Col. Larry Wilkerson: Missile Over Carrier: Iran's Bold Test Sends US Navy Running

Dialogue Works

About this episode

Dialogue Works is made possible by:

This interview analyzes the escalating, undeclared conflict between the US and Iran, highlighting a severe lack of strategic direction from Washington. The discussion explores how tit-for-tat military strikes and domestic political maneuvering are driving up global oil prices and threatening critical chokepoints like the Strait of Hormuz. It also examines the dangerous role of regional actors, warning that unchecked escalation could lead to catastrophic consequences. Ultimately, the conversation reveals how these mismanaged conflicts are accelerating a global shift away from US influence, alienating allies, and empowering new geopolitical alliances, all while the public bears the economic and human cost.

Today's Monday, September 7, 2026, an elder friend, current wicker, and he's here with us. Welcome back. Anyway. Good to be with you. Name a, let me just say to your listeners that, uh, he's the reason we were a little bit light, not many. But we were talking about something so interesting. Yeah, no, yeah, should retell that joke. Why are you in the land? What to get the free food? Uh, Larry, let me start with the latest, you know, interactions.

I would say tit for tat, whatever we can put it, you know, we can, we can call it. But the latest attack on Iranian tankers, three Iranian tankers were attacked. Iran retaliated with the attack on three us. They called it US affiliated tankers. And then later on, we have, as Iranian source said, the head of the National Security Council. He said that they used a new missile or a new type of missile hitting the aircraft carrier and the destroyers, warships in the Gulf of Oman and in the Arabian sea. The other point yesterday was the head of Iranian parliament mentioning that our response, Iranian response, he said, is not going to be proportional anymore. It means that they're feeling the, they really want, they really want based on the arguments inside on, they really want to remove the blockade.

It's going to be militarily. Where do you see these sort of little bilateral escalations that are happening and may bring some sort of huge repercussions or interactions between the two sides? First, I think the reason Donald Trump keeps wishy washing around about war's arm, war's off war. Oh, I'm sorry. There's no war. The DOW has said it is not a war. As you well know in that article, you just cited for telegraph, I think it was. There is no war. This is simply Donald Trump throwing rocks at Iran and Iran throwing rocks back. I think what is happening on the US side is one, and this I'm pretty sure of, don't just think it. I think I know it. There's no strategy whatsoever. They are simply doing what they do each day to try and stave off what would otherwise be a fairly apparent defeat.

And that means we're going to do it all the way up to the elections and perhaps even beyond. Now, let me hasten to say footnote that and I'll come back to it. Maybe Netanyahu is a determinant in all this. So his cats, his defense minister and others, but put it that aside for a moment with regard to Trump, he's going to keep doing this. I think it's got more to it now than simply manipulating the market. So his buds can make a lot of money and himself too. It's also his indecisiveness and not having a clue as to what to really do to bring closure to a set of events that are doing irreparable in many respects, damage to his potential for, shall we say, continuing in office with some kind of peace and serenity. And the potential for the Republican party did not lose one for sure and maybe two houses of the Congress and thus make his second two years extremely difficult, even though he doesn't seem to pay any attention to the Congress whatsoever.

It will nonetheless get much more dicey when the other side can share the hearings and call his people up like Hague South and others. So most of his strategy right now, and I didn't even mention it's keeping Epstein's case very much out of the limelight or mostly so. So he's accomplishing a couple of things, one political, the other personal and perhaps really damaging for him and his wife out of the news. And that's all that I see him accomplishing and all that I see the array of characters around him, including Hague South accomplishing now. Footnote that too and I'll come right to that footnote Hague South I think right now to the rest of the administration or those that care or those that have to depend on DOW, DOD for something or other. Understand how incompetent Hague South is. They are getting a visceral look through the eyes of others that are being interviewed increasingly, including uniform others and through their own networks within the administration.

They know what kind of a mess Hague South has got the president in and it's going to be interesting to see what people like Vance and Rubio in particular, but about and Miller to very powerful do about that. Do they just kick him overboard and make it look like Donald Trump is trying to blame him for everything, which would be typical Trump. Or do they try to live with him and go on realizing that the leadership at the Pentagon is destroying day by day hour by hour the United States military. That's a huge decision that I don't believe any one of them is really all that interested in making because it would set them up for a confrontation with the big Donald. And then the third thing I would point out is no one other than a few in the beginning and I think Dan Cain was in this group really understood even 50% of what they were entering into when Trump ordered this non-war.

Most of them do now, including the chairman Dan Cain and an array of other flag and general officers who have not been fired who are around the president and the second war or second death. And they don't know what to do and they're also looking at the potential for the worst aspect of these elections to materialize and be that at least in battleground states, if not in a large swath of the country, they can contemplate perhaps being deployed or whatever reason full blown insurrection declared here and there. Or just to line the voting lines, if you will, and intimidate people. I don't know what it would be that they're going to have to do with their becoming increasingly aware as I've said many times that January the 6th was real. It was just a farce because there was no state power on its side of significance, no state power leader on its side of significance either.

