So good, so good, so good. Nordstrom Rack is celebrating 125 years of Nordstrom with 125 of the best deals up to 65% off in stores and online. They're only here while supplies last. So shop today. Great brands, great prices. That's why you rack. And hit start recording. Sup everybody, this is Karak with ACG, and I'm here with Johnny and Silver for the best gaming podcast number. 620, no, 612, 612. Thank you for joining us. Hopefully I'm coming through. Hopefully they're going to come through. Give me an audio check just because we came in hot. Yeah, testing. One, two, good. Go, Silver. Testing, one, two, three. I hope you guys can hear me. Yeah, testing, testing. All right. They're, they're metered out exactly. So if there's an issue with audio, just give us a heads up.

I don't have a schedule for today. I just have the Wolverine discussion because I was out. And then the we're going to cover. Oh, yeah, I want to show resident. I'm going to have to move it around and get it on this video. We're going to talk about controls, reviews, and how well it's doing. I saw some of you guys putting questions as well as topics in the chat, but I didn't get a chance to actually see them today. So Johnny, if you have a second, can you just go and verify any topics? I know silver put some topics in. Yeah, there's also a few things that happened while we took a break. So like you reviewed Wolverine that came out, had a lot of comments around it, and then also the stuff around Hideo Kojima. And his games moving to Xbox. They got the actor who plays Pennywise, right?

Yeah, to do. Yeah, to do that. Be the Scotto. That'll be interesting. Yeah, very. We got a couple of questions there. Silver wanted to talk about Fire Emblem, some Zero Company, some Rockstar stuff, Dragon's Dogma update. Dude, Zero Company sort of like did awesome. I'm happy, man. Yeah. Didn't know if that game was going to sell well, it sold really well. So happy to see that. Better midnight suns, that's for sure. I played. Yeah, very solid game. Couple hours. Yes, like you playing it. So sounds like silver played it. So go ahead and give your guys his impressions of that. Then we'll jump into control and then we'll go to the other stuff. So like what are your guys's impressions with Star Wars? Either one of you can go first. Go ahead, Johnny, if you want. Yeah, sure. I played something like 20 hours in it. I had a great time. It got to a point where the enemies were becoming a bit unfun

because they were big like sponges and they have the the coil enemies have like some slightly unfun mechanics where they can replenish their health fully. They can retaliate on every attack they receive. And then when one dies, it also buffs the others. And there are some cases where you can get pretty unlucky. And like some specific soldiers get buffed and it becomes really, really drawn out to put it to put it that way. And I don't know if it was because I was playing on the slightly harder difficulty and it just got to that point where they became a little bit too spongy for me. But I had until that point, I had an amazing time with it. Love the build diversity you have with soldiers, even of the same class and then the ability to combine classes. So you could just pick one thing from a second class that you really like, maybe like a crit rate and just add that to the

build of your soldier that kind of stuff. I found it really fun to play around with that. And then I just thought overall the difficulty was a bit uneven because for a lot of the game, the game is on the easy side. But then there are some of those encounters with the coil enemies that become like really, really drawn out. So that was my only complaint. But outside of that, I thought it was really solid ex-GOM style game. Yeah, it we've there's actually a couple out once that one came and went and people played it. There was other people jumping in who were sort of talking about some of these other games. And they reminded me of how many there are out there. I mean, there's a lot that I haven't played. There's a lot of these. I'm really happy to see Star Wars do well because I think it did need a push. I think they tried with Marvel and midnight suns is whatever it is. But it didn't hit nearly as much. And it seems this Star Wars one nailed it for a lot of people.

Graphically, the game looks awesome. I was watching some people in our streams streaming it on low end devices and a couple of switches here and there was really all that was needed to get it to look really good. So yeah, that's that's sort of something that I've noticed for the last couple games. I've either reviewed or previewed or played that a lot of them look good even on low settings. I don't, you know, I don't want to say that that's any kind of plan because that doesn't make any sense. These games have been made for four years. But it is it is nice to see where you throw a game on low instead of looking like a, you know, an old logging factory like, you know, with everything all polygon and shit, it actually lighting and stuff look pretty phenomenal. So what about you, Silver? Did you play a bunch of it or? Yeah, I beat it. Oh, good. Finish it. So I did. Yeah, I think the strongest aspect of the game by far is the story. And the presentation, I think those are really solid.

Like the score really, the score and the sound are always like two of the strongest elements they feel of Star Wars games and, and they are here. They hold really, really true to the license. I the gameplay, the gameplay is just was decidedly mixed for me. I the games way of increasing the difficulty when you increase it to the, to the higher ones as Johnny touched on is exclusively just to give the enemy's more health really and to nerf your accuracy. That that's the only way the game really increases difficulty. It doesn't give play, give enemies no abilities or tactics or anything. It's just, it just really becomes more tedious, more so than it really becomes difficult to me. And it feels a little artificial in that way, the difficulty increase. But I do feel like, I mean, the game as Johnny also touched on is fundamentally

pretty easy, especially if you have experience with the genre. The different classes have a lot of build diversity and they have a lot of synergy potential where you can really set up some, like if you actually combine and synergize the different classes, you can do monstrous damage that can one shot pretty much even on the higher difficulties. Even the, like the tougher enemies, like if you are, because you can like chain, you can chain multiple attacks and then guarantee crits on those multiple attacks, which can then sort of escalate into, into extreme damage. We can be pretty fun to do. And there are also different, other different classes like the bounty hunter where you can combine them with like, with the Gonstinger class and basically do we infinite, get infinite attacks almost with an astromech into. So a lot of the fun of the game is figuring out those synergies and messing around with them and experimenting.

And that works really, really well. But once you figure it out and once you sort of get, get moving, it also starts feeling a bit samey with the missions. We're going to be playing a lot on the same maps outside of what are specific scripted story missions. And because of the, there's no fog of war in the game, you always see the map. And so it, it always, it starts feeling very, very similar. And especially with a view towards replayability in the game, I think that kind of hurts it quite a bit. At least it did for me. I didn't really have on my, say, X-com. Once I finished zero company, I didn't really feel any desire to go back and replay it through, through different choices or different outcomes or whatnot. That incentive just wasn't there for me. So I feel like it is a one playthrough game because of that structure.

And that's not really necessarily a bad thing because that will still be what 20, 30 hours maybe, maybe a bit less, maybe a bit more depending on what difficulty you played on. But it's still going to run you a pretty decent, decent amount of hours and still going to be fun to play through and you're going to experience the story or whatever. Characters are pretty interesting. They're not really that memorable, I want to say, but they're also not like bad. But it's just, it's not so anything we haven't seen before really. And a lot of them are pretty cliched like the Mandalorian. Pretty par for the course like every other Mandalorian we've ever seen. Yeah. So yeah, it's a very safe, very recognizable Star Wars product. And however that hits for you, that's going to affect your enjoyment of it. I think for me it hit pretty well and I enjoyed the game quite a bit. But it's like, if I had to rate it, it would be like a solid seven, I think.

Not having fog of war as brutal is what Oregon says. I would agree. Well, not brutal, but definitely it does come back to haunt the games. Long Jeviti, I guess a little bit. Yeah. I think fog of war wouldn't make sense unless there was a lot of talk of jammers and all that kind of stuff. And so maybe they were just like screw it. You know, we don't want to have to do this fiction. I don't know. I'm just guessing. But I think overall again, it's like it's nice to see a game like that doing that well. And it just means there's a slightly higher chance that there's another group will come together that'll make a game that I like the IP more. I really want to. You are also going to get some of the usual junk that comes along with the genre, but where sometimes there are really bizarre hangups, especially with Overwatch. Certainly I had that where sometimes when when Overwatch is triggered, the game will just hang for a really long time. Whether it has to calculate what happens with the Overwatch or whatever.

And sometimes it'll skip through all the animations and it'll just calculate the damage numbers and then you'll see the result afterward. It won't even show you the animations. I had that happen a couple of times. And then other times it'll get like fast forward through it. And other times it'll it'll just like play through them delayed. So there are some sort of janky stuff like there's some janky stuff like that in the game that that is stuff that I've seen in XCOM and other trade based strategy games where they seem to have. There seems to be some kind of issues with the way the get those games calculates those numbers. But you're probably going to see that with this one as well. But that was those sort of hangups were really the only real performance issue I experienced with the game. We got a question here. We have a bunch of questions here. Let me try to find Sony reportedly walked away from Kojima's next game because of costs and scheduling concerns. Why Xbox picked it up which company's taking the bigger risk.

Sony for abandon it or Microsoft for funding it. Nordstrom Rack is celebrating 125 years of Nordstrom with 125 with the best deals up to 65% off in stores and online. We're talking incredible savings on brands you love like Vince Sam Edelman, Rack and Bone, all Saints and more. They're only here while supplies last. So shop today. Go into Nordy Club to unlock exclusive discounts. Shop new arrivals first and more plus buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free. Great brands. Great prices. That's why you rack. I don't think so. Me sticking any risk in abandoning it really. I think they're mitigating the risk. Yeah, I mean, that's sort of what it is. It's all financial. They looked at it and there's been a lot of rumors that this time he is way behind. I don't know if that's true or not. Kojima definitely wants to do a thousand things at once. So maybe maybe that's what's happened. But Microsoft, I think if they're going to go out and get anybody's game, Ken Levine's game, Kojima's next game.

Those are some pretty pretty big gets for a company. Regardless of the layoffs they just did, which I'm sure a lot of people are going to bring up, you know, because it's like, well, you just lay these people off. But I totally get that. But if the deal was offered by Kojima, as in Kojima, went to Microsoft and said, hey, you do have to look at a sort of a known name, I guess. And see maybe what how much has been done and what the plan is. And maybe it fits in Microsoft's release schedule better. Maybe there is maybe there is a competing game on Sony, you know, Sony's working on a bunch of stuff. Maybe there's competing title, which is absolutely, you know, completely normal. Another question between GTA 6 leaks, steam leaks, achievement leaks, stolen development hardware has keeping a modern AAA game secret basically becoming possible. It's become a lot harder when you can aim open AI or clawed at pretty much anything and say, you know, find me a way in or find out data or whatever.

That's what become impossible was the question keeping AAA gaming secret like up to a release, like the information about the game. I think achievement leaks hurt a lot because if you read those achievements or they get spoiled for you in a discord or whatever, there's some actual game data in that that isn't just a major steam achievement leak. Yeah, which isn't the same thing as like, you know, you're the data of a game in somebody server encrypted multiple times. This is just something that where the achievement accidentally leaks. Yeah, I mean it. I mean, I feel like rock stars probably the ones who do it the best, but there's also a huge like internal cost to how tight they run their ship. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it does cost a lot to have good op sec. Next up, and so this one then we'll go to control have counsel simply become too expensive for mainstream audiences, where's the actual breaking point 500 700 900 more.

I think the breaking point is when they show something and then they show the price and you hear, ooh, which is have to see. And that's also going to vary in country like the breaking point in the United States is not going to be the same as the breaking point in Brazil and vice versa. But I think that there is a there is a general breaking point where people are looking at other ways to get gaming. I've stated this before I've reviewed multiple games now on G force now. And then still played it on my own PC, but they offered G force now as well because they know some reviewers can't pay 5,000 for 5090 or whatever it is right now like it's just it's just crazy. And they want them to have the best experience. I do my own systems so that's, you know, not too much of a ordeal, but yeah, I think everybody's looking at that. I think the companies are looking at that too unless you're talking about play stations portable, which the leak for that thing. That hardware that's 2200 bucks.

I mean, I may subsidize it dude, it's like when you look at that hardware and you start looking at form factor and then you look at what these handhelds cost right now and ram and ram now stepping out into 2028 if not 2029. I'm telling you Sony and Microsoft need to buy themselves fabs and that's not a joke. You would you would save if you could figure out a way to get a fab. Let's go to control. So let me adjust this video that I've got for it. It might pop up over the top of it did over the top of silver here. I'll move it to the right a little bit. All right. So there's a couple little mission names in there, but nothing crazy. I made sure it's got some fights and stuff like that, but I figured we'd have some video running while we talked about the game. So it was at 85% for on metacritic open critic. I don't know what it is now probably lower because normally it sort of sets off high because, you know, those first couple videos, whatever.

And then it sort of has a tendency to aggregate down a little bit. I would agree with those scores. I think that there's no. I mean, I don't do numbered scores, but 8590 is fine. I think it's some of the best combat they've ever done. It's certainly. It's certainly akin to control, but I feel like it is slicker than control at times, which is strange to say because the honest truth is I did not think that game was going to be good. At all. I thought the game was going to I wasn't interested in up close combat. I got that impression. Yeah. And so it's been really cool. We went into our group discord and everybody popped off their reviews and they were like, dude, this is the game is just a blast. One issue that does pop up is way later in the game. If you play it, if you, especially if you're doing a lot of the exploration and battles to get to places and blah, blah, blah. There can be times where you're like, OK, it's right at the raggedy edge of maybe too long of a game. Like, it definitely can pop up there. But the pure like visceral, just fun of smashing a bunch of guys and watching things just explode around you and being able to move around really fast is extraordinary.

I'm curious though, because as I recall, you didn't like prototype very much. Now everything I've seen has basically made it kind of look like an updated, enhanced prototype almost. Yeah. And how we placed. Yeah. Yeah, that's too long ago for me to remember anything about how prototype. I didn't feel like prototype controlled very well. And I can say this one does. So maybe that was it. But that's that game so long ago. My brain doesn't even remember if it's what to be talking about. It's it's just quite enjoyable. And when you look at control and you look at their universe, it does a good job. It may not be as in depth in some of the arcane stuff because everything isn't a room away. It's like a building away. But it switches that out with the ability to get in the battles and flip the world around. If you run on the ceiling, run on the floor. Yeah, that looks insane. It's beyond belief. It takes a while to get there, not a while, but it takes a couple hours to get that. And then when you do.

