I'm trying to be what's up Yeah, so you got some new shirts lately. I mean, I feel like you've got a lot of new little new one Collard things that are tight fit and missing buttons and all kind of style. I was just telling wardrobe Yeah, this is like the 80s open V neck Well, it's like you got to have a game to the gang and I guess I'm gonna go up to the neck You got to go I got to show my chis I was just tell some people I was like since I do the show with Sims now almost every day I wear a collared shirt to work almost every day. Yeah, I used to not sometimes a t-shirt You know, I'll bring the jackets back, but you dress very sharp. So now I'm not gonna dress as sharp But I also can't be a bum. Okay I'm gonna go in the middle ground. Well, I guess your old show with Barry It was more relaxed you guys were drinking in the morning apparently Yeah, so you could wear just t-shirts and cool things I can roll out of bed and walk in the show. Hey, you can do that though. There's no there's no dress code All right, that's true. I dress like this out of necessity. I dress like this out of I don't want to complicate my brain

And especially when I'm up at 5 30 in the morning. Oh, it's like what am I gonna wear it easier? It is easier So it's just like oh, okay, here's my button downs. What color pants am I wearing? I'm probably gonna wear the same colored shirt on top of that and move on from there It's what a lot of like the smartest people in the world do. Oh, well, you're closet is like many have been saying I'm in that group. Yeah, so we are now joining the elite. It's one of the elite employees Man, it's this show today is it's up there with maybe some of our like most hyped up because Brian Flores is joining the show And watching that Vikings defense man. It's gonna be a really good time to talk to him No question the X's in O's files the stuff that you're pulling out from the tape Yeah, we got a recap of Monday night game that I think we were very wrong about which is kind of exciting It's awesome. I like when things don't go the way you're expecting. I hear you there all the way I mean that was like that was unreal in so many ways to watch that game last night new chiefs the new chiefs Which we all expected We've been talking about it here for the last month five. They've embraced you called it

I believe a couple months. You're like this is kind of my home's era V2 I think so I think it's still there, but yeah, defense is different Kenneth Walker got a big contract and they wanted to show that off they wanted to show that off We have talked about the chiefs really for all last year They need to reinvent themselves on the offensive start of the ball But all that was talk so you were just like I don't know are they really gonna do it Are they gonna get in the game and go I meant it? I'm Andy Reed and I'm a homes and we're so just gonna get in the shot Gonna throw it I kind of had to see it to believe it and then I think on top of that when you talk about Play to your strengths and what you are as a football team The receivers are good, but I don't think we're all like right in home about oh gosh They're special no the strength of their team right now Especially with a quarterback coming off an ACL injury nine months to the day yesterday Is that their old line especially when Josh Simmons is in there you go Whoa, that can be one of the better old lines in football and then like you said with Kenneth Walker on top of that the perfect thing Also to go along with the defense that we know has some new parts on that side of the ball and some young guys trying to

Contribute and an experience guys trying to contribute so what a better way to do that right there But it was amazing nonetheless. I mean the first drive of the game It was like okay, they're gonna run the ball and then it was like whoa like they're not even gonna pretend to throw the ball And like whoa they're not even gonna have freaking receivers on the field for some of these plays and they're just gonna go We are running the ball try to stop us so that was amazing to see one because I didn't believe Andy Reed could really do that to it's the first time in the Mahomes era Which we've talked about a little like last week and the week before but he's never had a thousand yard rushers Never had a thousand yard receiver so to see them play this different style and Just let their guys fire off the ball and especially that interior part you know their interior part You look at Creed Humphrey. We know he's one of the best centers in the game. You know Smith Trace Smith at right guard is definitely one of the best guards in the game and I think Moving Kingsley Sue of a tee at a left guard that fits him more than tackle where they had tried him out

And I think he's gonna thrive right there and we saw I felt like a lot of big runs right up the middle by Kenneth Walker behind those big bastards there Yeah, they were really Consistent with running up the middle like you said it wasn't they weren't trying to hide it kind of put a bow on week one of the NFL That the teams that dominated played that way when you look at the dominant performances for the most part now You think a Chicago having the 200 yard rushers and I know we're gonna get into Chicago to know but yeah You think of the giants on Sunday night but right? Yeah, Jets did this to Tennessee exactly right? It seems that came out and a handful of them weren't very good last year when you think of the Jets and the Giants and then the Chiefs weren't very good last year No, they came out and said we're not only gonna run the ball But like you just said Chris they're not trying to even shy away from it They're coming out these heavy personnel packages and saying we're just gonna be bigger and tougher than you and show us You can stop it before we have to do anything else. It's the new age NFL. It really is that's what it is Which is the old age NFL which is the old age NFL then we got into the the spread and shotgun and all that Which you know it was really cool. I get it but at the same time, you know, I don't love the spread you know that I

Think this is we've seen the Niners and of course the Lions and the team in the Super Bowl last year running the Niners offense with Concubi Akk and the Seahawks We saw the Patriots and the way they played they've been that You know the Eagles have been a run first football team even though it's been through the spread way So yeah, I do love this and I think yes, that's the trend we're in right now We know big people are in Fad right now not only in the NFL, but we're seeing it in college. I like in Fad Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we see that like hey Miami and Indiana were in the National Championship game last year They were run first football teams now Indiana did it out of the shotgun and You know Miami was a little bit more underneath center and out of the shotgun doing it that way But I think you're seeing teams want to do that control the line of scrimmage get attitude and of course It leads to the big plays down the football field and I still think there's a number of teams and defenses That don't have great experience handling the big personnel set. It's been hey

It's been spread. It's just hey. I look for the one run play they have I make sure the quarterback doesn't keep the ball off the edge and oh, yeah They're gonna throw a screen over here the receiver every other every fourth play and I just got a run and I said to you last week Like the phrase a lot of people in the NFL do is go it's punt coverage defense and in college football or when you're playing the spread now It's like whoa wait. It's an inside trap. There's a pulling guard wait. There's an extra guy pulling into my into my hole I was responsible for this gap, but there's two gaps in my gap now Which gap do I take and I think those things Offences and offensive coordinators have realized through Shanahan Ben Johnson Sean McVeigh staying with the running game and doing all that that it's a great element Not only just good for stopping the pass rush But giving your team attitude and of course creating those big play action passes that we know about so the chief speed The Broncos 31 to 10 they definitely came out and fed off the energy of the crowd It was loud from the very instant and I like out louder after meant so the lane had the interception Can't be by him awesome play from him

