't been relevant yet. But I guess he's big in Japan. So I guess also for those who are going to be seeing like, that's a pretty offensive stereotype for you to use. That is literally what Curryman is. And he's one of the best things in TNAs. So you're not doing an Asian accent. You're doing an accent of a white guy doing an Asian accent. So you're just doing a white guy's voice. So it's not offensive. Right. Exactly. It's, it wasn't even Asian accent. It's a curryman accent. And that's totally defy. Spicy. It's a spicy accent. There we go. So it looks like Eric Young can't find a partner.

But then, oh, show yeah, boy. I can't believe you're still doing this. It's 2011. Geez. Please. Here comes Sharkboy. He's coming in. He's walking. He's talking. He's laying. Eric Young, you need a partner. What? Well, I'll tell you what? What? I'll be your tag team partner. What? Oh, yeah. I'm going to look to kick some bass. And that's the fish in line. Because Sharkboy said so. Okay, he didn't say all that. But in my mind, that is exactly what he said. So might as well have been had that. I wonder if they threw some season this at all sharky. Because I noticed they didn't use the the old music he used to use, which is basically just still colds me. I was so bummed by that. As soon as that came up, I was like, no, you can't do the Sharkboy thing unless he's got the best. He's got the chummer. That's all you need. That's fair. But yeah. So Eric Young gets a tag team partner in Sharkboy. So guaranteed we may have a match with the Knight Contender right here.

Probably. Speaking of which, up next, we have Douglas Williams. He comes out and he has an open challenge for everybody. He's just like, I'm ready to fight somebody. I'm going to go into a weight back air accident. I don't think that's an egg. Well, I know some bad news. I've got some bad news. Nobody wants to take me up on my challenge. Therefore, I'm just going to go home. And nope, here comes Mark Askins. And I will say this. I had no idea who this guy was. And then I looked up somebody's matches. I'm like, oh, this guy's cool. I kind of like this guy. And I also put down that Douglas Williams has just a killer tag. I was very good. I was like, what did you do, Doug? What happened from Thursday night on impact to regular? Oh, that's right. Thursday night impacts are usually taped. So there's probably a month where he got this chance. Or yeah, makes sense. What can I say to the start then? Wrestling pin exchange is all around to start off.

Just this British bloke. Yeah, this is fun. This is fun. We got we have forearm and a headbutt exchange between these two guys. When they start throwing headbutts at each other, I was like, oh my god, this. Okay, we had a fun matchup with Samojo and Kaz. Now we got these two guys literally being like, oh, we're just going to hit each other. It's like, you're okay. I'm cool with this. Not quite what the exhibition was about, but I'm still cool with this. We get Askins doing a monkey flip from a hip toss attempt by Doug Williams. That was so seamlessly transist. I loved that. And Williams whips hiskins into the apron. Does a snap suplex to the floor? Just, hmm. Anytime somebody hits the floor on the outside, it's just rough. We get a surfboard stretch, the gory special to which I was like, oh, we're getting this. This is really good. I like this. I like this. He backs him into a corner, but then how's going to be able to fight back with a missile dropkick to do another strike off?

Just please, please more. How's going to say some reverse elbows, including a leaping and a quarter close line? Then they do like a spring line question mark. I think that's what I should do. He like slipped up a little bit, so a kind of got him, but not really as little tough. Yeah. But then they do a, he does a kip up into a cutter, to which I was like, okay, that's very nice. Sign this dude. Just sign this dude. If he does one of the coolest things like this, he needs to be on the freaking roster. Williams does his corner knee. He does, he goes for a dive, but each a super kick. Always a good spot. I don't care if anybody says that's always one. Hoskins slips on the turnbuckle. Oh, come on. I remember this. He goes to the top. He slips a little bit, and then we get a bleep, and I'm like, oh, Hoskins is being naughty. He misses the shooting star press. We get a roll up by Williams, and that's it.

That's the finish. We don't get a chaos rolling suplex. I was, I was, too, too, for roll up finishes all so far. I mean, there we go. After the matchup, Williams raises Hoskins hand, and they do a handshake. Nice little show respect between the two. I give this another solid B matchup. This, I did enjoy it. It was different from the first matchup, so you have to have that kind of like variety with this. But honestly, it's two guys that are going out there and having a really, really good matchup. Anything I would have improved on, I think if you would have put the chaos theory suplex in here, it probably would have bumped a little bit. Honestly, highlight for me for that matchup was Hoskins slipping on the turbuckle and just cussing on the air. He just, he didn't like fall to his back. He just kind of slipped off and just went right back up. Like we wouldn't notice both. Right. No, I guess that was the second highlight. The first highlight was that Kip up into a car, just, gosh, when you said, when you said the, you knew who Hoskins was, it was like, yeah, I can't understand why people know this guy and why he's so great.

So I will say that, I mean, this is very early Hoskins. So I've been following, I started the progress wrestling timeline from their first chapter, which was in like 2012 and then they're still going today. But Hoskins, he's like, I would say, he's like pretty, I guess, just plucky babyface, like kind of flamboyant guy here. And he kind of transitions into kind of like a team who Adam Cole at some point. But then around like 2014, he like completely changes his style. He just wears black tights, black boots, black kick pads. And he begins to incorporate like MMA stuff into his off fan to like kicks, a lot of submissions. Very similar to like a Brian Danielson kind of like that type of style he begins to incorporate. It's like a kind of a blank year version of him. He gets so much better within a couple of years. So I was watching this. It was like, it was a fine match. But in the back of my head, I was like, oh man, Hoskins is not even close to where he would be like in a matter of years. So if you want to check out some like 2014, 2015, 2016

Hoskins, that would be my suggestion. Because that dude was so good. I mean, I think he's still going at it today too. But yeah, it was cool to see him and TNA. I didn't know he made an appearance in TNA. I don't know if this match was maybe good enough to land him a permanent contract. But it was cool to see him in old Duggy Williams here. I was much appreciated to see the varying styles. I mean, that's kind of what the exhibition evolved to was just different styles of wrestling. And this was not the high fly match, but it was kind of what it was designed to be. Just a couple of Brits grappling on the mat. And there was some fun parts of it. I enjoyed this one. Yeah. Isn't it kind of crazy looking back at some of these older matches? And you then have like the perspective of who they are today. Like obviously for you, the Haskins is definitely one of them. For me, there's a couple of people, Pyrrhen Wisconsin, that I've had the chance to kind of see just evolve into these great wrestlers. I think one that I will definitely shout out is a guy by the name of Salem Crane,

who kind of started off as just kind of like a sort of dark gritty moody kind of character. And we actually even had like this really funny kind of like on screen kind of like rivalry going on where I'm just the fan that's kind of heckling him. He's just the wrestler that's just literally trying to get me to shut up. And anytime he wins, we're just shoving in my throat. And then when you turn baby face, we had a nice little first-sokal moment where he just damaged it. Shoving in my throat, he's like, yeah. I just, yeah. Clip the hat. There we go. Another clip moment. I'm just clickbait for you, Kyle, aren't I? You're really are. You're lucky. I'm not recording this. You are. Well, so I mean, some people will just find a way to just be like, clip that, put it there, everything. Yeah. But yeah, there's a moment where Salem Crane turns like baby face. And he wins a second. He wins a water city championship in ACW Wisconsin. And there's a moment where I'm just I'm falling for him. He has his arms extended out. He's just like, come on.

And we share an embrace. And I got to see him recently. And he's actually said that one of our friends who lives in Florida now, Nathan Gusts, shout it to him. Every time it shows up on his anniversary on his Facebook, there's just two photos that I take of Salem Crane. Literally just looking right at me with a camera. And it takes, and anytime that pops up, Gust'll just be sending him those photos and be like, hey, remember this? I remember this because literally it was Crane versus Gust in a matchup or Gust one. And Crane is just like crawling to the back. He's crawling conveniently where I was sitting. So literally. Crane. No. No, I didn't. We're literally like jaw jacking with each other. And Crane is just saying, I hate you. I hate you so much. So it's just what I was thinking. We're like, a blast from the past. It's awesome. Yeah. Crane. Speaking of blast from the past, we go backstage.

We have SoCal Val who has not aged at all. And I know this because she is still beautiful to this day. Back with somebody who has aged very poorly. That being, Austinaries. He comes back. He is, of course, being himself, which, I mean, what else can you say more than it's Austinaries. He compliments Val's outfit. He gives it a three out of five. That was the first thing we're like, OK, I'm starting to get why people liked him back in the day. Then he does this. And when he said this, yeah, we're trying this again, ladies and gentlemen. So let's go back to what we're talking about with Austinaries. Do we have to sabotage your next? I didn't want to talk about it. Oh, I thought I was rhino again. Those that don't know, check out the apron on podcast for that one. So Austinaries, Becca SoCal Val gives the outfit a three out of five. And we get the Austinaries calling out the true fans of wrestling.

