In this league podcast that work presents Prospect one. The fantasy prospect podcast. Prospect one with your host Chris Welsh. This is the fantasy baseball prospect podcast. This is prospect one. Hello friends. I'm your host Chris Welsh. Who you can find on Twitter and Instagram at is it the Welsh that might be important as the Arizona fall lead comes around and of course at in this league.com. That is the Patreon. That is where you can support everything that I do. Whether it is Prospect ranks that you care about dynasty ranks that you care about or just me.
I don't know. I don't know what it is, but you can get the top 500 Prospect ranks top 400 dynasty ranks. Those are available at in this league.com. They're also spanned out by team and by position. We've got first year player ranks, which I think are touching around 100 overall. Probably going to even continue keep going. And in this off season doing the Prospect one 80 piece where we can get a top 200 Prospect 80 piece system. All of those things are there. Plus we've got the Prospect one rooms. I'll be having some special Arizona fall lead base content that's going to be there. And again, you're just supporting the independent podcast that is Prospect one is we continue to push on Prospects. And that is what we are doing today with the Arizona fall league roster breakdowns because boy did we get that sucker in just in time. I think the the prediction show we got in a good week. Maybe you're so roughly 10 days or so. We were able to get in before the Arizona fall league. We figured out we're starting to kind of trickle in some of the names and then they started doing like, you know, one per day, two per day. I think they had one where they did four per day.
And then just out of nowhere, they just dropped the whole roster. So I think this is pretty good. I could be honestly they don't quite remember versus last year. I mean, two weeks a little more than two weeks out seems like a pretty solid number. So I think they just kind of like had their stuff locked in of, you know, what the names were going to be. I don't think a ton were changing. So we were able to get that prediction show in. And what we're going to be doing today is we're actually going to do a quick little review of, you know, what that ended up looking like for me. I've got a few notes. I got a few surprises. Overall thoughts on the Arizona fall again. And then of course, maybe the most important thing is a breakdown. I'm going to go through what those rosters look like. I have tiered out to tier one type players, tier two type, tier three. And then sleepers on the team. And I'm actually also going to have these as videos available on the YouTube. So go to YouTube.com slash in this league. Each team will individually be uploaded. I've got some graphics up there for it. If you want to check it out, please follow the YouTube YouTube.com slash in this league. If you go and follow that is going to tell me to continue doing prospect content, at least on our YouTube side.
And what a great time to do it when we got there as an fall again. So if you would, I'd highly appreciate all the follows on the YouTube get that sucker over a thousand. That would be super, super amazing. So go and check that out. I'll probably be releasing them like one a day. Kind of like the fall. I suppose where you know Saturday Sunday, pop up out. I'll have those videos out from what is this podcast, but they'll be kind of a, you know, like a visual component. And at the end of the show. Also, which I'll put up on the YouTube. I'm going to have kind of like a overview breakdown of, you know, a couple guys that I think that are going to pop some sleepers picture of the year MVP. We're going to kind of go through all those. So this is going to be a concept comprehensive breakdown. Kind of across the board. But before we get to that, let's get to some of these overalls. The overall thoughts of the Arizona folics. I've been asked this quite a few times from listeners to dear friends in the industry. I know just the most recent one was Franky stamps, Frankie Frank, Frank Stanford from CBS. We were kind of talking about the fall league. He's obviously excited about DAX kill be being out there.
I'll take it this. I think from if you just did a hyper focus on like the top tier players, it's not the best. It's definitely not the worst. You know, because if you, if you care like what baseball America or pipeline or whatever, what their ranks and all are relatively the same, the numbers will change a little bit. But like who the top 100 prospects are roughly all the same for most people fantasy or real life. There's a decent amount of names. And there's a couple decent big ones. And again, that becomes like the reference of like, how do you value a player? Do you think dot, dot is this high? Do you think Eduardo Quintero should be the top guy or Caleb Bonner or whatever it is. I would say from the top end like this feels better than the Carson member of Carson Williams is a couple years ago speaking of me and Frankie interviewed Carson Williams together. A couple years ago, there was, you know, it was like Manzardo and Deloiter and Carson Williams and everyone was like, you know, it was like baseball America's top prospect Carson Williams.
The top end felt blah, you know, they, I think they ended up having good depth because you know guys like Jacob Marcy and James triantos, but the top felt blah. I would say this is better than that. The top in guys, the top overall prospects, the Zaire Hope and the Bryce Rainier and Eduardo Quintero and Caleb Bonner, the top 100, you know, top 10 guys. It's not the best. And if I'm using a 10 year window, when I've really focused on the fall league, this is probably like middle-ish pack or whatever. But the depth is not great. I would say it's fair to say because I've talked to a couple people from an overall perspective. I feel like we're lining out to one of the worst overall rosters. Now I will say there's some pictures that I'm into. There's like at least three pictures. I'm really excited to see that I think can get some buzz. You know, teams are carrying some top prospects, but what you would get it felt like was you get these top guys.
And then you would get, you know, some other balance and then there'd be some stud blah, blah, blah. It just feels it feels like the worst. Now, maybe it's not maybe it'll end up being, you know, like the second or third in the last 10 years. But the depth is really rough. You know, I overshot. I think I got a couple of these rosters. I did pretty well on. I did horrific on some because I overshot thinking, oh, we would get this guy in this guy. So yeah, I would say of the last 10 Arizona fall leagues, this has got to be 9th or 10th in worse rosters. So that's what kind of stinks. Now, once we get into it, we might just see some, you know, some crazy guys jump up. I do think there's a couple stacked teams. But it was even like, you know, last year, it was like, oh, cool. You know, we had like a top overall prospect in mechanical and wallcott was going to be there. You got a couple top guys. And then it was like, well, there's two teams that are really good. And then there's three or four teams that are decent. And then it was like one team that was not great.
This is the vibes of like two earth, especially two teams really not having great rosters. Another one or two that are okay. And then it's like, there are two teams that dominate the Arizona fall league this round. So, you know, that take that for what it is. And I'll eat my words gladly. My words because I'll be at every freaking game. And I want to see all these players. And I want to see guys succeed. And I want to see awesome stuff. But I would say my overall perception is this is one of the worst constructed overall rosters. Again, the top top in looks better. But we've had some really great depth of years. And I couldn't really tell you what the reason behind it is like teams didn't want to send out a bunch of prospects because of the minor league season they're going to play next year. So many minor leagueers are not going to be affected by whatever the lockout is at least from what they're going to do perspective where they're older reliever. Yeah, I mean, like that's just kind of how it looks like there were there were some surprising good names. A couple guys that I thought that like had good years and I'm surprised that they were sent out here.
Couple draft picks, not the level of draft picks I was expecting. I was expecting a few more. And I will say though that there are a couple. This has been pointed out to me by a few people and I noticed it. There's a few rosters that are not set as in like, I think it's the Yankee. Maybe it's the Yankees or it was the nationals that did not send out every single player because you're a lot at eight. So you'll probably see a couple more guys trickle in and I think that something I could help the Arizona fall league is that you maybe there's a dispeculating maybe we'll have a few more teams do the swippy swap that we've seen in years past the A's kind of made it the biggest thing because they swapped out Henry Bolt for Nick Kurtz. So maybe we'll see a little bit more of that maybe that's on the table, which could be really fun. But you know when you stare at this bad boy and you look at the rosters, they're definitely is kind of like a lacking overall. But at least every single team that one thing I was a little bit worried about and I'm open actually for argument on it a little bit.
But like as I did my tears. So to me, I'll give an explanation of how this will end up looking. Tier one is kind of like the the elite to bigger name player and it's a little subjective. Tier two is kind of that next run. I tried to be a little bit more hardcore about who was going into tier two. You know bigger names maybe bigger production. Tier three is kind of like the I'm paying attention to these guys. Maybe they're a little bit more average and then sleepers. I would say probably for the most part or not players that are on 90% of people that are listening to this minds or really even know about that maybe could pop. So again, like the tier one is meant to say these are names that get you excited about the Arizona fall leagues. Something I didn't realize I did or I didn't do try to do lots of stuff. Let me count how many tier ones I have before we get to them. Let's see four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen. I have thirteen tier one players.
If I wanted to be a little bit more hardcore subjective, I think staring at this I could take out one maybe two. There's even a third. There's the possibility you could argue that two teams don't even have a tier one player. You'll know what I'm talking about when we get there. So like maybe they could go down to nine, but I was trying to balance between like upside production and big name as like the exciting guys. Tier two, I mean, you get it. It's the next levels. And then if I did not list a player, I just don't really assume that they're in the top three tier of paying attention to. That does not necessarily mean that they're not players that aren't going to pop. But that's how I'm kind of approaching this. I will say many people have asked about surprises. I had lots of people like, oh, I hope you're right about, you know, Eli Willett's coming out there. That was a long shot. I think the biggest long shots I had, Eli Willett's and Jesus Made. I was really hopeful. Made would come out because Pania was scheduled to come out. I thought maybe they would, you know, get him out here.
