Do you have more confidence in Arch Manning or Julian Sayin on Saturday?

0:00200,000 times is this archbending because it's a home game. This is their own two in the big giant games against Ryan Dano, outdated this way. And this is as bad as massive as it gets, but you look at the schedule ahead for Texas. If they don't win at home against Ohio State, this is another 9 and 3 year that they're probably not going to make the college football play. If Ohio State loses, okay, fine, Texas is on the road. It's tough to go to Indiana, so some nightmare games ahead is a much tougher schedule than last year, but that's probably not losing two more games. And for arch, again, this is your home. You're supposed to win this game and let's see him show up and play well. Pete Futek there, college football news talking about the pressure being solely on archmaning. I think I think he's right. What's interesting is the Manning family has done what I can only say is a tremendous job of shielding arch from a lot of the nonsense that should come with being.

1:04You know, the the generational sigh on the air to the manning quarterback thrown. I don't think you can I don't think you can shield him from this kind of pressure there. This game is so crucial to how people think about him because this really kind of has to be the year. I know there's this thought that arch could go back for a third year started quarterback in Texas. And I think it is possible. I don't think it's likely, but it is possible. The problem is I think if arch doesn't take command of Texas this year, I think he's going to really have to get over the hump of people's perception in the 2028 draft. Yeah, I mean, he's not going to end up like when you were or anything like that, but but it'll always kind of persist that idea. Like you have to win yet to win the big game. That's on Sark and it's on Arch now. And so I think there's a bunch of pressure. I mean, how state can lose this game and people are still going to have national title aspirations for a high state. You're soon going to talk about them as one of the best teams in college football and life will move on. If arch loses this one, this could stay with him for a while. I just know knowing how I'm how connected that family is and how it seems like they've got a great structure to help each other go through a lot of this stuff.

2:15I still have no I understand why they landed on Texas from the standpoint of that is a blue blood program. The Sark stuff is the part that I just don't get. I just don't want to confidence in Sark. I mean, Sark was he flamed out at USC. He was fine at Washington, but fine is as good as a God at Washington. And he's had one season where it looked like they were going to do something significant at Texas. And that was about three years ago now. And so I just I I'm just flabbergasted by it because they're so smart, but like even like Peyton stumping for Adam Gase. And Adam Gase just becoming the biggest weirdo non factor of a quarter of a head coach ever. Yeah. I mean, they just don't have good taste in head coaches. Maybe I'm trying to figure out if there's anything we can directly I mean Peyton is historically went to four super balls with four different head coaches. And obviously one two with you know what I mean like that's like that's kind of his theme of his NFL career was I can do it regardless of the coach. Well, they just don't give enough credit to the coach. I was thinking it's like the Bella check coaching tree where like.

3:16Bella check was the guy they were trying to emulate and they got a bunch of non-belly checking guys and be like well, maybe that Bella check guys just a good head coach. I mean Tom Brady's good at quarterbacking. I just think that's what it is. I think I think I think Peyton Manning likely believes I did it with everybody and anybody you threw at me. You should do it with just about anybody as well and the coach isn't going to make or break you. You are going to make or break you and that's got to be your mentality. I know that there's college football is just different than that though. I know there's a but ton of talent NFL talent on this field. I have no doubt in my mind that both Arch Manning and Julian Sain are going to be much better quarterbacks than they were in this game last year. We're both the only way you can do the arrows got to go up. There's no I mean. Well, I'm talking about like significantly better like it wouldn't surprise me if this was a quarterback showcase. So Julian Sain is what I'm interested in all this. Yeah, I pointed this out before. I don't know why maybe this is in like deeper college football circles. I just don't know why more people aren't discussing the idea that against Texas last year. They scored 14 points against Indiana, the big 10 title game.

4:18They scored 10 and against Miami and the college football playoff. They scored 14 Julian Sain had as many interceptions as he had touchdowns at three a piece in those three games. Like I he wasn't good against the three games that matter the most last year. He was phenomenal in games that didn't matter. He's absolutely he was awesome against teams that maybe weren't the greatest. All things considered by talking against the teams that were the elite of the elite last year in college football. The offense as a whole did not put up a lot of points. Yeah, and it's interesting. I can't remember the exact thing that he said, but Josh paid had some line about Julian Sain about doubts about Julian Sain. I think it was about like his work ethic or something like that. And I haven't been able to shake those on top of the fact that like you know, I heard enough Julian Sain's going to be one of those quarterbacks in the top five in this off season about the top five picks in next year's draft. And I was like, but he's he's six foot one and he's like 200 pounds and like. When I was the thing in the off season was him trying to put on weight right and him trying to get bigger and that's why he's dating a Pilates and that's not how you do it.

5:23I don't think I don't think Pilates is. This is the thing in scope is that the answer to like what's put on some muscle? Yeah, what's really let's get it couldn't hurt. It's good jet. It couldn't hurt. I don't think it I don't know that Pilates helps get very flexible very flexible very flexible. It can help with certain places. Yeah, in certain instances. Like golf definitely. Yeah, definitely. And maybe like if somebody's trying to bring it down, you get a little flexibility there. Are you worried that that say in just maybe I again, this is just a concern I have, but I just don't know. I don't know that he necessarily is awesome against the great teams. And this is one of those things that he's going to have to showcase. I think you said who do you think is less likely to show up for this game and have a big game it would be Julian saying. I like I just. I want I think it's Arches time. I don't expect him. I expect him to fulfill the prophecy this year. I do. And I think this game is the beginning of that. And I still just look at Julian. I'm like, he's a very average physical talent. And I haven't seen like I haven't been able to pinpoint like, oh, that's what makes him special yet.

6:26And that's what I think this year is about. But I think that like with Arch, you can be like prodigy, prototypical NFL size. He's very athletic. I he is obviously has the lineage of being a great quarterbacks from that family going back three generations now. I see it with Arch, even if I don't think we've seen it consistently with Julian, I still don't. I don't get it. I don't I don't see it yet. Yeah. And then you know, it's funny Ryan Day all week is spent about the run game and whether or not he gets a run game going. I'm so fascinated to see how this game actually plays out. You know, Ohio State turned over so much of that defense from last year to this year. It's going to give Arch more opportunities. I think I have is going to be more of a shootout is going to be more of a defensive mind the game. It's just a true mystery of a game. And I'm fascinated to see what happens. 216 474 0092. 7:26I think it is March Arch, Manning. I also think Arch, Manning is a better chance of showing up in this game than Julian, saying does based off of everything. But I'm prepared to be wrong. And Julian wants to come in and throw four tutties and 300 yards. I'll leave that crow on my shelf. I should never see in a quarterback that gets such high as men love, high as men hype. It gets talked about the way he does that nobody just has any expectations for Julian, saying the lead in five minutes on 92 through the fan.