And also the ones that are watching on illegal streams that are choking on their food. And this is the moment where I was like, I'm sorry, what? Choking on unhealthy food. Oh, that's right. I shouldn't have corrected. But yeah, I had to rewind that and be like, did he really just say that? And sure enough, he said it. I'm like, oh, illegal streaming in 2011. Who to thunk? And I may remain on watching this. I'm downloaded from the from the from the seas. But but I did not choke on any food while watching this. He says that he's not of the Nola midget. He's not a spot monkey. He's a polished wrestler adds to the no limits. The other three are good, but they're not great. And they're not the greatest that ever lived. So he's already polishing himself as the greatest man that ever lived. Boy, we get we get a year of this. And then he proves that he just proves it somewhat. Yeah, Sky Rock gets after this pretty much no kidding.

I honestly, I'll say this. He goes on to challenge for the exhibition title, like almost immediately after this. I didn't think it was this fast. I thought it was going to be like, okay, we're going to get maybe like, you know, a couple of people during the shows. But then's like, no, he's immediately the exhibition. I'm like, okay, cool. So we're not even we're putting that rock it on this. Does he not hold it until like the next destination X where he catches in for option C. Correct. But he actually he actually wins it like not too long after the show spoiler. That's wild. That's wild. So we go into the next matchup and it's generation me a K a or soon to be known as the young bucks, taking on Eric Young and don't don't don't don't don't don't shock boy. Oji Shark Boy thong Oji Shark Boy theme song. Well, boy, you want to see Shark Boy's song. I mean, I think I think I think you did show it on the show. So to be fair, I didn't slip a little bit. Yeah. We also get a Prince brotherhood justice reference by I think it was Jeremy Borash.

And I had to listen to that twice too. I'm like, okay, again, continuity. I'm cool with this. I'm totally cool with this. So Shark Boy and Eric Young. We get a nice funny moment between these two where they just can't decide who's going to wrestle first. So they're just like, you go first. Okay, they both step out. No, you go for okay, they will step in step out step in step out. They go for a little while. You know what? This is why wrestling is funny. Stupid. Leave me alone, ladies and gentlemen. They're they're a match made in heaven. These two. Yes, they are. So we get. Shark Boy coming in. He stomped a mud hole and walking it dry. Joseph's that there's press elbow deal. We get chance of super Eric to which I'm like, whoo, that there you go. If only we would have gotten super Eric just one night only if only, but it's fine. We get Eric Young and Max, Max Buck. They are doing some fast pace back and forth with each other into which I'm like, Oh,

Eric Young, he can go cool. You like this? You get an inverted ton of drop from Eric Young and then the jump on the ass by shark boy. Classic chomp ass. Generation me doing a nice little double team deal on shark boy. Jeremy Buck gets shark boy to sleeper. Interesting. Generation me do a double team. What I call it the Sammy's a drop kick where it's like a little like a little jump off drop kick deal. Shark boy does his what I call the shark breaker, his neck breaker maneuver. Then something out of nowhere during this match up, Eric Young has gone from his like, I guess like gray shorts to wear and red shorts. Apparently we found the shark boy thong. The original on draw day this Eric Young. His pants off. He is the one that comes in as a house of fire. He doesn't have a belly belly. We get Jeremy doing a slingshot X factor and then he rolls back into a moonsault.

Classic generation me. I just I love this. Just when they're just like, oh, we're going to do this move and then cameras not going to catch me. We. We have max hitting a spring term buckle cutter to which I'm always amazed that he does this onto Eric Young. The camera misses it because it's of course they did. Shark does a shark drummer to max and then we get the young blood neck breaker by Eric Young for the one two three shark boy and Eric Young are the winners. And at the post match, this this visual drove me nuts and I loved it. So at this time, Eric Young is the television champion and he's still holding the classic TNA World Heavyweight Championship. At this point, he hands the TNA World title to Shark Boy. He starts walking away and Shark Boy, there's this visual of him holding onto the TNA belt and he's looking at the camera.

And I don't think myself is don't do this to me. Don't do this to me. I want this now. I want this. Eric Young comes back. He's like never mind. Take this back. It just walks away with it. Yeah, I. I will say this. I know Will if he listens to the show, he's going to just be up the wall then I'm doing this. I gave this match a B. I loved this match up. It was so much fun. I know that I did the same thing with EY and Orlando Jordan versus Inc. Inc. at Bound for Glory in the previous year. Well, that's the character. I know, but it was a fun match. So I was like, and he gave it a D to which I was like, no, this was entertaining. This was fun. This is a B quality matchup. Same thing with this matchup. This is just entertainment match. It gets the people just enjoying things. You kind of have to have one at least one of these matches. Is it the stinker of the show? Honestly, no, I will say this is not the stinker of the show. This is definitely going to like, okay, we're close to the peak of the show with this matchup.

But I enjoyed this matchup. Kyle, what'd you think of this? It was it was so funny watching early young books generation Max and Jeremy. It was just like you could tell they weren't quite as fluid as they would end up being. But they were still very good. You know, young baby faced boys out there. And yeah, I would agree. It was kind of a buffer match, which is crazy to say about a future young books match. But it was Eric Young and Sharkboy and their shenanigans. It was it was, look, you had the classic exhibition stuff in the beginning. Then you have the technical wrestling in the British match. And now you have the comedy. So they're throwing some variety at you. So it served its purpose. I might throw like a see added. It was fine. But it's nothing that I would say. It's something that I will forget in about an hour or two. So, but it was it was fine while watching it. Fair enough. Fair enough. So we get on a highlight deal of Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles winning the tag titles at Slim Horserie. That was that was a really good match with America. I just wanted it just just short live tag team that accomplished so much in future.

LAX. Oh, he's really tag team wrestling really good. And then it's like we'll give your beer money and motorcycling machine. That's ooh, yes, give me that filet man young just so well made. So backstage we'd see Daniels talking to somebody that AJ Styles, he comes in, he's just like, Hey, you ready to fight tonight? And Dan's like, Oh, yeah, we're going to just goes back to his conversation. So now we go backstage and we have Zima Ion. Oh boy, this I'm going to say this. This this promo he tried. He tried. The only thing says the only thing that is in the way is his Ion the contract is he keeps his eye on the contract with the three guys. I love it. I didn't even catch it. Well, I think I was half listening, but keep my eye off. That's that's some good stuff.

That's great. I was like, I was like, Oh boy, geez, that I appreciate it. I appreciate it. But dude, he says that he is the best. He may be an underdog, but he's ready to prove everyone wrong and that he deserves this. Well, I mean to be fair, you are going to get signed eventually. I'm just going to do that. So we go to the next match up and it is ultimate X number one contendership ultimate X match. We get amazing red Alex Shelley, Robbie E and Shannon Moore. And they also talked about that this is the 25th edition. So this is the 25th time that ultimate X has been utilized. Honestly, as well as things where I'm like, Oh, this is kind of a nice way to for them to kind of incorporate that. Right. I like it. I like it. I mean, it definitely is better than the 26th edition that they do like two weeks later with a bison Brian Kendrick spoiler. Oh, yeah, there's nothing more I could say about that.

You summed up perfectly. This match though was anything but it was woohoo. We have Shannon Moore coming in with a spring cross body in very atomic drop bulldog. We'll get he's going crazy. Amazing red. Let him go crazy now. Her can run a spin kick. Kip up spin kick. Just. Yes. Shelly's like, my turn. Super kick shops dragon screw into the ropes. Robbie is seated in one quarter and then more gets into a tree of woe and we get Alex Shelly doing a bit of an homage to Chris Sabin, if not his own spiel where he does a low drop kick to hit. Shannon Moore's head into the. Another region of. Rodney. Yeah, head on head collision. You could say, but oh yes. It's. Honestly, I like headbutt now that I think about it was back the head hit the butt of the button. Rob Robbie does his sweeping side effect moved and then he doesn't eat defeat.

I've Robbie. What are you doing? Good dude, but I like it. I like it. I like it. Sport does. Spore. More does his spring moonsault to the outside and then he does a poetry and motions ask deal. Red. Oh my god. This move just caught me completely off guard. He does a dual standing shooting star press to two guys to which I was like red. Stop it, but also keep doing this. He does multiple spin kicks to Robbie E because why not maybe give one to cookie ball. Red it. Oh no, it's paint review. That's legal. Spike TV is where to know. No, no, got it. He's run to the outside, but he does a corkscrew dive to everybody on the outside. Red doing a springboard drive kick to Robbie Eve while he's on the wires. Just yep, we get a nice little X spot there. Shannon Moore. He climbs the steel structure on the on the girth. He's climbing all the way up because how they have it is that they have the steel X on the top and then underneath it are the red wires there.