That would have been cool. Eli Willett's just kind of a hopeful thought, you know, that maybe the nationals, they just don't have a lot of big offensive players. And maybe they want to treat him like the Tigers ended up treating Kevin McGonigal, especially with all the trade rumors that float around. Like that would be sweet. Play some different positional stuff. And wrong. But the two, but so the whole point of this is like people are like, so you know, what we surprise about. There are two that I am very surprised about. I mean, almost to like, I'm shocked. I'm shocked that Aiden Miller is not here. I cannot believe that Aiden Miller, they said he was going to be here. Maybe he will be. Maybe they'll make an adjustment to it. That surprise team. It's not great. It's not fantastic. I mean, taking a look at it, if they wanted to make a push here, just doing a blind look. I mean, they've got a couple of, they got a couple of names. I feel like you could bump off. But if all these guys are actually playing in field, they've got what are the nine infielders.
So where the hell are you going to play in? Maybe you could D H M. You could be out there. You know, there might be a guy or two that goes into the outfield and tries it. But like, I think it would be tough. The other one is on the same damn team. I cannot believe Sebastian Walcott's not out here. I'm floored. He missed multiple points of the season significant. He was here last year. He played a game. Why would you not want him to get going? And he's not synod here. So those are the ones that I'm actually shocked about. I will say one. Tim, Tim, Tim can act, interview Travis Sikora and Sikora said he's coming out. And he wasn't listed. But the nationals are one of those that don't have all their players listed. So maybe he comes. So that one actually kind of got me to. And I will tell you from a behind the scenes standpoint, I think there could still maybe be an adjustment or two, but I am surprised Jose Prasinio is not out here. I was under decent guides of knowing that he was going to come out here because of mistime. But he had been here a little, you know, little while back.
So again, maybe the teams decline. Maybe the players decline. There's a lot of things to it. But the real true like, wow, was Sebastian Walcott and Aided Miller to me that did not make this. And that would have like really helped out the rosters. I do think like I said over the next week or so, we'll probably have a couple more names trickle in. I'm not holding out any hope they're going to be of significance. You got tons and tons of relief pictures out here. You know, the offensive sides might be set. But you never know what's going on with injuries. And in the last year, the Phillies were going to send out Aided Miller and Carson D. Martini and neither ended up coming because of injuries. So they can have replacements, but those two are really, really shocking. So let's talk about the review for a second because I don't want to go too crazy with this. Looking back, I graded myself. Salt River Scottsdale, Mesa, Peoria, Glendale, and Surprise. I'm going to go back and order how I did it on the shows. So I started with the Salt River rafters. I think I did a great, I did a really good job on that.
Demetrile Cresantes, Dax Kilby, Yarlyn Susana, Yasser Mercedes, Yassil Soler. I got those. Sakura, okay, you know, maybe I'll end up being right. Amino Rodriguez, I really thought would come out, but he got called up. I don't think I did that great on the twins. For what this experiment is, I had locked in Susana, Kilby, Forbes, Cresantes, Mercedes. Like I'm going to give myself an A. And by the way, it's the only I'm giving, I give myself an A minus actually. I think I stunk, I don't think I got like a single rocky, right? So I really stunk there, but I'm going to give myself an A for the Salt River rafters on that. I definitely whiffed on Willits and Amino Rodriguez. Again, I overshot a lot of these. Now going to the Scottsdale Scorpions roster. My, okay, I got my grade, my predictions going down here, got to find them. I had Nathan Fluelling, Bryce Rainer.
I think I was a Dakota Jordan. Those were ones that I had all predicted. I absolutely stunk with the Brewers and I stunk with the Astros. I can't believe the Astros didn't send out like a chivalny or a fray or something like that. I really missed on those teams. The Tampa Bay Rares I got Fluelling, I was hopeful they would send out like an over or a Gillen. And maybe I'm giving myself too much credit. I gave myself a B. What were B minor? I think I gave myself a B on this one. Yeah, I just gave it a straight B. Because I got Rainer, I think that was kind of a stoot in taking the top prospects. But that might be too generous of myself because I definitely my guest of modded and work out, Xavier Nans didn't work out. I'm willing to even be like that's a B minus. But I think Rainer alone is going to give me that. Now we move to the Mesa Solar Sox. The Mesa Solar Sox looking at my grade. I had horrible guesses. Arjun Amalo was around close to what I got.
Okay, I did have two good ones. Jake Cook, but that was already like out there. But I had already had him on here. And I did nail Miles Bailey. Miles Bailey was a good one. He had not played any minor league stuff. He ended up, he's going to jump over to the fall league from being drafted. I'm happy with that one. I also got like Kenya Huggins and whatever. But I mean, top to, I think I missed every single red sock. The only AI got was Huggins. I thought Conrad and Wiggins would come here. The Angels. I kind of got Mesa McGuire would come here. I did a bad job on that one. I get a D. Only because Miles Bailey, I think, brought me up from not giving myself an F on that one. So Mesa, I really stunk on the Peoria team. Kind of as predicted, it kind of stinks. Somehow the Padres don't have a lot of prospects. I missed on every single one of them. I guess I might have to actually change my grade here. Why did I give myself this grade? Oh, yeah, because of these two guys.
So I missed on the Mariners. I stunk there. The Cardinal are the reds. I also stunk, I stunk on three teams. But with the Cardinals, I did get Brandon Clark and Sammy Hernandez. And I Irish with the Orioles. That was the one. I guess I didn't lock it in. So I shouldn't give myself big credit there. But I did get that right. I missed on thinking Ace Riefs would come here. Rano Rodriguez. I was right about. They bring out the catchers, but they just didn't bring out the catcher. We thought, though I did have Sammy Hernandez. And I thought there was a possibility the reds would be a little bit more aggressive in sending out like a Tyson Lewis or LeBron. I gave myself a C-. I think that might be more like a D to be if I'm really being aggressive. But Brandon Clark and I Irish kind of hold that up. And then the final two teams here in my predictions. I had, I'm going to look here. Oh, yeah. Okay. So I'm actually going to save this other one. Let's go down to the surprise for a second. Because I'm going to give myself my worst grade here in a little bit. The surprise sororos. Oh, this is another really funny one. I didn't even think about this.
Caden Scarborough's agency said he was going. And he wasn't on that list. I didn't even think about that. I had Jason Cheerio. I had a Miller, obviously, Blake Mitchell Scarborough wallcott. I think the only thing I really got right was Justin Lampkin. And I gave myself a D, but I think that's an F. I think I'm going to give myself an F. And that takes to the Glendale team, which I'm giving myself an F. I think I absolutely stunk on that one. I think I talked about a lot of different things, but like with the Dodgers, I just talked myself out of Quintero. And I was like, maybe James Tibbs or Sarota, Nope, Zazuda, Nope, Kellen Lindsey. I mean, I don't, I'm just looking here. Camlight, I just stunk on that. White socks, we knew Kayla Bonimer was going. I also knew LeComb was going. I don't know if that was public. The Braves, I whiffed on all the right name. I did not think Tate Salstein would come out here. Nor did I think Briggs McKinsey would.
And I picked literally all the other guys, Eric Hartman, Louis Guinepa, John Gill, and then on the Marlins side. Oh, this is another one of those trick you want. I didn't realize I did get Dylan Lewis. I think the Marlins are missing a couple of offensive pieces. We had heard a lot of rumors of Aviv Arquette coming. And he's not on this list. And we, I knew that Emmett Olson was coming. So I'm not really sure what the Aviv Arquette situation is maybe he'll go. But I mean, I pretty much only got Dylan Lewis. And I, I whiffed on the pirates. Edward Florentino, Murf Gray, Nope, Nope. I'm absolutely stunk on the team. So straight up F. So, but that's also that that kind of tells like, I don't think I'm incredible at this. But I think I'm pretty good at this. That I've given myself two F's on teams. And like maybe even another D. I think it's also like, that's where the underwhelmingness is. Like we're all used to having expectations, but really, really rough rosters or things we might have thought in previous years would go out there.
But that's how I'm getting greater myself. You guys can grade me harder on it. Like I said, I think I did really well in Salt River. I did pretty good on Scottsdale. Mesa Glendale in surprise was a real struggle. And honestly, Puri was too. Like on all those rosters, guess what? There's some str- Glendale is a good team, but the other rosters really, really struggle in there. Last couple of notes I want to give you. And then we are going to start with the actual team breakdowns that I've got. Are, thank you guys know that Caleb Bonhamers out here to play center field. Another fun note, Charles Davilan for the Dodgers, is actually going to come out here and play second base. So that's one of those guys that's not going to go play in the outfield. So I mean, how that ends up working for that team. In that construction, I mean, in, you know, spoiler alert, they're a pretty dang good team. You know, they're going to have an outfield that's going to be like Bonhamer, Quintero, and then like Dylan Lewis or something. And then their infield might be Davilan with Southsteen, Southsteen, and Severino and Charles Hamlin,
a white Sanford. Like they're a really, really strong team. So Davilan's going to play at second base, which I thought was a cool little added thing. And then just in case you guys didn't notice this, I'm always have fun paying attention to the coaches. There aren't a lot of great, like, there's going to be some older people that are like, oh, this guy was there. There was one coach that stood out to me. You know, in years we've had like Bobby Crosby and stuff. Aaron Hill is coaching for this team. Good old Aaron Hill with the Diamondbacks. I think it was like cycles in like a week span or whatever. He's coaching with the White Sox, I think. So he'll be a hitting coach with the Glendale team. That's about it. That's about all the fun coaches that I saw. And those are the last notes that I have. The season starts up in a couple weeks. It's going to start on a weekend. We'll probably have a couple more players added. I don't have any other true insights quite yet. I'm chatting with the AFL and getting my stuff set, but want to get interviews and want to do all those fun things. But yeah, the overall perspective is this is definitely a lesser of a full completed AFL.
