Nl: De wind gierde over de uitgestrekte, witte vlakte van de Arctische toendra.
En: The wind howled over the vast, white expanse of the Arctische tundra.
Nl: Het was lente, maar de kou was nog steeds scherp.
En: It was spring, but the cold was still sharp.
Nl: Lars, met zijn onderzoeksmateriaal stevig vastgebonden, keek uit over de horizon.
En: Lars, with his research materials securely fastened, looked out over the horizon.
Nl: Vandaag was een belangrijke dag voor zijn onderzoek naar klimaatverandering.
En: Today was an important day for his climate change research.
Nl: Aan de andere kant van het basiskamp stond Sanne, haar camera paraat.
En: On the other side of the base camp stood Sanne, camera at the ready.
Nl: Ze wilde de schoonheid van het wilde landschap vastleggen.
En: She wanted to capture the beauty of the wild landscape.
Nl: Haar foto's moesten spreken voor de majesteit en kwetsbaarheid van de toendra.
En: Her photographs had to speak for the majesty and vulnerability of the tundra.