So he was high up there. He was very high up there. So he climbs to the top and then he goes to the center and he's trying to go down through the center to get to the middle. It's kind of smart. I guess the logic is that nobody can rip you down if you come from the top down. So it's kind of smart, I guess. It is a smart deal. I agree with that. It also encouraged the chance from fans of please don't die. Please don't die. We get a spot where cookie is grabbing Shelley. Oh yeah, by the way, cookies and robbies or poo cares. Who cares at this point? Get it. It's like snooki everybody. Get it. To you get it. You get it. And it's also cookie because she's anything but sweet. Well, come on now. We get Shelley finally get away from cookie because he believes in no carb diet. No one gives. I see. So Shelley gets into the middle of the ring. Him and Moore. However, she is ran off the первый lap of recently.

But Larry is left with secretary got some of on his knee if I'm not mistaken. So for a guy who, you know, got his knee basically messed up, he was walking good. So it's like, okay, eventually we're going to get the guns back in full force. I like it. I like it. I like it. I like it. Another B matchup. It's a good showing between these guys. It's not as extreme as a lot like the early Ultimate X matches or nobody was doing like any crazy S-bumps or something like that. It's an Ultimate X match. It serves its purpose for what it does. And you got people that get their spots in. It's a spot fest matchup and it serves really well.

Yes, interesting crop of people in this match. It's not like other than amazing red. You don't have like the super high flying guy, which I feel like you kind of need that in this match. So it was a fine Ultimate X match. I feel like the finish was a little bit abrupt in anti-climactic. Even though there was some good drama with everybody like kicking each other off and stuff and chaining coming from the top was a fun unique spin on it. But yeah, it was just okay. I mean, you had to have an Ultimate X match on this card. I would have rather seen like a Jack Evans in this one or like maybe Generation Me maybe a small. I don't know. But it was fun for what it was. Maybe Kaz somebody who has been in all kinds. Yeah, he's like one of the top guys in that match type. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, no. I want to agree with that. We get the highlights from AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels from the final resolution 2009 where AJ Styles was the champion at that point. Had a really good matchup between the two of them. AJ Styles was victorious in that one.

Not much more you can really say about that matchup. But we go back and we have the man himself formerly well renowned name of Koval. It's low key. I think people remember him as Koval or as the girls like to say, here's Koval. What a timeline. Basically, what does he say in this? I think you'll appreciate this Kyle. He says, go hard or go home. And he's going to prove that he still belongs. Well said, well said, Loki. Well, the very subdued Loki promo. Hey, but I kind of all these guys, like him and Evans, like they're usually like very like wild with their promos. But I was like, hello, I'm Loki. I'm here to give it my all and should best my opponents. Good luck, everybody. Kind of weird, but you might not remember me, but I was also playing, I guess you could call it

somewhat Asian guy with the name of sent sheet. And I was just kind of this guy, you know, right here. I was also part of the agents. I actually don't I'm I've never really thought about it. What ethnicity is Loki? The same ethnicity is Bruce Willis. How about that? Are Wendy's? Yes. Is he just a white guy? He's a white guy that knows how to have a tan. Yeah, it's like taz. It's like I always thought taz was black growing up, but he's not. So I guess it's just a similar. Oh, you want? Honestly, not you're bringing it up. I would have thought the same thing. Actually, did you just figure that out? Then I just break the news. No, but it is one of those things where it's like, okay, you know what? I feel like he could have possibly made that a thing. I don't think he would go fully like going into it. I think Booker T would have some words about that, but it's a few of those things where it's like, he's he's got the attitude and he's got kind of like the exit for that kind of,

I guess, I guess it's the New York thing because both of them are from New York's maybe it's just maybe just the fine line between them. I don't know. I also want to match with the sex doll. It's like said she what? Oh, yeah, no, he literally had a match with Chris Sabin where Sabin Sanjay and lethal were doing a lot like Jack S stun. The Jack asked off. Yeah, it's stuff. Yeah, so and then no surrender. Literally, Loki just like kicked a sex doll and Sabin's face in one. This now it's coming back to me. Yes, that that unfortunately happened. Yes, but the good news is they had a better match at Boundford glory, which I enjoyed it. And you know what, shockingly enough, the match ended with a roll up. Which is for the good. How else was you went to match? Yeah. Well, let's see if this matchup will end up with anything but a roll up. It is nostalgia mania here as we have Rob Van Dam versus Jerry Lynn. This matchup was actually

supposed to take place last year, the previous year at hard core justice. But unfortunately, Jerry Lynn could make it. So sad boo had to fill in and you know, in the words of sad boo, I just point into the sky. I was like, what point you to the big thing in the sky? But yeah, no, so Jerry Lynn was like, Hey, I'm feeling better now. Why don't we find a destination next and Rob's just like, cool. I think that's that's literally what it was. All you need. Hey, remember, we him, remember we wrestled 12 years ago. Let's do that again. Rob's like, well, I mean, I could be going for the title, but you know, man, I think I could probably wrestle you one more time. Why not? Let's see what happens. So yeah, that's kind of the century what we got here is a match of nostalgia and they basically claim that, you know, before the exhibition was a thing, we were the exhibition essentially. It's like, you were anything but exhibition in brand. So yes, I would agree with that. So yeah, I had some pretty high stage. Sandra, you know what, they're a bit older,

so maybe they won't cause hard cores. They would back in like the 90s, but still I feel like this could be good. And yeah, ladies and gentlemen, let's find out if they did. So we get a nice little coat of honor handshake between these two guys. They're respect to each other. I was like, oh, yeah, this is about respect. So face versus face matchup right here, we get a classic fast pace back and forth between these guys. And I mean, legit looks like they have not missed a single day of like fighting each other. It's like they wrestle a lot of callbacks. Yeah, they're like they wrestled last week. It's like watching, you know, Ricky steamboat and fight Chris Jericho. And it's like, dude, you haven't missed a beat. What what are you? Yeah. Who are you? And why are you this amazing Ricky? Because this is the dragon blood. It's a dragon blood. It's the dragon blood man. Then oh, well, thank you, Ricky. I appreciate that. Literally, I have classic fast paced back and forth. And I put next note, wrestling is fun. It was literally like early on in this matchup. I'm

like, wrestling is fun. This is just good stuff, man. It's the other fun. That's for sure. I mean, they're just countering like their classic moves at the start, you know, whether it's robbing damn triangle for a leg drop. Jarin, dragon for like they're just going fast base. It's just one of those things where I looked at this and I thought, man, they must have watched that RVD and Matt Hardy matchup and just thought, oh, well, we got top that now. How could you? I wish I could say that I was joking about that. But literally, I think the first time I saw, no, it was the second time these guys fought on paper view. Rob Bandam, Matt Hardy just started almost doing like a Jerry Lin. Rob Bandam kind of match up between the two of them. And I was there, he just like, what the hell did this come from? I love it. But where the hell did this come from? Oh, it was good. I would not have guessed that'd be good. But maybe it is. Yeah, for this year's Matt Hardy. Yeah, no, that that surprised me too. But you know, honestly, I was happy that I saw it. Sure. So RVD does his like like spin kick, Jarin Lin throws, uh, Rob Bandam out of the bearcade does his baseball side. He does a

Topek on Hilo because yeah, but RVD he comes back. He hits a rolling thunder. He hits a wheel kick. He does his bearcade kick where he puts the guy in the bearcade goes in the apron. Rob Bandam down. Just love that. Does a sling leg drop. I mean, she's the least. They introduced a chair into this matchup, which I was kind of like, is this no disqualification? Well Jerry's pissed. He needs to, he's getting desperate. He progressively gets more angry. He's pulling hair. He's gouging eyes. Now he's got a chair. He needs to do what he can to beat him. That's fair. And um, I'm trying to, try and remember who was a referee for this meant. Oh, that makes it too much sense. Early, early boy. Of course, it's the governor. All right. So he just let him let's go. Lin does a famouser to the chair and that causes Rob Bandam to start bleeding from the head. I was literally just like, Oh, we're actually getting blood on the show. Huh. So this is like, this is like before a W decided to abuse that. This is cool. I like it. I get a little

hard chore yet. I love the call back to their, their ECW match. It that's such a slick, like he hopped over the chair and leg dropped him on. It was so good. So good. Oh, and then it gets better because then we get Jerry Lin doing a rolling power bump from the turnbuckle. Um, to Rob Bandam and Rob Bandam just launches himself to that chair. I yelled. I did this one of the craziest bumps I've ever seen. He flies backwards. 75% of the way across the ring and his head just smashes the chair, like perfectly, but also like, not perfectly. So it looked good. It looked devastating, but man, that was, that was wild. It just, just literally is just like, guys, I know you're trying to put out a really good matchup, but please be a little cautious. No, it's okay, dude. We, we did this in 1990s. It's totally fine. You're like 20 years older from that man. They're on less coke here than they were back then. It's healthy. So Bandam, he fights back