It's kind of decently strong on the top end. There's a couple really fun pictures to see. It's not packed with pitching, especially when you take off the core and you take off Scarborough. But that you get to see Brandon Clark and Yarlene Susana. And I'm definitely forgetting there's another, I'll bring some McKinsey. Like those are some fun names to see. So you like to see that, but you would have loved to see more depth and more strength with it. That is going to take us to the team breakdowns. Again, if you would like to see these encapsulated in themselves and the YouTube side, go to youtube.com slash in this league. There's a prospect one tab and I will be putting out each individual team with just some video graphics if you care and just trying to get the YouTube up. Say I like you. I like you so much. I'm gonna make you my partner. All you have to do is find the gold and I'll share it with you 50-50. Prospect What? This is how I have got this bad boy set up. I've got some stats hanging around with me so we can talk about some of the players. I'm not gonna go through the entire roster, but this is one of the stronger rosters in the Arizona Fall League. But I have tiers. I have tier one, which is the elite, a leader type of players. The elite guys, the guys that you're really gonna pay attention to. Tier two, it's the next range. These guys could definitely waver from maybe there's an underperforming, but they're a big name. Maybe they're close to jumping in to be a tier one guy. Or statistically, that season might have been awesome. Tier three, these are guys that I am still definitely paying attention to and kind of locked into. And then we've got some sleepers, some players that I think you're gonna want to pay attention to because there might be opportunities for them to kind of show out in the Arizona Fall League.
That creates more value. Maybe their prospect names jumps. We know there are players upon players that improve their values that can be kind of, you know, coming in and then all the sudden jump out. Look at Jacob Marcy with MVP like performances or Yosue Bersino with the Tigers who hit for the triple crown in the Arizona Fall League. You know, there are some names that can pop up. If they didn't make this list, this is kind of me saying that just a little bit lesser. Doesn't mean that they're not, they're not gonna have some cool performances here. But in my tier one, again, strong team, one of the few strong teams in the Arizona Fall League. Eduardo Quintero with the Dodgers leads the way, Tate Southseeing with the Braves and Caleb Bonhamer with the White Sox. Both strong guys. Eduardo Quintero 13 homers 44 stolen bases with a 308 average best OBP on this list. I think 2443. He was able to move a couple levels. Tate Southseeing had an absolutely insane season. And you know, I got admit even thinking of like a small capsilized period of time to see.
And as I'm looking at these here to see like Tate Southseeing and Edward Eduardo Quintero's like stats next to each other. It's like, wow, you know, Southseeing seemed like he was like just on a rocket ship. But then you see and you're like, well, Quintero had one more homer and had one less stolen base and hit 30 points higher. Now, I think Quintero had hit more hits and he had a little bit more time that was in there. But 72 runs for Southseeing, not a big RBI guy probably hits at the top of the lineup. And then Caleb Bonimer who hit 37 homers. I think your top homer guy here in the fall. We got a couple 30 guys in here. But Bonimer 37 homer 17 stolen bases is average kind of struggle. This case were a little bit of a problem. But he hit 251 with a 380 OBP and a 930 OPS. These are like these are your studs. These are your big dogs that you're going to be paying attention to. I think Bonimer is in a really interesting situation because like this is a home, I mean for both Quintero and him, a home ballpark, the pitching kind of is a little.
This could be similar to Colson Montgomery. Colson Montgomery came out to the fall league like two years. And one of those he really struggled. He had like a strikeout issue. And then he was able to kind of just shorten his approach. And then he just balled out the second time. Just crushing balls left and right to beautiful time. You know, elevation the ball flies. This is an easy ballpark for them that I think you can maybe see something similar that Bonimer strikeouts kind of come back down and he hits bomb. So I think there's an opportunity that we could have sky rising value sky rising value out of Bonimer here in the fall. That would be somebody that like I think can go from. It's kind of tough in valuations where people put him is he a top 25 guy with the case is he top 35. I think if he goes and he just starts hitting homers, he pulls as Merlin Valdez, he's a guy that could rock it up like 50%. So if he was like 35 on someone's list, he could be someone that's like into the teens. So being a lookout for him. I think Quintero and South, South esteem are two players that are going to just like fly.
There I think I think Tate specifically is one that's going to steal a lot of bases. I think this could be the top three. I think it like take could lead off. Quintero could hit two and Caleb Bonner can hit three. Or maybe they'll even do something where there's like, you know, Tate's leading off. There's a number. Another number two hit or maybe it's someone like a Davalene or a L. S. S. S. S. and then you get like Bonner hitting four. It's a really, really interesting situation that these guys are locked into and I love I love all three of these guys and it's like a big stud pairing. But I think that Quintero is already kind of on a nice rocket ship as his tape. But Bonner might be someone that can change perception because of the strikeouts. So that would be something and I would say take a look at when we go into tier two here. We've got Briggs McKinsey, which that's kind of our first picture that really kind of gets our attention. Briggs McKinsey with only 26 innings so far had in 2026 31 strikeouts, a 2.08 ERA and 12 walks 1.15 whip.
This is a great opportunity, especially if you're going up against like some of those other lower rosters like this is one of those where half of the really good skill players in the AFL are on this team that he's not going to go again. So he should get a significant amount of innings. And I think this is a really good spot. This is another one of those that I think Briggs could maybe move into top 100 conversation, especially if he succeeds on the other tier two hitters. I've got four total, but three hitters Charles Davellan with the Dodgers, Wyatt Sengford with the Pittsburgh Pirates and junior Severino. I wanted to put in here with the Pittsburgh pirates. Severino specifically because dude hit 31 homers this past year, 31 homers 16 stolen bases 95 runs 111 hits hit 256 with a 308 OBP and 832 OPS used to play with the brewers. And I think this is a guy that you know maybe like he might be more of a tier three for some other people, but like 30 plus homers he's going to strive out here.
I'm also really big Wyatt Sengford fan 19 homers 33 stolen bases and over 400 OBP. I think the only player on this team like of significance with a better OBP was Cintero. So Sengford is someone that I would be kind of buying into before the AFL kind of kicks off. I mean look at this roster and Davellan by the way 24 homers 17 stolen bases 2020 guy you've got three players right at the tippy top that are like 280 plus batting averages Southstein. I think you can put in there. This is a monster roster. This is a really really good setup of players and I really like these tier two guys and I think they're kind of better examples of guys that maybe even could jump up. So everybody knows Cintero Southstein and Bonhamer but McKinsey Davellan saying for Severino I think tier two to me represents players that have a really good opportunity to kind of rock it up. Tier three we've got Charles Harlan from the Dodgers Dylan Lewis with the Miami Marlins former Yankee Owen Kerry with Atlanta and I say a Drake.
So these are guys that I'm still just giving some attention to personally like Harlan. I'm actually shocked that like the Homer and totals are still so bad but he hit 298 this past season with a 400 OBP only. I'm sorry it was a stolen base numbers that were bad 14 homers one stolen base solid year I think he's a 20 plus homer guy Dylan Lewis almost put up a 2020 season 18 homers 20 stolen bases joining the Marlins 242 average Owen Kerry is someone that had some helium and it kind of backtracked a little bit but 10 homer seven stolen bases 244 and I say a Drake good solid 264 12 homers 19 stolen bases I think these are all guys that you know I just kind of want to pay attention to. Dylan Lewis I think might be someone that pops a little bit might get some people's attention big guy big Homer potential also stealing some bases kind of taking me back to like money Harrison when he was out here he kind of did a little bit of everything but man this team offensive.
I mean look at the home run potential just getting back to it for a second bonhamer severing I mean if you look at 15 plus homers because some of these guys had missed time you got bonhamer Davell and Severino and Lewis that's not counting probably the two best players on this team and can tear and South saying and then you got guys like carry and Drake like this is I'm telling you this is a monster team of really really good players. If we go and look at the sleepers that I've got posted here handful of sleepers I like Carter Johnson that someone that I've been you know kind of into since he was drafted nothing crazy this season he had a 14 homers 14 stolen bases 240 average with 76 runs Eastern Carmichael catcher 20 homers 13 stolen bases the 287 average max Williams with the Marlins 15 homers with a 326 average. And then a couple pictures on and I forgot I also have Colby Shelton who had 24 homers and 14 stolen bases and then a couple pictures in here Matthias Lecombe who was out here in the rookie ball for a tiny bit kind of recovering and rehabbing 48 innings this year a 388 ERA a 1 1 5 whip 66 strikeouts to 23 walks and then Brooks auger with the Dodgers 59 innings 362 ERA but 85 strikeouts in that period of time.