It's just awesome. It's very hard to describe how awesome it is to aim up to a, you know, like the floor and attack a guy there and then look at the ceiling. And there's a guy there. And then in front of you, you think is the floor and you kill a guy and he falls up and you realize that it's a trip. You'll kill somebody in the gravity will like shoot them a different way than your brain was telling you and you'd be like, wait, what? Oh, shit. I'm running like a snipe. Yeah, I'm it is. I'm running up a hill. And it just when it comes to pure fun, like just fun. The fun factor one out. The story, you know, Dylan, I won't spoil much Dylan and Jesse, you know, their story is in there. His story. His story, I think his voice acting was way better than I expected. Cause I just didn't know how much and how the dialogue system was going to work. I think the dialogue system is way better than I expected. It's a little mass effect with the with the circle. But some people have a cool tendency to return to a subject matter that you can talk about again. And it feels pretty natural.

Is the janitor back. I like whether he is or not, I don't know if that's a spoiler. Okay. So yeah, I think I've kept really quiet on like even the bosses. I only showed what they showed in the trailer and even then I cut some out. Cause that was like, this is a game that worries me a little bit because just mentioning the characters there means it can close off an entire line of thought that somebody may have about what's going on. So, but I will say, I will say people do come back and people new people are there. So there are some returning faces for sure. And I don't just mean like Dylan and Jesse, but yeah. And then I love the fact that it feels like the old house just vomited its innards outwards. Like that's honestly exactly what it felt like you wake up your release. They're like, hey, basically, you're the guy who can kill everybody with a wet fart. You're going to help us save everybody and you're like, all right, that doesn't make any sense. But you want out and instead of Dylan being like this emo.

You know, you did me wrong kind of thing. He's, he has really pented it. He's really like. He's really not subservient, but completely absolutely knows what he's done. At least that what he's done is really bad. He doesn't know exactly what he's done because he has an amnesia thing that goes on for a while. But I just love that. I love the idea that he's like, dude, I'm here to help fix whatever I can and find my sister. So you have the reversal there. And it just it worked, man. It worked. It's so nice to be surprised. The last time I was surprised like this was probably Guardians of the galaxy where I heard that was rough and turned out and looked rough and tried to get out. I've heard the difficulty is a bit weird. Is that true? The difficulties completely variable. So no, I would not say weird. You can change the difficulty to anything you want. There's sliders for everything. So it's very very doom style. The last doom where you can speed. I actually liked it a little harder, not a ton harder, but a little harder with less damage to the enemies and more to me because that made me dodge more.

That was fun. But then it became really hard because some battles are tough. Bosses will leave out of the discussion. I mean, I said in the review a lot, not a lot, but a couple I liked and a couple I was like, OK, you know, this is it's more spectacle than it is. Yeah, the dark souls thing and which I'm actually very happy about. It's more about looking cool and having a cool story. I don't mean quick time events either. I'm not saying that, but it's more like near automata. In fact, a lot of the game is like that. And I was I think I might even in the review. I don't I fucking just record. So I don't know if I said this, but if I said something about devil may cry. It does remind me a little bit of that with the whip weapon. It's one weapon you can choose. But the big thing is it reminded me of near because of the movement of the character being so slick and so fast. And then the ability to just sort of launch and move around and feel like you're in control. It just it just really was a enjoyable experience. It's nice to see it and see it review well.

Yeah, I think it'll probably be with sales success. Yeah, I think it will. I like, you know, honesty. I think a lot more people. This is the one like you guys were more or not you guys, but more people I know were excited for this because it was up close and I was not at all. And now that I've played it, I'm like, okay, I see what they were doing. It's more of a superhero game kind of. Yeah. A little bit, but it's just again, even a superhero game up close. I just there was. There was something about it where. I don't know man. I don't know. It's hard to describe. I think it's just because the kinetics of everything feels really good. And not a ton of moves, but a good number of moves for each weapon and stuff like that. So my hope is it does well for them financially. My hope would be that for pretty much anything, but I think with this game. Yeah. Also running wise. I'll say this. I didn't get to play the consoles. I played on the PC. If you ray tracing once again, ray tracing is just a bugger.

If you crank it, even if you have some of the settings low and you crank ray tracing, it'll bring a card down in some areas. There's a specific levels in this game with a lot of stuff going on. I'll just say that. That's when you want to have the best control. And because the FPS is more variable in those places, even though it was usually above 60 F4K with most things on ultra, there were times where I was like, God damn it. I can feel that there's something really variable in this. It's going up and down a lot. And I went and checked and we're talking 25 frame variance at times just by what you were looking at. So what I did was I turned ray tracing down one step and instantly it was up above again. So that's it. And it looks great without ray tracing. That's the other thing hats off to those guys. Same thing with control without ray tracing. Look good. Those guys know how if they take their time to make a game look awesome. Regardless because they're sort of artists that have a really good idea of what they're making and what their world looks like.

And it looks fantastic with everything on low. It's just yeah, it's just absolutely awesome to see that. And I hope we see it more because nobody's buying a 50 90 anytime soon. So. Right. I mean, and what you said earlier about like the ability to run some of these games in lower spec systems. It's pretty big for people now because a lot of people are still running on older cards because they can't really get a hold of a new one. Yeah. Yeah. It made me really happy when you were talking about like reminding you of near or devil make right like how fluid the combat is because that was my biggest worry when we saw the previews you know if it's going to be a bit janky or unresponsive. It's really not going to play great right because like you're going through these buildings and everything. And yeah, I just I love to hear in your review like how happy you were with like how it plays and stuff. I think that's such a big deal. The only Jank.

Oh, good. Is there a counter system in the game? Not in the way that you would expect it's but there is a there's a thing called it's not revenge, but it's like or vengeance. It's not your bad. Yeah, there's there's and then what happens is it when you do so you'll see it in video. You'll see a person like slow down for a second and it'll it'll do the you know like the slow motion for a second. I got first of all I got to say when on the harder difficulty, I would personally do that on purpose so that I had a bill a second to think because when there's a bunch of guys and guys can shoot you with lasers from super far away who are really dangerous in this game. Especially if you have the damage turned up the ability to like make a slow enemy attack you so that you can stop time for just a quarter of a second and go. Okay, I'm going over there and then everything's back on the speed is honestly not just on accident because they have a couple settings in there that increase that damage on count not counters.

I don't want to call them counters, but on the on the dodge away and attack. Yeah, also I think with some of these guys that one of the nice things about not really having counter in the way we think is a lot of them are fleshy. The enemies and I don't necessarily know how some of these guys would work because they attack you in some weird ass ways. So I'll just say that some blobs and like some weird shit dude. There was one time where I was like I died of jellyfish poisoning because I have no clue what just killed me and I was like looking at a lot of the creatures going this is a weird idea. Now we're not talking about the hiss and stuff we're talking about well we are for some of them, but we're talking about just in general. There are a lot of enemies that you're like not 100% sure how this guy is going to fucking attack me. I mean you get attacked by buses that are demonically filled with dead passengers. Now the bus has got no arms or legs. It's just dead passengers hanging off the side of the bus that's on fire because it looks like it's being dragged to hell and they're screaming and you're trying to figure out like how's it going to attack me and then when it does you're like oh yeah of course that's how I should have thought of that, but that kind of stuff you know with counters and things I think they did a I think their idea of just this character being dodging being the best.

I also want to say I like this weapon more than I thought I was going to the aberrant which is this shape shifting I mean I called it sentient the review and somebody called me out on that that's actually correct it's not sentient it's more given power by the board but I call it sentient just because it transforms into what he wants. Yeah, and it's transformations are fucking their wicked their wicked like I mean you so here's what here's what's weird about this. When you attack somebody with your sword or your axe or whatever on the sword in particular you attack and if you stop attacking he goes like this and instead of a blood wipe with a katana the entire blade falls off and a new one grows and I was just like okay that's interesting but then when you're fighting and you're fighting. And you have a special power you can detach it and it turns into four blades and four circling drones that go around you spinning but it's all from that blade and it was I just thought that was really cool the idea of having a hint that something might be possible by him flicking the blade off and it's cool because you be in a fight and be like you can hear it go like ting ting ting behind you and then and it grows back another one you're like wow that's not what I expect.

Yeah and they they look cool the attacks the side I think might be my favorite even though most of my footage is the sword I assume I didn't put in because the other stuff I oh no I did put in a little bit but yeah so yeah just overall great game I'm glad to see it it looks like it's reviewing well I'm seeing most people given it a seven or above which that's about normal it does look to have scored around what control one scored I think somebody was saying that they were wishing that they were going to be able to do it. So I think those guys would finally have a above 90 game true for like critics but I think even the ones I saw that were a little bit more down on the combat or a little bit more down on the story especially the starting when you're like hmm I think for them even they were like it's just fun which you know is one of those things that is very hard to sort of quantify I tried my hardest by talking about like the way it's like I'm going to do it.

I felt but maybe I didn't even do a good job. Yeah just a phenomenal game and also is it I saw just got that question again is it in my game in the year list first of all I don't do games of the year second it's up there is one of the more enjoyable games of this year for sure I would say one of the most fun that I played like fun factor yeah just fun. It's really I yeah and I like control I'm gonna I mean I like the universe I've liked all the way I've liked the only thing did it have stuff like the like the text you would yeah find you know like the original control like yeah yeah there's a bunch of there's a bunch of audio logs there is a bunch of like I guess you call them files that you pick up by the way yeah some of the worst some of the worst security I've ever seen for documentation in my life like they'll just have a guard post with laying around with some dixie cups and yeah and and some buffet there that they got from

somewhere and they'll just be a folder on like a supernatural entity now admittedly it's redacted but you're looking at it going that's sort of weird yeah need some more enemy variety too many abstract tumors well just so you know the I mean you still have human looking enemies too but you'll probably see more of the tumors because frankly you know they're different looking enemy and people I think sort of just like that so I wouldn't worry about it too much let's see what else for control good price good about like oh yeah go on that was about no what were you saying I was just curious about like the weapon variety because I saw you can put your points in different you know skill trees or different weapons or abilities you cannot lock and stuff like that it seemed pretty deep it's showing how it's mid level deep I mean yeah I guess it depends on it's mid level deep I don't want to sell it too much on that you have your primary and then your secondary weapons and then you have the ability for many of them to have their finish or combos one thing I did like as the finish or combo can stay as a different weapon even if you've switched

weapons so I have a finish or combo that was the sword thing you like and you still have the combo I was attacking with the hammer and I ended the move and all of a sudden the sword part came out I was like oh that's actually wicked because how many times when you switch a weapon does one or two of the moves just never get used because you're like oh this isn't you know this is not something I'm interested in then you make items in the game world that can like give you bonuses as well you have character a big not big a nice media character skill tree nice I don't want to like you know sell sell it up to yeah it is not the back style or so yeah it's not path so yeah voice acting music is phenomenal just yeah just a fun time man it's and it is long yeah it's or I mean it is long I will say that there were times like and I got a little late so I was like oh I'll stay up today and then I was somebody who's reviewing it was like it's about this long and I was like okay I

staying up a lot later than I thought yeah yeah it was a meeting game yeah but I appreciate getting the code it was yeah it was it's really fun to see that game you know like review well I hope it's I hope it sells well yeah that would be nice this is the one this is the run this is this is the one that's going to do it um let's see what else do we got Wolverine Wolverine from the good to the not so good so I thought Wolverine was okay I did rate it away for sale but I guess I didn't say that in the review which is typical I got to be stronger on that I told you was funny some people were super upset because oh I didn't see because you because you didn't like stated at the end yeah yeah but the context was pretty clear and if I say wait uh for this to drop in price by $10 people say you never said a you never said a score and I was like well it's wait for a sale because that's 10 you know it's just a wait is um they want those exact words because I do put those on there so yeah that's that's that's a that's a rightful complaint but that's a

wait for a sale you know there were some fun parts to that um it's just that that is a hard game to pull off man I think if you reversed it and Wolverine came first and then the Spider-Man games I'm not saying this exact game but it's a different story and the fact that the going back to linear is tough from an open world because it just feels really constrained even if it's not as constrained as it may feel there's some cool parts to it there's a lot of nonsensical stuff to make it a game which is Wolverine not the game Wolverine you know I mean nuclear blast goes off he lives through it all kinds of crazy shit happened to that guy so how do you kill him in the game you know what I mean like how do you kill him now yeah I would I would have just said we have a special type of bullet that's like kryptonite for Wolverine it's called unobtainium or impossibility him and it will you know it can like kind of mutate power neutralize compound and they do try to do some of that but they don't really like you know hammer it in very well but yes you know if you're looking for a cheaper if it's on sale and you can run around and stab some people

it's in charge for me the big the big red flag for that game like story wise was when I saw Jean Gray in the trailer the show because as soon as you like introduce Jean Gray into the story I think you have a massive problem especially with a video game that's like introducing Superman like on a power through that yeah yeah yeah because that immediately raises all sorts of questions hmm yeah I mean any given scenario that she could just easily overcome oh why doesn't she just mind why play every one there why doesn't she just take flood or float Wolverine all the way up there why does he have to climb why doesn't she just that and the other right she could do a hundred different things as Jean Gray as Marvel girl right I think the big problem is that Wolverine himself already has a lot of those and then you had Jean Gray to the mix right suddenly now you're stuck with a lot a lot instead of there's no real get out of jail free card um I did see people

that we're talking about not being able to now admittedly I didn't try to die so I can't I can't I can't to test to this but I saw some video people dying on the motorbike by crashing into stuff and then I saw people not dying on the motorbike I don't know if that's a health kind of thing I tried to actually play but it is a good it is a good example of difficulty levels if that's what it turns out to be being pretty um lenient for low which is what we saw in forza where enemies are not enemies but other racers would just crash and you know at the end of the race and you would watch them just crash on purpose so that new comers could win so that's a real thing that should definitely be fixed but yeah there were some good parts just didn't hit it's not days gone days gone was shit on day of release this is just sort of a average game I saw a lot of people who are just like this is terrible no no there's terrible games that's not even in the list of terrible games it's in the list of it could be for a lot of fans disappointing that ain't the same as terrible and

underwhelming or underwhelming yeah and that's not how it works man that's there's a reason why those two words mean dramatically different things so yeah I don't mean so many people view six or seven this terrible scores yeah yeah you can blame reviews for that because they weren't using ones and twos and even I got shit for using never touch because people are like are you harming the developer and I'm like I don't know but I'm saying this is not even worth getting for free so deal with it you know it's going to be yeah yeah the real behind me first yeah yeah they're the ones who you know they want real feedback so I mean supposedly yeah but yeah that's Wolverine in a nutshell just a okay game yeah I think as a brawler you know is that what you would call it maybe like a yeah yeah you know smash your buttons have a you know shoot the shit have a good time I'm enjoying it in that capacity I think also because I had the right expectations I knew exactly it was going to be that instead of the big open world yeah you know sprawling situation so I'm pretty okay with that and I like what they did with the character I thought you know the guy forgive me I forgot the name