with his fan, damnator hits a five star frog splash and we get the win. Rob Bandam shown why he's Mr. Pay Per View with getting a win over Jerry Lin. I gave this matchup a full fledge. Hey, I love this matchup. I literally was taken back to that time where these guys were just killing it with each other and, um, yeah, no, I, I love, I love this matchup. I would argue that this might have been match of the night, but there is one other matchup that definitely probably holds that title. But honestly, loved it, loved it. Yeah, I mean, uh, it's probably impossible to meet the expectations going into this match that everybody had. I mean, these guys had their classics back 99 or whatever it was. And like you said, they're a bit older and some of the sequences were a little slower, but it was still crisp. They still obviously have that chemistry. The callbacks to the previous matches, some of the new things they brought in Jerry kind of progressing to be the heel in this one a little bit and RVD getting the win. So just a solid as hell match, just a good,

not a ton of crazy high spots, nothing too egregious. It was just a really, really good wrestling match. I liked it. Yeah, I like it. I like it a lot. This was definitely a good appetizer. All right, but we go backstage. We have Jack Evans, who does his, you know, Jericho, Mo with the legendary line of you only got one shot. Do not miss your chance to blow. And basically saying he's going to win. Just, uh, it was, did Jack Evans was so entertaining and like ring of honor, like the wigger stuff, like, what's up brother? Yo, Jack Evans. Do you know this? And you're usually like, well, I'm going to go out there and do my flips. Here's an M&M lyric. Let's get at it. Well, also, let's bear in mind that we do have two, uh, clickbait moments here, one with Kavall. I mean, low key and then one with Jack Evans here. We have either go hard, go home, then you've got one shot. Don't miss your chance to blow.

I want to, I want to know who just to say it. Hey, let's make this as sexual as possible because, you know, it's always sexual. It's probably all on them with I guess, but uh, who knows. But what we do know is that this next matchup is a contract match. The winner of this match gets a contract with T and A. It's Auconaries. Jack Evans, low key and Zima Ion, a fatal four-way matchup. And I've said it already. I'm going to say it again. As soon as he came out, I literally saw his attire and I was like, that's not low key. That's Kavall. Because he had the white ball. He was in the Kavall. Yeah, that's a good call actually. He was in the white and yellow deal. And honestly, I kind of looked at this and it took me back to that YouTube video where somebody made a remix of the Kavall rap. Do you remember that? It sounds familiar. I can't remember. All right, hold on. Hold on. Just for everybody's listening pleasure as well as for my guest here, let me bring you guys the Kavall rap. All right,

behind every great man is a great, great woman. The problem for them is I got two of them. Go up. I'm the pick of the litter because I'm the biggest candidate top and running Twitter. Go get them. Boy sick. I'm going to go far. I'm going to make people just look at, oh, show kind. You're too kind. Rather, you just want to enjoy. I mean, Michael, you'll be a star in no time. The Husky's pick is Mosey. He breaks all labels. But what he breaks most are called buffet tables. So come on now. It's show me what I'm packing because I'm the only reason for some total nonstop action. I didn't remember that at all until the last line. Then that immediately jogged my memory. That was something. You just remember that off the top of your head? Or do you have that written somewhere? I'm pretty sure I haven't written in the back of my head. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a tattoo of it. That's I'm sure you need to dump that puts a mouse in there because you should not have that wrap in the others. That's like that annoying thing that just sticks me. It's like the it's like the triple dent gum from inside out. I see. Yeah. Yeah. It just pops up every

now and then gets annoying every still like the first time. But you still have it there for reasons. And I have it for this reason here. Now, was it the perfect rendition? No. Honestly, you guys go check out the YouTube one. It's 10 times more entertaining than what he actually did. But we're not here talking about that wrap. We're not talking about his NXT time. Actually, I don't even know if I've ever got to talk about his time in NXT. But we will talk about this match up here. Evans. My God. This dude does a better spinner runie than Booker T does. This dude is literally like twirling on his head. And I'm just literally like, how do you do this? How do you do? How do you why boy do this? Best answer in wrestling. I'll say it right here. I don't care. I don't care who hears it. Best answer in wrestling. I will 100% agree with that. I don't even know if he incorporated that in his Lucha Underground deal. If he didn't, then that was a missed opportunity. But I'm sure he had. I remember him doing a handstand walk down the steps. So he had to bust out a spinner runie or two at least. Okay. Let's hope so. The fans are into every single person in here. There's chance of

everybody, everybody. Oh, one thing I did forget to mention. Let's talk about who these guys beat to get to this point. So we have Austin Aries defeating Kidcash and Jimmy Raive. We have Zima Aion defeating Fred Rico, Palacios and Dakota Darso. We have Loki defeating Jimmy Yang and Matt Bentley. Michael Shane shout out. Michael's cousin. And then we have Jack Evans defeating Jesse Sorenson and future Cruiserweight champion Tony Nice. I love it. I love it. I saw him and I was just kind of like, Oh, Tony Nice was a part of this. They're like, that's pretty nice. That's that was a very nice call back. But what's also nice is this matchup right here. So we have Loki doing his back kick into the corner. Just why why not? It's Loki. He's great. Jack Evans doing a flip

kick flip kick spin kick is what I have on here. So we have all these guys doing some cool stuff. And then Austin Aries with possibly the what the fuck moment of the entire show. He does these claw attacks. So instead of doing like a shop to everybody in the course, he's just clawing them like we're getting a running start to. That was a crazy part of this entire thing. I was just like, what what is happening here? Why is he what what he's just he claws Evans. He claws Zima. He calls Loki. I'm just thinking myself, okay, this is getting really weird. And then it was worth it because in the end, he got a sandwich drop kick from every single one of these dudes. I was just like, okay, that was that was where I guess they weren't as devastating as he thought he's running jumping back ricks. It's it's kind of like that spot with Andrew Everett where he is proclaimed to be like the largest giant in the world. Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course. And he does this spot where you know how when a lot of people take down giant, they're all like trying to like dog pile them

just attack them. Right, right. And you get the big guy who do the whole raw and they all fall backwards. Well, for him, it's literally just like he does that. But everybody just kind of stands there like what? Continue to beat him up. Yes. I was actually part of one of those spots too, but I was not clued in on how the spot was supposed to go. So I'll see if I can find the footage of this and I'll show it to you. But um, hell yeah. It was a rumble match. And literally everybody else to stand there. But you just see me just falling backwards. That's how I was the comedy character. So it kind of makes sense. Sure. Um, so we have Jack Evans doing his drop soul. When he did that, I was like, Oh my gosh, tall London, each are hard out. So good. Austinaries just, Austinaries buzzkill. And what I mean by that is that there were some momentum going in the Austin areas was like, Nope, we're stopping that. We're not having every we're not having fun with you. Uh, Jack Evans, he flies and Loki catches him with a crazy, oh my god. So they were like,

at least two points in this matchup where somebody's going for like a dive or something like that. And then Loki just comes out and just blasts them in the face with just a spin kick out of mid air. This check Evans to what else nasty. That just, oh my gosh. Then we get a double submission deal with a Loki locking a dragon sleeper and Austinaries locking in a Lance last chanceery. And we have Austinaries and Loki. They're doing a chop off with each other. And it was at this moment here that I looked behind these guys and I saw a sign in the audience that said Vince fears the exhibition. I yeah, I mean, WWE at this time didn't have anything like this for sure. No, but um, would this have happened in July? Oh wait, did I miss that? I didn't even talk about what he was even going on. I'll talk about it after this after the show. Um, where was I? Oh yeah, Vince fears exhibition. Um, Loki does a backland roll up and then Jack Evans. He just flies out

of nowhere and just breaks that pin up. I literally just looked at that like, oh, dude, Loki just, your stomach's going to be hurting. But also, wow, that was an awesome moment. There were a few times in this match where like somebody would be going at it in the ring and this out of frame, Jack Evans just flies in from out of nowhere like two or three times that happened. Zima Ion, he does his reverse GTS style. Here we have Loki doing a stump to the back of Austin aries because Austinaries was going for a cover. Just, oh my gosh, that was brutal. But Jack Evans does a beautiful, beautiful, hera can rana. Just tell you, just Jack Evans, I love this dude. I'm just gushing about Jack Evans because he's so good. Austinaries, he goes for a dive and surprise number two from from Loki. Surprise, motherfucker. Just kick him in the head. I think that's what that his move needs to be called now. We just need to get like somebody to edit in some fries, motherfucker. Surprise, motherfucker.