So I wonder if auger could be maybe like a Mnc in if if he gets to you know go deep into some games or whatever 85 strikeouts is significant but I'm interested in all of those guys I think all of these guys are sleepers what is sleeper really mean in this it's just I don't think most people are in on a lot of these guys I think Carter Johnson probably had the most name value from some time ago Colby Shelton might be the most important thing to do is to get a lot of sleepers. Might be the really truest sleeper of all these guys and max Williams I think max Williams and Colby Shelton keep your eye on those guys I don't know who are taxi squadish players or anything like that but those are some guys that are kind of popping and it really shows you. When I take a look at like the overall the biggest picture of like what's the best roster with the worst roster like this team is in contention this is the one that you're going to want to go and see like. And any given day even if canteros out of the lineup like they're still putting in like really really great players what kills me this is the representation of what we wanted out of the fall league this roster is what looks like the type of teams that you want to see across the board this doesn't even have like a top 10 prospect you
don't even think it's being like over zealous of being like why can't all the rosters look something like this because they sure don't this is a great piece of it where it's got some big names it's got some really good performances on the air it's got some players that are ready to make some names I really really like the construction on this roster and not only do you've got stolen bases through the roof which is a pretty typical thing that can happen here in the fall you just got homers beyond belief so I'm very excited to be able to see this this is one luckily it is. One of the closer ones to me that I'll be locked in as much as I possibly can but it's led by canteros out seen in Bonhamer three tiers a lot of really solid players and some decent sleepers the desert dogs they're going to be sitting near the top of the air as an fall league but what do you guys think about the desert dogs roster prospect one. Now it's time for the Arizona fall league Mesa solar socks roster breakdown we're not looking at the entire roster but I've got my tears tier one tier two tier three and sleepers and if you're looking on the video side you can see it's not quite like the glindale roster in tier one we've got one player and that might even be a little bit generous as I had talked about on the open on the audio podcast side that if there's a player to the computer.
And I think it could be taken off this might be one of those guys but we are giving a tier one to angels are Janamala who is traded from the blue jays to the angels 16 homers seven stolen bases a 263 average 273 OBP. It's been a long road for namala of just you know continuing relevance or was there's a lot of hype coming out of you know the draft. There's huge power potential sometime I was it's a million times it's it's not a linear path you know what I mean there's ups and downs and like this is the prospect process couple years from now when namala if he figures it all out what's it can a matter for you this stuff but. When you are taking a look at this it is not been the path of a guy that is just continuously gone up and up and up and ranks in value but he is starting to find himself a little bit more. You love to see the power start to click in there's some stolen base potential and this is a really good setting for him this was a very. Non shocking easy one to imagine that a new team bringing him out having looks and control and letting him have this competition makes a ton of sense.
This is a phenomenal phenomenal spot for him to recoup some of the value so what I would say. From a value perspective this is one of those guys that I would want to try to pick on pick up right now because if he balls out to some degree I think because you know whatever baseball is going to look like next year and hyper focus on minor leagues like arginamala has an opportunity if he hits for decent average doesn't have big strike out potential. He's going to launch some balls out in the folly he hits five or six he hits over 300 arginamala will probably be thrust back into maybe even being like a top 100 prospect again so I think that's why you can see him as tier one when we go to tier two. I only have one tier two player for this team and it's miles Bailey and we haven't even seen miles Bailey yet miles Bailey was drafted by the Cubs. Tremendous power that's that's where I think some things could open up for Bailey out here because first off just no one seen him.
This is going to be an opportunity to get that first look this is one of the two thousand twenty six drafts but this was like huge college power exit velocity hard hit stuff and now you're going to go put him in Arizona in like beautiful weather time he's going to crush baseball and he's going to have some big loud exit velocities. And I also think miles Bailey is a lot for the home run derby the Arizona folly home run derby and that's just a fun spot now. Is it Tony Blanco where none of it matters cool you hit one one twenty one but knowing cares or is he going to show off some of that more those more college advanced skills that he's got. I think from a first year player perspective this is one of those guys as long as he has some success he's going to rise up he's going to move up because now people are going to have attention on him we're getting to see some production out of the game. Out of the out of the first year player class and this is one of those guys that is going to have just a shining spotlight on him so I believe he's a tier two base player but that's only two guys in the top two tiers of how I'm looking at the roster construction.
They do have quite a few that are interesting in tier three so again tier one is kind of the elite range tier two. I think they're just missing that spot they could be moving up a lot of eyes on those and then tier three are the players that let's definitely pay attention to there might be more there. And that takes us to quite a few players if we look at the pictures I put Jake Bloss there because the guy with major league run that he's going to be out here he just needs more seasoning and time probably the more interesting guy is Brandon Barira who is I mean this was a guy that some thought was like a locked first round type of talent there's been a lot of injuries I remember. Quite a few different people maybe it was Jeff Ponds like really loved him at one time some of the baseball America guys really loved him this wasn't a phenomenal year 487 ERA really really high whip strike out walks are a big issue but this is going to be an opportunity to maybe be in these like singular focus spots that I wouldn't be surprised I also be interested to see as this relief or is this going to be starting but I think you someone to pay attention to because maybe he could get back on the scene maybe someone you want to you know pick up on the lower.
Spots of your roster if we go to the hitting the definitely is a lot of interesting names so again like this is the tears are subjective to me. I think there are three players on this that you could call tier two but I was just trying to be really picky about all of these I mean frankly I'm telling you the mall might be more but tier two guy but Brasin I'm an butcher's last name Gudi is with the athletics if I remember correctly there was some like pretty exciting buzz in spring training in camps. 152 hits this year absolutely killer eight homers one stolen base not a lot of counting stats did hit 299 with a 342 OVP. He'll probably do a lot of the same I would expect that 299 is going to manifest and to probably be like a 400 hitter out here. Will we see some more power you know that would be something that would be interesting if he's hitting 380 and then he can launch a couple homers that's going to bring up the juice whether it's warranted or not I remember Victor Scott. You know after stealing practically a hundred bases came out to the fall league he launched a couple homers and we're like okay maybe there's some real power this is one of those sneaky guys you could put him by the way in sleepers if you wanted my sleepers were meant to little bit be more names that you probably just don't even know but he definitely is one of those guys I think of this team miles Bailey.
Is like the number one potential rocket I think the mala would be number two because of the significance of his movement he could have and I think. Racing to be number three overall Jake cook is another interesting one five homers 22 stolen bases this past year only around a ball though so you know age to level this is really important he's going to get this time hit 247. Jake Monroe is a fun one 900 OPS I believe that's the best OPS of any player on here 19 homers seven stolen bases with the 298 average 289 average. This is one of those guys put a marker on Monroe we might look back and be like can you believe we he was a tier three based player I want to see how he performs out here I think his performance this season could warrant him being a tier two guy. Probably one of the more over all best productive seasons of all these guys if we're being frank so I might be underselling him a little bit but Monroe definitely is a guy that could see some success in his value can move up and Tony Anderson with the Boston red socks hit 273 nine homers 79 hits on the year and then is on Zantello.
Who this very similar to them all of by the way but just went in the wrong direction there was some sky high hopes for him and he just hit 254 this year seven homers 12 stolen bases but getting some more hyper focus attention should be good so now here's what I'll acknowledge. This is not like Glendale but this does have depth so this is one of those teams where I think it's lacking elite talent but on any given day if you go out and you can see and Tony Anderson and Monroe and cook and. In the mall and Bailey like that's actually pretty fun it's not the worst thing in the world but the overall construction just feels blood there is no like super crazy high in talent but you know the spryce war was we're able to do that last year and succeed. So I don't mind some of the depth but the depth has questions I would rather have a lot more tier two based players and maybe these guys will get there and then sleepers sleep players I'll throw at you for sleepers Aaron Parker with Toronto. 19 homers I believe this is am I getting arrived this is Jojo part I don't know if this is Jojo Parker's brother I think I might be wrong about that but either I catch your 19 homers 12 stolen bases with the 253 average this was a double a bat that could get some attention Kate snow with the Chicago Cubs at high a 9 homers 19 stolen bases and then Jake Casey double digit homers and stolen bases this past year 13 homers 10 stolen bases with the 243 average.
The sleepers are meant to be players that you probably don't have any radar you're paying much attention to I think you guys probably know about you know the good is in Monroe but Aaron Parker Kate snow and Jake Casey might not be those are guys that might be able to put up some solid C's specifically Aaron Parker again you have to remember the environment in Arizona the balls going to fly a bit more. If they get regular bats against poor pitching for better for worse what the value ends up looking like is subjective I guess to your own analysis but I'm telling you that you know if they end up popping off Aaron Parker's might be somebody that you pick up a little bit before and you look at I think he's someone that could maybe have a solid season out here so. You know it's not a great roster I think it's you know near the bottom the bottom of what the constructed rosters look like but there are some names that could end up getting a little bit more exciting that is the mesa solar socks let's take a look at the Arizona fall league puria have a lean as by the way have a Lena a wild pig I usually do that sometimes explain the roster names but the puria have a Lena the home to the.