Which is what you want to see when you invest that kind of pick in a corner Career highs for Kenneth Walker with 173 rushing yards and 191 scrimmage yards That's both the most by any running back in a Patrick Mahomes start that it's insane You know that's again, my homes is not normal yet. We saw that last night. It's good. It was great that he ran Yeah, he's still gritty though. He's still gritty. He wants to play. Yeah, he wanted to show I would I can run I can run and that I thought that was like you know That was the moment where I feel like he felt relief. It was like oh Okay, wait, I can do these things. I'm not gonna get hurt You know you're back in the flow and I've been there with that With injuries you that first time out there There's a lot of anxiousness and am I gonna be the same and can I make this work? And if I get hit am I gonna hold up the right way? So I think you break a lot of ice when when you get you get a play like that That was awesome to see you talked about the Kenneth Walker thing the run game what they did there too I mean One was he unbelievably good and he's been unbelievably good up in Seattle

I think people just realized it last year because they were a playoff team and they were the Super Bowl and everybody saw that I know the year before he was injured But the year before that he was 900 yards rushing the year before that as a rookie He was a thousand yard russure and those weren't good offensive lines in Seattle until last year But you see the talent he has and that's why he got paid what he did is because He's what we talk about all the time he can score from anywhere any place and then how awesome were some of the short Yardage runs where you go Nothing's there and he kind of does the old levy on bell and just kind of wait nothing's there I'm gonna be patients just stay on your box everybody stay on your box. Oh, there's a whole boom Let me get in there. Let me hop to the right hop to the left. Oh, there was nothing there But I got four or five yards. I mean that to me is the incredible experience That's because he's had a lot of attempts running the football and then of course he's super talented and knows like Hey, I'm athletic enough and exposed enough to go down to second gear And then I'll punch it and get the fourth and fifth gear when I have to when I see the opening happen

And he's got a great feel that way you really got to see a little bit of everything from him because you're talking about some of those up the middle runs Yes, the middle left which is really just the a gap ones to the left He had eight carries for that for 57 yards. That's over seven seven point one yards per carry So yeah, he was really really cooking on that the long touchdown run looked like it was supposed to go up the middle But then he bounced it out to the left so they classify that as an outside run I would think so even if it was technically designed as an up-to-the-middle run But it wasn't there so he had to get outside right so it's it's funny when you I did a little math this morning Pete likes to I'm kind of like Pete's chat GPT now. Yeah, I can see that really like 30 minutes to show time And I'm doing math on all of the inside and outside numbers So this is the way I had it the chiefs on outside runs which does count the bouncing so it's kind of hard enough It's that's all right yet over 11 yards per carry on outside runs. Obviously there's some yeah influenced by the bigger run But on inside runs which they had a higher volume of so something that was just trying to like chip away Still average over 4.5. Yeah, you got to be patient. That to me was the amazing thing

That's some of these teams we're going to talk about today patients with the run game You can't just go oh we ran a play we didn't break it for a big one I got to throw it three or four more times now. Now the good ones realize It's about the accumulation of runs at one after another and the slowly wearing down of a defense And within giving different looks making them feel like wait where's the run going what's going to happen there now You know last night what they did was bud whooping time and disappointing by the Denver Broncos defense as we know But it's something we we kind of talked about last year I wish we would have said this yesterday when we kind of talked about the game real quick the one thing About the Broncos because there's not many weaknesses on their defense But the one thing you can look at is to go their defense align their defense align not that it's weak But it's not real big. It's not a big group. It's not the run stuffing Like I'm going to take two people on you can't move me in my gap. All right. I mean

We know DJ Jones. He's a smaller guy six one three oh five Zach Allen is what I'm going to guess a little over there's two eighty five They haven't listed out. He's probably two ninety two ninety five now but still but still it for NFL and what we know when a lot of good defenses You know Leonard Williams for the for the sea hawks is 320 like the easterity forever. Byron Murphy is three 25 right you know this So that's what you can't you got to remember that Uh and and to me that is one thing we can look at I think with this Denver defense to go Hmm, you know, there's a lot of good they got everything you need but do they have the big run stopping DJ reader type or somebody like that dexter Lawrence that can make a mosh pit inside in the interior run game And I think that's something we'll probably question here and now that the chiefs did it to them Everybody's going to try their luck at it and to you know when you started to say oh some of those runs went outside Well, I think they at first they got beat up the middle and they were in

And putting so many people inside the box and doing it he was great at okay wait. I'll try the middle. Oh, there's nothing there Oh, you're all smashed in there. Let me bounce out and make a play that way And that's where his great experience and feel for the game came in handy for kind of Walker And one of the more unique guys that they don't have anymore now John Franklin Myers is a two hundred ninety pound defensive That could have made them bigger. You're right so you'll play him at the end with those two guys and you go we got three detacles on the field That's a great point by you. There's no doubt they're going to miss that aspect And he was awesome for Denver in the two years he was there He's now with Robert Salah and the Titans and got paid as he deserved to get paid But it's one of those things that you keep an eye on with really good teams when you move on from a player like that because of the money Yes, and we saw it kind of come to for it's just one game But it was it was really tough for Denver and you're right teams are going to challenge them in that way now It's an interesting comment from her non-Fivella said was I the only one getting living on bell flashbacks yesterday with Kenneth Walker that bounce That's what I was just saying that was that was levy on bell exactly right and those short yarded situations

He was phenomenal that way, you know at too many times I think in the NFL and this is where the great ones have a field When do you step on it and when do I wait to let the play develop and so many times where it's short yardage especially Uh, you get on hey hit the whole hard hit the whole hard get up in there You know and yeah, you do that But then the guy runs into their guards butt and whatever else and you're like oh, he only got a few feet So this was like a master class and the chief so lineman staying on box and then yes him going hold on They're on the box. I don't need to make anything. I don't have to do anything drastic Let me just see kind of what opens up and I think that's the spot on our reservation I thought the same thing I said at the flu or earlier and I said it here just a second ago It did remind me of that except Kenneth Walker when he does see an open hole He can really hit it and then of course he has speed that levy on belt is not hat And that's why we'd like Kenneth Walker because he's a guy that can score from anywhere anytime