There will be this time in Higgseth has made sure that all to say that this is a backwater really this is not the essential thing for Trump. This is not the essential thing for those members of the administration who are most powerful in the administration and just putting it off and tit for tat every now and then. They don't understand, best in particular doesn't understand, although I'm told by competent source that he is beginning to understand some of this source lives in Tokyo that the dimensions of what Trump has done with this war and what best has exceeded to in this war with regard to the sanctions, for example, or counterproductive best and disasters that worse because what is the most important thing for the president. The worst because what we're doing is alienating everyone that was left trying to decide whether they wanted to more or less stay with the United States or watch and see what was happened or whatever they've made their decisions now.

And they're making their decisions swiftly and that's probably about 2 thirds of the world and 2 thirds of its GDP. So we're losing all that and plus we're probably losing our eyes. Listen to a very astute individual talk about what the United States has now done to Japan and he didn't just talk about what the US has done to Japan recently. He talked about all the way from World War II forward, which is a somewhat sorted story if you believe the most heinous aspects of it, including some of the things that Douglas MacArthur did and some of the things that he did that are still with us and how the Japanese have had to deal with that throughout the entire post war period and had to deal with Ronald Reagan, of course, in the mid 80s when Japan was, you may recall this, you're not that young. Japan was rumored by Americans all over the country to be taking over the world and America too. And big scare.

I remember that vividly when their cars are going to run us out of the workplace. They're too good. Their products have become so good. You know, made in Japan used to be an insult and now things are really good coming from Japan. They were taking over our cinema companies. They were taking over computers. All manner of things. Well, we smack them in the mid 80s. We smack them and we made them tie their yen to the dollar and now that tie is hurting them very gravely and they know it. So these are all these things are happening while Trump's asleep basically asleep. He doesn't understand what's going on and worst Nema. He has no cabinet officials with power who understand what's going on. They are in their own fiefdoms doing their own things, doing them in accordance without vote and Miller tell them to do whether it's immigrants or it's playing inside or trading and things like that.

They're not paying attention to their portfolios, not because they don't want to because they're incompetent to do so. And that includes the secretary of the Treasury. So here we are in the middle of this mess and I think I've got to believe even that some of the more sophisticated Iranians, few of which I've met, of whom I've met from the University of Tehran, for example. Understand some of this. And so they know that the more they do and the more resolute they are in doing it and the more damage it does is they do it, the more they're winning, the more they're fulfilling that headlight and how are rats that I mentioned where they essentially said at the worst start, 29 February somewhere around there. They had a headline that said all Iran has to do is not lose to win and all Israel and the US have to do to win is win spectacularly meaning or gene fall.

They ain't going to happen. And he said, I don't think it is. So that's where we are. We're in a disaster that no one recognizes a little loan if they did recognize it knows how to get out of them. And I think as I said, I think Tehran increasingly realizes that has cost them a lot of people and a lot of blood. And I mean, you know, we're killing children again, apparently. Crimes, parks, all else we've committed in this no war. And these are going to come back sometime down the road to haunt us. I don't for a moment think that our legislature or our courts will hold anybody accountable. They just don't do that sort of thing. But I do think the world eventually will hold a secountable and pay us back in our own coin or pay us back with retreat from the international rules, faced order, which is anything but. So we're in deep trouble as I keep telling everyone I meet as I keep telling all the audiences to whom I speak. We are in deep trouble and the trouble starts with Donald J. Trump.

The point with that Larry you mentioned, you know, I was discussing this and thinking of it, why is that happening is that the precision is that the AI is that deliberately the way that they're because Iran is retaliating multiple times, you know, I would say I did three or four times the United States attacking Iran, you know, the scale that the United States is hitting the target Iran is by four times five times responding. But you look at the casualty specifically with the civilians is not comparable. Yeah, what do I need my daughter Trump doesn't care about that he said it. He said it in so many words. He doesn't care about that. He doesn't care about his own uniform personnel. He simply doesn't. So you're looking at that kind of action, not really having a whole lot of impact on the principal decision maker or I suspect on any of the principal advisors to that decision maker.

What's happening that has impact and increasingly so I'm told is the realization on some people's parts like Besson because people have been lecturing him on the sidelines of these meetings he's been going to include the 20 the G 20 or G 19 or whatever the hell it was. And he's beginning to understand what the one factor in this which is added to and deepened by the strikes, but the one factor in the in here that's going to eat his lunch is the straight. And it isn't open and it isn't free and it isn't what ensures and shippers like in any lane in any spot in any place it is not open and free and as long as it's not. It's going to have and you can put it on a scale is to what the convincing mechanism is for shippers and insurers and such.