I think right right yeah so I thought he was pretty good in it has a very different version of Logan compared to a Hugh Jackman which I think is fine I think that's the way I would prefer it instead of like trying to emulate it and I thought he brought something cool and unique to the character the game is very polished you know I enjoy getting the suits and stuff I'm always a sucker for that so I think there's a lot to like there as long as you kind of take it like you know I think it lightly and definitely feels like steep for like full price I would also say like hey you can pick it up on the sale I think you're going to feel pretty good about it you know just have a good run in it yeah yeah I mean there's people who just play call the duty for multiplayer people who just play a call the duty for single player some people look at single player call the duty and go that campaigns terrible other people like the America fuck yeah the same thing goes with this some people are just going to want to play because we'll bring it already sold 1.5 million copies not that bad I think they break even it two or three and when you look at it it's like that looks like it'll do it also the fan now

fan reviews skewed much higher because it got trashed that's sort of how it goes by some but I wouldn't say that's any indicator of like anybody line I think sometimes it can just cause somebody who did have a good time to leave a review if they feel like it was unnecessarily smashed by people I do feel like there was a bit of a hit piece at times somebody brought up to me there were like do you think any of these reviews are based on the physical media discussion and I'm like well I would love to tell you I would love to say no but just by looking at reviews and what people mention in a review where they're like this is also the company that blah blah blah you know they should have spent that there's a bit of that sentiment there's a bit of that sentiment which is an interesting point I don't think it raised it a point or lower it but it's interesting that yeah it's obviously on people's minds and that's you know it's possible to color your mind in that way Nordstrom Rack is celebrating 125 years of Nordstrom with 125 with the best deals up to 65% off in stores and online we're talking incredible

savings on brands you love like Vince Sam Edelman, Rack and Bone, All Saints and More they're only here while supplies last so shop today when the Nordy club to unlock exclusive discounts shop new arrivals first and more plus buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free great brands great prices that's why you rack it was a bit bittersweet that I got this game in physical because it was a bit cheaper so I got a sale on it and I was just thinking this might be like the last physical game I buy outside of Nintendo stuff yeah well outside of Nintendo stuff then it definitely won't because Nintendo is probably going physical for the next release too oh yeah I'm assuming I mean hopefully I mean I live a place in a place where I can't really get physical Nintendo games anymore for the switch to oh really yeah well then you just sort of moved forward before everybody else

um let's see what else do we got? the cutting edge well yeah you're just you're earlier and everybody on Wolverine that's it for Wolverine really yeah just uh just an okay title um yeah disappointing but such as life what else do we got didn't wasn't there another one that uh Silver had played we were gonna talk about the fire emblem yeah would so yeah so what's going on with fire emblem Silver do you dig it well I mean to be honest I can't say say that much yet because it only released yesterday so I haven't had that much that long with it but first impressions are really good I have to say like engage the previous one was um sadly one of my biggest disappointments in the in a video game probably in the last at least five years I would say um I just I could not digill with that game's art style at all I played like two or three hours

went away and then I never came back to it um but this one this one is a lot more like traditional fire emblem it's a lot more grounded um character designs look really look solid um graphics are beautiful um the popping days from three houses are gone are at least my first impressions um and I mean the first immediate positive impression I had which is a revolutionary change for me for fire emblem because it addresses one of my biggest pet peeves of the entire series is that um basic attacks are no longer consumables they no longer affect your ability of your weapons that's big um that was a huge issue for me in fire emblem throughout its history is it gets very finicky with inventory management because your basic attack would degrade your weapons durability and then you would have to to buy new ones and then for all of your characters you would have to like buy new weapons in bulk

and then you would have to equip them in a bulk and there was a lot of finicky inventory management that came about as a result of this and it also sort of led you to not because the better weapons tended to have less durability so you tended to not want to use them as much and so I what happens to me a lot with um like a consumable items happen to me often with fire emblem which is I hoard all of the high-end stuff and then I end up never using it and I always just use the cheap basic stuff um but um but now in um in fortunes we've uh basic attacks do not affect your weapons durability at all your special attacks do so using special attacks will drain your weapons durability um but yeah basic attacks don't and for me that's a huge huge positive change and that alone is enough to to make it uh one of the better fire emblem gains a right out of the gate to me um I'm really interested to see what they do with the characters I'm really interested to see how that ties into fire emblem systems um I'm curious if there's

going to be a return to I mean one of the biggest aspects of fire emblem with the bond system was always that your characters could have children I like to come about as a result of um of the bonds that they formed and then those children would inherit skills and traits from their parents so you could basically sort of start a kind of eugenics uh program to make create your own like super soldiers um by matching the right people and the right skills and whatnot um which was sort of a part part of that bond system and matchmaking system and the older fire emblem games that sort of died out um and hasn't been in fire emblem for years now I'm not sure if that's going to come back with fortunes we've it doesn't really seem like it fits there because they had some problems at uh making it believable uh like in the older fire emblem games like in awakening it came about because your the the children of your characters came traveled back in time from the apocalyptic future to save their parents and then in another one

they came in from a pocket dimension and so they sort of strained credulity more and more to sort of explain how how you were fighting alongside the children of your adult children of your characters so I'm not sure if that can fit in although this game does feature time travel uh forks as we've somewhere be they'll fit it in that way um but I've also heard that romance is going to be uh less prominent in this fire emblem games so that so that's also possible so yeah it'll be interesting to see how they built those systems how you can play with them um what character bonds are going to affect now uh how they affect the plot or the story if they do it all um you can freely move around the different stories this time so you don't have to do like four different playthroughs like you had to with with three houses you can do everything in a single playthrough and freely move between progression between each of the different characters yeah you can go back and affect um um and yeah it's uh so far uh the tactical gameplay solid as ever so far um and yeah so my initial

impressions are definitely good definitely on uh definitely a strong entry into the series I think very important question can you take them out for tea like I don't know yet I haven't been able to yet but I would expect that there is some kind of there are there are going to be social hangouts for sure um I've seen some semblance of that and some of the gameplay footage uh Johnny are you getting it I'm not sure yet I didn't like the last one very much at all wasn't that the bad we house wasn't engaged the bad one it was kind of the bad one yeah yeah some some people really liked it but I yeah I didn't like the presentation and everything in it but uh yeah I think I mean this one is being reviewed so highly yeah everybody yeah that it has me intrigued for sure yeah also don't know if you'll be able to um to uh use the touch screen again the way you could with the old DS versions where you could touch the

the characters when you were social with them and had were encouraged to in some instances which is I'll just leave it at that uh which was kind of a star uh what a very I think very Japanese thing a little bit a little bit of fondling yes yeah I didn't know that was or at least I didn't remember that that was a thing that's crazy um well how much is that by the way is that full 69 or 59 79 do you know how much that is that that's full price I think it's a full 80 oh yeah it's Nintendo damn yeah it's crazy what else do we got John A so do you want to talk about the Hideo Kojima stuff well he he moved his stuff to Xbox he talked about his two games a bit yeah we can talk about that or we can talk about bloodwalker did we cover bloodwalker it's been two weeks did we we really didn't yeah I think would be great I've been playing that I liked it okay that's

my coverage what a job done we're done what about you what did you like I first of all I came into it thinking I would dislike it because the directional combat I was kind of not the biggest fan off from kcd although it was good I just you know I struggled a bit yeah yeah but for some reason in this game it's it's very intuitive it's very fluid it kind of felt like for a minute one I just got it you know and then the more you play it the more you can add layers to it for example in the beginning I was only worrying about blocking directionally but you can also your attacks can also be directional and you can have bonuses like where you do more damage when you uh interspersed like different directions and stuff like that which was really cool and lots of stuff like that that you unlock and make the combat more uh just more enjoyable adds layers to it

but just the foundation I felt so so nice you know so fluid and then the story is very good I was impressed I was really following the quests you know there were some high quality quests that took a while to to kind of flesh out even just one single quest kind of like with a beginning middle and end like good structures interesting consequences depending on maybe if you choose one thing or another as well and uh good characters man you know the protagonist is really fleshed out really good voice acting and some of your uh the people you interact with like the the lady NPC also very well created like the character it kind of all makes a lot of sense with what they're going on and it's a cool premise you know you're out there to rescue your family you have this time limit that in some ways doesn't really hold you back from doing anything you want

which is cool it's more of um it makes you decide do you really want to you know spend your quest time on this thing or or not you know that kind of thing I thought it was a cool extra I'm not convinced by the fact that when you level up certain skills you need to pass time as well I thought it would have been better to just have that tied to quests but that's kind of a smaller quibble just overall I'm really impressed with what they've done with the game but just feels good to play and and has just very good quests the reason why I like to the time burn on the on the skills is because it's when you start getting more and more powerful skills it feels like it takes time to train it or learn it or meditate it and get it so I bought it into it but yeah I can see where it coming from but it doesn't matter man because winers have caused them to already state that they're probably going to remove it from the next game oh man yeah see because I thought it was such a unique thing

I yeah I liked it I really enjoyed it yeah they ruined stated decay for me they'll ruin this for me whatever but uh well they won't ruin it for me I played it but you know the sequel will unless they put something on there um it just it was such a downer because I knew people were gonna complain about it because there are people who just are so bent on like I need to be omega I need to be able to do with every single thing even though it doesn't make sense at all in the story and when the game is there saying it's such a big deal that the decisions you make need to be poignant and this is how we've decided how easy it is to see really a small decision from a big one and I loved that you know how some games will say you need to gather your party uh or you need to make sure you're done exploring in this area that always seems so dumb to me you need to but this it made sense it was like this is gonna take a while to clear this rock wall so people

can get through it it's gonna take a while to do this it's gonna take a while to do that and uh yeah yeah you know in a game that talks about 30 days it's weird to spend 300 days worth of game time and most games it is exactly what you do we we always mock games because you have this big goal of saving your family but at the same time you're going out there and spending your spending endless hours seven NPCs you've got your children and you're like oh yeah there was a kid poisoned in the village that I forgot I'm gonna go clean that up yeah so it's cool that that's in the forefront you know it keeps that goal kind of front of mind I also like day and night suits different different clothing for day or night and they boat some work like garlic works great during the daytime but then during the nighttime it's you know you don't want to have it and it was like I didn't realize that yeah yeah it was like dude that's a good one that's fucking ace yeah I love that little idea of of like changing not just your abilities and stuff but uh but like the items that you may have

and then I liked how some of the weapons because of the way that were shaped or whatever had particular attacks that were easier um I will say that game could be rough though it could be hard I watched a lot of people playing that and dying a hell of a lot of times especially with the enemies that will do the sword game behind that or get stuck well yeah no that's that for sure I'm saying the sword fighting because it is like kingdom come and so that one guy's got the blade where he'll swing at your face here and then it go around his own head and swing it you from here and hit you too and you're like wait I've never seen that before yeah well except for of course kingdom come so I thought that was awesome yeah good game good game I genuinely had a blast I thought the story was awesome uh just surprise sex a couple times or not surprised because you sort of know you're trying to get sex but then when it happens it's you got to remember to turn your stream off we had people in discord going oh shit yeah don't happen to me on street and I was like okay got down yeah okay it wasn't even face to face which I thought it was

gonna be and then he grabs her and he flips her around throws her over the bed and I'm like wait whoa wait and then he puts his head down I don't even want to say what it looks like he's eaten but anyway yeah I was like man some streamers are gonna get uh yeah like a little bit surprised by what goes on it I think there was a streamer in our streaming group uh in discord who even stated that they that one of the videos had got taken down and I was like man that sucks because it was it sort of a surprise not a ton but enough that I could you may think it's not gonna show boobs but it shows everything it's like Merry Christmas yeah also I love some of the bosses in that game that aren't the main four there's a lot of like I guess you call them like mini sub bosses in that game or named enemies whatever you want to call them that were really cool especially a church or the nunnery did you do the nunnery missions oh yeah yes yeah it was very cool man dude when that shit started happen in the nunnery mission and when I finally like got to the