And that's what makes him a special running back another thing in fat in the NFL right now Yeah, you're funny Playing under center. Yes another theme of the weekend come on this is from sumer sports They said Kansas City had the fourth biggest jump in plays under center rate the three teams ahead of them All have new offensive coordinators. Yeah, obviously Kubiak is now the head coach of the Raiders the Jets brought in Frank Reich and Geno Smith because last year they couldn't do anything under center And obviously the giant staff which we talked about it's not just Nagy they have Greg Roman there as well So this is kind of a little bit and you know, what's the coincidence by the way with the the first six teams on this list Chris Yeah, they all won pretty damn good exactly. They all look damn good the Ravens were underneath center more I think it's another one where it won the play action pass we know that That the other thing that we've talked about for years is just It's hard to be a running back and always get the ball to shotgun. Oh my first step is to the right of the left instead of coming downhill

and and and you know being able to build up some steam and then also Coming downhill when you're seven eight yards behind the quarterback The thing that gets missed when you're in the shotgun compared to when you're In the eye formation deep behind the quarterback is cut back lanes You know when you're in the shotgun just picture it like if you're the quarterback and I'm I'm the running back Okay, you say set hug and I'm kind of going this way already and you're already Four to five yards from the line of scrimmage because you're in the shotgun. You're not eight or nine yards back You're kind of like oh already momentum's that way and because you're so close to the line of scrimmage in your offensive line It's hard to see the development of sometimes the backside cut if you're if I'm back there and behind you Now I'm coming downhill. I'm getting the ball at like six or seven yards And I'm getting to see reaction of the linebackers more of like wait Are they really coming down hillhard or they really So you know scraping over the top because they saw my backside guard pull. Oh wait that backside linebackers really fine over there

Oh, I was taught all week when I got the ball and if I see him fine over there make the cut back there And I think that's the other aspect that it brings to it But yeah, this is again, we know a fat league in vogue league And I just think that between Ben Johnson and the Lions Shanahan the 49ers McVeigh and the Rams Everybody is realized this is the way to go and then you have teams on top of that like we saw the two teams in the super bowl last year We're new England certainly will get under any center. They always have and we know that like you just said Seattle with concubiac who now with the Raiders are doing the same thing and on top of that's your point about Just the momentum they get and everything a lot of the backs not all but a lot of the backs in these offenses are very short And load of the ground which makes it even harder you think of Blake Korm on the Rams right calum black now on the nine hours. Yeah, it's walkers five nine. I know he's yeah 30 pounds muscle and a 10 pounds sack if you saw him in person you go, wait He's not as big as I thought he was no doubt So when you watch the end zone all 22 and they're behind these six foot eight monsters on the offensive line

Imagine being a linebacker like With the depth and I can't see them and he's got that gear. It's it's really hard right now He's got and the quarterback having his back to you and going wait did he give him the ball or did he keep it and run the Pay action and I think all those things and then if you could dress it up all in the process of that And we're going to talk about some of this stuff when we get into our X's and os files Conspiracy or not conspiracy and we're going to look at that because Not only is it attitude and running down hill and all of that but you've got to have Creativity and make the defense think of some different things, but that was amazing last night now the big thing is Can they consistently do this not going to catch anybody by surprise next week? Can they consistently do this? Eric B. Enemy being with Ben Johnson last year. This is why we thought this might happen Especially with the injury to my homes and all that. It's so cool to see it now We want more from the passing game. That's something else. We're going to have to see as we go forward here and and we have that

But yeah, I'm interested to see what they build off of this what's the next wrinkle? You're going to have off of the run game and where does the offense go from here? And then can they continue to run this way? I mean, this is odd. We've never seen Andy read I've never seen an Andy read game like that ever like ever in my life So that was that was pretty cool to see and of course after the game Patrick Maholins was asked not only about the significance of the win But the new look run heavy chiefs That's a good football team. I mean they were in there to championship for a reason I may have a lot of great great players and their coach very well And so for us to go out there and win like that obviously that's that's the first step It shows that all that work and training camp is it paid off But how can we be better? I mean like we were just talking about like I got to be better in the past game If we're going to run the ball like this defense is going to come up and try to force us to pass it And I have to be able to showcase that we can do that and so That'll come and that's why we're just in the very beginning of the season and we had a great game But how are we going to build on it and how are we going to get better? All right, so that was Maholins. I mean yeah, listen

They're not showing away from it the good thing about my homes too is he's the last guy that would ever be like God, we're really going to be this run first like watches numbers kind of thing Just every little thing is about winning and for the better of the team That's how it makes it even easier to lean into that yeah And then hopefully this is just a good first step for him to get comfortable Uh, you know, we've talked about they're receiving their receivers and their passing game or something I'm certainly going to be watching closely over this year You know, I'm not sold. They're the greatest group in the world. You know that So to see that and then to see what he's capable of he moved better than I thought that that's the first thing I'll say I mean when he first few times he moved other be careful don't do anything protect yourself Right, I really was like that I was like, yeah, gosh damn. I don't want to see you go down a week one I definitely don't want that um, but yeah, could do what did I feel like he was Totally himself in the pocket throwing the football. No, not not exactly Band of five in the chats at Chris how concerned were you with how he looked throwing?

Yeah, I mean his throwing was was just good. It wasn't great. Yeah, there was nothing special there But I'm not going to judge it too harshly again. It's week one the Raiders whip the shit out of the Patriots last year in week one Let's not forget that it's a winner. And the Raiders sucked last year and the Patriots were in the Super Bowl So they kept it conservative here I think they knew here would be my spidey senses inkling It was very odd that last week during the preparation of the game Andy Reed wasn't just like yeah, he's starting it's still go. He's like it's trending that way It was a little bit of like coded words like yeah, he's barely gonna make it So I think this was a effort of we're gonna run the ball We're gonna get the cobwebs off our guy get his psyche in the positive spot Let's not let him hold the ball too long so he has to worry about people falling around his legs And that's where I don't want to judge it too harshly Certainly he's not hitting them all cylinders like we know the Patrick Mahomes can but you know the throwing itself He still got poppin his arm and he's still got the most flexible

You know gum be arm I've ever seen in my life Mahomes is the only quarterback in week one did not complete a pass of 10 plus yards down the field but pretty amazing It didn't matter yeah for the chiefs and like you said Chris he's working his way back little by little So the chiefs are really good in this game But how big of it was the Broncos defense being bad this from next gen stats They missed 28 tackles against the chiefs they allowed 247 yards After those missed tackles the most yards allowed by any defense in a game since at least 2018 by that metric The Broncos had eight different defenders miss multiple tackles on the night That you know that was the shocker of the game and they played precision they play that's why I just I'm done with the What do we do I will not say it anymore that the defenses have the advantage over the all fences not after I just saw this Pass weekend where we tied the all-time record for week one points that's not happening But I to me one thing you've always seen with a Sean Peyton team with the Saints of the Broncos it's physical