But it's going to have enormous effects and those effects are beginning to be felt right now at the pump this morning filling up my car. That's the highest I've seen gas in a long, long time and looking at the diesel it was this high as I've seen diesel and probably 20 years. And it's going to go higher and and wheat is in trouble and other crops are in trouble and we know about the other products coming from the Gulf but other places too. Because the world has to as we learned in Beijing in 2009 the world has to shift and will shift to accommodate not only prices and consumers but also in some cases tragedy and deep hurt deep pain. So you're going to shift some of this food to places where it's absolutely essential or thousands if not tens of thousands of people are going to die and you're not going to send it to other places where people do have something to eat at least like for example the United States.

So this is going to deepen every day that goes by that the straight is not open to commerce in its normal fashion adds to this pain and adds to this potential and at one point or two down the road it's going to double and triple things that are very indicative of what's happening and things that are going to bite at Americans pocketbooks in a significant way and going to wait them up. Can he keep this going this charade about ships getting through and they're being sufficient petroleum in all its qualities and quantities up to the election. I don't think so. I think it's going to come to a point where people feel it significantly before that. So then I ask myself what's he going to do then what are we going to do then when we've got some real recognition by a group of people.

And good majority of the American people especially those below the 50% line and that's stunning because you're talking about 150 million plus people. You're going to see some real problems and you're going to see some significant problems that they can't control without using state force and maybe that's going to play right into their playbook. I don't know maybe that's what about in Miller and others like them or planning hex. But this we haven't seen the end of this regardless of Donald Trump saying and declaring it isn't a war or excess saying and declaring it isn't war or periodically going away from it and then coming back to it. He can do anything else so he's not going to stop this. These not the Iranians have the top of the escalation ladder in sight if you will enter climbing. And there's nothing we can do about it. We can't shoot them off the ladder. We can't bomb them off the ladder. We can't move them. Let me go back to the footnote I made though in my opening remarks.

He'd be not to know who can and he worries the B. Jesus out of me. Listen to him. When he speaks in English and then listening to the Hebrew and here having someone translated for me. He scares me. So does cats is defense minister and this frenzy that's taking place right now is revealing the true nature of the Jewish state of Israel. I don't mean to pull the Palestinian Arabs and others the Christians and others into that characterization. But the Jewish state of Israel with very little exception less than 10% is insane and justice maniacal and even more so in some instances than be being at the Yahoo been give air smot rich any of those cretans. So you're watching what's coming out of this election process right now and what more people than be be are saying now that we will regardless of the United States and its posture towards the regime in terror.

We will resume the war and be careful you don't have any idea what's coming. This is the message that's ricocheting around Jerusalem Tel Aviv Haifa right now in this political campaign and the more strident members of the groups that are probably going to be at least kinesic members or members of the cabinet or whatever are the worst. And just looking at what neta nahu is doing right now. Harret had a headline this morning killed 11 people and 11 one of which was a small baby. These are Hezbollah fighters can be a break. Even if you got one or two Hezbollah fighters in there or even an Iranian in their RGC member in there, which is what they're the campaign is purporting that on this ridge there were lots of Iranians underground in the tunnels. Even if that's true, which one of the groups did the baby belong to? I mean, and my experience with Israel is that they killed 11 or 12 probably one of them maybe if they were lucky was Hezbollah.

So this is percolating too. And you know what's happening in Syria that's not too nice either and Erdogan is concerned about that. So that's the fly here that that's the thing that could take off and go in any direction in any moment and cause some real real tragedy in that region, especially if Israel decides that it is going to loan ranger like bring down the Iranian regime because that's what they're saying more than one of them. And the only way they can do that is you know how I'm not sure that'll do it, but that's what they're talking about. Yesterday the there was an article in Jerusalem post mentioning that Iran is preparing for an attack on Israel unifying all these part of coordinating with all parts of the acts of resistance in Iraq in Lebanon.

And in Yemen and all together preparing the attack Israel. Do you really Larry do you see you've mentioned the attack on Lebanon and it's somehow is getting to the civilians and then not just about empty buildings they have destroyed many of them in Lebanon. And there in the northern part of the Latani river Latani river was that you know this Aliah Tahir rage that you mentioned is in the northern part of that. And they're in there in that they're on that ridge now. And I'm told some of them are in the tunnels. And has will I still not out there were reports today as you mentioned that has will I still there the fight is somehow going on between the two sides. And what do you see the war getting back to Israel do you think that sooner or later we're going to have that as it was reported on Jerusalem post.

I think I believe the Iranians when they say that if Israel does what it is doing and continues it. And I don't see any stoppage coming from Israel in Lebanon that they will reattack Israel. I believe them I think they will and then I think all bets are off for what the United States will do. What can we do that we haven't already done I mean it's beyond I think it should be clear to the region to the world to the leadership in our country brain dead though much of it is. It should be clear that we cannot beat the Iranians. In some respects they're beating us at our own game. Although to this point there are circumspection with striking civilians and others around military targets has been quite pronounced I think they have paid maybe it's the accuracy of their missiles.