point of the fight I was like what's going on with this character man like this character's lost it and then it just goes more and more and I'm like oh shit oh shit oh shit we're fucked yeah when you find out what you know yeah what they were up to or what yeah that was dude it was all we well done it was that was great like that and also another game you can walk on the walls and I got to admit it's fun in that game it looks janky as shit so the different trees it's super janky different tree remedy and walking on the walls and that is not yeah yeah with not just to spare a fun yeah but there's times where I would leap off a wall in blood or Don Walker and do like a 360 on the axis of the belly button and then slide over and land on like whatever whatever surface I was supposed to land on I was like damn still think I should have gone for Don Walker instead of playing Prague Prague moda first but Prague moda got insanely good reviews so yeah it's a very fun game

yeah I mean I haven't pray it came and went which is weird it really did come and go but in that two weeks that that game had released there was I mean there's a lot of people saying that was a great game so I don't know why it came and went maybe it's just one of those ones that just pops in as like an emotional event and then goes away I think it's just a saturation of games these days that that's I think that's a lot of games to just to come and go yeah the cycle is fast very fast thank you Steve five dollar super chat thank you very much for the super chat just popped in have no clue what y'all are talking about but here's a coffee stoked for fall weather and fall games dude yeah fall weather so my couple days talking about blood of the Don Walker yeah talking about blood yes fall we've had a couple fall days so far and it's been blessed it's today in fact it's raining outside and so it's so nice he says got it thank you yeah late late summer early fall is my favorite time of the year yeah not Wolverine not Wolverine yeah Wolverine doesn't fight some chicken at church

but yeah man blood walkers good I mean yeah we're getting a lot gothic remake did really well as well like I know a lot of people who enjoyed the shit out of that I think I thought it's going to be janky and it probably is but overall it still seems to be highly highly intelligent if it isn't that would be a betrayal yeah it just be got it be goth if it if it was all if it's all fixed up but no it's gothic yeah I watched Jay play it and I was like who this reminds me the old days die into a rat because you can't swing the sword right you're like oh yeah it's old coded for sure yeah yeah did you get it too did you get gothic as well I didn't know I watched but you watch it for some time it was fun to just watch that yeah like games with that kind of freedom it's cool to see him yeah this is kk blaze what's up sir good day gents just finished break moda loved it I'm not sure if it was on purpose but a ton of the hacking puzzle interfaces were straight out of war frame that's interesting I mean I can't even remember hacking me again I can't either and I

but I barely played war frames so but I like the idea that hacking well I didn't like it I was intrigued by the idea of break moda's hacking but I didn't like it's been nearly 10 years since I played war frame probably I mean let's age ourselves it's been seven years since control yeah that was what I wrote I wrote in chat when you said that in your review like bro out yeah I was looking I got it and he's like it's been they talk about it in the game and I was like yeah winded because it felt like controls two or three years ago maybe three years ago yeah and then it's like seven years and I was like no maybe four yeah I was like no that's wrong for sure and then I went and looked and it was right and I was like oh for fuck sakes man like the woman from Titanic it's been six years but yeah but I but she was saying like how long she waited I didn't feel like I don't know I know it's true it feels like it does not feel seven years ago a few years and it looks good no that's hell too so like they you know maybe that helps right I mean somebody was posting pictures

of red dead two and you're just like dude this is ridiculous like there's this wide dispersion of how good a game can look but when you get those primo games that are like max paying three yeah yeah it still looks good um you could DLSS five max paying three wonder what that would look like probably hell oh let's see I heard the new on amusha is really good too yeah I've heard that um I played I played a couple minutes of it is very easy but yeah I played the demo and I also found it was on the easier side they did say like hey takes a bit for the combat too that's cool and I love in difficulty if it's stayed easy or easier and then you know maybe by the last boss it's hard that would be fine too like like I just say that was that's all I came out of it with was it's a sword game I'm attacking people with a sword and it was easier than a lot of other games where you attack people with swords so that's as far as I got

I kind of like that you know not every game needs to be the but clinch you know like souls yeah 100% in fact it's ridiculous if they are right that does it feels arbitrary if they're just all difficult or all these for a parry game I thought it was one of the better like parry systems probably that I've tried um we got a question here about Blizzard so I saw the afterwards I saw the videos and that some of the discussion about what they announced Blizzard brought back Starcraft is a big narrative shooter instead of Starcraft 3 is that a smart franchise evolution or an admission that AAA publishers no longer believe RTS games can justify massive budgets that's actually it that's actually a good point what's the blister that came out with they came out with the announcement that there is going to be a Starcraft shooter yeah oh yeah which Starcraft Ghost was what 15 20 years ago when that rumor was out so I've always assumed they

were gonna do something at some point I did expect an RTS um I also not saying this is true I'd like to see RTS development budgets versus a shooter I do feel like they are lower um so I don't know if that's true or not I'm just talking out my talking to my butt right now but if it is um maybe they'll do both I don't know I think that depends entirely on the RTS I mean total war has a significant budget true for yeah for RTS um I mean that's probably like the highest end of the AAA scale you're gonna get for an RTS presently is probably total war yeah yeah that is true thank god it isn't Sekiro oh no thank god it isn't Sekiro had me raging hard on some bosses yeah yeah and then there was wow or wow forever forever wow forever it's been forever

it has forever like perfect that's a good name because you look at wow and you're like I say that a lot when I'm talking to friends man wow has been around forever so hey perfect naming um I didn't follow that one very much lucetin tried to explain it but I lost interest about six words into his description so instantly yeah he was writing some stuff because I made a mistake lucetin's like me we get into something we're excited about it talk your ear off and we were in chat in voice uh not we were in voice chat but he was texting and he said something I was like well what about and then it was just like video video video video yeah and I was like here we go I was like Jeremy you just made your own bed I was like there's nobody I can blame there's nobody I can blame and by the way I love when somebody's that into it it's just sometimes it's hard um let's see call a troll okay I was like is that he says praying for access to a warhammer 40k beta big damn hype they sent out surveys oh okay yeah they did oh cool yeah so which one of the 50 games is that is that the is he talking about

the total war the 40k yeah total war 40k yeah I just know there's so many games in that series I wanted to make 100 yeah I talked about the right stuff uh Starcraft coming in 2030 this long delay between announcements and releases getting crazier each year yeah I mean we also you know I mean we had what last guardian which was eight years I think it's getting crazier I don't either really I think the big games maybe sometimes the big games wouldn't announce early but I think no problem forever yeah forever someone took your name yeah really that's crazy dude that's it's not the first time that's happened there was a time when we were given out a game um on the stream and I think because I maybe I put it in Twitter or whatever we had a bunch of people in here who were copying everybody's name you know hoping that like that would give you a higher chance random is random your sons of bitches I suppose that was an Xbox forced announcement um for what I don't

know what that means um anyway moving on from there I got some more what do we got questions in the discord and all parts oh we do have another question yeah sure we got this one go you want me to go go for it this one from the bug guy hey boys newly married so I got to shout out the misses who has to listen every week with me braille yeah I'm gonna listen damn damn she's a huge resident evil fan and this new movie immediately got us wanting to play through the games again we think at this point in gaming Leon Kennedy should technically be iconic if there was a line up of all the current generation iconic heroes in gaming what would that line of B think play station all star braille now now it might be harder just because a lot of like probably have I would choose trade-offs would probably be there right yeah yeah good one man

Nathan Drake no he's he's to he's he's not really relevant anymore not anymore same but same same was same with the same Fisher really yeah do we have like big protagonists that's what I say in the charting because I feel like if we go with if we go with current it's we there's been sort of a shifting of many good games with okay protagonists and then the very very occasional game with a really grabby protagonist I'm trying to I think I think a loi probably counts as well right she's also PlayStation though yeah yeah yeah I mean I'm a Geralt yeah I mean that was I mean now that they're releasing another one I guess but yeah yeah yeah yeah we're going all the way back and then we go all the way back

yeah we're going to master chief Marcus Dom yeah you start talking about you know fucking what's his name from ninja gaden guidance gaden um you have high boost up right yeah yeah so like at that point and then Tekken probably has one or two that people think that's the thing with gaming right now is is it is it is it's probably the most iconic high out you probably it probably and it is so big now in gaming that like I could name a character that's known by millions and another person there is a very high chance they have no clue what I'm talking about or if they do it's tangential and they don't you know there's just a lot cloud oh cloud yeah okay yeah I mean he's got to come back right now yeah the remix yeah yeah Marcus there we go oh yeah you arguably less less iconic than some of the NPCs in the game yeah Joel from the last of us would Joel be on my art's

Paul's tell you with Joel if you can keep him on your side he's probably the most useful out of all of them yeah he's Andy the guy would get FIFA the guy get get T find out I don't really instead of close I don't really think he's iconic Joel no no man I do I don't think he's really a branding figure branding figure yeah that that sort of goes with the word iconic for me maybe not mainly you put him on posters and yeah super chat drop 50 500 drop 500 drop doich no I don't know what dop is hey guys started late but we're also getting DLC for dragons dogma two and crimson desert yeah true dragons dogma two that's gonna be exciting this hell yeah I've been I've been playing that because we got the big update here we're starting to September yeah I had a bunch of new changes like bunch of performance fixes the game runs smoother

than ever now you now have more skills you can slot in you have six skills in all you can slot in now where previously you only had the four yeah you have an eternal fairy stone so now you can fast travel as much as you like if you want a fast travel wine and there's more people wine and yeah it's so funny because I started recording my playthrough and when I got the when I got the eternal fairy stone I actually did use it and that was the first time I'd ever fast traveled in the game since it released for like what is it two or three years since I think it was towards 2024 right so it's crazy since the two and a half years since it released I haven't fast traveled once that's nuts I had never used the fairies though and then yeah and then crimson deserts getting more stuff all the time excited to see like overall what what's gonna come

of crimson desert success actually I'm very excited to see what they're gonna do I think they're engines good it's got some issues but I think overall their engines really good and it's exciting to see like another developer come in and push fantasy makers including like CDPR and all those guys is they're gonna have to you know up their game or you know maybe not up their game but figure out ways to to make it more interactive or what have you so it's gonna be cool to see. Regario says sub folks definitely getting control resonant yeah it's awesome control resonant is one of those games that like if you can deal with a little bit of junk it's fine soul sleeper 60 dollar super chat gents been a while just ordered resonant after your review heads up to the EU peeps the new revision of the switch to with the replaceable battery doesn't have a B E W screen had some hope but same screen latency and blur new a new screen he wants to say oh I'm sorry I'm sorry I read that wrong I thought B W was a slang for like you know back electron white screen new fire emblem is ace though

as well thank you very much for the super chat appreciate it so sleeper yeah dude I know I'm driving yeah glad you could join us it's been a while for us it's been like three weeks it's been crazy around here oh yeah so people are asking I thought I posted this so I think I put in I think I tried to have like my sweet send out a tweet that we weren't doing two weeks ago and I guess it didn't go out because the PC died and then to get it running I or to get that it tweet out I use another PC and I guess I didn't hit the enter button so we didn't tell anybody we weren't gonna do a podcast that first week but yeah well I got that fixed and then last week some stuff came up and it was just impossible and I was like well just take two weeks two weeks vacation which we've never taken two days in a row it's pretty rare I mean no it's very it's zero it's zero rare we've fucked up a podcast or I have sure yeah always on me but yeah we have never once gone

two weeks in a row but now yeah unfortunately we did but we are back and uh should continue forward that herpes yeah yeah sometimes you go into remission a little bit you know sometimes that she gets deep into your cells and it just sleeps for a while and then it comes back angry or never so it might sound like I'm talking from experience but I read a lot of science books and it's terrible so you don't want it don't sleep with random people don't even sleep with anybody I just saw some number on that which like 60% of people have it or something like that like dude that's not all prostitutes you know in the old days it'd be like it's all prostitutes since you guys started kind of late today already worried we wouldn't have a podcast for three weeks did we start late I thought we started right at 10 30 okay well sorry sorry well I guess sometimes we go early you know Alex says this never late your thoughts on silent hill townfall yeah that one is gonna be I am super excited for silent hill townfall because it is different and I understand why other people are looking at it

going I don't like where they're going with this so I'm you know from what I've seen I really like different for that game in particular and I felt silent hill f was pretty different there I mean you know it's just a silent hill game but there was enough going on different you know style game that that was playable I actually really enjoyed silent hill f I think a lot of people didn't but I don't remember I mean I think reviewer I think as a whole it's well liked but I think maybe the faithful of silent hill yeah it did okay but it wasn't as like popular as silent hill to the remake yeah because of course you have somebody say why are we doing the same thing all the time why did we do something different welcome to game development yeah any thoughts on more dogs so listen war dogs I've given it many chances not saying it's bad at all but my desire to play war dogs has gone down because I have unfortunately watched over eight hours of people streaming it in our discord

and this is not hyperbole this is backed up by multiple people in the stream with me without a shot so good so good so good Nordstrom rack is celebrating 125 years of Nordstrom with 125 with the best deals up to 65% off in stores and online we're talking incredible savings on brands you love like Vince Sam Edelman rag and bone all Saints and more they're only here while supplies last so shop today go into Nordy club to unlock exclusive discounts shop new arrivals first and more plus buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free great brands great prices that's why you rack I was there for some of that time people were like flying helicopters and like crashing helicopters crashing and then just repairing the helicopter not joining the battle and flying back and then three or three people learned that they could do that and then three or four and then four or five and then six or seven and by the time we were done we had eight to 10 people streaming that and nobody was firing a gun now I'm not saying that's bad I'm just saying I like what I've seen of