It's renegade-ish they throw their body around they were bullied last night They were bullied and it felt like they kind of wilted away as the game went on and that's what was surprising So it was underwhelming defense by a unit we know that It's special it's without a doubt one of the three best defenses in the game last year It's crazy that we're in week one two of the three best defenses last year got torn apart them in the Houston Texans Seattle certainly showed up against New England. We know that but but yeah that was shocking and then to me Listen the biggest theme that's going to come out of this game other than Mahomes and the running of the chiefs is the Sean Peyton Davis Web Play calling thing That's gonna they have to watch out because if they have another lackluster performance in the offensive side of the ball That's all anybody's gonna talk about wait one of the greatest play colors in the history of the sport Who brought the team to the AFC championship game last year? He's not calling the plays this year when they're supposed to go to the Super Bowl and being the the most window open year ever Right since maybe his prime in New Orleans Saints

That is crazy and then when I think when you look at it bow nicks never look comfortable The course they didn't run the ball enough in the first half I know it's spags in Kansas City and that's tough I'm certainly not trying to disrespect that angle But at the same time too. I'll tell you that I didn't come away from the game I can watch some games and go yeah, there stats weren't that good But there was some things there that I kind of like the way the offense looked and how they put plays together I'm not so sure I felt that way last night. Oh, I'm not sure what I was being trying to be accomplished really and Yeah, I think that Sean Peyton conversation could overtake their team a little bit there Well, people are already talking about it and homie two cents in the chat said hey fellas thoughts on Davis webs play calling The offense was awful. I can't tell how much is bow nicks or web Troy Ackman seems pretty critical of the play calling during the I think it's fair. I was the same thing like you know one. Yeah, it's first game on the road You know, we didn't we didn't run the ball and try to take the crowd out or do anything like that Bow nicks makes a horrible interception to start the game

But again, it to me. It's like yeah, it's the look of it. It's the oh they ran this play Oh, then they ran a play that kind of similar but who but it had a little different wrinkle doing it Oh, they have a playoff of that too. Oh, okay. I see what they're trying to do. Oh, hey You know, man, I like that route combination. It was open. Oh, he didn't get protected So okay. Yeah, it wasn't time to hit it like there was none of that positive It was like when they showed a replay it was like Kansas City, Newark, they were throwing the ball. They were kind of all over everything besides the ingram touched like after the ingram touch drive That was it. That was it exactly right and I do think bow nicks Not that I you know one he looked a little fostered and it felt like he had a little bit of the like What's going on out here tonight? We can't get in any rhythm. I can't get anything going like it It just it felt like they were a little bit deer in the headlights last night. Yeah, it certainly did All right, well two more things here. We'll keep addressing the chat. Yuri psycho said Sims overhyped the Broncos for no reason last season they had horrible offense three out of four quarters every almost every game And their defense wasn't as impressive against good offenses. Well, listen

I understand that you know, but but I also play in the angle of like You know, it's it's another year in the offense and it's a quarterback That was a second year guy that now's a third year guy and yeah I expected it to go upward. So I mean people at same p and Like the same things are being said about Chicago and what do they do the other day? And I don't know what's telling me about hey overhyped Chicago He picked them to win the division what happened? You know last year they moved the ball was only the fourth quarter So yeah, you know some of them might what do we do is projection based their defense is damn good They were damn good. So you know, yeah, they wilted away or didn't play their best against Josh Allen One of the greatest quarterbacks we've ever seen. Yeah, he moved the ball And then we know that Jacksonville late in the year moved the ball in them as well But but uh, yeah, I will see I might be wrong But I I still believe in Denver and I'm not giving up on after week one again week one is crazy We know that in the NFL. Yeah, I thought it was definitely more of a statement from the chiefs as disjointed as the Broncos looked

And the beauty of this is it's just one week in the NFL. Yeah, well the two teams at at least I annoying it And I think there's you know the few teams that felt like they were gonna be anointed here the the Rams and the Broncos You look at it and go man me, you know Maybe reading your press clippings a little too much and no one can yourself and not coming into a game With quite the edge that you need to uh to to be a playoff or a Super Bowl caliber team All right, we're taking our first break when we're back We got the debut of a brand new segment. It's gonna be the XNO files. We'll see where this goes Chris Right after this break Oh Does a Buffalo or a longhorn cow win in real life. Oh the Buffalo I don't know about that. You know longhorn's freaking big if you sow as a Buffalo I have seen a Buffalo in person I've been to Yellowstone National Park. Okay, so I've been there. I've seen one and I course have seen Bevo in person right and I would say yeah, I'd be more worried about Bevo the American Buffalo

Average is 1,000 to 2,200 pounds. Oh wow The full grown males are typically Up to 2,000 pounds why the female is up to 1200 so I think it's a yeah, it's a good match I Buffalo's a little bigger than I thought so maybe I need to rethink you need to go back to Yellowstone and check your notes Text yourself some more notes on the next one. I love I love that talk right there Well, the chat did too rage dog said the bison over the longhorn the bison is a foot taller 500 pounds heavier and shorter sharper horns. Yeah, can you get inside a little leverage talking inside the longhorn? So I love it giving a more dominant position to use them as a weapon the bills versus Texan Texans game was nature fixing the balance go Bills Brian Quinn said low-key longhorn cattle are actually known for being super gentle giants relative to the killing crushing power Any cattle can have that is why you can actually see them in parades and such so much more often The Buffalo will generally prefer to just book it away unless family is around But I am not messing with that much muscle same logic for crosswalks

Yes, I have the right of way the car going 40 miles per hour will not care Well done Ryan. Oh, well, that was really good all of it was really good wait at chief What a key wadden bison will get low under the steers rack and it's over Sims They had no predators the other needs a Texas rancher. It's here. Well wait Who the hell and what animal in Texas is eating longhorn? That's such a I'll say there I stand corrected the bison is going to win. I once he said those stats yesterday I hear it all the way But but what animals are in Texas that are eating longhorn's they don't have predators either I don't think but either way. It's great. We'll try to give you a A mascot battle every week. Yeah, this is this was truly like a really really good one By the way, we love when you guys get involved in the wardrobe talk Kyle said Connor looks Jersey Shore but acts with more respect and intelligence Well, is that a cop how do you feel about that? It's no, it's a compliment. It's like a backhanded compliment Yeah, no, yeah, you look Jersey Shore, but you do have brains and intelligence Most people in Jersey does and I'm from there