Padres and the mariners and unfortunately neither team decided to bring any relevant prospects to it and so the other teams had to do it you've got the Baltimore Orioles you've got the St. Louis Cardinals you got the Cincinnati Reds joining them on this one and it's broken out with we've got tier one tier two we actually have a lot of tier three guys and a few sleepers that are really coming from one team so tier one we've actually got a hitter and a picture for me I think. Could end up being the best picture out here especially from like a value standpoint Brandon Clark is going to former Boston Reds ox picture with the St. Louis Cardinals now who was lighting up like 103 on the gun he ended up pitching 29 29 innings is past year almost 30 3.34 ERA a 1.05 whip struck out 44 and 29 innings and walk 17. There is going to be a lot of focus on the fall league as a whole especially from data people because you know playouts are going to go away baseball you know whatever it's going to happen with the lockout and stuff we've also seen are some people speculated the guns can sometimes get a little hot out here here's what I'm getting at don't be surprised like I said last year when Tony Blanco hits 118 and everyone's talking about it don't be surprised and Blanton Brandon Clark hits 103 5 or pushes 101.
For in a minute now there's a possibility the team could go out there and be like hey don't do anything nuts you know we want you to bring it back but there also might be a couple those innings were Brandon Clark absolutely pulls back and let's it fly we haven't had a whole bunch of big low pitchers in the fall league I gotta be honest I'm trying to think of the guys in the past that I've seen like even hit a hundred it's pretty few and far between this guy that's going to probably push 1 to 1 to 1 to 3 sit in a hundred I don't know what the innings are going to end up look like but he's electric he's a tier one guy from a value standpoint and fantasy he definitely can I again I don't know where everybody has him like if he dominates out in the fall like I think he can especially as a lefty that I think he can easily move in as a top 100 prospect and I wouldn't be surprised after people see him talking about him being a top 50 prospect the hype Louise Pearlis got last year with the Red Sox and then ends up getting traded to the nationals for Jake Bennett who was awesome the hype that he got in
those shows that those like small little stints people are freaking out about same things going to happen here with Brandon Clark old Red Sox people are going to be excited Cardinals people are going to be excited the data that you're going to see the clips that they're going to fall into put up Brandon Clark is going to light some stuff up the other tier one guy was a high in prospect who missed some time with an injury I wish with Baltimore Orioles 16 homers 20 stolen bases with the 286 average a 388 OBP and a 915 OPS not the best OPS of any team but really solid this is a high in name that is just going to get some really good attention and really good ballpark by the way puria that ball can kind of fly over in that ballpark I have some incredible video there and you know I think maybe he and this is where the subjective thing about my personal tears you could argue he maybe he's a tier two guy but I think I have a couple tier two guys that maybe you could argue or tier one specifically one guy but those are my top two I Irish and Brandon Clark of high value to pay attention to Clark
getting more run is going to reestablish himself and I think a firmly be a top 100 guy you know I got wish with the AFL probably a 2020 guy at the end tier two three really interesting players former Mariner type Pete is going to be returning and he's returning with incredible batting average there was a time I had predicted him to be a 2020 breakout player he's got the skill set but he didn't have the average well now he does 2 96 359 OB P 900 OPS 13 homers 16 stolen bases he returns back to a ballpark that he's super familiar with another returning guy who was in the fall league years ago is to co-robate former Ranger red sock and he's going to be returning because he didn't pitch last season he wasn't or this past season he didn't pitch at all so in 2025 he in 16 starts had a 310 ERA 78 innings pitched with I just have to stretch it out or why am I not seeing it on the strikeouts with 87 strikeouts in just 19 walks
so the Cardinals have a couple decently exciting pictures I will say in previous years the Cardinals are not afraid to send out starting pictures to just pitch and relief I remember Cooper jerky was out here and he told me they just wanted him to come pitch and one inning relief spots so that could be Brandon Clark likely going to be to co-robie I would imagine it's going to just be in short stents but those two guys are kind of tier two exciting because Robby has the stuff if he could be healthy it seems like that he could be a top 100 prospect but the final guy I might not be giving enough credit to and I understand it and I think you know he was traded mid season statistically it's kind of ridiculous but people are still kind of learning what the overall value is it's Boston Smith Boston Smith was traded from the white socks to the Seattle Mariners I think in the Luis Castillo trade he hit 274 with a 424 OBP but 31 homers this year 11 stolen bases a 990 OPS from from a statistical standpoint it's not an argument he's the best guy
you know from a prospect like a valuation will he continue to be the best guy I will say he is probably top five of players that I really want to take a look at I want to get heavy eyes on that power decently going to fly unlike Seattle or San Diego the puriest stadium the ball just launches so those 31 homers are going to play really well so you know wherever you're at because I had a couple people that I know even to like didn't even know who Boston Smith was and now they're like oh 30 plus homers well if that's the case this is your attention Boston Smith is a tier two prospect going into the Arizona fall league they've got a ton of tier three guys at least under my eye here if we're looking at pictures Braxton Bragg with the Baltimore Orioles very very interested in Luke Coleman only had six innings but he had I think it was nine strikeouts one walk in a two seven ERA key for Lord with Baltimore 53 innings 84 strikeouts
walk issue 149 ERA and Cody adcock 388 ERA the older picture a bunch of strikeouts those guys from a pitching standpoint are pretty interesting I think I'm most interested in Braxton Bragg but I don't mind like you know you look at this whole thing and you're like Robi and Clark and Holman and you know key for Lord and Bragg like this is actually some pretty decent pitching but from the hitting perspective the top two guys one is a name that underperformed but has big counting stats and the other I think is just super underrated Sammy Hernandez might deserve to be a tier two type prospect he hit 279 this year with an over 400 OBP 11 homers 21 stolen bases and this is the catcher that they sent out I told you the Cardinals I want to say oh my god since I've been doing this and going to the fall league out here in Arizona they've sent out a catcher they always send out catchers I just thought they would also send out Ray no Rodriguez because they send their top catchers they did not he might be moving off position but they did send out Sammy Hernandez and Sammy Hernandez is super underrated dude
him and Boston Smith kind of going back and forth is going to be really fun and then Vance a honey cut who if you just look at the counting stats 15 homers and 38 stolen bases you're like yes please give me Vance honey cut but he hit just 208 so you know he's got to come out here and show a strikeouts coming back down he's got a show to hit for contact he really could use hit in 300 because you know he's going to launch the ball but they've got some decent decent offensive power and they've got a lot of guys to keep an eye on but just not in that sleeper range if you're looking for players that oh and by the way I had two other guys Carlos Sanchez with the reds 16 homers 23 stolen bases and Jay Allen 15 homers 23 stolen bases really good statistical seasons I'm not crazy in on either one of those guys but it'll be fun to watch them but players you maybe never heard of it's actually all Padres because they're not sending out anybody here are some guys that I'm interested in I think these are sleepers Francis Pena with the Padres in 59 innings this past year a 3.05 ERA and 71 strikeouts but he's got walk issues
let's pay attention to him Justin Decrinsio I don't know if I said that correctly 13 homers 22 stolen bases moved three levels this year and hit 270 and then Alex McCoy might be the one I'm most interested in 19 homers 24 stolen bases 278 average with an 822 OPS those are some fun sleepers Alex McCoy if you know again if I'm locking in McCoy I'm probably paying most attention to Sammy Hernandez and Honeycutt and then obviously I think tier one and tier two deserve your attention Brandon Clark can improve his value a lot I think Irish won't necessarily but Boston Smith I think Boston Smith to me from being honest feels like the Jose Bersignio of this where everyone kind of knew about the guy you're like this is cool and then he comes out and he's just undeniable and then after everyone's like is he a top 100 guy did were we sleeping on Boston Smith I'll be honest to you that's the vibe I feel from it but I just didn't want to put him into tier two tier one
quite yet because I want to see him so that's one of the guys I'm most excited about with the Peoria now it's time for the salt river rafters at the Arizona fall league that have the Arizona dime of backs and the Colorado Rockies the other teams they've got the Yankees the nationals and the twins that are going to be joining them and when we look at the tiers and we're looking at the value system they do have multiple tier one players at least that I believe are tier one players starting with Dax killbie Dax killbie is probably the biggest attention getter of all he's missed so much time no dude last year the way he moved up first year players I remember people were passing on Ethan holiday to take Dax killbie he had a great M.O.B showcase for the draft a draft combine showcase his underlying data numbers look really great you had a lot of sites talking about how this could be next level and then it was just missed time and missed time and he missed a bunch of time this year so that's why he was clearly going to come out here but even in the time that he's gotten back he hasn't quite been right at least from the expectations four homers 12 stolen
bases but hitting just 242 in that period of time he does have a 427 OPS a full run of the Arizona fall league can do wonders we can just kind of move past it this is I think there's like a couple guys that have these like fringy holds on what their value looks like killbie becomes out and then we're going to see stat cast data on you know the battered ball and he is successful I think killbie can go from you know let's just presume people have him like 75 to 100 maybe 125 he can be a top 50 prospect after this so I definitely think he could skyrocket with a really good run because he's just missed so much time and he's young as well the other hitter Demetrile Cressantis with Arizona Diamondbacks this is not me trying to be a homer but Cressantis was on the precipice of making the Major League roster he's a phenomenal hitter hit 289 371 OBP better OPS and killbie only 10 homers in his mistime and no stolen bases but I think this is the truer sense of the finishing ground you know