it has been difficult to parse I've watched some streamers online and I've gotten unlucky and they're always doing something incredibly boring so I don't need shooting all the time I just need to know the offset between the shooting and the other stuff that stuff looks pretty okay so I just need to see some more shooting and I've been busy reviewing games and other life shit so the big problem for me with the control resonant I'm not gonna have time to play it I know so I have I have fire and blim now I have um warhammer three has the big deal of order the boards at the end times geo c coming out to the end of the month dragon stagma as well and that's all probably gonna keep me busy at least probably until GCI I would imagine yeah yeah it's absolutely nuts but when it comes to the switch to both you guys have one or just Johnny yeah I have one okay I got it one of these days I got to pull the trigger on it but there it still

hasn't been I've been really happy with a lot of the ports I've been seeing very happy because those are pretty much the the overall presentation I would want and the level I expect and they've been doing very well so I've come close I saw outlaws on there and outlaws been patched up in fact outlaws is one of those games that I'm not saying I would ever do this but you could re-review because they did change some of the things that were so negative in the for you know they yeah I don't know if they fix the AI but they definitely fixed a lot of the like the failed failed states yeah yeah yeah yeah and those instant fail states I just want to point something out I think a lot of people don't and they don't understand and it should probably be in context when there's an instant fail state whether it's good or bad if that's removed or in a game it's not just the fail state that's the issue it can be the run up to the fail state it can be actions you have to take prior to going into the mission so what happens is then you start seeing the bad stuff again

so to give an example if there's a fail state in a mission and you and you're you fail just by being seen so let's say you get five fail states because you're not accustomed to fail states and you're like oh this is weird I'm failing instantly that means five other times you're running maybe pass the same NPC that looks goofy or the same mistake in the game so things compound dramatically when there's unexpected oddities in a game and I think you're the same enemy the same wall or yeah yeah and you and you run into it or you just get really tired opening a crate or opening a great to get through a door and Batman or whatever and at some point you you know you've died enough times that you're like I just don't want to continue you know it's yeah and it popped up in that game but yeah for the switch two I'm excited to see I mean they've been doing really good ports man really excited yeah they also getting a dragon stock mature for the switch and we're getting dragons dog mature for it dude that's awesome yeah also 100% double dipping down dragons on my two there we go Resident Evil 4 R remake and monster hunter wilds for switch two monster

hunter wilds is coming on a switch two or is it already out yeah I believe so okay very man that's awesome they had this game called orbitals come out and it's it's like a co-op you know dedicated co-op game with friend pass you guys probably have seen it it has the anime style that's how you played so did I oh yeah I watched I watched the stream for about 11 seconds and was like this game is not for me yeah okay fair but I did watch it's really interesting you know because it has this kind of frame me yes it performance right yes it does probably saw that yeah but it really looks really charming I think if you can get kind of past that element because it looks so yeah like genuinely animated I don't know I really found the animations enjoyable the puzzles are fun they had some cool like rhythm ones where you had to like you know follow rhythms with the other person

and that kind of thing really fun to do the only problem dude when they ask for specific button prompts and they're giving you the Nintendo buttons they're like press why I mean are you high-wire for the Xbox exactly and 50% of the time I'm pressing the wrong button man but but it was great yeah yeah play play Halo and then play Gears of War when the when the buttons are oh my god it takes a full day to get accustomed to like what a what a bumper button does any thoughts on a new switch to controller no didn't know that one just finished playing outlaws for the first time and I enjoyed it much more than I expected to that's cool yeah yeah I think that's been patched up I was never bothered by the like woman I'm not bothered by women protagonists it's just a game you know I mean there's aliens in there there's a little tiny by the way I remember this entire physics discussion around her knocking a stormtrooper out which I understand he's got a helmet and I was like

we're bothered by that but the little tiny animal that weighs like a quarter of a pound is doing shit that is so physics like debased so broken dude it was so it was so transparent on that game it was so true and now I do with the I thought the facial model looked way different they really it really just did not look like that actress that's neither here nor there in fact if you didn't know what the actress would look like then you you know that wouldn't be a thing overall that the discussion around that game was weird like just really fucking weird man god damn that game was also pretty janky when I first played it frame rate wise there was a lot of frame rate issues in some play well not a lot but there were some frame rate issues in some places and hopefully they optimized it but Elden Ring 2 on switch has been surprisingly great damn I'm also still so cool that when you ever you say outlaws I think back to the switch game the shooter yeah damn yeah

on this real picture yeah I was definitely one of my favorite shooters when I was growing up I don't I think I just like that back there are you Marshall where you are back then just the cel-shaded look or it's not cel-shaded but whatever it is but the different look of it not trying to be like everything else you recommend DLSS DLSS S5 yeah it wasn't so but it did have the animated I mean like full throttle style cutscenes that style animation never played so you're on a full throttle never played full throttle that's that's a game I could go back and actually try I think in fact red streamed a remake of it a couple years ago yeah yeah it did do a remake yeah yeah that's cool that's very cool what else we got in chat atola rock and roll uh yeah let's see oh I wanted to bring up the steam frame got released did you guys take a look at that or the data did or the reviews did one of the two one of the three yes like one review of it yeah yeah some of the reviews dropped

and they announced the price which I believe is around 1200 bucks if I'm not wrong for the base edition of that and you any of you guys excited about picking up a steam frame no especially because it didn't jump up so the old ones are very close to it if not some of them being above it in it's in the ability and the delivery and the picture quality no yeah I'm not spending 1200 just for the I don't even know what you'd spend it for also the ecosystem plain and simple there that if you guys think normal gaming is having issues with layoffs VR isn't even just laying off people those companies are just evaporating because it was already really grass roots for VR a lot of developers were like six people who got together put an LLC together to make a game and some of those games are the games that people consider some of the classics but they didn't make a

ton of money or they delivered it in a different way and they're gone you go to the VR like Reddit forums you go to like the VR development forums and people they're just nobody's talking about it man there's a wasteland it's a wasteland yeah and I think maybe you know at one point it would have been 1200 for the steam frame and steam machine so if you think about that if you think about 600 600 now you have sort of a home machine that can do VR on the side plus the VR helmet itself you've got sort of a a nice I guess you would say somewhat nice PC in your living room that can do some VR friends come over blah blah blah but now you're talking about each one costing that or more or close to it yeah you know so yeah I got it wrong by the way 1200 is the one terabyte edition it's about uh 1500 for the 256 and you wouldn't want a 256 I mean sorry probably not if you're

if you're gonna do native yeah probably not I was thinking what they did with the Wi-Fi though I don't know if you saw that but they you know they have a dongle that uses a different band and then they can also use your Wi-Fi band to complement that and always get the package as fast as possible yeah I do have a question I was thinking of selling to have a wireless headset I use a PyMac stream air for flight training I mean dude here's the thing there are a ton of headsets out there a shit ton and most of them cheaper than that so I don't know you do you um I also have the same dongle style extra router that quest was it quest or was it one of the companies also did a extra dongle and my router works better so but the extra router is nice if you want to like get that signal

up and out of the way of other signals or you want to put it in your living room or whatever because you can connect that to a USB extender cable and you know you won't have any interference or something like that which is always nice yeah what what one does have that I have a I have a dongle specifically for it came with the headset dude I have so many headsets now back in the day picos still the best deal yeah pico is beyond belief the best deal but I think deals wise and just general VR this is that yeah 100% I was thinking back when I got my pico 4 it's still really good really comfortable to this day and place well has like good wireless good battery life it's a great set and I think it's under half the price of the steam frame yeah I don't know like current prices but like when I use it's probably less like yeah yeah so yeah the pico is I have headsets out of a much higher quality I have a pie max one of their brand new ones I have a big

screen I big screen too oh yeah the big screen looked awesome yeah and they are but the pie max just works and or sorry not the pie max the the pico pie max works too but the pico and it it's just easy android even the developer super easy hack yeah you just tap the bellicore seven times and you throw your own APKs on there and now with clawed you could make your own game you'd make whatever you want as an APK and upload it you're so I mean there's crazy stuff you can throw it in there yeah well you can make your own movie player if a movie player isn't released on your headset that you likened it allows for APKs you could easily make a movie player out of just whatever clouds got in its in its ancient brain and fucking upload it and have your own movie player on there so side loaded in I paid 300 for a barely used one I think they're talking about pico that's cool yeah we'll just have to see I think VR is in dire straits though like is just yeah

and in fact picos not pico a VR seems like it's sort of in a place where they're they sort of are selling to a knowing audience they're like they're gonna make headsets that are better they know most of its racers or flight sim guys or or what have you and that's okay instead of trying to drive the entire process forward um you know half-life Alex two would have been a sign that valve had some I guess you'd say some confidence or investment yeah skin in the game maybe yeah yeah and instead you know they split it between the the steam machine and the steam frame so and that's their choice nothing wrong with that I'm not I mean I would love to play Half-Life Alex two but I'm not like one of those type of people who's up at night rocking back and forth thinking about fan fix for Alex characters uh let's see what else we got here Capcom revived on Amusha and immediately found a huge audience why do you think some publishers are hesitant to

revive dormant franchise I mean we all know why because the allowed contingent will also not want to play a remake a remaster I think old remasters were worse too where I feel that we're getting better or developers are getting better at remasters yeah they're putting in more especially good capcom is like remake good yeah yeah and Ubisoft nailed it with Black flag because you know Ubisoft was watching Capcom going okay we got some new games but we also have a bunch of these games that are ancient as shit and what if we reignite somebody's desire to play Assassin's Creed games by giving them a game that maybe they didn't play because maybe they got into gaming after Black Flag it's not that crazy Black flag was years ago um I would love to see one and two be remade because they crunch his shit now man there's some NAS oh yeah they're they're like when you get older and you see your uncle for the weird human he is that's the way

Assassin's Creed are they're the old memory they still look great of course but when you finally see him dude you're like oh don't let him around the kids man that guy's gonna cuss or tell him a dirty limb Rick or something like the games are just rough man especially one which I remember watching that first preview of one or trailer and being I think Jade was first showing it I was like damn this game looks sweet you know and now you see it and entire worlds are popping in um I think I think there's a number of reasons I think reason number one is you look at the Shangren you go is there any money here yeah true so if it's like uh if it's um you know a point and click event story point and click adventure franchise like Broken Sword you probably go no there probably isn't a whole lot of money here um this is probably more of a niche thing um and if the other one is uh legal issues maybe there's some kind of legal dispute over the trademark or very true whatever or the um licenses in some kind of limbo where nobody's sure who actually owns it

um because outside of that I mean that I don't think they really have any hesitation to take any um grant and and use it for remake or rebrand or whatever they need to if they feel like they can make money from me I saw some data that showed that spider man uh remastered was 90 million for making that so yeah if that's true and those are proper numbers which I mean you get a big staff together depends on how quickly you want to done that kind of stuff I would say that's a lot of money also 90 million is not a small amount of money I mean yes 300 million for some games whatever but if you not a lot of studios not a lot of studios can just jump into that yeah um yeah does control resonance has dual sense controller support like adaptive triggers so they told me it did in their paperwork that we got for that um but I cannot tell you if it does because I did not use the dual sense in that game I used Xbox or uh mouse and keyboard

so sorry but yeah there was some support stuff for it that I saw I haven't used my dual sense well I used it last week on something and I'm Wolverine I guess for Wolveric God I was so insensed by the battery life on that piece of shit oh man dude and that game is not very long and I think a charge of battery twice and I was like fuck you man just Jesus Christ and then I always have an issue with that not wanting to charge on some chargers so like plugging it into the PlayStation which then trickle charge or it feels like a trickle charges it I don't know yeah again I'm not saying I'm right on this same thing it feels like that yeah for some reason yeah no I have a couple where I'll plug it in it charges phones charges tablets charges everything charges the same you plug it into the PlayStation and that thing's like nope nope nope no no like a little fucking pet-illent kid man um but yeah I mean I think the biggest the biggest reason we don't see franchises like we see so many dead franchises with the company like EA is just because they don't

see any money in those franchises yeah yeah that's that's in the that's in the executive level when you go to the executive with a franchise like syndicate right which is a big one and you go and say I want to make a terrorism simulator where you run terrorist organizations and you do terrorism across the world basically um actually and this executive probably isn't likely to go oh yeah for sure we're we're definitely gonna do that that's that's a lot of money there it's a great money maker yeah yeah they go oh maybe we could make it into a shooter which is what they did of course with syndicate um but yeah I think that's that's the primary reason um so here's a good question and I have an answer that's probably a hot take I guess but I don't really go on Twitter much anymore but does Xbox is distra digital idea mean and meaningfully improve ownership or we still just converting physical games into licenses that's exactly what we were doing I don't know I pretty

much I did about it other than the convenience of not having to use that disc but I'm sorry yeah I don't see it as like something that's I mean it's it's a it's an option and I'm not going to complain about an option but I don't see it as any part of the saving physical or anything like that that's it has you are literally you are taking your disc and turn it into a digital yeah like that's yeah and people say like is that is that holding it if your hard drive dies or what have you know it's not like there's it's all it's convoluted it that doesn't really connect to what you know saving physical games what we're gonna say no I think it's nice right yes nice if you yeah if you sell your game the other person can activate it that's also nice I think it's well thought out in that sense but it doesn't give you doesn't do anything like you said for like the physical games movement you know or resistance I guess it's gonna be honest Johnny this sounds like the same