Bob. Jack Evans, he does a spring twist and kick chance from the fans of sign them all. And this is wrestling. Yeah, the ball chance was pretty cool. Yeah. It is one of those chances. Like, oh, wow, I've never heard that before. That is, that is awesome. Jack Evans, he hits a beautiful Frankenstein. Every time, see like every single time I think Jack Evans, it always starts with beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. It's like, should I just call Jack the beautiful Jack Evans? That's beautiful. Jack, like beautiful Bobby, but beautiful Jack. Oh, that would be so good. Zima, I am, he hits a 450, but Jack Evans hits a, say with the folks, beautiful, 630 splash. But unfortunately, Loki gets his knees up, which, that kind of practice. Austinaries, he hits Loki with a corner drop kick and then a brainbuster for the one, two, three,

awesome areas is now signed with TNA. He is outside. He's given the contract and he says, are you surprised? I'm the greatest man to ever live. Twitch, we're like, yeah, you kind of prove that tonight. So fair enough. Yeah, like I said, I would have said that Lin and Van Dam would have been match the night, but gotta give it to these guys. The four-way matchup was the best matchup of the night, a quality matchup. This was really good. Just like, everything flowed very well in this matchup. There's not a single point where I was like, this looks out of place, this looks out of like, no, it was like, somehow they found like all the pieces of the puzzle and it just made this beautiful picture. That is what I can describe with this match. Yeah, dude, for sure. Yeah, this was my match of the night as well. It's just like looking at the names here. It's crazy that they're all fighting for one contract. Why aren't they all signed? I think they would eventually all be signed, but yeah, dude, Austin Ares, it's the win and he's world champion in like a year, which is crazy.

Fighting for a contract and then he's running the little damn thing. So yeah, now this match is awesome. Fun blend of styles. I think even Zima Ion, who was the kind of the odd one out here. He was like, the other three guys were Indy Darlings for years and years and then you got this new guy. But Zima would have a pretty decent run in TNA as well, I think. And then obviously, he's in WWE now. He's the only one here that's in WWE. That is true. I mean, you know, Loki, he had his chance and failed miserably. Austin Ares, honestly, I don't even know what I could say about his career. It wasn't good. It wasn't bad. It was just kind of like, he was WWE. Yeah, it was not as much as you would expect. Yeah. I like can't say that because it does actually now harken back to what we were talking about packed earlier. I will say that, you know, with his cruiseway title matches, I would say that two of his best cruiseway matches were with Ares because he had the match on the pre-short media.

Then they had the submission match like two pink cruise later. Pock and Ares in a pre-show match. That's wild. That's wild. That should have kicked off WrestleMania, honestly. I can fucking made it. That WrestleMania. Good name. Do you know it? Yeah. I mean, yeah, it should have been the opening match for sure, but yeah, it's the most talented dude's ever do it. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Cruiserweight Championship made a venting WrestleMania over Roman Reigns and Undertaker. Who would have thought you would see that day? But in alternate universe, it happened and it's one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time. Possibly possibly. Oh my god. I want to live in that world now where it's just like, hey, we give everybody a chance. Royal Rumble winner. They get to choose the championship of their choosing. Who is the Rumble winner that year? Orton. Orton versus, I guess who was it? Neville the champion. Oh, dude, much like when we had Orton and Ali in that matchup,

that was fun. I think that would be another fun matchup. There's no way that Orton's going to be countering the red arrow with the RKO. There's no way. No, not going to happen. Not going to happen. That red arrow is just going to kill the RKO like dead. Yeah. Oh man, I didn't love that actually in an alternate world that made a veteran WrestleMania is for the Cruiserweight championship. It's right. I might note this down. Yeah. Radio Orton versus Neville. I mean, sign me up. I was about to say when it comes to those kind of matches, what is that you do? You just do that. Just a couple of. Slapy match right there. Slapy slapping. Oh yes. We have our first Slapy Slapy on the brace for impact podcast. It's all the legendary, legendary moment. Yes. So, yeah, Austin areas, he gets to go. He's here in TNA. Now we get to go to talking about, oh yeah. It's him. It's our favorite boy. It's the monster

of this. No, he's not white, but he is in a bit of slump because he's in immortal and talking about I'm already going to script the name again. Is it is it's changed? What is this? Sun, Sun Zoo. Sun zoo. I am never going to be slightly miss. I might be slightly miss pronouncing that, but it's suggest. Sun, Sun, you're saying you know what we're calling him Bob. It's going to come where we're just shinsuke. There we go. The book of Nakamura. There we go. There we go. S-U-N T-Z-U. First name S-U-N. Last name T-Z-U. Does it help? Yes. So, the book of Nakamura. Cool. We got it. The King of Strong said yes. So, he talks about from the book of Nakamura, you know, he just talks about attacking the heart and he's going to teach Brian Kendrick a lesson in pain and suffering. He will make the end quick, but not too quick with his weird missing bottom

toothy grin. What happened with his teeth again? I forget. So, if I remember correctly, I believe it was it actually involved Brian Kendrick. Where Kendrick accidentally kicked him in the bottom of his mouth and that's where the teeth got knocked out. It's a crazy look though. It is a crazy look. It just wishes that it was for a much better character because unfortunately we're still in the the weirdest abyss deal. I kind of like this presentation of abyss a little bit. He's almost like Raven-esque, which is like such a departure from the like the original abyss where he's just like this rabid monster that doesn't speak and now he's like this eloquent guy reading out of a book and cutting these probes. I thought it was a solid promo he was cutting and I don't know how much, maybe I'll get tired of it after a couple of shows, but I enjoyed this presentation of abyss. It was interesting. It's fair. Yeah, I think it's just because I've seen so much of abyss, but also how he's been used by Immortal. That for me it's just that. That's a little tough.

It's like I want the old abyss where he didn't talk where he was just automatic badass and he just kicked so much ass. He almost drowned a dude. It was awesome. He killed a guy. Oh yeah, no, I guarantee there's at least one story where Abyss killed it. Yeah, it took away his aura just like with Frickin Kane. He had to say two words and Kane's repertoire was just gone. It was Kady Vick. The Kain andites. I would argue Kain andites at least was okay. It's like okay, they're trying to make him just slightly funny. It's fine. But once they did Kady Vick, it was like no careers done. That just. I do. Yeah, resurgence, but yeah, yeah, your point. Let's gosh, I'm so thankful that nobody thought of the idea of like, well, what if we did this kind of deal where Abyss was out driving? He got drunk and he killed somebody. Bro, he's like, no, no, no, no, no, I guarantee that somebody was like, no, we're not, we're not, do you remember what they did on in WWE? It's like, oh yeah, bro, I did forget about that. That's why the

companies and the gutter. Okay, so they just weren't ready for it back then. They all now. What if we did a deal where he shot his father? How about that? Okay, that we might be able to get behind. And that they did. But who was who's going to be the father? Well, who do we got that competitive? What if it was James? Yes, his father could be James Mitchell, who's basically the Paul bearer of TNA. We tried to get Moody, but he was not interested. So to be fair, well, we can work with James Mitchell. Actually, I will say this anytime James Mitchell is on a TNA show, I'm literally just like hooked on like, okay, what's going on? I want to see us. What's going on? He's great. Even without the cocaine. He's a little better with the cocaine, but he's fine. All right, speaking of a Coke Dev Fun, let's go for the exhibition championship. It's Brian Kendrick versus the monster of this. I've already talked about what this matches for and why this match is happening. So let's just get right into it. We have the valiant Brian Kendrick just fighting off

a bit. And he's just fighting like crazy. It's like watching a toddler trying to beat up an adult and a business just stand there like, what are you doing, man? And this just was like, go away. Just go away. Then there comes a point where all this is happening. Brian Kendrick just keeps fighting and a business keeps throwing him and tossing him that he just decides, I'm going to read my book from the King of Wolfsburg. He wants to read from his strong style knock him or a book. He starts reading. I will say this was a funny part in the match. I will admit there's one good entertaining part of this where he's reading the caravan kind of gets in on him and he pushes the camera fan away. Oh, so good. I loved it. It was so good. He's like, get away. I'm reading. Top that rainbow connection. You're not in my book club. You're a bisfop. I would join it. Just to see what it's all about. Oh, let's start that lore right now. So like a really good. It would be in the the abyss book club. I think, man.