like the old AFL adage of like it's the finishing school this is more of that version for Cressantis that I think he'll be out here to get that work maybe the Diamondbacks make a move you know because obviously he's a second basement they could create flexibility if they wanted to move off of a of a Katell marté I'll be out I don't know if they mean he has to want to do it I would be very interested to see if he tries any other positions out here as well but then I'm back sent another guy who's a third baseman so I don't know if that'll happen those are the two big exciting offensive pieces but they've got one of the best pictures that's going to be out there the statistics from this season they don't tell a ton in the 70 I mean they do they tell the story in 17 innings yarlens Susana who used to play out here in the with the sandico padrées with the nationals 17 innings pitched to five ERA that kind of stinks but 34 strikeouts this is another triple digit pitcher he's gonna pump hundreds please please give me a Susana versus Brandon
Clark outing that's just all I need I got a what was it Jackson Job teedamin one from years ago I just need a Clark versus Susana just who can throw harder because that's what he's going to do while he's out here if he is command is decent he had a 1 1 9 whip which is solid seven walks in 17 innings he is going to blow blow balls past these guys and Susana has an opportunity kind of like Brandon Clark to just recoup the value this is a guy that is probably not seen in a lot of circles is a top one hunter guy I think James has had him pretty high it's because he's got electric stuff he's got absolutely electric stuff so I'm really going to be interested to see the pitch mix how he manages you know like Louis Staley own last season with the Orioles had just really great stuff but struggle with command and then it kind of moved him into being like a bullpen guy can Susana avoid that I would love to see him as a starter and I think he's going to be out here to get significant innings and that's what's really really exciting about him so there's three tier
one guys for the salt river team that you're going to pay attention to unfortunately in my eyes there's only one tier two guy and that might mean like have me being generous here but Patrick Forbes with the Arizona Diamondbacks and getting not trying to be the biggest home on the planet but Patrick Forbes it's a great picture and he missed some significant time but if you look at what he did in his 29 innings especially compared to Susana 273 ERA a .91 whip 41 strikeouts to just seven walks in that time I will acknowledge maybe someone else would probably put him into tier three and I am being a little bit generous but what I think here is Forbes is a guy that is going to retransform by I don't think a lot of people are talking about him nor care about him and I think he is a guy that given the opportunity on the innings here he is going to help himself and he's going to get back in especially is you know the first pitch Arizona happens and people are starting to pay attention and they're seeing starts of his I think you have much better success than David
Higman had when he was out here and he is going to get some like four innings outings where he's not giving up any runs and this is a pretty good one to punch if you get Susana and Patrick Forbes and they've even got another like starter and like Cole Sullivan will talk about but that's my only true tier two player out of this tier two players could maybe move to tier one I'd say this is probably not one of those cases but even my tier three guys the only guy almost put into tier two it's because I have a history of loving this guy it's Yosser Mercedes uh I love Yosser Mercedes but I had to put him as a tier three player because you know we had the most incredible DSL run and then absolute failure in the minors for a bit he kind of found himself this year 18 homers 52 stolen bases 249 average but really we would have loved to have seen him do this at high and then double A and he didn't get there yet so this is I think this is going to be really key this is going to be again of the top five to ten players that are I'm hyper focused on personally watching Mercedes is one of those because I want to see if there
is something real out of him I think he could put up video game numbers while he's out here and he could go from like a post 250 prospect to being a guy that people are thinking as a top 150 he could really rock it other guys Jared Thomas was actually out here I think last year he's back mis time 282 four homers 12 stolen bases he's a fun guy Yosser Soler with the Diamondbacks who I've seen for a couple years uh like in rookie ball 13 homers this past year with the 269 we got to see if there's a little bit more if he's developed I'll have a pretty good perspective of seeing him in rookie ball to see if like we have a lot more actual power potential I want to see him lifting the ball a bit more but he can't move into tier two because of that and then the final one it's really this is like a name value one it's Cole Sullivan with the Colorado Rockies he's a rocky but 80 innings a six e array I think we just got to put him on here just to pay attention to him but you know Colorado Rockies pictures I'm in general kind of
concerned about uh sleepers now I do think this team is full of sleepers I've got six different sleepers across the board that I'm very interested in and number one it this feel oh god now I'm forgetting the guy's name there was uh uh Ben Cowell's was the name with the Yankees who then ended up going to the Cows but Ben Cowell's was one of those guys that came out here and you're like man he just he just hits and he steals some bases and batting average and they got this kid Cord Jackson who's coming out and Cord Jackson hit 262 with a 360 OBP but at over 800 OPS 14 homers and 41 stolen bases he might be kind of sneaky out here I mean I think killby will like I don't know how they're gonna do the short second third like where killby's gonna play I mean in theory chrissantis is the second baseman killby's the shortstop so would maybe killby play some third and and Cord Jackson play short I don't know but I really want to see him I think he's a guy that could get back on to people's attention so that would be my like number one sleeper from this
team to pay attention to Kyle DeBarge with Minnesota 12 homers 41 stolen bases average was a lot worse than Cord Jackson you're gonna want to pay attention to him Kyle West how about a quiet 2020 season Kyle West with the Yankees 20 homers 20 stolen bases over 100 hits but only hit 226 so we got to see if there's any average there and then Jacob McCombs with the Minnesota twins 7 homers 16 stolen bases but a 268 average and a 378 OBP that's someone that can maybe pop up and then two pictures I got my attention nationals RJ sales only 13 innings but 16 strikeouts in those with a 461 ERA but a 1.02 whip so 16 strikeouts to four walks and then JT ethridge with the Yankees 70 innings 71 innings this year 105 strikeouts 39 walks so maybe there's some big starting stuff potential there so their starters might be Forbes Susana Sullivan and ethridge those are actually some really good
starters for the Arizona fall league maybe not as a whole but I think the obvious names float out to killby is gonna be able to significantly it's actually a couple of these guys killby and Susana I think are in the same spot people are a little hesitant on them but their stuff might be so loud that they're going to fly up Yossimer say it is is someone I really care about and pay attention to Cord Jackson for the salt river rafters and what their AFL team looks like prospect one it's 2026 we upgraded our phones our cars even our coffee so why are we still acting like pleasure as negotiable at pink cherry it's not they've got hundreds of toys that actually deliver and if you don't know where to start their mystery boxes make it easy go to pink cherry dot com and use promo code Chelsea to save up to 80% site wide because life is hard feeling good shouldn't be pink cherry dot com because everyone deserves pleasure hi it's Marcus Allen pro football Hall of Famer NFL in VP and

that's a plus and it has 50% more protein and 50% less sugar than regular milk that's a big plus and the fact that it didn't make a pun about moving also a plus organic valley protein plus ultra filtered milk protein plus pasture raised learn more at organic valley dot com now we go to the team last year that had the MVP of the Arizona fall league they were a powerhouse last year their powerhouse again it is the Scottsdale scorpions with my tier one tier three tier two tier three and sleepers now maybe they lack a little bit of overall depth from like tier three players and paying attention to or sleepers but their tier one and tier two are really really strong and their three players first up zaire hope zaire hope returns to the Arizona fall league last time he was here he was a Dodger and I guess it makes sense why he's coming back you know the tigers just
traded for him they just did their push last season and and this was I'm happy with this because I think my assessment was dead on where I said the tigers send big players to the Arizona fall league and they did it again they've sent from years past and Dylan Dingler and Colt Keith and Parker Meadows to last year seeing Kevin McGonagall and Max Anderson and they're sending out two of the biggest players in the fall league this round zaire hope is the top dog 29 homers 26 stolen bases with a 287 average had 111 RBI this past season he is such a monster he really really is he such a dude I love I love me some zaire hope and watching him what I'll be fascinated with is when he was in the fall league before he was such a fastball hitter he really didn't do a great job I'm breaking pitches but you threw him a fastball and he annihilated it I want to see what that looks like but you know I don't know if he can do much of improving his value but this has absolute
Kevin McGonagall vibes of a player that is going to come out here dominate and maybe just jump next season and he's in the major leagues it's him and Max Clark would not be surprised about it the personal most excited player for me though probably in the entire airs in a fall league is Bryce Rainer who I mean it looked got it looks so stupid when I think back to it but there was a time I like Bryce Rainer over Connor Griffin and Connor made just huge huge changes and looks so good Bryce got hurt and has really been battling back and had some ups and downs this season but he's coming in here with 19 homers 17 Stolman bases he hit 260 with an 834 OPS I think he has a legitimate chance of being McGonagall McGonagall what he did last year but you're not quite the most polished hitter but if he can come in against you know some of this pitching and he can hit for average he is going to run he's going to hit big homers and he's going to show out like I'm very excited about him and I think he could be one of the top players that walks out of this airs