But they have paid strict attention to trying to kill only military uniform military personnel particularly those belonging to Israel in the United States. They haven't gone out of their way as Israel has and as we have colossally to kill civilians in every walk of life including babies and children. So the Iranians have the high ground in terms of what you might call the ethical nature of war if there is such a thing as well as the actual fighting. All we can go from here is down in terms of the United States and I think the same thing goes for Israel but that scares me because I have no doubt in my mind military or civilian mind the BB Netanyahu will use nuclear weapons. And when he says he is going to finish it off even if the US does it come in with him there's only one way he could be thinking that he might have even a snowball chance and hell doing that.

And that's where the massive nuclear attack and when I say massive I mean probably half or better of Israel's arsenal. Here is Larry what the head of the Iranian parliament said. It says it's simple the oil and gas production chain has chain here is sprawling and accessible and exposed American oil and gas companies across these waters and facilities share that exposure strike our assets and you'll get struck. We've already proven ask you know the bases that are no longer viable. Goodness couldn't have said it better myself. I might have used a little bit different grammar but pretty true I mean it is very true they could have put a sentence in there saying and we have refrained from unlike the empire killing a lot of civilians.

We've just destroyed infrastructure and those uniform personnel who were servicing that infrastructure that's pretty much what they've done. Now that they will continue with that kind of circumspectrum and that kind of prudence and adherence to the rules of war as far as I'm concerned is anybody's guess but I doubt they'll debart from it very far as long as what they're getting is giving them the impact they want. Which is the material targets that caused the empire to really hurt and to cause the Arabia and Qatar and UAE and all the rest of them go to Jordan to hurt. I think the case of the oil facilities is totally different from the bases American bases because it's not about the region it's not about the countries about the global economies about the global market and everything in a collapse in this region is so important.

You're right and it would bother some of trouble some of the runs allies like China for example and I was thinking about the other night I went back and pulled out some of the 2009 paperwork ahead on the petroleum disruption exercise when we took out Ross Sonora which at that time if I remember the figures right was about eight million barrels per day productive capacity. Not quite that today but it was it was the major terminal for Saudi Arabia at that particular time and what what that did was truly disrupt everything I mean overnight everything came to stop and I think I told you west Texas intermediate and Brent crude the principal benchmarks went over $200 a barrel almost immediately this was not a 2000. I think if that were to come about as a result of not terrorist acts as in that case but a state in the region causing it that would really change the dynamics in many respects if first it would change probably the dynamics over time.

That the American people felt as they looked at Iran I don't think there's a whole lot of support for this war right now if any other than in maga. Well I'm sorry it's not a war for this effort but it could change if things became dramatically difficult for us and we saw a lot of casualties for example aircraft carrier getting sunk or something like that. Then you might swing you know more Americans over to being supportive of the effort and you probably would swing the Congress over to being more supportive of it too because I don't think other than the hard core Republicans the Congress is even supportive of this war. There are a bunch of cowards and other than a few people saying something every now and then there's not a whole lot of opposition. So the Iranian are very impressive in the way they know us and well they should be I mean they've been studying this for ever since 53 for sure probably for that.

So I just don't think they would do that but back against the wall which is hard to imagine them being now they've stood most everything but what if Israel does something really really dire then what will they do I think then the rappers are off and they climb the escalation letters highs they can. Latter as high as they can and bring the world to its knees economically possibly between the hooties and they and the Red Sea and the straight of hormones they could do an enormous amount of damage. You got people nema scrambling all over the old business right now trying to figure out how they're going to design an apparatus pipelines of trying to figure out how to put LNG and pipelines because you know it has to be kept a certain temperature. So it's you can't hardly do it no no no we're going to build these pipelines with this special stuff and everything they're all talking about it and a frenzy because Iran has shown just how vulnerable and the hooties together have shown just how vulnerable these two very key choke points are in the world the by bandlandib and the straight of hormones.

And so they want to get away from it I pulled out a map last night that Frank a Peter Frank a pamphlet has in his book the new silk road I used it with the Japanese when I was talking to him the other day group from cockles in college outside Tokyo and I said look at these look at these railroads and look at these pipelines and look at how they run and look to where they run and where they originate this is all outside of us this has nothing to do with us. Maybe you in Japan could connect somewhere around Vladivostok but this is outside our kin and yet this is the future these are the pipelines pumping the pipelines under construction the pipelines contemplated the railroads along with them which are mostly complete now and all the other paraphernalia and it runs north and south and east and west and very geographic. The only strategic does it run and it avoids us. So they're fixing their future not to have to depend on these sorts of things while we still depend on these sorts of things and so we're scrambling now the west is scrambling now trying to figure out ways to do some of the things that they've done that will save the west from this kind of problem in the future.