Especially down the Jersey Shore, okay You can say that your Jersey Shore is like you know, you can go back in time sometimes you go down to like certain spots And you're like wait is this 12 years ago and people are saying things to you and looking at wait What if you looking at it is time travel and you're like I'm going to a ride with my daughter Like what are you looking at you? Rick with your you know blonde tips and your wife beater and a bunch of fake gold chains What the hell are you looking at is what I want to say Oh, personal experience right there what many personal experiences there with that and easy transition to the ex and oh files This can go anywhere. We'll keep it football for now, but if you look at I love that Stonehenge oh wow, yeah, that is a beautiful animation Then you see I'm just mad we didn't have dullest plaza there for J.A.K. The truth is out there the Oswald Yeah, in season it'll be football if you stick with us through the spring you've probably heard it all from us by now

The big I don't know conspiracy, but question today. Yeah, this is Josh Allen Finally have the weapons he's been missing and this is all centered around what DJ Morton does the well Yes, it's been something we've been banging the drum for there hasn't been a guy that can take We know James Cook is there I get it But but as we've talked about teams that are special have more than just oh There's just one guy and look he has one guy He should go to he should win every superboy. He's got James Cook like come on That's kind of the standard is for Josh Allen So yes, DJ Morton's a game changer for them That's apparent when you look at the film the one the way they used him He was used aggressively down the field as the number one read a lot And even within that then Josh Allen goes wait He's the number one read they triple team them somebody else is open So that's what it was great. Let me just say this too Josh Allen Was watching that film back was jaw dropping Some of the decisions and throws he made and how quick he made them against that team I thought I was gonna see more busts when I turn left film like oh Houston messed this up

Huston messed this up no Houston watched the film on Monday and they're like hey We didn't do well. We need more from the past rush But they also told their secondary listen He's the only guy in the NFL that can make that throw right there was five or six of them where you just go Nobody else nobody. I'm telling nobody Can make some of the throws that he made in the football game It was a phenomenal important and performance and again why Another reason why Widenly in the NFL he's considered the best quarterback in football right now You don't see a lot of games from this not only from Lasseter who took the brunt to Vic because of the drop Everything that but also sting Lee who is typically regarded as one healthy one of the best They showed no fear of any of them and no yeah, there's gonna be some plays here where sting Lee I feel like if it's the old bills we're gonna stop it. I'm gonna sit on this sure nobody I'm not scared of Gabe Jackson or step on Jake's later in his career Yeah, they haven't had a guy like DJ Morrison step on digs early in the Buffalo era right so let's get to it The first one is a third and six yeah, and this is from the Buffalo 18

And they're up 24 21 so I would call this more aggression on third and six aggression Putting your guys in the right spots putting the defense in a bind right we talk about a bunch set so much here And the bunch and what the bunch does is you just allow doesn't allow these guys to get up here and press or do anything like that So that's the big thing now the really what they do is they just attack this is DJ Moore That's Palmer and they attack and they're playing kind of a zone defense It looks like it's a man-ish But what they do here was sting Lee they attack kind of the deep heart With Palmer to where he doesn't know what to do and then off of that they use DJ Moore off of it to really put sting Lee in a bind So again here's featuring DJ Moore While being aggressive down the field not just going hey, we got him a we got him a screen look You got a reception we we paid him 20 million to catch a screen No, it's like if you're gonna get him use them big time And you can see here Shakir's underneath he's running in the flat Palmer is gonna run like this

Sting Lee knows he's got the first guy out or anybody that's coming out So he's kind of playing like a three deepest zone right and within that though Palmer keeps attacking So he's worried that he might go over the top of him and he's got DJ Moore Bareling down at him and let's go a lot of responsibility Responsibility it's like basically almost like they were like hey in this we can two on one him to a degree Yeah, and let's go to the next picture Pete to where you see that see so now You see he's going deep still But he has to respect it because he knows like this guy's got no help here So he's worried that if he does something like that also he's backed off because he's like DJ Moore's running him at me full speed And DJ Moore can fly and within that again just another aggressive way they get him the ball Put him in the right spot put him in the right formation Really awesome route combination and it just felt like under Joe Brady They were very aggressive and pushing the ball down the field and especially focusing on DJ Moore and Alan is throwing this ball

As soon as more breaks towards the sideline no doubt So like season breaking he sees Derek Stingley cannot make a break on that from that body angle So he's just like oh this is pitch and catch no problem Boom he hits it first down bills keep the drive going This is one of those lighter examples of why arm strength matters because if you could drive that ball There's no way to defend it. There's no way to do you can't drive that ball Stingley exactly right And so you see Palmer going deep on the deep corner to where he kind of has to protect that a little bit and yet at the same time He's got a great receiver attacking him So that was in the third quarter. Let's go back to the second quarter This was Kamari Lassiter's DPI this is a first and 10 on the Houston 47 Buffalo is down at this point so we're going to rewind when Buffalo was down 14 to 10 and 14 to 10 But again underneath center Right Payakson pass super heavy personnel have a person now and it's going to be DJ more Running a deep corner route. He's the read. It's just a it's just read it hide a low He's going to kind of run like this

Like he's running the post and then he's going to break off to the corner behind him will be Dalton Concade who runs a corner route behind him. So let's go to the next picture Pete You're going to see it here and as you see right now, right? It's like Hey, either they're going to try to put this guy in a bind Do you want to try to stop this corner route and slow down because if you do that He's going to go by you right or do you want to just get out of there and then you're going to leave a huge hole Now they got peach re underneath here. So he's in a pretty good spot But I think outland when he sees this and he goes wait my guy's going full speed this guy just turned to run I'm going to give him a chance and throw it out there So you go to the next picture Pete you're going to see it and again see really What's the what's the rule you know when you had a really fasty receiver if he's even he's leaving Exactly so he knew he could see he's about to be even if I throw the ball out there he'll be leaving and we get that So now all right, they're trying the safety is trying to go down on Dalton Concade They got the guy underneath he knows he's got a one-on-one shot. That was his first read anyways

First read he knows the the DB's back is turned and he goes I got nothing to worry about if I just put it in the Facility my guy's in a catch it or we're probably gonna get a PI because the guy's not locating the ball with his back turned like that as you see right there Fall down the field. Yeah, there it is Adlin through the ball like 62 yards in the air He needed to throw like two or three more yards, but nonetheless Doesn't go in the stats sheet he had five for 100 But this was actually another 51 yard completion if you really look at it And that's the effect that you won't see in the statute that was real on the football field And then you know you you mentioned this during our recap yesterday, but Dalton Concade Maybe this is the year that he takes the leap from Usable good player, but they drafted him to be a great mismatch. I think he's It felt like it was like if we're not featuring DJ more we're featuring Dalton Concade That's what it felt like watching the game back and then Allen has a great feel of like hey, they're one-on-one the DB's back turned Concade's big catch of the day. He was covered, but it was way down field the back the DB couldn't see it