and another one maybe one of the more underrated players is top tier player Nathan Fluelling 21 homers 8 Stolman bases a 243 average 364 OBP one of the younger dudes here as well and I would love to see him it for more average I think he's going to be super exciting to see I do think if you if you if you play the picky comparison game of my tears maybe you could be like does he belong in there but then that comes back to like I think Fluelling is a bigger tier prospect than Arjun Nemala so then we'd have to be super picky I think Fluelling is in this marker 20 plus homers added catcher super young guy what was it the MVP of the futures game like this is a lot of fun what's also a lot of fun is the next group of players and I'll be honest with you the one I struggle with the most in building my tier one and tier two was Braille and Pain because I think you can make an argument that Braille and Pain should be tier one and I ended up putting him in tier two but then I go back to thinking like does Nemala deserve to be it he's maybe he's
not as big of a name in Braille and Pain but Pain just hit is it 28 homers 28 homers 25 Stolman I have to actually confirm this I have a a sheet that was put out here and I'm going to even look just to make sure my numbers are right that I pulled out yeah 28 homers 20 shout out to my sheet 28 homers 25 Stolman bases 273 average and a 910 OPS it deserves that deserves to be a tier one guy I'm a little picky because I mean I guess he is really changed from when I saw him as a rookie and not hitting across his body this this might be one of the most incorrect things possible like he might be a tier one guy and he is kind of a bigger name and to have that power output after we saw his swing looking across his body he might end up being one of the most electric players out here so if you wanted to argue that you could end up saying that's the most amount of tier one guys some other really great ones though Dakota Jordan Jordan 19 homers 21 Stolman bases for the Giants hit 282 Jeff Kintz Kid I think yeah Jeff Kintz I mean obviously I can't I just don't
now I'm I'm with to I went to Kaden Kintz sorry Dakota Jordan awesome 1921 Kaden Kintz with the Giants 8 homers 24 Stolman bases 298 average I believe is Jeff Kintz Kid and I'm talking myself out of thinking he's he's like his nephew or something like that that happens but I do not think that's the case I think I am correct about that those two guys Kaden Kintz maybe is somebody that you could argue doesn't belong in tier two but I think he does especially from the batting average and then Eric Batonty 262 average but 25 homers and 24 Stolman bases I'm just realizing this the brewers in two players alone are sending out almost 50 home it's actually if you combine them it's an average of 50 homers to 50 Stolman bases it's 49 Stolman bases with 53 homers across two players in Braille and Pain and Batonty Batonty's great too I've watched him for a long time all of the I would specifically say pain and Batonty might be the two guys that could jump up into being you tier one-ish type of guys Braille and Pain might be maybe one of the biggest risers as well
so definitely pay attention to him and you know if you're in the prospect world owning him might be a really great time if you're in the card world that might be another guy you pay attention to that might see an influx moving up the thing that struggles with this team is that I don't think they've got the depth beyond that the names start to struggle a little bit as you can see on the visual I have on the the YouTube side of this I've only got two three tier players and then three sleepers it might be wrong but I got Brennan Summer Hill as the Tampa Bay sleeper I was never a big summer hill guy I know some others were in the draft season homers and power potential is not materialized he also kind of struggled from batting average hitting only 251 this past year but he did still 24 bases he's got to make that push former U of A kid and then Miguel Mendez who's moved multiple levels 49 innings struck out 56 really had just not a good statistical season but from a prospect perspective he is a bigger prospect to pay attention to especially if he's
starting some games and then on the sleeper I think these might be the best sleepers I put together for being honest of names were you're like who are they Houston Astros Wainer Luciano 10 homers 23 stolen bases with the 265 average no Homer a Choa junior 11 homers 29 stolen bases with the 287 average and Dalton wins from the Giants at high a not much this season but there's some real offensive potential here specifically the Astros there's didn't send anybody out any big names but Luciano and a Choa are two guys that I would be paying attention to I think all three of those guys are from absolute don't know non relevance to players that maybe could get names on I'm not super optimistic about Mendez and Summer Hill but it's that tier one and tier two those are all players that I think could get some buzz because this is also a really strong team they could all get some buzz they could all start moving up so whether that is capitalizing in the prospect market for trades whether that's capitalizing in the card market for trying to buy in on some of
those players you know maybe not so much like a hope or even a reiner of fluelling but man that tier two right there but Tanti pain I really like the construction of this team and you know at least the starting lineups are going to be strong if you're going to give me fluelling at Ketcher what would it be reiner Kent Betonty on the infield and the outfield could be hope pain and Jordan oh my god that's phenomenal and then maybe put a little Mendez out there pitching like that's it that's a really strong team again the more classic sense of what you're looking for out of an Arizona fall league team and the final team in the Arizona fall league breakdown series is the surprise sororos of the AFL tier one tier two tier three and sleepers we are lacking a little bit this is a Kansas City Royals in Texas Rangers home team you've got Phillies Cleveland and the New York Mets that are joining in the roster construction here and unfortunately this is one of the downers this is one of those lower in teams specifically because I was just so shocked at them not having a I mean we were told a Miller was going to come out here I thought Sebastian Walcott would
be here but they did surprise with the biggest name from the draft in Zion Rose the royals are sending out Zion Rose who is coming off of his you know pro debut hitting 268 a 389 OBP one homer but 14 stolen bases in that period of time he's going to get to play every day this is a home ball park I actually kind of love the move I thought more teams should have brought out some of these rookies that were just drafted and sent them out to the fall league I thought rock Chaloski should have done I mean these college players should have come out here especially when you know there's there's always a battle for talent pool it's a battle for like you know making sure that they get playing time there really is no battle here and maybe that affected some teams and thinking they couldn't get their player to get out but Zion Rose this was one of those where we were like all right you know what's going on you know like I like Eric Booth Jr. with Baltimore we're not expecting Zion Rose but I think they're just really optimistic in some of the underlying data that he's
going to be able to lift the ball a little bit more I'm going to be really curious said what they're going to be working on out here I think he's going to hit a bunch I think he's going to steal a bunch of bases but I want to see him hit three or four homers I want to see him in the middle of that line up because this is not a super strong lineup though there are a couple of returners from the AFL which is interesting there surprise I will say is always one of the sneaky teams that they don't look good on paper but then they just got this like collective group of guys where you're like all right well they'll just kind of get it done like the old royals team and like the what mid 2000s or whatever but Zion Rose is definitely a bigger name again you could questionably pick on me if you wanted to say that's not a tier one guy like okay but from a name perspective it's the biggest name that's on this team you go into the tier two range they do got a handful of names that you know there's a couple that I like a little bit more there's some name value on them from a pitching perspective just in lampkin is probably the sleepiest of sleeper pictures if you want to talk about I've also said some of the big names Shusana and Briggs McKenzie and Brandon Clark well lampkin
in almost 40 innings has a 2.04 ERA has a sub one whip and 53 strikeouts in that period of time lampkin is actually had a really really good season this is going to be for him to stack up some more innings and maybe be a force next season so don't sleep on him as far as like what he's going to be able to do as a pitcher and then he's met by a handful of infielders who I assume are going to play in field here Arun Eskbar I think was seen as a bigger prospect a year or so ago there was that remember that period of time I think honestly it was last year where he was in a ball and he was just destroying and then we're all like all right cool let's get challenged a little bit and then they didn't any net and he just like was never moving up well now you kind of see like he's up to a ball now and he only hit 2 30 this year but he did steal 23 bases hit 12 homers how 112 hits I think that's like I think it's like the most hits of any one of significance on this team so you'd be very exciting I think Eskbar can recoup some of his value if he's hitting I'm not super optimistic
because of the average but a guy that I am sneaky optimistic on is Austin Charles I love this guy big athletics little skinnier want to add more muscle but I've kind of been obsessed with Austin Charles but man is he had injuries he's had a bunch of injuries shortstop could probably play in the outfield if they wanted could play third base seven homers 10 stolen bases hit 285 this past year limited games but an 844 OPS I think his level of comfort is going to help and you know funny thing is he was at the AFL like all last year but it was just to support his teammates he's like I think he might be best friends with Blake Mitchell and he was out here all the time you I've seen him walking around as you know he was just chill so like he's got a familiarity with this I think Austin Charles is someone that is going to go from absolute non relevance to relevance again so I would definitely pay attention to him and then well been Francisco younger guy 19 homers 16 stolen bases 272 this might be the guy that can move up to be a tier one guy I don't think anyone's