The name of the problem here to me, the challenge here to me is look where you're doing it to start with if you're thinking about Southwest Asia. You're doing it with tyrannies. They may be wealthy tyrannies, but they're nonetheless tyrannies. You're doing it within many cases in competent leadership. And I hate to throw the old king in this, but I would include Jordan in that list. And I would include Sissy in that list. You're doing it in a very, I'd even include Erdogan down that list. You're doing it with a very fragile state structure and a very fragile, on-tongue, if you will. And people who don't really know where they want to go except to the bank. That's about it. So I don't know how you do it in Southwest Asia the way it's been done up in Central Asia, frankly speaking. I just don't because you don't have it. I'd listen to Jared Kushner this morning defending himself.

I think it was Christiana and Amin Puer or something like that. And Jared is trying to answer all the criticism he's getting for not having done anything with old Steve Boy with cough in Russia with regard to Ukraine. In Southwest Asia with regard to Gaza, Syria or any, this Iran more, anything else. And he's rolling off all the things he's done that are successes, including Whitcough. And he's rolling off the Abraham Accords. And I'm listening to him. You really think the Abraham Accords are still viable? You really do? Man, why did anybody think you could negotiate in this region of the world? Abraham Accords are dead as a rock. But he didn't get it. I mean, clearly he doesn't get it. And that's what we're dealing with. We're dealing with the non-viability of the high, highly technological solutions we want to bring to the region because of the people we have cultivated and supported and made armed to the teeth in the region.

And now Iran's putting a stop to that period. They're putting a stop to it. We don't like it. What are we going to do about it? Nothing we can't. Jared Kushner stayed there all the rest of his life. He keeps Steve Whitcough with him. You want to accomplish a damn thing. And oh, by the way, while you're there, your Jewish state of Israel is going to disappear. Here is the video that you've mentioned, though. Involved in numerous negotiations around the world. Why should people have any confidence in your capacity to succeed here? You were involved in the Gaza negotiations, but Gaza remains a wasteland. There's been real no progress there. Iran, you were involved in those negotiations. The war is still going on. You've been involved in several rounds of negotiations in this conflict. It's only getting more intense. So you're relaunching negotiations now.

What's the likelihood they will succeed when other negotiations you've been involved in have not. This guy is even better. Richard, I first of all, it's nice to actually see you in person. I've seen you on television for years, but I guess we're usually more domestic. So let's see you in the flesh. The first of all, you know, I think these are some of the hardest problems that's in the world. You know, and I think that you have to try and you have to bring to it. Obviously, Steve and I bring different approaches to these things, but we work very well together as partners. But we're not bringing our approaches. We're really representing President Trump and we're doing it the way that he wants to see these things done and working with President Trump. You know, in the first term, obviously, we achieved a lot of unthinkable things, whether it was achieving the Abraham Accords, which nobody thought was possible. We achieved the USMCA, the biggest trade deal in history made a great deal with China. And then the list just goes on and on. We just celebrated the World Cup in America. That was a deal that I let on President Trump's behalf. Yeah, I'm going to put it in because he goes on and on and saying that every Emacord doesn't exist beyond today.

And he's talking about how they have changed the whole case of the aid in Gaza. And today, you know, they have resolved the issue of Gaza, which is not the case, by the way, Israelis are killing Gaza as we talk every 30. 30, 31 a day for the last 14 or 15 days, I think I saw. Harretts keeps a pretty good tally on it. And they'll always tell you that, you know, this baby was killed here. This little girl was killed there. It's, you know, it's almost as if Hitler were alive again and no one cared. Mod.com is changing the way people battle excessive fatigue. Would you buy a car from that man? It's not even... Yesterday, Larry, the foreign minister of Israel said that they have to get closer to the Kurdish group in the region. Because these people wanted to have their own state. So they're basically, they're similar to Israelis. And so they have to get closer and help them in all these countries.

Who are these countries? Iran, Turkey, Iraq and Syria. He's basically trying to, you know, they were doing this with the Kurdish people to be honest for such a long year. You go, you go, you understand better than all of us. Larry, what, but what is the plan? What is that that Israel somehow finds itself, they want, literally they want to fight each and everybody in the West Asia. And because when you talk about the Kurdish people and making these Kurdish people are part of Turkey, or part of Iran, part of Iraq, part of Syria, these are not little states. These are, you know, a region, ethnic, you know, ethnic Kurdish region in Syria, for example. This is not a country. This is not a, you know, but, but after all, Israel wants to do that, going against all these countries together. Well, it's a kind of the same thing they're trying to do with Greece and Cyprus and Turkey.

You know, they're trying, they're trying to keep turmoil going and they're trying to keep turmoil pointed in the direction. This is standard covert action pointed in the direction of their overall strategic objective, which in this case, preliminarily at least, is to topple Iran, but then to topple other places, maybe including Cairo, Ankara, certainly Beirut. And they see temporary allies of convenience, if you will, as instruments in that overall greater Zionist struggle. And no one's better at doing this with the possible exception at times of CIA and SIS in Britain, MI6. And oftentimes they do it under a general impromotor. In other words, Netanyahu says, this is what I want to have happen. Go out and make it happen. And we do the same thing. We do it with CIA. Go out and make this happen. We bought Europe through that sort of technique.