Josh Allen's like I'm just gonna put it in for sanity and he'll go up and catch it and he did that all right Let's go to the bears because I definitely want some time for this one. Obviously it was an insane offensive output Chris We saw a lot of different motions and shifting from Ben Johnson That's not a surprise. Oh, of course they're tight end usage and also the breakdowns I know you said it to me as soon as you sat down Just the breakdown of their run game and which direction they right side right side right side Jonah Jackson Darnell Wright Freakin mashed The Carolina Panthers defensive line on that side of the ball. I mean listen. What was the stats aren't even the right end runs So look at it as the right outside runs. They had six carries for a hundred yards. Yeah, so that's about 17 yards per carry They're even their right guard runs. Yes, they had four for 28 that's seven yards per carry up And then the middle right runs once again those a gap ones but to the right side they were five for 50 and I'm telling you They're behind him. They're those middle or they're like collapsing down or

Sometimes they were run to the left look for the back cut backside cut and they collapse the backside Which I think they intentionally do they're amazingly coached in the run game I mean they're they're amazing first off. They have a really good run Scheme they have a good online. They got three run blocking tight ends who also can catch the ball But are awesome at that and then Ben Johnson always gives you something to think about with the run game So there's always a wait they're running it here, but they have a screen thread over here They're running it here, but they're running the bootleg routes on the backside And then you have to worry about Caleb Williams who is arguably the best bootleg quarterback in the game right now So in the backside pursuit is always tentative when they play Chicago And that's some of the things I think we'll we'll show here Yeah, let's jump into it. I'm gonna have the boot numbers too at the end of this But the first play is a Kyle Menungai 14 yard run this in the fourth quarter. It's on a third and fourth well This is they're up to touch down. They're up to touch down They always run the right plays and the right looks they get off the ball so clean and crisp and aggressive

It's amazing that way It's this is more about you see the bunch here, but they run the ball and they give you a route combination up here That kind of slows down all pursuit because they're all like wait He might throw it here. They're blocking it. They're running the receiver. So let's show the play Pete go ahead You get to it boom see they got this thread here So now you see this it kind of freezes all four guys in the back end and the defense end yeah because they're like wait Is he gonna throw the screen it gives Menungai the ball and now you see They have basically 5-0 lineman working on four Four defensive lineman that way and so he just precious the gap and he finds it tries to find somewhere Who's over pursuing and look at the backside cut look at the four guys we're talking it They're all worried about it and they're 20 yards away So now he gets a cut back line and it's boom and they're worried about Caleb too So there you go you've taken away five people at a run defense Because of your quarterback and the screen thread up top so yeah the run game is gonna work into your favor with those type of numbers

That's really what he's just masters at this point brilliant because it's you don't ever feel a like they just obviously they paid Deonjari swift a lot You don't notice a drop off no matter who's the running no no manungai you do not they have the scheme down Down pat so I know you wanted to mention the wide receiver blocking. Yeah Well, let's watch that long touchdown run so Kyle Menungai not known for home run speed 61 yard rushing touchdown. This was at the end of the third quarter I believe this was on a first in 10 the bears are up 38 31 So this is still kind of one of those like man Are we ever gonna pull away because the panthers kept answering? I think this is on the heels of tetoramic moon fumbling right so this is where you said that flip the game this flip the game And it's first off look at the size of his ass and look at the size of his ass giant oak tree oak tree And then you got you know cult command who's up. He's big human being And if you're gonna play in Chicago the two running backs. I mean the receivers got a block That's just the way it is and they block Luther burden and calie frame and watch the two blocks they make this is just

Collapse down and then these guys get on bodies and they make the right blocks here to spring manungai Let's go to the next picture Pete. So you see there first off to your point on the a gap gone see them gone burden block as he's going through calie frame and second level. Let's check it out Pete Boom next play look he makes the block that springs manungai gone see you later. That's that But let's take a break Because there's nobody better to talk about that run offense and what they do be flows on the line We're gonna go commercial break and when we come back we'll have brought Brian Flores at the Minnesota Vikings All right, we're back. Yes, promise huge guests today Vikings defense coordinator Brian Flores Somehow a good friend of this guy over here Coach you way back Way back he was he went to Boston College with a friend of mine one of my my tail back in high school

So before new England so even when I was I came home from Texas one day and He was in my kitchen and I was like who is this guy and So that was the first time and that and then new England when I wanted to get a whale a little bit and just talk ball and be with a dude and like Let's be humans for four minutes I would go down into his office and he'd probably tell me how stupid I was about some thought I had or whatever else But thanks for joining us dude We go way back and In this in this space man. He's doing your fantastic love. He love love love watching here here Talk ball, which I think you did a great job kind of explaining that them a nungai run Thanks, man. That was you know well done. I preach all right. So we what we're gonna get to that but but and and uh I think the first thing first off you're amazing and what you're doing right now I would love to hear what's it like what's week one like because we always hear it's the unknown You don't know what to do you're not sure what the other team's gonna expect. How do you game plan for a week ones?

Is there a special nuance there? Ah week one is tough. I think really cross the board especially in the division with a team that uh, you know you're familiar with like we we were with the packers. They're familiar with us. We're familiar with them um, you know Obviously they had a lot of a lot of skill player great quarterback great play club play play caller. So um, there's just a lot of unknowns You gotta you can you know you gotta prepare for a lot you can oftentimes over prepare uh And really the first you know three four weeks of the season or about getting to know your team the things you do well uh You know best personnel groups, you know Yeah best calls best things you do best and so There's certainly someone knowns, but you know week one certainly about adjustments to hey What is their game plan? How are they attacking us and then what do we have to do to you know counter whatever they're you know They're they're their game plan is and so um, it was a it was a tough game

You went right down to the wires. We expected the division game to go um Great excitement in the stadium great to get started, you know Obviously some nerves, you know really cross the board my son asked me hey dad you nervous. I'll be I'm nervous every time I go out But uh it was it was it was a fun game and you know We showed some resiliency as a as a as a unit defensive unit They made some big plays against us and we had to kind of you know shake it off and get back out there and make some adjustments and Um, you know just fight to fight the 60 minutes Brian one thing we love watching about your defense is the chaos of really not knowing What to expect with a ton of guys standing up at the line of scrimmage Who's heading downhill? Who's not and everybody loves all that but it's you know You have guys working downhill. They're used to playing in space and guys that are used to rushing up field dropping back in playing in space So as a coach you brought up getting the team ready How hard is it to get guys used to that asking them to do things that maybe they're not comfortable with