talking about well been anymore really really good bat really interesting prospect kind of kind of faded out a little bit this could end up being a guy that everybody's talking about and the in field might end up being like what maybe a ruin it second well been it short and maybe Austin Charles is playing third like I dig that I think that'd be pretty slick going over to tier three there are two players two hitters that were here I think last season I think both Don Tennori is back and man I I remember a couple people god who was the I don't remember who it was now was it like Bryce Harper there's so someone who was talking up Don Tennori like just wait until you see this guy he's a guy that everybody needs in the clubhouse I like Don Tennori but he did not have a good season and I'm not sure everybody needed him in the clubhouse but this is a chance for him to recoup he hit only 238 this past year with three homers and 17 stolen bases he is going to be very familiar with this spot and I kind of feel like he was limited in some of his bats last AFL he was here I think like the second half he barely played I think this is a chance
for him to play the whole way through makes a ton of contact love to see him lift the ball a little bit more but we'll see and then Cole Mathis was a cub last time he was out he's now a New York and he hit 10 homers eight stolen bases with a 238 average in limited playing time but he did have an 857 OPS I believe that's the best besides well been for in Cisco of guys that I've talked about on the pitching side Hyrule Wyatt 28 innings 24 strikeouts a 321 ERA be very interesting to see if he's more pitcher hitter I gotta tell you though Frank Mazakato is the one where this is the put up or shut up Mazakato was such an interesting prospect I I do think back to the story billion times but me and you know Sirius and and Chris blessing also we had like I think it was like Eric Cross Eric Cross and Chris Clay were there but I think they were on like a side area and we were watching and it was all the drafted prospects it was Mazakato and Ben Caterna and I do remember
Eno being like he liked Caterna over Mazakato and you know the smart mind of him kind of foresaw it Mazakato is at injury issues he's at inconsistency he had an 8 ERA this year this might be it for Mazakato but I really want to see what changes I actually cannot even believe he has this is action as a nine number he has more walks than innings 72 walks to 71.2 innings pitched something's gotta give I am only putting him into your three because of the name value this was a guy that could have been a top 100 prospect you can't when you walk 70 to when you walk more than you pitch you can't do that so keep your eye on him we'll see if you want sleepers guys that you may not be familiar with Bruin Agbiana with the New York Mets 245 average really interesting stuff in a full you know plate of it bats I want to see Brooks Brian with the Royals he'd been
playing he's playing an instructs right now three homers 319 average with a 400 OVP in a very small sample size and then with the Texas Rangers Jacob Johnson who only went through A ball 43 innings 251 ERA 48 strikeouts but some walk issues so it's gonna be very interesting they got some heavy heavy walk players on this team they're gonna have to score some runs but that's the surprise sororos it's not a strong team unfortunately and there's quite a few of those there's some obviously fun players there's some players with experience here I struggled with this is the worst team or is it not well that's something to discuss in the final thing that I'm gonna be doing where I have the overall AFL overview of talking about potential MVP's and the biggest sleepers that are gonna pop through and the rosters but that is the Arizona Follies surprise sororos roster breakdown so the final piece is my prospect one AFL overview best roster worst roster which team do I think have the most significant tier one players best sleepers well I got a graphic for it so going down the list the
best roster in the Arizona Follies I actually thought it was tough because I it's tough because it's between two teams that doesn't make it that tough but I ended with the Glendale Desert Dogs I think some people are gonna say the Scottsdale Scorpions but that's actually something for me to give you a little bit later and I think that just ended with it's the the totality of the roster it's all of the roster together it's that yes I think both teams have three elite tier one players but as you go down I like Glendale and some of the pitch they got some interesting relief pictures I didn't talk about Pierce George is out there but I really like Briggs McKenzie I like that outfield as I mentioned they can construct Dylan Lewis Bonimer can tarot their infield South the scene Samford I just think there's a tiny bit more depth with the leetness so I gave the slight edge to the Glendale Desert Dogs the worst roster I think was between Mesa and surprise but because as I just mentioned with surprise I think there's a couple interesting bats in a runesca bar there's
some depth veterans I guess if you want to call them and Norea Matthews and they got Lampkin I'm giving the worst roster to the Mesa Solar Sox and I think I have done that quite a few times I think I did that last year they tend to be that team they they their outfield is just kind of fun Arjan Nomala is I mean Jake Monroe is probably the best statistical player Arjan Nomala is probably the biggest name and maybe he doesn't deserve to be Tier 1 and then you go through the pitching it's not a ton you know Barrairs got to be healthy they do have a veteran in Bloss but this would be the team that I think is the worst constructed roster now I had Glendale is the best roster but the best group of the Tier 1 that's going to go to Scottsdale Scottsdale with Zaire Hope and Bryce Rainer and Nathan Fluelling and then if you want to throw in who is he other I think it was also Braille and Pain is that my team with Braille and Pain on there yeah that's my Braille
and Pain team so like you could argue Braille and Pain could be on there so I think from a Tier 1 perspective I give this so the full roster is Glendale with a slight structure of the best overall player going to the Scottsdale team and I got my picture of Bryce Rainer there speaking of most sleepers well we're gonna do Bryce Rainer second most sleepers that's going to go to the Salt River team as I mentioned in the graphic when kind of you know looking through they don't have like the talent you know it's a little bit wishy washy but when you look at the sleepers it was Corgiaxan and to and to Barge and Kyle West and Ethridge like I actually I dug that sleeper group here I didn't I think there might be like a singular better player like Parker I thought was really interesting or I kind of like Jacob Johnson but the most amount of sleepers I'm personally giving to that Scottsdale team though I will say I guess more I look at it Glendale's pretty strong
to Carter Johnson Max Williams they actually might Colby Shelton I might have got that wrong that might go to them but I'm gonna give it to Salt River MVP for me I am sending it back to the Detroit Tigers and I'm gonna give it to Bryce Rainer I'm gonna give it to another Detroit Tigers shortstop feel gross about it because he's gonna be battling against Zaire Hope I do think Boston Smith is a super low key sneaky one the Glendale team is probably gonna win a lot of games but I'm gonna go with Bryce Rainer I think everyone's gonna be talking about him he's gonna do a bit of everything but maybe you know Zaire Hope hurts it a little bit most valuable pitcher can be Brandon Clark I think Brandon Clark is going to light up the scoreboards the only thing that's gonna hurt him is if he's walking guys and I think that's less of an issue for him than it is Jarlins Susana but maybe don't sleep on Justin Lampkin the number one pop-up player I'm giving to Boston Smith as I mentioned before that's you know whatever you want to call that you know how they have MVP and then there's like offensive player of the year that's like my offensive player of the year Boston Smith is gonna be the
biggest pop-up player from where he was ranked to where he is number two of the name to pop-up name to pop number two miles Bailey as mentioned this guy is going to put up some big exit velocities I think he's better hitter than someone like Tony Blanco was and if all the things click with that advanced college bat he's gonna let it fly and he is going to move up boards and people be talking about him and then my sleepers to watch I've got Core Jackson I think you probably knew that was coming and then Dalton wins with the Scottsdale team so Core Jackson with Salt River Dalton wins those are gonna be guys of complete irrelevance to players that you guys are gonna be talking about coming out of that that's my overall Arizona fall league overview there's probably other names and other cool stuff I could have done but what do you guys think who's your MVP which picture you locked into and what sleepers should we be watching I know I downplayed that this is probably the worst constructed Arizona fall league from an overall talent perspective but the one thing I'm
always open to is how great the experience is going to be there's some good high end talent and we might have even though I'm saying there's nine to ten like really good players you want to focus on mouse Bailey might get our attention I didn't put Boston Smith in there all the sudden Core Jackson hits all the sudden Braille and Pain looks insane like I am completely open to eating my words of this being the worst and it being really solid but I just still hold to it feels like it's got similar it's a better roster than the Carson Williams here which was a couple years ago but like it's got the same vibes where the depth is just not as good but the high end is there but you know what regardless of the point we love our baseball and we don't want to lose our mind league we're not gonna lose a mind of league season but we don't want to lose the overall our production of it and this finishing school of these players some of these might be more important than ever you know we clearly know some of these guys are making a push to get to the majors and if they can find a deal like what we saw in the actually you might see more of this by the way if there's significant
mistime there might be some guys because of that mistime that end up you know technically breaking camp with their teams guys like Zair hope maybe Rainer and handfuls more so love to get your guys his opinion and take on the Arizona fall league that is my overall preview and that is going to end the episode I hope you guys enjoyed it longer because it's a big old full preview again if you if you drew the podcast and you want any individual sides please consider going to youtube.com session this league you'll see the prospect one tab and I will be releasing these videos if you guys want more video based content all you have to do is subscribe that's like the number one thing and then if you know like and comment those things are gonna help I very much would appreciate that and that will literally translate right into the Arizona fall league so I will be doing some video stuff on that but always love to hear from you guys and what your take is there coming up next week before the Arizona fall league we're going to do the season breakdown episode we talk about the leaders we talk about some of the biggest risers it's going to be a full breakdown of the