So let's say it's like five people. So we have a bisfop. I think James Mitchell would be there is kind of like the shaperone. Like Raven might be in there. I was about to say Raven too. Yeah, definitely Raven. Blue pant. I was going to say, I was going to say Blue Meanie. Maybe he just has nothing going on. I like that. I like that. Blue Meanie. Judas Macias. Judas Macias. He's the one that's kind of in the bean bag just reading sea spot upside down. I get Clifford the big red dog. Everybody else is just like reading Clifford the big red dog. And here's Judas Macias in a bean bag chair just reading Rod Run Spot. See. He's coloring with crowns. Like some of his blood just coming out of his mouth and he's just like marking. Oh, it always is. He's always leaking.

Oh, Matt Morgan. Matt Morgan would be the final person in that in that book club. Try to always. He's trying to read like the like the Geometrics kind of book of like DNA and stuff like that. Meanwhile, everybody else is just kind of reading like the blastering. No, no, this is where he actually gets rid of the stutter. He had to go to this book club to get rid of the stutter. So that's why now he is a kind of normal human being. And then he also found out that the black die was actually affecting his stuttering. So once he got back to blonde, he was just like, I can talk again. It's a really good point actually. You know, it wasn't it wasn't even black. It was literally Vince McMahon just be like, we got changes. Look, yeah, wait, what's that black stuff on the ground there? Smell, smell nice. Let's just put it in his hair. Put it in his face. The pine tar throwing on his head. That's fine. We'll put a little in his mouth too. That's why he was stuttering because he had to get the taste of the tar out of his mouth.

Is that it? Wow, it's a bunch. It's a bit of lore that I was not familiar with. I've learned something every week on this podcast. The lore of how the how the Abyss book club saved the career. Matt Morgan. I mean, who else put here? We're spreading the good word about the Abyss book club. Yeah. All right. So yes, he's reading the book. Oh, so there's a spot here where Abyss is, he's reading, he's going up to Kendrick. And when I saw this, I thought to myself, they better do what I think they're about to do. Because in my mind, I thought what was going to happen was that Brian Kendrick was going to kick the book up and hit Abyss right in the face. Oh, yeah. But no, he just kicks it out of his hands. And I was like, dude, missed opportunity right there. You could have given Abyss a paper cut right there. Missed that would have been too brutal though. For paper. Well, well, we'll talk about that in just a second here. So actually, that's the next thing to talk about is that I wish it was a paper cut because Kendrick for some

reason, he hits on a hard shot onto Abyss on his head. And this shot is just busting Abyss open to which I was kind of like, well, what? So, so all this stuff, he's doing like kicks and punches and stuff like that. That's, that's not affecting him. But just this one punch is like, was there like a glowing thing on there? Like, like how Brock Lesnar has that glowing thing around his, is, you know, junk, where like that's his weak point. Was there just like a glowing thing on a business head where it was just like, this is his weak point. You got to hit him there. I don't know about Brock's glowing junk. I think that's something that you, I think that's just something that you see. But well, I mean, I have the frift of backing up. I mean, freaking Seth Rollins did it to him. Undertaker's done it to him. Roman Reigns dead. I'm guaranteed Roman Reigns has dated him multiple times. So I'm just saying it's kind of like, kind of like there. I thought Randy, no, Randy Orton didn't do that to them. He, Brock Lesnar was literally just like, oh, there's a glowing thing on Randy Orton's head. Hold on. Boom, boom. And now there's more.

That's spot. There you go. There you go. But yeah. So Abyss is bleeding. He kicks Abyss out of the ring and then he does a dive to him. We're seeing Brian Kendrick. Yeah, he's getting the way. Yeah. Yeah. We can see Brian Kendrick tried. This, this was a cool spot here. I love this. So Brian Kendrick goes for the slice bread and Abyss stops him like midway grabs Kendrick and hit him with the shock treatment backbreaker. I saw that was like, oh, that's good. That, hmm. Okay. Arley, that's, that's where we're getting pretty good. Um, it's not enough to keep Kendrick down. He, Abyss goes up to Earl. He's threatening him. And somewhere, friends is just looking at him and be like, do it, do it, do it, do it. So naturally, um, Abyss counters an Irish whip. Brian Kendrick's like, oh, sorry, Earl, I'm not going to hit you. But then moves out of the way and Abyss clocks Earl. We get a ref bump.

First one of the nights. Yeah. Okay. And you know, it couldn't happen to a better person. Um, it's been 30 years. Let it go. Earl, Earl's fine. He didn't deserve it. Well, I mean, to be fair. Brad had a coming. You know, to be fair, I would say that, but he literally had a t-shirt that he was selling that said, yes, I screwed Brett. So I don't know if he's as innocent. Yeah, damn right. I did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He did it and get her done. I don't know why he's turned into layer of the cable guy. He gave the guy. Um, but Brian Kendrick is able to hit a slice bread on, um, on Abyss. Nice cool spot. Uh, but the referee is down, who should come out then the big old batch of potatoes himself, Eric Bischoff. He comes out and he is just jaw jacking Brian Kendrick. He even slurries. I was like, I will give you a huge check if you get the hell out of this right. I was kind of like, I might be tempted to take him up on that offer.

I mean, how much, you know, right? It's exactly, but Kendrick's just like, no, not my bride and just punks out. Eric Bischoff. I was at Eric Bischoff. No, bitch off. Bitch off for it. Oh, okay. Okay. I got confirmation from Kyle. That's that's no. Okay, I'm first. It's now it's now installed into my deal. Um, so he gets, he gets bitch down. And now here comes the wretched little bitches being immortal. So we get bully Ray, we get Gunner, everybody's favorite. And then we got, uh, uh, who else was that? Oh, Scott Siner. How can I forget Scott's time? He's the man. Who demand? Who demand Scott's time? So he, they're coming out, they're beating down on Brian Kendrick. But, you know what? Here comes some backup. Here comes Sharkboy. Here comes Jen me. And here comes amazing red. What do they do? They get taken down like immediately. I was like, oh, I come the first wave of exhibition guys was like, all the jobbers. Yeah, you see if you can handle this. There's like, boom, boom, boom, done. But then we get, we get aries. We get young. We get

Shelley. We get Doug Williams. I almost said Williams. I was like, nope, not P.D. Williams. That would be a cool. Douglass. Douglass Williams. Douglass Williams, Robbie E. Shannon Moore and Kaz, they come out. They're saving the day. They're beating up everybody. But he, uh, Brian Kendrick is going to get choke slammed by a bus. But he counters it into a victory role. And Earl Hebner counts the one, two, three. And the crazy part is he's not even the ring. He's just on the apron doing this counts. This can't be a legal pen. He's not in the ring. He's so far away. You can't see both shoulders. There's some Shiny reference. You know, maybe he did. Me a fucker. Oh, I'm never mind. I'm gonna come back. I'm gonna come back around. Watch how in one matchup, Earl Hebner can make you go from like, maybe he didn't need, maybe he didn't do it all bad to just be like, you want fuck you, Earl Hebner? What do you know? Lost all his goodwill with me, man. What do you know about wrestling? Not so. So yeah, Brian Kendrick wins. And he wins the X Division Championship,

saving the division. Everybody's celebrating with him. We have what I think is another like, another funny moment where, um, a bus he's on the apron. He's kind of like, blubbering and crying. And in the background, you just see Alc Shelly just be like, okay, move, move. You can go now. You can go now literally like just almost pull out like a knee. On sign to be like, dude, move. Get here. We're not here. Oh, that's what he did. He actually grabs up. He actually grabs a broom and he just starts sweeping him out. Oh, Teddy, I miss that part. I need to go back. So this he goes up the ramp. He's all sad and Ray is just yelling. I'm like, how could you lose? How can you be so stupid? How could you, and then Ray just get shoved down and then Ray's just like, okay, okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's like, of course, of course, Bollyray would be a little bitch when he comes to like, and shove by a bigger dude. Yeah. He says that he could beat up anybody. Come on. This dude can beat James Murray even if he tried.