We bought enough people in Europe to make sure that all these countries that have been neutral for so long were occupied by people, I should say, who wanted to become members of NATO. We did it by using Russophobia and weaponizing liberal democracy in the pursuit of that Russophobia. And Russophobia in Europe is pretty latent almost everywhere, particularly in those states that are closer to Russia and have a history of that closeness. So it went very hard. And it's not all that hard for Netanyahu who understands, I think, sometimes I see glaring exceptions to that understanding. But basically he understands what it takes to set neighbor against neighbor, brother against sister, brother against family, sister against sister. He knows how to do that. And I think they're in tells and service knows how to do that too. I'm not shorting CIA because CIA is very good at that too.

But they know how to do this sort of covert operation and they are so well funded. And they may be shocked if anybody ever came out with the actual total billions of dollars that they're funded with plus they self generate many times. They make their own funds by the criminal activities that they establish on the side of these covert operations. They fund themselves. They're self funding in many cases. Not that hard to do when you got traffic again people, illicit drugs, organs and other things like that that now constitute a $10 trillion black economy in the world. And you are so well funded and so well equipped to exploit that and to make money in it yourself. So these intelligence entities that are so huge and so well funded often self generate funds in addition to the state funds that come to them. And Netanyahu is spending a fortune on undermining the countries and the periphery of Israel.

Not just the ones he knows don't like him in my detachment any minute, but also the countries that are relatively peaceful outside that room, but nonetheless impact on his vision of greater Israel. So he's going to create that's the reason I say it a Jewish state in La Laan has to go. It just has to go. It's too much trouble. It's too much pain. It's too much future agony for too many people and the British, you know, the British should be taking out horse fit for what they did. You know, we picked it up, of course, but that's where we are now. All the line drawing and the border drawing and everything we're living with that and it's a mess. And Netanyahu crawls into the interstices of that mess and exploits it to create a bigger is or look at what he's doing in the go on. Look at what he's doing in the whole West Bank. I mean, no one's stopping him. Every day, another acre, every day, another farm, every day, another olive growth, every day more dead people, every single day of the year.

They take another square foot or square acre or whatever. Nobody does anything about it except Malboth. The Israeli finance minister, as a law of smotrich, he said that I think the Palestinian Authority needs to be brought down. I think it is a terror organization. It encourages terror, finances terror inside. It's better and it's dangerous. There will, you know, there will be no avoiding in the near future, a war in the West Bank in which we disarm all Arabs in the West Bank and make sure that weapons are only in our hands. That comes out that describes exactly what Netanyahu and I suspect almost anybody we get in his position wants to do ultimately.

That's that's truth telling truth telling horrible truth, but it's truth telling. And if he were asked about Gaza, he would probably say something like until every single Hamas member is not disarmed. That's not sufficient is dead and buried. And I have seen the grave. I won't stop killing Palestinians and Hamas. That's a significant change as you well know, but it's just a surface change with regard to the Palestinian Authority because Netanyahu acted as if he thought Muhammad Muhammad Abbas and that group were all more or less on the same side he was. Hamas was the problem, but he worked with Hamas because Netanyahu worked with Hamas actually expedited some of their funding because he knew they were opposed to a Palestinian state and whereas Abbas was pushing it.

The problem Larry with this concept, particularly in Syria is that they have Turkey on the other hand on the other side and Turkey doesn't accept Syria to be a failed state in my opinion. They don't want a failed state under border. The last thing they would want is a devastated country under border making a lot of problems for Turkey itself. It gives those Kurds in South Eastern Turkey if they wanted to establish some sort of unified operation, who's to say they haven't already started on a readout if you will. If it's chaos down there, it's kind of like the Taliban had in certain regions of Afghanistan. When you have no control there, then that's where you grow, that's where you prosper. That's the reason they'll kind of picked Afghanistan too.

In chaos and disorder, you can do whatever the hell you want to do. Train your fighters, arm your fighters. That's the reason Turkey doesn't want a destabilized Syria. Turkey would probably prefer to have a sideback as Hamas would be. The guy was a horrible person in the end. Larry Yub mentioned in the beginning of this talk at the numbers that are mentioning. And Pentagon recently based on this article on telegraph that is that the Pentagon is refusing to require payments to the families of the U.S. service members killed in the conflict with Iran arguing that it was not a war. And you remember we had the same issue with the Trump administration with the numbers of the number of casualties, you know, the killed and wounded.

