Candle’s Offense Takes Center Stage | Hartford News

Jason Candle is bringing his offensive expertise to UConn, calling plays while letting Ryan Manalac handle defense. He’s stocked the roster with talent like explosive running back Kenji Christian and a deep, fast receiving corps, all aimed at dominating through the air and ground. With a mix of returning linemen and transfers, the offense is primed for big plays — even as the QB battle rages on. Candle knows real growth comes in games, not practices, stressing relentless communication and effort. The season kicks off against FCS foe Lafayette, where building chemistry and executing the game plan could set the tone for a breakout year.