That's why I always say. As far as the matchup goes, this was a C for me. This was the one match where I thought this match did not feel at all good. I think this was the part where the show kind of stunk a bit where I was like, because okay, in all actuality, if they would have gone this a different way, if they would have had like the exhibition guys, you know, while the referee's down, all like beat down on a bus like everybody hits their finisher or a springboard kind of deal, that would have been cool. It would have been like, it would like been like the entire raw roster beat up the big show for turning on team raw to side of a team Smackdown. They had that deal where like everybody's just beating them down and there's some moments where big shows like, good on here, good on if you go away. Oh, oh, oh, oh, it's getting beat up by everybody and a lot of people are getting their finishers in and there's like one point where Santino tries to get involved, but he just gets punked out because it's Santino. But I mean, my God, you had some great

people. Honestly, I'm just picturing this now. Having like Shark Boy hits like a drummer, we get a generation of me double team move. Maybe amazing red hits is like standing shooting star. We got Eric Young, he can hit an elbow drop, Shelley drop kicks, Douglas Williams, maybe he gets like a good German soup like so you can't do the rolling cast there. He's a black man. He could at least do something. Erie's hit something more hit something, Kaz hit something and Robbie, well, he would play the role of Santino in that spot where a bitch would just punch him and knock him down. He's fist bumping in the background. Cookie gets in there. Cookie gets in there and she gets like one move in on a bus. It's like, wow, Cookie did more than Robbie. He did. Dreamstone pile driver. The freakish strength of cookie, the power of drink. Just imagine she just tombs. Just tombs. So to bits and then she goes, Jersey's in the house bitch. Miss opportunity right there, right there, Missed opportunity. But what were your thoughts on this

matchup? It was fine. I don't know. I like the idea of a bus being the X division champion, being like a non-extivision guy trying to kill the division and then have somebody valiantly trying to fight for the X division. It feels like Brian Kendrick is a little out of place in this position. I feel like you almost could have had like the main event of the show be a bus versus AJ Styles for the exhibition title or something like that. Or even throw like Joe in there or throw Kaz or throw Alex Shell. Brian Kendrick just felt like a random, now be it. I'm watching this in a vacuum and maybe I haven't watched like all the lead-ups. Maybe it would make more sense if I was you know, I had all the context. But yeah, I mean, I like Brian Kendrick as a wrestler. He just isn't a guy that screams X division to me. But that being said, I liked it. It was a lot of Tom Fulery in this match. I would agree. I think the finish that you proposed would have been a lot better with everybody. They're finishers on a bus and then Brian Kendrick hit them like a sliced bread because this victory role situation

seems kind of weak to me. But and again, we've already seen so many roll ups on this show. It's like come on. You can't find anything better than this. But it was fine. I think C's fair. It wasn't terrible, but it was it was just okay. In a moment, it's the X division pay-per-view and it's the X division title match. I think it needs to be more than just okay. Yeah. No, I 100% agree with that. I I could not add on to that. Honestly, the only thing I'm missing here was Curryman coming out and doing a spice rack to this. Curryman could have been. Curryman should have been the guy. Oh my gosh. And then followed up with Christopher Daniels, where did they chase styles? Sorry, did this take off his mask and his pants and that is ready. Oh my gosh. Imagine so they do that. They have Curryman as the X division champion. He goes over to Japan to fight for the fire championship against Cody Deener in a title versus title match. I mean book it. Book it. The way they can go badly. And this is the match where Kenny Omega and Okaada are just like, this is the match we have to top. It was all born at that moment. Before there was Kenny Omega

versus Okaada. Before there was Hiroshi Tana Hashie. Before there was Naito. There was Curryman and Cody Deener. We have the man for the rising sun who is very pale for some reason and some big old red neck that ODB just picked out of a contest. That's Japanese wrestling to me man. That's that's the strongest style. That's the stronger style that get her done. Exactly. So speaking of the main event, we're finally here is the main event between Christopher Daniels and AJ styles. So all right. This is where they miss. They miss such a huge moment here. So how this match came about is that AJ styles. He comes out and he says, so I hear the TNA is creating this all exhibition pay-per-view called destination X. Well you know what? I think it's time for one night only for me to get back in the exhibition. And then Samoa Joe comes out and it's almost like, okay, we might get Samoa Joe versus AJ styles. But then Christopher Daniels comes

out and he is saying like, let's give these people the matchup that they want to see and everybody's kind of getting excited. Okay, okay, this would be good. This would be fun. They think they know what's happening. And Christopher Daniels goes like, AJ styles versus Christopher Daniels one-on-one. And the crowd like deflated like, wait, what? You got what? And they're actually, I've watched this segment. And as they were kind of doing like the motions of being like, oh yeah, yeah, we'll do the matchup. Samoa Joe's literally in the background looking like the biggest jibrone literally be like, I'm right here. I was a part of this too. And there were fans even chanting during that time saying, triple threat, triple threat, triple threat. I was like, you have the opportunity to do this match again, a third time on pay-per-view. Okay, it's more like the fifth time they were done on pay-per-view. But they sporacally did it. It's fine. And also every time they did

it, it was awesome. First time they did was a match of the year candidate. Second time was still really good. Third time they added ultimate X. Still really fun. Third, fourth time they had the world title in it. Oh my gosh. This was, this is amazing. And then you could go for the trifect, the final chapter maybe of these guys, final time at destination X, the main event. Oh my gosh, this would have been great. But they're like, no, we want to do one-on-one. I think even still people were just like, what? No, Samoa Joe. And that's kind of where Samoa Joe was just like, I was a part of the exhibition too. I'm getting met. I'm going to beat up Kaz. And we're going to have a match of destination X to where I was like, oh cool. So you got like basically the booby prize. So was there, was there like a storyline reason why Joe wasn't in here as a triple threat? I don't know. That's the thing. This was one of the weirdest things where I think they wanted it just to be one-on-one because Daniels and AJ were like the embodiment of the early exhibition days. But it was just one of those things where I was like, you want to get fans excited.

You want to make this like a sell-out deal. You put Joe in the main event. You got to. Sure, he's going to lose. But at the same time, you could even make it better. You could have had like, maybe Daniels wins this. And he's getting that ego. I was like, oh yeah, I won the main event. And I beat Samoa Joe and AJ Styles. AJ could be like, you actually didn't beat me though, because you only pinned Joe. I mean, there's a good story that comes right out of there. Joe is still going to be a raving lunatic. And again, you could have had Kaz put into the ultimate X matchup to make it a little bit better. Or tell, maybe Kaz is the one that fills in the spot of Brian Kendrick. He gets, he was one who, yeah, lost the title, but he could have been the one that wins it back. That's not bad, yeah. There's story right there. Yeah, I'm actually kind of stuck on your your comment made of like, Brian Kendrick does not fit in the exhibition honestly. It's like, you're kind of right actually, because even the story build up into it. He still feels out of place. He's just kind of like, we got no one. Brian Kendrick, because he's like, how long has

Kendrick been in a 10 TNA at this point? Can't be that long. I stopped in that long, honestly. I think it was like less than a year, honestly. Like he's not a guy that's synonymous with the exhibition. There's like five or six guys on this card that are more than him. Yeah, it was really weird. Yeah, it just blows my mind. Wow. I've been running another historic deal where we're Kyle, not only we brought the meaty clap, but now you've made you may be lost for words. The meaty clap. There's a there's a cream for that, by the way. Fair enough. All right, let's go into this main event. So nice back and forth between these guys, fans are just completely split between these two. They're just kind of like, let's go AJ, let's go, dead, fall in angel. So that was kind of really cool that they're just like, yeah, these guys are good, but they're kind of doing like Matt wrestling and such like that. And I was just kind of like, okay, starting off with it. Okay, it's good. It's good. And it kind of goes more. It goes longer.

And it goes longer. And it goes longer. And I'm just just kind of like, what's happening here? Why are we going into this? Not a very exhibition type of match. No, that I was literally thrown off by that. I was just kind of like, chin rest locks. Wait, well, what? This is not this is not the AJ and Daniels of old that I remember. This is what? We do get a styles class attempt by Christopher Daniels, which I thought that was kind of funny. I was like, Oh, he's trying to beat him with his okay. I think AJ tried the angels wings at some point too. Oh, that's right. Yeah. Yeah. Angels gets out of it. But he and when he gets out of that styles of clash attempt, he eats not one, but two dives by Daniels on the outside. But then Daniels, he eats a dive himself before fighting back and hitting a death Valley driver. I love a Daniels death Valley driver. It always looks good. Very good. AJ styles. He goes for a phenomenal forum, but he eats nothing but canvas. Oh, that, that did not taste good. But he's able to fight back with his suplex neck breaker.

I always love that move. It's just great. Daniels does his Koji clutch, which my god, dude, just yes, continue that. He gets, he gets AJ on the top rope and he does his like weird, like sit out kind of style slam. I never known what to call that move. It's just well as things where it's like you put them on the turnbuckle turns around. He throws them down. That's about it. It's basically like it's not the Ric Flair deal. It's definitely a lot cooler. We get the AJ styles. Spring reverse DDT. Always love that. Daniels does a Alabama slam counter of sorts. I guess he gets an STO. He goes for the best moonsault ever. Or now it's known as the pretty moonsault ever because since Daniels has retired. Go goes for the moonsault, but AJ styles gets his foot up styles styles clash. Not enough. He goes for springboard 450. That gets countered. Daniels hits the angels wings. Awesome. AJ, he counters a superplex attempt. And we see for the first time in

quite a while the AJ styles spiral tab. Damn. Hits that one, two, three AJ styles wins the matchup. Both men shake hands. They show a shine of respect. AJ styles wins this matchup as Daniels kind of looks on like, okay. So maybe something brewing. I was very disappointed with this matchup. I think that the start of a kind of took me for a loop. And as time went on, it was like, okay, we're starting to get the motions. We're starting to get there. Okay, it's starting to get there. And it just started getting good. And then when the spiral tab happened, it kind of was like, that's it. It's done. I mean, spiral tap is a protective move. I get that. But it feels like they could have done more. And this matchup was about 25 minutes. So I'm like, how long was it with these like rest holds and stuff like that? That's insane. Yeah, I give it a be it's still a good match. But the start of it is just very long winded. It definitely does not feel like an exhibition matchup like Kyle said.