Because for you it's it obviously shines on tape that they look ready to roll But how hard is it during summer to get them up to speed with that? Yeah, I think we we start that process and uh all we're back in OTAs Um, and that's that's part of the conversation. Hey, you know here we we ask guys to do a lot of Different things. So sometimes the edge guys are gonna have to drop the you know the the you know corner Gonna have to blitz and so You know, we've got drills and drill work for for all those techniques and fundamentals um And you know, I think you know you ask a big D line and they drop in coverage You know, I think they have a little phone with that and you ask a corner to blitz to have a little phone with that. So it's different Um, you know, it's new for some guys um But you know at the same time, you know, we're you know our the core of the defense is the fundamentals of the techniques the edge set and the tackling um, and so Um, obviously we try to throw a little flare on that with with couple of exact pressures um, and I think our guys they take to it they enjoy it

um It's really about you know those fundamentals and really implanting defense, you know good communication and really having a good time out there How do you how do you you know have the guts? and everything to Blitz be aggressive like you were in the game the other day you get burned early I mean they make some giant plays on you a most defense accordionized that feel like would have been like okay Abort mission abort mission. We're gonna play too deep. We're gonna play Tampa do the hell with that How do you still keep your defense confident and yourself confidence after that happens to keep executing the plan that you went into the game with Yeah, you know, thanks for the reminder on that And absolutely go back Look, I've got you know, you know strong convictions and in beliefs and uh, you know what we do um That's that's kind of part of you know playing in aggressive style every once in a while, you know, you're gonna get hit um With a big play. It's funny. I have had this conversation with several several, you know, even coaches on staff

Hey, you know, maybe we want a back back, you know back off a little bit and it's I just feel strongly that um, you know applying pressure and and being aggressive um You know just I don't want to say creates havoc, but you know creates um a sense of urgency for for the quarterback to either get the ball out I puts pressure on the old line it puts pressure on the receivers, you know Is it a side of justice at a hot? You know, do I have to break off to route things like that um And really we only need one person to To you know make a mistake and then you know, we've got an opportunity. So I just believe strongly in that and um We just showed that once from all we change it up, but I do believe strongly in that right well I we just showed a grass graphic of your blitz rate and your pressure rate I don't know how well you can see it But the crazy thing is is even when you don't blitz you're still getting pressure You know, so so is there? Obviously you come up with it during the week, but what what is it sometimes and not that you have to get specific

But exactly, but what is it sometimes you go? Oh, I don't know if I actually want to blitz this team. I'd rather fake the blitz a lot and not do it But what kind of takes you there? Yeah, I think it's case by case. Yeah, you know, in week by week and um I think I think mixing it up is always kind of the right way to go I think the coordinators in this league if you're doing the same thing over and over again If you're not you don't have a variety and you're you know your coverage is your fronts your you know techniques for the men They're gonna find a way to find an advantage You know, I You know, I feel like I've grown a lot as a coordinator in my time in Minnesota and and I think it's because you know the floors in there Ben Johnson's here You know we've played chanahan a couple times we've played many very couple times and um You know having those matchups and seeing the the variety of ways that they attack defenses For me when we've got to have enough to to play with those types of you know coordinators and teams and quarterbacks and um

You know i enjoy that man. It's it's my I know you do yeah, you're a psycho in a good way like I say about most good coaches Working on a staff with Kevin O'Connell Brian. Is there something since you've gotten there that you feel like has challenged you more Whether it's during training camp or something different that he does that you've kind of grown in Absolutely, I think I think KO coming from the McVeigh system and you know every day is a challenge You know when you're up against your you know Justin Jefferson Jordan Addison T.J. Hockinson and the schematics that KO and his staff are bringing on a daily basis You know you can do nothing but improve and so um I think I think our players and myself just speaker for myself but our players our coaches staff um, you know tonight on iron situation in training camp and we're um You know trying to find ways to you know if we see these things in season how would we how do we deal with them? Right and we've been hit with some things you know in training camp

Hey, we've got to fix though. We got to fix that leak and so You know the day-to-day here is it's a competitive environment and You know it's one of the things I love about beginning Minnesota So off of that too I feel like I know he got hurt But I feel like I got to ask you just about Kyle and Murray and what you've seen You know with him training camp and and and just what he's done to kind of take take hold of that quarterback position there Yeah, I mean you really threw out training camp you just uh growth command of the offense uh You know obviously he's got a big arm. You can see the athleticism and you know there's toddler You know, we would have got him. I don't know guys. I don't know if we would have got him on that So yeah, there's got letticism it's off script plays and um, you know It was unfortunate to see him go down the other day, but you know Actually just so in a couple minutes girl he looks good and so you know Obviously he'll be through the protocol and you know, we'll see what happens there, but uh, you know My time with him is not time with him. You know so far has been fantastic and um, I think you'll do some good things for us

You know want to tell me all right, so I know you feel good and it was all great on Sunday But damn, you know, I'll share our our our texts right yesterday if you don't mind where I'm asking him to come on and hey, yeah, you were trying to he's trying to figure it out And then he he sends me a text a few minutes later man the bears are a problem, right? So so yeah, they did score 59 the run game is crazy good go into what makes Ben Johnson so awesome and so hard for you to defend Yeah, I mean, I think he's just uh You know any style of of all and this isn't just you know, this is not the west coast system. This is not the running shoot. This is not uh, you know, we're just gonna, you know, uh, it was a ground in pound. This is this is all of those things That you can get in a game plan and you really don't know which one you're gonna get until until Sunday at that new Um, and I think that's that's what makes him special. I think they've got a you know

I think they've got you know, that quarterback is a young superstar. Yeah, uh, they've got skill players all over the place They got a good offensive line Um, and they play the right way and so the techniques the fundamentals, you know They make you earn it defensively just like you know on our side of the ball. We try to make the offense earn it offensively And so it's always a challenge. Uh, it's a fun challenge too um You know, Ben and I were you know, uh, you know, uh, we text back and forth a little bit in the offseason Um, he's a friend, uh, but he's also like a this like a let's call it a A respectful rivalry. Yeah, it's called Yeah, um, you know, I enjoy every time we go out there and compete against one another um, but they got a they got a really good group, you know, this quarterback is you know He's a teacher certainly a young superstar. Yeah, he's becoming superstar. He's special that way One of the things I was breaking down right before you came on was just the the thing where he always he might run to the left