They said in a part of that is during the ceasefire. It was during the ceasefire. We don't count them. What is happening when it comes to this sort of concept that Donald Trump has? I have no idea, Neema, except that it sounds to me like that the Republicans in the House, led by Johnson, who are desperate. And I do mean desperate to try and find some way out of this physical trap that they're not just they, but people before them to rope them into. And we're looking at everything from reforming social security and Medicare and Medicaid and such and maybe even eliminating some of those programs altogether are desperate because the debt is finally coming home to them as to what it is. And so any place they can find money. Any place at all is fair game. And so this is one of the places that they're finding money.

This business that hexeth has started, for example, with regard to testosterone and men and menstrual cycle for women has a backdrop of the blousey recruiting that's occurring right now for the army in particular, but in some respects for all the services. Because as we have assessed the 18 to 24 year old segment of the American society, both male and female in the old volunteer force form over the past 12, 15 years, we have found a growing distaste for military service. And when you poll these people, whether you're at Ohio State or Penn State or San Angeles State in Texas or Catholic University here in Washington or we may marry down in Virginia. You find pretty much the same three or four reasons why they don't want to serve, but one of the reasons that's left up close to the top, if not on the top for some quartiles quartiles is these stupid wars.

They don't want anything to do with it. So we're having an enormous problem recruiting and hexeth is covering that up. And he is doing things that are unconscionable like taking mental category fours up to 10 to 11 percent when I very 10. But this is part of that I suspect that they don't they can't explain where the trillion and a half dollars they've gotten has gone, but it has gone. And they need more and you're going to hear that again and again and again as they go forward in this non more we need more money we need more money we need more money. And it's because of the mismanagement, clossal mismanagement under hexeth, but other people too that have done a bad job of it. And that's going to become a war cry almost is we got to save money we got to save money so we can't be giving money out to these places that we have some kind of legal rationale for withholding the funds and that's what they're looking at.

Walden University set a course for change certified to operate by chef. Larry, I don't know if you saw General Patreus mentioning how he says that Donald Trump needs to change its strategy considering what Ukraine is doing against Russia. Here is what he said. Never listen to the man anymore. We've used our own warfare cheaper ballistic missile defense.

We've used perhaps half of our missile interceptors in this particular conflict. Of course we've provided a number of them to Ukraine prior to this as well. Those are two to three million dollars a copy and it takes years to make those not not months. We've used a very substantial proportion of our most exquisite submarine and ship launched and air launch cruise missiles. Again, we need to learn from the Ukrainians who are using 10,000 cheap, atridable drones per day. The exchange that they're getting for those is absolutely massive. Our exchange when we shoot an expensive missile interceptor to take down a $50,000 Iranian drone is obviously not one that is sustainable. Again, we... You don't know what you're talking about if you really parse what he said there because it's a dichotomy on each side of the straight. And if you throw the hoothies into it, it's even a deeper one because it's not the same thing as Ukraine.

It just isn't the same thing as Ukraine. When you're talking about what's doing the most damage to you, you're talking about these missiles like the... What is it, Castlebreaker? That come in and kill so many people and have blindingly fast speeds and incredible accuracy. I'm told Iran hasn't used a goodly proportion of these yet. So I'm... My military side of me says they're holding these back for the ultimate step on the escalation ladder, short of tactical nuclear weapons. Because these are missiles that will devastate civilian infrastructure like that at Ross-Tonora or someplace equivalent. Just devastate it. You won't rebuild it for a long time to come because the aftermath of that will be contamination, fires, and such, and you won't be able to... This is not the eighth Air Force bombing Polesty to kill the Russian...

...to destroy the German oil tanks and German oil facilities that the Germans would build back in three days. This is significant damage because these are far more technologically sophisticated apparatuses. And you take out these refineries with it and take out all the facilities for pumping the oil into ships and so forth. And take out the oil itself that's resident at the time, which is a huge amount. That's a different ballgame altogether and you're going to do that with those more sophisticated missiles. You might do some drones on the side to deflect air defenses, but they don't even have to deflect air defenses now. There aren't hardly any left. I love that conversation they had the other day. I forget who it was. It might have been Arachi. Arachi, who's talking about what he was talking about, the damage they had done to...

Or maybe it was the speaker of the parliament. The damage they had done to Bahrain. There's nothing left. And they know where yesterday the head of Iranian Supreme National Security Council said they know where they don't have the locations in Jordan that there is no air defense system anymore. They can hit. There is nothing there. The film. And he had to percentage a little off there too with... He's right on the larger issue that... And you saw this really, you recall, we saw this in the first iteration of our head-seth making the Houthis crawl in the Red Sea. Using two million dollar missiles to knock down a $75,000 drone or other kind of missile. It just didn't make any sense. And the Houthis exploited that rather wisely and smartly.

Larry, do you think that sending Steve Whitkov together with George Kushner after the head of CIA going to Russia? What does Donald Trump want from the conflict, from the Ukrainian war? And or the Ukraine war? Because in the eyes of Russians, as it was mentioned today, Love of Sett, we need to end this special military operation in a way that ensures there is no more Nazism in Europe. It is the idea on the part of Russians. They're basically concerned about a security architecture as an outcome of this war, achieving some sort of permanent solution for what's going on, which is not the case. The eyes of Donald Trump and his administration. Well, if you think about it for a moment, Sergey is a very, very astute historian in addition to being one of the best diplomats I've ever met.