system that they tried to sell us in the Xbox original when people were mad about it because they were talking about being able to save licenses for your games your physical games and then everybody through a fit and they were like oh we're not doing that I don't know how much work they had to do it feels like they already had a system in place and they were just like they had it cooked up we're in this discussion and you know blah blah blah um yeah so yeah it's it has nothing to do with the actual like thing that we're trying to figure out which is physical games in the future coming out new um you know yeah so it does it meaningfully improve ownership no because you already owned that disk if you bought it and you can sell it does it meaningfully make it easier sure but does it also change any of this physical discs are going away thing no yeah I'm assuming Microsoft's gonna have a disk drive but I think that's just because they assumed other people are gonna have a disk drive I could be wrong on that but they already stated very clearly they're gonna have the premium

device like they like their system super powerful premium device it's like why wouldn't you just if it's 50 or 60 to add it and you already had it planned put it in there and fight your competition that way I don't think it'll help them I don't think Microsoft has I don't think Sony or Microsoft have a lot of cloud but Sony still got more than Microsoft Microsoft's burned so many bridges that it just it doesn't matter I just think Sony outsells them anyway Sony could release you know that's a pretty small thing I you're not gonna turn yeah you know or at least console wise I don't think I don't see any scenario which I expect outsells either do I in less I they had a higher chance when they had all the companies before the layoffs they had a you know because they've got output and they tried some stuff which I lied them for because we all bitched about it which is in the past it was always triple a big games and then they get double fine they get all these and they don't sell and you're like what do you do at that point now you're just dragging along something that like didn't work out I'm not saying they're bad games I liked

a watcher was that the what was the lighthouse one keeper I liked keeper I didn't I didn't try kill but I would have had them working on psycho knots instantly I would have I would have been showing psycho knots off a long time ago actually I would have been like dude this is the time to do it but yeah they didn't take advantage of it let's see that's it for those do we have any questions in the normal just funny to me that people are so obsessed over the fiscal media thing because to me the the real stupid stupid decision Sony made was was really going away from PC and like pulling the PC port for for a ghost of you you know what is it you know tight yeah yeah and whatnot like that seems to be to be to be completely as a nine in terms of like long term strategy yeah whereas at least I can understand the like that that's been in the cars for a long time and been been part for the course for PC owners for like half a decade to a decade at this point

so but but like that that's that's the one that I have that I struggled to wrap my head around that they did this year where it seems like there's still caught up in it old ways of thinking well and I thought they sold well but I can't remember if they said it or if if it was a financial thing well I mean the big the big thing is also that that I mean the big thing is that even if that when they do sell of course they have to pay off for the business to steam true also right yeah yeah true I mean 30% some numbers for people who don't numbers well is only 20% away from 50% which I know that sounds we all know that but it is psychologically crazy that people are still taking 30% man that imagine you're more gangster no it's also more it's also more than 25% yeah there you go more than it would be and that's the thing you buy a pizza right yeah dude it's not man yeah it's it's absolutely a crazy amount of money to take from a person because you put a

fucking J pay up of their game like even if you're server number if you want to pay him for server amount downloads you it can't it's nowhere near gonna be 30% per sale like that's ridiculous man yeah they need to be raked over the coals no one's gonna do it because Valve can't do anything wrong in fact people are like oh well they just want there there I was talking and discord and some of you're saying that the reason why the steam machine and frame came out was because Valve knew the RAM issues were coming and wanted to release premium devices at that price point to make sure that the audience was prepared and I was like dude that Stockholm syndrome holy shit like you just what the fuck is going on he didn't even make sense when they said it I was like dude I don't know what you're trying to explain but you sound like a plant you sound like you've been planted by Valve in my discord damn damn um let's see that's that for news uh I got some deliberately spicy is asking

if studios can launch successful games and still lay people off of furlough most of the team what does success even mean so yeah let me add this to another comment that I think is a very smart comment that feeds into this the change has occurred in game development where the success of a game on sales cannot pay for the multitude of people in the gap between those sales so if you sell January 1st of 2020 and then your next game is January 1st of 2025 and there's no money coming in other than your sales which let's be honest they're not all GTA most games sell well for a while and then peter out it can be quite difficult if other things raise if price of insurance is raised whatever to where you can't foot the bill for everybody now I lived in a time when 50% of the team

was laid off the day the game came out that's gone away well it had gone away and now Star Wars is a good example they they furloughed that team um right when it came out it's I I feel like the big thing is the time between we need to figure out a way to where games can come out in a shorter time frame and not lose the quality we expect which is I don't even know and then now people don't want you to use AI so and I'm not saying use AI for generative I'm saying just use AI people are like even if you code with it I'm not going to buy your game so there's this social stigma that comes with using anything that augments I in fact I saw something crazy I don't know if you saw this but a developer accidentally admitted that in uh what is it vs uh what's the stand for on PC vs vs code vs code they were they used an AI to like look over their code and tell them if there

was a bug or helping with a bug and which everybody does now which it's so established yeah yeah crazy I mean you might as well if you're like hey is this run and well and you can give me some whatever anyway long story short it's like using spell check in word when you're reading pretty much yeah yeah and people and by the way I'm not saying all people but a large contingent of people absolutely attacked them and then I saw last week a developer posted on Twitter and they said hey I just want to thank everybody for the comments about the AI voice in my game my wife who did the voice just wants to say thanks she appreciates your comments haha and because everybody's an AI expert like everybody thinks that because they've opened up chat GPT once or twice and I'm telling you I know what I'm fucking talking about when it comes day I am working on it all the time and you have no fucking clue you can tell if it's AI for the most part and I went and listened didn't sound like AI at all so you just have these jackass and that's not

the first time by the way we've seen it many times where that kind of stuff has happened so yeah sucks Rogerio says LMAO no vow tried to make something got screwed like everybody else by the prices and had to raise it too yeah exactly yeah yeah yeah yeah I'm sure they wanted to go lower of course maybe eight times yeah I mean you'd want to go as low as you can by selling as many as you can and then drifting the developers by three zero percent which again more than 25 percent and almost 50 percent sorry I just that's already percent is fucking ridiculous no it's mafia numbers man it's mafia numbers dude we can see there was a credit card company I think it was old old town bank or something like that that was that was had interest of like 25 percent interest is different of course but it was crazy how the world just was like how dare you and there were even comparisons there were like if I if I put something up and somebody just took 30 percent out it's either taxes

or the mafia and I'm like well they're sort of the same thing but technically yeah that's ridiculous and I'll stand by that yes I know it's valve um discs two get damaged over time two discs two get damaged over time two and every game needs an update now and a lot of it are written and a lot of it is already software too yeah bro that guy likes the word two yeah there's a lot of two in there discs two get damaged over time two and every game needs an update now and a lot of it is already software two so good so good so good Nordstrom Rack is celebrating 125 years of Nordstrom with 125 with the best deals up to 65 percent off in stores and online we're talking incredible savings on brands you love like Vince Sam Edelman rag and bone all Saints and more they're only here while supplies last so shop today going to Nordy Club to unlock exclusive discounts shop new arrivals first and more plus buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free great brands great prices that's why you rack

yeah yeah no it makes sense I think what he's saying is this helps you not get your damage your disc damaged if we're talking about the digit that's true the physical the digital yeah yeah or physical decay and whatnot yeah yeah of course my DVDs do have actual disc rot I have some old DVDs when I was buying a shit ton of them oh yeah dude trying to play like 90 and I swear to you less than six plate it was ridiculous yeah yeah it was ridiculous but no I understand I understand hey listen like I said I'm not gonna bitch about an option but I'm also not gonna sit here and hype it up for anybody sorry I know if you're a fan if you're not a fan whatever it's like that's not my job is my job was to lie to you I tell you that I don't know I tell you something and then be like I need you on patron yeah I'm gonna make some money from it I wouldn't be like I'm gonna

lie to you about fucking physical versus digital let's see what else do we got oh real quick on the fizzant from Kojima right so that's moving to Xbox yeah they had like some issues with the financials of that project and Sony I think they decided to just cut ties with it do you think that I can move the needle on the Xbox you know selling more consoles no with with the excitement for fizzant and O.D. Just stranding didn't sell great it sold okay I think for one and then okay for the other I could be wrong on that but like not Kojima numbers so I don't know I think Kojima I don't I don't see how it magically it depends we don't know the game. I mean the the espionage faying with the male key or solid connection you could definitely brand that into something yeah you could sell that that could that could snowball for sure but

I don't think it's gonna move that much I mean there's also just so much there are so many unknown factors with that game like the extent towards which is it's a vanity project the the reality of the production and yeah I mean we're not going to be able to tell one way or need the other until we years out from now yeah you know Microsoft has made it clear some of their games are going to back to exclusive to we don't know exactly what ones but I mean we saw four as a horizon sell you know like hotcakes we've seen ground to do well see a thief some others split and do I'm telling you right now if I was Microsoft I still don't care about Sony I would go to Nintendo feel like how do we get because I feel like there's there is more of an overlap this gen then there wasn't prior gen with Nintendo and Xbox fans I just think that that would be enjoyable to see that mix with Kojima it is what it is we have to see the game I mean desk training was critically and

it's I feel like fan base loved but it was loved by the people who like that weirdness because it was very weird and that weirdness is directly why it doesn't sell 60 million poppies you know I don't know what it sold but I'm God I feel like Sony or somebody released they said it was on the low side right low side there to expectations yeah yeah thing with Sony and Kojima is mostly timing people hate them already and they just keep giving more reasons I think also it's money because I don't think they would have held Kojima to any standard if there wasn't a top down idea of cutting what you can now because we may end up having to subsidize consoles in two years or you know what do we do if the project was already over budget and yeah there's still early you know so yeah yeah I don't know I like this branding too though so like I'm excited to see there's the horror

game OD remember he was working with Microsoft on that too so like I do think that he's so interested in all this other stuff that maybe that's the problem is maybe it's very difficult for people to like track him down get him to work on one thing you know like he seems like he wants to do everything I mean yeah yeah yeah a little bit of everything is like what he wants to do I think the honest truth is he he does want to direct movies I don't know if that'll ever happen in the full sense of whatever but he's got another actor for this one and it's Pennywise what's his name scars guard yeah yeah yeah so yeah he really does make games kind of like movies as much as he can he'll throw well yes I mean he has a major celebrity fetish oh yeah he does he does he's a super fan it's which is fine it's funny yeah the way he said it is that they were mutually fans of their work

yeah so him and the actor which I thought was interesting it seems like with him it's always down to some kind of yeah either he's a fan right and then like gets to know the actor I mean in a way it's really smart networking well I mean it transcends actors I mean yeah two of the biggest parts in deaf stranding are Guillermo del Toto and Nicolas Vining-Ryfen neither of whom are actors they're both film directors yeah yeah right I do I think it's a lot of just really smart networking and I don't mean that in a bad way that like there's no friendship there there is friendship there I'm saying that there's like a situation where you look at it and if if I could get one of those guys in if I could get Tarantino to act in my game I would because that name means something yeah yeah I have them sniff girls feet and you know for me it's an act of act of detriment to I for many people it is for many people I've heard it because more than

than I've heard people like it pulls me right out of the game to see Guillermo del Toto on on Nicolas Vining-Ryfen in those roles because I don't see the character I just see Guillermo del Toto while or Nicolas Vining-Ryfen there or mass reasons of that matter yeah it's a bit like having Frodo yeah where where it works a lot better for me with rock stars approach with getting actors who are tremendous actors still but are relatively more unknown yeah starless says love how Microsoft as money of a sudden must be a great feeling for all the people they've fired in studios they close they had a special case of break in case of Kojima emergency cash um so let me explain something if you have 500 people in a game development company and you're paying their insurance that you are you're outfitting their buildings and you have a bunch of people there who are all taking in wages or you are simply taking on the publishing rights to a game the difference in cost

is dramatic they're they're not really comparable if Kojima comes to you we talked about this earlier by the way I think prior to the podcast but if somebody comes to you and their names Kojima maybe Ken Levine maybe one or two others tops um there is a different idea that if they come to you and say we we are in the game we are making the game yeah you just need a publisher that is way different than can you buy us they got their own operation yeah in a way right yeah yeah completely completely different situation it sounds the same and we think about it like that even I do when I first see it I'm like man that sucks but it is a different situation and it also means you won't see more future buys or future changes from companies just because they lay people off I mean I've seen EA go through massive you know sweeping cuts and then well and a lot of companies they bought and then those companies were thrown into a giant cemetery in the middle of nowhere EA's got to

still be the grim reaper right even still more than Microsoft yeah I think EA's the grim reaper well didn't Sony also close Sony's closed a bunch too and they're still they're still like you know going out there and getting deals for stuff didn't Sony clue they close know that EA is the grim grim reaper anymore is been are you sure wow since they really shut no I mean oh sorry sorry I'm in total I'm in total with their lineage of like all the bullfrogs and all those companies that they bought and shuttered right I just feel like in total they're still like maybe they're aged and maybe we hold it against them it maybe I hold it against them but yeah they were the grim reaper for a good 15 years of my life where I was like company get hired I mean they were they were the big bad for for very long time for for a lot of people isn't it crazy they were the big bad now they were bought and now there's rumors that they made they might see success dude what a weird

world yeah what a weird world vapor for blood says yeah I'm tired of celebrities and games for one it's ridiculously expensive and it just keeps seeing Kiana Reeves not Johnny Silverhand I even hear is dodgy British accent from Dracula in my head okay none of that none of that happens to me but it I think that makes sense yeah you could definitely and I think a lot of people feel exactly the opposite where they feel that Kiana Reeves adds a ton I know a lot of people think yeah I love people as Johnny Silverhand yeah so like and a lot of people love Norman readers in Death Strand very very true and sometimes it does work it's sometimes yeah but I think there's definitely a hurdle there do you know when it doesn't work far cry six let's get the guy from breaking back yeah and fucking have him fly off into never never learn from you Jesus Christ yeah what a waste um Starless says is it just publishing or are they financing it partially as well because obviously Sony felt they're going to have to spend more on it moving forward correct neither company