But he makes he runs routes on the right side like it like it's a bootleg or like it's a respect to the Rosic You get out there. Yeah, right. So between the shifts and the motions and all that and that You know to me he was the first one. I really saw that like win all in on that stuff Am I wrong about that? But that's got to be a pain in the ass to worry about it. You know, I think I think You have to ask Ben yourself, but anything that's given people problems whether it's Uh, you know, Aaron Rogers and the Kate is hard count, you know, uh, throw it up or uh, McVase Kind of tempo and jets and motions and you know, this is kind of the RPO world Which you're talking about when you're keeping guys out of the box in the run game I think he sprinkled all of those things into his office and if it fits, you know, in a in a particular week Then it fits and he'll do it and so um, I think he does a great job. I really do

And it's gonna be a major chip major challenge um, and uh You know, they got good players too, and so I know I know they do they got good challenge. Yeah. Yeah, no doubt about that. Uh, I know you got places to go and and people to see But I appreciate you coming on here and hanging with us, man Seriously great great spending time and we'll be on we'll be watching on Sunday I'm gonna be on the couch. I mean you first bed Johnson don't disappoint us. Okay, come on show up. Make sure you do Great talk. It's you as always. Thanks Brian. See you be flow. Good man. Best of luck Of course that was coach Brian Flores One of these schematic masterminds of the NFL. There's just there's no way around it Well, it's it's like I Like he said Or what I've heard from years from defensive coaches when they're gonna play you know, they know Kyle's my buddy and they're oh man chanahan He's a problem. Yeah, when I he's one of the few guys that I get the vice versa with from my offensive friends

Who know that I'm friends with him and they're like man? I'm preparing for your guy freaking be flow and holy crap Is it an issue or it's a problem and as we've talked about you know if you're gonna match wits What you get if you're gonna be a great defense accordion in the NFL you got to match wits with those guys and then also to You know, we had this conversation me and be flow and I wish we could add a more time to where we go through it where hey sound defense is good We all know we'd like to run sound defense and perfect defense But in the modern day in the fell with some of these offences these play callers these quarterbacks You got to be you got to take some chance not enough It can't just be sound right all the time If you just think you're gonna be oh, I'm gonna be really awesome at cover to every play It's like no not with some of these quarterbacks and receivers and and the play callers we got right now You got to give them some things where they drop back or whatever like what the hell is this? I can't quite figure it out just to buy yourself some time to get the pass rush there or maybe make him think and he misses the

Read real quick whatever it is and that to me is where Somewhere early on in his Miami career when he was with the dolphins He started doing that and I went whoa Beflows gone to another level. This is different than what he did in New England I remember that second year with the dolphins somewhere along the lines of it, you know covering the jets Yes, I was sitting there and I was like Man the jets are in big trouble if this guy is in the because the dolphins like the jets are often a basement team Yes, yes, so then when you're like one of the basement teams is now crawling out of the darkness and they're gonna be a problem and I We know how that ended we think that clearly he was not in the wrong when you look back at it now Uh, he's gonna get another shot at being a head coach And I think he's gonna be a damn good NFL head coach the second time around agreed But I never forget that second dolphins here I was like this is a problem the dolphins found one He's so creative. He's obviously a strong leader. Yeah, it's I believe that was the year They upset the Rams and and Jared golf at home. You're right. I think that was the year

One ten games the Thursday night game where they blitzed Lamar like every play and everyone's like nobody's done this to Lamar Like they usually nobody had the guts because if you like the blitz didn't get there a one guy missed He'd run around the corner for a 70 yard game or throw a bomb down the field So yeah that that to me is when it really came and became a different level that way and uh I'm with you That this guy is a NFL head coach. I've always said that. I think he got an unfair deal in Miami He was from New England He knew how he wanted things run and I think they were telling him how to run things too much and he's like wait Are I the head coach? Right um, but yeah, I hope that with some of this off the field You know, and he has the lawsuit with the NFL. I'm hoping that some owner realizes like hey screw all that This guy is a Mikey McDonald. This guy is a variable Right he is a special special defensive coach, and I hope he does get a chance once again I do think it'll happen all right before we go rookie of the week presented by us bank Chris I think you got a three pack here for us. I went with you. I'm cheating. I'm cheating

I'm just spoiling us, but but how do you like I just it came to my mind last night where I'm like What an unbelievable thing to be a rookie you're playing some of these quarterbacks where you're like oh my gosh I've watched them on TV my whole life and then you get an interception early on in the game That to me was Montsord d'Alene of course You know the fourth or fifth play of the game intercepting bone X and the team that was in the AFC championship game Trade on stucs your guy Arizona. We love to like them, but you love them. Love them He makes the big pick on Malik Willis. Yep, and a big part of the football game and then a Josiah Trotter Right, what was the most shocking one which I was like man. He's a past game Liabilities that was a book on that's what I thought he gets a pick six on Joe burrow and brings the the bucks It back into the football game So those rookie defenders right there with the i and t's got to give him some love. I love it great moments for all three of those I'm gonna go with Antonio Williams Who did not play a lot of snaps for the commanders? Yeah, and had four catches for 64 yards man. He looks real

He's got great hands. He's an easy separator. He is I love when a guy comes out week one and shows the coaching step And I thought gay back. Accus did this for England. Yeah, you're gonna have to play me a lot more Yes, and listen we like Terry McClaren and Stefan digs and they're in their roles But the commanders they feel like they're always looking for that number three option. Yeah, this is the no Brain I got it. Yeah, no no brainer number three option a number three option plus I think I think it might only go well when you start to do like to your point what you do there You know, they get in the old proverbial trust tree And now they start to go. Oh, he does look the part. Oh, he's not he's not intimidated by the bright lights Oh, he did read the coverage the right way. So he's really ready to go That's when now the next week I bet you they'll have another Faction of plays where they draw it up for him to make a difference But I hear he was impressive. He impressed us in the preseason He's another one that you were much higher on in the draft And I was a little lower on that you were proven right here. So far I really yeah

I always try to weigh that it's like what can I do because the offense sticks got to I think exactly right He got hurt which is that's not a positive on the scouting report But how you bounce back from that at the NFL matters a lot good start for Antonio Williams. Yeah, totally that all right So you know my man leaves tomorrow. I guess he has to go buy some my one day off He's got a day off. So we won't have him. We will have Devon McCordy here in the studio We'll have him. It's Wednesday with Warren And we're going to break down some other things in the NFL and start maybe looking forward to next week's matchups Again, you know where to find us 11 a.m. Live NBC sports YouTube page every day NBC sports now three p.m. And peacock you can find us there hope every four p.m. 4 p.m. My bad everybody out there hope you enjoyed the show We'll see you back here tomorrow on Christmas Zumbun and Connor you demand.