Sergey is reflecting, I think, a very visceral view within the Russian people, not just the Russian leadership, but within the Russian people. About what the Nazis tried to do to them. And it wasn't just the vermouth invading. It was a lot of interaction in and around that that was horrible and killed a lot of people. They, in other words, were up close and personal with death and destruction of an enormous proportion, and they labeled that and with some rectitude, Nazis. We took the Nazis on after the war. We pulled them out of the tribunal at Nuremberg because Alan Dulles thought they'd be valuable in the future, either because they had intelligence on the Soviets that we wanted, or because they had like Verne von Braun rocket expertise.

We accommodated the Nazis. The Russians, as far as I know, didn't accommodate the Nazis. They killed them. And that's a visceral feeling on the part of Russia and the Russian people. So seeing it raised its ugly, not raising its ugly head. Again, they've been in Ukraine ever since World War II. They're still there. They're offspring are still there. And they want to exterminate that. They want it gone. They want to finish done finally. I can understand that. But Trump's game is different. Trump's game is about what's going on inside the United States. Exactly. And I do think there's some talking going on right now. I really do. It may be at a sub cabinet level, maybe even a cabinet level. I can't think of anybody in there smart enough to do this.

But there may be maybe even Kushner and Whitkopf have been given some kind of mandate. But I think what Trump would like to see is what we started out with him trying to get, which was ever a pro-Tramon with Moscow that would mean the two probably most powerful, really oil magnets in the world would be together. Moscow and Washington using that power, we would restore the economic might that we are now losing dramatically now to China. Well, we've closed the door on that by pushing Putin into a fairly compact alliance with China now, along with probably a third of Asia to accompany it. Trump would like to break that up. Trump would like to have Russia on his side as it were and all the things that that means and separate them from China. I think he bought into the Biden version of the Ukraine war a little bit after people got to him and said, that's the way to do it.

The way to do it is to take Russia out and then you'll have China all alone. I think he's backed up on that. I think he's figured it out for himself that that didn't work. It didn't work at all. What we've done is fused in the lives that's formidable. And now we've thrown Iran into it. That's his fault. That's his fault entirely, really. Though I think gravitationally, Iran would have wound up in that camp eventually, even if it worked for the United States, because it's the camp of the few. I think it's a real nature. But I do think they're talking. I think he and Putin are talking and I think they're talking around the problem of Ukraine, but using other bigger possible agreements to lead away into possibly Trump coming back in and helping with Ukraine. I don't know that for a fact. And he's tied up with the election more and more so we come up to just November. I think there are some talks going on. Maybe Ratcliffe was partly in that too. I still think Ratcliffe's main mission was to pick up coffins.

So just to wrap up Larry this session. Saudi Arabia is fighting Yemen inside Yemen. They're supporting the PLO as they call it. Pro is Pro So the forces in Yemen attacking Yemen and there is a new video came out and showing how Yemen is precisely attacking this concentration and these weapons of Saudi weapons in Yemen. But the fight is going on as we talk. Who's who's providing military or I would say who's can behind this operation. Is that Saudi Arabia? All of a sudden they decide by themselves. Someone is helping them or someone giving them some sort of advice is that you know you go there continue the war because they have been in this war. It's been more than a decade of attacking Yemen and fighting with Yemen. They couldn't do it all together. And right now somehow they feel that they can do it by themselves.

We're looking to is doing it before when I was trying to get us out of doing it. We were the principal provider of intelligence weapons airplanes and I think from time to time tactical and operational advice on the ground is to how to do this or do that. In other words we were very much involved in supporting Saudi Arabia against the hoodies. Are we still doing that have we come back have resumed doing that I wouldn't put it past us a foot. Probably so it may be mostly orchestrated by CIA now rather than D O D but it's probably happening. And there are others who might be playing a double game there too. I think first of all and foremost of all of the UAE who were partners with Saudi Arabia originally in this fight and then thought better of it when they saw the hoodies winning and little sparta was getting its ass handed to it. So they backed out of the coalition but they might be back in again because now they're spoiling for a fight because Iran has you know taught them that they shouldn't bother Iran otherwise they'll disappear.

So who knows but I wouldn't discount CIA being there nor SIS MI6 I wouldn't discount them being there on ormissade because in all their interest they think to do this because the hoodies are causing problems and they're in the access of resistance air go. I just don't think that Saudis would go do it on their own. Maybe but I don't think so. They're not ground pounders. I agree. I agree. Thank you. Thank you Larry for being with us today. Sure. Great pleasure as always. Take care. Take care Larry. Bye bye. So you're hopefully on Friday. Yeah, hopefully. Yeah. Bye bye.