knows what the other company's spending on something if they haven't allotted 20 million to spend further Kojima and Microsoft has 35 million Microsoft can't buy Kojima's title until Sony drops it Sony dropped it so it doesn't really matter what the amounts are Sony dropped it and Microsoft decided to pick it up it's the same way when Microsoft's dropped a company and Sony decides to pay for exclusivity the exact money amounts don't have to be interchangeable it's the fact that one if if you drop something out of your car that's worth 200 bucks and I pick it up it you you lost 200 I didn't pay anything and I still have it I mean all those kind of transitions they're they're not equal financially you can have all kinds of different situations pop up in fact there could be deals that are way different Microsoft could have a deal for publishing that maybe Kojima needed maybe technical testing maybe you know you just don't know um I did hear they lost to the decimal engine though due to this switch which right that's interesting well we don't know

if they lost it we don't have they lost it we know that it's so it does belong to Sony yeah so the question is will Sony then license it out or whatever right really be allowed to keep it or whatever and that's also by the way separate from this deal meaning most likely he made a deal with them that no matter what pup you're dropping me you're dropping me Sony made it clear we're dropping him so by doing so to keep a good relationship I would seriously doubt that they didn't have a deal that says for one game you can use the decimal engine for this game that you're working on you can use it we're not going to artificially penalize you just also also you would imagine that Sony still does want the game to come out on their platform and Microsoft wants it on PC and console and Sony doesn't want PC so Kojima going to Xbox makes total sense if he's like I can double dip I can go on console and on PC now in Sony's demanding we don't do PC he may even want to do PC now as a lead

platform we have no clue there's just all these kind of PC PC was his main moneymaker for deaf stranding because um true the PC releases for deaf stranding Sony didn't get a cut of that that was a pretty much exclusively Kojima and and and valve and yeah with the 30% yeah 3 0 30% yeah we're not letting that go yeah um I will say also decimal engine is the fucking bomb the bomb that engine is incredible and he has that dialed in so like that's the other thing that I would love much like the rage engine with grandfather of Thorough and stuff back in the day absolutely dude yeah initially the whatever magic he's done with that engine and sometimes the goof goofiness that goes on or whatever it's it's its own feel it's just like well like you said with rage or whatever GTA feels different than pretty much every other open world game they put this thing together of different hodgepodge and they've created

a not just special thing not just GTA but I mean still like Max pain 3 yeah shooting in that game yeah no shooting like the actual shooting the the physics of it and the animations in terms of body movement and stuff is pretty much still unrivaled do you really love Max pain 3 yeah it's an action game yeah it's just you mentioned a couple of those things yeah no I get it yeah I've been I returned to it like a couple of weeks ago and was sort of impressed by how well I still have thought yeah yeah there's a lot of old games also also the the the modern SSDs really help with the dude yeah but being able to skip through the cut the loading time cut scenes now one of the things that I thought was amazing in control um we've seen instant switches I don't want to say we haven't but I love how quickly you can go to the this hub world in resident you just hold down on the digital pad and just zooms in he collapses and then stays up and boom you're there

and I was like oh that's fucking awesome and by the way you be soft hey I love some of your games you make the worst fucking menus no demand true no demand there is no many more snap your dude let's get rid of the slow fade they're like on the old videos on youtube where they had that giant introduction of like ACG before the review yeah that's that's old school that's old school we don't do that we don't need it anymore uh game with passion says Max pain 3 is the best action game ever made wow that's a lie fuck I mean maybe at its time we I actually know I'm joking about it being a lie if the only game called max pain 3 is in that category max pain 3 is the best action game ever made for sure I think there's better action games I think if we're talking action shooters if we're talking after action shooters I think it's definitely up there it's up there yeah I don't eat the best game yeah uh reflux refluxo records says I really like max pain 3 but I think as some of the

worst pacing I've ever experienced so that's a common complaint that I understand a lot of people struggled with the like especially also the caught scene presentation and stuff like that so I understand yeah also it does sort of also the way it it switches between max and Brazil and then it's flashbacks to to new jersey and stuff like that yeah I was messing with DLSS 5 DLSS 5 yeah and uh looking at old games with it and man gotta admit I'm less the face thing is neither here nor there because you can turn it off what I was interested in it really improves a shit ton of older games that like had issues or have issues with their color work or have issues with shadows and stuff like that I was messing around with it and I was like damn I was playing Far Cry 5 and I did the version that now doesn't cut performance in half anymore they they switch the buffer so it it only does the DLSS 5 on the last frame doesn't do a prior and or after the or

before the upscale sorry and man like that was insane like playing Far Cry 5 I was like oh shit that does look like that is a massive difference in how it looks all right nice so that was fun yeah I've messed around with a couple games on it um you know performance wise it used to require a 50 90 in addition to a 50 90 it required 250 90s the game played on one DLSS 5 played on another now it plays on one and it was cut in a half then they then moderns fix that or improve that but here's the other thing a modder actually made it so you can run just the neural networking part on a different card and it doesn't cause an issue that is absolutely nuts so if you have a lower level card in your system that's 8 by and you have another 8 by that's like or that's like your 50 90 or whatever the 50 90 plays the game the neural network runs on the other one and you don't see a drop it all like that's that's awesome and there are so many modders modding that like I don't

we can discuss the changes to art because I agree with like you know sometimes you can make something look really creepy yeah but at the same time if we can improve stuff if we can get neural rendering in where you can lower the size of games all that stuff is going to be a net magical yeah yeah but I do understand where people are coming from with I think I think with some games the face stuff a far cry five look good it improve the faces but I saw some other people posting stuff and I was like that's uh it yeah it's because their face let's say it's hyper detailed in the rest of the world isn't like include but were you in there when I was doing cyber punk were you in our chat no no so I was screaming cyberpunk to everybody in the chat and I was messing around with it and I did my own hack for it and I was like here's my version and it was pretty fucking cool but yeah big hit on the okay yeah still big hit on performance because I don't have another card and it's still still not 90 percent but oh no it's practical for cyberpunk

was practical I used frame gen to make it like smooth yeah but that was a 4090 by the way which is supposedly not a card that is supposed to run this and it runs it fine now it runs it in software some hardware acceleration happens on the 5090 that doesn't happen on the 50 series oh so it's faster on the yeah 50s but somebody will figure that out like people dude and here's a funny thing you go anywhere people like I made a thing I made this mod first for like I'll just throw out a game starfield I made this mod for starfield and you look at it and it looks super professional and you're like oh and no way I was used and you're like okay now admittedly I don't care I like if you created something I don't I'm also not going to sit at your house and make sure that every single thing you do is perfect they are either if I buy a product from you I just I don't have that level of control over somebody else's life but I've been seeing some mods and some hacks for LLM's

and stuff that are like for sure throwing some serious compute to do some crazy shit insane stuff like I saw an OBS plug in a couple days ago that somebody was testing and I'm like if that becomes out in the open it's a game changer it's a legitimate game changer yeah like I was looking at it going that's exciting yeah I mean it makes OBS actually work I'm just joking it's not that bad right a max paying three review that just says too sunny yeah I don't get that was there because it was bright that game it was in South Paulo yeah yeah it wasn't based in rainy was this Chicago for the first game or is that just New York? New York the first end of the second game I can't say it and then there's some cool parts like one is in between New Jersey and

and South Paulo pursue there's some cool references not references thematic stuff that happens in control resident that reminded me I'm a x-pan I'll just say that much I don't want to say anything else because it might be a spoiler but well it's not a spoiler but it's a spoiler Gears of War e-day went gold can't believe we're here man I'm actually really excited for Gears of War e-day I think that game looks it looks phenomenal I mean now when I say looks phenomenal I need to point out I don't think it graphically looks like out of spec for this gen I just mean it looks like it could be a phenomenal time so looks phenomenal because I'm not playing it I can't say smells phenomenal that'd be weird yes it would also be unique feels phenomenal would also be weird so looks phenomenal what else do we got what are their amazing things

let's see super you had here rock star labor tribunal starts yeah that's the tribunal over the you may remember that last year or you know tober I think it was rock star laid off 34 employees supposedly for breaching confidentiality in a discord chat room but chart day employees then Clayton and that was a union busting because they were in a union chat room and and had reached a membership level where they were going to be officially recognized by by the government so there's been a legal dispute going on through the year and now the tribunal started here September 10th so a week ago and it's going to be running until October 16th I think it is

people make games is a YouTube channel they weren't by a former Eurogamer contributor who since we really saw it coverage of this interviewed a lot of rock star employees looked at a lot of the documents in the case and whatnot my own sort of tangential look into it has has has not been good for rock star I have to say I don't think they it looks like they have a good case here like the confidentiality they're talking about is basically rooted in like early earlier that year they revamped their slack message message threats where all the miscellaneous channels like gaming film whatnot they basically got removed because a mixture of rock star felt that they were distracting people and some of them had unhelpful messages especially apparently the gaming channel

where apparently some team members members were disparaging the work of other team members had done at previous projects at other companies apparently but but the confidentiality that got leaked apparently was a guideline rock star sent out for the new slack rules that someone then took and posted in the unions discord chat and then said oh hey guys these are the new guidelines for how we how we go about about it in slack and these this is what rock star then says was a breach of the conspired in sheality for them there's also various other stuff like there are a lot of individual there's one particular employee where it's really really bizarre that where they basically they say that she leaked confidential information in the single discord message that basically says

no i don't think we're doing crunch that's that's rock star saying here she's leaking like working working procedures on GTA 6 and whatnot and revealing the current state of the game with that message which i find a little species personally but uh but yeah there's like if you i really recommend people actually if they're interested actually look at the documents look at some of these discord discord messages that are available and and look into this themselves because yeah to to my eyes um it doesn't look like it looks like rock star has definitely um sort of stepped in to to crack down on on on the union information here also it leaked um in the trial here that they had a mole in in this discord chat for like two years before they shut it down oh well um so so yeah the timing like timing the shutting down of that channel specifically with when

they hit the threshold the membership threshold also seems quite suspicious as well yeah that definitely seems suspect so uh so yeah there there's definitely i'm seeing a lot of smoke uh so it's sort of it does make you think that there's a bit of a fire there but i mean but i mean we'll see when uh when the truck tribunal hands down their decision um in october timing matters i mean it's a big deal yeah yeah like i could see and especially in the industry because i mean it's gonna have an intimidating effect i think if it does go rock stars way for sure yeah yeah i mean i just like i mean there's multiple things that all have to do with timing and if yeah if it looks a certain way and that kind of timing like that um yeah that's just sad it's just sad i think that technically

rock star it seems like i mean it seems like they are on the end of all the bad news when it comes to work and crunch and um pretty much all of that it seems like there are always the ones that are pointed out as having it even Dan talked about it in his interview with lexfriedman he was like he liked it or didn't like it he he liked working with people who worked like that or worked super hard but he didn't necessarily say i love crunch or anything like that um but it has it has popped up a lot so like it's not it's it's not that crazy that maybe some of this weird shit happened hopefully it didn't but you know i mean a lot of the messages i saw were were very standard they were very standard management grumbling oh so and so is terrible like so and so is a bitch whatever right um that that you see in this kind of thing and like that that that is my sense of

rock star as a company it's not necessarily i don't think they're particularly egregious i think they suffer from the fact that there are a huge company with hundreds of employees yeah and so in the management of that they have a lot of middle management and i think and those middle management then handle creatives and i think a lot of those middle managers don't have people's skills as is often the case in these companies wherever they probably have more of a talent for numbers than they do for actually managing people yeah yeah managing people has become about managing the budgets not about like you know and then i lived through the whole we can't call a manager if we have to call them leaders and i'm like oh my god it's not the words i mean words matter but it's not that it's not the same thing you if somebody's a really good manager of numbers and budgets in some places they might be a great manager also you know for people yeah yeah depends on what they manage yeah yeah yeah and if they then have to manage people then yeah yeah

yeah it's gonna be a challenge it can suck man that's why like you'll see CEOs i it's a couple CEOs i've worked under and they had a litany of failures before they had their success i got lucky and i was working with them each time when they were in their successful phase and but they're pretty open that they were like oh dude my first company you know absolutely failed or whatever and you'd be like well what failed in a good CEO or whatever be like oh well management of people usually was too nice was another one because they did see all the complaints so they're like okay I'm gonna be you know this is gonna be a great place to work everybody's gonna get what they want and they don't realize that all workers aren't that way you know uh work yeah there's many a worker that takes fucking crazy i saw worker take such advantage of a company that i was astonished at the level at at his excellence at fucking doing nothing it was it was it's such up

you know i always talk about competence porn this person was so competent at doing nothing that it was quite literally a marvel of human engineering it was like you are the master class of doing he's master did yeah knowing how to lie wind a lie how to falsify stuff and we it took months because we knew something was up you could tell you were like something's up talk to him no oh no nothing's up you'd see weird shit you'd be like something's up for sure and um it was crazy man it was just like wow you really you suck really well which in some instances is a great thing in in a job environment not so great unless it's a you know pride a party then maybe so oh man i've dealt with mental managers who think they are the manager or the guy most of mine have been luckily the guy i i've got admit i've gotten lucky very lucky with most of mine who've been awesome i also think a lot of us give shit to the person who's leading us because we just