Yeah, it was it felt like I mean, these are two two of the best to ever do it. And obviously, they've had their series of matches in O5 and a few other ones. And yeah, it just felt very paint by numbers generic. I feel like this whole show, the whole emphasis has been on the it's the wrestling. It's just the wrestling. We're pretty light on the story, but heavy on the wrestling. And that's kind of I guess that was the idea here. I mean, just two friends have enough friendly matchup and there's not really much else to it. So I feel like there wasn't a lot of heat to it. I don't think there was a lot of emotional investment in this match. It was like mechanically a fine match, but there wasn't a lot to dig into beyond that. Just it was kind of they're playing the hits. You know, we're not really seeing any spots that we haven't seen in previous matches between these guys. And AJ wins like he always does. I feel like Daniels definitely a Daniels win would have been enough to be like, Oh, okay, that's that feels fresh. That feels different. Let's see where this goes, but AJ just wins and whatever. So yeah, weird. It was kind of a

I don't know, it's like climactic way to finish, but a mediocre Daniels AJ match is still better than a lot of matches. So I can't complain too much off the OB-minus C plus at this. It was fine. So overall, folks, I actually gave the show an ape regardless of how I felt about a lot of the certain matches in here were like I mentioned, the exhibition title matchup felt it was kind of lacking. The main event just to definitely felt like it was off. It's still a really good show, honestly. It is kind of a very, yeah, honestly, that's where you're putting it. It's very paced. It's very, it definitely feels like the it definitely feels like classic TNA, especially bringing back the six side ring. It just feels right. It just feels like a good show that you can definitely go back and enjoy. Like I said, matches that were really good were definitely the four-way matchup and Rob Bandam and Jury Lynn. Those guys backed back just really killing it. Yeah, yeah, there's a little bit of variety on this match. You got your Old Man X, you got your

blood, you got your chairs, you got your chain wrestling. So all in all, an easy watch, especially in this era of Hogan and Bishoff where it's a lot of just hullabaloo and shenanigans and tomfooled or reeds refreshing just to get a straight up rassling pay-per-view. So overall, I was glad to go back and check this out. There was some good stuff on this one. Very true. All right. So we're going to wrap this up, ladies and gentlemen. But before we do that, one of the things I like to do is see what the competition is doing at this time. And Kyle, I had forgotten about this. This is the time where WWE put on money in the bank in 2011. So yeah, yeah, so tough. So ladies and gentlemen, with all the car that we had here, let's quickly go through the car that we had for money in the bank. Shall we? In a dark match, we have Santino and Vladimir Kuzlov defeating the new Nexus and David O'Tonga and Michael McGillicuddy. Probably the only match up there that people are like, why are we watching this? Then we had the Smackdown money in the bank ladder match up for the world title,

which was won by Daniel Bryan, Bryan Danielson, who defeated Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, heaths later, Justin Gabriel, Kane, Classic Sin Cara and Shamus. We had for the Divas championship, Kelly Kelly, who was the champion retaining over Brebella. I had actually forgotten that Kelly Kelly was a champion at one point that. So nice, you got to say it twice. Indeed. Mark Henry dominating and beating the big show to start his Hall of Pain. Awesome stuff. Okay, that might have been good. They had good chemistry to go. Yeah. We had the raw money in the bank ladder match for the WWE title in which we had Noble prick, Alberto Del Rio defeating Rey Mysterio, Alex Riley, Evan Bord, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, The Miz and our truth. Man, so much possibility right there. For the World Heavyweight Championship, Christian defeated Randy Orton via disqualification because he decided to spit in Orton's face. Orton

kicked him in the balls and referee was like, you know what, that's too much kick and ass Orton. Therefore, Christian, here's the belt for you. They love it. DQ finished it, didn't they? They did the DQ finish where literally he was like, okay, we're doing an NWA style, which Christian won the title and quote unquote the lamest way, but honestly, with the way that he was, it felt like the only way. But people don't talk about that as much as they talk about the main event, which was one by CM Punk defeating John Cena for the WWE Championship and blowing that sweet old kiss to the Vince McMahon saying, goodbye, I'm out for about nine days. Hell of a show. Hell of a card. Yeah, that was, that was, that was, that was hard to top. So WWE definitely won that one. There's some, some shows where I'm just kind of like, I think T&A had the better shot in here, but it was, it was, it was on money in the big 2011. I'm like, no, you don't have a shot in the world. I'm sorry, Destination X was a good show, but money in the bank,

they knew what they were doing. Yeah, most months T&A might have the edge, but yeah, not, not this one. So all right. So this has been the brace for impact podcast in cooperation with the apron bump podcast. Thank you Kyle so much for joining me here on this amazing deal. Sorry for some of the technical difficulties that we got, but we managed to get to work. Everything is awesome. Everything's cool when you're part of the team. My friend, I love so much of your content. I love the fact that you not only do your podcast, but you also do some what if scenarios on the YouTube deal. Could you talk a little bit more about where you get your inspiration for some of these what if ideas as well as plug away all of your stuff, my good, sir. Well, first of all, Nathan, appreciate you having me. I think this is my first time on the brace for impact podcast. From Amber Crackle. I do believe that you're right. That's about goddamn time. It's been a blast. It's always a fun time having you in my show. Fun to come on here to talk some more T&A. But yes, I at the apron bump podcast for those out there

who need more retro wrestling content. I got it for you from whether it's T&A, Ring of Honor, Monday Night Wars, Rituals Aggression, Progress Wrestling, all of it. You can go check it out wherever you listen to podcasts or on YouTube. But yes, I also do these what if scenario videos where I basically will take what if the WWE champion face the WCW champion every summer slam and then we kind of go through the matchups and talk about them and provide commentary and what ifs and how the matches would go and what not. It's a lot of fun. I recently dropped a feast or fired version where it's if every T&A feast or fired winner challenged the WWE counterpart champion instead of the T&A champion. So poses for some very fun matchups there. So yeah, as far as my inspiration, just kind of whatever comes to mind, I've kind of tried to make it a little topical. So we'll probably chop in and money in the bank related one here soon. But yeah,

there's endless possibilities. I enjoy doing them. I'll probably start doing them a little bit more here soon. But yeah, I appreciate the shout out. It's always a pleasure hearing that people enjoy it. And yeah, I enjoy doing it. Oh, I always love it. I'll give you guys kind of like a preview. The first thing that pops up in this what if scenario with Feast or fired and championship counterparts is like the first one that he popped up was an idea and a dream match I want. I know I really want is the idea of Samoa Joe versus Deandre Takea. Oh, come on now. Like 2010, I think it was that would have been now to be something. I honestly take her with just beginning close to that peak of his career. And Samoa Joe was, he's always been good. So it's literally just like you got Undertaker getting to his peak. Samoa Joe probably honestly still at his peak. Just yeah, just yes, just just more of that. Honestly, just more more more more more more more more more more more more more. I just want

I just really because they'll make it happen. They're both still around. I mean, honestly, just don't have Undertaker do any kind of like crazy stuff. And yeah, bone yard match style. Let's do a cinematic. Oh, there we go. Go and take her. I'm fine. Bone yard part two. Bone yard match part two or some people like call it the boner yard match. Okay. Sure. And then you have Christopher Daniels face some of the year after. Then you could just do all the material of the guys. Oh my gosh. How do you bury unbreakable 2005? Well, you have AJ lose here. We have Joe lose here. And then Daniels lose here slowly, but surely, surely, but surely Undertaker will bury all the things that you know and love. Okay. Now, no, he doesn't do that. He's doing he's doing great with AAA shout out to take her. He's not bearing anybody. No, no, no. Thank you guys so much for listening into the brace for impact podcast found on rest like radio with the Kings the Rings podcast, the young lion's perspective and the frets of media podcast. Sure, check us out on social media at at

underscore wrestle on most social media platforms. And honestly, guys, I pitched an idea for rest like radio for a future possible new program that we put on here. So be on the lookout for that. We'll see how that goes. But until then for Kyle from the apron podcast, I've been going to donate the great from the brace for impact podcast reminding you that you can make a difference and to remain an impact player. Thank you guys so much. And let's have ourselves for good there. Oh, oh, I hate it.