don't like the job i remember one of my bosses was like dude i he wasn't genuinely well he was generally he was a nice guy but he wasn't generally well light but he was a nice guy and he did his hardest and i remember one day he was like man a lot of people don't like me and i was like dude it's not that it's that these people see you first and they don't like the job and you hopefully your pay whatever it may be offsets that but that's just how humans work man that's just yeah that's how we work a dude i had to drive past my exes for like three years i didn't like the drive i blamed the drive had nothing to do it tarnishes tarnishes the experience man the experience yeah yeah yeah it's crazy what else do we got we got any more questions in discordian uh colitol was asking about only moussa he hasn't heard many people talking about it we kind of

touched on it i don't think any of us have like played it at the time right i can't really speak to it i'm afraid i can't even speak to people no i haven't seen a person stream at even in the night too much yeah um not an indicator of anything other than a busy time and yeah we have a friend who played it and who liked it so secondhand information like that but yeah i haven't heard the demo is quite nice anybody dislike it though yeah i mean that is yeah even if i haven't seen somebody stream it if like it gets brought up it seems like um okay no it is a little weird maybe dude it is a little weird now that i think about it because sometimes just because they don't stream or whatever they'll come in and be excited about it i haven't heard any excitement about it now that could just be that it's another samurai game or something i don't quite know i don't quite know but i i haven't even really i've heard more much more excitement about other games that's part of it for me for sure because when you ask

yourself do you want to embark on a 40 hour samurai samurai game yeah and we've done so many of those that at this point i just i don't really want to but yeah it's a bit of a shame the game does seem very good it does yeah it seems awesome yeah i would have reviewed it if i had time i just man ridiculous amounts of stuff that popped up um is that it for today anything else i think that's it i think we covered pretty much everything and we got back somewhat on schedule oh good yeah well i had one like one dream for you guys okay because i've been hearing a lot of people talk about the simulation theory this week it's kind of popped up again and i was wondering so this idea that if at some point we're able to create a simulation so real that seems real

the likelihood is that we're living in one of those simulated universes and not the the original one but my question for you guys is if you knew that for sure you live in a simulated universe would that change anything about how you go about life how you live out your days like would you literally change something from what you're doing if you knew this episode is brought to you by Nordstrom for 125 years Nordstrom has been part of your story the stylists who found the perfect outfit for your big interview the first pair of walking shoes for your one-year-old the tomato soup you shared with your sister at the cafe these are the moments that make Nordstrom bigger small we're here for all of it celebrating 125 years with new moments still add discover it all in Nordstrom stores and at Nordstrom.com but the rules weren't gonna change nothing changes it's

you know tomorrow you still have to do your work and stuff and like fix the house i think the only thing i would change is i mean i would tell people that somehow i knew i don't know how i'd get it out but i would tell people it sound like you're being the crank on the street with the exactly what are i was exactly what i was saying is i'd be the crazy guy on the line track to simulation the hatchet is still there so there you go yeah or single a single ace card on it yeah i would tell people but um i think you're describing if somebody found out whatever they believe in is real whether it be a religion or science or you're really a butterfly dreaming about being a or your butterfly if if you ultimately know the answer to that i don't even i think some people would go crazy uh other people might live their life other people might not change i also think humans are really good at becoming accustomed to whatever's going on yeah yeah craziest shit that you could explain you got to whatever you do and and that's one of the amazing things about humans and animals

but humans are really good even if it's a bad situation some humans can really adapt to it and be like i'm gonna try to take the best of it i think a lot of people would just be like okay well then hopefully there's something after it maybe they download us to the next upgraded pc like the sims and they just move on and then other people would be like nothing matters but people already do that that's why to me announcing aliens i'd have more questions than like i'd be like dude what the fuck are they doing here uh you know i would but it wouldn't change you know we're probably just do like don't keep it a put the visor down charge at the windmill and charge at the windmill yeah um i don't think yeah i i i don't but i don't know if that's a fair discussion because i like i don't even know what i would do because i think for humanity we're i don't care what somebody says if somebody says i have faith there's a god above a lot everybody's had a crisis of conscience or a crisis of religion every priest you talk to every single religious person you talk to maybe not

in the old days because they lived to 21 and they were religious for three years and died a fucking disinterpreter but for the most part if you live long enough you have a crisis at some point to where you question if you believe in god why do terrible horrible instantly regrettable unbelievably horrific things happen right that's that's one question do you believe in science why do anything because if we're all just gonna be you know burned to a crisp by our son we're we're all billier balls yeah on the cause and then some people will be like well that's why we do something good you know and you hear that from some scientists will be like the entire reason you do something good is where finite in this little space and then somebody else says yeah we're finite in this little space why worry about doing good and you're like fair fair both are fair both yeah so yeah knowing would be suck I think knowing would suck I would probably try to forget because I just think it doesn't it spoils the whole thing right a little bit yeah yeah

because you can't look forward to it it's if it's a simulation it's not heaven so there's no whatever your idea of heaven is it's like at some point your your fear of death or something like like maybe you just don't care about dying anymore if you know it's it's like not real at some level well that's the question we're dying in the simulation be dead in real life yeah and we wouldn't know that part you know yeah we wouldn't know I will say what I mean okay just it engenders the question of what is real and what isn't what is right which is also one of the questions sort of in herrington and the dunki hoter story that I referenced like what is real the dunki hoter and what's not to him right I mean the relationships that you that you form the memories that you form even if they are simulation they're real to you so aren't they real yeah right don't they have value in

that sense like they're we still have that be real to me and have value to me they wouldn't necessarily be devalued and I have a very unreliable connection with fear of death it goes away for long periods of time for me uh because I was yeah because I was sick and for the most part it's just not there I don't think about that kind of stuff ever which is I'm sure bad for my health times are bad for a relation or whatever it may be bad for somebody may care for you they want you to fix something and you're like uh you're not thinking the way they're thinking it's a that and that's a magnificently large gap let me tell you if you do meet somebody who's very nervous about that but what I do not want to have happened the only thing that bothers me about death I just don't want to burn to death I don't want like that that's a bad one yeah I like if I just snuff out great if I die my sleep great if I die of a heart attack great whatever you know I can deal with that kind of pain but like when I you know talk to burn victims I talk to people who've you know landmines

drowning is where I imagine drowning probably sucks balls because remember in the old days drowning I hear is one of the most peaceful ways and then they bring people up who've drowned and the person's like I mean waterbiting is one of the most brutal talk it's exactly dude come the fuck on man yeah I I lived in Oregon all my life guess what are one of our number one industries fishing people drown all the time and some drown and get resuscitated when they get back up and let me tell you none of them says breathing in a bunch of see like freezing cold seawater into your lungs is not awesome and it is not calming you're shrieking the entire time and all you can hear is your own fucking muffled scream as you breathe in that last time and can't scream again and I'm like okay well that sounds fucking horrendous yeah so dude come on um yeah now I wouldn't I wouldn't want that at all yeah I I think that's a type of death being crushed slowly like Chris uh or like a fucking Jeremy renner being crushed by a snow plow you know that guy's all around and I would just

look at my nephew and be like dude can you can you just grab one of my broken bones and shiv me because I'm you know like you could hear him screaming in the video like it's ridiculous it's like that would fucking suck but you never know when that shit happens maybe your your grasp for life uh gets higher you know I hope that never happens too yeah not the grasp for life I mean getting drove over by a snow cat because I just suck balls there's a lot of ways I hear about people dying and I'm like that last 30 seconds it must have just rewired their brain to be like this is the worst thing you know I thought everything was bad and tell this and then they have their dying they're like this is the last 30 seconds this is the most horrendous fucking black and then they die and hopefully at that point there's just blessed nothing I do I do think a blivian about a blivian a lot though true a blivian like you snuffed out and forever and ever infinity ever there's just nothing um what a waste I don't believe in

the functioning or intimidating not I find it a waste a waste of like just a waste I don't know any other way to describe it it just what a you know some people say that's cherished you should cherish it because it's this little small space in the infinite universe and I'm like okay that I get where you're coming from but I just think what a waste of like experience and discovery but no I'm not too intimidated by it I just think about it like because that's my conjecture is that like right you're gone right you go to sleep yeah we're done yeah that's so the mind I I find it comforting personally yeah well I find it comforting because my version of heaven I've seen too many twilight zones where somebody's seen heaven or they see the night that it's too good and they're like all right we can't have this with a matrix where they're like we made it perfect and everybody really got fucking you know they they rebelled and I'm like I feel like I'd be that in I'd be I'd be Lucifer up there going like nah man I don't like it up here like I don't know I don't know but

yeah it's weird yeah blivian for sure like just being like snuff like snuff so if there is heaven what what version of Rusev would you be up there would you be exactly 25 exactly before or or you know now that you know you got the empty space elves would you would just be like a flowing night floating light or whatever well oh I thought you were gonna say this other thing a lot of people who do DMT have talked about like seeing the universe that split into infinitism like slices like bread and that you exist throughout that and then you know what's her name who does assembly theory talks about time is actually space in the universe and all these different discussions so it's like would you in heaven be all of you like that white light is just you every every millisecond of your life is just you and at some parts of me I don't want in other parts of me like some parts of me I de-vict as a bad roommate I'd be like nah I don't want the 18-year-old we don't we don't need a backup of everything no right right you got I got some duplications in

there I need to get rid of and I'm got a junk folder that's pretty fucking big and I don't need to carry that junk folder into wherever I go next like sorry yeah not a bad person uh let's see I'm not religious the thing that fascinates me is no one can explain consciousness so okay that's too long to discuss at the end of the podcast but I do this I hate that fucking hate that discussion you're marked that I hate that discussion I hate that discussion so no one can explain it and then you have science is going it's explained all the time like what the fuck are we talking about it it is explained so I don't know I don't know like I feel like it's very well defined but I think it's maybe not well defined I think it is very well established that you can see how to turn it off and on certain damages to the brain certain things like that um but uh you uh oh also the other thing is people will be like uh this is the most complex thing in

the universe the brain is the most complex thing in the universe I sort of get that I sort of get that but then if it is the most complex brain I think it's hard to use your brain which is not going to be ever as pure as a complex brain to try to figure it out it's like that next level of algebra you could never crack right like you can get to a part it's almost like when a person gets extra strength when they lift a car we need to have that moment where we all get extra brain power maybe that's AI you know where you start asking it I mean we're there's it's solving math problems I know that there's some hubbub about uh how that how that occurred or worked but um standing on the shoulders kind of thing but maybe that'll be it maybe we'll be able to aim it at something it'd be like go figure out heaven for me and then it'll come back and be like dude it's hells all the way down that's what you just turn the AI off you're like fuck don't tell me that's the big thing with AI in medicine is yeah yeah especially diagnostics and stuff like that I am so excited

listen I understand that fucking duology of all this shit but I'm so excited for AI and medicine that I cannot describe it as somebody who knows people who have riddling diseases and we're already seeing some insane stuff being done in the last two years that is fucking nuts and the ability to just do that computation like that kind of work and and suggest different antibacterials all kinds of fuck man yeah but we're in a race we're always in a race you're always in a race the very technology you advance is the same tech and it's happened multiple times cars killed more people than horses and you just giggle giggle giggle giggle it's always and we're just hoping we come out on top but I think there is going to be a point where certain things are going to be just extinguished you know like for example I have a neurological condition I was born with we're like walking is really difficult for me right but I can see that at some point it's going to be the last generation that had that thing for example because we're going to solve

that so I knew anyone else who's born and may have that at some point we're going to be able to either like splice jeans and fix that or you know figure out treatments and stuff dude I think that's the really exciting part and it's exciting crisper is exciting because somebody like you does have it it doesn't mean you would have to live with it it actually crisper is sort of like a really good yeah true you know we could change it and the same thing could be said for blood transfusions where for years nobody knew you know if if there was no blood transfusions these people died people figured out blood transfusions and it's like holy shit there's it's like you basically force magnified the ability the human race to extend and that's just one of them um but yeah it's gonna be it's gonna be weird dude because I do think we're on a precipice of like how far along we are who's in charge and I'm not even talking about presidents I mean in charge like entire nations and what they think and what they do and you know who they vote in who they don't vote in all of that stuff but also a i's ability to force magnify a bad person

with yeah very true I always loved it the bad stuff people always said you know the criminal ways the fastest or stealing it's faster than working for it but stealing had a very real usually a real uh what do you call it um like punishment for that kind of stuff yeah and now you look at it and you're like oh shit because the a ton of force in one person's hand can do horrible things which sucks but we'll just have to see man I'll be here in my bunker I got my generator I'll turn that thing on you're ready I'm ready for 24 hours because that's all the gas I got but I for 24 hours while everybody else is in a panic I'll be in here with my bug out bag in my dogs and then one final podcast yeah and then it's time to barricade the neighborhood and just be like any of you guys in here tomorrow ain't making it out this is mine this is my neighborhood I'm just joking not really but I am maybe I'm not though I would I would probably evict ever because the

thing is an extra person that isn't like in blood relatives couldn't be trusted who knows maybe just be me and my dogs just living in here alone eat my wife that gets you another week you know I'd invite you guys over I'd say hey I got safety I got a generator guys and you guys have come over and I got a bib on a lobster bib you guys are like what do you eat and then I'm like ah uh meets back on the menu boys you gotta look for that one oversized friend you know yeah yeah maybe the most out of you accidentally trip them so they get hurt so they run slower than you yeah anyway is that it for today um spc erote ace combat in two weeks eight ace combat eight releases and yeah yeah looking good too and you know you're not the only one excited though I probably unfortunately much like control I will not be able to play it
